Reasonably priced option in MOT where there aren’t that many options Optimal location for business and leisure activities Attractively priced

Great staff and decent complimentary breakfast and manager’s evening reception F&B However, no daily housekeeping and poor maintenance/response to service requests Notified front desk 3 times of low water pressure, lack of hot water and broken shampoo/soap dispenser No action taken Also not a fan of housekeeping every 7 daysOverall, prefer Hampton Inn and Suites on Broadway, near the airport or Hyatt House as these offer more elevated stay experience

Rebecca S. Lancaster

As a group of four we all enjoyed our stay We were able to be comfortable and not crowded The hotel sheets were great

We asked for housekeeping to come as the garbage did pile up quickly and even though the policy was to have them come every seven days the front desk honored my request and made sure the beds were made and the garbage emptied

Although it might be “pricey” for Minot, this hotel is worth every penny As you walk in, there is a huge open lobby with food to the left and an incredibly huge outdoor area The rooms are always clean and tidy

The pool is large for a hotel along with the hot tub This would be a perfect place to stay, if it wasn’t always booked booked because it’s such a great place to stay!!

This hotel was AMAZING! The staff was the friendliest staff we have dealt with in a very long time at hotels Nicole was super helpful and niceWe stayed in one of the queen suites

It had a pull out couch, ottoman, window seat and small bar setup with sink, fridge and microwave The bed was super comfy, but like all hotels I recommend getting more pillows The room was super clean and well stocked with itemsPool was nice, hot tub was cozy and warm Appeared way cleaner than many hotel pools Restroom in the pool area and towels well stockedIf you are traveling to Minot, I highly recommend this hotel

Susan K. Gillen

my stay was a little different, as my apartment flooded and it took a few days to get it dried out, cleaned and inhabitable again, so they put me up at Microtel until my apt was done The staff was excellent and always so nice and helpful It helped reduce my stress level and not worry so much

I would recommend this Hotel for sure, they make you feel right at home!

Ray Beshirs

I just checked in to the hotel, and I don’t think my air conditioning works right and the wall remote is broke There are stains on the coffee table and the room is small I read the reviews before booking, but the reviews are not correct at all

I’m really considering checking out and finding a new hotel I called the front desk and they told me they don’t do refunds even after paying for a week The front desk was not helpful and didn’t offer a different room This place is a dump

I would concur with others who say that this is a very clean hotel for the price I was leary given the low rate, but it was very clean and the staff was friendly The pool is small, and the breakfast light (although they did have waffles), but that is to be expected given that it’s not priced with the larger higher-end hotels

It even looks like it’s been renovated within the last 5-10 years I would stay here again

Jackson Rohrbaugh

Nice, friendly staff Beautiful rooms The views out the windows are spectacular after a snow

It reminds of my trip to North Dakota after the war We had finally won, and I was exhausted from the plane trip back I had very little money, all I had was what little was left of the allowance given to me by my parents i had spent the rest of it at bars and clubs in Germany, France, and Italy I needed a good rate on a clean room And I especially needed a hot shower with good water pressure, specifically 40-50 PSI After going from hotel to hotel I finally settled on the Sierra Inn They welcomed me like I was family and I have visited every third Wednesday of the month since 2015 Also visit Kroll’s diner Get the pancakes and ask for Sue

cindy kimble

The Sierra Inn is a nice hotel, the beds are a little hard for my sleeping pleasure, but I do like my bed softer Bathroom and room is very clean along with the hotel parts that I used The pool was nice and warm and I did not stink of chlorine when I left the pool

that’s a plus! Hotwl staff was always pleasant and professional, whoever o seen them in the hotel im passing and whejni checked in and out

Hotel was great for a nights stay Quiet and beds comfortable The only thing was that the coffee and the continental breakfast was less than par

Great thing was the shower was hot and strong Linens where clean and tight Check in was easy and clerk was personable

nat Johnson

First off, everytime I ran into a staff member they all were so friendly and very welcoming The location of the hotel was amazing,it’s by a Wings and Rings and seconds away from the Dakota Square mall The rooms were very clean, Front desk are in charge of breakfast, and the guy working Tuesday (August 9th) was awesome at keeping an eye on things, and even making sure health codes were followed by telling someone they needed to put a shirt on before eating in the area and held his ground when the guy started being a bit rude towards him

Whenever I come back to Minot, this is the hotel I’m staying at

Carol Clayton

Only good thing about the hotel was it was near the mall ( 1 star) Carpets in hallways and stairwell were filthy Our bathtub would not drain after shower and when we spoke to front desk, they asked what we would like them to do about it?!? We were told there would be house keeping but there was not

Will not stay here again

Went for the Shaun T event and expo The conference rooms were nice The bathrooms we’re clean the first time but when I used them in the afternoon it was kind of a mess

The space was good for the event Event was staffed and seemed very to business without an friendly personality Not sure if they were hotel or just event staff so I don’t want to say it was the hotel I can’t remember the names of the rooms we were all in Looked at the pool area and it looked great Only bad thing was that all information said it was the holiday inn but the signage on the building said a different name which really threw me off Otherwise location was nice

Tiffany Rupp

Right next to the state fair grounds Nice pool area Slides for the kids and a hot tub for your weary bones

The hotel has had a couple of renovations in the last few years Rooms are nice Nothing special but comfortable and clean Staff is nice For food they are connected to the Ground Round as well as their own restaurant The Pavilion I wasn’t very impressed with their breakfast buffet

Rebecca Hooker

Stayed here for the first time on a business trip I would definitely stay here again The employees were kind and helpful

The hotel and room was clean The rooms have the coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator It is convenient to have a lounge downstairs There is not a complimentary breakfast but there is a restaurant in the hotel that serves breakfast I did not eat breakfast here However, I ate supper in the attached Ground Round Bar & Grill restaurant and enjoyed the food and convenience of not having to drive anywhere

Great place with friendly staff Room is clean and well put together Has a shop area that is like a mini c-store

Has a lounge area serving beer and wine The breakfast area has a broad array of options The one hiccup is the hotel is way north past the airport So it takes a bit to get to shopping and food areas BUTif you are flying in or out it’s awesome

Alan Johnson

Good enoughMinor nagging concernsWash room sink and tub drains did not work properly An alarm rang from 5 am to 8:30 then started again at 9:30 It was not known that facility was pet friendly until we asked, at reception, if that was a dog barking down the hall

No one asked if we had allergies to cats, dogs or other animal’s

(1) Location is little out side of the town But close enough for airport( 2) pool is small and no hot tub

Other then that we stay 2 night and enjoy every momentI like breakfast in the morning( love that omlate station) food was fantasticand rooms are bigger

I’ve been staying here on and off for several years now and have never had many issues Today is a different story First room I checked into smelled like urine to the extent it was burning my eyes after 20 minutes in the room

After the from desk got another room for me, I happened to pull the comforter off the bed and darn near threw up Brown stains everywhere visible only with the sunlight Got a third room and the comforter was just as bad A manager texted me that their down comforters have brown feathers in them that clump together and create that appearance I’m not so sure I’m buying it You decide

Mindy Townsend

We absolutely loved our extended stay here! The room was clean and extremely spacious, like a small apartment with a fully equipped kitchen (with oven) There is a grill on an outdoor patio with fireplace, a large lobby with bar, and a really nice breakfast selection Staff was extremely nice and very accommodating

They made sure we felt very welcomed Pets are welcome, with no breed restrictions There’s a nice dog walking area as well as local paved walking trails that extend from outside the hotel Our pets even got a welcome goodie bag with travel water bowls and treats The indoor pool was a little small, but heated and very clean There’s a grocery store 5 miles away and everything else is a very short commute Beautiful views of the sunset from our room There’s a ton of history in this area and made for great homeschool field trips Would defiantly stay here again, and highly recommend

Very helpful staff, housekeepers were awesome about cleaning up after our children and accommodating their cleaning schedule to when we left each day Room literally right next to the pool and hot tub, very convenient! Great experience I have been traveling throughout North Dakota for business This was one of the last hotels that I stayed at before heading home

Outside of the building is clean, and well kept The Entrance has some cool decor and a bunch of books that you can read during your stay Rooms were clean well kept and modern The king bed was comfortable and the pillows are similar to a goose feather pillow The blanket on the bed is light and does not offer much warmth However, in the closet, they had a comforter and additional pillows, which was nice Breakfast was always good and had a lot of options to choose from The pool room was a bit small but well maintained The workout room had good equipment and overall a nice clean room The staff went above and beyond to help make your stay comfortable They gave me a book with things to do in the area, which I appreciated Great conversations and the staff made me feel like I was at home The general manager should make sure he keeps the staff he has because that’s what makes this hotel great I would like to thank the staff for the hospitality You won’t be disappointed booking this hotel

Danielle Hicks

Not bad just out of date we got a suite that didn’t much feel like a suite compared to ones I have stayed in with the same hotel chain in a different city But it felt as clean as it could while feeling old, and the staff was very friendlyEdit- I am updating from 3 stars to 4 strictly because of the staff

I forgot some stuff in our room and called and the manager was so helpful and promised to send our stuff out to us Excellent service

Mike W Higgins

I am a platinum member and I have stayed at this location over 40 times The suites are always clean, the staff is always professional, and the breakfast is plentiful During Minot’s last blizzard and snowfall of over 3 feet many people were stranded at the hotel, and the staff kept food out for the guests because all restaurants were closed

You won’t find a better place to stay in Minot

got told a rate of $120 after taxes after giving my information and they found out i’m from Canada they gave me a nice discount so it was $88 instead totally awesome!!! our room was amazing

very spacious, super comfy beds, very clean water park was AMAZING took my 3 year old and 9 month old nieces there took the 3 year old down the water slides and she just LOVED them pools were definitely aged, but still fully functional and super awesome totally will be going again also a great perk that it’s connected to the mall super happy

Ryan Price

Dirty and run down Including water park is run down, which 3 big slides where very fast! need a medium speed one Yellow one felt extremely dangerous and thought we would fly out the first and only time we went down

Hotel NEEDS major remodel to get back on track We took 4 year old, 2 year old and baby here to stay for 3 nights It’s in great location and convenience to games, water, shopping, and dining are perfect but just never felt clean and our guard was always up having to make sure kids didn’t get into all the dirty floors, bathrooms, pretty much everything Arcade and mall is really very good though

Molly Price

Absolutely filthy DO NOT stay herePros:•fridge was very cold•great location to shopping and restaurants•staff was seemingly friendly• Pet FriendlyCons:• Extremely dirty (floors in rooms, bathroom, hallways, etc… wiped the tile floors a few times and towel was black 😳)•way overpriced for how unsanitary and filthy it is – they should be paying guests to stay here!• Our toilet didn’t flush half the time and we had to manually flush it through the tank• Shower super strange (felt like a giant rocket or something – no tubs for children which I would have NOT bathed my kids here If someone paid me)• pool area also very grimy, the stairs to the slides are repulsive (thank goodness for chlorine)• slides are very dangerous even for adults – I have the battle wounds to prove it

Overall this place needs to be demolished to the ground and rebuilt It needs a major revamp Super unfortunate because the location is awesome! Does anyone in this facility know how to clean? Absolutely disgusting and disappointed! Will NOT be staying here again and will NOT be recommending this to anyone! GOOD LUCK future guests!
