Camped here for a weekend fishing with my two adult sons My oldest arrived and was unloading his tent at the campsite I had a pick up camper unloaded from my truck

We were approached by someone I assumed was management of the campground and said that we were not allowed (3) vehicles at the campsite, we said no problem, he was just unloading and it would be moved very soon and it was We had a great weekend never had another issue until after we vacated the campsite on checkout day After I left, I received an email from the campground saying that we had three vehicles at the campsite again and “since you’re unable to follow our rules, unfortunately, we’re probably not the right campground for you” For about 25 minutes as we were packing up to leave, the camper was back on the truck and my sons vehicles were at the campsite loading upI will absolutely never spend another dime at this campground again SInce there were many “regulars/seasonal” campers that had more than two vehicles at their site continuously I guess my sons and I did not fit the afluency level with my 87 pick-up pop-up camper and my sons older boatI will make sure to let everyone that I know not to use this campground unless you drive a $250,000 motor home and have and equally expensive boat because they discriminate against us less fortunate people

Restful & quiet , with great food 2 blocks from down town Whitehall Great place especially if you like chocolate We prefer the Godiva room over the kitchen with a small balcony

Can smell the delicious aromas of breakfast & freshly brewed coffee The innkeepers are the best we’ve encountered We go back as often as we can for the peace it offers & the easy exploration of the shops, eateries of Whitehall & Montague, as well as Lake Michigan/White Lake shores

We had an amazing stay at the Cocoa Cottage Bed and Breakfast We could not have been treated better We were welcomed with an afternoon treat of wine and a delicious chocolate treat

Lisa even went as far as checking on a restaurant we were interested in and made the reservations for us Imagine our delight when we returned to our rooms later that evening to find another home-made chocolate treat left on our beds, along with a handwritten, personalized note left by Lisa and Larry We had the most outstanding breakfast prepared by Larry, with yet again, another sweet chocolate treat to compliment the meal We found Lisa and Larry to be delightful, kind and informative hosts We would love to return again and will absolutely recommend this establishment to our friends

Rebecca Thomas

Our stay at Cocoa Cottage was amazing! Larry and Lisa have done a wonderful job restoring their home and providing a unique and pleasant experience The house was gorgeous We couldn’t get over the beautiful trim and detail throughout the home

The special chocolate touches in everything were wonderful Homemade cocoa with breakfast, delicious chocolate ganache, chocolates waiting for us throughout the day in our room All so yummy and appreciated The hand prepared breakfasts were above and beyond Our Suite had a wonderful Jacuzzi tub Lisa and Larry were great about suggesting things to do around town Stores to stop in, Places to eat, where to rent bikes, kayaks, etc The outside area was enjoyable as well It was a little early in the season to take full advantage, but there were pleasant and private sitting areas to enjoy throughout the property We’re looking forward to staying at the Cocoa Cottage again in the future

We chose this park over state parks since they used to take better pride in their park and actually enforce the park rules so that all staying could enjoy their vacation State parks have become insane! However, this trip to Pioneer County Park felt very similar to a State park It

Was Chaos Music at all hours, howling dogs left out on cables all night and all day without supervision, party tents set up We came to relax and would love for everyone to do the same! Your vacation shouldn’t infringe on mine We left a day early due to the inability to sleep with mass chaos the park couldn’t/wouldn’t control despite repeated calls requesting such

3/4 sides of this building face the water, even if you don’t spring for the balcony you can open the sliding glass doors and soak in the breeze and the sounds of the lake I was on the 9th floor and it was a great view Only one elevator was working at the time so sometimes it would get crowded with people trying to go up or down from several floors, but the elevators are quite fast so it was manageable

Room was impeccably clean and there was a good assortment of different fill pillows as well Bed was comfortable

Casie Hartwick

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views, excellent customer care and clean, quiet, spacious rooms My room did not have a tub but it did have a really nice, large shower My room also had a Keurig, so I was able to bring my own k-cups and enjoy coffee as if I were at home!I would definitely recommend this place

There is a restaurant within the hotel too, so if you’re not the type to wander a new city, this is perfect

Rene Peery

We stayed 7 nights summer of ’22 Well maintained grounds and pools 5star view from our room

I wish our room had been a little cleaner at check in, but overall we had a fantastic stayThe bathroom do need an update, but for the price I paid I can’t complainAlso the Lake House restaurant is EXCELLENT

What can I say? This place was amazing!!! Stayed here for a few days on family vacation Loved that it’s close to the beach & a couple restaurants, one actually just a short walk away The room was nicely decorated and very clean

Next to a marina which was very nice sitting on the bench looking at all the different sailboats Hope to come back next year!

Chelsea Hensbergen

Found this on a whim for a romantic winter getaway and what a cute little place! Everything was immaculately clean and it smelled amazing as soon as you walk in Very quiet with soft white noise machines and comfortable king bed There are only 9 rooms so I’m sure it books up quickly in the summer

Very close to the beach and lots of amenities (board games, fireplace, snowshoes, sleds, etc) The owner was also extremely welcoming and friendly when I spoke to her on the phone

Maria Michel

Had a girls weekend here to celebrate some birthdays and it was a perfect stay! The owners were so welcoming and even drove us into town as we were having trouble finding an Uber Our drive into town was complete with a little tour of the downtown and highlights of what’s new and what to check out! Such hospitality! I would definitely recommend this place The room was clean, cozy, and felt like a small apartment with a stove top, big fridge, and an amazing shower! I also loved the unique style of the loft beds, made to look like vintage boats

I look forward to staying here again in the future 🙂

Front desk staff were helpful and pleasant, room was clean and nicely laid out This is a fairly new renovation and the upgrades are very chic There was no tub in my room only a shower but it was really nice

I was able to use the pool and hot tub all alone and the poolside towels are excellent The whole space was well maintained and clean It was a really pleasant and comfortable stay I can’t really comment on value as I had to go for a work event so it was a block rate But I was on the 4th floor and could view the lake from my window which was quite pleasant

S Reynolds

Great location over looking downtown Updated rooms, comfortable beds and pillows Pool and hot tub were nice, we did not eat at the restaurant but it was very nice in there will dimmed lighting, fireplace and outdoor seating

I’m only giving it a 4 because the windowsill was full of paint chips Being a mother of 3 little ones who love to look out the window it should have been cleaned out Rooms were a little small but still comfortable

William Sharpe

The room was satisfactory

however the pool was murky, the hot tub had a layer of thick foam on top( which we steered clear of), the adult swim curfew also was not very well enforced(multiple children remained in pool until 11:15), and the breakfast was made to seem complimentary until we were presented a hefty tab after dining After what was charged for the room breakfast should have been included for what it was(nothing special)The workout room was very nice as well
