Stayed in March 2022 A very nice hotel, the room was quite comfortable I did worry a bit about the old furniture in the room, if the couches and chair would be sturdy enough, but they worked well

The bathroom was very large and accessible The view of the tracks was nice, I just wish Amtrak passed through while I was in the room The restaurant had good food and good drinks, and the outside deck was great for relaxing with a mask off If you have dog allergies, find a different hotel It is extremely pet friendly As a historic hotel, the ventilation is not the best so the dander and allergens lingered in the room and the hallways and the lobby I probably would not return unless I can find a stronger antihistamine

The restaurant is absolutely divine, the best steak and sides for an amazing price!! Not a fan of the thres leches cake but the taro ice cream was top tier My drink with absinthe had glitter in it!! It was beautiful but the drink itself was not my favorite Loved the boutique liquor shoppe

Very unique options Tried a Japanese plum sipping whiskey, very different; not the biggest whiskey fan but hey it was my birthday and I was living a little

This place is amazing! The rooms are quiet and comfortable I have a memory foam bed at home high dollar one These beds make me want to sleep in

The staff treat us very well, and the friendliest staff aroundThe bar and restaurant are top tier with very reasonable prices and a great atmosphere Than we can get into the history of this place Such as the rRough Riders had their reunions here A great place to stay Highly recommend checking it out even if you don’t stay the night here Grab a beer get some food or even go to the bottle shop and check out their top shelf bottles

I would not even give one star, but I have to check at least oneI had called to make a payment on my storage unit and was told I was current Was communicated that if I made a payment, it would push me to January 2021

I stated that I would get my one piece of furniture out in December In December, I was charged with liens, lawyer’s fees and anything else this business could charge me for Have been trying to save the life of my special needs kid for the last 15 years I asked for some of the fees to be removed, and I would make a payment since I was totally shocked that I owed anything based on recent feedback from this business The owner said no because I had been late 6 times Do you think I am focused on this unit versus saving my only child’s life? I communicated that two people on my husband’s side had died of COVID and 4 people on my side had the illness The owner said pay out including all fees What lack of compassion!!!!!!! This is 12/23/20 So much for the Christmas spirit and human compassion Mr Owner, you just don’t know what you life entails and you may need compassion yourself one day I am moving out ASAP and will NEVER in my life even look towards the direction of this business If you want to do business with a compassionate business owner, run from this business The treatment I felt was inhumane It’s all about the money That is all this business cares about What a pity for society He will not get another cent from me

We love to stay in motels like The Thunderbird where we don’t have to walk through lobbies, use elevators, etc We seek out these motels built in an earlier time— and take our luggage straight into the room

where we can drive right in front of our roomThey have completely updated this cute place, kept it clean, and provided a sparkling bathroom, and great bed! And it is easy for dog-friendly owners too! We will definitely stay at The Thunderbird on our next trip through NM We also look for local places, not chains, so we can support the local economy too

Gross! Filthy rooms! Don’t stay here I was promised two adjoining rooms as I was traveling with my elderly parents (96 and 91) At first they put me in two rooms upstairs no elevator

Then they separated us, one room up stairs one down stairs First night I had to clean my own room, change my own linens Second night they took the entire garbage cans and dirty linen, but did not make the beds, day three after resorting to scolding, they cleaned the room, but didn’t leave towels The carpet was wet! When asked to speak to the general manager, the front desk manager said she was not available and wouldn’t give me her name I dropped $1000 for two rooms in this filth I was not the only complaining I never even asked for a discount or refund They didn’t offer to make it right I figure if people see this post and all the other social media post, they will lose more than $1000 This filth is unacceptable

Richard Blass

Small room You get what you pay for Biggest gripe is that even though they advertised free breakfast , all they offered were prepackaged blueberry muffins

No oatmeal or cereal No hot food And bring your own toilet paper There’s is really just KleenexThe Comfort Inn just down the street is a much better value

Erin Hamaker

Save your money!! We checked in and immediately checked out! I have never left a hotel without staying the night, I’m not super picky The room was certainly not worth the $160 we paid, then were refused a refund The beds had hair and crumbs on them, the microwave had melted food inside that hadn’t been wiped up

The fridge wasn’t clean inside There were bugs in the window sill, and mold in the bathroom Absolutely disgusting!

This is the perfect hotel for a person who has to get up and work in the morning It was nice and cozy, clean, friendly, and quiet! After 10:00 pm

, there was no noise and I was able to get up in the morning and go to workThey had breakfast downstairs that had a selection like boiled eggs muffins etc The muffins were delicious and seem like they’re from a professional bakeryIn the evening, they have a homemade soup in the kitchenThis is not one of those Hilton fancy hotels It is more of a cozy friendly and quiet hotel It was exactly what I needed!

Best Super 8 I have ever stayed in! Everything was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we were served complimentary supper and breakfast and the price for the room was actually reasonable and not over inflated “because of covid” like all the other hotels I wish the owner/manager of this Super 8, ran all Super 8’s I would never stay anywhere else

Thats how impressed we were with this establishment!

The room was nice and clean, the lady who we booked the room with at 2am was not very bright and didn’t seem to know what she was doing But what saved it, was Debbie who was running breakfast She was the sweetest lady

My husband and baby were up in the room so I went to get breakfast and bring it back Debbie saw me loading two full plates and got me a tray so that I didn’t have to struggle She also saw that the sausage patties were almost out (it was 9:50) but she ran to get me some and said “it’s not breakfast without some sausage patties!” Seriously, best customer service ever We will definitely stay here again because of Debbie

I traveled to Las Vegas for the funeral of a close relative The staff at this hotel made my trip so much more pleasant than it could have been From Isiah who booked my room via telephone to Marissa who checked me in and out, they were just fabulous

The room was very comfortable and well appointed, breakfast was pleasant and tasty, and the bed was exactly what was needed at the end of the day Kudos to this hotel and its staff for a job well done!

David Jones

Very friendly and helpful staff Great breakfast The lobby was very clean and welcoming

They are pet friendly but not all rooms are pet friendly I travel a lot for work with my dog Ava by my side I made a reservation and requested King Suite as I was here for 3 nights I needed some extra room to work When I checked in I got a two queen basic room I had two kitchen like table with kitchen like chairs in poor shape An office chair would have been ideal The first poor chair when I tried to move the arm rest popped off The luggage stand was broken The bath towels were ragged and not soft The shower head was horrible Needs to be replaced My room was serviced after the first night but they did not empty the trash can They did not service after the 2nd night The room was clean and the hotel was peaceful I would recommend they change out old worn-out furniture and showerheads Also maybe invest in new towels They should at least have more pet-friendly rooms like King Suites They charge a 20 a night pet fee, so they should offer more pet-friendly rooms Overall not a bad place I did enjoy my stay

This place is so amazing! We love to stay in historic hotels and this one describing itself as “The Belle of the Southwest,” did not disappoint! We arrived on a wintery evening and upon entering, the warmth of the place just fills you up It was a holiday, January 1st and the restaurant and bar were bustling with holiday travelers and the Christmas decorations were gorgeous The staff A+

We were starving after a treacherous drive on snowy roads during a snowstorm and the waiters took care of our every need Our room was gorgeous and huge, completely unexpected especially since we had booked a budget non-plaza view room Our room was beautifully flooded with natural light, and our bed although we were warned it was a true full size was comfy and warm The bathroom was updated and sparkly clean I loved the details of all the antique furniture and the various bookshelves throughout the halls where you could pick a book to read! Also we read that local artisans often design the furnishings throughout the hotel The windows must have been 14 feet, truly a sight to see! Couldn’t recommend this place more highly Enjoy your stay and welcome a part of history into your experience

The reason for the 5 stars is the customer service we received from Melissa at the hotel It is uncommon these days to get good customer service and I would give her a 10 if that was an option! Thank you Melissa for mailing my daughters favorite stuffed animal that she left there That MADE her day! Other than that the rooms were clean and nice

This is mainly to show my appreciation to MelissaCheers~

Holiday Inn Express Las Vegas, NM charged me twice for the same reservation I called twice and left a message for the manager to call me back to resolve the billing issue I was never contacted

On my third attempt I made contact with the manager She was unable to come to a solution of the duplicate charge even after I provided her with a screenshot of two charges of equal amount on the same day Capitol One Fraud Department resolved the issue as a fraudulent charge If you stay here and have a billing issue, I hope you have better luck and receive more professional support resolving the issue I travel 100+ days a year for business and this is the first time I have been unable to resolve a billing issue with the hotel staff Thankful for Capitol One Fraud department
