Cheaper than other rooms I found of the same quality Convenient location, close to the highway Gas station across the parking lot

I like that the sink is not in the bathroom I was traveling alone, but I can see that being nice for families Also like it, because it is not all hot and humid from the shower when you are drying your hair Had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers in the shower, a laundromat, mini fridge, hair dryer, microwave, coffee, and the makeup remover wipes they had worked great Good space to store luggage Snacks for sale in lobby They had breakfast, but I didn’t eat Lots of amenities for price Would stay again for sure

The staff made the biggest difference! Our car stalled nearby and we had to stay the night – the front desk staff went over and beyond in making sure we arrived at the hotel from the mechanics safely and always asked us if there was anything else they could help us with I truly want to thank Patty for her generosity and Julianne for her kindness If it weren’t for them, I would have broken down too! The hotel itself was clean, comfy beds, modern bathrooms, decent breakfast and great fitness room and pool

Jordan Douglas

Wonderful experiences, was traveling and became to tired to finish the last leg of my journey home, pulled over to sleep here but had no overnight bag, the rooms do not have USB ports to charge your phones and when I called the front desk to ask the lady said they had non to offer, but then said she thinks she might have one in her car, she said I’ll call you right back 5 min later she didn’t call, she knocked on our door to deliver her plug in herself, that’s 100% above and beyond exceptional customer service, would stay her again next time I’m in Pittsburgh!

Their breakfast buffet was reasonable considering covid restrictions They had make your own waffles, oatmeal, breads/muffins/bagels, juices yogurts and coffee We were very pleased as a family Enjoy your stay

I used a third-party for purchasing my hotel stay I was visiting my friend for the week and weekend, and the hotel did NOT deliver excellent service I was told the standard king room I requested online had a maintenance problem

The staff would not elaborate about why they couldn’t give me the room, until I had heard it from a manager later during my stay Then while I was there, I stepped in something small on the hotel room floor that looked like chocolate or poop I don’t know I took it to the front desk in a tissue No one did anything when I complained I also had to be in charge of throwing out my own hotel room garbage in front of the door Also all the other hotel rooms had their rooms cleaned while they stayed, but mine was NOT cleaned until we left Their excuse was that their housekeeping was short staffed I’m disappointed in the hotel and the travel website I used to book the room The breakfast was acceptable, but everything else wasn’t Best to go to a hotel that actually LISTENS and cares about excellent customer service Not a good hotel to pass through in Pittsburgh

Paul Martin

Extremely friendly staff Very clean room including the small details other hotels overlook or just do a poor job of cleaningI was an extremely late arrival

After a long day of travel, the front desk employee made check in easy and accommodated my stupid request after I had checked inThe only negative I can think of is a minor complaint at best One driveway is closed It’s not well marked and there is no clear direction on how to access the parking lot but it wasn’t that hard to figure out even though it was a very dark night and well after midnight It may have added two minutes into my arrival time See, minor issueI was here for business When I have to come back to our facility nearby, I will stay here again

Rosemarie Smith

I called several weeks in advance to confirm that I needed a handicapped walk in shower The desk person I spoke to said she made a note on our reservation When we arrived we were told no handicapped room was available

For 5 days we did not have the accommodation that we requested and paid for The manager was rude and uncaring of the situation She simply said we don’t look at the notes and that was that!!!Breakfast was good and the other staff was nice

This was BY FAR THE BEST HOTEL WE HAVE STAYED IN, in the Pittsburgh area! Our room was a 2 bed Queen Suite Room was phenomenal, property was clean, safe, and welcoming Jessica at front desk for check in was amazing! They let us check in early with no hesitation and also gave us a late check out with no questions! We came from Florida for Family Court and the stay exceeded our expectations for a calming experience before court

Breakfast was amazing, lots of options! Pool was nice and clean and I just can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had

Vicki R

I typically avoid Choice Hotels like the plague They’re all franchised with no set standards for customer service or quality This one, however, is one of the best hotels I’ve used even compared to Hilton, Marriott, or Holiday Inn

The rooms are clean, there are ample amenities, and the pool is warm and welcoming The bed is firm but cozy It has a down alternative comforter that I wanted to take home with me The side tables are large enough to hold a drink, a phone, and a lamp at the same time with room to spare Although the TV had the typical channels on it with nothing I cared to watch, I was able to plug my Roku in and stream all my shows as usualBreakfast was ample There was the typical fare you find in most hotels: eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles for the warm side Cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit (actually fresh, never bruised or old) I could go on, but I’m just going to say there was something for almost everyoneStaying in this hotel was really the only bright point on this trip in Pennsylvania

Dave Smilie

We stayed here our first night in town and liked it enough to book one more night before leaving townBoth times, the person at check-in was friendly, efficient, and went out of her way to accommodate usThe grounds and facility were both impeccably clean

Our room, a suite, was spacious and well appointedWhile the location is close to downtown, getting here (or anywhere in Pittsburgh) is an ordeal of one way streets, fast cars, and chaos That’s the only knock on a great place to stay

Excellent staff Restaurant was, well, a hotel restaurant Located in corporate setting

Clean rooms and pretty big Very modern decor, which I know most hotels are now but, we like the more homey feel Comfy and inviting lobby area 25 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh Location is based on MY personal opinion, not the actual functionality I visited with kids and it was a last minute trip

Dana Vossen

I literally cannot say enough about how wonderful this hotel is From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff the whole experience was outstanding The rooms were clean and comfortable

The omelet we had a breakfast was so good and the food we had later at a function was delicious The staff were so friendly and helpful I doubt I’d stay anyplace else ever again when I am in this area Thank you Hilton!!

Janeice Stanley (Janeice)

The service was great 😊 The staff was super friendly, they remembered our names and preferences The staff at the restaurant went above and beyond, it was buffet style breakfast that wasn’t awesome, however they made it worth it Great conversation and service

My biggest complaint is that the hot tub was out of commission and that was one of my deciding factors for choosing this location I will return here though, really enjoyed the stay

Very clean hotel, very friendly staff The room was immaculate and well maintained The breakfast was exactly what I expected

Hot, and lots of it Plenty of tea options for the tea drinkers, and the coffee was good too The pool room is currently closed due to maintenance issues, which was communicated on the website when I booked the room All in all, a lovely hotel at a great location

Deborah Braughler

A very nice place to stay Not very far from the city and other attractions, but in a quiet location with some lovely food and shops to walk toThe room was very clean

We had a wobbly toilet and the bed was a bit hard But it was such a nice set up we were able to look beyond that The noise factor was minimal too

Ric Rivera

Nice location but hotel needs a lot of maintenance We were very disappointed when pool was closed for repairs and wasn’t notified, leaks coming from the ceiling throughout the public corridor and didn’t see anyone all week trying to address issue The pantry cabinets are in bad shape and had to call to replace towels due to stains

Outdoor grill needs a good cleaning I wanted you like it but was very disappointed

Most HI Express I have stayed at was very nice and this hotel is no exception

However my trip before this one I cut my finger on the top of the microwave It seems it has had a tabletop screwed to it at one point ,and there was a sharp point at the top It was minor to me so I had not bothered to mention it On this trip ,to same H I the heat did not work very well and room was a little cold first night The toilet leaked from the bottom and the tray that holds the complementary soap and shampoo had two chips out of it Curtains wouldn’t close properly, and the suite was a little in disrepair Shower walls had been cracked and halfway repaired The microwave tray was missing but worked okay Breakfast and cleanliness was excellent as always All the staff were very friendly and pleasant to meet

Velina Robinson Glass

At this price point the rooms are exceptional I used priceline and got a weekday room rate of $89 The inn is pretty close to everywhere I wanted to be but if you want to go into town it’s a little out of the way

My son purchased a soda and sour patch kids and on each of the 3 times he purchased them the price was different $4, $5 & $6

Samhitha Kallem

Very disappointing staying here … I have stayed at Holiday Inn at different places … but this is worst The curtains were shredded The airconditioner didn’t keep the room cool atall

The tub drained and filled extremelyslowly DisappointingThey better improve the service their for their hotel to run good

Overall good stay at this hotel The room was clean and had everything we needed The blackout curtains did not do a great job of blocking out light, so bring an eye mask! The staff was friendly and helpful

There is a free breakfast included with your stay which was decent for a free breakfast (eggs, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, etc)

Autumn Barnes

Great stay! Everything was clean and comfy and the staff was inviting The rooms were spacious and the separate cooking/living area was sublime There was a good amount of plugs, which is always a plus and the tv was quite big

The only things I would change is that the blankets were a little thin and the bathroom a tad on the small side, but these are just minor minor parts of the overall awesome experience I would absolutely stay here again

Meghann Jost

Decent stay I only stayed for one night and we were glad to have a place to lay our heads down The rooms were exceptionally clean and roomy

The beds were a little too firm for my taste but that’s a personal preference The staff is friendly and the breakfast was your average continental food Coffee was burnt though unfortunately

Jun Wang

Overall it is fine Great location The staff are friendly and helpful

The breakfast was really nice However, the facility is kind of old and some updating/proper maintenance may be needed My room has clean beds, but there were dusts and dead bugs at edges of windows The faucet for shower was kind of stuck and not very easy to pull The fridge was pretty noisy The phone connection was almost falling off, probably does not mater, since only a few people would use it In addition, the wifi was very very slow

Sarah Shabloski

Location is great, but be prepared to carry your luggage up the steps When you open your room you’ll enjoy the stale cigarette smoke accompanied by a lumpy bed Your bathroom will be comparable to something from the 90’s, not very clean or updated

The shuttle service is nice but be prepared for them not to answer their phone to get in contact with the shuttle service and overall paying a taxi to take you back to your car

Brittany McGuire

The reviews are fake! This hotel is nothing like what is pictured online It’s disgusting The first room smelled so bad of stale cigarette smoke

The man at the front desk wasn’t apologetic and seemed irritated at the inconvenience when asked to switch rooms The second room smells slightly of stale cigarettes, the fridge is gross, toilet has urine all over the back of the seat, comforters we’re dirty, and beds and pillows uncomfortable When explaining to Anna at the front desk the next morning, she never apologized for the state of the rooms; she blamed the lack of staffBe warned of the water temperature: if another room flushes the toilet while you’re showering, the water will burn you!We are sadly stuck with this hotel for 2 more nights because we missed the cancellation windowEdit: the front desk did end up canceling our reservation for the next 2 nights This only occurred after calling Choice Hotels with the complaint The front desk never apologized for anything we complained about

A huge shout out to this Holiday Inn Express location We came to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play the Cubs and this location was perfect As well, the room was spotless and the beds so comfortable

The breakfast was wonderful as well Most importantly, every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful Given the fact that they struggle like everyone else with staffing shortages, the friendliness we experienced did not go unnoticed Highly recommend

Larry Howard

It’s disappointing to pay $200 a night for such a low quality experienceThe desk staff was not welcoming at check in and acted like we were bothering themWe had used expedia to book and the staff claimed they could not look up reservation details easily

Booked a king room and was given a room with 2 queensOverall, the staff had a rude demeanor and unpleasant attitude about their jobThe mattresses are terrible I’ve slept on more comfortable beds at motelsThe smoke detector flashes every 2 seconds in the roomall night longAlso, no trash can in the bathroomVery disappointing experience to say the least We won’t be Holiday Inn Express customers again unless there are no other options

Lorna Killam

Holiday Inn Express is a go to for us when traveling Price, service, rooms and amenities are consistently great But, I have to give a particular shout out to the staff at the Pittsburgh North Shore location, especially the food service staff who get the breakfast prepared

They were friendly, helpful and engaged with everyone with a warm hello and a smile

I think the most appealing feature of this hotel, as if it isn’t good enough to have a pool and clean room, is the shuttle service they offer for guests Both nights we stayed they drove us from the hotel to a bar within 3 miles to Carson Street And Kim, the driver is absolutely amazing

So awesome If only they offered it every day of the week

Raj Kal

Hotel is right next to the train tracks and trains are plying all night and blast the horn when around the hotel I am not a light sleeper and yet could hear 5 trains pass by Beds are uncomfortable as they sag in the center

Sofa had gummies on them so it wasn’t cleaned They charge $22 for parking which is not advertised anywhereBreakfast was good

Cody Layman

The room we had was decent Our party of 3 fit nicely but there were no sheets or pillows for the pull out couch so we had to walk down to the front desk to retrieve them The yellow stains on the bed were hard to ignore but my wife slept on that side of the bed anyway

Upon exiting the 4th floor elivator where our room was located we were greeted by the rancid smell of a puke/sewage like substance that lingered the halls for our entire stay The indoor pool was located in the lower level and was as cold as an Alaskan ice rink but my 9 year old didn’t seem to mind The room was clean and quiet except for being located right beside a graffiti covered train track that seemed to have a train rolling down the line about once every 2 hours so it made sleeping a little difficult As for the continental breakfast it was your typical runt of the mill hard eggs and runny oatmeal that 90% of hotels offer Overall it wasn’t a bad experience but I think there are better options in the general area Also parking on site is $22 per day

Rude Front Desk Supervisor (Ellen)The hotel charge me an extra $300 for 1 night because they claimed I checked in a day before I really didWhen I called the hotel about this I was called a liar by the front desk supervisor (Ellen) and she told me “I was on camera signing papers and checking in on Friday” I checked in on Saturday and checked out on SundayEllen was very rude and was chuckling when telling me I was lying and I stayed for 2 nights not 1 like I actually did

When I asked for her employee number she then hung up on meI called the hotel back 5 times and was sent to voice-mail every timeI have never been disrespected and treated so poorly by a “professional” establishment, this experience made me feel like the gum stuck on the bottom of someone’s shoe This experience still feels really bad and Ellen hurt my feelingsI didn’t deserved to be treated like that and no one deserves to be treated like thatMy Girlfriend and the organization I was at this hotel with are just as upset about my experian as I am

It was just OK We had a smaller room next to the elevator, but thankfully it was quiet Main issues were the bed, which had a very soft (and I assume old) mattress, and a thermostat which didn’t allow us to run the fan constantly or adjust the temperature to our preference

Breakfast was typical Hampton, but only light roast coffee available – yikes! Front desk folks were very nice, and we appreciated the ability to check in and out using the Hilton app

Rebecca D’Angelo-Virginia Capital Realty

I loved my stay here! The room was fabulously retro, the bed comfortable, the amenities, and breakfast fabulous! Christine (or maybe it was Chastitybrainglitch), the night clerk, was friendly, kind, detail oriented, and efficient

I loved her energyHowever, I did get pretty lost, as it can be hard to find I think they need a better sign, rather than a yard sign, to point to Trumbull Also, I think they need to lower their prices It is more than I can typically afford, nor should have to

benjamin plazek

Typical Hampton inn, although a little dated Building is in a nice private location close to the city Staff were friendly

Room was clean and everything worked Comfortable bed Came here to get away from a heat wave; the room itself was nice and cool but it seemed the building itself had no AC The lobby and hallway were about 95 degrees All in all, I would definitely stay here again for the price

Property in a nice location, close to alot of things including shopping and food Staff extremely nice and welcoming The hotel was cleanest hotel been in for awhile as well

Pool was nice but cold Definitely needs a little warmer Had a nice fitness room as well Could use snack machines but also understand why they have there snack room to make money but it’s a little pricey for sure The restaurant/bar closed very very early It was closed when checked in at 3pm on a Saturday looks nice but wish could have tried it out Over all very nice facility for the price

Clean and very nice hotel Rooms appeared to be recently renovated Bathrooms were spa-like

Staff was very polite and helpful Rates were reasonable Wish I was staying for more than one night, to take advantage of the amenities The breakfast buffet looked very good Lots of fresh fruits, cereal, pastries, and a menu of cooked- to- order breakfast fare

I held a 3 day conference at the hotel The staff could not be more helpful, they were always available when I needed them The breakfast, lunch, and snacks were delicious (many of the offerings were home made in their kitchen)

They offered vegetarian as well The conference rooms was set up the way we requested They even went above and beyond by finding a bar tender so our participants did not have to go out in the snow We had 50 people travel from around the country, They were picked up at the airport, had a room and meals (we had to bring dinner in), and great service and were shuttled back to the airport I would highly recommend this location for the individual as well as business traveler
