Stay started out great if you like the smell of pot when you walk down the hallways The room was old and dated, TV remotes (2) did not work and shower head was at eye level and I’m 5’10”, the bed like a rock Dim lights throughout so you can’t see how dirty the overall room is

Expensive room at $165, and no bereavement rate granted Seriously?Went down for breakfast at 9 AM (ends at 9:30) and the coffee machine was broken with a sign on it, there were no more muffins, hardly any eggs, two bananas left and waffles were not an option as they were cleaning the waffle machine up for the day There’s a Walmart next door Go buy a coffee maker! Then when we went back to our room, the key would not work as they program it to not give you entry after 9 AM the day of your departure (10 AM is checkout time)We requested 1 PM late checkout time due to our attending a funeral and it was verbally granted At noon housekeeping started pounding on the door (two separate occasions) trying to enter the room and then the manager called our room and demanded we leave within 15 minutes as that was their policy and no exceptions were ever made beyond noon The manager Russ Patel was rude and nasty – telling us we’re “banned” from the Comfort Inn!!! Russ should not be running any place that deals with the public We are seniors, not teenagers Russ has zero respect for anyoneNext time we’ll say at the Holiday Inn Express Suites in Rock Falls or a lovely local B & B This is not the kind of business I want to support in my beautiful hometown!

My family booked a suite that slept 6 and were very disappointed in both the room and most of the staff The first night felt like the Artic and we were told no extra blankets and were given Two sheets The second shift clerks were a bit rude and unhelpful

The second night we could not get the air conditioner to work and were told to just unplug it to reset it This suite has central air so of course no plug The only bright spot was a 3rd shift clerk who out did his self getting us a cup of milk for a toddler at midnight Would not recommend

The owner of the Hotel is incredibly rude to guests I witnessed him verbally chastising a group of middle aged ladies for drinking coffee in the lobby and accusing them of drinking alcohol at 8 am

When they calmly tried to explain, he would not listen The group was apparently in town for a wedding and the owner of the Hotel called the bride ON HER WEDDING DAY to complain about these guests I’ve never seen anything like it Would not recommend

Hey there,I have a situation that wasn’t taken care of properly or professionally by one of your franchise super 8 motels It was the super 8 in Dixon IL 2 friends and I traveled from different states for a 4 night stay

I was using one of the 2 beds in room 120 for a nap after showing up early Saturday morning on March 5th After resting a few hours I woke up with huge swelling on my face and arms and clear bites All 3 of us looked in the mattress and found evidence of bed bugs after getting hydrocortisone cream and benadryl we came back and clearly saw a bedbug right on the sheets!!! We caught it and sealed it in a little bag and took it to the manager They then took close to 2 hours to even respond to us or give us another room We presented them the bugs and showed my visible bites but the manager insisted they didn’t come from the hotel, she blamed us !! I am highly allergic to bed bug bites I will attach photos of my face swelling Seeing on Google reviews a guest posted 1 month ago they had an experience with bed bugs and had bites The manager responded to the comment on the Google review But when I asked her if they had ever had any other guests complain about bugs she directly told me no 2 times Bed bugs can infest an entire building if there’s even 1 room with bugs She refused a refund, didn’t offer any new luggage, dryer use to clean our clothes, reimbursement for the medication, or even an apology We were all blamed for the event Later that evening everyone was frustrated with the outrageous management Knowing a place has bedbugs and not taking care of it is a health and safety concern and the health department needs to be notified if the owners can’t take it seriously I left a review so the public can know about the issue Its not right at all to let anybody bring those bugs home Then the manager called and speke to kyanas husband in their room and threatened to not even give a discount if we didnt take the review down This is disgusting The room was booked under the name kyana Adkins, for March 3rd 4th 5th and check out Sunday the 6th

The room itself wasn’t bad, but not what I would call quality You get what you pay for, it was under $80 for a one bed room The comforter on the bed has a penny- sized hole in it, looks like from a cigarette

Window has now screen No cover over the fan in the bathroom Pool is closed – advertised amenities include pool, that’s a deal breaker Service is fine, personnel are friendly, it’s located near a Walmart and Walgreens, which is convenient Recommend calling first if you’re looking to stay some place with a pool

Being located right next to the Brandywine for a wedding venue is amazing as all you have to do is walk to the hotel once the wedding is doneHowever, the hotel needs lots of updating! The toilets and showers are gross and have lots of staining and look like they haven’t been cleaned, everMy husband took a glance at the AC filters (as it seemed like it was struggling to work and not keeping the room cool at all) and ended up cleaning it himself as it was absolutely disgusting (photo) – it seemed to work a bit better after that but still didn’t keep the room very cold

I was able to get the staff to switch out the sheets on our couch fold out mattress as it had gum or something stuck to themThe place just seems run down Thankfully it wasn’t very expensive since we reserved the room online vs over the phone (like a $30 difference)

There was a lot to like about this hotel, including the views from the riverside rooms or on the patio and grounds Please note the paddle wheel boat is not connected with the hotel and does not go out as much as you’d think Same for the restaurants nearby, they are operated separately

Now back to the hotel, nice people, but note there’s NO ONE at the front desk after 9 pm, so no spontaneous late check in We paid extra for a river view room In hindsight, we just had no time to spend out there, but it was pretty Also, as you can see in the pictures, if your neighbors are on there balcony, there’s no barrier above the waist and you’re looking right at them The deck is all wooden and just have regular plastic deck chairs The beds were SUPER soft, great for some people, others not so much I prefer a firm mattress, but slept ok on these Bathroom was fine, no complaints In conclusion, if you’re not wanting to be in a larger town, this hotel was clean, comfortable, and priced fairly We’ll stay here again when we’re in the area

Pros; good standards and settings Well maintained facilities, only a few things need improvement though Built in wooden structure, the building has a solid and reliable construction and good insulation

The balconies of east side have an amazing views to the river and to beautiful LandmarkIf you like photography, for example, you may find both: flora and fauna to catch Many wonderful birds (hawks, pelican, bald eagles) live there The Inn it is surrounded by many places to stop by and enjoy Also, you will find a great coffee twenty fours hours a day A deck, which seems to be part of another building, is itself located in the rear part of the building However, guests can enjoy some great moments on tranquility looking the waters of the river and the amazing scenic viewsCon: well, a not common thing, the front desk closes at third shift You have to arrive before 8 pm, or make arrangements if getting late But not a big deal Other than that, who needs an attendant overnight?

Couldn’t find a room in Rockford because of a huge high school lacrosse tournament Glad I couldn’t Beautiful drive along the Rock River to the Paddle Wheel

The Inn is literally right next to the river and it is a gorgeous view The Laredo Taft statue of the Blackhawk Chief is not quite visible, but you can see it in all its glory if you drive into downtown OregonIs this hotel fancy? No Does it need a decor update? Probably But the staff was great The rooms were clean, the water pressure was dynamite and the wifi was reliable And the price was right! So glad I stayed here instead of a corporate chain off the highway in Rockford
