Just stayed at Homes2suites this weekend and had an amazing stay!! The entire place was very clean and the staff were all so nice and helpful no matter who we spoke to The location is perfect because it is close to so many stores and restaurants but yet it somehow still feels very private The breakfast is wonderful and I don’t think we would ever stay anywhere else when we visit Lakeland again

The manager is definitely doing a lot of things right with this place! I have stayed at numerous hotels the past 5 years and this was definitely one of the best stays and at the best rate Thank you!

I loved this hotel The rooms were big and super clean I loved having a full size refrigerator

Our softball team/family stayed here for a local tournament That was 13 families The patio space in front of the hotel was so nice The pool area was full one evening, so we able to be comfortable on the front patio The air conditioning worked well The staff did not seemed bothered by the multiples of young teenagers there There was more than just our team there It was nice they were understanding Great location with tons of food/shopping/entertainment options

Rachel Kimbler Music

We absolutely loved our stay here! We came here from Louisiana trying to relocate and didn’t expect to spend several weeks at a hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly! Especially Zamantha; the girl at the front desk! She was so kind to our family! The room was very clean and contemporary, and the breakfast was exceptional! Thank you Home 2 Suites for making our family feel at home 🤍🏡

As a Hilton employee who works at mainly Hamptons and mid range hotels, this place exceeded my expectations Team members recognized my status (very rare for employees!) Room was cleaned to perfection, and trust me I look It’s like built into me to compare to my own hotels

Breakfast was great and housekeeping was prompt Has a small but well kept pool and very clean gym What made my stay was the excellent front desk service After getting stuck in Lakeland in the pouring rain after a Disney trip, we were checked in quickly, efficiently, and kindly This is a place I would recommend to anyone staying in the Lakeland area

M M

Hotel was quiet, which is very important, good safe location, however breakfast was inedible! Who the heck nowadays eat artificial stinky sausages, powered eggs, hydrogenated butter, instead of real butter, fake peanut butter Food quality is extremely low Even a woman who works at that breakfast place goes to Wendy’s for breakfast across the street, which is not the best choice either, but it shows you that the food in the hotel is just awful

Outdoor pool- they have a nice clean well taken care of outdoor swimming poolFitness room- Clean fitness area with just the essentials Great for a quick workout

Laundry onsite- I love how they have the washer and dryer in the hotel, 2nd floor The washer was $3 and the dryer was $2 Laundry room was clean and convenient I was able to do my laundry while relaxing within the hotel

The customer service was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door Thank you Salem, Allyson, Theresa, Liz and Kristin We were treated like kings and queens

Also, the rooms were clean, and the coffee was piping hot Whatever we needed was granted with great efficiency My husband and I have traveled to at least 28 places in less than 3 years and I have to say Days Inn of Lakeland is at the top of the list! Thank you!

Anita Har

I would NOT recommend it This was an overall horrible experience and took up too much time changing rooms , going to urgent care and moving to a different hotelThe front desk staff was very nice but the manager was not customer friendly

The first room was dirty, had a dirty slept in sheet and a wet bathroom floor We went to get a different room By this time, we were so tired because it was around 9:30/10pm when we checked in The the second room wasn’t super clean either We walked on the floor with bare feet, and we felt the dirt Mom wiped around the edge of bed, which is what the washcloth pic is about That was the dirt from wiping the floor around the bedThe next morning, I woke up with a swollen face and eyes We asked the mngr for the money back because I’m allergic to dust and mold, and something in the room made my face and eyes swell up I had to go to urgent care to get a shot for the issue The manager refused to give us our money back or even give us a half off the rate Since we got a discounted rate for booking for 4 nights and we were checking out after this experience, he made sure to increase the price for that one night And he said there isn’t any mold or dust in the hotel It was a horrible experienceMom and I checked out and stayed across the street at the holiday Inn It was much cleaner but we had to pay about $800 for 3 nights because everyplace was booked and it’s the cleanest hotel that had a room available

Jamie R. McCammon

Overpriced for the quality Got a room on 3rd floor, step off elevator and it was sooo hot, no ac on Get to the room, it’s even hotter

Took about 30 minutes for the ac to cool it down Staff was very friendly Rooms are just ok, not the cleanest but definitely seen worse The beds were comfy Water pressure is so powerful it almost hurts to shower They double charged my card twice for the 100 deposit so I’m still trying to resolve that

We spent 10 days in his area but only 2 nights at this hotel I wish we had spent the entire stay here The room was nicer and cleaner than the 2 other places we stayed and one of those places was a Disney resort

The service here was better and the staff was friendlier The price is as ten times Mrs better than either of the other places They were also very understanding of my disabled grandson If you are ever in this area I highly recommend this hotel

Jodi Walker

The hotel is nicely decorated I love the pull-out shelves and drawers Cleanliness is very important to me, and the room was very clean

The breakfast was very nice with a good selection The hotel staff is very helpfulThis hotel is dog friendly There is a $75 fee When I made the reservation and checked-in I planned on picking up my new puppy the day I checked-out I was asked to get him that night instead I was so happy to know that I was able to stay, and not have to find another place The front desk staff was very helpful when I checked in When I informed another front desk clerk of the addition of my puppy to the reservation, she was able to handle this efficiently

AMART4151

Rooms were extremely humid and smelled like moisture Shower head and air vent in bathroom did not work, and the sink was clogged I was thankful we only had to stay there one night

We paid $215 for a night at a place that is essentially a motel room with decent breakfast I wish I had chosen a different placeHowever, kitchen staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome

We felt so at home and welcome at this hotel! We reserved a King bed suite and we found it to be very nice, very clean, and comfortable The whole facility was really clean and everything was updated

nothing shabby or in poor condition The couch bed (that we put our son on) was extremely comfortable and we all slept well Breakfast was great, good coffee and all the staff were accommodating and kind We stayed two nights, and I was surprised when I came back from a quick errand the 2nd day and found our trash had been taken and the bed remade and fresh pillows! We were visiting relatives and when we come back I’ll be sure to book with them again!

Let me start off and say

they have great customer service! The older gentlemen at the front desk held a friendly conversation with me during the check-in process, the lady in the breakfast area was nice, one of the maids spoke to me while walking to my room Upon walking in my room it smelled really fresh and cleaned pulled back the sheets and it was great to see that this hotel uses mattress protectors that covers the whole mattress Now the room need just a little updating especially the tub but other than that I slept like a baby and felt comfortable in the room This will be my hotel of choice when I have to do a layover in Lakeland

John

I had a great stay Unfortunately I accidentally left a bad review on the 1-10 rating on the satisfaction email link i was sent I called guest relations in attempt to fix it

Hopefully it’s fixed now This was a good hotel Clean and nice beds Apologies for the honest mistake The room was well kept Everything was in working order If the GM has any question on wether my request to fix my review was genuine, hopefully this review can serve as further proof I would stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to others

Michelle Saporito

The rooms were a spacious with separated living area Nice mini fridge and mini-kitchenette counter That being said, the toilet/shower area was very tiny

There was a small amount of mold on the towel bar in the shower-its hidden by the darker tile work, but it is unmistakable The staff was friendly, but for a Sunday morning they could have held their breakfast open a little longer -or at least left the coffee tea station up The location was great for the convention

Justin Wells

Great experience for my family Check in was quick and simple The rooms were clean and the complementary breakfast was perfect for our large family

Robyn and Jules always greeted us with a warm smile and inquired on how our saty was going We haven’t been to a Hyatt in years but we look forward to visiting their locations more often

Glenn Taggart

Appeared clean enough and rooms were a nice size However, I had an issue and needed all new bedding On my way to dinner I stopped at front desk, told them there had been a medical incident and there was blood and fluids on the bedding, and asked them to please redo my bedding

I came back after a long day of meetings to find a bag of sheets hanging on my door I took it down to the front desk where I was told “we don’t have housekeeping” They only work a few hours at 10 AM I paid almost $300 per night to make up my own bed

Not what I expectedWhile the front desk staff are very sweet & helpful and that’s very much appreciated, this hotel is in desperate need of refurbishmentThe first room we were given was extremely dirty

Dirt all over the floor and carpet, stains on the counters in the kitchen and bathroom (and on the tv), etcThe second room while a little better, was far from clean There were dirty spots on the walls and in the kitchen The couch had several strands of hair, as well as lots of dirt on it Walking barefoot on the carpet produced dirty and black feet Ew!The worst was the pull out mattress Stains all over itI asked for clean sheets and received torn yellow ones

Steven Dellorto

Outstanding! Being a pet friendly facility I was wondering how clean the rooms would be, they were immaculate!Beautiful facility, we will be using them again To you pet owners, clean up after your pet! You are not special, clean it up! I had to clean two pair of shoesNot the hotels fault, just selfish lazy pet owners

We got a Cabana room and man did I not regret the extra charge We had our own little patio with seating and direct access to the pool area The beds were very comfy and there was room for at least 6 people to sleep in the room

There was a room safe inside the huge walk-in closet The bar was nice and the bartender was cool The breakfast was the typical “free” hotel breakfast Fills an empty stomach I really enjoyed my stay, but our first night was kinda rough because the A/C stopped working in our room in the middle of the night They moved us to another room the next morning I was told by the front desk that they were going to discount the first night They didn’t, so they lost two stars because of thatUpdated 5/5/22: Thank you Marriott for your prompt response and rectification As I said, other than the A/C issue the hotel was great My review is changed to 5 stars to reflect that

Clayton Culbreth

Our stay here was wonderful The staff was always so great to us The rooms are very nice, updated, and they accommodate us with whatever we need

I encountered two ladies at different times in my stay last night at the desk Never have I met such professional, polite, nicely dressed front desk staff I have worked front desk at Hilton for many years and their service just blew me away

I encountered a small issue with my room, and they were so prompt in moving me to another room no questions asked They were shining exams of what Hilton hospitality should beThe hotel location, decoration and cleanliness was absolutely impeccable The ambiance of the hotel and restaurant was something out of a movie Just perfection The beds were soooo comfortable, bathroom beautiful The parking behind the hotel could use a bit more lighting for safety would be only point of improvementI would stay here again, and again, and again Management is doing an unbelievable job with this property Keep it up!

While it was only a three-star hotel, the accommodations were extremely luxurious I mean the room was just spoiling youBut good left a bit to be desired

The breakfast buffet was decent, nothing to write home about But for the price one would expect much better by way of food This is a consistent weakness of Hampton Inn The bed was exquisitely comfortable though, and the furniture was really nice, and everything was clean and well maintained I recommend it

Hayley Johnson

This is the only location I prefer to go to for my weekend getaways And every time I go, I’m always greeted by Kyle and another amazing employee at the front desk Such positive and kind people

They make it feel so welcoming Plus this location is always clean and clearly the cleaning staff always do such a great job, so shoutout to them Plus when I leave I always catch them in the halls and they always say good morning or how are you and it’s so sweet My all time favorite location ❤️

Patricia S C

The staff welcomed us and the check in process was very smooth The front desk staff was so nice! We got a room on the 5th floor very clean, comfortable The bath was stocked with the necessary toiletries , I was able to brew some coffee in the room

Complimentary breakfast with good options Felt safe all the time On site parking and good location near restaurants and shops

Excellent place to stay Super clean Friendly, helpful, and professional staff

They sell grocery items including beer and wine Delicious breakfast served daily Monday through Wednesday from 5:30-7:00, they have social where party type food is served and each person gets two glasses of beer or two glasses of wine This is also free The rooms are spacious and comfortable The outside is also beautiful and the grounds are well maintained There’s a pool, a fire pit, and a covered patio with gas grills for guests to use We will definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in Lakeland

Joshua Smith

This is the worst Staybridge I’ve ever stayed at The lady that host the social is rude has her grand children sit up there and wait while they watch everyone eat and makes sure to tell them they can’t eat until they get home The breakfast starts 30 minutes after said time

They stop putting breakfast out an hour before it ends The pool is heated year round and feels like warm piss water It’s not close to anything I’m a top tier IHG member and have stayed at staybridges across this country This 1 has been the worst experience yet I travel for work and have never been so upset with the service at a hotel The house keeping never comes around I’ve been here for 3 weeks now and I’m still waiting for them to fill the soaps on the wall in the shower

Edgar Marte

Terrible policy they have at this hotel When I showed up to the hotel they informed me that my reservation was canceled due to an issue with the credit card I used to make the reservation I have no problem with the fact, my issue is that they did not contact me ahead of time to inform me

Front desk staff said they had no way of contacting me but I clearly used my email to make the reservation The hotel was completely sold out so they couldn’t even get me a different room A simple email or call would’ve made me life easier that day Nothing worst after a long drive and long day at a soccer field than coming to your hotel and finding out you don’t have a room for you and your family

This review is 3 months late! We had my rehearsal dinner here for my wedding in April! All the staff did such an amazing job! We had 48 people for the bridal party and family and we all fit relatively well on the outside area The food we had was Spanish style chicken or pork with rice and beans and a salad It was amazing, we even had leftovers to take home! I would highly recommend this location for rehearsal dinner, baby or bridal shower or any type of gathering under 50 people

Only wish is we would’ve had more time to enjoy the venue! Hope to stay at the bed and breakfast eventually!

LeighAnn Mays

It was a fairytale event!!! We used the Sparkman House Luxury Bed & Breakfast for my daughter’s bridal shower The place is incredibly beautiful and very well maintained You feel so important the minute you walk in

The owner/hostess, Theresa, was so helpful in the planning of the shower She gave us advice and helped us put together an incredible and memorable day for my daughter, from the guest list, arrangements of the tables, and an wonderful menu From the minute we walked in Theresa and the chef Serena were so helpful in moving us through the events of the day They were both so attentive to all of my guest Every guest kept telling me what an incredible place this was and that the food was so wonderful too I can’t say enough great things on how wonderful this place was and how happy my daughter was at her shower Thanks you Sparkman House for making my daughter’s bridal shower such a magical event!! If you have an event coming up and you need a great place to hold it, hands down give the Sparkman House a chance, you won’t regret it

Hayley Shields

My husband and I had a Spring wedding at The Sparkman House and it was absolutely magical Theresa made the entire process so easy and she was incredibly accommodating We planned the entire event from North Carolina and Theresa was there every step of the way to help us organize the wedding and work with us on special requests

The rooms for us and our guests were immaculate and the entire home is beautiful The floral arrangements and cake for the ceremony turned out even more stunning than I had hoped! I cannot thank Theresa enough for making my wedding so special and stress free Not to mention how delicious both breakfasts were! If you are looking for a truly 5⭐️ experience book your event at The Sparkman House!

I had made our reservation a month ahead of time but was not told of renovations that were going to be happening My husband has heart problems and Parkinsons so I have to do all the driving After driving in 90+ heat for 6 hours we were looking forward to getting to the hotel and taking a nap We were assigned a room in a hall and next door to rooms that were being worked on All we could hear was hammers beating and loud drills so forget taking a nap The elevator we went up on we actually thought was a service elevator because it had quilts hanging on walls and was full of dust from sheet rock When we stepped out of the elevator we had to walk on plastic and be careful not to trip on extension cords all over the hall We came to Auburndale Florida because we have had 7 deaths in our family in the last two years and because of Covid have not been able to come down to be with the family Finally we got to come for a Memorial service and needed some quiet time after a very emotional day but what did we find hammering and drilling and loud talking In our bathroom when you stepped in the bathtub it felt like it was not attached to the floor it had a cracking noise and would give under your feetwe were afraid to use it The pressure in the toilet was hardly enough to flush * After paying $550 for a 3 night stay (using our points) we will never use this or any Best Western again and we told all of our relatives not to recommend this hotel to anyone else that needed a place to stay

The rate for this hotel stay was too high for just an “ok” room There is nothing exceptional about this place It is clean, but everything is outdated

Housekeeping does an excellent job but the place still looks shabby For what I paid, I expected a better looking place The “bathfitter” tub made crackling noises which was disturbing A constant banging noise (like thumping) kept me awake for hours A chaise lounge in the room was comfortable but leather seat had lots of tears and bare spots I put a towel over it before sitting Careless management I do not plan to stay here again

Awful experience and not sure how this hotel had actually pretty great reviews on Expedia makes me think they are all fake reviewsI just stayed here with my three kids 6,4, and 15m They placed us on the second floor that is being completely remodeled and the dust was absoulutely awful

Our door handle was left with finger marks which shows how much dust is in the air on that floor and the room smelled dusty as well I don’t think anybody should be placed on that floor while they are working on it let alone a family with a baby It’s not good for anybody to breathe that in The tub in the shower must have been cracked underneath because every step you took was such a loud creaking noise Not worth the price paid for the night at allI’m okay with the one star only because the continental breakfast was better than most these days

I really liked the area outside the pool with corn hole game The front desk said the cleaning staff is outsourced which I’m not sure is working well for them I’m glad we were on the first floor since I had to go to the front desk several times to get things the maid forgot to leave

On one of the days, the towels left were half dryed They were folded and on the rack but wet If I came back to the area, I’d probably look around to see what other choices there are Desk staff was friendly

When I walked in to the checkin counter the first thing I noticed was a fresh smell like essential oils The rooms we nice and clean I’m Very picky choosing hotels and I would stay here again

The breakfast was the only thing not up to par, we had to wait over 10 mins because when we came to eat at 8am there was no eggs or bacon We had to tell the lady it was empty before they started cooking more The eggs were not cooked all the way, ended up just going out for breakfast

Good solid 4 stars for the overall cleanliness of the facility and the room I stayed in Very modern and loaded with comforts My mind is too fragile to use those soap and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom,no telling what might be in them

But my bathroom was clean I wasn’t particularly happy with the front desk kids attitude but he dis get me a room and it seems my rate was reasonable compared to what was mentioned online I would most definitely stay here again without question I haven’t had the breakfast yet but I’ll let you know

I really like this hotel They offer free breakfast in the morning They have little soaps, shampoo and conditioner in the room

Not sure if all rooms have the same stuff inside them but the one I was in had a double bed, microwave, mini fridge, smart tv that you can get on Netflix and YouTube with, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, instant coffee marker etc also they offer cribs if you need one One negative is that we heard whoever was next to us but granted it was their kid and I know it’s hard sometimes to keep kids quiet My favorite part is how easy they made everything No extra/hidden fees or holds Just an incidental fee that they communicate at the start I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others

Bistro still closed when most are now open, and they have now decided not to offer water at check in A strange way to try and get cheap Not offered for Titanium Elite, so it was not offered for a status member, either

When I asked they still didn’t provide it I would have rated this 4 or 5 stars until this last few months; used to love this property and am here every month but think I will be switching soon

The room itself was fine – clean – and as advertised The service was good We were disturbed by the people next door arriving back at 1am and talking loudly and drinking in the room and outside the patio until about 4am

We also got a smell of cigarette smoke in the room from them – not sure whether from inside or outside It got quieter but they were still up at 6am Can’t really complain as they were just having fun like we would have done if we were younger, and not doing anything bad There is an IHOP for breakfast which was good

Stayed 2 nights, upon leaving we always remove all sheets and covers and protectors from the bed to help ensure everything is changed out for next guest We found a large stain on the mattress it’s self(keep in mind they have 2-3 sheets and covers and a protective cover over the mattress), I seen house keeping and I showed then the stain she ssid it was fine they knew about it, days later after checking my CC statement I noticed an extra 300 charge so I called the hotel and asked what it was for and that is when she informed me it was due to a large blood stain in the center of the mattress, my kids slept in that and they have the nerve to openly rip us off

I’ve reported them and I’m not done calling and complaining to everyoneSpoken to manager and she stated she was the highest person I could talk to that she was the owner,so after explaining everything to her about how housekeeping told us there would not be a charge because she knew about the stain , the manager said shes charged us anyway I wonder how many people they have charged for this same spot

I found this place last minute after immediately checking out of a roach motel when I discovered a roach crawling across my sleeping infant The lady at the front desk was super nice and understanding, she accommodated me as best she could even though I couldn’t get a first floor room with my three children under three to carry up, not her fault The pool is nice and there’s even a little picnic table with outdoor grills, I really love the porches on the second floor rooms

Honestly if I had to complain about anything it would be that the vending machines don’t take credit cards Edit to add- I overheard part of a conversation approaching the front desk that they were understaffed with housekeeping but you honestly couldn’t tell! It’s not some fancy five star hotel but it is practically immaculate Housekeeping is up and down and back and forth for majority of the business part of the day and the two gentlemen that work here are always busy doing something every time I lay eyes on them In the four days that I’ve been here I’ve never seen a full trash can in the hallway but I have seen them vacuum the hallway carpet with carpet refreshinger every single day, clean doors and windows, little things that have all added up to an over all comfortable and clean stay
