Room was a nice size Bathroom was sizeable though the sink was outside in the room Shower head had 2 settings which was nice with good pressure and fast hot water

The fridge in the room was a good size so was good for storage The bed was soft and small bit firm so we slept comfortably The staff was friendly The breakfast had variety I’d definitely stay again!

Julian Stirrat

They didn’t clean the rooms while we were out, there’s almost nothing to watch on TV Some channels were frozen, some had two languages at once, and some were even blind people channels where they narrated what was happening Also, the was very bumpy and loud; I did not feel safe riding it

The best part was the beds and the proximity to many attractions including Kennywood

James Paddock

Worst hotel I have stay in this year Cold water was shut off to both the shower and the sink Turn down the cold water for the sink but couldn’t find the turn on for the shower

The sink stopper wouldn’t work The shower stopper wouldn’t work The fridge was frozen up And if you’re a big person you don’t fit on the toilet Whoever’s doing your remodel is a hack and you should fire them And all I got was a thanks for letting me know all these problems were there Will never stay here again

Very nice hotel! The staff is extremely friendly – one of the nicest hotel staff I’ve ever met The rooms were very clean and nice Additionally, there was complimentary bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner

The rooms also felt very safe Each room had a lock safe to put valuables Additionally, the door had its primary lock, a dead bolt, and another lock as well Overall, great staff, lovely rooms, and very safe

Kylie Tokar

Lovely hotel with good views, simple but adequate accommodations, and a super accessible location It’s worth booking the parking package because the valet employees are super nice/prompt & parking is otherwise pretty tough My only major qualm was that we didn’t receive housekeeping due to the hotel’s COVID protocols, but none of the staff wore masks (a bit contradictory)

Ken Yeh

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any place They compare hundreds of booking websites and usually will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in the area

I’ve been coming here for a very long time If you stay for a few days you for sure won’t be disappointedMy partner and I booked a night in this hotel last minute just as an escape from our hectic lives The rate was good and the room was very nice As someone who spent many years in hospitality I was impressed with the cleanliness and the staff The bed was super comfy and the shower was huuuuuge I would definitely stay here again

Great location Very quiet Loved how close access to the Parkway 376 East, and also the three rivers heritage trail

I ran that trail several times, it’s amazing Good shops and restaurants across the Hot Metal Bridge on the south side But the service at this hotel was terrible No room service available at all If you needed anything you had to go to the front desk to get it Room cleaned? Not without 24 hour notice And often the front desk would report they couldn’t do anything because, “they were understaffed and the only staff in the building” yet it was early evening Strange No continental breakfast, although it stated that on the website If you wanted breakfast it was $16 a person for a buffet I only ever saw one customer in there For good reason I rarely give bad reviews, but this was not a fun stay overall and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone Parking was $20 extra per night And you had to pay that, there’s no place else to park at all The staff just wasn’t interested in even attempting to be polite I know things are bad in a post COVID economy and there are help wanted signs everywhere in Pittsburgh, but a smile is free and easy Disappointed

Liljana Cvetkovska

Worth booking this hotel even though it is close by to a busy road Very pleasantly surprised by the interior and the history pieces in the lobby area, nice back patio with large gas fire pit and sitting sectionals On the 6th level, there is another larger patio /terrace with tables and chairs with a nice view

The hotel room we stayed in was very nice too This hotel provides a free shuttle within a three mile radius; best thing ever not to worry about driving around and looking for parking Last but mot least, it is a dog friendly hotel

R Cameo

The metalworks theme is charmingly done, along with the friendly staff and convenient location The rooms were clean and modern, if a bit worn around the edges Their Dog friendly policy was much appreciated, and our stay went without incident

Provided soaps and sundries are truly for emergencies only I would like to see an outdoor ashtray for staff It would help clean up the side entrance from the parking lot

A huge shout out to this Holiday Inn Express location We came to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play the Cubs and this location was perfect As well, the room was spotless and the beds so comfortable

The breakfast was wonderful as well Most importantly, every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful Given the fact that they struggle like everyone else with staffing shortages, the friendliness we experienced did not go unnoticed Highly recommend

Larry Howard

It’s disappointing to pay $200 a night for such a low quality experienceThe desk staff was not welcoming at check in and acted like we were bothering themWe had used expedia to book and the staff claimed they could not look up reservation details easily

Booked a king room and was given a room with 2 queensOverall, the staff had a rude demeanor and unpleasant attitude about their jobThe mattresses are terrible I’ve slept on more comfortable beds at motelsThe smoke detector flashes every 2 seconds in the roomall night longAlso, no trash can in the bathroomVery disappointing experience to say the least We won’t be Holiday Inn Express customers again unless there are no other options

Lorna Killam

Holiday Inn Express is a go to for us when traveling Price, service, rooms and amenities are consistently great But, I have to give a particular shout out to the staff at the Pittsburgh North Shore location, especially the food service staff who get the breakfast prepared

They were friendly, helpful and engaged with everyone with a warm hello and a smile

I booked this room for two nights a month before my June stay through Agoda I paid 97+% of the room and taxes when I booked in May and the remainder ($14) was due at check in I received emails confirming the total cost of the rooms and the amount I was initially charged

All appeared simple and correctAt check-in the hotel staff tried to charge me the entire amount and told me that I had not paid any portion of my room I showed them the emails indicating how much I paid along with the credit card transaction from early May They asked that I come back the next day to confirm the amounts This process took over 30 minutes with the staff on day 1On my second day, I saw a charge of $177 on my credit card I went back to the front desk to ask them to confirm how much was the hold for incidentals and how much I would be credited at check out They said I would be charged roughly $115 of the $177 and the remainder refunded This math made no sense and even after I showed them my email with the total amount my stay should be booked for the two nights, they really struggled to get the right charges on my card I spent almost 45 min waiting and dealing with the incompetent staff on the second day Total wasted time dealing with incompetence was an hour and 15 min Not what I wanted to do during my two night stay UPDATE: after 5 days after the refund was pending on my credit card statement, it was removed I called the hotel and no surprise, the staff were not helpful They claimed it was processed on their end and I should call my credit card I called the credit card and they said the merchant likely reversed the refund This has been the worst experience I’ve ever encountered with a hotel I do not recommend this hotel due to the incompetent staff

Priyanka Sen

Absolutely horrible Dirty room and bathroom AC made the room smell like a dirty locker room which clearly means it has not been cleaned out or properly serviced in a long time

We asked for our room to be changed and no one called us back for over an hour to let us know what the status of the request was We ended up booking another hotel and as we left, no one even spoke or acknowledged us This place is absolutely not worth the $200 we spent booking for one night for a wedding we needed to attend in Pittsburgh Spend that money elsewhere

Gabriel Warren

We got to our room and checked for bed bugs as usual We didn’t find any but I did find multiple tiny stains and one big stain on one of our pillows There was someone hair in the bed

I found many small hairs in the bed to the point where i just linted rolled all the comforter We didnt even get into to sheets we only used the comforter because I was very off put by the hair Then I noticed the room wasn’t vacuumed at all Our sink wouldn’t drain I had get under the sink and push the mechanism to get it to pop up just enough for it to drain Not a very good experience At least the staff was nice and I only needed to stay 1 night

This was BY FAR THE BEST HOTEL WE HAVE STAYED IN, in the Pittsburgh area! Our room was a 2 bed Queen Suite Room was phenomenal, property was clean, safe, and welcoming Jessica at front desk for check in was amazing! They let us check in early with no hesitation and also gave us a late check out with no questions! We came from Florida for Family Court and the stay exceeded our expectations for a calming experience before court

Breakfast was amazing, lots of options! Pool was nice and clean and I just can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had

Vicki R

I typically avoid Choice Hotels like the plague They’re all franchised with no set standards for customer service or quality This one, however, is one of the best hotels I’ve used even compared to Hilton, Marriott, or Holiday Inn

The rooms are clean, there are ample amenities, and the pool is warm and welcoming The bed is firm but cozy It has a down alternative comforter that I wanted to take home with me The side tables are large enough to hold a drink, a phone, and a lamp at the same time with room to spare Although the TV had the typical channels on it with nothing I cared to watch, I was able to plug my Roku in and stream all my shows as usualBreakfast was ample There was the typical fare you find in most hotels: eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles for the warm side Cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit (actually fresh, never bruised or old) I could go on, but I’m just going to say there was something for almost everyoneStaying in this hotel was really the only bright point on this trip in Pennsylvania

Dave Smilie

We stayed here our first night in town and liked it enough to book one more night before leaving townBoth times, the person at check-in was friendly, efficient, and went out of her way to accommodate usThe grounds and facility were both impeccably clean

Our room, a suite, was spacious and well appointedWhile the location is close to downtown, getting here (or anywhere in Pittsburgh) is an ordeal of one way streets, fast cars, and chaos That’s the only knock on a great place to stay

The hotel was nice but when my family and I walked in I was surprised that the front desk staff didn’t even greet us with a “Hi, how are you doing today?” Instead they just stared at us and made us feel uncomfortable The breakfast was lackluster and provided little to no healthy options besides an applePast that housekeeping did a great job

Stacey Phillips

The room was very clean and tidy Hot breakfast is not being offered Was surprised by the stoic receptionist at the front desk who didn’t bother to provide me with information regarding amenities offered by the hotel or even greet me upon check in

Upon checkout, the young lady at the front desk, failed to enquire from any guests leaving the premises about their stay Clearly this establishment does not value the patronage of its customers As I travel, I notice that the standards of Marriot brand that I have grown accustomed to are diminishing This is sad!

It was good Christine at the front desk was amazing and gave us so many restaurant recommendations! However, the room was not very clean to Marriott standards and the couch had some very questionable stains on it which I would not sit on I even tried flipping the cushions but they were on both sides

The bed was comfortable and very good water pressure Breakfast was good

Customer service was and is always outstanding We have stayed at this hotel for years when coming home to visit family I’m retired military and my son is active duty

He and my granddaughter arrived early on our last visit and the staff was very accommodating in getting them a room close to us Breakfast was very good and the area was very clean Once agian, all hotel staff personnel were friendly and very attentive Big hit for us were the room(s) this visit Curtains/shades had large cuts and red stains all over them, floors were greasy and slippery in kitchen and bathroom area, etc (Big decline)If the rooms and some of the common/hallway areas get a make over/cleaned up that would improve your ratings and prevent us from seeking another hotel with better/cleaner accommodations I hope you make these suggested modifications because we really do love staying at the this hotel

Jay Mack

Overall, I would have to say that I was very disappointed in our stay at their hotel My son and I were just there for a baseball tournament and we stayed at their hotel When we arrived, there was a sign on the front desk stating that the pool was closed (nice feature and part of our decision to stay there with a baseball team needing to unwind between games)

I inquired and they said it would be fixed and ready to go the next day We found out later that evening it wouldn’t be fixed until Monday after we were gone They offered no form of apologies or compensation for thisNext, I called and asked if they could send up sheets and a pillow for the pull out sofa (used to be standard in the room or hospitality would send it up) and they told me to come and get it from the front deskFinally, our room had a kitchenette and I found it curios that there were limited plates and utensils in the cabinet I looked in the dishwasher and found it full with water and grime sitting in the cups and bowls (ones which were not upside down to allow the water to drain) I found this disturbing because I have no idea how long they were sitting there and would not use themI don’t think I would stay at this particular hotel again!

I think the most appealing feature of this hotel, as if it isn’t good enough to have a pool and clean room, is the shuttle service they offer for guests Both nights we stayed they drove us from the hotel to a bar within 3 miles to Carson Street And Kim, the driver is absolutely amazing

So awesome If only they offered it every day of the week

Raj Kal

Hotel is right next to the train tracks and trains are plying all night and blast the horn when around the hotel I am not a light sleeper and yet could hear 5 trains pass by Beds are uncomfortable as they sag in the center

Sofa had gummies on them so it wasn’t cleaned They charge $22 for parking which is not advertised anywhereBreakfast was good

Cody Layman

The room we had was decent Our party of 3 fit nicely but there were no sheets or pillows for the pull out couch so we had to walk down to the front desk to retrieve them The yellow stains on the bed were hard to ignore but my wife slept on that side of the bed anyway

Upon exiting the 4th floor elivator where our room was located we were greeted by the rancid smell of a puke/sewage like substance that lingered the halls for our entire stay The indoor pool was located in the lower level and was as cold as an Alaskan ice rink but my 9 year old didn’t seem to mind The room was clean and quiet except for being located right beside a graffiti covered train track that seemed to have a train rolling down the line about once every 2 hours so it made sleeping a little difficult As for the continental breakfast it was your typical runt of the mill hard eggs and runny oatmeal that 90% of hotels offer Overall it wasn’t a bad experience but I think there are better options in the general area Also parking on site is $22 per day

We really enjoyed this sweet boutique hotel First, the staff was friendly and helpful Front desk was informative and efficient

Housekeeping was quick to respond and rooms were clean Don’t ever lose those great dreads:) and smile(you know who I mean) Second, the valet parking had good communication and service Shout out to Mica I’d trust him with my ride any day Lastly, location Close to exits and walking distance to all the cool things in downtown Pitt They were doing some remodeling but it wasn’t a hassle You are going to rock even more when it is finished! Keep up the good vibes I’ll definitely stay there again when visiting Rock On!!

Gabriella Guadagno

Room was very small, bed was comfortable though Temperature was perfect, the lobby was beautiful very nice decor and wonderful staff There is a beautiful terrace on the 10th floor with an amazing view of the city

It was really in the perfect location, target and LA Fitness was 8 minutes away so it was very convenient The only big issue I had was there was NO parking, I had to leave my car on the street they only had three stops and one of them was for an electric car and handicap The lots are so expensive, 25$ every time to go in and out so parking at meters and leaving my car three blocks away was SUPER annoying and honestly a big deal breaker for meThere is no microwave in the room, but you can use the lobby I am a Graduate student so I had to go down to heat up my food every day which was also annoying My room also did not have a blow dryer, but the front desk would have gave me another one I just never called back The stay was very comfortable, and the hotel was very clean Amazing and friendly staff!!

cam ,

It’s easier to mention what’s bad since most is good First of all, I’ve never ever had a front desk attendant as rude & useless as the accented, bearded, tall black man who checked us in This is not rooted in racism, all the other black employees were incredible

The room was really tiny for a king suite $35 for valet and $25 for self park is absolutely unacceptable, should have a free option of some kind Restaurant/bar wasn’t openPretty clean, location is best in city, rooftop deck was nice Very, very comfy bed Shower was awesome Modern Security was great, felt quite safe Internet was pretty quick Very clean area

-Clean Rooms-Friendly Staff-Good Price-Spacious Rooms-Great Location-24 Gym-Large Pool Open Till 11-Breakfast NOT Included-$28 To Park-Wine Fridge-Soft beds-AMAZING water pressureHotels in a great location, near the John Heinz History Museum **To park it’s $28 valet only** The guys working valet are EXTREMELY nice, personable people If you need your car or anything from it it’s controlled off of your phone

They offer fresh warm, DELICIOUS cookies when you check in Stayed on the 16th floor away from elevators Room smelled great and was clean Had a decent view, walls were a little thin Very spacious room with a wine fridge which I loved but wish room had a freezer I also wish there were better assortments of teas & coffee in the room Bathroom was small and I hated the pedestal sink The water pressure in the shower was heavenly, I could’ve stood under it for hours I was not a fan of how the room was set up I like the bed being tucked around corner not right by the door That way there’s more privacy when/If door was open Towels weren’t the softest but got the job done Love love loved the gym!!! Lots to do, very clean, plenty of equipment

Sourav Dutta

Superb location within walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions, fine restaurants and the convention center The staff are very courteous and always offer prompt service The rooms are a little dated, in general

That is probably common with a lot of the other downtown hotels that are located in historic buildingsI had a city view, high floor room, but the windows were extremely unclean, thus completely obscuring the view The bed was comfortable with fresh, clean linen A large TV with extended cable, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron, and all other standard room features were available The bathroom was really tiny, with no counter space around the sink and the toilet being cramped up near a wallThe gym and pool area are well maintained, and there’s a very good restaurant on-site, that also stays open until 10PM Overall, it was an enjoyable stay for a solo work trip

Denny D.

Overall a good experience Staff have been nice and helpful all around, including front desk, restaurant, and valets Speaking of the restaurant, the food is excellent and fairly reasonably priced

Not a huge menu but they seem good at what they do My suite was nice, almost the size of an apartment Fridge was tiny – almost useless, and room shows a bit of wear, but isn’t awful I agree with others – the shower water pressure is great! The gym is nice too! The elevators seem a bit iffy, so beware of that Location is top notch, with lots in walking distance Overall I’d recommend it

The ice machines weren’t working so you had to have the front desk get you some from the Cafe The breakfast is made to order and is NOT included with your room cost Coffee and fruit are offered free however

The hot tub was out of order and the pool was too cold for my liking so we didn’t utilize that amenity Also the guest laundry feature was out of order Check out was noon and I was able to have a late checkout til 1pm without extra charge Beautiful back yard with large gas fireplace over looking the river made up for all the other things out of order though Very nice Service from staff was excellent

The new restaurant is open for breakfast (The Factory) and I was very happy with the breakfast bowl and French press – creative and deliciousThe main lobby is gorgeous and open with arguably the best city view you can getThey are still constructing the remainder of the bar/restaurant, so keep that in mind, but over all a really great experience and the staff are all friendly/professional

We have been staying at the Sheraton Station Square for many years I was happy to see the lobby and room/barhroom updates, it was needed The restaurant is still under construction but we rarely ate there when it was open

The shower pressure wasn’t the greatest, but it got us clean The patrons in the halls were loud, but that’s not the hotels fault I didn’t know we weren’t gonna get our room cleaned, but one call and we got new bathroom towels in under 5 minutes The location is convenient and close to lots of things and the views are spectacular We’ve never stayed in an inside room, but this past weekend there were several weddings so I couldn’t image the noise level there

Most HI Express I have stayed at was very nice and this hotel is no exception

However my trip before this one I cut my finger on the top of the microwave It seems it has had a tabletop screwed to it at one point ,and there was a sharp point at the top It was minor to me so I had not bothered to mention it On this trip ,to same H I the heat did not work very well and room was a little cold first night The toilet leaked from the bottom and the tray that holds the complementary soap and shampoo had two chips out of it Curtains wouldn’t close properly, and the suite was a little in disrepair Shower walls had been cracked and halfway repaired The microwave tray was missing but worked okay Breakfast and cleanliness was excellent as always All the staff were very friendly and pleasant to meet

At this price point the rooms are exceptional I used priceline and got a weekday room rate of $89 The inn is pretty close to everywhere I wanted to be but if you want to go into town it’s a little out of the way

My son purchased a soda and sour patch kids and on each of the 3 times he purchased them the price was different $4, $5 & $6

Convenient location of the highway Clean and well maintained facilities Easy and enough parking

Free breakfast spread had enough options to satisfy everyone in our party Beds, pillows, and blankets are super comfortable AC cools great for a restful night’s sleepOnly gripe is that the bathroom door has no locks Ok for the single traveler or couples, not so great for families

Enjoying my stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in North Huntingdon, while my home is being fixed from water damage Staff is pleasant and helpful Breakfast is pretty good and included with stay

My room was not the cleanest, but was not to overly dirty just the office chair is cloth and it shows extreme use and could use cleaning Room also smelled a little dog I think they are pet friendly hotel, so I guess it’s kind of understandable just not preferred!

Stayed at this hotel for a week while in town for a family event I usually stay in Monroeville when visiting, but decided to give this hotel a try!•Strengths: The room was clean and in good condition upon arrival Elevators and stairwells were also clean and well maintained

Generally quiet during week day evenings/overnight when there were fewer guests Wifi connection was strong enough to allow for remote work Most days of my visit, breakfast food and coffee were available and fresh When the room’s AC unit leaked water all through the carpet, one of the staff members who was cleaning rooms was able to help submit a maintenance request for me, maintenance came out within an hour or two, fixed the issue, and cleaned up before they left The location is great, especially if accessing the Turnpike•Weaknesses: No spare rolls of toilet paper and a nearly empty Kleenex box at arrival, so had to ask for more during the stay The fan on the window unit only runs while heating/cooling and there is no bathroom fan, so the room can get damp easily (plus with the AC issue, the room needed some Damprid or a dehumidifier, but those weren’t provided) There is construction across the parking lot that you can hear from inside, and they started early in the morning some days — could also hear people in the other rooms, so not as soundproofed as one might hope On my last day, they ran out of coffee for the 8-9AM breakfast rush, but luckily there are Sheetz and Starbucks nearbyOverall, a newer hotel (compared to most in the area), with decent amenities, helpful staff, and clean/well maintained shared use spaces and rooms

Where do I start?

After their remodel, they’re now insanely expensive They’ve gone “TRENDY” Whats that mean, you ask? It means; no garbage cans in bathroom, or any real cans anywhere SUICIDALLY dark lighting in the rooms, but don’t worry, you’ll probably concuss yourself on the bathroom door because it blocks the hallway before you can slit yourself you have to close it to get out NO TABLES OF ANY KIND IN THE BATHROOM I had to put up the ironing board to set my stuff on God help you if you’re a female No towel racks because trendy things are trendyOH and if you can figure out how to set their trendy ac unit so it doesn’t blow hot air in the summer, you belong in MENSA Bathtub dirty, fridge iced over etc etcBOTTOM LINE; I’ve stayed there 4 or 5 times This is the last

The worse experience I have ever had! The management including staff and manager Carmen were not accommodating or willing to assist a large family with several young kids We booked online and when we showed up the hotel was under renovations with “pool” Online it states pool indoors

The manager didn’t even want to speak with me at first kept trying to speak over phone with staffing relay information Then they just kept showing us a websitethat is very difficult to navigate and yes at the very bottom after you reserve it satates “no pool” Staff was rude Staff was unsincerce I would never recommend this hotel!!!! 0/5 stars! Or better yet -5/5

Rude Front Desk Supervisor (Ellen)The hotel charge me an extra $300 for 1 night because they claimed I checked in a day before I really didWhen I called the hotel about this I was called a liar by the front desk supervisor (Ellen) and she told me “I was on camera signing papers and checking in on Friday” I checked in on Saturday and checked out on SundayEllen was very rude and was chuckling when telling me I was lying and I stayed for 2 nights not 1 like I actually did

When I asked for her employee number she then hung up on meI called the hotel back 5 times and was sent to voice-mail every timeI have never been disrespected and treated so poorly by a “professional” establishment, this experience made me feel like the gum stuck on the bottom of someone’s shoe This experience still feels really bad and Ellen hurt my feelingsI didn’t deserved to be treated like that and no one deserves to be treated like thatMy Girlfriend and the organization I was at this hotel with are just as upset about my experian as I am
