Not horrible, but far from good My room was dirty when I checked in, stains all over in the bathroom Hot tub had a black film floating in it

Part of the ceiling was missing in the pool room From the look of it for a long time Staff was nice and the breakfast was better than the average hotel All and all for the cheap price its not bad

Angela Faubion

First room that I was given hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guest left Second room was better but not by much The soap had been placed on a dirty soap dish that wasn’t wiped off

I noticed dirty wet towels behind a door as I was leaving in the morning that didn’t belong to me I told the staff but they didn’t care The pool was green & the chlorine was so strong that you could smell it from the hotel desk When entering the pool room, I had to leave right away because the chlorine burned my eyes I will never stay at this location again! Hotel is GROSS!!

Stayed there last night Hotel wreaked of Marijuana everywhere in the building Went down to workout in the exercise room at 5:30 am, no towels

Went to front desk to get towels Lobby had the worst pot smell of anywhere in the building We talked to friends of ours, who also stayed in the hotel that night The pot smell was so strong that all of us could smell it in our rooms throughout the night This hotel has a weed issue We won’t be staying there again

I spent about a month in the hotel on business The staff and housekeeping services are pretty solid I was able to get my room reliably cleaned every week and get a paper from downstairs on the local news

Coffee is available 24 hours, its pretty decent The room had awesome heating, plenty of space and a comfortable bed The gym has a few treadmills, a bike and elliptical and a dumbbell set, yoga mats – all you need to get a good work out inThe hotel does an evening social once a week where they’ve got free beer and snacks which is cool and encouraging I haven’t come across many places that do this but its a great way to network and interact with people especially in times of COVIDThe biggest complaints would be the inconsistently of the room keys, if you can get the app – use it because you’ll find yourself losing the ability to go into the gym, laundry room, pool or even your own room at the drop of a dime The breakfast is edible as long as you stay away from the powdered eggs

Solid choice for north suburban stays They do one weird thing though , I’ve observed it during every stay in 2022, which is that between 0715 and 1000 each day but especially on weekends, they’ll entirely clean the lobby bathrooms, tiles in front of bathrooms, and even tile floors of first floor exit areas with really slick floor detergent But this is exactly the time of highest foot traffic in all these areas

I’ve witnessed grandmas nearly spill their breakfast coffee trying to maneuver into and out of those bathrooms because it’s like ice I thought it was because staff to do this only worked mornings, but that turns out not to be the case, the same individual creating local slip & slides is still working at 1530 Clean up of these areas should really occur only after 10:30 or so, it isn’t safe unless you’re barefoot and even then I doubt it

Jerry Inderlee

My girlfriend and I spent almost 6 months here and really miss the wonderful staff, the beautiful room, and the way they made us feel right at homeThe front desk, maintenance, kitchen, and environmental services were 10 out of 10!My girlfriend wants to move back lol!Thank you for everything you did for us!

Updated (5/28/2022) Back again visiting family in the Twin Cities Clean, and we couldn’t be happier to be back at this Marriott location! PREVIOUS: Our room is spacious, clean and comfortable! The hotel is well located for our visiting needs while in Minneapolis Our room was well appointed with extras not found at other hotels in this category Front desk personnel were very pleasant and helpful

This will be our “go-to” location in the future when we come to visit Thank you for making our stay just that much more pleasant!!!

Christopher Keller

First I want to say how amazing the staff are, specifically Bill and his team max and chutney were tonight I’ve never seen such genuine care for the well being of every guest, but also the way bill treated his employees and that clearly permeates throughout the entire hotel which is why we will never go anywhere elseOn a side note, the “Venitian” waterpark is spelled wrong

I made mention of it to the front desk manager and she didn’t seem to care , guess I know who spelled it wrongThanks again to the night team for taking care of my guys who are in town all week for training

Jason B

I would say that about 95% of the Marriott hotels I have stayed in have never disappointed! This being one of them, I only had one issue and that was with my mobile room key, which was easily fixed with a regular room key However, my stay was amazing, the staff was friendly and the outdoor hot tub! Sitting in the hot tub when it’s cold out, is amazing! There is shopping and restaurants in walking distance, there also is food and bar right in the lobby in case you just don’t want to venture out! Definitely will stay again!

We decided to spend our anniversary here as this is where we spent our honeymoon 5 years ago and still love it! The staff are very nice, it’s always clean, pool is nice and is 3-5 feet so not very deep but enough to swim laps or just lounge in The price seems reasonable to us, as we paid $163 for our suite for the night It’s nice to have the roof top restaurant attached! We always get the suites with the hot tub that has a fire place, king bed, stand up shower, and lots of towels

We would highly recommend them and will be going back again

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions The times before were good This time the hotel was wild and quite the party atmosphere

It was so loud outside our rooms until after midnight Definitely do not stay on the ground floor if you are wanting to sleep at any point The other room we had on the second floor wasn’t much better We understand people having a good time but this was outrageous When management was asked about it, he politely replied there wasn’t anything that could be done and the bar stayed open until 2AM This will be our last stay at this facility

Shayne E

We were in town for some concrete pump training and stayed at this facility Nicest Best Western I have ever stayed The owner would personally greet us at dinner to make sure we were enjoying our stay

The restaurant bar inside the hotel was lively and had incredible food Try the prime rib it was delicious! We had a large group and our server, who I believe was Eddie, was very attentive and kept the drinks flowing This is why I can’t remember his name for sure! Great stay

Great service!Excellent guest service from gentleman in the breakfast area I believe his name is George This man was wonderful to our whole family that was in Minneapolis for a wedding

He was super helpful, kind and kept a very clean dining areaFront desk staff were friendly and helped my father by printing out a map Very friendlyMaintenance gentleman was super helpful and made sure we were perfectly set up in conference room Didn’t want us to have to worry about anythingRooms were clean and I slept like a baby!Manager was easy to work with while helping coordinate the rooms and paid attention to our needs! All the way around a great experience!

Stephanie Niccum

The hotel looks very nice Aside from a few housekeeping issues such as a dirty shower floor the rooms were ok Our pull out had no sheets, pillows, blankets

We had to ask for them and all we received was a blanket that was just placed on the front desk for us yo have to pick up The first night was one of the worst nights sleep I have ever had There was a group partying next door to us Loud music, yelling, slamming doors, etc We called the front desk and they “warned” them I called a 2nd time and the front desk wouldn’t answer when I called on the room phone so I called with my cell phone They “warned” them again alas this party was not going to stop and they were still at it at 2:30 am When I asked the front desk about it in the morning I was met with contention My suggestion if you have an issue with noise complaints don’t even bother with the front desk just call the cops The workers here are useless The breakfast wad also less than to be desired They have toasters with cream cheese and butter but only offered pre wrapped muffins What a joke

Alison Tisdell

The service was extremely poor The staff was not knowledgeable about any questions we had We had reserved a double queen room and were put in a single king room

This does not work when we have children with us The light socket in our room had prongs from a cord stuck in it The doors didn’t close all the way They held over $1100 on my card while we were there When we asked for clean towels for our room they were left sitting on the dirty hallway floor instead of put in our room I will never be staying at this hotel again

Relatively expensive at the time of my stay in this place But I enjoyed the clean hotel room, its free breakfast, hotel’s security, free parking and excellent staff services at the front desk and dining room Soap and other hotel’s amenities are limited

I’ll go back and stay with them again if their prices for the rooms readjusted I thank all the hotel’s staff for facilitating my time with them

Josh Mallett

Overall good experience, room was mostly clean, fast check in and out, friendly staff Breakfast was hot and good Beds were comfortable enough

I have 4 out of 5 stars due to remote control for TV was very dirty and one of the 2 chairs was very soiled It needs to be taken out back and set on fire 🙂 Everything else felt very clean My only other complaint was they did not have an extra pillow availableOverall I would stay there again next time I’m in Minnesota

Eva Zabrocki

Really just a disappointing stay overall Beds and pillows were very low quality and uncomfortable, breakfast was the typical low budget food you expect at a continental breakfast, but with very little variety, and the pool was much smaller than typicalI’d say maybe it’s just not meant for families with children, but I wouldn’t want to stay there with just adults either as the 6 children staying in the room across from us were running up and down the halls and stairs from the minute they woke up to around 11 pm (apparently the parents couldn’t be bothered to do anything with them other than feed them)

I’ve never been less impressed with a hotel stay, we made reservations elsewhere and checked out early This will definitely be our last Hampton stay

What a great place to stay! The lovely gentleman who greeted us with a cheerful hello, Moe, was outstanding! He was gracious and kind and always smiling! You are blessed to have a wonderful employee like Moe to start guest visits off so positively!! As a manager I know how difficult it is to find quality employees – Moe is a KEEPER!! Thanks for making our stay great Moe keep smiling- you’re the best!!!!

I was at this location for an event We were able to check in early and get ready in our room before the event started The event was a little hard to get to as we needed to walk through a different event

The servers at our event were not consistent with their policies and we were charged for things one time and not others that were not consistent with the information shared with guests prior to the event Our room itself was nice but fid have some small issues One of the electrical outlets didn’t work causing us to choose between a lamp or an alarm clock The toilet did not flush completely and left toilet paper Would need two flushes to clear The hotel is very nice inside and the decor is appealing, however the outside is a bit stark

Paul Wheeler

This could easily be a top hotel but no breakfast in the restaurant on offer for example along with having to pay for room WiFi is tough to accept I travel the world for business and I NEVER pay for room WiFi It is 2022 after all so get with the program Marriott hotels

Super friendly staff and a comfortable room make up for these shortfallsjust Cheers Paul

When we arrived at the hotel around 11:30 pm, we walked through the front doors to check in and were hit by the distinct smell of marijuana When we got into our room and took a shower, we noticed boogers on our shower curtain However, we were impressed with the heating and cooling unit and it worked very well! Overall, a decent place to stay if you don’t mind those minor issues

Phoua Lor

I stayed here for a couple of nights and was not reimbursed the charge on my card until over 2 weeks later when I had to call them about my issue I was promptly refunded the money by the general manager upon calling 17 days after my stay, but it is upsetting that this action had not been taken as soon as I checked out of the hotel – as it should have been

robert robb

Room was clean, reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff Only had 1 problem but I didn’t bring it up to try to remedy it Junior hockey! Their kids hyped up about a game and at a motel with long hallways pools and an elevator or 3

I work over nights usually a 14 hour shift, during the week the place is pretty quiet Friday and Saturday nights during hockey season not so much If you want sleep during the day haha not gonna happen There is signs about kids running in the halls that says don’t do it But they had hockey goals set up in the hallways and running slamming into doors etc Forget about catching the elevator when their staying there Again I didn’t complain to anyone just kinda cranked up my headphones and tried my best to sleep I will be staying many more times though Nice pool area, gameroom, weights, laundry free breakfast Heading there this afternoon, hopefully no hockey

It’s definitely a two star hotel The location is absolutely fabulous The hotel hasn’t been updated or given any love and many, many, many, years

It just doesn’t match the surrounding area; that has developed and changed so much in the last 15 -20 years Yet, this place has stayed the same The pool is functional, the room was fine, it was clean enough Breakfast is OK; standard nothing special I do think it’s way overpriced for what it is

Amanda Gunderson

Upon first arrival, it smelled of stale cigarette, and there were cigarette burns on the bedding, but I thought that at least it was clean, until I find a used turnequtte under my pillow!! My husband brought it to the attention of the clerk and she said the best she could due was take $50 off one night if our stay There were no other hotels available in the area were we needed We paid $350 for a 2 night stay and had our young grandchildren with us

The breakfast was rather bland The kids enjoyed the waffles and swimming at least

Dawn Jennings

We booked a non-smoking room, but it reeked of cigarettes They didn’t have another room available and wouldn’t refund money Left the window without a screen open till bedtime and didn’t spend time in room for the day

My allergies acted up anyway I did make a complaint with corporate They later offered a different room, but then renigiged on it The room wasn’t very clean and the tub faucet leaked water continuously

I guess they were able to find one Looking forward to trying it out tonight I need a good nights rest without my back and hip hurting

Hotel room is huge! Nice warm pool and huge hot tub! Adults only in pool from 10pm-12am! I’ve never heard of a pool being open so late! There is a secret passage way to a bar/restaurant off the second floor There are arcade games, pool, darts, ax throwing (to come), and a bowling alley! Couldn’t ask for much more to keep the teens entertained

chelsey carroll

We stayed there last Saturday for my daughters birthday When we arrived we were told the water slide was out of order ( one of the reasons we decided to stay there) Then we tried to go bowling and there was bowling tournaments going on all day

So we decided to go to the arcade and eat dinner No food available and only a few games worked I booked this stay in advance and was never sent an email or anything stating these issues It was really fun having to disappoint a group of kids that were looking forward to the things that the hotel was said to offer Please update your website to show accurate accommodations

Krystal Tranby

We really enjoyed our stay while here for Back to the Fifties The reason I give 2 stars for service has nothing to do with the staff All staff was friendly but they no longer clean the rooms which is apparently because of COVID but this means you have to go to the front desk for garbage bags, clean towels etc

Also the waterslide was out of order while we were there but they do have that stated clearly on the website The attached restaurant had good food but was dealing with staffing issues Several members of our party enjoyed the bowling alley one evening It was reasonably priced and they could bowl all they wanted until 10:00PM We will try them again for Btt50s next year and I will update my review at that time!
