The best reason to stay here is the location, as it is walking distance from everything you could want to explore in Gold Coast My experience here (aside from the great location) was underwhelming I booked a queen room, but upon arriving was told they had none available

They upgraded me to a king for a higher price I was hoping the king room would be worth it since it would likely be nicer, but the room was extremely small and slightly dirty There was a mini fridge, but no microwave so I had to throw leftovers away The hallways and lobby were also visibly a bit dirty and run down The staff were extremely nice, so that was a silver lining Parking was extremely expensive, and I spent about the same amount as the room on parking alone The main reason I booked this hotel was because of the spa, but their website let me book a time slot on a day they were closed, so I was unable to utilize the spa while there I have been calling them daily since then to refund the $130 I paid and have gotten no response, so I now have to fight the charge with my bankTL/DR: If you want to stay in the Gold Coast, this hotel is in an amazing location However, it is very expensive for what it is

My friends and I had the best stay at the Claridge Inn When I checked in, one of the hotel staff offered me a birthday complimentary breakfast The staffs are so friendly

The suite I booked was very nice Great view, for sure! Very roomy Had a few friends into our hotel and there weren’t any complaints Got a lot of positive feedback about the hotel from my friends, as well Most definitely booking this hotel again in the near future

Kinyana Hewitt (Suki)

I had an amazing time here at the Claridge House Hotel The staff were super sweet and helpful Ms

Cookie the Front Desk personal was Amazing!! She was so informative and sweet Which made my stay here even better The Manager was also amazing and helpful with the things I needed to make my trip to Chicago easier My view of the city was Beautiful and stay at their location was pleasant The hotel has a really cool bar inside which also serves Sushi Just around the corner you have a choice of bars in the area and the redline train station is just up the block so it was a great way to commute from the airport to the hotel It was a great experienceThe hotel itself has so many cool and beautiful design decor Which makes a great photo op for any one to take amazing pictures Also down the street on Michigan Avenue you have so much luxury shops to choose from so just take your pick Next time I’m in Chicago I will definitely stay here again

Good solid classic Hyatt Place I was actually apart of a wedding party hear not too long ago and did enjoy our stay I will say the rooms are on the smaller side for a Hyatt place and take that into account when booking

The staff was really great as well and definitely put up with my two year old toddler in ways I didn’t expect them too Will definitely be back

Claire Poppleton

Overall, the hotel was good, but there were a few things I didn’t like1 Our room smelled disgusting – like rotten food

Our room was a suite with a kitchen, so I’m assuming something was cooked I know this isn’t the fault of the staff, but it’s still quite annoying2 A few things in the room weee not properly cleaned, including chairs and the floor3 When we checked in, we were told that housekeeping would be upon request and no one would be barging into our room But after one outing, we came back to new towels, and our beds made, signifying housekeeping at stopped by This made us quite annoyed, as we were told one thing by staff, but that wasn’t true

Pengfei Z

Great experience, will come back1 Location is super convenient

Walkable to Whole Foods and restaurants in Evanston2 Parking is expensive at the hotel But there is a parking garage (Davis Center Garage) right next to the hotel for $18 per 24hrs3 Rooms are spacious and clean (Typical for hyatt house hotels)4 Was upgraded to a 1 BR suite from a Den room per my globalist status5 10minutes walk to Northwestern campusSee a list of utensils provided in the pictures

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last few years while visiting my brother in town Every stay has been wonderful Good breakfast

Clean rooms Great service Great location off of I-94 The only to be aware of is the lack of housekeeping during your stay at this property Since the pandemic started, housekeeping during your stay is by request only We have requested towels and/or housekeeping services during our stay, and they have already done a great job (we travel with two little kids)! We would definitely recommend this hotel to others

Jessica Barr

The hotel is lovely and the staff were very friendly The room was large, clean, and quiet The shades blocked out all the light from the parking lot which I loved

The bed and bedding was comfortable The parking is free and there were plenty of spaces My only complaint was the breakfast It was really just packaged food I would stay here again and just not get the breakfast option

Kendra Arthur

My family and I stayed here for 12 nights when we were moving The suite we had was very spacious (1 bedroom with 2 queen beds, living room, kitchenette) for the 3 of us and our 2 cats The staff was always very friendly and the breakfast was good and convenient

The gym is mainly cardio machines with a few free weights and the pool was a nice addition The location was great for shopping and dining and getting to where we needed to be We were very happy with our stay!

Pretty gross Our room wasn’t cleaned before we checked in and the voicemail to contact the staff was full By the time we could get ahold of them, we had already assumed the staff’s tip to buy cleaning supplies and cleaned the room ourselves

Writing this review because management doesn’t seem interested in replying to the email I sent so I am happy to let others know they should not stay here

Charlotte Caddel

We had a couple issues (A/C not working, middle of mattress collapsed) but they were fixed fast by the staff (we would have been moved into another room if there was one available, apparently, which is nice) Overall, besides that, the stay was great Really nice apartment with two beds and a fold out couch, two bathrooms, and a washer and dryer

Nearby is Loyola of course, but also places to eat (Five Guys, etc) and a CVS for shopping Plus, it’s right next to the train (subway) station Great stay, all in all

Jennifer Price

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, and the professionalism of the staff The “rooms” are more like apartments; complete with a full kitchen, sofa bed, and bedroom There are even balconies for sitting outside in warm weather! The location is convenient to the Red line “L” station, restaurants, and of course, the Loyola campus

The Flats at Loyola Station will be our first choice when visiting the city

Visited as part of a four-day stay for college tours and it was great Very quiet Loved having a quick breakfast before we set out each day

Location was great for many school visits, thanks to the Red Line Loyola stop, which is steps from the hotel The staff was friendly and active, always working to keep the breakfast area clean and restocked or helping guests at the front desk They all seemed to enjoy working there and seemed to function well as a team You don’t always get that vibe from hotel staffs

Ebony Hampton

Hampton Inn Chicago North Loyola Station is a great hotel in a great location and has a wonderful staff Customer service was wonderful Sherry and Josh provided excellent customer service

My family loved them I certainly would recommend this hotel and look forward to future visits The complimentary breakfast could have offered a few more options, but the hours were good The bed was comfortable, and my room was pretty nice and spacious I was able to get an adjoining room, so a portion of my family was right next to me I am pleased Thanks!

Jason Smith

Great hotel with great staff and good rooms, but the parking was absolute garbage The Sheridan street parking was free at night from 10pm to 7am, but then it costs like $2 per hour during the day, and no parking at all is allowed from 7am to 9am So I wake up at 7 to move my car to the nearby residential parking, and it’s all permit only parking in every direction, not normal residential

So the option is like $35 per night to have valet parking, or $20 something per day to walk down the road to a parking garage There’s no parking spaces for diamond members, or free valet for diamond members The parking is so bad that I checked out the first morning, a week early

Absolutely stunning views Great room! Staff was kind and courteous the whole time Every time they saw me struggling with my toddler they offered to help us get to our room with our things

Everything was clean for the most part Took one star away because one of the pillows on the bed had a big brown stain on it Didn’t notice until we flipped the pillows over I think it was a stain that wouldn’t wash out but it was very off-putting But great location and wonderful staff overall We will definitely be back!

Sheri W S

Luis at the front desk was very attentive and friendly He greeted me as soon as I walked up and it took less than 5 minutes to get me checked in Lobby is a fairly large open space

Decorum is nice but the seats are VERY low The night I arrived there was a NBA playoff game on in the bar, very busy area and bartenders were on top of everything My room was spacious? Super clean and lots of outlets for your phone(s) and laptop and any other electronic device Amazing view of the lake Didn’t give 5 stars because there isn’t a 24 hr market pantry so I couldn’t get a soft drink after 10pm because the market area closes at that time A minor thing but good to know ahead of time

Richard Holborow

I stayed here for a conference The hotel is very impressive and has a great elevator system, to accommodate its huge height The rooms were very spacious with their own sofa and the bathrooms offered large showering and bathing areas

Are used to room service on one occasion and found it to be very good efficient and quality of food was average My only negative point is that it is at least one hours walk into downtown Chicago so most people will need to use a taxi, Although the walk across the Lakeside promenade was beautiful and certainly worth doing at least on one occasion The area around the hotel felt safe and there are also some great areas to explore local to the hotel

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This hotel is one of my favorites in this area

I’ve been staying here for years If you choose this place you for sure won’t be let downThe staff were all so friendly, helpful and accommodating The building itself is solid, I did not hear neighbors at all nor people in the hall It was very clean, our room was huge! Well decorated and updated The location is just a few blocks from public transportation We will stay here again

Rob

Very nice hotel with outdoor no cost parking The room was clean and comfortable Downside was that the restaurant operates on the weekends, you will not be able to buy beer when the restaurant is closed and they don’t have a soda machine on the premises

If there’s a dumpster on your side of the hotel, expect some noise about 4AMEnjoy your stayPlease like if this review helps

Pros: Free parking, friendly staff, and it’s close enough to attractions We couldn’t hear other rooms, which I was a bit worried about The staff was really great and made the experience worthwhile

Cons: It’s in a questionable area, rooms are a bit dated, and no microwaves in the rooms However… they do have microwaves in the business office, which is nice

Staff was extremely courteous I booked the room the night before our stay Got an excellent room, very clean and spacious

Special shout out to the young lady at reception, upon checkout she mentioned that my daughter didn’t have a coat and that it was like 10 degrees outside Which made me realize we left it on the chair in the room I am extremely grateful for the great customer relations this young lady provided If I’m ever back in town this is where I’ll be staying I wish I could remember her name, but we checked out around 11 am on March 12 2022

Piriyatharisini Thamilselvan

The rooms were good and spacious There were all basic electronics like coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, hairdryer, iron box and table, safety locker and TV set Morning breakfast was really good and ample

The potatoes and eggs were warm and comforting In the evening the UNO Pizzeria served good The only con was the cooling cycles in rooms were bit uneven but was manageable with constant fan But overall we had a comfortable stay for 3 days with a toddler and an infant

La Reina Harris

My room was comfortable and the floor I was on was quiet The manager that assisted me when I called at 0400 while at work was very helpful, she checked to see if rooms were available for an early check-in request Luckily she did have a room for me and greeted me by name upon my arrival

One downside to this wonderful work-business stay for me, the flat-affect African American female working the front desk on 4/17 was a bit short in her demeanor and she had the nerve to say she spoke with me at 0400 Not! She clearly has no accent off any kind People who want to claim good deeds who’ve done nothing are not to be trusted, including those who lack customer service skills for a major hotel chain I will make sure to refer this hotel to my Nurse & Dr colleagues for their business travel trips

Good hotel Quite busy but patrons and staff are good citizens Room good for being a budget hotel

Can’t find better bargain Relax in indoor heated pool – good for kids to enjoy Great free breakfast Good place to stay outside of downtown Although not too far from downtown, traffic doesn’t do justice though Expect highway traffic delays as part of your trip

Wei Y

Just had a family stay at one of the corner suites The room was relatively spacious and looked great with lots of windows though we had the curtains closed mostly due to the sun The décor and the furniture were slightly outdated, feels a bit retro but still in a classy taste which I like

The kitchen area was a bit small but manageable The sink counter space was adequate but hope they utilize the extra space on the side during remodeling Tub and toilet “room” was a little awkward when opening the door since the toilet is in close proximity with the door, but the area was clean, no damages, no rattling shower plumbing fixtures and sloppy caulking job Tub drains well! Beds were comfortable The thing I loved the most about this hotel was the AC unit, it’s whispering quite unlike most other hotels The irony is, the noise from I90 was quite loud Staff member were very accommodating and friendly Having Outback right attached to the hotel worked out great The location is near the Cumberland blue line station You can walk but there is a section of the route doesn’t have sidewalk starting from Hooters So this may not suitable for people with suitcases The area feels safe overall (during the day)

Oumar Shariff

My favorite place to stay in Chicago Martha the manager is amazing and always has a smile on her face They will go all out to accommodate guests

The airport shuttle is also a huge plus Lots of choices to stay at near the airport but this hotel consistently provides excellent service It’s my home away from home in Chicago I don’t have one negative thing to say about this place They also have underground guest parking that helps with the weather in Chicago

The location is great with many restaurants close by The staff was great I arrived a bit earlier than normal check-in time but Ricky was kind enough to offer me a room (a queen bed instead of a king which I had booked)

As I was traveling alone, it was fine by me I appreciated them accommodating my request The valet guys were friendly and so were every staff member I interacted with Rooms were clean but didn’t have any complimentary water or any body lotion in the room Some maintenance work needs to be done (see picture of the towel rack) The glass windows surely needs a clean up as well

Catherine C

I arrived early and no room available, but I needed to be in a quiet place for my two very important business zoom calls Lovely Michelle helped me find a quiet place and my zooms calls went really well Ricky also helped us with a complicated request (cancel and rebook)

The whole front desk team are all nice, patient and considerate Definitely will stay in this hotel next time in town

Sarah Woodman

Beware of major renovations and dangerous parking with valet We waited for the elevators over 10 minutes every time we need one Major renovations meant that they had one working elevator

Also, multiple cars were broken into when wi to the the valet Only response we got from hotel and valet company was that it wasn’t their problem They didn’t even cover the valet cost Window was busted out and items stolen Many other quality hotels in the area that probably care more about their guests Beware!

Absolutely love it here Well parking seemed small but maybe it was that i didn’t do a full 360 of the place Lobby was beautiful and very clean

They have slot machines and a bar They offer breakfasts well The room was just as beautiful They had fully stocked bathroom with lots of towels which in my opinion is a plus instead of having yo deal with calling room service for more The toiletries were nice tooshampoo/conditioner and soap were either melon/cucumber/grapefruit There was a coffee maker, fridge and microwave in the room and ice machine on same floor

Shelley Wilkinson

Amazing visit Staff was so accommodating and helpful The area was unfamiliar to us, they gave us guidance to all the good restaurants and attractions in the area

Lilly and Maudiel went the extra mile to make sure our stay was enjoyableLilly helped us get a coat we left in our room weeks ago during our stay and even mailed it to us since we lived so far away! Excellent customer service 10 star!!!! Thank you so much!!

William Choi

Front desk: 2 of 5In-room AC: 1 of 5The AC in the room wasn’t quiet Defeating the purpose of a pleasant night of sleep The front desk also charged $50 for incidentals (which isn’t much at all), but there’s nothing in the room

What are they charging? In case someone takes a towel? I thought my reservation was for a double (bed) room, meaning two queens or two doubles, but the reservation details were confusing Tried asking nicely if the front desk could give me a two bed room instead of one queen, but she said she could not make the change as the reservation was for a one-bed room First time for everything This was the first time staying at a Wyndham, and this will be my last (unless I have no other choice)

From the time I checked in, the associates were friendly, personable, and professional The room was clean and I was impressed with the modern look of the room During the stay, I needed use of the business center

While the printer wasn’t working, the front desk representative was extremely helpful in printing the documents I needed Adhering to safety protocols, I liked that there were staff to prepare the waffles and handle the other breakfast items The interior and exterior of the hotel was clean and well-kept I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Stephanie Marie

Despite the construction in the building, the hotel was great There was plenty of parking both nights I stayed All of the hotel employees that I encountered were so nice and always willing to assist in any way possible

I was not able to use the digital check-in key through the Hilton app, but the front desk checked me in within 5 minutes The room itself was very nice and very clean The mattress was comfortable, not too firm or too soft There were lots of towels provided in the bathroom The hallways were quiet at night and in the early morning This hotel is not that close to the city, but I would stay here again for business

Clean hotel, good breakfast We ended up needing a room overnight for an unexpected flight delay so we didn’t really check out any other amenities The shower had the best water pressure I’ve had in a hotel in a while

When we checked in the lady didn’t seem super enthused to be there, but it was late The guy at checkout was super friendly Overall it was a nice hotel

My family was stranded by a cancelled flight out of midway around 1am the morning of august 11th with 2 little kids the moment I called the front desk clerk(wish I could remember her name) she was more than accommodating, friendly, and helpful When we got there she had already had new sheets on a pack and play for our son

She offered toothbrushes and necessities since we didn’t have our bags with us She made our bad night much better The front desk lady in the morning was just as great and helpful with everything as well along with very friendly The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was decent as well with that lady being very helpful and friendly as well Would recommend this hotel simply due to the customer service received

Do yourself a favor by saving yourself a headache and night of sleep Don’t stay here The traffic is so loud (even on a Sunday night at midnight)

The beds are not queen beds Our shower drain didn’t drain well so the tub filled up as you were showering The door to the bathroom was so heavy, good luck closing it or opening it The attached restaurant has excellent food but was so slow And prepare to pay $20 a night for parking…yes this is just a standard holiday inn with a normal parking lot

My wife and I stayed here while in town for a comic convention and we loved it, cannot wait to come back! The price was the best in the area while being in walking distance of our convention center and so many food options and fun things to do! The hotel itself is beautifully decorated The desk workers were always very kind and helpful during check-in or when we got our parking validated a couple of times The rooms have such a unique layout and were very clean and elegant

We got breakfast one morning and that was also pretty tasty If we are ever in Rosemont again we would love to stay here again!

Overall it was a very good experience The hotel is clean and invitingThere is a nice lobby area with a cafeteria, a bar, pool table, and they have an indoor pool and gym

Decor and ambience is very comfortableThe room was neat and clean The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable Daily room cleaning is not done unless you ask, but you are advised of this upon check inWe did have an issue with the bathroom as the floor flooded every time we took a showerBut otherwise it was an excellent stay and we would come back here for sureThank you!

The area in which the hotel is located was great, it was very safe and I felt incredibly comfortable walking around on my own to the mall across the street, and even around the entertainment district as a whole The rooms are clean, well maintained, and the staff from housekeeping to management was incredibly kind & helpful if I had any questions or concerns Jennifer, the hotel manager is an incredible human being with a heart of absolute gold

She assisted me in removing myself from a situation with the friend I was traveling with, that could have potentially turned dangerous for me, had I not relocated within the hotel I could tell that my safety was her number one priority and I will forever be grateful to her for helping me out! I will absolutely be returning to Aloft on my next trip to the Chicago area and cannot recommend it enough to others

We stayed here for 2 nights in Room 2c It was the cheapest place in the area and with really good reviews like 5 starts almost, but I have to say

it was dirty and in bad shape The bed was pretty comfortable, our private bathroom was clean but the room was literally dirty The large area rug looked like it had not been vacuumed in a very long time, the very creaky wood floor was filthy, the beautiful woodwork along with all surfaces were dusty, the robes where discusting Within walking distance of a lot of nice shops, restaurants, Lake Shore Dr, etc If you don’t mind the uncleanliness, it is a great location which seemed to be safeThe inn-keeper was a nice guy, he gives a lot of advice, the places beautiful but they need to take more care

We stayed here two nights while our apartment in Chicago was being painted It was very affordable, and they really are pet-friendly! (Nearby AirBnBs allowing cats were 2-4x the price, while hotels in the area allowing it were

scary-looking This was a rare find)We found it to be very cozy and comfotable, and peacefully quiet at night It is an old building with some creaks and groans, but that was part of the charm for us The property has awesome historic vibes — you feel like you’re staying in a 1920s rooming house! Bathrooms were private, located across the hall, with robes provided for your convenienceThe free parking was a huge perk and we definitely enjoyed having some cocktails downstairs at the speakeasy as part of our visit!

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE!!! I booked a room for two nights at Old Chicago Inn in December When I arrived, I discovered there is no onsite reception and that you have to call ahead to arrange to check-in I called and left voicemails at the number with the hotel many times over the next few days and was never able to reach anyone

I originally booked through Hotwire and paid upfront, through so far I have not been able to get a refund even though I was never able to check in or reach anyone at the hotel and Hotwire also has not been able to reach anyone there Pretty messed up and VERY EXPENSIVE since I had to book another hotel for the weekend at the last minute

The apt Is clean, stocked with everything you need for your stay

including breakfast items to prepare Plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking, clean up as well as bathroom needs stockedThe free parking is wonderful, great area for walking the neighborhood, close to restaurants, and very drivable to downtownReservations, check in and check out were accomodating and helpfulI can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our recent stay

My husband and I recently stayed in one of the Chicago monastery’s guest apartments and thoroughly enjoyed it Our space was in the church, tucked up over the sacristy in a former large storage area converted into a private, quiet, cozy and comfortable living space – it felt like a secret hideaway! There were 3 bedrooms (1 single, 2 doubles), a living room, small kitchen, bath with shower, and all the amenities you’d want, including thick, sizeable towels, a quality flat-screen TV (though not huge, if that’s important to you; it’s not to us), comfortable furniture, an inviting decor with many homey touches, and breakfast foods including various cereals, bread, butter, jam, milk, and fresh fruit Fr

Timothy, the Guestmaster, was a delight to work with and so helpful and responsive to our questions, etc He told us the monks did the renovation work themselves and do almost all of the ongoing maintenance The space is warm, welcoming, and well cared for, and the monks really have thought of everything you might need – they certainly live out the Rule of St Benedict in welcoming guests! It was a lovely space and stay and we would enjoy returning if we’re ever in the Chicago area again Well worth the donation we made Highly recommend

The setting and service is so lovely — whether in the Loft Apartment, where breakfast is served to you and you can occasionally hear the monks chant, or in the Garden House, where your fridge is stocked with breakfast items and you have a lovely deck to sit and enjoy the sun, the Benedictine B&B is the perfect choice for travelers heading to McCormick Place who want to stay in a real neighborhoodIt’s easy to get to downtown or the Convention Center by bus, and the White Sox stadium is within walking distance There’s a great coffee shop (Bridgeport Coffee), a great bar (Maria’s), and great food options (Han 202 or Antique Taco, for example)

Be sure to take in at least one prayer service when there, even if you are not particularly religious — the church is a beautiful and serene space, and the chanting is peaceful and soothingThis B&B is a hidden gem
