Dear person looking for a hotel to stay at,Stay here! If it is military TDY related, or your family is on PCS to this installation, or if you are just traveling along the 5 and need a place to rest, this is the spotMy family and I did approximately 15 days in this hotel and they made us feel so welcome that we didn’t want to leave!Front desk staff was quick, responsive, friendly, and reliable Was able to quickly adjust to some extensions if needed

I cannot thank them enough for our stayThe breakfast is ALWAYS phenomenal Coffee never ran dry not once! And available 24/7 Bold and delicious The employee that usually works there even went out of her way to find me a granola bar, how sweetAlways very clean and Jeremy maintains the pool as if it were his own! My kids loved swimming and my 5 year old even learned to swim while there Soaking in the hot tub is great after a long dayI will be recommending family and friends to stay here in the futureKindest personal regards,The Phelps family

Former employee, everyone staring from the former owner Andrew to the new management is people that really appreciate their employee’s efforts and opinions, front desk, housekeeping, everyone works as a team, it was hard having to leave I wish y’all the best, and thank y’all for caring about us My boss, my supervisor, my coworkers thank y’all

GM is a liar and a thief I smoked a bowl of cannabis out of my window as I was preparing to take a bath and got kicked out Left without any scene made

The gm was excessively aggressive asking us to leave, rasing his voice and peering in our window prior to knocking on our door Charged me the $250 dollar deposit after he explicitly stated he would not Was charged $400 for a room we didn’t even spend less than 2 hours in, let alone do ANY damage to! Completely unreachable via phone or email

The absolute worst experience with a hotel! Never in my years of travel had I experienced such poor customer service, lack of care for cleanliness, sanitation, and a willingness to help their customers On the day of check in while we were traveling we received a voicemail the hotel needed payment before checking in, sense we didn’t answer (again traveling) they canceled our reservation gave or requested room type away and then proceeded to explain because we didn’t answer our phone and with only several hours left before we checked in they had to cancel the room Stay here if you dare! It’s not worth your time, money or health!! They don’t care about you or your family

While the hotel itself is usually OK are the changes due to Covid challenging for the guests Room service is reduced to once per week, while that is OK due to the current situation should have rooms though been equipped with more necessities such as toilet paper, towels, laundry baskets etc Also, would it be nice if each room would have some sanitizing wipes so guests can clean their rooms since Room service only happens once a week

When you have kids and/or dogs you can imagine the mess that could happen, especially with the carpet floors that the rooms are equipped with so be prepared to bring a bunch of wipes and maybe some carpet cleaner so you don’t walk on stickiness until Room service comes While it is completely understandable that during these uncertain times change had to happen, could have other things like equipping rooms with more necessities been implementedAlso,During our stay were there dog poop stains in the hallway for almost 4 days While no fault to the hotel or it’s employees and only the fault and laziness of the Dog’s owner is it still disgusting to see it and it’s a germ pool It simply should have been cleaned right awayFurthermore,The situation with the laundry room is not any better While the washing machines are fast and get the laundry clean, are the dryers the opposite Small loads of laundry took 3 hours to dry and sometimes even after 3 hours it was still damp Either replace the dryers or make sure that they get cleaned out properly (vent, lint trap etc)

Great military hotel to stay in The breakfast was GREAT! The staff were super friendly from check-in, housekeeping, and the kitchen There are also free laundry facilities on-site, just bring your own detergent

My only two gripes were the internet and cable TV The internet is very slow, so if you plan on streaming shows or movies (and you will want to with the second gripe)…be patient! The second gripe is the cable TV is standard definition It is 2021 and you have HDTVs in every room…yet every cable channel is Standard Definition With the size of the TV, it looks TERRIBLE The selection of channels and movie channels were great, it was just the picture qualityOtherwise, I highly recommend this hotel!

Tim Smith

Overall quite decent and I enjoyed my stay The reduced and discounted rate that was offered for the month of April was a good idea but was just a beginning The rates are still way out of line with what is charged at other Army lodging facilities

These other Army lodging facilities provide substantially the same level and quality of services They do so and offer substantially better rates

The good reviews here are well-founded We checked in around 10:30 pm with four children Although there were no available parking spaces left near the entrance, the receptionist (Otillia) kindly moved her car to open up a space, which made the unpacking much easier

We had interactions with about four other staff members, all of which were entirely pleasant

Unplanned stop due to weather I love the grand feel of the lobby with couches in several groupings, TV area and the lovely woodwork of this hotel Staff were very pleasant and professional

The room and other areas were clean and pleasant Room was quite large and we appreciated the refrigerator and microwave so we could have a nice dinner without going out again in the weather Business center was appreciated as we needed to print some materials for our zoom calls The breakfast was excellent and used good covid safety procedures Breakfast staff were very helpful to customers, especially some who were in wheelchairs and needed assistance Since we stopped because of the weather, we probably will not need to stop there again, but if we do, this is where we will stay

This was a great stay! The front desk staff was friendly and professional Our room was a good size and very clean Parking was easy and free

The hotel is close to lots of shopping and in quick cycling distance of the Chehalis Western Trail (which is absolutely beautiful!)I washed several loads of laundry here and it was inexpensive compared with other hotels where I’ve done laundry However, the dryer was somewhat ineffectiveAlso, we loved the included breakfast There was a variety of offerings and plenty of itWe would absolutely stay here again!

Very clean and comfortable Rooms are spacious and provides a curtain to add a little privacy between bed and sofa bed (great if you have a kid) The rooms are well insulated

Even though our room faced the interstate and train, it didn’t keep us up Breakfast was decent for a continental type We stayed 4 nights prior to our military move Would definitely recommend!

I am a professional traveler, and I highly recommend this hotel I have used this Home2 Suites on several trips to Joint Base Lewis McChord, and they have always been kind and very accommodating The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well stocked

Breakfast is the typical self service style, and has a good assortment of items to choose fromOn a recent trip, shortly after arriving, I had an untimely death of a family member The staff was understanding and helpful with making my early departure as painless as possible, and I must give a special mention to the night manager, Sarah She is a special human being, and her kindness to me at a very difficult time in my life does not go unappreciated Thank you Sarah, and to everyone else who makes this my favorite Tacoma area stay!

I’m legit flabbergasted at anyone who gives this incredible place a 1-star rating over a cancellation policy You want free cancellation at the last minute, go stay at a large corporate hotel instead of a small family-run business who can’t rebook the rooms at the last minuteThat being said, Casey and Nathan are the most wonderful people ever

We ended up finding this place after an Airbnb turned out to be not what we had hoped for for a romantic getaway They took us in, treated us like family, and salvaged what might have been a terrible nightWe try to stay there every few months The breakfasts are always inventive and delicious and they take great care of their guests We love them and highly, hugely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway We always stay in the Astoria room because of the huge jacuzzi tubYeah, they’re the best

Nancy Miller

“This was a Mother’s Day gift from my son and daughter-in-law (great kids!) They thought I needed a relaxing day to myself and gifted this 4-hour spa treatment for me at Swantown, a brand new experience The afternoon was perfect, with a warm foot bath experience and gorgeous tea service, a two-hour massage (no, it’s not too long) by a fantastic guy (thanks, Josh!), and a fabulous luncheon tray fit for royalty

A warm steam shower afterward and just some time to myself, uninterrupted I felt like a queen upon leaving this beautiful period styled establishment that felt like home the second I stepped into the foyer Would recommend to anyone!”

Nice hotel was a last minute booking due to issues at another hotel we booked Staff was nice, yummy breakfast, easy check in We stayed 1 night

Housekeeping was at our door at 10:25 My husband was in the shower and they barely knocked so I did not hear it I thought it was my kids She asked if we were checking out I said yes according to the website booking check out is at 12 We start taking stuff to our car at about 11 We get back to the room for the rest of our stuff 5 minutes later and our key doesn’t work anymore I asked the house keeping in the hall to open the door so we could get the rest if our stuff and again asked if we are checking out today

Sarah Brooks

We stayed here for a week with 2 families in 4 rooms It was a wonderful experience I cannot say enough about the amazing staff

The front desk staff went above and beyond to help with certain needs The breakfast ladies were phenomenal! Breakfast itself was great with lots of options The housekeeping staff were so friendly and helpful The hotel was very clean and comfortable We had large vehicles with trailers attached so ample parking was helpful Located next to Costco across the parking lot from Chic Fil A Walmart was very close as well We mostly ate in our rooms or when we were out and about I would go out of my way to stay here again rather than another location bc you just never know what you’re going to get This place seems really consistent

I love this hotel! The pool and hot tub are perfect The staff are always so nice and bend over backwards to be helpful I got my daughter a to-go plate from their breakfast buffet and from start to finish, she was over the moon

“This is the sweetest cantaloupe! The sausage is incredible!” I took a video of her eating breakfast because I’ve never seen her so happy with her food A+

Excellent service from the staff Carolyn, the GM, has been extremely helpful along with the staff for accommodating our needs for an extended stay It’s pricier, however it’s well worth it to have a place to stay with a functioning mini-kitchen, showers and beds

A small taste of home away from home Also pet friendly, but the places for pets to use the restrooms are limited

Larry Clutter

$300 for this hotel is like paying $75 for a loaf of bread Run down, not well kept at all, worn out, and I paid for a King sized bed and got a Queen I am a Platinum Member with Marriott, and supposed to be on the top floor so I can hear the heard of elephants above me

One of the perks of being Platinum Level I got the basement Not even the 1st floor I asked about the top floor and even the King Bed, and was told they were sold out I booked the room 3 months ago I would sleep in the car before paying $300 for this place again

Jenner Southerland

This is my second time staying at this hotel Both times, the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful The area of town is nice and walking distance from lots of restaurants and shops

The rooms are nice and updated The reason for only 3 stars? Both visits, I was traveling with my sister and slept on the sofa bed On the second stay, the outside of the sofa was covered in crumbs and house cleaning didn’t change the dirty sheets inside Not sure if I will be staying here again Lord knows what else isn’t clean!

Originally when we got our room it was supposed to be king size, we ended up with a queen our first night and the next day they were able to move us in the room we wanted Mostly clean but we found a random spoon and 2 batteries Great hospitality just wish everything went to plan originally

Good area too for people looking to stay in a nice neighborhood just outside the city Changed review from 2 star to 5 when we got the room we booked

Jon Martin

Previously, I did not add any info here besides the 5 stars but would like to amend thatI stay at this Hampton Inn quite regularly and every time I have come the staff have been exceptional! Extremely accommodating and caring for the folks staying with them It’s truly the staff that make this Hampton Inn my stay of choice

The breakfast has always been delightful and fresh (especially for a hotel buffet) The pool and gym are well kept The rooms are always cleanI would only make two suggestions for potential improvement1 Would like to be able to crack open the pool room windows to increase ventilation Only 1 window cracks open about 3 inches currently2 Would like if it were pet friendly

Graig Butler

I’ve stated here 5-6 times for work over the past year Front desk representative Kay is always the most welcoming She is engaging, personable and efficiently checks me in each time

Kay needs to be recognized for her quality serviceThe facilities are nice and the rooms are always spotless The only critique I might have are the not so tasty eggs at breakfast

Was told I had to park in the lot at $10+ tax Turns out street parking was free between 5pm and 8am so that would have worked fine for me Bottled water is $5, which is straight up highway robbery

I could hear footsteps above me until that person went to bed Was asked by staff “what brings me to town” which is an annoying disingenuous question and frankly none of their business, kind of like when the cashier at wholefoods asks what your plans for the weekend arePrice was ~$180 There were no bedbugs and the room smelled fine Toilet was cleanI mean if you didn’t do your homework to find a good Airbnb ahead of time and you need something last minute in downtown Olympia, this is what there is It’s not bad It’s not great Bring earplugs and check out the street parking before you decide to pay to use their lot

Michael Longo

This hotel is in a serious state of disrepair The bathroom looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years There is blood on the walls

The ottoman in living room is torn up The curtains are filthy Half the rooms in the building are tented and are being gutted The website advertises having electric vehicle charging and the front desk informed us there isn’t charging and that they need to update the website On top of that parking costs $10 a day which is a joke I am just getting back into staying with Hilton and this is leaving a really bad impression Tried to use the online chat feature on Hiltoncom to voice concerns and was told they can’t do anything since I was already checked in You can’t take feedback on a property after some is checked in? What a joke I have a lot of travel booked with Hilton this year, but I might need to start going back to Marriott after this

Alexandra Parrott

The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the front desk staff I’ve stayed here three times this year and the last time I just decided not to give it another chanceWhile the staff is very friendly and helpful, the last time we stayed we had to switch rooms twice

Construction starts early in the morning and is so loud it wakes you up Heater was broken in the second room But worst of all, the shower is terrible Luke warm at best, water pressure sucks and the shower head sprays everywhere The design of the shower makes it so you have to walk in and stand under the water just to turn it on, so you get sprayed with cold water Parking $10 a day, as others have mentioned If I can’t have a hot shower, and can’t have peace and quiet because of construction, why would I stay here?

Last night at about 2am I called to book a room and the guy tried very hard to NOT get me to stay there Even suggested the Lacey location I told him I really wanted to stay there

He said he only had his MOST EXPENSIVE room available but I said I’d take it When I got there I found out that this hotel is not American It absolutely refuses to accept cash at all It says right on our money “this note is legal tender for all debts, public and private” (please take note of the word ALL) I even offered to put my credit card on file (with all the funds) and then pay in cash in the morning When I asked about WHEN they stopped accepting legal tender the guy told me I had an attitude and then said “You know what, you had an attitude on the phone too I’m refusing service to you You can’t get a room here” I told him I was only trying to have a conversation with him but left and found a much friendlier hotel at Best Western

Creator Gator

Mason, the person working the front desk the night of arrival and departure, was a great, fun person, who went out of his way to get a tape measure to measure the bed in my room (it looked smaller than what I thought a queen bed was, but it was ultimately a queen bed) Outstanding service by him, and room was super clean, with a great breakfast They have cooking supplies, but be sure to bring your own glasses and silverware!
