Excellent customer service! Everyone was very pleasant Our room was clean and was excellent! It was a quiet weekend here in GA The bistro is a must when here

During the time of this review, the bistro is closed at dinner hours, but breakfast is open full force! The food was delicious This hotel is in a great location to everything Nothing is too far! Might become a member after this since I’ll have to make quarterly trips to Duluth Enjoyed the stay!

If you are a Marriott Bonvoy member, look elsewhere I am a Platinum Elite member (1) was not greeted as platinum elite [which is fine] (2) was not offered the bottle of water that always comes with platinum status (3) when I asked if there was anything offered to platinum elite members the lady said no

She never acknowledged or thanked me for my stay I travel to hundreds of hotels, this is the worse front desk service I ever received It is July 19 2022 evening for any management reading thisThe elevator is very far from the front desk My key didn’t work When I went downstairs to tell the lady, she had me wait about 15 minutes while she checked in 4 other patrons and then finally called someone to help meYes, I paid for the water that I normally get free at every other Marriott hotel I’ve stayed atIs complaining about $5 water petty? Maybe But if you stay 50+ nights per year with a hotel chain, is withholding $5 water even pettier? yes

Reported Unresolved Case #351896878 We were given a musty, moldy-smelling room with a broken door handle and a malfunctioning air conditioner upon check-in They would not allow me to use my digital key and forced me to take room keys

I was told this was because of fraud at their hotel I tried my best to work things out with the hotel BEFORE calling Customer Relations, but they were rude and of NO assistance before opening my case So, after the second night of myself and my 12-year-old nephew, both of us having asthma, not being able to breathe, and I’m still trying to recover from having COVID and the room staying at or above 75 degrees, I called Customer Relations for assistance Eventually, the hotel moved us to a new room, BUT this room was worse due to a lack of available outlets, outlets sparking, a roach infestation, and a bathtub needing assistance I had earned and paid for extra points to take advantage of the 5th night free, but I checked out early and booked a two-night stay at a Tru by Hilton hotel (staying an extra day because the room and staff were SOOOOO amazing, and I needed a day to regroup) I didn’t even tell them what had happened at Marriott because I was trying to calm down Oh, and I could use my digital key at Tru by Hilton and do EVERYTHING without needing assistance from the hotel staff Isn’t this why they are available to guests (which helps minimize the risks of contracting the coronavirus that is STILL killing and impacting people’s lives)?

Great location!!! Beautiful surroundings Super great check in staff!!! Everything was great until… got settled into the room and… there were a few dead bugs on the floor – carpet and the bathroom and the room was very musky all night So, the room wasn’t comfortable at all because of this

We had to check out of this property the next morning

We had a great stayI like most is the staffs – they are friendly and helpful, and always talk with smileRoom is super clean and comfortable

The outdoor area is pretty and nice to take a walkIn general it’s a fair game and I recommend it to others

Lynn L

generally, good experiencepros: nice staff, clean environment, quiet area, good location, safety is good, the air conditioner is good (can control at the control board at the air conditioner itself or at wall)cons: not so many outside chairs to let you enjoy the sunshine, swimming pool is only open on Friday, meeting room/meeting space is not open to individual use (but if you are in a group and book the meeting room in advance maybe you can use it)

I am so underwhelmed by this hotel I had high hopes that it was going to be nice based on the reviews but it wasn’t We checked in at night and the outside was dim and needs more lighting

The hotel is also located in a cute neighborhood and is located near a lot of shopping and restaurants The best part of this hotel is the lobby area It was well lit and vibrant nothing like our room Here are my issues with the room As soon as we walked in the smell of old smoke hits you in the face The decor in the room is outdated, it gives you dungy basement vibes The sheets felt damp, I guess it was because they had the air on 60 degrees to try to eliminate any smells The bathroom had spots of mold and the wallpaper is bulging in certain spots Also, you have to pay for breakfast, it’s not complementaryAfter a long drive, I just wanted a clean room with clean sheetsI don’t think that I’ll be staying at another Marriott and I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone

Y L

The hotel is well located and the staff are pleasantHowever, they are currently undergoing some renovation work insidep, so on the way to your room you will come across the workThe laundry doesn’t work and the staff doesn’t seem to care (they told me that another guest had already informed them about this problem a few days ago but nothing was done)

The room is quite simple but the shower ventilation makes an unbearable noise, it sounds like a diesel engine starting!

Integrity and kindness are lacking in this establishment My daughter and I arrived in the evening of 5/14/22 around 11:30 pm

We had traveled a good distance and were ready for bed I assumed the process to check in would be fairly quick due to the fact that I had paid in advance online When I approached the front desk the woman seemed nice and asked if I wanted to use the same card I paid with for an incidental fee, but never informed me of what that fee would be I said no, being that I had brought a different card with me and pulled it out to hand it to her She received another call in that moment while assisting me, and instead of putting them on hold, she begin to assist them I then saw a notification hit my phone for a transaction of $180 for the Courtyard Marriott that was declined It happens a second time, in the meantime she is still on the phone with someone else When she got off the phone, I inform her that I paid for the room already and asked why she was taking an additional $180 out? The total was supposed to be $147 for one night She informed that due to me deciding to use a different card for the incidental fee she canceled the entire thing and was charging me again However, none of what she was doing with my money was discussed with me before doing it, also she ran that same card for a higher amount without explaining the charges I never got an answer as to why the total was $180? I checked my account to see if the money had come back on my card and of course it had not It takes at least 5 to 10 business days I was so frustrated but remained calmed and asked her what I needed to do, she said nothing She handed me my key and sent me on my way Upon entering the room, the bathroom had not been cleaned well My daughter took the sofa bed, but when pulling it out there was no plastic covering over the bed and therefore it was very dirty There were no sheets left for the bed It looked like someone had urinated on the bed several times There were bugs in the corners of the couch as well My daughter had to sleep with me I woke up to several transactions for different amounts on my card that she had tried to process, due to her mistake When the money that you took and then canceled without telling me is put back on my card, you can take it out again I am a hard working single mother, you can not do what you please with other people’s money This company is not trustworthy I’ve called several times and asked for a manager but no one will return my call I do not recommend this hotel and will never use them again in the future!

Had a great experience here Rooms were large and featured microwave and fridge Breakfast was good

Laundry was broken, but front desk clerk called a sister Marriott property to get use access keys to their laundry Overall fantastic experience Since this is an honest review, the pool not being open is a bummer An enclosure would make this a year round pool and take this property to the next level

We enjoyed our time here as a family of four; we typically travel with embassy because of the larger rooms and separate living space for the kids You could tell the communal spaces and rooms had been recently renovated and were in good condition All staff were very friendly and helpful! The pool area was large but needed some touch up and work on the glass ceiling, which I’m hoping was just cosmetic

The kids loved it anyway! The happy hour is still around, even after COVID, the snacks are just all individually packaged and the bartender puts them out right on the hour I would definitely stay here again!

First let me say i am a picky person I loved this hotel Minor things concerning room

Spots on carpet probably from dogs because they are dog friendly I have a dog but i think much more effort needs to put into cleaning that No maid service which i think is a bummer considering we paid over 50000 for 3 nights Its just nice to come to a room with clean towels and dirty removed The place is a older hotel but its nice You can see they have updated it My favorite part is breakfast The omelet is amazing You get two minimum The evening reception u get two drinks per day Limited selections I think snacks need work One day it was prepackaged stuff One day it was dip and chips Very spacious hotel Close to downtown Atlanta maybe 45 mins without all the traffic Beautiful area to stay No trash on the rd and no one begging for money I would stay again

Angels all around me Myla

The staff was very sweet and helpful I appreciate them showing up with a good cheerful attitude because that is rare these days The front desk lady made me feel very welcomed and so did Ms

Adrieanna who works the beverage center They were very sweet and accommodating The rooms are spacious and clean I highly recommend this location if you are visiting this area I will definitely be back

My stay was excellent because of Erin! (I hope I am spelling her name correctly) She checked me and my boyfriend in at almost midnight, but you couldn’t tell it was midnight because of her bubbly personality She was so friendly and eager to assist after I made a reservation at the wrong hotel (it was the sister hotel up the street)

She got on the phone and was able to switch it to the correct one Her kindness, graciousness and willingness to make the check in process fun and easy going made the entire stay so much better! The literal definition of hospitality

Faye Lululu

We booked two rooms for 3 nights for family of 4First night after check in, we discovered one of our room already have someone in there Scary…Second night- after a full day outside, we discovered the room didn’t get service except the towels were changed We specifically requested the room service ( cleaning) and apparently their definition of clean room is only change towels

Not very look forward for the 3rd night We have to wipe all over again as it’s not very clean Whether the bed sheet is clean or not it’s doubted I saw some good reviews here that’s the reason we booked it, however not sure what’s going on now Very disappointing

Joani Hill

I booked this hotel on accident for a company trip so I’m at another location than everyone else We’ll, I’m so glad I made this reservation I’m an early bird and need my coffee lol Erin that works 3rd shift made my stay! She is so friendly and helpful! From getting me my morning caffeine at 4:30 am to making me feel like family! This is probably the best stay I’ve had at any hotel and that’s all thanks to Erin these past 2 days!!!

I was only in town for one night for a corporate event and given the proximity to the venue, the rate, and the reviews, I chose to stay at Aloft I had previously stayed at the Aloft property in Nashville several years ago and was pleased, so I felt comfortable with my choice in Alpharetta My room, though small and on the first floor, was everything that I needed

(I formally traveled quite a bit for business, but this was my first time in a hotel since the pandemic) The room was very clean and quiet, had a nice waterfall shower head, desk space, large TV with many options and comfortable bedding Check in was super easy, as was check out My only, very small, issue was that my room didn’t have a Do Not Disturb sign, so I was interrupted twice This wasn’t a big issue though since I was traveling alone and was up and about both times Thank you very much for a near perfect stay

Scott C. Martin

I arrived one hour after check-in time to find an empty desk and a “back in ten minutes” sign Ten minutes later, I was given keys to a room that was already occupied Thankfully the current occupant was very gracious about a random person trying to get into their room

I went back downstairs and was given keys to an unoccupied roomThe room was relatively clean and in good shape The batteries to the tv remote were dead, so I tried to call down to the front desk The phone didn’t work I tested the wall plug and it still didn’t work I went back to the lobby to get new batteries and to report the dead phone, but the “back in ten minutes” sign was back out with no attendant in sight This was about 5pmLater I discovered that the ironing board had a broken leg, and I had to go back to the lobby to get a new one Thankfully the attendant was availableI am very careful to turn all lights off when I leave a hotel room, and to shut the blinds When I returned later in the day the lights were on and the blinds were lifted, but the room had not been cleanedMy verdict: this hotel is either suffering from staff shortages or spectacularly bad quality control Or both I will not be returning

Rhonda Greenhaw

This hotel is wretched! I have stayed in other Aloft Hotels that I enjoyed, but this place is awful The carpeting is always dirty I requested that my room be cleaned daily (you have to request that from Marriott hotels since COVID, which they appear to be using as an excuse to cut WAY back on services), and was initially told they CAN’T do that! I called the hotel manager and asked whether that was a policy and was told “no, of course you can have your room cleaned” – and was promised that I would have my room cleaned daily – as a business traveler I do shower daily and it is unbelievable that they would actually think this is a good policy to leave a week’s worth of dirty towels in a room – but apparently they do because this has been an issue at EVERY Marriott I’ve stayed at lately

Anyway, they promised my room would be clean – first day it was, then afterwards, nope I’m a gold member but if Marriott doesn’t get it together I will switch brands!

We had to book 2 rooms last minute for a family trip They were able to accommodate 2 rooms side by side (not a connecting room unfortunately) and provide a crib We’ve paid more for less at other budget hotels, so we were pleasantly surprised with our positive experience

Rooms and bathrooms were clean The breakfast had many options Didn’t notice any loud or unruly guests while we were here Pleasant over all Staff was friendly and helpful

I have checked in exactly at 12:07am on 4/30/2022 I am writing the exact date and time hoping that a manager sees this review The lady who helped me check in was very rude

She had me put in my card and after I saw “approved” on the card machine she started pressing cancel button She said to put in the card one more time which I regret I checked my account right away and saw two pending transactions I told her this and she got very annoyed and said she only sees one authorization code She handed me a paper and sign and I asked her what the paper is for and she got annoyed again I showed her my online banking with two transactions pending, but she told me to talk to the bank So I had to call the bank after driving 4 hours and the banker told me there were two transactions with two different authorization codes from best western I filed for a dispute right away I told her about what the banker has told me and that I am filing for a dispute and all she said was “that’s fine” This is my first time staying at best western and will be my last

Hope that you don’t book this location by mistake for the same day like I did This hotel won’t issue you a refund even when you call the customer service number for holiday inn within 10 minutes of booking to change to the correct location IHG assured me that they would refund my money so I booked the correct location but it turns out this hotel marked me as a no-show so that they could keep the money I paid by citing their “terms & conditions BS”

Holiday inn has also lost all my future stays when I travel for not backing me up during this incident BEWARE

Cammie Hamilton

OK There are a few things that made my experience not great First, I made reservations through IHG, when I get to the hotel they act like they didn’t have a King bedroom available and they put us in a handicapped room

Secondly, we left out the blanket/pillow called up to the hotel to let her know my husband picked it up, she tells me that we will have to wait until housekeeping clean the room and she was very rude with an attitude Why should I wait to get MY stuff? My husband goes up there to pick it up and he said she was rude to him

amflossin

I stayed here several years ago and had a great experience HOWEVER, the mattress was horribly worn and uncomfortable, had a deep depression in it (unfortunately I didn’t realize it until bed-time), told the front desk the next morning and they offered to move me but I only had 1 night left and didn’t want to repack everything There was award smell in the room, fortunately I had spray with me

We drove 7 hours to Atlanta to be treated poorly We checked in at 2pm, we didn’t even go into the room We went to get something to eat and we returned to the hotel 4-5 hours later

We were in the room for less than 30 minutes, my mother had to Lysol the entire room The shower was filthy and black, the couch was full of stains, the bed and sheets were yellow and stained The toilet did not flush, you had to press it down 4 times and the shower sounded like it was going to explode The backdoor was broken for security purposes We went to advise the manager and he and his wife were disrespectful and refused to refund our money due to these poor conditions They insisted we stayed for 4 hours which was never true, we checked in and went to get food We asked them to pull the security cameras if they actually worked since they had so much assurance They refused to pull the cameras to prove we never stayed in the room for 4 hours We ended up leaving and having to find another hotel after driving 7 hours We stayed at the Aloft Marriot right up the road I highly recommend the Marriot over this disgraceful placeNEVER STAY HERE!

We checked in late and Ruben was so nice and very helpful! The room was very clean, which was most important to me Our room was on the bottom floor beside the exit and people were coming in and out at all hours of the night and the door slammed every time The pumps for the shampoo and conditioner in the shower didn’t work

Breakfast was pretty good!Overall, it was a decent place to stay for the night if you are passing through

I was in town under not so great circumstances and had a few issues with rooms after checking in after 3am Keke at the front desk was very nice and patient and got me in a decent room for the night She even left a note for the manager, which made it easy to explain the next morning

Michelle took accountability for the hotel and took good care of us for the duration of our stay Nope, no credits needed All it took was a friendly face who understood the situation, apologized, and fixed it right away The ENTIRE staff was friendly and seems to enjoy their job! It gave me a little comfort when I needed it the most!

The rooms were spacious, but no house cleaning done for the 4 days that we were there The breakfast was good But the lady cleaning and restocking the items was very upset about the number of people that were having breakfast

Multiple teams had booked that hotel for a 4 day tournament There was a time, she even lashed out on the kids Something that is not hospitality If the staff doesn’t like soo many people booked and having breakfast, then they should not entertain booking it Would never plan on going back there

Really impressed by this hotel! Everything about it is very modern and clean The rooms are not huge but it has plenty of desk space, a (I think?) 55” tv that swivels, a very cute loveseat with ottoman (perhaps only king rooms I am not sure), high end shampoos and soap (Paul Mitchell!), and modern fixtures There is a bar, a Starbucks coffee corner, and a 24/7 snack/frozen dinner market with microwave

I would definitely stay here again if in the area

We stayed here for my daughters dance competition and I could not have been more pleased The hotel was clean, welcoming, and in a perfect location As impressed as I was with your hotel, your front desk manager Marsha, is a living angel

When we arrived that evening, my daughter and I had just had a minor car accident I was very shaken up and Marsha was so sweet and reassuring We didn’t have a car to get to the competition early the next morning As her shift was ending ( the next morningas she had been up all night working) she took us to the event in her own car to make sure we got there on time Our world needs more Marshas I cannot thank her enough and want to express my appreciation You have a great employee with a good heart Thank you Marsha!

Nice hotel, friendly staff, and clean room The only caveat is they don’t have the little soaps to use in the shower, and they don’t have daily house keeping service Perhaps they don’t give new towels each day, but at least come and make the bed up each day and fluff the pillows

For the price you pay for each night, at least provide some house keeping

Bathroom had not been fully cleaned as used toiletries from previous guest were still in the bathroom Asked for pillows and blanket for the bed in the fold out couch for our kids and was told that they had none available Breakfast isn’t included ($8 per person)

Walls are super thin so we could hear every time the person next to us opened their blinds and when the kids baseball team came thundering down the hall every night Someone pulled the fire alarm in the middle of the night for a few seconds The very small pool looked pretty gross

Kristofer Meyers

I would not recommend this hotel and this was our experience The hotel ran out of clean bath towels and only offered pool towels They only had $1

00 i Quarters to offer towards the laundry room They had an event or events going on until well past midnight during our stay with the music so loud, we could hear and feel it in our rooms Someone set the fire alarm off at midnight and woke all of our kids up They have one ice machine which is in the “second building” on the 3rd floor They have one microwave in the hotel which is in the dining area only There were two creepy cars in the parking lot that had the windows broken out and a bunch of junk in them If you have children, I would look elsewhere to stay

Ryan Cox

Decent hotel but overpriced I got it on sale and was still too much tbh (100 a night) Doesn’t even include free breakfast, even though it’s looks about as close to a free continental breakfast as you could get

It’s a 3 star hotel pretending to be a 4 star Front desk is nice and all though Cafe/breakfast attendees could at least pretend it doesn’t kill their entire being to explain their weird set up that involves breakfast vouchersUnless you have to stay in the area like I did, go elsewhereyou’ll pay less, get the same kind of room, and the rehydrated powdered eggs will be free I know I’ve done it multiple timesI don’t think this is unique to this one location to be fair These hotels all seem to be incorporating this same “service” and “restaurant” this is just the first chance ive had time to explore the hotel outside just sleeping and leaving

Great location and stay The front desk evening attendant was welcoming, courteous, and attentive during our stay on August 19, 2022 We observed him several times cleaning and sanitizing the common areas as visitors entered and exited the building

The rooms were small but clean and just right for two adults and an 8 and 7 year old Nice, quiet location near various restaurants both fast food and dine-in We will definitely be back when visiting Alpharetta

I stayed at this Doubletree for 2 days in the middle of the week Luke at the front desk was extremely accommodating My room appeared clean but had a pair of dirty socks behind the headboard, and Starbucks cups and half drank orange juice in the refrigerator that I discarded myself

I used my $15 food/beverage credit as a Platinum member on the breakfast once Breakfast was outstanding Buffet was great and serviced very well Hotel is in a nice locations, everything you need in nearbyThe cleaning staff is obviously not very attentive

Robyn LC

I was a bit surprised staying here, not necessarily at the issues but how the staff didn’t seem to care or fix the issues The building is older, and the rooms appear nice, however when we took off the duvet there were some really gross stains I checked under the sheets to see if they were just stained sheets or they just didn’t change them

The stain was soaked through to the bedcover underneath the sheet, so I knew they didn’t change them It was honestly pretty nasty They wouldn’t deliver sheets to the room, so we changed them ourselves No apology or act of surprise, nothing The carpet was also sticky, like they had sprayed chemicals all over it and didn’t clean it up Way too overpriced for the quality you get, and please note breakfast isn’t included My boyfriend ended up paying $19 for eggs that were over cooked and 1 strip of bacon Y’all can keep the check-in cookie and water bottle… I’d rather just have a clean place to stay and employees that don’t treat you like it’s an inconvenience to sleep on a clean bed
