The hotel was located close to an event I attended The hotel staff were attentive and professional always making eye contact and saying hello when approached I used the Hilton Honors app to check and obtain a digital key that worked perfectly

The room was clean and had a spacious bathroom The bedding was nice and plush and we had the right amount of pillows for the stay The lounge food was very tasty and moderately priced I would recommend for anyone looking for an inexpensive, clean hotel that is conveniently located a few miles from Dulles Airport

Wendy Thomas

Due to a missed flight, our family of 6 and at least 20 other stranded travelers descended on the front desk clerk at 1:00 am She was efficient and patient Our rooms were clean and welcoming with comfy beds

Breakfast was abundant and yummy and served by friendly staff The facility might be a tad dated, but cleanliness and kind, hard working people mean the most to us, which is why I give it 5 stars

Steven Jackson

The bed was comfortable, but that was the only positive of my stay The TV did not work; it would turn on but would not change channels The bathroom had a number of issues: water pressure in the sink was way too high, would splash everywhere even when only slightly turned on; water pressure in the shower was way too low, could barely rinse the soap off my body; the shower door did not close; and there was only one bar of soap between both the sink and the shower

Also, the workmanship of the last remodel was not good; there were loose tiles throughout the bathroom and the floor was unevenIf I had not been in meetings throughout the week, I would have switched hotels immediately There are much nicer hotels in the same price range in this area

Very nice hotel, well kept, lots of natural light Would stay here again I had to do remote work and it was comfortable doing that in my hotel room

There was an Ethernet cord which stabilized the connection The room was big, you got everything you needed and the bathroom was roomy The hot breakfast buffet was $14 which was a bit pricey The pool had limited hours during the day so we didn’t get to swim, but the gym was great- good amount of equipment

Rick Adkins

Pretty nice place close to Dulles Airport They do have a nice restaurant, pool, and spa here, but don’t expect any free breakfast or coffee The rooms are nice and spacious

Right now they’re still only cleaning/servicing room upon request during your stay Since the whole contact transmission of COVID via surfaces has been debunked over a year ago I think they’re just saving on labor now Shame as they would normally be at least a 4 star reviewBack here again pretty much the same Clean and comfortable rooms, but service not like it used to be, at a higher price

Marti Hoppus

We are IHG member with a high status Our room has drapes that are sagging down from the rod, a 4 plug outlet in the bathroom that is greatly loose from the wall and I faucet in the tub/shower that won’t turn off, expelling about a cup of water every 8 minutes Reported all to the front desk in person

Staff did not write anything down and said ok to answer a phone call We were greeted as an IHG member, bed was nice and it was quiet

We had a wonderful time with our family Lovely rooms with lots of space to stretch out after a long day in the car We had a late lunch in the hotel restaurant and felt really safe in the large, well ventilated space

We had dinner in our room since it was a bit more crowded by then Though there are other places nearby to eat, the food in-house was excellent with several really good vegan options The staff was incredible, there was always someone to ask a question of, we requested extra linens and received them immediately The market by the front desk was also very convenient for last minute things When I went to load up the car before sunrise, there was security personnel in the lobby which made me feel safer about being outside alone in the dark Our only critique is that our room had a door to connect it to the adjacent room We heard some loud talking /laughing late at night It was very minor and it seems if you are close to the door your neighbor will hear you

This is a must stay!! If I had more time I would have booked extra nights! The hotel is simply beautiful and the staff is super friendly I met and spoke with a manager (Mr Matt) , dishwasher (Mr

Tim) , clerk (Mr Phil) and server (Ms Brittney) all in 1 day and every last person was very kind and professionalI didn’t have opportunity to see pool or workout area but rest assured you will not be disappointed with your stay at this hotel It’s somewhat secluded BUT you are close to restaurants etcThey were having a wedding when I arrived As a titanium member I was able to go to club on 7th floor for cocktails ($5 each) and breakfast the next morningI highly recommend staying at this hotel!!! The photos online are an exact representation of what to expect!!!

Lamont Ross427

Did not rate the rooms because we have not stayed there But the 1st impression was wonderful, we went to see if we can see the place We are looking for a place to have our wedding reception, the Manager took time to show myself & wife the facility & he explained that he had his wedding there

Great 1st impression, so we are thinking about hosting our wedding reception there Really nice

Hotel was ok Best I can say is it was a place to lay our head at night The hotel seems to have been renovated but it feels like the owner did the bare minimum updates to satisfy whatever requirements Marriott had for them

Definitely not gong above and beyond to provide a top notch customer experienceOur room was very humid So humid you could feel the water in the carpet and bedsheets Maintenance came the next day to check the AC (those old hotel window units) Everything was working fine but they felt the humidity as well and brought up a dehumidifier for the duration of our stay Not sure why central HVAC was not installed as part of the remodelCould have been worse I guess

Quinn Sutton

Conveniently located just a few minutes from Roanoke Regional Airport

clean, bright property with very personable staffthey are very welcoming and accomodating! Ask for Ericashe is amazing! Being a customer service Supervisor for American Airlines and dealing with people every day, people like Erica would make me ABSOLUTELY use this hotel anytime I’m in town!

Beth Kinstler

The hotel stay was fine however the room information is incorrect Says the king room with sofa bed can sleep four, but in reality it is 3 The sofa bed is not double/full size but a twin

I asked the lady at front desk if there had been a mistake and she told me 3 fit in the king bed!!! I had to either have my son in bed with us or lay the mattress directly on the floor and have other child sleep on sofa cushions

Staff was wonderful, but hotel really needs some cleaning and updating Trash was overflowing by elevator Elevator doors definitely needed cleaned, looks like someone spilled coffee or something all over them and they were like that our entire stay

Our room was nice but the shower curtain had an inch of thick mold growing across the bottom and we had one towel that’s all

Alicia Midey

Had amazing service here! This is the second year in a row I have made a trip to Suffolk and stayed The staff was all very helpful and kind Made me and all my guests feel welcomed

Marshall, the manager, really stood out He helped us even carry our bags and deliver some things to our friends staying there as well I will stay here again

Erica Anstey

The hotel was nice It looks like they have been upgrading it little by little Our room wasn’t as clean as it could be (very dusty) but the beds were comfy

Would be nice if they had more upgraded ways to charge devices My only real issue was that our room clearly had someone smoking in it before us (it’s a non smoking hotel) We tried to switch rooms but the Febreez smell was so strong in all the other rooms that I could not handle it It’s waaaaay overpowering I’m not sure if they are trying to cover something up The staff were super nice in trying to accommodate me though If you are sensitive to smells and chemicals, do not stay here

Natasha Davis Sam-Yellowe

I am beyond in disbelief of the customer service and the overall experience in general Upon entering our first room it smelled like urine In that room we also have our baby who uses formula

We woke up the next morning to seeing ants literally everywhere and all over my baby’s things I’ve had to dump things in the middle of a formula shortage Which is a horrible loss to any new mom who has to literally travel to find this stuffReached out to the front desk at around 6am They were prompt and moved us to a different room We looked didn’t see any ants initially We left the hotel for the day and came back at night Before we left we kept everything off the floor, nothing in reach and hung up everything Came back to the room with ants in the bed and on the desk they have yet againWent downstairs around 12 at night to complain again The manager told me we can either check out in the middle of the night with our newborn baby and get a refund, or he could move us to yet another ant roomI get that it’s a tough job especially with a worker shortage The manager was not attentive neither empathetic at all He actually seemed really clueless about what to say or doIf you have baby’s I would not recommend staying here until they fix the ant problem The hotel is very dated at thatI did enjoy a salad I got from the bar and the customer service was stellar from the bartender

Layla Remmert

A really nice Hilton with the feel of an older, grand style Hotel The fitness center and pool area was pristine; both the bar/restaurant and full menu or buffet breakfast was all excellent quality I was there for 5 nights for business; it really made a difference to have all the amenities on hand

Nice little gift shop and hair/nail salon too Would definitely stay again, whether for business or leisure

Byron Gillespie

This is a really nice elegant looking hotel! I can’t deny that when you walk in the lobby and in your room you’ll get the feeling of staying in luxury! But, this hotel is lacking on one very important feature Look at the picture of the thermostat! This thermostat is from the 1970’s…! Please Hilton, update the thermostats in this hotel! My review should be a full 5-star but because of the 40-year old thermostat I had to take a star away from my review!

I come here often for work Breakfast is okay, but it could be better They have free weights in the gym but no bench, I wish they would finally add that

They used to have one, but it must have brokenThe rooms are nice I haven’t been in a bad one yet Sometimes the AC is controlled by the thermostat on the wall, sometimes at the unit itself You just have to pay attention to which is workingWhere this place really shines though is the staff who work here David, at the front desk during the day, is incredible He is personable and helpful, and has gone above and beyond on several occasions Rafael, the shuttle driver, is incredibly friendly and professionalGreat value and customer service!

Darwin Parker

We had a nice stay at the Fairfield Inn! We came with a group of 30 for an 8th grade Washington DC trip The rooms were clean and comfortable Breakfast was plentiful, just the regular hotel breakfast foods

The staff was friendly and helpful tooIt is close enough to a gas station that groups of our kids would walk over and get some treats/snacks, so that was niceIt is about a 40 minute drive to DC though, which we didn’t know, and we didn’t make the reservation – a travel agent did, but we still had fun

GLORIA ONTIVEROS

I used the Fly and Park portion of this hotel It was extremely easy to set up in person I did call about 3:30 AM to set up a 5:30 AM shuttle reservation to Dulles airport

Professional staff and drive The price for 7 days was $63 and I tipped the driver $5 This was super convenient especially on a last minute notice I placed a tag on my visor and parked my car in a designated parking lot and left to the airport I highly recommend this place if you need a place to park and fly close to Dulles Airport I will update you next week on July 19 when I pick up my car****UPDATE*****I arrived at Dulles Airport around 2:30 pm and called the Fairfield for a pickup at the airport I was told to go to the lower level to waiting area 2G I waited about 30 minutes for my pickup and drop off at my vehicle The driver was courteous and unloaded my bags next to my vehicleThis was a great experience Next time I have an early flight I will spend the night and take the shuttle This was a positive experience for me

the hotel is in a beautiful location and the lobby is sophisticated the indoor pool is in a very interesting place because when you walk in the front door of the hotel you can look down and see the indoor pool it’s beautifully designedthe restaurant is quite nice, really like the ambiance, the bartender is friendly and we ordered a few appetizers that were quite delicious

the rooms are okay not great and the bathroom is super super smallwe were on the 9th floor and the views are spectacular we lucked into a thunderstorm too so it was beautiful to see from that perspective so many mountains!

A+ For everyone at the front desk and at the restaurant in this lovely DoubleTree hotel Every employee was kind, friendly, and helpfulB+/A+ For their famous butter-made cookie

The cookie we first got on check-in was good, but dry It wasn’t as fresh as it could have been, and clearly had been under the heat lamp for too long But the next morning when we asked for an extra cookie for the road it was chewy, perfect, and yummyA- For the room, which was overall clean and luxuriousB+ For the food in the restaurant My salmon dinner was tasty My oatmeal in the morning was a bit watery, but the fresh blueberries on top were really goodC- For the coffee Yikes The coffee in the lobby was weak and watery The coffee in the restaurant was strong but had bad flavor The in-room coffee maker coffee was also mediocre DoubleTree needs to upgrade its coffee significantly This was not the quality that an upscale Hilton brand hotel should have Conrad Hilton would be turning over in his grave Some money needs to be spent by Hilton to fix and stop Conrad from spinning aroundA For the landscaping around this hotel, which is really nice

Tiarra Ebony

This an old building but decent for a short stay They have a nice dining area !I was double booked and looked to be charged incorrectly I called this morning to see if I could get a few questions answered

Paula needs customer service training or pulled from the front desk She’s very inhospitable She first proceeded to tell me to contact my bank without even looking to see when I checked outThen when I explain the situation she places me on hold then comes back with an attitude to get my name and reservation information Then she proceeds to tell me everything but what I asked for Which was , did the second reservation get canceled on their end Easy Question

Great location less than a 10 minute drive from Dulles Airport with nearby cinema and good places to eat The staff was welcoming and responsive Rooms are clean, spacious, and well-appointed

The exercise room was decent Their complimentary breakfast was delicious (hot, customized food as well as the continental breakfast type options)

Sasha Whitley

Stayed here for proximity to the airport and the shuttle service TOO BAD the shuttle doesn’t run on weekends The shuttle schedule isn’t even on the website

Happy hour is fine, but no food options besides chips The breakfast here is good Bathroom sink and tub didn’t drain Rooms are very dark and damp Probably wouldn’t stay at this location again

Amy Brewer

The hot tub has been down over one month And the happy hour is just tortilla chips and grapes; no variety, cheap spread Very disappointed and will amend this review barring the owner/ GM decides to pursue fixing the hot tub asap and to spend an extra $50 for a few more snacks

This is the reason why people choose embassy suites: happy hour and a decent resource for relaxation

We stayed here a couple of nights ago for a one night stop as we traveled back to New York The reviews were decent, so I booked it We had a wonderful stay

The staff was so pleasant Our room was also spotless As others have mentioned, the decor is a little older It was surprising that the older furniture was in great shape Pretty impressive for a hotel There was coffee available in the lobby any time and the breakfast buffet had a huge variety Larger than I’ve ever seen at a Hampton Inn before I don’t know if we will pass through Fredericksburg again, but if we do, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat

Guy Parvin

This was the best hotel experience that we had in years We chose this hotel because of the good reviews (which is not always accurate) The room was very clean and everything was in good condition and worked (rare)

The staff was great, not a sour person among them The breakfast was the best that have had in years and the man taking care of the breakfast was professional, friendly and was always busy taking care of restocking items and emptying the trash My wife dropped a sausage on the floor, when she went to pick it up, he came right over and said that he would take care it, with a smile

Kathy Vining

The staff was friendly, welcoming With the unfortunate deterioration of this country & the often offensive attitude of the upcoming generation, the visit here was like it used to be & how it should be The room was clean (maybe just needed a tiny bit of updating), but we had everything we needed

We felt safe & comfortable The bed & pillows were the best! The bathroom was clean & well kept It’s one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at in a long time Also, the hot breakfast that was included was fantastic!

Miss Rebecca was very nice, she was neat, tidy and respectful I loved her sweet southern belle energy Very professional and helpful

I was grateful to stay in a clean room with no hassle I will be staying again based on the performance of service from her I simply would give her a raise and a promotion for all her hard work! 5 stars ⭐️ 10/10 👍🏽 Keep being you! we need more individuals that are willing to take care of others the way you do! Have a beautiful day!

Dru Vaughn

The hotel is clean, the fitness center is adequate, the pool a good temp The fire pit is almost ALWAYS burning when I got “home” from work I want to mention 2 staff members who MADE my hotel visit feel like HOME – Zoe at the front desk! ALWAYS a warm hello, ALWAYS offered assistance, ALWAYS asked a follow up question to ensure I was taken care of and understood! She’s AWESOME and a wonderful Host and brand ambassador! The other staff member, I never got his name and should have, an older gentleman, maintenance most evenings – ALWAYS takes a moment to offer the little things (presses elevator button, offers to hold a door)

Also a wonderful host and a man who understands hospitality and taking care of guests These 2 employees made my visit so much more comfortable; THANK YOU!!!

KooKoo

The cleaning staff here is so kind and excellent at their jobs The front desk staff is amazing as well Any negative review on here is not truthful because I stay here frequently and it is always impeccably clean

The outdoor fire pits are wonderful and there is plenty of room to relax in the lobby whether you are getting a drink in the bar or if you are trying to work and/or need a casual place to meet for business in a public area Plenty of receptacles to plug into and also they have several TV monitors to utilize to hook up and present your PC screenI think most people (especially the complainers) need to get a grip; if something is wrong in a room at any hotel, you should probably live in reality…literally 1000s of folks stay in hotels weekly…things can happen – relax and politely ask for help If it’s not the place for you, take yourself somewhere else I travel to 20-30 hotels a year all over the US, I know quality hotels! This is a wonderful location and you’re lucky to have a room here Great for families, business, pleasure, etcThank y’all again for the hospitality and you’re doing great!

The night time manager was really helpful and caring We had been driving all day and couldn’t keep going so stopped here to get a room for the night He got my family a king suite room when there was very limited availability, took the time to explain everything we needed to know and even gave us a discount

Overall pretty good experienceBonus the checkout time is 12pm! And the pool stays open until midnight!

We made a last minute decision to stop here on our way home from OBX due to some vehicle issues Didn’t really get to see anything about it but needed a place to stay Was pleasantly surprised how nice this place was

It was very clean and the rooms were nice The bed and bedding was updated and nice as well The pool room was crazy warm, so keep that in mind parents if you’re not going to swim too There is a breakfast included but they serve you due to Covid regulations but that was fine with us… the food was good No complaints for our stay We will stop here again if ever in the area

This is a nice hotel worth staying in again Though the room was a cramped, dark-walled rectangular, with a toilet too low and close to the shower, it had a couple nice features The desk was well placed and the couch was comfortable

The room had a defined living room and bedroom, with the rooms well separated with a half-wall and large TV mounted to it that easily turned to face the living room or the bedroom The fitness room looked good, but I did not see the pool The hotel staff was fantastic from front desk to housekeeping The food was just OK We had a little indigestion from their evening buffet, which may have been due to eating too much I would not dine at the hotel in the future The court yard was great, and I loved the flowering crape myrtle tree there

Clean, convenient, and well managed These days, it’s hard to predict what you’ll get from a hotel that was traditionally great pre- pandemic The service was friendly, rooms were reasonably clean, and we were treated to a view of the planes from Dulles taking off and landing from our room

Queen rooms had an ample seating area which was an unexpected surprise We ate dinner and breakfast there – it was at a traditional business hotel price point and with a lack of restaurants in walking distance, performed well When taking off for an early flight from Dulles, I would definitely stay here again

The rooms were very nice and organized I was staying for a school trip and was only in the room for 2 nights but it was great, the only thing that made me question the hospitality was the front desk I had kindly asked for extra towels because we only had one and the lady just gave me attitude

My roommates even said it was kinda hostile The breakfast was very good though, the pancakes were my favorite But it was a great stay and I would totally recommend it!

The stay was nice The hotel is clean and we appreciated the ability to grab a coffee from the bar in the mornings The pillows are terrible, mega soft with no medium firmness option like most hotels offer

The bathroom/shower situation is weird Why is the light switch outside of the bathroom & not necessarily close to the strange french doors? Why is there no fan in the bathroom? Why is there no door/shower curtain to the stand-up shower? Water all over the floor & a soaked floor towel The a/c worked great but seems there’s no insulation between rooms because the a/c kicks on and it’s instantly frigid but the second it kicks back off all cool air seems to dissipate Our solution was to keep the temp lower so it would run more often just to combat the still warm air that would instantly envelop our roomUltimately, there wasn’t anything wrong with our stay but next time we’re in town we will likely try a different hotel at the same price point to try our luck for better overall comfort

Stayed only 1 night, flew out the next day but I have to say I was very impressed by this hotel…especially management When there was an error on my bill, the General Manager M Miller emailed me and took care of it immediately and was VERY helpful

The hotel itself is very nice, the room was clean and comfortable and the decor was classy The staff were very pleasant and polite I highly recommend this establishment to anyone needing a great hotel for their stay in the Dulles area!

The hotel is old and could use some updating However, the staff was so accommodating and friendly that we still enjoyed our stay! We enjoyed our ocean view balcony, and also the outdoor pool with the Station 10 bar and grille for poolside snacks We highly recommend Lena’s cooking with the Philly cheesesteak waffle fries! John and Liz were friendly managers, and our waiter, Danielle was a lot of fun

Not an elegant place but the personnel make it inviting I

My family ended up booking rooms here for an impromptu get together and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience The employees were extremely kind and very accommodating It’s a bit further down the boardwalk so it great for families with younger kids because most of the young adult crowd is around 17th street

The breakfast was simple but delicious We definitely plan to return

The customer service was outstanding! I liked this property The suite was nice The hotel smelled so nice when you entered! Parking was great

We did not have a problem finding a parking spot even the weekend was very busy with the marathon they had! The only reason for 4 starts not 5 is that the hot tub was cold and the pool was very small and cold!
