Five star service at a two star price By far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at Extremely friendly staff, very safe area, amazing amenities (free laundry and an amenities cupboard where you can borrow items)

Room was very clean and felt more like an apartment than a hotel room, with a stovetop, full fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave I was absolutely gobsmacked by all this hotel offered And the best part- pet friendly!! They even waive the pet fee if you’re a rewards member I can’t wait to come back

Bad firstAs a former maintenance director and building engineer, I found sloppy and poor maintenance A true maintenance director would not let it go so sloppy

They need a good game plan to not do short cut ugly work I get they have short windows to get repairs done and most likely a shoe string budgetBut the franchise and the franchisee need to step up their gameAnd stop using fabuloso it is not a actual cleaner it’s just smell good water it does not meet OSHA standardsGoodAlthough there was some shoddy maintenance the room was cleanThe staff was nice friendlyGood amount of parkingThey even had a couple barbecues out there for people to make some barbecue hamburgers hot dogs whateverThe location’s great close to almost everything in Smyrna and just a mirror 15 minutes maybe 20 minutes to downtown Nashville But you don’t have to pay the higher Nashville prices

I’m an IHG member and I travel quite a bit for work I come to Smyrna quite a bit an normally stay at the Holiday Inn Express but they were all booked up and I’m going to be here for a week so I decided to go with the Candlewood suites Worst hotel I’ve been in in a long time! I get here Sunday night and there are dirty towels and a dirty pair of underwear left in the bathroom

Pretty upset but people get in a rush and these items were behind the door so they were missed in the cleaning they offered me a different but I told them just get me clean towels which they did Yesterday I ran out of shampoo and I’m now coming up on my third night and two days of using hand soap to was my hair which I don’t have a lot of but still would prefer shampoo At the front desk they have the sign up saying we’re helping a guest and they’ll be back But I hear someone back there so I clear my throat and her and her dog come out to help I ask for shampoo and I’m told that even if she has a gallon of the new shampoo they are going to she wouldn’t know how to change it anyway and that if I needed shampoo I would have to go buy some ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? If you’re Staying in Smyrna do Holiday Inn Express or just go to the home 2 suites or the Avid which is probably decent but a very basic IHG hotel I have 3 more nights here and I think that’s where I’m going to switch to

We stayed the night since we were going back home from FloridaI booked this hotel due to the good reviews but our room had an odd smell to it,it looked clean but I was a bit iffyOverall Staff was nice, breakfast was good

What a beautiful, relaxing, and spacious 2 queen-sized beds suite This was an amazing stay The rooms were solid

We couldn’t hear neighbors, and I don’t believe neighbors heard us The rooms were welcoming and spacious The beds were comfortable and padded I loved everything about this hotel, and so did my son and puppy We will be back, and we will stay here again Same room would be wonderful 303

We already paid in full before arriving but someone at desk, I think his name was Seth, said he would cancel the charge if we paid him $118 in cash for another room to be able to check in early, which we agreed to He gave us a key but when we entered, the room was occupied He took my husband to two more rooms also occupied

Finally we got a clean room That day I broke my arm and was in the hospital when the hotel told my husband there was a problem and it doesn’t show us as paid They tried to lock us out of the room They wouldn’t talk to us or try to contact us, we had to go to the desk and argue with the manager I told her Seth told us he called the manager when we checked in, and she said she was the manger and has not spoken with him My in-laws had a similar situation they were trying to sort out at the same time We had to write out statements and forward our booking confirmations to her and she said she would investigate but she treated us like criminals and I was ready just to walk out I wasn’t going to shell out any more money Seth had said they were having issues with new hires and booking I’ve never had such an awful experience and that middle aged blonde short “manager”was horrible to us and never refunded anything to us and made us feel stupid for falling for the scam when Seth works for her! She was too busy at the Hilton next door to bother doing her job And the pool was over chlorinatedUPDATE: the manager of Hampton Inn did give me a refund for the prepaid price

A very comfortable and clean room I slept like a baby Staff is very pleasant and accommodating

Dinner was Grilled Salmon, grilled veggies and wild rice Yummy! Trying the steak tonight Breakfast was very good The omelet made for me was perfect and the coffee on point! The pool is awesome!Although the Keurig in my room didn’t work, when I arrived back from an all day seminar, a new one has been swapped outI’m here for the next 2 daysWould definitely stay here again for a vacation!!

Toni McDonald

Mattress had springs poking me all night! Finally had to roll the bedding up to lay on – definitely did not expect this from the reviews or the amount of money I spent on this room Let the front desk know and they offered me a snack

LOL a snack wouldn’t help the poor quality of the Mattress! I wanted a good night’s sleep nor a snack

Melissa Evans

I will never stay here again The room has a mysterious substance/stain on the chair The substance on the wall in the closet is either blood or ketchup

I told the front desk so they would be aware, but they did not seem concerned The breakfast is not complimentary The queen sized beds seem smaller than a queen This place is overpriced for what they offer

In general, good hotel to stay in Modern and clean Room sizes are small, my iron was broken and my ironing board was broken as well when I needed them the most

The maintenance guy that was sent was extremely nice and quick and got us a replacement No MicroWave in room, just 1 small microwave on the first floor Breakfast eggs were beyond amazing!

flavia guimaraes

I’m in tru Hilton hotel at Smyrna TEnesse since day 10th But the cleaning here is very bad! Today i got in my room and I see this! Trash under the sink, they never changed my sheets, no soap for dishwasher, sink or bathroom… and the worse, they cleaned and left the dirty cloth above the sink’s kitchen with my sponge, ! I really expected much better service here!! hygiene is such an important issue! Disappointed!!!!!

Was driving halfway from Indiana to our home in Florida Never stayed at this hotel before but will definitely be back!!! It’s an older hotel but it was clean, spacious, staff was friendly and the area by it had a mall and several places to eat I was traveling with my 15 and 17 y/o kids 2 queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa

The price for 1 night was also great!

Nic Schilling

Very nice place Easy check in Entire facility was clean

Room was comfortable with two double beds, 4 pillows each bed, and a couch Outdoor pool which was closed due to the season Hot tub and small exercise area Breakfast was nice offerheat and serve breakfast sandwiches We were on the 4th floor end unit which was very quiet on a Saturday night

Easton Buhle

The bed was comfortable But the room seemed sketchy and the closet door was open when we got to our room And they A/C was set to 70 and on HEAT in the end of May

Would not let us park a school bus the their parking lot so we had to park across the street and walk 5 LANES of traffic to get to the lobby And then the toilet rocked back and forth Would not recommend unless you have no where else to stay

We travel a lot and choose to stay in Candlewood Suites when there’s a location near where we will be working This, by far, was the WORSE place we have ever stayed We checked in for a 7 day stay, had to change rooms after the 3rd day due to our toilet handle not working

After telling 4 different people at the front desk, with no response after the 3 days except “we will try to send someone up” ??? we finally asked to be moved to another room The room they moved us to was nasty!! Black mold in the shower, hair all over the shower curtain, sticky stuff all over the kitchen floor, just nasty I would NOT recommend! We are IHG members and we were highly disappointed The outside grounds were nasty as well Maids very rude, after putting the do not disturb sign on my door, that still went in our room (the 2nd one) and took all clean towels and left a pile of towels and wash cloths piled up on the sink Took the shower curtain down and just left one wadded up laying in the sink, which was still dirty with hair all over it, for me to hang back up Do yourself a favor and find another place to stay And, we are still arguing with them about charges on credit card they charged and that are saying to dispute it with our bank WHEN THEY ARE THE ONES THAT RAN BOGUS CHARGES! IF I could give negative stars on the rating, I would Go across the street and stay at Home2, you will thank yourself for it!

Eddie Fannin

Staying in hotels most of the year, I’ve stayed in a few across the country Some are friendly and care and some are not at all friendlyWe try to stay in IHG Rewards hotels to get points for vacations

This particular hotel chooses not to separate our points and give them to us, so only one person gets them That person is the boss in Nashville that is not even staying with us I know they can break it down but choose not toThe rooms should come with basic kitchen necessities I have no forks and spoons, kitchen towels or wash clothes and when I asked to get them was told they didn’t have any Only one pot to boil water in and all my dishes were in the dishwasher dirtyNot starting off to a good 5 week stay here

Joshua Derington

My mother-in-law’s employer put us here for a week The General Manager told us at check-in that they would honor the rate that they give mapco as long as we were here They made us feel welcome, but the night before check-out we went to extend our stay and the front desk manager told us to come back and speak to the manager in the morning as she knew nothing about the arrangement

But she was extremely rude about it, caught an attitude with my mother-in-law and I When she went to talk to the manager she was told that the General Manager wasn’t going to be in, and that we would have to wait for the manager from the night before to come in and when she did, we were told that they were not extending our stay, because they had noise complaints because my sister-in-law is Autistic and sometimes has violent and loud meltdowns, which we alerted them to upon check-in, that they didn’t care it was because of a disabilityThe white female manager on the bigger side is who was extremely rude We did get to talk to the Regional Manager who said he doesn’t override a decision like that under any circumstances, because he didn’t like it when it happened to him as a lower manager

Was not the experience I have become accustomed to, told us breakfast will be served in the morning, both days no breakfast, second day no coffee either Room had a faint odor and was musty, bathroom was out of body wash in the dispenser when we got there Lounge area does not get cleaned often – stains on seats

Definitely don’t feel good paying $450 for 2 nights for this kind of service

Karl Peter (KP)

Nice hotel near the convention center The room was comfortable and clean Friendly staff

Check-in using the App and the electronic key feature did not work The manager had no solution TV went out during a rainstorm and I was told that always happens Left a message for the manager asking for compensation of some sort, but she did not contact me-I let it drop

Kevin Mahoney

Plus side: was quiet and beds fairly comfortableNegatives: stayed as part group that had a block of discounted room’s reserved and was still overpriced Breakfast option are limited

Felt like rooms needed to be cleaned (Shower curtains clearly had not been replaced or washed in quite a while) Empty shower gel left in bathroom and replacement not available as they were outWouldn’t stay there if traveling individually

The lady cleaning the floor in the lobby when we arrived pet and talked to my anxious dog, which was super kind and helped ease my nerves about my first hotel stay with my pup Our room was very very clean and clearly had been disinfected all the way down to the carpet Even my dog couldn’t sniff out any remaining evidence of the guests before us

I will definitely be staying here again when passing through the area

Erica Fierro

Location is great close to many restaurants and shopping places including a super target The rooms are not so cleaned The walls were super dirty

In the bathroom, when you showered the whole bathroom floor would get wet The elevator was super slow and dirty Breakfast was included but we did not even tried since very little selection and did not look appetizing

Hotel was decent, staff was helpful However, a bit disappointed when I went into room and saw drink marks from cups all over desk area Definitely was never wiped down from the last guest

How hard is it to entirely clean everything from the last guests Over a hundred dollars a night for this hotel room and that’s what u get Smh, disappointing by far Lacks details extremely No need for that at all

hurleykn1

The rooms were suitable, but do not stay here if you are intending to use the lobby at all! They aren’t accommodating to any sports teams even though they were under a contract with the tournament Closed their lobby to all guest at 3pm in the afternoon because the 10 people sitting and watching a game on TV were too loud Very unprofessional staff!!! We stay in a hotel almost every weekend and I’ve never written a bad review on any other stay! Would never stay here again!

I liked this hotel and location The staff was friendly and the rooms were large and nicely furnished Do not expect luxuries, there are not many

Decent bed (not padded), thin towels, cheap paper in kitchen and bathroom These are very minor things and would not deter me from a future stay Dog-friendly, outdoor pool, and areas that could be entertaining for the whole fam!

Room was CLEAN

Room was CLEAN I’ve been traveling and noticed the cleanliness of rooms have declined generally, but this one was clean Would have preferred more fresh fruit options at breakfast TV in room was tuned so that it was bluish which was a minor irritation Front desk staff was very personable and attentive highly recommend

My first time staying at a Tru by Hilton hotel I like the casual design of the lobby and what would regularly be the pantry area neatly organized around the check in counter They even had a couple of sections featuring local products

The seating area for both the entry and breakfast eating was casual but comfortable It feels like it’s targeting a younger market but being (slightly) older I did not feel out of place There’s a nice outdoor seating area in front with a fire pit and various chairs The room was minimal and simply designed, very comfortable Near the elevator was a whiteboard showing nearby bars, restaurants etc providing information to it’s customers I look forward to staying with them again

George Johnston

Wonderful spot near everything in Murfreesboro We had a convention at the Embassy just down the street so it was close by The only complaint was the ac unit was extremely noisy when it kicked on, so much so that I set it at 66 degrees after the first night, just so it would run constantly

The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good and the staff was very welcoming Will definitely stay here in the future

lydia mason

The location was great! Not far off the highway Lots of shopping, food options etc We were pleasantly surprised at the lounge area of the hotel

Had a mini store with beer, wine, food, snacks, dog food Also, there were games as well There was also an outdoor fireplace Great family friendly place Exceeded my expectations Rooms were spotless

Stayed on business for an extended period at this Smyrna Home2 Suites location Had an outstanding experience The staff is first rate and very friendly

I like the shampoo and soap dispenser in the shower The breakfast is excellent and I really enjoyed the Belgian Waffles and fresh fruit Coffee and tea were always available in the lobby Good internet service The fitness center and laundry area is good I really like the ability to fill water bottles near the fitness center There is a gathering/lounge area with a fire pit that is very nice and relaxing I didn’t use the pool, but it seemed nice There are sidewalks and grassy areas if you choose to walk outside in the evening and the hotel is convenient to shopping, restaurants and interstate access I will stay here again, if I am in the area

Carrie Fisher

I expected a little better from Hilton, but the location was very convenient for our trip There was garbage in the can from the prior guest and no soap in the bathroom, but otherwise the room seemed clean

This was connected to Tru by Hilton, which is where the combined front desk is, so the Homes2 Suites entrance was unsecured and not monitored Breakfast was not great, so that wouldn’t bring us back It took more Hilton points to stay here than other options, but we usually prefer a Homes2 Suites when it’s available We wish we would have used less points to stay elsewhere in the Hilton chain

Colleen Ulvila

Had to switch rooms due to what the receptionist said was most likely a vaping smell Hallway smelled horrible, almost as if someone was cooking Indian food (smell did come from a room a few doors down from that kept their door cracked the entire evening) Fridge had a bad smell

Bathroom was overly tiny and bed was not very comfy for a Home2 (I’ve stayed at many) Was disappointed they were “renovating” the Home2 side of the hotel and therefore breakfast was on the Tru side (Home2 typically offers a much nicer breakfast) Furniture in room i switched to had holes in it (ottoman to be specific) Only employees I saw that were wearing actual hotel ‘uniforms’ (or even shirts) were the receptionists and breakfast lady Everyone else was wearing every-day, street-clothes looking sweatshirts and jeans Only reason I even gave it 3 stars is because they offset some of the issues with Hilton points, which i know is their standard way of trying to make things right, rather than issuing a credit

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the Inn! Victoria was so sweet, helpful, professional and provided top notch customer service and was always just a phone call away if we needed anything We stayed in the Bridal Suite and it was so cozy, quiet and comfortable The house appeared to be well kept, updated and so beautiful inside and out

It was very relaxing to sit on the front porch in the shade during the day and enjoy a quiet evening looking at the stars Such a wonderful and elegant place to stay no matter what the reason Please don’t pass this gem up! So much more than just an overnight stay!

We used Carriage Lane Inn to help plan and host our small wedding (<50 people) I simply can't say enough about how wonderful they were

from beginning to end Molly, as the event planner, is so incredible to work with While it all seemed so daunting at first, she helped guide us through it all and was always on hand to answer any of our questions The event itself was simply beautiful We kept hearing, “how did you find this place?” from everyone who attended Everyone had an amazing time From the food, the bartender, the DJ (all of whom we hired through Carriage Lane) it all went perfectly Thank you so much for making our wedding incredible!

April McArdle

My best friend’s wedding was at the Carriage Lane Inn on Saturday and it was absolutely beautiful The amount of care that went into the preparation and the ceremony is astounding Molly ran the show in a way I’ve never seen before

I’ve attended a reception here before, but this was the first time I had a “behind the scenes” look at this venue and I’m extremely impressed! I highly recommend this location to anyone in the area needing a venue with a wonderful ambiance and phenomenal client service

I have stayed here before and chose to stay again while I was in town for work The room was very clean and well put together Staff was great and checking in/out was made super simple

My only complaint was the breakfast I remember the breakfast being really good last time I stayed but this time it was just boxed cereal and some microwaveable items Not only that but they closed it 30 minutes early I sat down to eat my sad breakfast and messaged my traveling partner about what they had available but by the time he got down there, they had closed it up A big bummer!

Overall pretty nice stay, this must be one of the cheaper hotels in the area bc they were super full They even called me while I was on the way to make sure I was going to arrive Overall, rooms were clean, loved the kitchen and there was enough room for 2small kids, a pop up crib, and my wife and me

We slept in the single king bed roomYou could tell thus place has had a decent face-lift within the last few years Things looked nice but upon further inspection you could tell they were a bit older but everything was still clean and nice where it mattered Would prob stay againThe breakfast was a tad bit underwealming, but I’m also a HUGE fan of the typical diy waffle makers and they just had pre packaged waffles overall it was an okay stay

I visited the Fairfield Inn & Suites this weekend because my daughter was competing for soccer in Murfreesboro I had reservations elsewhere but wanted to stay somewhere a little more quiet I came to this location because it wasn’t too far from Richard Siegel Park and had a few options for shopping and restaurants that were easy to get to

Emone (I hope I spelled it right), greeted me with the warmest smile and high energy I was extremely tired from driving since 4am and being in the heat He went the extra mile to accommodate us and offered me a Gatorade and got me checked in a little early Most hotels don’t allow this, but I can’t begin to explain how grateful I am I had a migraine on top of being physically exhausted The room was clean, the hotel was quiet and the staff all spoke when I was in the hallway I felt welcomed, I hands down recommend this place because its been a long time since I have experienced great customer service

Sadly if I could leave a zero star rating I would This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at…… very high price for such a small room and not that nice either When booking over the phone they didn’t tell me breakfast was not included… also our toilet wouldn’t flush and our bathroom had hair all over it before we even used it

As soon as my wife and our 3 littles walked into the room I wanted to turn around and walk out and go stay at a different hotel since there is another one the next exit

Great place! I stayed there for a night and was surprised to see how nice the rooms were, the beds were the most comfy I have ever slept on! The burger bar was amazing, and the servers were very nice The location was great, I really liked how easily accessible the building was The only problem I had was with the shower in the room, it sprayed in different directions and got all over the place

Otherwise this is an amazing place to stay It’s affordable AND pet friendly!

I would highly recommend the Double Tree by Hilton Hotels in Murfreesboro,TN The staff, in particular Emmanuel, Heaven and Leader, were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful during my overnight stayI fully enjoyed dinner at the on-site restaurant, The Burger Bar

If you’re a fan of poultry, instead of a burger try the smothered chicken served with rice and amazingly fresh, young green beans with sautéed garlic Truly outstanding! The young woman, who was tending bar and serving, was very pleasant and attentiveThe property is clean and well cared for Although the hotel room was a bit outdated, as some reviewers have mentioned, I honestly enjoyed the decor throw-backI had a restful night’s sleep, thanks to incredibly comfortable bed Where can I get a couple of those wonderful pillows? I need to add that the towels were thick and soft A welcome change from traditional thin, scratchy hotel towelsIf I travel through Murfreesboro in the future, you can be well assured that if I need a place to stay, the Double Tree by Hilton Hotels will be where I make my reservationThank you for a most pleasant stay!

What can be a better welcome than a warm, delicious chocolate chip cookie That’s what I was greeted with at the check in desk It was great to have the Burger bar available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and coffee in the lobby was also a nice “good morning”

The proximity to the interstate, shopping and eateries really made my stay a “plus” The rooms were nice and roomy, but also nice to have plenty of places to “hang out” in the lobby, pool area and the Burger bar I would stay here again, if I’m ever in the Murfreesboro area
