I was taking the Autotrain and stayed here 10 years ago and loved the hotel! Now I’m back overnight again after all this time and the place is amazing! They definitely remodeled the place and the rooms were so pretty and very clean! They also have a free breakfast for the guests which was amazing! Thank you Marie and Parker at the front desk who were so very nice and professional and had a smile on their faces! 5 STARS!

Reese Hathaway

Very close to the AutoTrain Within walking distance of Amazon Fresh The room itself was very nice and clean

The breakfast was good and gave my party enough time to get breakfast later in the morning My only complaint is my room smelled musty our entire stay The AC was also set on 75 when we arrived Other than that the hotel was great Checkout is at 11 o’clock If you’re going on the auto train you can pick up dinner nearby then get your car checked in at 12:30

Kimberley Sherman

Convenient location for catching the auto train We’ve stayed here before & were happy The staff was very friendly especially Lisa, front desk, Westley, Chief Engineer, & Mary, GM

They all tried to fix the issues we had with our room They’re trying to renovate & update as they get the materials Some rooms need it more than others, like ours with the musty ac unit The cleaning staff needs to be more thorough also I gave the 3 stars because the staff honestly tried to help us and are working on making the property better

This an OK stay because when I booked my room way in advance, we were given a kind size suite We I checked in, we were given a double bed I was told because the hotel was “to capacity and because of the rate that was given

” They had to switch out three people because of their rate as well Never heard of that Susan M was very apologetic Once in the room, #229, we found it to be an ADA room with double beds, the shower head was broken and no washcloths Called the front desk told Susan the issues and requested another king size bed room for the next day The request was granted but still no washcloths in the King size room Susan M made our stay better Thanks Susan M for your assistance, emphathy and points

Nathalie Clarke

So disappointed with breakfast

no jelly, no cream cheese but plenty of salsa options So bagels, toast and muffins topped with salsa??? I’m confused No bacon, no sausage No Belgium waffles I thought I booked at a Marriot hotel! Had better breakfast at a Best Western Sleep-in, breakfast suckedunless you like salsa toast

The beds are super comfy and the breakfast is delicious The indoor pool is a bonus and there’s a Sundry Shop for snacks The front desk staff was polite and professional

We forgot an electronic device when we checked out of our room I called to inquire about it and Housekeeping had already turned it into the front desk Also, the hotel was clean, sanitized, and the property was well maintained

Shelly Thomas

We ordered a double queen with a sofa Didn’t necessarily need a sofa bed; however, we had a double queen with a cot to fold out That would have been fine except the only place it could have been opened would have completely blocked the exit door and bathroom

2 adults and 3 children that couldn’t happen I had to take the mattress off the cart and wedge it between the one bed and the wall Luckily it was only 1 night Small room, but clean The staff were very nice!

Darcy

Absolutely LOVED our stay here The continental breakfast was everything! I will definitely return to this again They lost a star because all of the sheets and pillowcases had black stains on them (presumably mascara or some ink they couldn’t get out from past folks)

There was at least one stain on each pillow, sheet, and blanket so there was no avoiding it

First time to try this hotel, was an amazing experience The check in process was seamless Ample of parking spots available ( was for free during my stay, I was told that at times they charge)

Also they are clear in their instructionsThe room I got was super clean and with a fridge and a microwave breakfast was better than what I got in an actual breakfast place with lots of choicesAlso they have a pool and a gym I hope you enjoy your stay like I did

We stayed at this location during our trip to DC and were blown away by the positive experience we had The manager, I believe his name was Kevin, was absolutely welcoming and accommodating in every way He went out of his way multiple times to personally ensure that every guest was comfortable and had all their needs met

We forgot to pack some supplies and he happily provided a replacementThe room was very clean, comfortable, and had no weird smells The Continental Breakfast was delicious and plentiful while the eating area was constantly kept clean Thank you to all the staff for making this a great trip We have agreed to make this our permanent hotel whenever visiting the area

Thomas Weaver

We had a very nice, spacious room We are showing our condo for sale and it was great that they were able to accommodate our cats! We had a comfortable, and restful stay The young gentleman at the front desk was super professional and attentive

Everything was fresh and clean I have had a great experience at each Hampton Inn that I’ve stayed at

I am beyond in disbelief of the customer service and the overall experience in general Upon entering our first room it smelled like urine In that room we also have our baby who uses formula

We woke up the next morning to seeing ants literally everywhere and all over my baby’s things I’ve had to dump things in the middle of a formula shortage Which is a horrible loss to any new mom who has to literally travel to find this stuffReached out to the front desk at around 6am They were prompt and moved us to a different room We looked didn’t see any ants initially We left the hotel for the day and came back at night Before we left we kept everything off the floor, nothing in reach and hung up everything Came back to the room with ants in the bed and on the desk they have yet againWent downstairs around 12 at night to complain again The manager told me we can either check out in the middle of the night with our newborn baby and get a refund, or he could move us to yet another ant roomI get that it’s a tough job especially with a worker shortage The manager was not attentive neither empathetic at all He actually seemed really clueless about what to say or doIf you have baby’s I would not recommend staying here until they fix the ant problem The hotel is very dated at thatI did enjoy a salad I got from the bar and the customer service was stellar from the bartender

A really nice Hilton with the feel of an older, grand style Hotel The fitness center and pool area was pristine; both the bar/restaurant and full menu or buffet breakfast was all excellent quality I was there for 5 nights for business; it really made a difference to have all the amenities on hand

Nice little gift shop and hair/nail salon too Would definitely stay again, whether for business or leisure

Byron Gillespie

This is a really nice elegant looking hotel! I can’t deny that when you walk in the lobby and in your room you’ll get the feeling of staying in luxury! But, this hotel is lacking on one very important feature Look at the picture of the thermostat! This thermostat is from the 1970’s…! Please Hilton, update the thermostats in this hotel! My review should be a full 5-star but because of the 40-year old thermostat I had to take a star away from my review!

Got set up in this hotel for a few nights do the work Very happy with this location This hotel was very clean staff is very friendly and rooms were really nice

I got me a double bedroom which was pretty spacious Thought the beds and pillows we’re a good quality and I slept pretty well Some of the best hotel towels I’ve ever had at least soft wise they didn’t rub my skin off while drying myself after a shower Each morning there was a little breakfast buffet, even though I had tickets it looks like it runs about $12 Pretty much the standard food pancakes, eggs, bacon Etc There was a little bar area they’re each night people tended to hang out at There was an extra fee for parking, they have a parking garage located underneath the hotel that you need a key card to open the automated gate to enter Very safe feeling, the elevator is required a key to be able to push your floor number And overall I thought access to the hotel from the main road was pretty easy on easy off It is Tysons area so traffic is always a nightmare here but there are ample restaurants in other activities pretty close I would definitely stay here again!

Paul Boakes

Staff helpful, hotel smart and clean Car parking no problem ($10/day, although free on the street outside)I’ve stayed here twice, and had no problems

Housekeeping on request only, but had no problem getting the towels changes every few days Room at the end of the corridor was quiet Bed huge Aircon effectiveI’d stay here againOddly nice fire hydrant just a few steps from the entrance – bit of a novelty for a visiting Brit!

danasia griner

On top of having to pay for breakfast and parking there’s extra fees added onto your room that I had no idea about The comforters are thin and the rooms barely give you a cozy stay away from home feeling There were ants in the room a few times and no one came to clean up even AFTER I called and asked if someone could be sent up

The receptionist said yes and I came back to a room that was still dirty The area was great and next to the train station so that’s why it had two stars if it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have stayed

Location is great for walking to restaurants Service is friendly Special thanks to Cindy at the front desk and everyone else at reception

Hotel is a bit dated with what looks like last refurbishment somewhere in the early 2000s But clean room and property is overall in good condition and well kept Bob Os restaurant was a bit on the tragic side and looked well, depressing Maybe it was the dim lighting and bulky booths I don’t know but it’s in need of a complete overhaul Overall, I’d stay here again for a two nights stay

For $270/night I was expecting a bit more You can book the Ritz across the street for around that price! The property was very clean and well maintained, but the decor felt quite dated No microwave and no free breakfast either

I’ve now stayed at all three Marriott properties in Tysons Corner The only one I will stay at again is the one on Rt 7 just off 495

Tom Marcin

A two-bit hotel with horrible air-conditioning Unhelpful front desk As soon as i walked in the hotel i became so horribly congested each night I couldn’t sleep

I should have left after first night Will never go back even though my office is across the street They don’t even offer a bottle of water to their guests who pay OVER $400+ on some nightsWhat a hot mess No amenities in the roomNot only will I not return to this Courtyard, i vow to never do any Marriott properties the rest of my lifeHilton, here i come

Robertq Quarture

I am a loyal Marriott Platinum member I am extremely disappointed in the new customer service, where you need to await your call for anything, to be answered by outsourced Customer Service The minimum wait is usually 10 minutes and they have no idea what they are talking about

They recite policy and have no flexibility My issue was a sudden death of a very close family member and Marriott would not refund a pre paid hotel night I will have no problem taking all my business and my company business elsewhere I have banned the use of any Marriott brand within our company It is a shame what Marriott has become!!

The staff are wonderful and friendly The night manager whom we dealt with both nights could not have been more helpful, more friendly, or more professional, he was a pleasure to work withBreakfast in the morning was very good – all fresh and well prepared

The breakfast attendants were great, especially the woman who personally made my wife a waffle and brought it over to us, with a warm smile and a pat on the shoulderThe location is a little far from DC, but it’s a very easy drive to and fro on 66 so it was well worth the drive to get peace, quiet, free parking, and free breakfastThe grounds are very nice It’s all outside entrances which makes it easier to come and go Also, it was very nice that they had the pool cleaned and the fountains on, even though it’s closed to swimming It just made the grounds so much more inviting, and it’s not something they had to do, so it was greatly appreciatedWe’ll definitely return!

John O’Neill

We just had an excellent three night stay Very nice room , quiet , everything was very clean and in working order The breakfast selection was good every morning

Plenty of parking and a great location You can catch a bus right accross the street to get to the MetroThe staff were all very pleasant and efficient All in all a great place to stay I only wish it had been a summer visit so we could have what looked to be a great pool

Gloria Castro

Especially good was the breakfast that was included and the hostess/server was very pleasant and friendly The front desk personnel was also very niceThe only negative we found was the wall to wall carpeting in the lobby

It needs to be replaced It had a slight odor and the striped pattern made it difficult to walk on when going down the steps

Great location less than a 10 minute drive from Dulles Airport with nearby cinema and good places to eat The staff was welcoming and responsive Rooms are clean, spacious, and well-appointed

The exercise room was decent Their complimentary breakfast was delicious (hot, customized food as well as the continental breakfast type options)

Sasha Whitley

Stayed here for proximity to the airport and the shuttle service TOO BAD the shuttle doesn’t run on weekends The shuttle schedule isn’t even on the website

Happy hour is fine, but no food options besides chips The breakfast here is good Bathroom sink and tub didn’t drain Rooms are very dark and damp Probably wouldn’t stay at this location again

Amy Brewer

The hot tub has been down over one month And the happy hour is just tortilla chips and grapes; no variety, cheap spread Very disappointed and will amend this review barring the owner/ GM decides to pursue fixing the hot tub asap and to spend an extra $50 for a few more snacks

This is the reason why people choose embassy suites: happy hour and a decent resource for relaxation

Nice rooms! The staff are friendly and professional — quite kind, in fact, and were good listeners/seemed to care/treated me with respect Staying here was a wonderful experience The weekend got a bit busy with people in the breakfast area, but that’s how it goes on weekends at places, of course

No real complaints from me Good breakfast choices At my request, I was moved to another room too (I did not like my first neighbors) That’s above and beyond what is expected, in my opinion Very happy to have stayed here It was a bit of solace from an otherwise hectic lifeThe location is convenient for walking too 7-11, Burger King, and an Asian grocery store (among other places) are within walking distance of the hotel!

Phillip Funtulis

The staff at this Fairfax location is very accommodating and friendly Julio, for instance, is very hospitable, remembers former visitors, and treats them with courtesy and kindness He also goes out of his way to accommodate requests

The same can be said for other employees I’ve metThis Hampton Inn also peaceful for being in such a convenient location, near ample amenities and main roads Moreover, they have comfortable beds, and their soaps and other resources are very good If you forget a toothbrush or toothpaste, they have you covered Their continental breakfast isn’t bad either I enjoyed my stay here, and if I need to stay in a hotel in Fairfax, this Hampton Inn is my first choice

Diamond Chavis

The hotel was lovely and the renovations look wonderful Staff during my stay were very helpful and kind I did confuse myself a bit during check in (I didn’t know adding cards doing digital check in didn’t change the reservation card) and I went down to the lobby desk to change the cards

When I saw my check out receipt with the wrong card, the gentleman downstairs at the front desk switched the cards and gave me an updated receipt with the correct information I thought the charge would be cleared off (this was Wednesday) It did yesterday (Thursday 05/26) then I was charged completely on my original card today (Friday 05/27) with my other card still pending When I called today to get this cleared up, I felt the woman I talked to was not listening to my concerns and was dismissive She kept talking over me when I was asking questions when allI wanted to know was how did they manage to charge one card knowing I asked for the other one to be charged instead So now I’m waiting for five to seven business days for my money to come back I liked everything about my stay, but this kind of soured my experienceEdit: Money is back After some reflection, changed from three to four stars Stay was still really great regardless of the few mishaps had

Hotel is decent but they have the absolute worst bed’s of any hotel I’ve slept in the last 10 years Options are full size or king If you’re coming with a family forget about it

In addition the beds are extremely uncomfortable Would not recommend based on the beds alone I’ve stayed in multiple hotels in this area including embassy suites, comfort inn, Marriot, etc and while the appearance of this hotel is great the comfort inn offers a better night sleep

Maria Hussion

Well I wanted to stay here, as we travel through town with our kids I called to make a reservation , when I asked to have an adjoining room so we could have our kids in their own beds we were told they couldn’t guarantee that the rooms would be adjoined I explained the situation and how we needed to know our children would be in a connecting room I was pretty much told “sorry, not sorry

” I was not calling the day of check-in either, I was calling weeks before we wanted to check-in

Young Kim

We are here for just one night as a staycation for Memorial Day weekend using our free Marriott night Our 2 double room is quite spacious with a separate living space Very clean

The main reason we chose this place was for the indoor heated pool We definitely chose the WRONG weekend to come here I guess there’re many guests here for a soccer tournament; the pool was super small with minimum 8-13 middle school boys jumping, splashing, being really rowdy I complained to the front desk and they were very responsive and came down to remedy the situation twice This was not the hotels fault so it’s not going to affect my rating and to be fair it’s not those kids’ fault either but it was just tough for my 3 and 4 yr olds to enjoy relaxing pool time overall it’s going to be a good stay

The staff was fantastic Very helpful and friendlyRoom had coffee, fridge and microwave

Bathroom was nice, we couldn’t find the switch for the exhaust fan Water pressure was great and got hot water right awayBreakfast each day was good and well stockedCookies in the evening in the lobbyI would stay there again

Roy Brown

Spent three nights for a wedding weekend, along with the wedding party and several other guests The room was reliably Hampton Inn comfortable The manager was not only accommodating to the group, he was also quite friendly, speaking whenever he saw us and engaging in conversation whenever we were waiting for someone to come down

He made sure to have our room serviced when we did not check out on Sunday I give extra credit to any hotel with waffles for breakfast The rest of the breakfast fare was pretty typical Two things to know: 1 Parking, while adequate, is mostly not convenient to the main entrance 2 There are no restaurants within walking distance, but the hotel has a list of nearby places

Trent

This was a wonderful place The room was very clean and well organized and had a work area, refrigerator, microwave, etc the room was full sanitized and sealed prior to check in

There were multiple hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel Hot and fresh coffee was available in the lobby 24/7 and there was a very well stocked mini-store for late night munchies There was a full breakfast in the mornings from 6 to 10 There was also free WiFi

The hotel and the room were very clean The bed sheets were spotless and the bed was very comfortable The only thing that I think could have been better is letting the customers know about any allergens in the complimentary breakfast

I asked a staff member about this and she wasn’t sure so she got the manager for me which was great, however, I had to wait a while I think it would be great if the ingredients and allergens were visible for customers to see Other than that I think the hotel and staff were excellent I appreciate that the breakfast dining area was available for customers after breakfast and it was kept very clean I also I appreciate that complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were available in the lobby area I called saying that I would be late and someone was there to do my check-in when I arrived very late in the evening

Was looking for a place to stay near DC at a reasonable rate This place is was fairly reasonable pricing for a quality brand One nice thing is the free parking

The hotels in DC wanted anywhere from $30 to $48 per night!Very good breakfast selection and nice selection of TV channels Beds were a bit stiff for my liking but otherwise was an enjoyable stay

The stay was nice The hotel is clean and we appreciated the ability to grab a coffee from the bar in the mornings The pillows are terrible, mega soft with no medium firmness option like most hotels offer

The bathroom/shower situation is weird Why is the light switch outside of the bathroom & not necessarily close to the strange french doors? Why is there no fan in the bathroom? Why is there no door/shower curtain to the stand-up shower? Water all over the floor & a soaked floor towel The a/c worked great but seems there’s no insulation between rooms because the a/c kicks on and it’s instantly frigid but the second it kicks back off all cool air seems to dissipate Our solution was to keep the temp lower so it would run more often just to combat the still warm air that would instantly envelop our roomUltimately, there wasn’t anything wrong with our stay but next time we’re in town we will likely try a different hotel at the same price point to try our luck for better overall comfort

Stayed only 1 night, flew out the next day but I have to say I was very impressed by this hotel…especially management When there was an error on my bill, the General Manager M Miller emailed me and took care of it immediately and was VERY helpful

The hotel itself is very nice, the room was clean and comfortable and the decor was classy The staff were very pleasant and polite I highly recommend this establishment to anyone needing a great hotel for their stay in the Dulles area!

I just wrote a full description, now here goes again The single Queen room included: sitting area, bath and shower; kitchenette with mini fridge, TV with capability to connect to personal streaming apps; nice armoire for clothing and desk area with chair There was no skimping on the towels

There IA 24/7 access to “mini store” food items, and a Starbucks is in the lobby The location is 10 mins from the airport, with shuttle service! There was no continental breakfast as I thought Wi-Fi is free and easy to access! The hotel and rooms were impeccably clean I had a wonderful night and recommend to others!!

Charge $1999 to cancel even refundable reservationsCanceled the reservation within 5 hours of making it, they had charged credit card immediately and when I called to cancel, call center rep said it would take 5-7 days to refund back to the card Asked to speak to a manager, kept on hold for 15 minutes, decided to cancel online

When canceling online, I find out they have a $1999 for any changes you make to your reservation on reservationscom – including cancellations Ridiculous
