I have been coming here for years If you choose this place you won’t regret itWe were welcomed by Felix at the front desk He perfectly fits the description of excellent customer service He was funny, very helpful and friendlyPlease keep this gem around by any means!Hotel was nice and clean, standard hotel amenities, but the customer service really makes it stand out!!!

Debra Clough

After driving all day, we were tired and this motel was convenient off of I-95 Felix, at the front desk was so nice and friendly He is the picture of customer service

We had drinks and a meal at the bar The waiter was great and had our drinks and meal within a few minutes Yes, the meal and drinks were expensive, but I expect NYC to be more expensive than home The convenience of not having to leave the motel for a meal was worth it The room was clean and comfortable

as a longtime employee of Hilton I know great service when I see it I can tell that the front desk staff are trying their best to accommodate their guests, and I can see that the food and beverage team are experienced at the business of hospitality The food was great and the room was also very well maintained

The best part, This place is right next to William Paterson University So if you need a place to relax after finals, this might be the place to go

Jeane Spada-Allgood

Lovely hotel, but get a room far from the pool! I would love to give this hotel 5 stars – it was impeccably clean, comfortable, and in a nice location However, noisy guests coming and going from the pool were a major problem They were rowdy and loud and the pool is open until 11 pm! I was not provided another room when I requested one due to the noise

Leli B

Based on the previous reviews I see this location is known for overcharging their guest or making up rates! I booked my stay for a specific rate and Leidy from corporate confirmed and when I called the hotel Mike gave me a different rate and after 5 mins it went up… yes this is just as confusing to me! I told him to call corporate to confirm and instead called a third party company and gave me the rate they were offering that day! (Not sure how this man runs a hotel!) customer experience is terrible at this hotel and the rates are so confusing! Do not recommend

The evening bartender was a solid 5 – kind, friendly, efficient and attentiveThe front desk worker was disappointing because of some billing errors and because he would not split incidentals off of a company card and put them on my card Despite several requests he refused and told me it was not possible

After checking out, I called back and was able to do it over the phone with him FrustratingAlso, lighting in the rooms was poor and unlike the photos presentedReally good food too In fact, everyone in the restaurant was fantastic

Chris “BostonGreekGeek” Vaxevanis

It looks like your typical Marriot, clean rooms, large entrance hall, bar, lounge ample parkingMy issue is that this place has no electric vehicle chargers which I feel is a must for any new construction This hotel was built in 2018 and they put no electric vehicle chargers? How is the world meant to transition to electric vehicles, when new hotels don’t care enough to include doors with that included? Also for a new construction I was surprised at how paper thin the walls were at I could hear other rooms every night

Not the same ones so you could day I just had lots neighbors Different people at different timesFinally I have pictures of how the outlets next to the night stands just come straight up They aren’t fixed in the stands or anything That is poor workman shipOverall it is clean and looks good, so if those details don’t bother you, your stay will be great However I can’t give a higher rating to a place that isn’t trying better

Jim Anderschat

Two forms of GPS may be necessary in finding this property! Why on Earth would they build a hotel buried behind office complexes, I don’t know But, if you find it, a decent hotel! Like all Courtyards, no included breakfast, everything comes at a priceThe room was nice, but my problem with this hotel is the location

If you want to go out to eat, you will need a car as this place is the last stop on the tracks, surrounded by offices and highways No good walking available Doubt we would stay here again Good if you work in the nearby offices

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel They compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area

I’ve been staying here for years If you choose this place you definitely will love it I’m sure! This was a super comfortable space We had our own locker in our room without extra cost (bring a padlock), the food and coffee it’s good, nice and bilingual service (Spanish and English) It’s a safe space to stay just a few blocks from Central Park It’s not cheap but for the location and clean rooms and bathrooms it’s worth it

Sam Frost

Pros:Clean rooms and bathroomNice little cafe downstairs with plenty of tables to sit atFriendly staffCons:There are a Lot of younger people

And when I say young, I mean 16-18 year olds and even younger than that They were extremely loud on the evening, quite distracting when I just wanted to chill I feel like the hostel should have an 18+ age restrictionAlso the cafe closes really early too I’d often get back around 2pm and it was already shut for the day so it’s only available in the morning time which is a bit inconvenientOverall, a pleasant stay I travelled on my own and met a couple of other friendly solo travelers, however most people stick to themselves so if you are relying on meeting others then I’d recommend somewhere else Friendly and helpful staff Also it’s a great location too! A short subway ride to times square/Broadway and a short walk to Central Park which was perfect

Katie Brooks-Halling

Superb hostel! I’m travelling the US alone and NYC was my first stop The room was super clean, as were the showers, the staff super friendly, and it is less than a one minute walk to the subway which takes you straight downtown where all the most common attractions are (line 1) Met the most amazing people and wouldn’t hesitate to rebook!! Very decent pricing for NYC too! I understand why all the reviews rave about it

Highly Highly recommend

Excellent stop for the night as we were passing through Rooms were a little dated but seemed to be well kept Great location with ample parking

Breakfast was a nice touch, nothing fancy but was enough different options Very warm receptionists and very accommodating when we asked for an extra cot for the room Highly recommend Homewood Suites by Hilton in East Rutherford!

Shannon Desrosiers

Very disappointed pool was not open for our children however I guess I looked and it said that on the website Unsure why though ? But I was impressed with my room very clean, and Spacious!!!! Awesome staff and location was great for people going to American dream or NYC Central Park was only 7miles ! Ideal for visiting a lot of amazing spots Elevator was making noises that WAS kinda scary though

But all in all I would give this hotel 38 out of 5!

Key Monk

I like this hotel It’s not the newest hotel around, but it’s certainly not rundown It’s definitely well maintained and clean

Cleaning staff were almost always visible and working My room had a tub, which I assume is standard I prefer showers Breakfast was good and service is excellent They have an outdoor enclosed half basketball court with an excellent vinyl floor and you can get a ball from reception to have some hoop fun The gym, though, is somewhat small and equipment a bit datedA big plus for me is the hotel’s location It is right opposite a small mall, which houses a Marshalls, Aldi and several eating options Several other restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive Don’t think that the close proximity to these shops make this hotel noisy or busy It’s very quiet and I felt very safe and secure I would undoubtedly stay here again

This place was good for a one night stay People are friendly, location was good, a little noisy with traffic and trains nearby, there’s a good bagel place on the corner There’s an Acme within 5-10 minutes for groceries

It was hard to get in touch with anyone at the front desk When we needed anything we had to go down to get it, which isn’t too big of a deal because of COVID protocolsThe rooms were clean, you could tell this place has a history to it with how the rooms and buildings are shaped The pool was a hit with the kids, wish it was open a little later The hallways kind of smelled weird The shower was a little weird because one shower head was sticking a little too far out of the ceiling and the other shower head wouldn’t stay put in its holder so we had to hang it onto a handleParking became a little difficult because they had a church in session on site and another conference going on

Erdal Duman

Hi I booked this hotel for my kids to enjoy the pool I have 2 boys

They were ready with their swimming suits thinking that they will enjoy with their parents However, it was a disappointment when we learned from the front desk that the city didn’t approve the pool’s opening This is not our fault and definitely not our kids They deserve the best I contacted the third party where I booked the hotel through that they wanted to talk to the manager about canceling The manager wasn’t here and the front desk associate informed that they will be back on Monday as I asked the third party to cancel but they said they have to talk to the manger

Breakfast was nothing out of the ordinary for a hotel, it was good Rooms look like they’re kept up with and they actually care about cleaning and maintaining them What made my stay over the top great was the lady that works the desk at night (didn’t get her name unfortunately)

She was super helpful and patient through the whole check-in and happily helped me with my 2-3 requests that I had throughout the stay Recommend this spot if you’re staying in the area

Dmitry Dolnikov

be aware that the rooms in this hotel do not have any kind of ventilation air in the room is stale and stuffy windows can’t be opened at all, there is no such option, by design, they are just air tight

imagine how it feels when you experience lack of fresh air and oxygen, increased co2 and decide if you’d like to book here i wish i knew this upfront and not chose this hotel ever

Carol Beynon

I’m not usually one to leave a bad review, but this place 0 stars I don’t know if it’s because we booked through a third party, but our room was filthy

It’s like they just came and made the beds and that was it… with comforters that had huge rips in them The floors and carpets had crumbs The bathroom floor had dirt and hair balls behind the door Oh and the microwave had dried up crusted food all in it It also reeked of cigarette smoke Thankfully we were only there two nights

Everything was good Front desk staff was helpful Bathrooms were clean

Extra towels were provided when asked Breakfast was ok too Only concern was cleanliness, linens were clean but the room wasn’t that clean there was dust on the tables and it was like it’s not vacuumed under the tables and corners of the room View was not great but location is good if you wanna drive to places( not sure about if you use subway or bus) Times Square was just 20 25 minutes away same for Statue of Liberty Overall nice experience

Tiana Ramos

Comfortable stay here I think there’s lot of improvements to be made, the room appeared clean, however, you could clearly see dust *everywhere* in the roomThe bathroom counter was clearly not sanitized

Keurig broken and spit coffee/grounds everywhere 😬 aside from that it was a comfortable stay Beds and bedding clean Iron worked well I just think that surface cleaning of the room needs to definitely be a priorityBreakfast included was okay There was eggs, bacon, bagels, bread, cereal, yogurt, danishes/cinnamon rolls The scrambled eggs were not good But aside from that I think it’s still a nice perkI highly encourage they invest in a couple of 4 slice toasters 😅 the price you pay to stay, I feel like there’s no reason 4 people should be in line to toast their bagels/toast Toasters are inexpensive I also wished they had whole grain bread and almond milk but that’s just me being picky I guessOnly other note is the front desk can improve their customer service I called twice both the front and housekeeping regarding towels and the coffee machine It just rang and rang with no answer

Maggie B

The hotel is nice The rooms are pretty spacious and clean The only issue were the amount of flies in the lobby area

Also during check in, there was an issue with management and a housekeeping employee regarding rooms cleaned for the day I thought this was extremely unprofessional being that there were customers around The Continental breakfast was good They offered a variety of options

-It was clean-The rooms were decent compared to other hotel rooms I’ve seen- They have breakfast every morning which is great!- Coffee all day which is heaven- There’s a gymEverything was great but if you don’t drive you’re kinda stuck but they offer a shuttle bus for local places so that’s helpful I never took the shuttle bus but I believe they offer that

Donna Clavell

First time staying here and it did not disappoint The rooms were spacious and clean The staff were so helpful and it was reasonably priced

My only criticism would be the breakfast buffet The eggs and hash browns were pretty tasteless and the waffle batter the same Adding some spices and vanilla to the batter would have gone a long way

Dillon Browne

We needed a spot to spend the night after a friend’s party in Ridgewood – and the comfort inn fit the bill Rooms are pretty nice, recently renovated it would seem

I’d score them higher but the comforter had a number of visual stains which puts me off from a hotelStill the room was clean for the most part, aside from that The sheets were bleached white without visual staining and the space was well appointedI doubt there are better options in the area for the price

Gabby was so kind and patient as we checked in after a long day at a dance competition in the area Our room was clean and everything about our stay was comfortable and satisfying The following day, after we returned home, we realized that we had left my daughter’s very-much loved stuffed animal in the bed she slept in

I called and spoke to Ashley, who was incredibly thoughtful and persistent by ensuring that all the bedding was shaken out so they were eventually able to find the stuffed animal She assured me that the stuffed animal would be sitting safely on her desk and that was the case when I returned later that night to retrieve it Both she and Gabby greeted me warmly and gave me the stuffed animal! Thank you to both of them for being so kind and helpful!

Diana Hidalgo Díaz

I stayed here two nights There is an ATM in the lobby, and the reception sells frozen and packaged snacks you can prepare on your room’s microwave Also, there is a bus stop nearby where you can take a bus that’ll take you to downtown NYC

The staff at reception was very kind and gave us a sheet with instructions of what buses to take to go to NYC and what buses to take to go back to the hotel They contained detailed information and were a relief for my mom and I as we toured NYC by ourselves the last day of our trip These were the highlights of the hotel for me Rooms and breakfast are also good I recommend to stay here 100%!

Lane Boyd

This Marriott-branded hotel, located near everything yet convenient to nothing, displayed great customer service while also begging for a refurbishment The staff at the front desk were phenomenal, and even went out of their way to show me where the brewery (the only decent thing walkable) is located The pedestrian infrastructure is lacking, so be prepared to drive to find food

The rooms are clean, but show their age in minor cosmetic defects For how Marriott presents this brand, I’d expect better Hopefully they can get a refresh soon, and then I’d come back

Booked one night due to a wedding Pleasant experience Room was neat, amazed it had Paul Mitchell products for bathing

My only concern was the noise at the lobby at midnight They had a party there and if my room would be located on the first floor I would be upset

Susan Nussbaum

The hotel advertising did not match the reality They advertise a pool, a restaurant, and normal hotel niceties – however they do not have an open pool, the restaurant has severely limited hours, and they dont clean your room unless requested I went with nieces who packed bathing suits, no one said anything when we checked in about: no pool, limited food hours, or request only cleaning

The first manager kept insisting “we took the pool pics down” even though I had the website up and was showing her a half dozen references The next day, manager #2 was a bit better, I showed her the pic of my room door that had pool guidelines on it!! And she said “oh we tell ppl when they check in” … no they dont We almost didnt eat the day we had to leave bc breakfast ended at 9:30am!! 9:30am!! The man ahead of me on line arguing about venti versus grande size almost cost me my only meal all day! I had NO idea until I was ordering at 9:31am and the girl said “oh let me see if the kitchen is still open”!The rooms were clean, the little restaurant was nice – but the failure to communicate was inexcusable For one manager to say “there is no pool” and “oh we took that pic down” gaslighting me as I held the website up on my phone was surreal And for the next manager to change the story to “the pool is closed for covid”?? Put it on the website then! And at 9:31am to find the restaurant is closing is also something to let guests know clearly

I’ve stayed in some that were worse and some that were better Highlights are ; the staff is friendly and helpful , the building could use some work and a 20oz drink is almost 4 dollars at the desk, also there’s some remodeling going on so there construction materials everywhere

This was by far our favorite Hyatt on our trip The rooms are always consistent at Hyatt What made the difference was the staff

Excellent breakfast buffet each day Consistently had great coffee (strong but not too strong) and the management had the best set up with 3 different coffee stations with all the supplies needed so multiple people can get coffees at the same time They were always restocking items so you rarely waited for anything They also consistently had oatmeal, yogurt, and fresh fruit cut up and added blueberries and other fresh fruit They did the best job of rotating the warm breakfast items as well The staff were friendly and helpful Our room was kept clean while we stayed for the week Hyatt should use this hotel as example for others

The room was perfect, I went there to take my exam and as I had requested I was given the exact room, rather better! Everyone was so cooperative all alongTanisha was the best there, she and Justin were always a great help to me and made the best coffee for me I highly recommend this place, it’s amazing

Linda was amazing! Best front desk attendant I have ever met at any hotel She was kind, helpful and all around everything you would want greeting you at your hotel when on vacation The housekeeper was a cleaning ninja

The only reason we knew she had been there was because the trash was taken out, beds were made or a light was on She made sure to leave all of our belongings were we left them Every staff member we encountered was pleasant and helpful Gave great directions, told us how the transit system worked I would 1000% stay here again Hotel was very clean and breakfast was great My teens enjoyed the stay as well

Room is reasonable large and clean, breakfast is basic hut sufficient the hotel is overall outdated and they said remodeling is very soon, I won’t complain regarding the price comparing with the surrounding onesThe front desk lady Ashley, was so kind to trying her best to help us out

Thank you Ashley

Barely any shampoo or conditioner body wash or any type of free amenities slippery shower and they barely cleaned our shower when we asked for them to clean our rooms No mats for when you get out of the shower No bench or chair to sit on for handicapped in the shower

Ok breakfast but not much variety in cereals to choose from kinda expensive rooms for what you get

I really don’t like to write reviews But I was really disappointed by this hotel It didn’t feel like even a 2 star hotel

The refrigerator kept freezing all my kids snacks and vegetables and the lady at the front desk said she will send somebody to fix it But nothing changed We always stay at Hilton hotels but this time it’s different The first night, we all woke up because of all the screams and fights between 2 girls??!! Weird!! I told the lady on the front desk and she said she will address it to the manager but it looks there is no manager The room service is not the best, I called them the third day , or they are lazy or they don’t know what they are doing They didn’t vacuum the carpet because I can still see all the crumbs They didn’t clean the bathroom sink, they only put the toilet paper holder on it empty!!!!And the Kleenex box empty!!!!I had to call the front desk and ask them for towels, for tissues, for toilet paper, for shampoo…… The air condition vent had candy crumbs on it that my 7 year old showed me I told her leave it open so they can clean it But they only closed it and left all the candy crumbs there? The room is really mediocre for this price we paid The entrance to the hotel is hard to find The good thing, it is close to the bus that take you to NY CITY But I will never go back there Really disappointed ☹️

Let me begin with the staff was wonderful at the front desk -giving an upgrade and helping us—but we could not complete our stay at this hotel Our first room smelled so badly of old cigarette smoke we went back to desk to change rooms The second room had dirt and crumbs all over the carpet, the bathroom was not cleaned and it also smelled of smoke

The lobby is nice but goodness do those rooms need an update and cleaning! We decided to spend 7 hours on the road home rather than stay here

The staff at the front desk was nice and very friendly, my reason for giving it a 3 was first my tv kept freezing and losing signal a lot, I tried not to complain to much because we was gone during the day Second I tried to wash my hands in the bathroom just to realize the box they placed on the sink for hand soap was completely empty as if it’s just there for decorations, third housekeeping knocked on my door the second day there I told her we didn’t need her to come in and clean but I asked if I could have two towels off her cart she only gave me one and told me not to tell so I was confused as to rather or not if we are only suppose to use towels that are already in room, it would be nice if the basic breakfast was included of course for the amount we paid to stay so we only ate breakfast here once, the hot tub was dirty it look like little ants in the hot tub Lastly I get it this place does allow pets but they should not be allowed in the swim area we went down the other day and there was a dog in the swim area with a family luckily my daughter not scared of dogs and this dog just so happens to be nice however you never know when a kid can come in and get scared seeing a dog and start to run and panic and a wet area so not a good idea but besides those things front desk staff was nice and I came into a clean room

I had an absolutely significant experience at Meadowlands Plaza Hotel with my grandchild for a reunion- The hotel is located in a wonderful area and has free parking The interior was outstandingly elegant

However, the lobby could’ve been more clean Furthermore, the elevator was a little dirty and smelt quite odd- The king banquet hall was extraordinarily clean and exquisite My grandchild and their friend had to perform at the reunion and Nicole let them rehearse in another room She was remarkably obliging and kind :)- The staff was outstandingly helpful, sweet, and the service was very fast However, they didn’t wear masks- Our room was fairly clean and had air conditioning, although the curtain opener was a bit dusty and sticky- Breakfast is free There is a wide variety of delicious food and a few drinksI would undoubtedly recommend staying here or planning an event here!

Stayed for three nights, check in staff were amazing! And that’s where it ends!!! Room was dirty toe nail clippings on floor the Housekeeping well I can’t tell you about them! They never came after asking Multiple times for towels and trash removal to no avail finally the night clerk set up the security guard with towels and coffee I sat garbage outside room unfortunately! (YUCKY I KNOW) the breakfast was good! However the breakfast staff rude and unresponsive about anything? It’s not on my list to stay again unfortunately! And I am definitely letting my company know! On the good side two amazing restaurants near by an AMAZING ITALIAN/DELI ACROSS STREET and of course the Mexican restaurant across the street ! Other than that a total flop shame tho !

Rooms were very clean with a somewhat modern décor Water was not very hot in showers but they were large and comfortable Continental breakfast was available on all mornings of my stay but I would recommend getting to it early and not to wait

A downfall was that families with younger children were staying in rooms next to and above me which made for hearing of a lot of noise from the children playing, nothing to the fault of the hotel Staff was pleasant and made for the stay to be comforting Access to the hotel is difficult coming from Highway 17 due to limited places to turn

Rooms are very spacious with modern finishing Additionally housekeeping frequent and thoroughBreakfast is available and there was a pre-packaged breakfast option

This came in handy especially I had an early commute to workHowever be sure to confirm if the late check-out option is available as I was told that isn’t a standard offering

Eric Straughen

For a Home 2, this wasn’t bad Decently priced I had a shower issue the first night but in the am we had maintenance come fix it

No issues after Beds were moderately comfortable and the hotel traffic “noise” was kept pretty low No major parties or outside noise interfered with the sleepThe views from the room were walmart and highway 17 Parking wasn’t an issue
