Had the King room Was clean and comfortable Larger room than typical room

Also had a couch Assume it is a pullout, but we didn’t need another bed so never checked It was nice to sit up rather than having to sit or lay on the bed Only thing is a loud bathroom fan, however not a big deal Breakfast was what I would expect from a hotel Staff was pleasant Never used the pool so I don’t have a comment for it

The room was clean and the location was good as it was off the freeway However, the customer service treatment was extremely poor and the noise was horrible I made the reservation a month ago for multiple rooms

When I realized I need a connecting room, I immediately called the hotel I was told they was put my request on my reservation At 4:00 PM of the day of my arrival, I realized I will not arrive at the establishment until 7ish, I called the establishment and was informed I will not get a reconnecting room And, the room will not be next to each other The room will be several hundred yard apart I was already disappointed I didn’t get a connecting room However, I was extremely upset when I check-in, I discovered that the two rooms are indeed several hundred yards apart and it will be separate by the elevator My room was next to the elevator and the other room was on top of their the dinning room Throughout the night, the elevator kept waking me up I previously stay at this establishment and had an exceptional experience Now I am regretting my decision If I am in Burlington, WA, I will seek other establishments Or I will drive a little further north or south of Burlington and staying at other establishments I understand a connecting room may not feasible but I find it hard to believe that the hotel cannot put the two rooms next to each other or across from each other Throughout this ordeal, the hotel didn’t apologize except we may not able to accommodate your request With the amount I paid for this establishment, I could have stay at four or five star hotel

Sadly, the Hot tub was out of order during my stay It is quickly becoming a joke with peers, like how the ice cream machine is down whenever you go to that fast food burger joint, all three of my stays this year at every Holiday Inn have had at least one day, if not all three where I could not use pool or hot tub facilities At least this one had proper posting and signage

The pool facility is very nice looking and well kept Additionally, I had the print out from the big name corporate booking, but since I was not entrusted with the corporate credit card, the desk agent didn’t move past the reservation number At least it was explained the need for their internal CCA form, so I can avoid this problem of having to go back and get the stay expensed out None of the other coworkers encountered this issue in their front desk experience The breakfast was good, coffee is in a separate area, along with the kurig in the room I liked the lighting and furniture in the room, effective use of the space for spreading out Got a fair amount of work done in the room

My husband and I love The Heron Inn and Day Spa! Alvin and Lola(his cute dog) are the very best every time we visit The rooms are always spotless and you can tell staff here take it seriously and work really hard to provide the best for everyoneWe love hanging out at the fireplace and enjoying coffee and tea before we go to bed

Breakfast is healthy, and fresh and I’m not sure if we book it for the wonderful rooms and people or for the breakfast Thank you so much everyone at The Heron!

kelsey thompson

The room was clean and the inn itself is accommodating and quiet The bed was pretty uncomfortable but I feel like the beds at hotels and inns are rarely idealI’m putting 3 stars mostly due to mine and my spouses spa experience

We paid for 2 different packages and were not impressed by what we received I got a mini facial and a 60 minute massage and he received the head to toe package My facial was probably the saddest facial experience I’ve ever had She cleansed my face and put a sheet mask on it and called it a day The facial was supposed to be 30 minutes but most of that I sat there with a sheet mask on My spouse got the head to toe which is supposed to include a scalp massage and the massage therapist spent maybe 3 minutes on his scalpThe inn is cute and we love the town but will forgo the spa experience

Sasha Wallace

We went here for our honeymoon in July From the first moment, Alvin was solicitous, kind, and knowledgeable He moved us to a bigger bed – without us even asking – and even printed out restaurant menus for us when we were searching for seafood (his two recommendations, Nell Thorn & La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib, were delicious!) The room (21) was spacious, comfortable, had a fridge, had adjustable window unit for AC and a rotating fan, and was clean

It wasn’t too noisy despite being on the second floor Breakfast was tasty – scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, coffee, and English muffins, with fruit and yogurt Parking was easy and free Everything was within walking distance and there was even a cherry tree outside our window I highly recommend this slow-paced, friendly slice of tranquility Thank you Alvin and Kam for your hospitality!

If what you expect from a hotel is a bed and four walls then this place has you covered, barely though Cheap hotel doesn’t even begin to describe the sub par accomodations Most of the people working here were friendly when I spoke with them

However, not much was done in terms of making it a nice place to stay Linens in the room seemed mostly clean The carpets were another story Stains and smell prevail At least a place like this has a free breakfast buffet We all know what to expect but when I come down at 7:30 to find no plates and most of the fresh food gone then I start to question everything else A chain hotel should at least offer a clean and adequate experience This hotel couldn’t get any of that right

K H

This BW is easy to find in a quiet business park location with plenty of parking We stay here often The staff has always been friendly and professional

The building is older with large spacious rooms Beds are comfortable and our sheets, pillows and towels are always clean and freshThe hotel offers their complimentary breakfast in a secure room just off the spacious lobby Hand sanitizer is prominently placed as you enter the room Hot and cold meal choices are offered with fresh fruit and standard cereal choicesThere is a nice Mexican restaurant a few steps from the hotel

Katelyn Collins

The room wasn’t very clean, if it were up to me I would have left The linens had long thick black hairs on them in places and the carpet had stains The building is extremely outdated and not in a great area

Shower had hair, too, but got very hot and stayed hot so that is goodWe went down for breakfast in the morning and opened the door to the breakfast room and were met with an extremely musty, unappetizing smell Not only that, but they had allowed someone to take their dog in there Keep in mind, counters and tables aren’t super high So we just turned around and left, the smell + the dog was too much Didn’t look like it had a service vest on or anything like thatWouldn’t stay again, I would suggest crossing the river and staying somewhere in the more populated area for $10 more Staff was nice and room had plenty of space, other than that not a great experience

We stayed here about 4 months ago and are going back tonight while visiting Oak Harbor Our experience with The Coachman Inn has been wonderful This is now our go-to place when traveling in this part of Washington

The staff are friendly, the rooms are very clean and cozy Excellent beds! Although it’s a little motel, the decor is so well done it brings on the feeling of a quaint German town style, which gives it a fun and unique feel We look forward to our stay this weekend again, and have no doubt we will have a lovely stay, as always!

J Fost

My room was super clean, bed was very comfortable and location is perfect The staff was professional and friendly you can tell these folks take a ton of pride in their business, a rare trait Truly restores my faith in humanity!!! Real fast was wonderful and I would gladly stay here again

I highly recommend to anyone wanting a top quality nights rest!! A++

Crystal Riches

It is an adequate place to stay that is close to restaurants and the beach It is pretty outdated and the pool is very small for the amount of rooms The complimentary breakfast was literally Jimmy Dean sandwiches and store bought items

They did have fresh waffles which was niceThe AC units don’t reach the separate bedrooms and made sleeping very uncomfortable and loud with the window openThe amenities were clean and enjoyable, nonetheless

I landed at the Candlewood Suites after a pipe burst in my home forcing me and my 80 year old mother out to a motel This place was great, with clean rooms, friendly and well organized staff who were very helpful if we needed something The motel despite being pet friendly smelled fresh and even being as full as it was, the rooms were quiet and peaceful

I didn’t have any real negative experiences, so I give them a well deserved 5 stars!Rooms 103 & 106

Marc Hendel

Everything about this hotel was great The staff was very friendly and got to know us during our stay The hotel was very clean as were all of the contents of the suite

Free laundry was a bonus and the machines were newer and clean Even their little honor system store was nice Prices were actually reasonable and items can be charged to your room I would highly recommend this hotel

Mark Todd

Typically a 4 star Comfortable bed Good bathroom

Large fridge Small kitchen2 issues addressed were electric stove burner fell apart (fixed immediately) and ice maker in freezer did not work, (were given a bag of ice and the ice maker was fixed when we returned from outing) Issue not fixed but did not inform, door to room sticks hard, you have to really force it to openKudos to staff for fixing things right away but at the very least, they should have known the stove was broke and the door was stuck Housekeeping would have known simply trying to enter and cleaning the stove Housekeeping needs to relay issues to management to address They are the front lines of the rooms being properly ready If they did indeed report it, management needs to get on the ball and address these issuesWe would definitely stay here again and do recommend if you’re staying in the area, especially having a kitchen

Road Tripper

I love the whole Victorian feel of Port Townsend and the Water Street Hotel carries through on it Very nice old time (with modern conveniences) hotel Be prepared for the steps if you’re on the 3rd floor

Very cool interior with red plush carpeting that keeps with the Victorian theme Exploring the hotel found that it offers spectacular views from some of the balcony areas The lobby also offered up a few trinkets to remember your stay

Jennifer Forsberg

This place was absolutely beautiful The room was huge and perfect the windows were stunning the view was just absolutely beautiful Completely worth the money even given the stairs

ROFL if you stay on one of the upper floors be mindful of the stairs but they are in absolutely no way a deterrent I’d climb those stairs a thousand times to stay in that room! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay my husband and I had a great time in Port Townsend!

Debbie Terwilliger

Love this place! Stayed only one night in room #11, which faced onto Water Street, which was surprisingly quiet (even with our window open) Room was large, high ceilings, comfortable queen bed Cool antique furniture

The whole place reminds me of my nana’s brownstone in Brooklyn (built around the same time I’m sure) The staff was very friendly and helpful We’d definitely stay there again

Steve

Usually when you book in advance like 2 weeks out, you would think that you would get a better rate… I booked at $17910 before tax almost 2 weeks before my arrival date, but when I checked their rates on my check-in date, the same room was listed at $13000

What a joke Also, this place is extremely noisy Paper thin walls so you can hear everything the weird next door people are saying and doing at 2am None of the doors have the door closer calibrated so all the doors are constantly slamming shut when you are trying to sleep The water heater broke and so there was no hot water on one of the nights and one of the guest told me they were still selling their rooms without mentioning there is no hot water When we called the front desk to ask what was happening with the hot water, they didn’t bother answering the phone They were pretty rude in general The gym never had any towels available, so you have to get them from the pool At least have some decent coffee but no that’s asking too much I would never recommend or come back to this place

Vladislav Vancák

We only stayed in the hotel for one night, and overall the experience was quite positive – the room was (by my standards) very large The beds were OK, a bit squeaky in places The shower was nice, but the door handle was very loose and will definitely come off in the upcoming days

Unfortunately, we found some hair in the room lobby and in the bathroom After we complained, the front desk lady gave us a vacuum and we had to clean the floor ourselves However, given the price tag for this place I’d still recommend this hotel – yes, it’s not the most modern or fancy, but it’s still a decent place for a fair price

Jack Otto

Booked a room here for my mother in law who was getting treatment at the hospital Super clean hotel and it’s relatively new Hot breakfast every morning

Fitness room and indoor pool as well I wished I was staying here Super friendly staff too If you are looking for a hotel in the Mount Vernon area be sure to check this hotel out!

We had a wonderful weekend here It was reassuring that they are very covid conscious and checked that we were vaccinated The charming rooms are clean and cared for, and our king-sized bed (with a view of the water) was very comfortable

The staff is super friendly and the breakfasts were fantastic Kimberly (chef & gardener) had no trouble adjusting for dietary restrictions We enjoyed playing backgammon in the basement game room The location is a 10-15 minute walk into the downtown area and we left our car parked at the inn while we walked everywhere, even out to the lighthouse We usually do Airbnb because I like to cook, but for a weekend away to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary, a traditional B&B fit the bill There are loads of great restaurants in town too

Katie Stemmene

Dubious establishment Made a reservation and received confirmation, but they conveniently failed to mention there is no check in after 11pm Still trying to get a full refund

After reading reviews here and on Yelp it was a blessing When we contacted staff in the AM they were rude and uncooperative We could smell musty urine odours wafting in the foyer and it is evident the place is dirty and unkempt Avoid this place, there are other options nearby

Wonderful stay and can’t beat the location in “downtown” Coupeville! Very short walk to all the restaurants there and the wharfDave and Maggie were beyond accommodating as hosts They took over the inn a few months ago

Very kind went out of our way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we neededBreakfast was great too!Stayed here along with another couple My room was the Crow’s Nest Suite – a little more expensive but worth it because it was VERY spacious and had a sitting area where the four of us could hang outBeds were comfortable Bathrooms had new showers with rain style shower head

3) Friendly staff4) Good free breakfastNegatives:1) Had to get key card for room reprogrammed 3 times in 4 days2) Don’t stay in the 102-116 rooms these are allowed with pets Unless you like barking dogs at random times3) Roofing one side of the motel So hammering non stop all 4 days from 8-5 pm

Stayed one night a while back, room was clean and had no unusual smells Bed was comfortable, but the best part was their hot breakfast Not many places have started that back up and I miss it, the food was typical for hotel breakfast, but tagged better because I missed it

Staff was friendly and helpfulI have 4 stars because there was noise from kids and other rooms Thin walls appear to be the new way to save a dollar on building cost, but other than the nose it was a good stay Good enough that I’m staying again this weekend

Jeff & Annie Calhoun

Pet friendly which was a big deal for my stay and they made sure my pup was as welcomed as we were Rooms were very clean, spoke with housekeeping outside of our room and they were so polite and helpful to our needs! The breakfast was great bonus and my only issue is with other pet owners, clean up after your pets! We will be back soon and will definitely make this our place to stay!

Chris Mills

They have a nice clean smell that they pump through the air ducts, so it smells pleasant and clean everywhere Rooms are basic, but clean Found a to go box of food in the back top of the refrigerator that wasn’t ours, so I have to deduct a little for that

The pool was nice, but small and a little cold and the hot tub was nice, but more like a “very warm” tub and the jets seemed to actually make it feel slightly less warm The three coffee carafes that were still out in the lobby in the evening we’re all empty, except one that was one cup from empty and seemed to be left over from the morning There were no other beverages offered in the lobby except water from a drinking fountain Overall nice, but packing in some of the finer details

We stayed in a cozy cabin

which was just that, a cozy cabin Our daughter and son-in-law stayed in the king suite, which was charming and very spacious, but they said lacked a few expected amenities ie: lovely writing desk, but no paper or pen lolThe staff was very motivated towards making our stay as comfortable as possible, so, overall a good value and a very nice accommodation 👍

Bennita Durrenberger

So my mom and dad just checked out of here They didn’t even stay their one night The room was advertised as a king room with a jacuzzi tub, this being their first time and a date weekend they figured it would be great

They were wrong They arrived to find that the tub was slightly above the size of an average tub and the beds were hard as rocks and not a king size When my mom went to inquire about why the jacuzzi was so small and why the bed was smaller then advertised she was told she was wrong Again when my mom inquired about a manager she was told that the establishment was recently bought out and the new manager was never on site To the extent that the front desk didn’t even know her name My parents resigned to stay as when they asked to be moved to different accommodations they were told they would have to pay the cost of their orgional reservations plus the cost of the new room My parents returned to their room and decided to be okay with it until no tv remote of towels could be found d in their room This place is false advertising I have no doubt it used to be great but not anymore

We walked in without a reservation and luckily we were able to get a room at this AMAZING Inn It was walking distance from the coast and also to the couple of restaurants on the main stripThe room was great as it’s a perfect example of a coast town hotel

The woodwork of the hutch downstairs in the lobby was a delight 😊

We were here for the weekend, and we really enjoyed our stay We had breakfast provided, and all the things we needed I really enjoyed the little balcony on our room and we slept quite well

I will definitely return to stay here- such a cute place near the wharf and a park We saw a lot of deer nearby, and it was walking distance to the restaurants and shops nearby

We loved every moment Customer service was excellent; we were treated not like guests, but like family A coffeemaker and the next day’s breakfast was brought to us

Everything was very clean and organized We also loved the paintings on the wall, and we thoroughly enjoyed having a cute balcony The attractions around the hotel were a great place to spend the sunset Many sweet little stores, a pier over the water leading to a gift shop, and a little park behind our building We also saw a few deer along the way After the little park, we went down to the shoreline behind it, where we waited for the gorgeous sunset Our night was great as well—no loud noises—and we slept peacefully Breakfast was yummy! Thank you so much for all of your service and amenities We absolutely recommend staying at this hotel if you are around the area Thank you Coupeville Inn, and we hope you keep up the great work!

One of the best if not the best Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at, and this is my normal go to hotel Seemed exceptionally clean and the breakfast options/quality were above average Location is in a quiet and secure felling area

There is easy close access to gas, groceries, restaurants and some shopping My room was set up well the bed was comfortable, it had a nice TV with a fairly large variety of channels I spent three nights there and I found no real negatives with the hotel

A true pet friendly hotel They have a fenced grassy area that was so great for our dogs Breakfast was very good with lots of options

Rooms were clean and comfy All of the staff that we met were pleasant and helpful Located near lots of restaurants and shopping One of the things I noticed is how quiet it was even though the hotel was full If we are in the area again, we will stay here

Ian Stroszeck

Had a great nights sleep with an excellent free hot breakfast in the morning Very clean and modern decor too Staff was courteous and kind

Only gripe with the room was the barn door bathroom doors They have HUGE gaps that make using the bathroom, if staying with someone else, not feel private Noise-wise too Definitely not a deal breaker especially since most of the Hilton hotels have them, but I really wish it was just a regular door, or at least a door that somewhat sealed

Very well kept and refinished old home

had some concern going in about possible road noise and/or noise from other occupantsnever once did I hear anything from another roomand since the town basically shuts down between 7 and 9, there was virtually no road-noise to be hadThe cookies that they leave for the guests are out-of-this-world fantasticbreakfasts are fantasticoverall just a very memorable and relaxing stay Love this place

This place is amazing The inn is very quaint and well decorated We stayed in the Captains Quarters

I recommend this suite if you’re staying a few days It is very spacious! Jessica the owner is an amazing baker and leaves cookies for you every day And they are delicious!!! Also the mornings are pleasant since you have breakfast and yes you guessed it, Jessica the owner makes you breakfast Her breakfast is plentiful and very good She’s also very nice and had great conversations with her The grounds are super nice with outdoor seating and heaters They even provide blankets if it’s a little cold out It is located in a very great spot for traveling in/out but may be a bit noisy due to the proximity of the road The road noise didn’t really bother us though You can tell the owner is really passionate about what she does She made our short stay very special We would give 10 stars if we could

Such a unique and memorable stay! The amenities are all above average, but what you’re really paying for is the experience of such atmospheric rooms and an A+ location This is located right in the heart of Port Townsend (three blocks from the ferry) and within walking distance of so many cute shops and restaurants I loved soaking in the history and watching ferries come in and out while enjoying a quiet cup of tea in my room

Beautiful place!

My teens and I spent 3 nights at The Palace Hotel last week and I can’t say enough good things about this unique hotel Spotlessly clean, filled with history and antiques, cozy communal sitting nooks filled with books We stayed in a loft room which was more modern, beautifully decorated to incorporate the original exposed brick, a kitchen with everything you need

Every time we walked the many staircases to our room (no elevator = good workouts) we enjoyed looking at the art and furnishings All the hotel amenities you need but with the warm and cozy feeling of staying at grandma’s house Will definitely return

Rashmi J

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the palace hotel Check-in was a breeze and they call you in advance to collect details which makes things so much easier The parking lot is right behind the hotel which is convenient

The rooms are so beautiful and charming and even though the hotel is old, it is very well maintained and clean Will certainly stay here again! Just a heads up, there is no elevator but they communicate that right at the beginning so we were prepared

My family had an amazing stay We were on property for two nights and enjoyed the eclectic, historic atmosphere, exceptional food and some unique encounters with nature We enjoyed playing the family games, lounging together in the tree net and observing a recently born seal pup hanging around the doc

We named him Seymour It was a great time and the staff was amazing Don’t miss the morning coffee, party and quiche offered in the little shop on site The restaurant was also amazing for dinner-exceptional chef

Two night stay at Captain Whidbey and wow, what an experience!!!!Walking up to Captain Whidbey building, we could see right away it has a lot of history The big red door to the front desk is also very charming and the decor on the inside was all so beautiful 😍 🤩My husband and I booked the garden view room for two nights and they upgraded us to the Captain’s Quarters which has the view of the bay It was breathtaking both during the day and at night! We sat out on the porch just outside the bar to take in the night view of the bay and suddenly felt the need to sip on some hot cocoa

Laura, the hostess, was so so so sweet and provided us each with a mug of hot cocoa! 5 star hospitality!!!We will definitely be visiting again in the future with some of our friends to let them experience the great hospitality and experience of Captain Whidbey Looking forward to more Whidbey Island adventures!

I cannot say enough good things about Captain Whidbey I have stayed in the main lodge and the Glasswing Cabin and both experiences were phenomenal The staff is exceptionally kind and accommodating, they will go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable stay

The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and relaxing The restaurant & bar in the lodge is incredible – Stephanie is by far the best waitress I’ve ever had She has the best vibe of anyone in a restaurant I’ve ever encountered! Not to mention the food is locally sourced and delicious with exceptional cocktails to pair If you are considering a relaxing but lively stay on Whidbey, look no further than Captain Whidbey I will surely be back again
