My wife and I had an excellent stay at this BnB One of the best we’ve stayed at in years Hospitality was excellent, home is walking distance to downtown, and the home has a historic vibe that we really enjoyed

Even though the home was historic, it was completed with contemporary features like nice air conditioning units, nice tv’s, hot tub, etc we found the beds to be comfy and the breakfast muffins and cookies delicious We enjoyed taking the bikes they offered downtown and did some window shopping Glenwood Springs is a really neat town Took the gondola up to the top of Iron Mountain and explored two caves Would recommend this place and we plan to be back

Lorraina Perez

We booked this place excited about our stay A storm came in calling for 70mph winds and 2 feet of snow with icy conditions We tried calling to reschedule our trip for another day but the owner refused to allow us a rebook

He was rude and did not care what the road conditions were I guess money means more than a person’s life Do not book here if you want a rude treatment

Jared Michini-Kerr

It’s hard to pick out one thing that stood out from our stay considering that everything about this charming little bed and breakfast was fantastic! Derrick is an absolute gem of a host who wants nothing but the best for his guests His warm and welcoming personality shows in the accomodations and service Located within easy walking distance of downtown, we rarely had to get into our car for what we wanted to do

The back patio is a perfect way to relax after a long day checking out what Glenwood springs has to offer – whether you hit up the hot tub or sit down around the fire pit while watching TV, it was a great way for us to decompress before bed! The room and bathroom itself is cozy, with a spacious comfortable bed and large bathroom The continental breakfast has a nice variety of coffee, tea, orange juice, cereal, muffins, granola bars, fruit, and oatmeal And to cap it all off, there was great care to the attention to detail of the period piece decor throughout the BnB – even while you enjoy modern day amenities, you’re constantly reminded that you’re staying in a building over 100 years old where your mind can only imagine just how many people have walked these hallsThank you, Derrick, for such a comfortable and relaxing stay! We’ll be sure to stay here again on our next visit

Truly unique and the best place to stay in Carbondale! We’ve visited at least once a year since 2017 All of the rooms are very comfy and well appointed but for us the Moonlight Suite is the best way to go And you just can’t beat the fact that the inn is attached to a working distillery and tasting room

In the tasting room you’ll find great cocktails and spirits along with some tasty eats As if all that wasn’t enough, we love their commitment to sustainability, which they’re always seeking to improve upon There’s no better place to get your drink on and your sleep on!

Gicrown .Rodriguez

Our first perfect night after 10 days travelling The room is cozy and what to say about the bed

cannot be better Choosing the correct pillow between various sizes was essential for a perfect restThe shower is a dreamModern, sustainable and comfortableA very important detail for my wake up, the nespresso coffee machine in my room, this is something I miss in the US hotels

Mitch Bollig

Though we didn’t stay at the Inn, we had a chance to experience the distillery/bar for several hours OMG

if you like excellent distilled spirits, support sustainable businesses (they literally don’t waste anything), enjoy down to earth people, then this is a must-stop when in the area Get yourself a flight taster to help determine which (not if) bottles you’ll want to purchase before you go!

Nice hotel with friendly staff Not quite walkable to downtown so you’d need a bike or car Had a small issue with water being turned off which was an annoyance

Rooms were clean and comfortable enough Bathroom was average but everything was there as expected and cleanStill not a fan either that there’s no daily housekeeping The sign says you can request it but when I tried twice they told me they were unable

Aubree Schiesser

We had a family emergency causing us to drive an hour to the emergency room in Glenwood Since we will be here all night I got us a room nearby With it being 4hrs past my usual bedtime I messed up my booking on priceline

Q, The person behind the desk was so kind and helpful He took my very hard night and made it so much smoother, made us feel welcome and met our every need Thanks again Q!

Nic Orellana Mayer

The lady at the front desk was nice and friendly The room was nice and clean In my opinion, the TV is not a good spot to watch if you’re in bed

The bathroom was clean but the floor had mud close to the shower47/5

Bonnie Kurtz

We love staying at Glenwood Suites and it has been our “go to” for years We were a bit disappointed with the upkeep, cleanliness, and breakfast this time around The lobby has been renovated with new flooring and looks great

Unfortunately, the bathroom ceiling in our family suite had been patched around the fire sprinkler on the ceiling and had not been painted and the shower curtain had mildew spots The breakfast has been so much better in the past We really loved when the other room was open with additional hot breakfast options and more tables where we could eat I loved that we never had to compete with other families for a table There were limited options and limited seating for breakfast That all being said, the staff was very kind and we enjoyed all other parts of our stay We are hopeful that our next stay will be better

Angel Gonzales

I loved these Suits I really wished I stayed longer even just to relax another day and just stay in,I would’ve liked being in the hotel more than exploring Glenwood Springs

I would’ve like a later check out time also however my favorite part was that we had two queen size beds along with a set of bunk beds, which I loved how they had their own tv to watch their cartoon super awesome I loved there was a microwave and a decent size fridge I loved how there is a comforter and not just sheets,we brought our own blankets in case their selection for breakfast was great also, would’ve been a major plus for potatoes and bacon but we dealt with the selection they had which was great The price wasn’t too bad for all we got I loved that they actually had a blow dryer (unlike some other hotels we stay at) they even had make-up removal pads,q-tips,and cotton balls, that was amazing I just over all loved this place and was so happy with everything The staff was amazing I have 0 complaints

Joshua Jesse

Ok let’s get down to the nitty and gritty here, the room overall wasn’t that bad My main complaints to the room was that the bed was too hard for me so I have some difficulty sleeping since my back is a little messed up Anytime you moved on the bed it would sound like something was cracking under it

The TV in the room kept saying it was updating and would stop all action for about 5 minutes and after watching the TV from 15-20 minutes it would do it again which made the TV pretty useless The staff was friendly and provided pretty good service There is NO POOL in this hotel which is kind of a bummer since the surrounding hotsprings are minimum $30 per person Overall this is a decent place to stay

What a beautiful gem, nestled in the peaks of the Rockies!! This old town has lots of history, much of which took place within the walls of the Hotel Colorado At one point, known as “the western White House”, Teddy Roosevelt spent quite a bit of his time here With pictures and stories or sculptures to cute your will learn lots about one of Americas greatest presidents

It also happens to be the birth place of what we now know as “the teddy bear” and many other neat bits of historyThe property is beautiful with gorgeous flowers hanging from every awning; it’s quite the spectacle In the summer months the restaurant is hosted on the patio during the evenings and inside for breakfastsThe layout is spacious and reminiscent of an older time when cramming as many rooms as you can into a building wasn’t a thing The only downside I can speak of is there is no refrigerator in your room, so you can’t bring perishables or keep a cold drinkIf you’re a history buff or just want to experience a regal old building, this is the place to go!The service was top notch our wait staff was phenomenal We will be back for sure!

Chris Meier

I first came here in 2006 and loved it Had time to check it out again after hearing that it was recently renovated and it was still amazing! Great staff, lots of cool history to walk around and look at They were careful to preserve all the history while making upgrades in the renovation

Even if you don’t plan to stay here, at least walk around the grounds and check it out You can freely walk up and down the stairs and check out all the exhibits on each floor

Tresa Baca

The staff at the hotel is phenomenal, they were friendly and helpful and even answered all of our silly ghost hunting questions The accommodations were pleasant and a bit dated , but I do realize the hotel was built in the late 1800’s and is working on renovations We had a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom

The cable was out, not much they could do and we really weren’t there to watch TV anyway, but they did give us free breakfast vouchers and it was delicious, I recommend the banana crepes!Thank you Hotel Colorado we had a amazing sister trip!We had a great time we will be back, to stay in one of the suites next maybe we will get some paranormal activity next time!

I want to start by saying that I agree 100% that Sally the GM is professional and courteous However, I am baffled by the possibility that anyone anywhere would have a positive thing to say about this hotel I travel quite a bit and never have I stayed anywhere that I thought was an actual health hazard

This hotel should be gutted, condemned or burned to the ground and rebuilt Suffice it to say there was clear biohazard and many many stains of questionable origin on everything – mattresses, lampshades, floors, curtains A pile of trash was stuffed into the pull out couch Our room looked and smelled like a crime scene that had yet to be cleaned up The hotel handled my concerns with respect and did right by us as paying guests but this hotel has no business renting rooms to anyone I packed up everything we wore while in the room into a sealed bag that I took home to wash in bleach and sanitize – that is how sure I am there were airborne and other pathogens Do not stay here The owners need to completely renovate this hotel from top to bottom before it will be a safe place for anyone to stay

Jimmy Schroering

Showed up for reservation on Saturday (through Monday) Despite my having a confirmation email (and the app currently showing my correct reservation) that my reservation wasn’t until the following day and they had no rooms Didn’t seem like they were going to help at all until I pointed out that I was a Diamond member

Front desk called someone who instructed them to call a local hotel and get me a room, which they did The room, despite being at a generally nicer hotel was an single queen interior room (ie no windows to the outside) with a tiny bathroom (the sink had to be in the bedroom), and just was generally not even close to the room I booked (king w/ study)Showed up the next evening and the same front desk clerk was there At first he didn’t remember us, but then he did and asked how our other room was When I told him honestly how I felt about it (like above), he basically said that’s too bad and continued to check us in Didn’t get offered waters or snacks He may have said the word “sorry” at some point during all this, but I honestly don’t remember because if he did, it wasn’t sincere at allWoke up the next morning to the receipt in my email Somehow they managed to charge me the higher rate for that night (what should have been my Saturday night rate for my reservation that “didn’t exist”) instead of the lower Sunday night rate The front desk clerk (Tom this time) was helpful and managed to get that corrected, but it was like an extra slap in the face on what had honestly been one of my worst experiences in dealing with a Hilton properties the last 10 years

Matt

For a Hampton Inn, the beds are unacceptable The front desk person told me they had ordered new beds prior to Covid and they have never shown up This is a reasonable excuse, however when you are dropping between $240 and $315 per night depending on the day, you want a bed that has some sort of softness

The mattress was so worn out that I had to move to the couch in the room which was actually pretty comfy, but too small to stretch out on I ended up snagging a last-minute available room next door at the Holiday Inn Express for the rest of the week and that bed was like a cloud! This is not typical of a Hampton Inn but again for the price they are charging, it’s completely unacceptable Try for the HIE next door if you want to sleep better WAY better

Great hotel Staff was way friendly every time I interacted with them The breakfast was decent for a free continental breakfast, lots of choices

Brittany Fairchild

We have been staying at this hotel for 8 years, we come yearly for our family trip However this will be our last year staying at this hotel This year we were treated very poorly and we could tell instantly something had changed

We had a stream of issues but two stood out the most First, we had to purchase our own blankets for the bedding for the couch because the hotel had none to give us The couch bed had zero sheets or blankets and when we called to get some we were told there were no blankets We asked nicely what we were supposed to do and the lady at the front desk who was very rude was like we have no blankets to give out because house keeping left us nothing We can give you more sheets but you need to come down to get them So we went to the target and purchased a blanket Also, we had zero toilet paper and called twice to get some and it never came so we purchased that as well That was just few of our multiple problems

Chandler

I’ve been here for almost two months (travel RN) and I can’t even begin to explain how much I appreciate the front desk and housekeeping employees (and everyone behind the scenes)! Friendly faces, prompt help and great thorough room cleans (*don’t forget to ask for a room cleaning 24 hours in advance) have been *I advise you to bring a small amount of cleaning supplies in case you forget to schedule a room clean*To those who are complaining about being surprised about the overnight parking rate— there are signs all over the hotel and parking lot that states this*If you don’t want to pay, there are very simple solutions – like parking across the street by the strip mall*

This surprisingly a nice little place Next to to the highway, so noise can be an issue if that bothers you Staff is nice and we’re helpful when checking is in

Had two rooms and they got us as close together as they could Ice machine works which is always a bonus to me Only about 5 minutes from the Hot Springs pool and 4 minutes to the Adventure Park There’s dining places along the road, but downtown is only 5 minutes away, so you’re close to some nice eateriesIt’s no Hilton, but for the price it’s very nice A good place to stay if just getting away for a coupledays with the family

Cynthia London

During our 7 day motorcycle trip throughout the state of Colorado this was the best Motel! The room was very clean and updated, the shower had super sonic water pressure 😃 the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows, our room had a kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker and a sink) The property was meticulously maintained and not scary (like some of the places we stayed) there were 2 chairs and a side table right outside of each room – great for relaxing outdoors Laundry is $1

50 for wash and $150 for dry The office staff kindly provided me with change and a Pod and dryer sheet for a dollar! This motel is truly family owned and operated with pride I was greeted by 3 sons and the dad and each encounter was respectful, courteous and with personality You can tell that these boys have been raised rightIf you’re ever in the Glenwood Springs/Carbondale/Hanging Lake area book a room at this little gem!

Nick Carita

LOVE IT HERE! It’s a VERY affordable price, the rooms are well maintained and designed, and the front office is VERY responsive The owner is SO approachable and friendly We talked for about 20 minutes as I was checking in

Any time I come out here to work with my clients, I will be sure to stay here!

We stayed here three days and had full and different breakfasts everyday I especially liked the veggie ham omelette and Italian style fried potatoes, perfectly seasoned The location enabled us to walk everywhere we needed to; the river walks were beautiful

Our favorite restaurant, Riveria Scratch Kitchen was 4 blocks away We love spending time to explore the residential neighborhoods many having fabulous flower gardens and some with raised-bed vegetable gardens Glenwood Springs has a lot to offer for all ages and I am glad the Floradora was there for us

David Weber

There are a number of reasons why this is the best place to stay when visiting Glenwood Springs As realtors know; location, location location You can forget your car and walk the town, one block to the business district and a couple of blocks to the river trail network

Also, the breakfast is quite good, the old house is charming and quiet, while the hospitality will enchant you

Zach Bond

I cannot say enough about our stay at the Rio Grande Bed and Breakfast! My wife and I were supposed to be in Italy for our honeymoon, but Covid-19 changed our plans Luckily, we found this bed and breakfast which made our honeymoon everything we could have hoped forThe house itself was a beautiful 110 year-old house

We stayed in the Garden Suite, which had its own private entrance, which was extremely nice We spent our nights on the beautiful patio and the breakfasts were amazing Kristine and her entire family treated us like extended family members the entire time They also gave us fantastic recommendations on things to doI would scome back in a heartbeat, and we plan to when we have kids! Thanks for everything, Kristine

PLEASE STAY ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR HEALTH & CLEANLINESS! This hotel room was maybe the worst stay I’ve had There were ants in the bathroom, which I overlooked at first as the space seemed okay otherwise (didn’t have to much time to examine it) I was exhausted & my lungs were flaring up out of no where so I decided to sleep as check in was so late

In the morning I woke up to shower after the hot springs & the shower had mold all over the inside of the curtain Multiple large spots of dark mold that clearly took time to develop The photos I took were with the curtain closed, as I didn’t want to inhale any more mold particles from the larger spots of mold in the middle of the curtain Keep in mind the bathroom is small & is located 2 feet from the bed you sleep in No wonder my breathing issues were flared during my stay The hotel has completely refused to offer even a discount for this even after providing photos They are perfectly okay to have you sleep next to mold & charge you $240 a night to do so Please for your health & cleanliness stay elsewhere The bed was also very stiff & uncomfortable, and during check in/out the staff was rude & cold

Kent Schnurbusch

Location, amenities, staff Glenwood Springs Inn has it all The guest room was comfortable, clean, updated and quiet

The staff was exceptional in terms of their responsiveness and presence on the property We really appreciated the secure car charging stations on the property We were able to walk to restaurants, the Hot Springs Pool, parks and river trails Thank you for the lovely stay

Glenn Johnson

We stayed overnight here while traveling around CO The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to downtown The room was in good condition and very clean

My only complaint was there is no coffee maker in the room nor is there any coffee available in the lobby Realizing that after we arrived, I got a take out coffee the night before and reheated it in the microwave to get myself going in the morning It is a decent place for the price

Compared to some of the other Comfort Inn and Suites we’ve stayed, this one is by far the best Pretty little walkway alongside the river in the back The mountain across the river is simply gorgeous

There’s a deck outside the pool area with a grill which I thought was cool We reserved a room with a jacuzzi tub and it was so relaxing Might be my new favorite anniversary hotel We’ll definitely be staying here again!

Lacey Brakey

Shelia at the front desk was the best front office hotel receptionist She was friendly, outgoing and overall made us feel welcomed! This made us definitely want to come back to the hotel when we are in Glenwood The hotel itself is older but functional and a good location

The pool and hot tub definitely need some renovations I would mainly come back for the customer service and location but there are several other hotels in this location as well

I always enjoy staying at this hotel Big reason, right on the Colorado River I always get a room with River view

Nice walkway behind the hotel, if you continue east across the road, it continues on the south side of the river Nice breakfast Some noise in hotel as they are updating rooms I felt safe there The photo is right behind the hotel

You get what you pay for in an expensive town Bed was comfortable and clean, shower fixtures were loose in the wall but function good, could barley hear the neighbors The basic hotel amenities, nothing fancy, good breakfast, staff is very helpful

Only really negative thing I could say would be that the carpet is absolutely disgusting, it looks clean enough but I took a shower and was only walking around in the room barefoot packing up then when I went to put my sandals on the bottom of my feet were black please do a deep carpet wash or get new flooring Otherwise I had a great stay

Great place with really big rooms I was pleasantly surprised with rooms They had two queen beds in one with separate with bed of our own

I really enjoyed staying there, we were just passing by so we didn’t stay for longer but it was really nice and wished other places had amenities like thisStaff was really good and attentive and any time I am passing here, I will make a point to stop here Public pool with hot water is not that far and this is really nice place to stay

The 2 stars were for the kind Front Desk Staff and the location Overall the property was quiet and comfortable However, I never felt comfortable or clean in the rooms

NO stars for:*first room I checked into, incredibly dirty Bathtub not scrubbed, stains on walls, dust, sink not clean, carpet not vacuumed and when I came back from dinner after check in, the room reeked of pot smoke*second room I checked into seemed in better condition but found a long hair inside folded hand towels and hair on one of the beds Carpet was also not vacuumed and the bathroom fan was very dirty At least the tub and sink were clean in the second room! The hotel was old and I wasn’t expecting a 5 star Ritz Carlton However, I do expect rooms to be clean This stay was a disappointment and I would not choose to stay here again

We rode the train from Provo Utah to Glenwood Springs CO Hotel Denver is extremely convenient to this historic train station Right across a narrow street

Both the hotel and the train station are located in the most perfect area of town Beautiful views in every direction and within walking distance to endless restaurants and shopping The room was upgraded and very clean and inviting The staff was friendly and accommodating We enjoyed our stay there and would stay again

Beautiful hotel that is centrally located in the downtown area Everything is walking distance that you could want from the hotelOur room was very nice and faced the Colorado River

It was a nice antique-industrial blend that looked like a nice studio rather than a hotel roomStaff was friendly and accommodating and the brewpub downstairs had good beers on tap with friendly bar staffOverall highly recommended

Fabulous people (special shout-outs to Nina and her manager, both just amazing folks and so warm and caring), fabulous location, fabulous breakfast (fresh, well-stocked, awesome selection), clean “two-bedroom” (quotes around it because there is no door to the 2nd bedroom but no problem, it’s still lovely), I frankly can’t think of anything they need to do to improve One of the better hotel experiences I’ve had in recent times Makes me want to re-think my loyalty to the Marriott family of properties

Can’t do better than that!

My family and I stayed here for two nights Actually we’re checking out tomorrow morning I wanted to say I highly recommend this hotel

Number one it’s so convenient, we came for the hot springs It’s just a couple minutes away from either of the hot springs So close to the center of town where all the great restaurants are Centrally located The staff here are so friendly Check-in was a breeze and friendly we were even offered extra towels The hotel room was clean The breakfast was fantastic Crispy bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy scrambled eggs, there’s yogurts, fresh hot coffee, fresh fruit bagels, pancakes that you make yourself We will definitely come back and stay here again

I stayed here once 10 years ago, and it sure has changed The room used to cost maybe $130 a night and now it’s closer to $300 a night (and that was from Expedia!) The bathroom is very small, so much so that the sink and mirror are not even in the bathroom

And we were apparently at the mating season of some bugs that live in the trees outside of our third floor middle room (July) As such we had bugs all over the room in the evenings as they came in through the air conditioner mounted underneath the window It was disgusting I do not think we would stay here again and Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotel chains

Solid hotel on the edge of CarbondaleYou get about what you would expect Rooms and hotel were clean, staff at the front desk were nice, breakfast was serviceable

The Roaring Fork River out back makes for a surprisingly wonderful view and backyard area Only negatives were that the bathrooms were small, elements of the room were a bit dated, and the A/C was a bit on the loud side

Nathan Kennelly

We stayed here bc there weren’t any rooms available in Glenwood Springs The pool was great and so was the hot tub The staff made us feel like we were at home

Breakfast was good and this hotel is located convenientlyI think it said you could bring your pet as wellFamily friendly The only negative is that the walls weren’t insulated very well and people heard my loud family and we could hear others Still 5 stars!

Ateyah Eid

The woman behind the front desk was so rude to me When I asked her for a student discount, she said if you need a cheaper price go to a cheap motel, ( she did not even say I’m sorry we don’t have) They need to hire polite staff for this position as a receptionist

Treat ppl as you want to be treated and be nice to others Even if the place is good, the bad treatment from the staff makes the experience bad
