We stayed 4 days and the customer service was amazing The hotel was very clean and close to a lot of restaurants and stores It’s directly across from Walmart, which you can walk to

The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave They stated you must request for housekeeping daily, which I did but they didn’t come I had to look out for them in the morning to request fresh towels etc The breakfast was decent eggs, sausages, muffins, cereal, bagels, and beverages The pool was too cold I just put my feet in It does stay open late and honestly it was pretty empty during the week My wife and I was the only ones there, so I listened to my music and had some wine Overall great vibes, great customer service, and perfect location

Was here for an extended stayOverall this is a good hotel in the area, however I think the weekend rates are silly expensive half the time, just for the sake of being expensiveRoom is nice and kept clean

Housekeeping staff are very nice and try to be accommodatingOnly real gripe with this hotel is the noise level Some doors in this place are broken These doors will slam shut instead of close shut softly, and it is loud Whether or not this is expensive to fix, I don’t know, but can be frustrating as a guest A handful of times I’d woken up to this soundWalls in this hotel are also not very thick I’ve been able to hear full conversations between people in the room next-door, without even trying to

N P

The rooms were imaculant and comfortable The hotel in its entirety was beyond spotless clean The staff was excellent from check in to check out and the breakfast was nice and hot and fresh as well as the coffee

The only thing I would change about this hotel is for them to get a hot tub lol Even though we did not use the pool we did go check it out and that was well was very well kept and clean also and the water felt quite warm

What a joke! I call because I have a reservation to see what the accidental deposit is and they say $40-400 they wouldn’t give me exactly number Then the front desk lady kept breathing on the phone when I asked for manger since she can’t do her job Marriott has fallen to the worst hotels and customer service

It’s sad to see a great corporation gone down hill Now you just lost out on $250 because you’re employees are rude and don’t do their job!

Subpar Towneplace Suite nationwide, and based on price and being considered a 3-star on google, i’d say 3/5My second stay reminded me not to stay here again Worn out rooms and had to sign a “no-party waiver”

Yikes as a titanium elite memberBright spot – the Staff The staff let me pick/switch/change rooms on both staysNumber of Stays: 2Room: 1 bedroom suites2021/2022As a frequent business & leisure traveler, I’ve decided to go back through the years and review the properties I stay at most Hilton (Diamond) Marriott (Titanium Elite) This is my 5th in this effort

The room smelled like a men’s locker roomThe pool room was dirty and had no ventilation for the overpowering chlorine smellBathrooms by pool were rusty and disgustingThe breakfast was okLoud music and parties keeping me up thru the night

The pet odor was terrible everywhereI would not recommendNo towels by the pool when asked the front desk they said use the towels in our room, when we asked for towels for our room we were given attitude

This was the best hotel stay we’ve had as a family in a very long time! The pool was great for the kids, everything was very clean The suite we got was perfect for a family of 5, I highly recommend getting it if you have small kids! The staff was very friendly and helpful Breakfast was included and that was really, really good as well

The hotel is within walking distance to Wenonah park where there’s usually something fun happening like craft shows or bands performing, there’s also so many restaurants and cool little shops to check out near by too! We will be visiting again!!

Zachary Felcyn

Really nice hotel Stayed 2 nights and had a great time Highly recommend the breakfast, this is no ordinary continental breakfast they had Omlets, cereal, fresh bacon and bagels with a self serve waffle maker, and more

Very comfortable room, nice swimming area as well, could be a bit bigger but was well kept Well stocked bathroom amenities as well, detailed products such as make up remover wipes came in handy

Max S

Was told several weeks before check in that I would be able to extend my check out time by 2 hours if I needed to Then called the night before, was told to call the day of to extend the timeDay of arrives, and they wouldn’t let me extend the check out time because they’re sold out

Update: once they cleared it with housekeeping, they were able to extend the stay for an hour I’ve updated the rating to reflect the accommodation

BED BUGS!!!! IN MY BED!!!!I politely went to the front desk when checking out to ensure I wasn’t charged for my unpleasant first half of my stay after discovering a bed bug crawling right up to me at 1:30 at night The manager immediately told me they don’t have any bed bugs in their establishment I told her that the other staff had recognized it as bedbugs and had dealt with the issue quickly and efficiently and we’re given copies of the photo, to get me out of the room and into another

She kept arguing with me denying the event so I showed this picture of it to her She immediately went silent and went to refund my roomShe lied to my face and denied the incident happened, and was not going to do anything until I showed her the picture When she got back she told me they have no bugs in their hotel, despite the picture, included below, so I won’t mention the other bug like the spider I found in the bathroom of my next room But there were certainly bed bugs In my bedHer negligent attitude toward the incident alone has me feeling like something is not right behind the scenes here and led to this review

Paul K.

Clean and friendly, but undergoing renovations at this time The only negative I have is that there was only one staff member doing breakfast She was clearly overwhelmed and overworked

She needed someone to step in and help Both mornings the trash cans were overflowing, and she could not keep up with keeping food filled for the guests I believe she did the best she could do, kudos to her On the way out, I stopped by the front desk to share this info and was hoping that someone could give her some help The only response I got from both people at the front desk was just a basic acknowledgement that I spoke to them There were at least 4-6 employees in the lobby areaHopefully, someone quickly dealt with the situation, by at least emptying the trash cans, restocking plates, bowls, napkins, plastic ware or anything else that they could have done to help the overwhelmed lady in the breakfast areaTo all those people who took the time to read this post, please remember to thank those who do the sometimes “thankless jobs” Without those people doing those jobs, we wouldn’t have good continental breakfasts, clean businesses, stocked shelves, the list can go on A simple, SINCERE, “thank you for what you do” goes a long way

Diane Williams

Hotel is under renovation but staying open, this we didn’t know Some amenities still needed to be completed, like a shelf or two in the shower to lay soap, razor or whatever, dispenser needed to be in the shower Our room had a iron but no ironing board and my sister’s room was opposite

Breakfast was just okay First day they ran out of bacon with an hour of breakfast left Next day they served turkey bacon

Nice location Staff were not very nice The night receptionist didn’t even know where to get a blanket or an extra pillow without calling her GM

When we were there we ordered a huge Cottage Inn pizza The pizza was delicious but we waited for the pizza in the lobby and was rudely asked to leave the lobby The lobby was closed, so not even 1 person could sit and wait No harm in that right? Wrong The receptionist was very rude and so was the manager the next morning The pool was ice cold so don’t plan on swimming No towels for swimming, no microwave, and not even a complimentary cup of coffee I’ll stay somewhere more welcoming

Emma L

I would NEVER recommend having any type of event at this location I rarely make these negative reviews, but I could not sit on this any longer and would hate for any of you to be in this same unfortunate experience All we wanted to have was a nice bridal shower and what we got was a very disappointing experience

The staff was irresponsible along with event planner Keeley and Michelle the GM They completely botched our event that had been in planning for over 6 months Staff didn’t even know of the event or have a copy of the contract that was signed by both parties We had to provide so they knew what was expected of them They were hours late getting the food and beverages to the room, of which weren’t even what we ordered After all of this we got ZERO explanation of what went wrong and little to no compensation for this disaster of communication and planning from Marriott Please don’t waste your time or money What was meant to be a nice day spent with family and friends turned into days of agony dealing with people who couldn’t take responsibility for what happened on their account

J G

Bed bugs, informed staff but there was no follow upCleanliness is not great such as hair found all over bathroom, carpets not vacuumed, surfaces not wiped down, and old smelly pillows Seems like conditions are degrading

Have stayed at this location off and on for several months but the lack of attention to the bed bug issue is the last straw and I will not be returning

Nice pool it is properly maintained as well as the indoor/outdoor pool Room was clean This business from what I observed has just re-opened there are thing that are lacking but the overall stay was good

If the owners get serious about this hotel property it would be a very nice place to stay it has a nice decor, nice golf course Id be interested in throwing events there because it has the potential to be a great event hotel

Sure things are a little unkempt for the age of this Resort, I however can look past such things and feel the years of life inside these walls My 3 night stay was perfect Heater works, hot running water for showers, clean linen, towels and toiletries were all provided

If you move the antenna around you do receive a few channels My only complaint, when we added extra nights, we weren’t even offered an extended rate, nor the rate paid via Expedia As an after thought we should have then said okay go up to our room and check out the rates to see if we could get that reduced rate again The rooms truly are not worth $99 a night with no microwave, no mini fridge

Kassidy Smith

is place is shadyyyyyyy last summer I booked my wedding through them never once was told the building was for sale my wedding was supposed to be 8/20/2022 (now 8/19 because everything else was already booked)

in March they posted that they were closing with no reopen date no one called me would answer their phones nothing finally after about 2 weeks we were told that they would not be reopening and had sold the building to turn it into a medical facility I asked about getting my $1000 deposit back and they said it would be a couple months I just went and canceled the check during their news interview they also said they had not taken any deposits since they had reopened in may (LIARS!) I would not book anything here EVER the building is probably still up for sale they are just trying to get every penny they can the employees were told day off they had to get their stuff and leave(at least what the former wedding coordinator told me) they had party’s that weekend that just didn’t have a place my coworker saw they were reopening and tagged me in it they have laughed at our comment and then deleted them

Clean, modern styling Excellent, friendly staff The shower head was actually tall enough! The best hotel breakfast we have ever had (and hubby travels for work)

Several different pillows to choose fromThe boys loved all the charging ports and the wireless charging in the lobby! Good exercise room and pool

Will Dunn

Completely satisfied Room was clean, breakfast was typical, but the staff was really what stood outI was here for business and took up two days of their lobby to work

They were happy to assist when I needed something, never once made me feel like I was in their way, and occasionally checked in on me to see if I needed anythingI travel 2-3 times a month for work, and I will be using this hotel for my Midland, MI area work going forward My compliments to the staff, especially the woman who ran the breakfast area on 3/23 and 3/24, and the delightful housekeeping staff over the same days

Kaila Leary

I love staying at this hotel every time that I come to my hometown This hotel is updated and clean The staff is always friendly and welcoming

There is one tiny annoyance— the parking This hotel occasionally has large trucks that take up multiple parking spaces making it sometimes difficult finding a spot Overall, you will not be disappointed choosing this hotel

It was very easy to get to, but the rooms weren’t the cleanest We had multiple rooms for a conference, one had hair in their bed, one was missing their full length mirror, and mine had mold in the caulk in the shower Breakfast was good and the staff was great

Just should’ve been better maintainedThe conference room also had a smaller TV than my living room (honestly, less than 45 inches) it’s a big room- there was no way the people in the back were reading ANYTHING on it

Brittany Kurtz

Great family hotel with 1 major issue in personal opinion Overall, this is a great hotel The grounds and landscaping are kept nice

The breakfast has options for all and was very good The breakfast area coffee – not great The pool was clean, not packed, and well stocked Very clean overall Very attentive and helpful staff However, one major issue in our room was the bathroom door We had a 2 bed and pull-out couch room The bathroom door was a sliding door with no lock and major gaps on the sides If you are traveling with kids, like us, this may be highly uncomfortable I had to resort to getting dressed inside the shower/tub because my 2 year old would pull open the door and all of the kids would see me undressed in the doorway This wasn’t great for anyone going to the bathroom or needing privacy in general, because you could see into the gaps from both sides of the room

Kendra Burch

We were in town for a youth state bowling tournament Our league reserved a block of rooms, and trust me, there were a lot of us! But the staff were wonderful and accommodating We had a shelf in our room that had come loose (we found it after we arrived)

They fixed it quickly The pool was small but the kids had a blast The complementary breakfast was adequate and filling The only downside, and I find this at most hotels, is the bed and pillows were super soft Neither my husband nor I slept well Otherwise, we really have no complaints!

Sub par food at the Hampton Inn in Saginaw, MI Food seemed old Oatmeal was dry

Signs around breakfast area said 6am to 10am On Monday morning they close at 9am If that is the case, new signs need to be put in place I was not informed at checkin of this time Staff was a little unhelpful when my cousin walked in at 9:15 and grabbed what was left, a bagelStaff didn’t come up to clean my Aunt’s room during their 3 night stay after requesting it on more than 1 occasion Maybe team is understaffed?Hotel looked new or recently renovated Gym was spacious and comfortable looking Lots of diamond parking which was nice, as people don’t seem to care of their status and park there anywaysI would request at a minimum that Hilton corporate gets them 2 new signs for the breakfast time, as there were 2 incorrect signs saying breakfast was 6am to 10am

We have always loved staying at Hampton Inn locations & that’s why we chose this for our trip to Saginaw Check in process was quite lengthy but I was patient because I understand there can be understaffing & every guests needs are different upon checking inWe got to our room & I always check around for the cleanliness of the room before getting settled in

The bed immediately grossed us out There were black hair all over the top of the comforter & with further inspection there were black hairs all in the sheets & on the pillows There was also a dried booger from I assume either a previous guest or staff member on the sheets under the comforterThere was a sticker on the bathroom mirror letting guests know all the extra precautions they were taking for keeping the rooms clean & sanitized for each guest I then saw the remote to the TV & it was covered in greasy fingerprints, which told me it was not cleaned at allWe’ve always chose to stay at Hampton’s because of they’re amazingly comfortable beds & luxuriously soft bedding, this location has made us change our mind & we will be searching for a different hotel option if we return to the Saginaw area The mattress itself was so uncomfortable & you could feel all the springs in your back & ribs The bed creaked & you could hear the springs every time you tried to roll over The pillows were extremely lumpy & the bedding was so scratchy there was no getting comfortable while trying to sleep hereMy husband had an extremely important exam the next morning for a possible job & we left the hotel extremely unrested because we were up all night from the uncomfortable bed & the inability to regulate the room temperature The unit made the air either freezing cold or very warm & it was so loud it would wake you out of the little sleep we did get The intake on the AC/heat unit was also so dusty it looked as though it had been neglected for quite a while

Very disappointed book room weeks in advance Have confirmation of one price, was charged over $60 more on my card Check my email and they charged the room $30 more per night

Call up to them and asked for a explanation and she tells me their is nothing they can do that is the rates per night even though I have email confirmation Our room had no sheets or blankets for the pullout, went down to desk and asked for some was told they were out Which is upsetting because When we arrived our room was changed we booked a queen double suite and was given a king suite, hence why we needed to use the pull outI had booked many rooms together and we were not even near each other, we were on separate floors I even called and confirmed everything a couple of days before and was told yes there is notes and we will all be by each other Once again I asked this to be fixed and was told that the lady who does the rooms didn’t even look at the notes When I ask to speak to her she blamed someone else When using the pool and hot tub no towels were available and once again we asked and was told none were available We had another group that stay and had their service dog with them and was charged a pet fee of $75, even when they showed papers for the dog This place should be ashamed of their self for charging a retired vet for his service dog

Booked for 3 nights Big mistake!First of all, I have nothing bad to say about the staff Super friendly

Brought our bathing suits for our 3 night stay and the pool was not openAsked for more towels and were told “I’ll see what I can do” Never got anyOur alarm in our room went off at 6 in the morning Not cool!Wifi was out one total day and eveningMold in the refrigerator and couldn’t get it to stay coldThe coffee was atrocious The least a hotel chain could do is make sure the guests get a good cup of coffeeStayed at this establishment a few times before but never again

Our stay was superb at this hotel Checked in on Wednesday and left on a Friday Staff was very friendly

Room was 304 with 2 queen beds It was clean and smelled decent Beds were comfortable, lots of pillows The bathtub/shower was huge and the shower head worked well Breakfast was decent for free: scrambled eggs, sausage patties, boiled eggs, individual crustless quiches, plain and chocolate milk, yogurt, scones, bread, pre-made waffles, oatmeal with 6 different toppings, cereal, 3 different kinds of juice, decaf & regular coffee and hot water with a few different types of tea to choose from Some things weren’t there, but there seemed to be a shortage of staff I just asked for what I didn’t see, and it was provided One thing I did notice about our room was that while the a/c blew really cold, I think it goes up the curtains more than into the room so we were hot at night Not sure how to fix that Overall, it was great and I’d stay here again

Jamie Miles

I’ll begin with the positives:The afternoon/evening female staff! They did their best in an almost impossible situation They were always pleasant and helpful-When we arrived, one bed had dried, crusted boogers and snot all down the side

-Hair in the bathroom sink-outlets were so lose, plugs were difficult to get to stay in-windows were cloudy-breakfasts were sad- chunky expired white and chocolate milk, fresh fruit consisted of 3 bananas one morning and nothing the second morning, and watery eggs The prepackaged quiches were the best they had-No ice in the ice machines-ancient loud air conditioner that continually switched on and off ALL NIGHT LONG

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have enjoyed it The rooms are very clean and spacious The bed is very comfortable

I love it being on the river and downtown so we could go for a walk and enjoy the river scenery as well as browse the shops The pool and hot tub was nice, the hot tub is a little on the small side for the size of the hotel, but the pool was warm enough to sit on the edge and put your feet in and enjoy a drink Overall I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again in the future

Michelle Thomas

Really enjoyed my stay there It was comfortable, clean and welcoming The food was good, the bed was really comfy and the pillows were awesome

I forgot my own and didn’t even think about it after the first night Our room had a river view and after a full day of learning, it was relaxing to watch the activities along the riverside It was also really quiet

We stayed here for one night as a family getaway We paid extra for a river-view room and it was totally worth it! Our kids were enthralled watching a large barge go through the drawbridge from our room The room was very clean

The indoor pool area was super fun, pool was large and water was warm The hot tub also felt amazing We didn’t use the gym facilities but it sure looked nice The hotel is right next to a large park with a playground for kids I also really enjoyed being able to have our digital key on my phone on the Hilton Honors app We did not go to the in-hotel restaurant so can’t comment on that Definitely would return and recommend to others
