The hotel and rooms are excellent My review is because of Julia She met us at the door and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome

She is the person you want to lead and teach people to be in your hospitality positions! We had a long/short trip and stayed in a few hotels and never had the welcome feeling she gave to us I will plan on my next trip to see her again If I could find her, I would like to keep in touch Julia, thanks for everything! Thanks for understanding the grandma thing

A diamond in the roughVery nice hotel with comfortable, contemporary rooms The rooms are spacious and clean

The hotel staff was friendly and kind and I had an excellent experience here There is ample parking, even though it does not look like it when you arriveThe views suck, unless you like sleeping under bridges The hotel is jammed under a major highway and surrounded by concrete Despite this fact, I have to tell you that this is one of the most quiet hotels I have ever visitedSmall price to pay for being in walking h distance from the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Cincinnati Ballet, and many other great places

I am a Hilton Honors member who travels frequently and Hilton is one of my preferred flags to stay where I know the hotel will provide a dependable experienceThe Hilton Garden Inn Cincinnati is modern and maintained with friendly, responsive staff It has a small outside parking and an underground ramp garage

The restaurant/ bar has a limited menu, but our dinner was high quality, well prepared and presented I had a medium rare rib eye that was amazing, my wife had a marinated, grilled chicken fillet and she said was great We ate the bar so we had a chance talk with others who were enjoying grilled salmon, pasta and an assortment if appetizersOur room was nicely decorated and clean, but had a few problems trying to get an acceptable air temperature as the thermostat did network and the front desk said that it must have been locked out by housekeeping and that they could adjust it from their desk Unfortunately, asking to have the temperature turned down three degrees meant the air conditioning was turned on and we froze all nightIn addition, the tub drain was clogged which meant showers required ankle deep water in the tub Towel hooks were falling off the wall and the TV remote did not work, but they immediately dropped off a working remote at my requestAll in all our experience was positive and will definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to family, friends and business associates

Did you ever contact Taylor about the hotel was in this repair The elevator did not work properly It was very warm in the hotel as well

When we got into our room it was about 90° I went down to the front desk and they said they turned the air off in housekeeping when they clean the rooms and the guest turn it on when they arrive It was a sweet with only a unit in the bedroom There was a fan up in the ceiling to carry the cool air out to the living area but it did not work efficiently and it never did cool down The police were called in a hotel when my husband was down getting towels at the front desk Common areas were not clean The room was not that clean either There were only 2 towels in a room for four people Almost half of the light bulbs in the room were burned out or missing It appeared that they were trying to save money at every turn and definitely at the guest expense Pot could be spelled throughout the hotel I honestly do not know how it has this star rating or the customer satisfaction rating that it has We were highly disappointed!

Seema Khan

We just needed a place to crash for a few hours of sleep on our road trip Price is good, staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to make us comfortable when we showed up at 4am with kids in tow The beds were comfortable and was exactly what we needed before getting back on the road but the place itself really needs some updating

Carpets were really sticky and there was lots of gross hair coming up out of the clogged drain in the tub so we weren’t able to shower Also the door handle just came right off when we were trying to leave

I would recommend this hotel location to anyone Breakfast was A++ made to order station attendant was awesome

One of the best hotels ever first of all the staff and everyone there are good people and nice and always helpful the inside is beautiful and looks nice in there but my favorite part is the glass elevators which you can see through and if you’re on the top floor it’s an amazing view inside the rooms is nice it has a good smell which smells like breakfast food and the room service is well the bed and covers comfy and nice

and the best part when you wake up the breakfast is 100% free and great all kinds of options and there is no limit like an all you can eat buffet and it has a homelike atmosphere even a wonderful pool The best place to stay 5 starts Strongly recommend : )

A great stay! The front desk staff was so kind and helpful Comfortable beds, two elevators that work quickly, the gym fitness center area was newer and relatively updated which is always nice We didn’t have a car, but as others mentioned, we heard another guest talking about the complexities of parking so you may want to check that out beforehand if that’s a make or break for you

The rooms felt clean and we did do the “tidy service” where they make the beds, etc, while you’re out since they aren’t currently offering the standard daily cleaning So be sure to request that before 9am or the day before if you’re wanting it next day We’ve stayed in other hotels and they have the same policy right nowGreat customer service, and a comfortable stay with tons of options within walking distance from a small Target to several restaurants/casual eateries It’s not going to be the glitz and glam of a luxury stay, however a good value and would recommend to others

Kris Shannon

Rooms were clean although a bit too modern for my taste, therefore they seem a little cold Good staff was nice but not terribly thorough at times Breakfast was pretty good, and the pool was nice

Parking was confusingThe biggest issue is that this location must be popular with motorcyclists We heard lots of revving and racing late into the night which made it hard to sleep

Sandy Rhodes

We’ve stayed at this hotel every year, sometimes twice a year for my son’s Cincinnati children’s appointments since 2015 This year we were let down Checking in took forever

1 woman checking everyone in while 2-3 others sat in a room behind check in doing nothing Day 2 of 4 we were charged well over the hospital rate and told now there’s a $20/day incidental charge The parking garage was finicky and charged$20 instead of $12 our last day The bathroom didn’t have a fan, and the breakfast was the same eggs and sausage every day We love the location, but this trip made it harder to be away from home

My family stayed here while on a little vacation to the zoo and aquarium, during spring break For the most part, I loved this hotel Our room was clean and roomy The pool was great! The kids all loved going swimming on multiple days and the pool was always clean with plenty of fresh, warm towels

The staff were all nice and helpful We never had a problem getting a good parking spot near our entrance It’s close to everything The zoo and aquarium were 10 minutes away There is an amazing Target 7 minutes away! The only thing lacking was the free breakfast in the morning From their website it appeared that they had a wonderful selection of breakfast foods but ended up only having some type of sausage sandwich, standard cereal, oatmeal, muffins, etc There weren’t any eggs, bacon, potatoes or anything like that, so it was disappointingNice hotel, though, and met our needs perfectly

Shannon Citro

Staff have been helpful each time I’ve been here Location is super convenient for work, so nice bonus there Breakfast isn’t amazing, fitness center is a little small and ceiling is very low so a tall person on an inclined treadmill wouldn’t work

The bathroom set-up in the rooms is also very odd and a bit inconvenient for a single traveler, but I sort of get it?

Yam Jeanette

This hotel is located in a office park Everything you seen on the company website is what you will see and received Check in was clear and concise

You will have to pay for parking though so just add an extra 10 dollars a day on the days you will be here Close the the Casino 😜They also have alot of lighting even by the bed which I thought was neat Overall I liked it

Amazing place to stay if you’re visiting the zoo! The decor of this hotel is epic! The ambiance is as well! The restaurant could offer more of a selection of entrees, but overall very cool place to stay! The staff went above and beyond to make sure your stay with them was comfortable Nice size rooms with comfortable beds Very clean

Brian Ketcheson

This is one of the coolest looking hotels I’ve ever stayed in Loved all the kitschy decor over the walls in the room and throughout the property The employees were extremely welcoming throughout my visit

Parking in underground garage was secure and easy to get in and out Breakfast items are made to order in the lobby, and what I had was delicious

Skye Baker

The experience my friends and I had here was anything but amusing The rooms I must say are beautiful but with little inspection you can see how nasty they really are When we checked into our room we found a blood stain on the sheet

Looked like old period blood that was obviously never cleaned We were moved to a new room, a suite actually and given vouchers for breakfast Sounds amazing right? But no, our new room also had a huge urine stain on it At that point we were so tired we just asked for more blankets, inspected them and slept on chairs like old men And to make things worse in the morning they didn’t take our breakfast vouchers We went to the front desk and they wouldn’t accommodate us for anything We’re were also told they were overbooked for the next night so I expect more bad reviews coming soon Don’t stay here!!!! It’s cute in the pictures but not worth the stress!

The hotel is kept in good shape on the exterior and main lobby It’s right next to the convention center Free shared parking (so maybe an issue if there’s an event)

The actual rooms are clean and comfortable The air conditioner didn’t work great Just don’t pay more than what you would for a basic, clean hotelThe main point I wanted to share was their free breakfast, which is always a key factor when I book a hotel Let’s just say management runs a tight ship Breakfast ends at 9am Usually that means a hotel will stop adding new food on the counter and have a grace period for people who sleep in But here, they start clearing everything before so that nothing is out by 9 sharp!!! Even when there’s a crowd lining up for food Staff will make that point loud and clear, as I could hear one of them shout at a patron about the possibility of refills Grab breakfast early! That includes coffee and tea

Nick Cianchetti

We stayed here for two nights We arrived around 10p and was greeted with a smile by an employee named Praise The next morning at breakfast, he had an even bigger smile and was doing a very good job at keeping breakfast stocked and moving! He was there when we got back in that evening as well, with another big smile! There are people you meet that come across as genuine and I could tell Praise was a genuine person! This guy was wonderful and needs to be recognized

As far as our accomodations, the room was clean and the breakfast was good! Thank you for such a great stay!

Blue Matthews

The hotel is kept in good shape on the exterior and main lobby The actual rooms and hallways connecting them are quite dated and in need of some renovation The carpet was a bit torn up, the hallways were extremely hot, and the air conditioner didn’t work great

The room itself was fairly clean, but was a bit muggy It’s a bit dated and in need of some repair, but it’s clean and comfortable Just don’t pay more than what you would for a basic, clean hotel

This hotel is a gem! Not only is the staff extremely kind and helpful, the location is prime when looking for nearby food and shops Our room was clean and comfortable The complimentary breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever experienced! We would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a great place to stay!

Peter Xu

The room seemed decently clean asides from strands of hair in a few locations and some small trash in a corner The shower took a few minutes to warm up, but the pressure was good and the water came out from 3 different sets of holes at different heights I thought it was a bit weird that the bed faced a window with no view instead of facing the TV, but at least the TV could rotate

Breakfast was decent too

Kerrie Rossow

Staff is absolutely fantastic I will say that! Issue I had was not their fault at all Rooms could use a good deep clean as doors, walls, bed skirts, and furniture are grungy Fire alarm going off in middle of the night sucked but biggest issue was they charge you $3 for bottle of water and thats crazy! The printer didn’t work in business center and when I asked for shaving cream which sign in room said they had complimentary there was none

Beds not that comfortable and still have stiff neck Over all its right up there with some of the 4 star hotels in price and when I stayed at The Summit Hotel I was blown away with the cleanliness, comfort and staff there and will spend my money there if prices are comparable

Mermaid Mama

The entrance was clean, the Desk Clerk greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome The professionalism shown by the staff was impressive The room was clean and possessed the facilities needed for my stay

I enjoyed the quietness in the hotel My only pet peeve was the television’s size and the difficulty adjusting the picture That’s why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5

Greg Cornette

3 couples including myself stayed 2 nights at this location Upon arrival the mood in the air was staunch , by observation learned there had been a riff between employees, it aftereffect still hanging The lobby floors were muddy and trash bag in floor by elevator on 3rd floor

Mops in corners, brooms here and there randomThe manager and staff with( exception of the 2 that were cleaning rooms) were very rude lacking PR skills to say the least The second day, the coffee was empty, I informed and said they would get some made After 15 minutes waiting I went to door of kitchen to ask if was soon to come out The employee looked as me with much disgust and angry face loudly blurted out “ it’s coming” I said you need to not be getting angry for a simple question! She then used different tone This was last straw for me of enduring the negative attitude of this facility , and I spoke out to both kitchen staff and went to manager also and told Mgr they greatly need to work on the friendliness to customers, respect the customers that give respect I personally retired from retail and social work and always treated my customers kind and respectful I expect the same in return This is first time in 40 years I have stayed at a Holiday Inn that was ran so unprofessionally On the positive note, the rooms were very clean, beds were great I’m sending this to inform Corp that to assure return customers they need a corrective action plan setup I certainly will not return to this location

Great experience We stay at double tree hotels fairly often with typically great results, this was was no exception Called to see if they had a room last minute after being turned away at the original hotel we had booked due to them not having any rooms available (3rd party websites overbooked them)

The staff and manager accommodated us extremely well for such a late check in Room was clean and nice Friendly staff, great stay overall Will skip the other places and just book here if we need to stay in the area again anytime soon

Matt Hotel

Came here for a baseball tournament Stayed 5 nights Rooms need renovations

Pleasant surprise! Nice, quiet stay Bed was comfortable and room was clean Nice size microwave & fridge

Shower & bathroom was clean & roomy Unfortunately, I didn’t get to sample any of the breakfast or other amenities the hotel offered, but look to do so next time Overall, a great stay and will definitely do so in the future! 45 out of 5

Rissa Strong

Staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful However, my AC didn’t work in my room One maintenance person replaced the batteries in the wall unit since it said low battery

We thought that would fix it but it didn’t Called the desk a few more times about it that night, they did eventually offer to move me rooms but I was going through a lot and didn’t feel up to doing that so they did bring a fan up that evening which helped get me through the night The front desk rep that answered that night opted to take $50 off my stay as well as have someone come fix the ac the next day I never did get the $50 credit but the maintenence man Don came the next day and got the ac to work He was honestly the kindest and most helpful person My first night staying i was also 3 minutes too late to the drink/snack thing they offer and was told it’s on a timer so they couldn’t help me plus no food was out anymore I know it was my responsibility to be there on time but I wasn’t even 5 min late and was denied both my drinks and food which was very disappointing All in all not a bad stay The room was beautiful and clean and the staff were very friendly and did try to be helpful but I’d be lying if I said this was a great Drury inn experience The pool and hot tub were the highlights of my experience here Absolutely lovely, well maintained and the hot tub was nice and hot 😌

Very nice and well kept hotel Staff was thoroughly pleasant Check in was easy, room was ready at check in time

Room was very nice, didn’t feel cramped even with a standard King room Stayed during a busy weekend but heard no noise at all as walls seem well insulated Instead of little bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash the tub is equipped with dispensers so you have plenty Bed was very comfortable Breakfast is daily from 7-10 am and consists of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy along with various cereals, all very good There is also an evening meal served at 5:30 with a main course (varies by day), sides and snacks as well as 3 free adult beverages per guest, all meals served in a nice common area at no additional charge Parking is ample and hotel is easy to find Will definitely return

The room and facility was fairly nice and clean The beds were relatively comfortable and there were plenty of pillows Personally, I think if you know there is a family staying in a room, you should put more than two towels in the bathroom, especially since they don’t clean rooms daily anymore due to COVID

We called before our stay to make sure we could swim in the pool We were assured that the pool was open When we got there, the front desk lady told us it was open, so after we got back to the hotel after our day in the city, we got dressed to go swim When we got down to the pool there was a sign on the door that said closed I totally understand that stuff happens But I’m super tired of staying at hotels and the pool not being open I pay for that amenity in the cost of my room If it isn’t working, which it was not for the duration of our stay, there should be some type of discount on the roomLastly, and this is the reason for two stars instead of three or four, the staff was less than professional The breakfast staff lady was so rude She cut off customers when they tried to alert her to coffee running out, she was gruff and literally huffed at people when they were just trying to get food There were several people that were talking about her lack of service this morning during breakfast The front desk workers spent most of their time sitting in the lobby on the comfy chairs and on their phones They were nice enough, but if I owned this hotel, I would not love this look Employees just lounging about the lobby on their phonesFor the cost I guess it was fine But due to the pool and the rude staff, I probably wouldn’t stay here again

This hotel was incredible!! The girl working seen me outside in my wheel chair waiting on my husband to get our things from the car and she brought me a blanket and covered me completely up I was cold and soaked from the rain Such a genuine hearted soul

I felt accepted and it made me feel so good inside after a rough day The bed is so comfortable and just the lay out of the rooms and the bathroom is amazing The break fast with sausage gravy and biscuits is amazing I almost stayed a second night if hubby didn’t have to be back to our home by morning for work That pool is nice A bit chilly but nice I felt love, comfort, and a sense of safeness being there We will be returning in a month to go back to the Newport aquarium and I cannot wait to stay with you guys again

Location is close to downtown, but not right in the thick of downtown The room was nice For some reason our room had only 2 towels, 2 face clothes

I assume they are cutting back because of raising expenses inflation related, but it was not what I was used too I usually take photos but forgot to for some reason The room is slightly larger then a standard king bed room at other hotels There was no bag for the ice bin, no tissues I like the bathroom!!! The tub had a very modern design with a large drain slit The soap shampoo and conditioner bottles were in a holder on the wall I would recommend this place

I travel a lot due to my son playing AAU basketball and I must say, I was extremely impressed by the staff here!! I’ve never stayed at a hotel with such a friendly staff The lady whose in charge of breakfast has an outstanding personality She greeted everyone who came down & made small talk with the kids

I wish I would of caught her name so I could of gave her a personal complement on here I stayed Friday 7/8/22 and she was the younger black lady in charge of breakfast on 7/9/22 Please let her know she’s doing a great job! Also, the 2 gentleman that were working that morning as well Thanks for a great stay and having such an outstanding crew! The Jarrett’s

Great stay Short staffed, but the staff that were working double shifts, were friendly, helpful and happy Housekeeping was not a highlight

I had to request toilet paper and towels on check in because there wasn’t any in the room The room itself was very clean though I stay at this location everytime I come into town, will be back again

There are a lot of food and shopping options nearby Plus, Kim, Harold, and Gene are excellent Their customer service is impeccable I could check in early, and so was my whole family We are hosting our family reunion here We have many rooms (at least 20), and they are very accommodating Thanks so much for the excellent service and food!

We love to stay here on Halloween We have dinner, get dressed up and then go out on the town The hotel is a beautiful, historic gem and the charm is amplified during the holidays

You won’t sacrifice amenities as part of your experience The A/C is cold, the showers have spray options and the room televisions are ‘peekaboo style,’ hidden behind paintings when not in use I booked my mother in a room here a few months ago and she actually took video of that feature to send to the grandkids since she knew it would impress them If you’re interested in fantastic food, check out my review on their in-house restaurant, the National Exemplar

Very friendly check in Staff were very helpful Rooms were clean

No lobby coffee in the evening when we checked in, but I was able to make some in my room Not the fanciest of hotels out there, but the location is hard to beat Such an easy drive to the zoo Decent pool for families, not huge but definitely kid friendly Free breakfast included The breakfast had a great variety of items, everything from hot food to yogurt cups and fresh fruit

Spent one night here- place and room felt clean, staff was nice, has a warmish inside inground pool (however is kind of on the small side), shower was hot and plenty of water volume/pressure Fully functional microwave and fridge in my room Did not feel dated

Breakfast was hot and had an adequate selection That being said; bed was one of the hardest I’d ever slept on, the provided ear plugs were necessary to sleep to drown out the neighbors due to the lack of sound proofing in the walls and floors, there was an additional $9 parking fee to keep a car on site (unheard of!) The windows don’t offer much view It’s just as well I suppose since the entire area is kinda sketch; I fully expected my car to either be broken into in the morning or be completely missingStayed at this location due to the proximity to the zoo Not bad, but not great either 3 stars

Overall a good stay The employees were exceptionally kind, and informative The hotel and rooms were clean, and inviting

The location for proximity to touristy things was great If you’re a light sleeper or unable to handle exterior noises this isn’t the place for you, with the hospitals so close you get to hear all the ambulances While not a 5 star dream stay you can definitely feel the Hilton touch while here

The customer service team was very poor and unwelcoming My entire family noticed the difference in treatment of customers of different races Our room was never cleaned during our stay and we never received clean towels

Anna was very nice and extremely helpful, but the other team members were not Our refrigerator never worked We informed guest services and they never resolved the issue The room keys were deactivated a day before we checked out as if we were not welcomed I had to recheck our room rates with customer service because we were over charged If we had an amazing experience I might have been willing to pay the higher rate but it definitely was not worth it We will NEVER stay here againGuest service team members should be welcoming and helpful, they were not In addition to that they never discussed with us what was included during our stay At breakfast we were pretty much watched like a hawk by one of the team members, a young black female with braids and glasses We had no idea that there were different breakfast packages She did not inform us of this until I walked up to her as she was standing guard as if we were not welcomed, and I asked her about the different breakfast choices She said “one second ma’am” as she raised her finger to quiet me while she answered a young Caucasian male She proceeded to tell me that I needed to have a blue breakfast slip in order to receive items from the buffet Later I overheard her explaining to other guests that they could purchase items from the buffet, she never gave us that option

This place has gone downhill since our first of three stays starting in 9/2021 This past stay was by far the worst Room was dirty, broken lamps, refrigerator didn’t work, and the ac unit wouldn’t effectively cool the room due to dirty air filters so we slept with windows open

Others in our group were moved twice before finding a suitable room Others had room issues like me who had not other choice than to deal with it and vow never to stay here again

Gear Head

Disgusting One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at in my life The water was slimmy

From the shower and faucet like well water I tried running it for hours but it still felt like I was swimming in a lake Black mold in the shower Terrible breakfast was served cold McDonald’s is better Room hadn’t been vacuumed I asked for extra towels and I’m told to speak with the manager in the morning I saw reviews about bed bugs so I searched my room and didn’t find any but after 3 days I feel dirtier than when I showed up because of the cleanliness I can not wait to go home and take a real shower I will never ever be back If I have to come this way again I will be sleeping in my car over this hotel Econolodge is better to be honest Just dirty Also the staff blaring shark weak if you have to go downstairs for anything Just unprofessional
