Wow! This is a really great hotel Small property with spacious beautiful and clean rooms The bed was maybe the most comfortable bed my wife and I have ever had the pleasure to sleep upon

The level of hospitality is very high here and so is the attention to detail The welcoming goody bag, with excellent wine and snacks and the morning breakfast are excellent amenities We stayed in a View King room which had a small balcony with unobstructed views of the San Francisco skyline and bay (picture is from our private balcony) Really no worries with booking this hotel, we will be repeat guests next time we choose to visit the Bay Area

Eddie Melvin

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a boutique hotel, not part of an upscale chain I was pleasantly surprised Unlike a large upscale hotel chain, they delivered

Morning breakfast was on-time The room was comfortable We booked the largest suite with the large private balcony, and we liked it a lot Sausolito is not within walking or short biking distance There is no direct ferry connection either This helps to keep the very small business district relatively quiet

Big Mike

Been there a few times I’m kind of local only live a couple hours away Love to stay there when visiting angel island

Can’t beat enjoying a glass of wine on the deck looking at the night lights of sf and the bay Short walk to the ferry Great staff did however miss the wine and cheese hour this trip Loved the breakfast Now the negatives Which aren’t deal breakers I need and got a Ada room Sadly I have a lot of stuff and the end tables just don’t do it Need to be bigger, by the time you place a cpap machine lay out your meds ect I’m placing things on my wheelchair 2nd thing beds are to soft You sink down 4 inches Need to be a little firmer I would have loved the bed being a foot higher with my bum legs But split the difference 6 inches would have been helpful Something for them to consider Like I said not a deal breaker When I’m back that way I will be checking in again

The hotel appears to be nice once inside but that is not the experience I was providedMy problem with the stay was that the slider to the patio, which lead to a common area for anyone to access, was not on the tracks and therefore could not be secured properly Due to the door not being closed properly, the room was exposed to the elements like bugs and debris from the outside

I requested that the situation be addressed in the capacity that they were able to and was told that maintenance was going to stop by to address the situation After a few hours, I inquired in person at the front desk to find out what the best course of action was and the very kind lady stepped aside to personally inquire from the maintenance staff nearby After all of this, there was still no resolution and I checked out 3 nights early and moved to another hotel that valued my safety and securityAs some background, I stay at hotels more often than I am stay at my own residence so please do not take my review lightlyFull Story:Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted with a smiling face and a few kind laughs I was “upgraded” complimentary to a room with “patio access” I was very appreciative and got settled into my room I found a very up to date room with some space to move around in The bathrooms are nice The King bed was very comfortable and cleanThe towels were nice sized but smelled of cleaning agents to a degree that I have never experienced beforeI arrived back to the hotel after my ventures of the day to find leaves and small twigs under the AC unit for the room After noticing these items I found the patio door to be slightly cantered at the bottom away from the building allowing appropriately sized objects to pass through with ease I was able to slide the door with more than average pressure and was concerned that I had just left all of my personal belongings in an unsecured room I investigated the door and found that there was a aftermarket locking mechanism installed but due to the door being off track the lock was rendered useless I sat down at the desk in my room and found small bugs crawling on my belongingsI called up to the desk to have the situation handled and the beginning of this review is how it endedPLEASE do not stay here just because it is a Marriott, there are much better hotels in the area for around the same priceFor management,I am sorry that the situation was not addressed properly by staff and I understand that this experience could have been avoided by a simple room change or someone actually coming out to investigate the situation These options were not offered to me and this is the reason I checked out For future situations like mine, please take into consideration the safety of your guests and their belongings

Paco Gandullia

Great staff!! Very clean and comfy rooms although a bit small (but they made them work) Safe and great price for the area! Good buffet breakfast on weekends, a bit more limited on weekdays ($21 per person) Easy and fast check in/out

Plenty of parkingA bit tricky to walk to places if you wanted to go for a walk (big ramp to go up/down) and to get to shopping or restaurants

Cynthia F

I’ve stayed here a few times and the service is always excellent! They have delicious cookies and a very good breakfast buffet The rooms are clean, however the beds aren’t always the most comfortable It’s located close to lots of food choices and shopping centers in case you forgot to pack your essentials

I would recommend staying here for sure

If you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night, the Gables Inn will do If you are looking for an “experience”, I recommend you look elsewhere!Rooms are badly outdated with tons of deferred maintenance Carpet was pretty badly stained in many areas

Very little in the form of amenities hereThe biggest issue for me was the non-existence of their famed “wine & cheese hour” or “delicious continental breakfast” Apparently, they quietly stopped offering these perks sometime in the past few months I re-checked their website and found no mention of wine hour or breakfast — that being said, it is ALL OVER THE INTERNET that they provide a wine reception in the evening and a nice breakfast in the mornings I know the hotel is not responsible for what others post online, but it seems a bit disingenuous to coast off of old reviews When I asked about breakfast, the lady working acted as if it was a ridiculous question… No explanation, no apology, not even a suggestion of somewhere to eat instead It really left a bad taste in my mouth, and next time I visit Sausalito I will be staying somewhere else

Sarah Emery

If I could, I would have stayed longer The Gables is set in the perfect location of town (walkability score 10/10) The staff are so accommodating and delightful

We stayed in the Magnolia Room – more than enough space Equipped a king bed, fireplace, tub with spa jets and a balcony with a beautiful view of the city Do yourself a favor and make a reso’ here

Janna Smith

I just found this place to be, okay I didn’t the staff to be overly friendly or supportive, and I personally did not find this place to be worth the price you pay I have found other places to be much more thoughtful and thorough about thinking through many of small details that make a stay pleasant/meaningful

For instance, I arrived to the room and it was set to 78 degrees, which was way too hot for my taste There was no way to cool the room down, given that there was no AC unit and if you opened the window it was next to a very loud outside fan of some kind There was also poor signage to the room I had, and no staff available for support upon arrival (because I arrived somewhat later in the evening around 8:45 pm)I think there could many improvements to make this place worth the stay and price

Diana Newkirk

Quirky and historic with a great staff in a central location Overall, our stay was comfortable but expectations need to be managed The building is historic (elevator is over 100 yrs old, we were told) and has a unique character and charm

However, when dealing with older buildings some inconveniences should be expected The window in our room had a broken lock and didn’t close all the way which meant it got very cold at night The heater in the room didn’t work but the space heater they provided worked very well to compensate The main bed in the room was very comfortable The pull out bed for our 3rd person was really rickety, flimsy and not comfortable I think they offer roll away cots for an additional charge, so may be better to do that The rooms were spacious but felt best for a couple and not friends traveling together The hotel felt safe but as a female, I generally appreciate some sort of bolt or lock on the inside of my door, which is not available here The lock that is available is a little push button that seemed easy to open in my opinion The hot breakfast and endlessly available coffee/ tea was very nice and the staff are all very warm and friendly

Angela Edmond

Very cool old hotel Rooms are beautiful and the staff wonderful! Also there is a very nice wine reception in the afternoon evening And in the morning there is a free breakfast included which had fantastic croissants, danishes and cinnamon rolls

They were so good they must have been from a local bakery I’m guessing There was also fruit and yogurt parfaits Plus juice, coffee and nice variety of Teas Really a fantastic stay We met people that were cruise ship passengers and they really enjoyed their stay also

Ben Garcia

This is a lovely, European-style hotel The furnishings and finishes are a bit scuffed with wear, but it is immaculately maintained and the very generous breakfast is served in a lovely parlor with working fireplace The staff were so kind and hard-working

The value is absolutely there We stayed for 4 nights and came to really love being there after a bit of initial surprise at the quirks If you are interested in staying in the neighborhood, I recommend it unreservedly We did not love the neighborhood as all the restaurants close by 9 and there were no outdoor cafes or places to hang out outdoors I would give the hotel five stars if it were updated Oh, and free soft drinks in the mini fridge and coffee and tea all day in the parlor

Overall a pretty solid Marriott right off of the wharf in San FranStayed here for just one Day/night before flying out and had a good experienceBest thing about this Marriott is its location

The hotel is in a prime stop just three blocks off the wharf and only a few blocks away from some great restaurants/barsThe hotel as a whole is very modern and has a very cool outdoor courtyard with table games, sectionals, and gas firepits My only complaint with this is they close the courtyard at 9pm I get not having it open all night but 9pm is pretty earlyRooms are pretty basic but the beds are comfy and so are the pillowsOverall not a bad spot to stay at

Paola Cooper

Fun place to stay while visiting for a quick weekend LOCATION alone would give this hotel a 5/5 Super short walk to all the sight seeing, restaurants and entertainment

The staff was very friendly and helpful They helped me use the laundry facility after hours without a problem The flavored waters and fun treats were fun to come to after a day of sight seeing Rooms were modern and clean I would stay here again

Brittany Carranza

I stayed here for the weekend with my little sister I honestly loved this hotel The room was clean and looked nice

The bathroom had a slider door, but the shower head was really nice and at a good height above my head (I’m 5’9) The bed was comfy and the pillows fluffy The only downside to the room was that it was on the street side so you could hear some noises from the street It didn’t bother us and we fell asleep easily However the hotel gives you complimentary earplugs and face masks! There is complimentary flavored water in the lobby also which is nice They have a sitting area with games, and a laundry as wellThe valet was a little annoying, as they only have one or two people working so sometimes there is a wait to get your vehicle But there is also self parking if you don’t want to use valetLocation is amazing It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the fisherman’s wharf It’s about a 10 min walk to the cable car There’s a Walgreens across the street It’s a great locationI took a video instead of pictures but I tried to screenshot some of the video to upload They’re a little blurry

Stood here for a night and the hotel was very beautiful well kept Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable Room was beautiful and very clean wasn’t big but we didn’t need much space

The bed was extremely comfortable we slept so well My only complaint is the rooms are not sound proof so you can hear when people are coming in and out and and some sounds around you But to be honest it wasn’t so bad, and that was during the day at night it was completely quiet That was really my only complaint Would i stay here again yes i would

Vanessa Keys

I had a great time in San Francisco staying at the Clift Royal Sonesta! The lobby and rooms are clean, elevators pretty quick, decorated nicely! We stayed in the junior suite and it was spacious and got plenty of light The staff was also always friendly and made every effort to make us comfortableI am giving 4/5 stars for the following reasons: the walls are very thin so even normal noise from adjacent rooms is easily heard, the water pressure in the shower is terrible, and in order to have housekeeping clean/refresh towels you have to make a request each day- it isn’t automatic

That said, I would definitely stay here again if I want to be in the Union Square vicinity, and would recommend to others as well!

Q. Wade Billings

This review will be a little bit of a journey, so please hang with meI travel quite a bit for business, and in the last three weeks, I have been a guest at no less than five hotels throughout the globeThe Clift Royal has been a stand out due to its clean and well appointed room, friendly and professional staff, and the upscale and stylish decor

This would have been the end of my review had it not been for an experience I had one morning while in the lobbyI was sitting at one of their table booths in the lobby and a person experiencing homelessness came in and sat down at a table across the room Almost immediately a staff member came over and told this person that they had to leaveThe person, I believe them to be female, appeared to be experiencing mental health challenges and began to get loud and vulgar with their languageThe staff member, who appeared to be agitate by the presence of this person, began to match the person’s volume and ask them to be quiet as to not scare the customersThis went on for a few minutes until another staff member arrived and escorted the person off of the premisesHere is why I mention this, homelessness is an issue across our country, and it is especially prevalent in San Francisco I can only imagine how challenging it must be to keep one’s cool when communicating with a person who is in an apparent altered stateMy concern is that it is easy to forget that this is a person who deserves to be treated with empathy and respect, which was not what I observed this morningI hope that the management of the Clift Royal reads this message in the spirit in which it is offered, which is not to criticize, but to informFurthermore; I would encourage management to provide the staff with deescalation and empathy training, as it was not a great look for the brand and as a customer who has choices in where to stay, I would ask that they do better

Good location, clean, quick and easy check in/out I can see that this would be a nice spot for company retreat or off-site meetings Shower water pressure is one of the worst I’ve experienced – no pressure at all, reminds me of some of the cheap hotels in 3rd world countries

House keeping needs to be requested, which is understandable given current situation but they didn’t provide bottle water

Super Girl

I love everything about the Tiburon lodge and while the rooms are not cheap every single stay has been absolutely wonderful It has a beautiful seaside feel to it with low pile indoor outdoor carpeting, outdoor pool hot tub and super comfy beds and they pet friendly!! Over the years they have welcomed both of my big dogs to come stay with me The Tiburon tavern has such amazing food and sometimes live music and a neat outdoor diningarea

For me coming from a rural area Tiburon itself is an oasis of peaceful calm in the middle of the crazy busy congested Bay area, and that alone is worth the price of admission One time we were there over Christmas and they had a very soulful hometown kind of sing-along caroling tree lighting event downtown that was cool Now you may like to always pick something different to do but Im the sort of person that likes doing what is familiar and only feel happy if I get to stay at the Tiburon Lodge whenever I travel to the San Francisco Bay area and I recommend all my friends stay there too I have so many great memories there over the years and if you have time you can go walk along the bay or go visit The hippy swinging tree on the top of Tiburon, we’ve also hopped on the ferry right there and gone over to Angel Island for a day it’s a great hub point for different activities

We have been traveling in the West for a week and this has been our favorite hotel The location was perfect for the town of Mill Valley allowing us to walk to town for coffee and dinner Additionally, it was just about 15-20 mins from Muir Woods

The staff both checking in and the breakfast crew were very welcoming and kind The rooms were quite comfortable and had a wonderful bath The free breakfast of salmon, bagels, oatmeal and coffee was the best we had We look forward to coming back on our next visitRecommend for great location, amenities, staff, and value Great choice for all

Amazing staff here Brian/Bryan was awesome He constantly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, help us get settled, and ensure our stay was perfect

We had a wedding nearby, and therefore occupied about 10 rooms The Mill Valley Inn team made us feel welcome, and kept us cozy and comfortable Cleaning was timely, and thorough Continental breakfast each morning was solid The grounds are beautiful; with amazing trees, and outdoor spaces We utilized the beautiful wood bridge in the Inn for our wedding rehearsal 5 min walk to Old Mill Park, and about 5-8 minutes to the town center, outdoor art club, and the local grocery store Beds were very comfortable; high thread count sheets, foam and feather pillows The rooms varied, but most all had an amazing bathtub The tub was deep, and wide Cozy tub fitting for two Rooms were spacious There are some rooms that have porches that face the stairwell; with the elevator out, there was some traffic on the stairs Parking lot is a bit tight; there are two (one near the check in, and one near the rooms) Even though parking was tight, never had issues parking (just took a bit to slide into some spots) Staff was always helpful in navigating parking I cannot say enough good things about Brian/Bryan He is the man! Staff also helped us with reservations, printing, and airport transport Loved our time, and hope to be back soon!

Xochitl Gonzalez

The Inn is dog friendly and has places nearby for the dogs to walk There are also plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance There are some rooms that are on ground level and allow easy access to the outdoors, which is helpful for us because our dogs are getting on in years

The rooms are immaculately clean One of the best features is their pillows! I’m going to ask what brand they are because I want to get some for my own house

PROSFriendly, accommodating staff Best Western is one of the few corporate hotels who is making a real effort to communicate consistently with their customers They are, from my experience, responsive and responsible

Everyone working at this hotel is to be commended for a job well done, including the manager They keep the place up, as best they can, and are truly hospitable Five stars hereThe pool is terrific, though understandably busy on summer weekends The breakfast has plenty of options and the people working in the breakfast room are saints The common areas and rooms (we had two) are kept clean and tidy Not easy as this is a large, five acre compound with lots of rooms It’s also an older property and all that goes with itCONSIf you are disabled, keep readingIn spite of offering #ADA rooms, this is likely not the hotel for you The two #ADA rooms we booked were at the very back of the hotel (Room 134 and 135) as far from the pool and breakfast room as possible Parking for the rooms is also some distance from the actual rooms themselves and requires you to traverse along narrow corridors, past many rooms opening directly onto your path (and onto you, if you happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time) In front of the so-called #ADA rooms, there are three very steep steps (photos attached) which could be dangerous for disabled persons and guide dogsAdditionally, the floors in the two rooms mentioned here are uneven, with a jolting hump between the area with the shower and toilet, leading to the outer sink This is a trip hazard for anyone with mobility issues The rooms were clearly not designed for disabled people There was no place for a wheelchair, the furniture was arranged the same way as all the other rooms I saw And while I noticed some rooms had attractive, wood or lino flooring, our rooms had badly stained carpet no amount cleaning can saveThe only thing that made the rooms suitable for some disabled people is the roll-in shower Alas, a roll-in shower alone does not make a hotel room fit the disabled I wish more hotels understood this

Had a pleasant 2 night stay The facility is dated but kept very clean Beds were cozy and front lobby is beautiful

Hotel looks like a converted apartment complex Breakfast was in a building that wasn’t super convenient from our room location, and we ended up not eating on site Those with courtyard rooms would be closer to the breakfast area Front staff were kind and we felt very safe Hotel is located across the street from a shopping center with restaurants and stores including grocery It is right off the highway but we did not hear any noise from cars Easy drive to the city for sure We would stay there again if in the area

Dyanna Volek

Wow! This Best Western exceeded all our expectations We stayed here under a wedding block, and I was impressed by the amenities The pool is huge and there are two hot tubs

There are rocking lounge chairs near your room so you can look out on to the expansive courtyard with picnic tables and a basketball court They even took over the restaurant next to the them for the complimentary breakfast so there is plenty of space for large partiesThe rooms were typical for a Best Western but everything else was not I took one star off because the staff were pretty grumpy when we asked if we could do an early check-in

Easily located just off 101 this hotel provides a perfect accommodations for travel and play The breakfast buffet was quite nice Waffles, bagel, toppings, yogurt, fruit and hot beverages

The pool patio is large and immaculate We used the site for wedding preparation For a nominal fee they set up a small conference room for the bridal party hair and makeup Staff were plentiful and friendly

I actually enjoyed my stay I felt comfortable The beds were soft

Room was clean I’m not use to paying this much for a decent place compared to prices in Texas, but it is California, right? My only complaint would be the scratchy bath towels! Sheesh Those things are a little rough! Other than that, decent stay If I come back to SF, I’ll definitely consider staying here again

This property is unsafe and that is the only reason for the low rating It is modern, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, TV station options are limited, Internet speed is decent, but the property is not safe and I will not stay there again I certainly would not want my wife or daughter to stay there alone

The first night there, I was waken by a woman’s screams from the parking lot When I looked out the window, there were three police cars in the parking lot with lights flashing and a homeless woman screaming at the officersApparently, she came onto the property and started smashing out windows of multiple vehicles She told law enforcement she was “looking for her dog” She obviously had other issues In talking with other guests, they were told this was not the first such issue the hotel had They had a security guard on the property, but with multiple windows smashed, security was clearly inadequate

Seconding the reviews of others, this area is unsafe There’s nothing wrong with the hotel itself, rooms are clean and staff seems kind and attentive During my stay I noticed a couple in the stairwell as I was leaving

My door had failed to latch in the past so when I hit the bottom of the stairs I decided to go double check it By the time I was back up the couple was in my room Once I unlocked the door they pushed past me and bolted from the building, but I was pretty shaken I told the front desk and they immediately did a sweep of the place, but I would not recommend anyone stay here

Lucas Reyes

Had the worst experience here Came for a 3 night stay before a wedding and didn’t even make it too the ceremony after a horrible customer service interaction The only plus to this hotel is that it is right next to McDonald’s and a Safeway

$1300 for avacado toast at their “Bistro” and Novato is far from LA for prices like that

Stayed in this hotel for 2 days, I really liked it Perfect cleanliness everywhere! service is great! Also delicious and rich breakfasts 🙂👍 The rooms have everything you need! The only thing I would like to improve is to put small refrigerators in the rooms I also really liked the shower in the room! It’s important for me! The water pressure is great and the water is hot! Respect! The hotel is in a very beautiful place

There is a swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness room, office and much more! Tea and coffee available all the time! I really liked it! Thanks a lot! Definitely recommend!💪🙂👍

The room was clean and I have cute little decks but the deck I had had hoses on it The walls were really thin the curtains didn’t want to shut all the way The water is hot and clean the rooms are nice

The restaurant has very little food options and they’re expensive When I come to stay at a Holiday inn I don’t expect to hear my neighbors going on so clearly through the walls And they weren’t even being that loud it was just really easy to hear the slightest sound

Good hotel with friendly staff for the most part Julie is very nice and new manager is good as well Breakfast is better than most continental breakfast’s

They have eggs omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and the traditional bread, bagels, muffins, etc The Grab N Go breakfast sandwiches are available as well, which are killer! Water bottles by the front desk are $1 For Gold members+ they will give you a free water upon check-in Otherwise, they do have a nice water bottle refilling station with a sensor near the fitness center that’s freeFloodwater restaurant is right next door which is nice and has good food with a cool barRooms are recently renovated which is nice but I’ve noticed some minor things in a few rooms that need to be fixed For example, toilet paper holder is wobbly, light switch on the closet is loose, chips/dent in furniture (which is sad since it’s so new) Mostly quiet although the walls are thin and you can hear folks outside down the hall Sometimes you can hear other doors slam as they are very loud and hollowOverall, it’s a good, clean hotel I have stayed here about 14 nights throughout the past 2 years and 90-95% of my visits have been pleasant

Good staff, good amenities, nothing oversold or undersold here A solid three star hotel with four star service and cleaningI do want to say, prior to staying here, I was scouting this hotel like mad on various travel sites

It seems to automatically “sell out” if the price is below a certain number Both Hopper and Priceline Express both refused to sell the room to me when I applied a coupon Pretty interesting why, neither explained their reasoningBathroom toilet seat and bathtub were not cleaned, which is a major sanitary issue considering fungi are a thing in the naturally moist Fisherman’s WharfIt’s a shame the “Wharf District amenity fee” (a trick many SF hotels use to get more money out of you, regardless of where you book) couldn’t be waived However they gave me a free upgrade to a “junior suite” because I booked direct which was super cool If you get a suite you are more likely to get a partial bay view, which is pretty nice The streetcar runs right underneath you and you can hear it from 7am to 12amFree boarding pass printable on the computer Free printing on the computer next to it Free breakfast, which was nothing to write home about, but a way to make up for the extra $20 they took Finally a fitness center, which some may like They both require vaccination in line with CA law (which holds no negative connotation on my rating)

Excellent service, quality, and cleanliness Breakfasts have good quality and variety; nothing special for a free hotel breakfast but kept stocked and made well Plenty of tables, enough to accommodate rush hour

Employees are warming and ready to help Elevator’s a tad slow but not terrible Complimentary tea and coffee readily available most of the time Confident with cleanliness, enough to strut around barefoot in the room

David Johnson

Great customer service all the way around Jose helped my wife juggle getting the breakfast for our 3 kids House clean was excellent and 100% on their A game

The man running the front desk extremely polite and helpful The parking always had the car ready We stayed an extra night Great location, plenty to do for the kids and family I’ve stayed at 5 stars with not near the service My only hesitation in this review is increasing demand for an exceptional place, but exceptional management should be acknowledged and rewarded

Great location Fun lobby Great outdoor courtyard, including several fire pits and a unique form of ping pong in a tube — very fun! Fun game area inside with pool tables, ping pong, a selection of board games, TVs, etc – plenty of kids clearly loving it

Room was basic but niceUnexpectedly hard to sleep in the mornings with the sea lions on Fisherman’s Wharf constantly making a ruckus — but that’s just part of the location

Jose Alvarez

Overall my stay here has been disappointing I paid close to 300 dollars for a room without a working refrigerator This place also charges a 35 dollar ammendities fee

I contacted the front desk to which the receptionist was quick to send someone with a replacement By the time someone came in with a fridge the employee checked the current fridge and said it was still good To add a dash of condescension he stated “hotel fridges aren’t like home fridges” he then left in less than a minute and did not switch the fridge I have been to multiple hotels before so I know how “hotel fridges function” Fast forward 3 hours later my items in my fridge are still room temp At this point I have decided it’s not worth my time to pursue this further I will never return to this hotel and I recommended anyone considering coming here also consider that staff may be short and condescending To top things off the restroom exhaust fan stopped working mid day I assume at one point this place was a quality hotel For 300 dollars I expect a hospitality to match

Justin Perreault

Excellent location to use public transit and see fisherman’s wharf Lobby was fun and playfulRoom was missing a fridge, mentioned this to the front desk and was told it was because we booked through a third party site

Showed our reservation, and was given more attitude and told the fridges are just for the higher end rooms Carpet was coming up in the room and sink didn’t drainNot afraid to pay but i do expect a bit better treatment**In response to Tony, just to clarify, we booked directly through Hotel Zephyr’s website, and the confirmation listed a fridge as an in room amenity When this was shown to your staff, the attendant replied that only high end rooms have fridges We enjoyed SF, but felt the impression has already been made unfortunately

Location is very convenient Staff is super friendly and always helping outFew details missed during our stay, we checked in and we were given an occupied room

Issues with the hot water and the second day we didn’t have house keeping serviceOverall facilities are in good conditions

ALVARO ESTEBAN

Our room was never cleaned When we called the front desk to ask them if they could clean our room (as we were told when we checked in) they were very rude and kept telling us they would not clean it After some time, they told us it was possible to have it cleaned

When we came back after 9 hours it still had not been cleaned We called the front desk and they told us that there was nothing they could doThe other important thing is the parking We spoke with two people, one was really nice but the other one was extremely rude and made us pay extra for the parking without giving an explanationThe room was nice but too expensive and as I said before, the service was really badI do not recommend staying at this hotel

Graham Wood

The rooms at this hotel are ok, but the carpet is old and dirty There is no coffee in the rooms, and you’d have to purchase it for $5 at the restaurant The place is happy to charge $30/day for amenities, but I stayed for 8 nights and my room was cleaned once and aside from wifi and a fitness room there was nothing

There are plenty of better options in San Francisco, with cleaner/nicer rooms at a much better price point I would definitely recommend staying elsewhere
