Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This website will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of my favorites in this area

I have been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you for sure will love it I’m sure!Great location, close to lots of bars, restaurants and shops I loved the decor and architecture, and all the staff were very friendly The gallery is a beautiful space, with tables and chairs to meet and take in the art The bar too is a pretty space with art, and our bartender Blair tried her hand at a Wisconsin Brandy Old Fashioned and did a pretty good job! While there is coffee and tea in the room, it was nice to have an additional place in the building to grab a morning beverage, and snack The rooms are what I would call art deco, with vibrant colors and cozy spaces If ever in Detroit, this is a great place to stay

I had family staying there in bridal suite for 3-4 days for her wedding Housekeeping was awful at cleaning it Had to call 3x in one day to have them come clean the room!! Than on the day of the wedding we called front desk to see if they could spread some rose petals on the bed while they were gone

We were told no, not enough time in advanceReally?? It’s the bridal suite!! Shouldn’t this be something you should be doing ANYWAY?!?So we came in later to do it ourselves and Housekeeping was finally in there to clean and we asked if they could just do it when they were done, so we didn’t get in their way We were told no again, not my job The front desk staff wasn’t nice either For the amount of money paid for that room you should have staff that is willing to make their stay memorable in a positive way!!FYI we did the rose petals ourselves, had to leave the reception to do it but it was done and done right

Excellent stay, could not recommend it more Beautiful design – modern interpretation on Detroit’s bygone Art Deco era – and tastefully appointed rooms Enjoyed the stay tremendously and would stay here again if in Detroit

Had no problem with the valet like in some other reviews, valet was courteous, fast and efficient no issues in my experience of it

Brandon T

One of the best stays of my life in the downtown Detroit area Once staying here I was staying in a “Cass or Cass King” it had a awesome terrace you could lounge on During this time of year(winter) it was a bit cold

The room it’s self was incredible! Room service was great, cocktail lounge was great, awesome drinks They saved me in a pinch too I had forgot to pack my belt We were going to a redwings game that evening I had to run down to the store to purchase a belt Life saver! Otherwise my pants would have been falling off of me all night Always a great stay at the Shinola I will revisit soon!

My wife and I Stayed here for a wedding recently Even though there was a convention that brought thousands of people to downtown Detroit that weekend, the staff was calm, cool, and collected From the concierge to the cleaning staff, everyone who worked here was more than helpful (and polite)

Since the pandemic, I’ve come to expect the hotel industry to have a lesser level of service because of staffing shortages But I was pleasantly surprised of a high class, mid-century level of hospitality we experienced at the Westin Cadillac Great times at the lobby bar each night!

Erika

Decided to stay here for our girls weekend Front desk girl upon check in was nice/hospitable Arriving to our rooms, looked nice as well

So far starting out goodor so we thought Our AC didn’t work well in the room, the bed was terrible along with the flat pillows Trying to call the front desk late night for additional items for our bed- we were told we could come get it but no one was able to bring it to our room We walked down to get a pizza we ordered then see 4 employees just standing around at the front desk The man who was working the desk in the evening was so rude, rolling his eyes like we were an issue after asking for suggestions to where we could get food then the whole you can walk down to get your own requests What is the point of paying for a $400 room?? Not hospitable AT ALL! Called to ask for a manger this morning and still haven’t received a call from them How do you run a Westin this terribly? I’ve never had this type of experience at any other location Would spend my money elsewhere if you want to be treated like a guest!

I try to be fair and I don’t rate a business one star unless it’s truly deserved However I would not recommend the Element hotel DetroitLets start with the positives,1

The Monarch club is nice and has a few food choices which makes service fast2 Most of the Staff are polite3 The breakfast is okay as well, when it’s not left over eggs from the previous day The fresh muffins are goodSerious negatives1VERY UNSAFE2 I had over $1,500 in parking fees charged to my account when I did not valet park or park period with the element hotel at all during my stay3Some of the housekeeping staff are very dishonest and steal from guest rooms and are very dishonest to guest4 The hotel is very out of control at times, people are so drunk and high off drugs that they are fighting, arguing and banging on stuff in the hall ways at 2am, makes you feel very unsafe I was afraid to go out into the hallway5Rooms are literally falling apart from domestic violence and people fighting in the roomsIf I had to choose a hotel to reside at in downtown Detroit I would choose Shinola hotel for my safety and peace of mind I have stayed there and never had any problems always very pleasant

Shina Alade

Really can’t say enough great things about this hotel! It’s well-priced, and accordingly sort of a no-frills experience, but it does all the important things right Gives you the feel of staying in a boutique hotel, without the boutique price tag It’s in a gorgeous historic building, perfectly located very central to Detroit’s entertainment district

Modern, updated rooms that feel clean and fresh, with very comfortable bedding Free wifi, free breakfast, and reasonably priced valet parking This is my go-to Detroit hotel!

Aaron

This might be the best business hotel I’ve ever stayed in! So much to highlight in a stay I thoroughly enjoyed: fabulous service from everyone; very comfortable, quiet, big, modern rooms with awesome beds and white noise machines; perfectly silent air conditioning; fantastic desks, ergo chairs(!) and WiFi for work; a full kitchen with stove and dishwasher that I could have had my meals in; decent hotel gym; access to the fantastic YMCA Detroit next door if you really want to stay fit; nice, healthy breakfasts and cooked omelettes in what is supposed to be a 3-star hotel(?); perfect location; great restaurants nearby; cool restoration of a beautiful old building Can’t wait to come back I hope all element hotels are like this

My experience at this particular casino is simply okay Before the pandemic, you could walk in here and leave with a comfortable amount of money This week I stayed at the Greektown Casino hotel

I went downstairs to the casino about three times (each time on different days & hours) Just to get a feel for the environment I did not spend much however, each time I left, I simply broke even That’s great for me however, listening to the horror stories of other people around me these machines simply were not paying out One annoying fact that my party and I noticed was majority of the machine volume controls were broken Therefore, many of the machines were extremely loud They made sounds even if the machine awarded 3 cents We determined that it was to fool people nearby into thinking the machines were paying big It’s still a good place due to most of the restaurants being open I love the fact it’s now completely smoke free (they do have an outside patio for smokers) In addition, I did not notice any special disinfection protocols in place A lot of the machines had trash around them, used napkins, drinks etc Overall, it was an okay experience A ton of attractions are nearby and everything is in walking distance Therefore, if you get bored at the casino you can easily go somewhere else downtownFYI- the only two machines that were paying out (each time I visited) was Cleopatra and Wonder WomanThe hotel was a good experience The only issue we had was loud neighbors next door They remodeled the rooms and they are very tiny You barely have any place to put all of your things Double nightstands in the room have vanished so be prepared We were unable to fit our suitcase inside the tiny wardrobe On the other hand, the views were spectacular We were on the 23rd floor and we kept the window open at night because it was just so beautiful

I’ve been coming here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you won’t be disappointedIt was a fun casino Nice and spacious We were guest there for a contest to maybe gone on to Las Vegas Didn’t win that trip but we had a wonderful time All casino employees were very gracious and helpful Would love to return some day Much more hospitable than some of their sister casinos Thank You all so much

The Legendary Atone

Although the atmosphere can be kind of empty here, it is a very nice casino The food options are decent and their comp system is great Their poker room is very welcoming but unfortunately they don’t attract many players at a time

You never know who you may run into here, I was blessed to be able to play at roulette tables with Allen Iverson on a random night in Detroit! Amazing!

This will be my go-to lodging for Little Caesar’s Arena events! Beautiful inn – main floor, hallways, and guest rooms The rooms are spacious and well-appointed The entire mansion has the feel of luxury lodging

The staff is friendly and helpful The location cannot be beat Just one block from LCA Parking (paid) is right out the back door There was no water glass in the room, but this was probably an oversight Communication could have been better, but the overall experience made up for this

Jonathan Fuhrman

Stayed here because it was the closest hotel to Little Caesars Arena for the Dua Lipa concert Not only was it convenient but as somebody who loves antiques and vintage homes, it was over the top fabulous to stay in In addition to the spacious room and bathroom, there are three seating areas on the main floor that guests can use

Just a very lovely place with great staff Highly recommend!

Thais Ziroldo

I had the worst experience with this place and unfortunately the staff was also not accepting of our complaints as other reviews mentioned The room was disgustingly dirty Dirt everywhere, stains on the sheets, ripped towels and comforter, the blinds of the main window which faces the street wouldn’t shut and there was nothing we could do about it, room temperature cannot be adjusted and it was insanely hot in the rooms, etc

the list goes on and on… there was so much dirt everywhere, pills from previous guests on the couch, rose petals on the floor, etc I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I had such a horrible experience that I literally checked out early after not even 24hrs there and checked in somewhere else I have no idea how this place has good reviews or is considered 4 star hotel Literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been in my life

We LOVED staying here The gentleman at the check-in counter went above and beyond We checked in late after a concert

Local restaurants were closed He had us order from a restaurant that stayed open late, he drove to the restaurant and picked up our order and brought it back to the hotel for us (at 1 am!) Then he extended a late check-out for us The historic atmosphere was gorgeous Hope to be able to stay here again!

Great Detroit hotel in corktown with lots of charm! I stayed at this hotel when I was in Detroit to see Jack White on 4-8-2022 and enjoyed my stay very much I had a room on the first floor that had a patio door that led out to the courtyard which was nice When I arrived I noticed another group arrive and requested a fire in the courtyard, I saw one of the hotel workers set up a fire and light it for them

He even apologized that he did not have a saw for one of the logs, and did a nice job of setting up a fire So for those reviews that say there is no fire pit or courtyard, I took photos to show that they are there The beds are comfortable as are the pillows The shower was nice and clean and the water was hot I did not find the room to be overly noisy and hardly noticed/heard my neighbors at all The cement floors were a bit cool to bare feet so I wore socks The only small knock I had was that my mini fridge did not seem to work, but that really wasn’t a big deal It is worth mentioning that this hotel is about a 3-minute walk away from a nice craft brewery called Batch Brewing Company so that’s a nice perk also All in all a very nice hotel that represents Detroit well, highly recommended!

My husband and I decided to come to Detroit over February break (I’m a teacher) Our daughter came here for a weekend in March 2020…

empty plane…pandemic just beginning…she loved it Fast forward to now…my mom passed away 1/18 It was a very difficult few months and I’m broken-hearted I booked a few days here at my daughters advice This place is wonderful!!!!! The staff!!! I can’t say enough about all of you!!! ❤️👍 I can’t mention everyone by name but everyone was equally kind, friendly, helpful, and ambassadors for this hotel and this beautiful city There is a fire pit in the courtyard The grounds are filled with snow and ice I asked the front desk about it I wanted to sit by a fire Tonight when we came back from dinner, the owners, and the wonderful front desk staff member, made that happen! They got firewood, and made a fire for us! It was the most comfort I’ve had in months…and for this…I thank you all from the bottom of my heart I wish you and every staff member HUGE success and Blessings Your hotel is beautiful The beddingthe grounds…the artwork…the location…all perfect I never go anywhere twice…except here We will be back! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️Pat and Eddie Bergstrom

Our room was very basic Concrete walls which felt a bit odd, but they had nice furniture and decor No coffee in the room (at the time) Restaurant was delicious Walking distance to Michigan Ave with lots of places to eat Across the street from a brew pub Staff was pretty friendly Good prices at the time

Clean, beautiful units, pleasant garden area and common area similar to an English Bed & Breakfast Safe & easy to access parking lot that’s secured Cafe next door for any quick bites or coffee/tea, and community gardens next to cafe

Kind staff Also there are random events like Jurassic Park movie night in Greenhouse with free snacks and drinks – very cute!

Lovely experience overall Exactly as pictured, our room was exceptionally clean and well stocked with numerous cute welcome snacks/tea/coffee All-stone shower was a highlight

We stayed in the room with bunk beds and an in-suite bathroom, the space was perfect for two and felt spacious with the separate dining table under the bay windows! Each staff member we met was friendly and excited to share restaurant recommendations and advice about Detroit, and helped make our experience five-star!

Stayed at the El Moore Lodge for New Years Eve 2021 and this hotel is very nice The secure parking was definitely a plus as well as how to access everything upon arrival I stayed in the Moonbeam Cabin and it was exactly like the pictures online

For anyone who stays here in the future they do offer Netflix and Youtube TV The views are spectacular and I would definitely stay here againThe only downside I would say is not being able to access other streaming apps such as Hulu when doing so it asked for a pin, also no phone to be able to call downstairs if needed

Really nice place to stay The only issue I have is if you do an extended stay of multiple days, you have to request room cleaning, linens, towels and such However, the rooms are very nice and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful and lots of nice shops to visit

The view outside from the rooms is a great view of Canada and the city of Detroit itself which is really brilliant in the night 🌃 scapes Thoroughly enjoyed my stay
