We were at a special event today at the restaurant There were a bunch of us there and appeared to be only in waitress/bartender She did a fantastic job! We were worried about getting drinks and food with so many people and only one server

The kitchen did exceptionally well to handle us all also It was a great experience and our first time here We have been to the other place in town that a lot of our friends know about, but this place is MUCH better imo! We will be returning

We came to the area for the weekend for a quick getaway Luckily we stopped in at the Hotel for an afternoon beer The staff was friendly and service was very good

They showed us The evening dinner special, haddock homemade mac & cheese and stewed tomatoes We made a reservation (you don’t need but recommend to be safe)We ordered The haddock special, which can be prepared in three different ways The food came out hot and the portions are very largeThe haddock filet was prepared perfectly, The stewed tomatoes and mac & cheese are obviously homemadeThe stewed tomato sauce is thicker and sweet and the best stewed tomatoes I’ve ever had in my lifeThey have a large selection of beer to accompany your mealWe will certainly be coming back to the Mifflinburg Hotel and Scarlet D Tavern and suggest that you come in as well

Doug Richard

The Scarlet D has good food at good prices, good people, and the owners and employees do a LOT for the community There is an intentional antiquated vibe to this place, which has been a landmark in the community for many yearsMy only complaint is that most of the chairs in the restaurant either need reupholstered or replaced, as they were definitely uncomfortable for most of the guests at my table, including me who has chronic hip and back pain

(I did get used to it after a while, but when you first sit down on a cushion most people expect to feel a cushion, and are surprised by a hard flat chair beneath their “sit bones”)All in all, a great community business!

Wow! What a great place to take the family on a Friday night I felt so comfortable both ordering and eating at this wonderful establishment From the moment I spoke with the waitress about my medical diet restrictions due to Celiac Disease, I was shown kindness and care from the waitress and felt comfort from the communication between the kitchen staff, the waitress and myself

The gluten free meals and drinks presented to me were done so with professional verbal reassurance of various label-checking measures and extra food-prep precautions to prevent cross-contact This care was given to me in such a beautiful atmosphere with good soft music playing, smiling knowledgeable staff with amazing customer service skills, and a great selection of meal and drink options that I was able to completely relax and enjoy my family The waitress made my whole night when she happily gave me a sweet, bubbly drink that she chose for me based on what I told her I liked and said to me – “Thanks for making gluten free fun for me tonight!” Well, Lewisburg Hotel, a ginormous thanks to you for a beautifully fantastic dining experience my family and I won’t soon forget I’ll definitely be back for more of your amazing “present day amenities and services” -Amy

We only stopped by this hotel to check it out because it’s a historical Hotel within Lewisburg Pennsylvania we were going to eat there but we didn’t see anything on the menu that really tickled our fancy but it seems like a pretty nice hotel it seems like you know the locals visited more than the tourists so that’s why I could not give a rating for everything I gave a rating of four only because like I said it was clean nice to staff appeared very cordial when we kind of went into kind of check the place out

The Lewisburg Hotel is so beautiful!!! The exterior is the old 1800s brick, as it was built in 1834 The inside is amazing and the woodwork will leave you in awe It has a fancy old-timey feel and the food is great! They have a very large bar that can seat 20 people as well as a formal dining room

If you are anywhere near Lewisburg, you need to go there Absolutely recommend!!!

Outstanding staff & service Stayed there for a full week and felt right at home Staff was friendly and helpful

Rooms were a little older but up to par The housekeeper saved my butt I accidentally forgot some receipts and they saved them just in case somebody called back for them When I called back, the front desk confirmed they were there and that they were mine They are mailing them to me this Monday saving the day!!! I’ve left stuff in other hotels and rental cars with ZERO luck getting that stuff back I’d definitely stay here again 😉

The staff was terrific Helpful and cheerfulThe place needs work

The door needed a paint job, the lighting was impossible to see in, the mattress was a nightmareAll was clean, but the place did not live up to prior visits to other Hampton Inn

Tina Seward

Our stay for our anniversary was underwhelmingWe were disappointed that we couldn’t use the pool or hot tub, news we found out when checking in (though the front desk explained unapologetically that this bit of news was on the website) Unfortunately for us, we used a 3rd party and didn’t know about this

Paint is peeling from the exterior doors The walls are paper thin Breakfast was below par (scrambled egg patties?) Our bed was not neatly made and the pillows looked as if they had been thrown casually on the bed The shower leaks down the back wallThis experience greatly (and negatively) differed to the one we had at another location less than 1 month ago

Only good things to say about our stay Beautiful hotel Easy to get to, but don’t mix it up with the hotel next door called country something

No outdoor pool anymore, just a beautiful pond, which we wish had less broken street lights Felt eerie walking out there in the dark Awesome free breakfast Friendly staff Only complaint I have is the lumpy pillows Paid less than 200 for a Sunday night stay This hotel has a laundry too! Sandra was great!

Renée Albe

Absolutely top Had a great experience here and will come back We had troubles with our rental car (breakdown) and the hotel staff supported me 100% until we got a replacement

Nice breakfast too! Also there is a visitor’s center adjacent to the hotel with absolutely knowledgeable and helpful staff (Susquehanna River Valley Visitors’ Bureau) Take the time to visit downtown Lewisburg – heaven for deals on antiques, gorgeous old houses! Tons to see and do in the area, worth a visit and friendliest locals ever

Beautiful Hotel! It’s not far off of the i80 interstate Plenty of places to eat & shop at McDonald’s was open late in case u have kids or arrive late (as we did)

A gas station is near by The rooms, pool, & hotel itself is very, very clean Pool is open til 11 pm Breakfast is Awesome seeming like a Buffet No matter what u stay here for, I don’t think you’ll be sorry! I almost hate myself for gloating about this place, as I want it all for myself It’s truly a Wonderful Hotel!

Decent room for the price I was expecting a little more for paying 187$ for a night there are much better option for that price

I chose Hampton because I had a pleasant experience on the pastbut not with this oneRoom is too smallTV is not working, and when I asked to change the room The receptionist states that they are fully booked and have no roomSo I ended up with No TV for the kids on the room

Nick C

Had a great stay before going to AOAA The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and helpful (despite me checking in around 11pm) Room was clean and the air conditioner actually got cold

My only gripe was the noise I heard all the noise from the hallway, rooms next to me and most annoyingly the sound of someone showering as the noise came from the bathroom drain I might have just had a weird room and frankly it wasn’t enough to ruin the stay Breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about but still nice When I checked out the person behind the desk made sure I had a good stay and then the hotel followed up a few days later Overall a great stay and I plan on coming back on my next trip to AOAA

I was looking for a budget friendly hotel to spend the night on my way back from vacation to break up the drive I had very low expectations since my experience with this hotel chain in the past have been awful BUT

This hotel Is clean It’s modern It has hot water to shower! The beds were comfortable! *yes the beds are high, so that might be an issue for some people, but not for usCheck in and check out were easy The people at the front desk were friendly and polite The ice and snack machines worked perfectly The hotel felt safe Breakfast options were awesome! You had some hot options like sausage or potatoes Then you had 3 choices of cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagel, muffins, oatmeal, make your own waffle They had toppings of various jellies and syrup You could have orange or apple juice What more could you possibly want for breakfast? No reason you wouldn’t leave fullThe only minor thing was that the pool is closed It didn’t mention that on the website My son was a little disappointed because we picked this hotel based on the fact that it had an indoor pool But, we were only staying one night and didn’t have much time to swim anyway so it wasn’t a deal breaker, but if we were staying longer, it would have been a bigger disappointment Overall, great experience

L Benoit

Stayed overnight after picking up our new pet Ko occasion was nice and quiet and the main lobby was very welcoming Staff were very helpful and nice

The website stated that the rooms either had a king sized bed or two queens There are NO queen size beds in this hotel, which was also confirmed by the front desk I recommended to get that info changed on the site to prevent any frustration from customers expecting a queen sized bed We didn’t mind and they were comfortable enough All rooms had the card keys and you would need it to also get in the building, so safety was no issue They are pet friendly and we didn’t hear any other pets even though we knew they were some I was glad that the walls weren’t paper thin Breakfast was great! Overall, we had a great stay

Christina Medvec

I highly recommend this hotel!! My elderly parents stayed here for a week, and the staff was so accommodating…from helping my parents get their mobility accessible room to helping them get their breakfast every morning The front desk and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful The hotel room as spacious and clean

The bed and pillows were comfortable Stay here if you are visiting Danville 🙂

I have stayed in many hotels, and many in the area The Country Inn in Lewisburg is terrific Right from the friendly, helpful and always conversational staff to the impeccably clean rooms

The beds are always tightly made, lots of pillows and the rooms smell clean Bathrooms super clean, well appointed and comfortable with lots of towels Lots of amenities and a great breakfast Many options, very clean and well presented Something for everyone and again the staff is very helpful and friendly If you need a place to stay in the area and can get a room, you will not be disappointed Thanks for another great stay! First off the reservation process was seamless Jennifer is outstanding We have stayed at this hotel before and they have done a great job of updating the facility to meet their high standards

We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to lay back and relax, even for a short timeThe place is one thing, the people make the placeJGS

Hotel was excellent, family trip My aunt is a smoker who went outside everytime Once they seen that my aunt was a smoker, they took advantage and charged a 200$ deposit

I have serious asthma and she would never smoke around me I’ve seen numerous reviews that this hotel will get you if they find out you smoke It’s actually becoming a big thing So smokers, be warned Do not let a pack or anything be seen because then it’s your word against theirs Otherwise, everything was well

I took my toddler camping here and it was an incredible experience I rented a boo-boo cabin and it was extremely clean and well maintained All the staff were extremely kind and helpful

Ranger Ian went above and beyond to help my toddler enjoy his experience fishing and exploring the pond We spent a lot of time at the water slides Although there isn’t staff watching the pool, the families did a good job allowing their kids to have fun while also stepping in when neededWe enjoyed the playgrounds, the jump pad, heated pool, and golf cart rental The cart is definitely not necessary because everything was within walking distance, but it added to the experience and was a lot of fun Definitely will be coming back! I’m hoping next time the concession stand/store are up and running 😊

Ron Stiffler

Very nice campground they just took over campground and are updating a lot of things We stayed in a new cabin which was very nice Nice water park and swimming pool kids were there pretty much all day they had a blast

Nice pleasant staff Lots of parking at your site We rented a golf cart which made it nice at times and of course the kids loved riding on it everywhere but you can walk easily to everything

renee pack

This is our new favorite spot! Everyone and I mean everyone was so nice, polite and helpful The rangers were always around if needed and more then willing to help The grounds are immaculate

We had a wonderful weekend and actually stayed an extra night because of it We participated in most of all the activities and enjoyed it all so much If you are looking for a place to spend a fun filled weekend with your children making memories, this is the place Renee & Matt

If it weren’t for the incredibly kind and friendly staff, I would give this hotel less than one star I’m grateful that we could have our dogs with us here, but the shape of the hotel was rough The hallways carpet is coming up and wavy and stained

Our room carpet was equally in bad shape The A/C unit smelled very musty The ceiling was stained from a leak maybe, and the wallpaper is peeling off I don’t blame that on management I blame that on ownership This hotel needs a remodel badly Unfortunately, pets will probably not be permitted then, but hotels shouldn’t be in this shape with or without pets

Christine Spoth

After a long day of driving we wanted to relax We got to the front desk and the two women there totally ignored our existence Another women who was very friendly finally helped us out

Once we got in our room the toilet wouldn’t flush They gave us a very cheap plunger even though we weren’t the ones who clogged it That didn’t work so they put us up in a new room We tried to go down to the pool but it was so incredibly disgusting we couldn’t use it The hot tub was colder then the pool We chose the hotel specifically for the pool/hot tub feature We were very disappointed!

Jamie Dixon

Over priced with lil to no amenities! Let’s start with no elevator service, no pool no hot tub that too was out of service My room floor looked as if no one vacuumed…I’m not reviewing this hotel just for complaints but improvements this is not the standard one looks for after a global pandemic simply put egg o better will think twice next time a see this brand hotel…
