The room was nice The bed was comfy The five stars is for the service

We had a baby with us, they provided a pack and play for him to sleep in However the first pack and play had a rip in it and the hotel brought us a new one promptly when informed Very helpful and nice people Would stay here again Also there is an Indian restaurant near by that was pretty

Justin Haney

The staff was very friendly and the public areas of the hotel are clean and maintained Now we move to the room 1) The first room couldn’t open the door due to the Battery in the lock being dead

Changed rooms 2) The room had NO hand soap we had to go buy our own 3) The bedding did not match one bed had a Duvet the other had a brown blanket Then under the edge of the bed we found an empty White Claw can Over all decent hotel However I have stayed at other Fairfield’s that were cheaper and had better rooms and cleaning staff

Chrissy

Got an extra star because Of the welcome gift which was really nice, The bed was barely made, and I don’t think the sheets were changed One side of the bed was totally sunken in Guests pay attention to things like the conditioner bottle being full, but shampoo and shower gel completely empty, silver fish, and spider were crawling in room, overall cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking

Called for late checkout which was granted, but was greeted with “check out was at 11” when heading out Definitely comparable to a stay at a decent Motel

I took a baseball team of 25 teenagers here to stay for two nights Everyone was wonderful to work with and helped us out in every way possible The rooms were great and clean, breakfast area was great for our players to hang out and the staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful

Would 100% recommend to stay here as an individual family or as a group!

I’m not one to complain ever but I felt like after staying at Springhill Suites by Marriott South in Savannah, I had to say something Especially during these Covid times, where cleaning should be top priority The first room we got the light switch near the door turned on no lights

There were hairs on the top of the bed where your head would be Went into the bathroom there was hairs in the shower, no hand soap or anything just a dish in the bathroom the toilet seat was loose and last straw there was a blue ring on the table and it wiped away with a lysol wipe very easily After that we were like we need a new room We went down to the front desk and told the lady’s and she said ugh another person complaining about their room We said oh your having issues with rooms? oh no I’m not working today She said they didn’t have a lot of rooms She went to check on a room, to make sure the room was clean She came back gave us a key we went to the room It looked better then the first But again there was no hand soap at the sink, there was a small bottle of body wash at the sink We didn’t say anything I was just happy to have something to wash my hands with I took a shower, there were 3 bottles attached to the wall and there was not a drop of shampoo in the shampoo bottle This is not the hotel experience I expect from a Marriott and I would never stay at this hotel ever again

Brian Glynn

I stayed at this hotel this Easter weekend 2022, also renting a room for my dad It was a terrible experience for my dad his toilet leaked the entire day, which we found when we returned to the room

I called the front desk and was told that no maintenance person was available but they would send someone up to try to repair it No repair was completed and they placed towels on the floor until the next day I checked my father out the next morning to have him stay with family and lodged a complaint with the desk supervisor I told him of my dissatisfaction with the room and that we expected to be compensated with points for the grave inconvenience The supervisor said that the general manager does not work onsite but would contact me I contacted the hotel several times and never received a call or any communication from the manager I contacted Marriott Elite Customer Service (I am a Lifetime Gold Elite Member) and was advised the manager closed the complaint ticket the following day, which they told me was not the way it should have been handled Management is terrible at this hotel, unlike any other many Marriott Brands that I have stayed at I am requesting points compensation from this hotel for the terrible experience

This Best Western checks off all the boxes of what every traveler wants in a hotel Cleanliness Comfort (a good bed for a good night’s sleep)

Everything working in the room at 100% (TV, shower, plumbing, A/C) Quiet Friendly staff A delicious breakfast with a wide food selection to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters This Best Western rivals upscale hotels in overall quality and bang for your dollar I would definitely recommend the Best Western Central Inn in Savannah to family and friends A truly hidden gem!

Sherri Lee

Best hotel I’ve stayed in, in quite a while! Very clean and comfortable rooms with comfy beds, and the staff was very friendly and helpful! The ladies overseeing the breakfast were very friendly, and the food was great! This hotel and location was well worth the 11 mile drive from I95 for an overnight stay in Savannah on our way to North Myrtle Beach!! The outside of the hotel was just as clean as the rooms, and I felt very safe walking outside when I woke during the night and wanted some fresh air!!

Alexa Dickson

This place shines because of the staff The front desk worker was so helpful when we arrived and I had booked for the wrong dates The housekeeping staff clearly work hard to keep the hotel and grounds clean and kept up well

This is a clean, comfortable hotel close to downtown sites Only caution: if you’re someone that likes to nap during the day, this is next to the air force base and very loud planes and helicopters are often overhead during the day

Traveled here with my parents to stay for 3 nights The beds and hotel were clean and well maintained The staff were all professional and courteous! The continental breakfast also has a good selection! They did warn at check in that since the location is close to a train track that you will feel the vibration and noise for the passing trains

which is accurate and somewhat frequent It does not bother me, but is worth knowing about if that would bother other guestsAll in all – I would highly recommend and stay here again on my next visit

Steve Mattingley

What a shocking suprise, have been a loyal Hilton diamond member for years but due to the convenient location of this hotel I decided to give it a try, glad I did Staff was extremely friendly at every interaction, between greeting you when you walk in and saying goodbye when you step out The rooms are extremely clean and well laid out

Only downside is the proximity to very active train tracks on the backside of the building but honestly didn’t notice it once I was asleep and the staff made sure to mention it on check in Will definitely stay here again!

Cindy Fehringer

The staff is delightful and very welcoming The room was exceptionally clean However, our room faced the train tracks and we were told by the front desk it might feel like an earthquake

They did not lie, As we arrived late it was the only room left and the train traveled by 7 times, shaking the room and creating a disturbance when we attempted to sleep The reviews I read prior to booking never mentioned the train, and I feel potential guests should know

We love the rooms at this chain, they really can NOT be beat in this price range The fitness room was very clean and nice here I didn’t love their bed covers – it looked (not sure) like they used a bed skirt as a blanket – is this a new thing? The breakfast worker today, Jan 11, was very nice and helpful and left a great impression

The doors shut automatically everywhere, which is a great fire safety measure, but they were loud and kept waking me up at night Even so, I’d stay here over any other chain because the room feels like home and has great amenities that I found helpful

Checked in today for a one-night stay while traveling through the state Paid $36788, which is an absolutely ABSURD amount of money for one night in a hotel off of the highway, but nonetheless, we needed a suite and wanted a newer hotel

Pros:• Digital Key is convenient• Grounds are nicely maintained and the exterior lighting is BRIGHT• Front desk lady was pleasant• King suite is quite large• Plenty of security cameras around• No odors in roomCons:• Noisy AC units• Low water pressure• BIG ONE – dirty room Both the tile and carpet were sticky with filth and grime, among other things My feet were getting dirty as I walked around, and several objects left a greasy feeling on my fingers when touchedFor the price, the lack of cleanliness is unacceptable Hopefully they can correct their cleaning procedures so that future guests don’t have this problem!

Jeremy Womack

Night staff is amazing! This hotel hit me for double sales tax on 2 rooms 2 days after checking out Called the day staff and they hung up on me Corporate saw I was an Honors member and made it right, but this hotel needs some serious training for their day staff

Dead palms in the parking lot, rude employees, and guests on the floor above us moving furniture all night I’ve stayed at hundreds of Hilton hotels and this was by far the worst Love Hilton properties and have enjoyed all other stays I’m a proud member, but this stay was miserable

When I arrived I was greeted and checked in by Daphney who is very professional and attentive to your needs Even after I unpacked and went to the pool she asked me if there was anything I needed She sets a great example to professionalism

Rooms were very nice and clean Showers hot Beds comfortable Housekeeping very nice and friendly Will definitely be staying here again

Smalls

First off if you can skip this exit I probably would it’s a very sketchy area the later it gets the worse it is The motel itself is great though had no problems and the pool and hot tub was great my son and my niece and nephews loved it along with the weight rooms The room is clean enough and the floor was very clean I will say very! No bugs that’s all I care about anyway and there isn’t any here!!!! GREAT PLaCE!!!! But if someone is very picky the walls looked like someone played wall ball on them with sneakers black marks all over my walls!! I took pics

Which like I said that doesn’t bother me at all!!! So I would definitely recommend staying here oh yeah so far a double bed cost me 230 which $25 should come back off today for incidentals But I’d check it out no problems!!!!

Phoenix Walker

This is the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in If we hadn’t checked in at 1 am for one night I would have left Our first room was filthy, stains on the carpet, toilet and bathtub

Moving Bugs on the light fixtures, stained carpet and couch, the pull out couch is disgusting and to top it off someone had written on the walls, “Look Up” Our second room was just as filthy We would have left if it wasn’t the middle of the night and we weren’t so tired from driving 10 hours straight I slept on top of the bed fully clothed To top everything off we arrive at a non-existent breakfast With non-working broken waffle makers and no food at 6:30am The seating in the food area was just as nasty as the hotel rooms Do not stay at this hotel the hotel owners should be ashamed charging over $200 for these nasty rooms

I don’t usually drive this far from the airport, but this was worth it I stayed in room 313 (a double queen room)The design of the room was nice, and the staff was excellent

The beds were comfortable as well I also liked the large showerBut for a hotel owned by IHG, cleanliness is definitely something that can be improved here There were stains on the blinds, and there was a spot of what may have been dried blood in the shower I’ve definitely seen better in Savannah, even at other IHG hotelsIn addition, the vinyl floors in my room were sticky

Nafis Zahir

This was a very good hotel to stay at with only a few minor things that need to be addressed The lobby and lounge area is very nice and they offer 24 hour hot beverages The rooms are very nice and the modern design was a nice change

The rooms offer a shade that allows in light but no one can see into your room, and another room darkening shade is there as well The room has a very modern layout and it’s a decent size The bathroom has a very nice walk-in shower with toiletries mounted to the wall both in the shower and by the sink, giving you soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion The pillows were a nice size, comfortable and they give you four pillows The issues that need to be addressed are the fact that there is only an ice maker and microwave on the first floor, the refrigerator is very small, not placed in a good way and not easy to open Lastly, the size of the shower is nice but it is a little slippery Something needs to be done to correct this Overall, it was a good stay, I liked my room and customer service was very good

Carla Cordoves

Clean, modern, and friendly staffEverything was clean, there’s free coffee and tea 24hrs, they’ve got a little market to buy chips and drinks, and there are many fast food restaurants within 1-2min driving distanceIt’s an inexpensive place and easily better than your average Best Western

I loved that there’s NO CARPET in the rooms, so my allergies weren’t triggeredWould definitely recommend

First off it’s petty they charge for parking I expect a far nicer property in a much better location when I’m paying for parking This property is surrounded by partially abandoned strip malls and nothing else of note

The check in was fine and the lady was pleasant But when I came down this morning during breakfast I needed to ask the front desk a question She was doing something on the computer when I walked up and she couldn’t even make eye contact but just asked “Yes?” Not even hospitable and barely per functionary I felt like I as the guest was an imposition One of the hallmarks of Hilton is the professional and courteous staff but they failed on this morningThe room was dated though satisfactorily clean, however, it had a strong musty smell The furniture had the look of flea market finds strung together but the bed was comfortableI will not choose this location in future trips to Savannah Do better Hilton

Kat Kat

I usually stay at Wyndham properties but I couldn’t beat the price this place was giving me for the weekend compared to the rates at the Wyndham properties nearby The property was clean, staff was helpful and personable, the free breakfast is marvelous I like the idea that the property had plenty of parking in the parking garage

The only downfall was the Monday morning 3 am Garbage pickup on the street If we had a room near the backside of hotel we probably wouldn’t have heard it

Elliot Newnham

Stayed at this location and arrived quite late to very friendly staff who were working hard to get me checked in quickly When I got to the elevator I noticed quite quickly that this location is in desperate need of a renovation Getting to the room the door didn’t quite close all the way and was loose

The shower and sink fixtures were tired and on their last legs The mattress was really comfortable and everything was clean, it’s just noticable that they need to invest in updating this property I’ll stay at more recently renovated hotels for now

The beds were comfortable and the rooms and hallways quiet Slept well Beautiful river view

Staff were friendly Some customer focus is lacking from management The Starbucks was too small and could not support the demands of long lines of customers That was frustrating The hotel should just provide free coffee in the lobby like so many other hotels do In addition there were no vending machines and only one gift shop to provide drinks and snacks, when it was closed at 10 pm you couldn’t get anything at all to eat or drink, no room service The main restaurant was only fair it was typical with average quality hotel priced food We attended an outdoor wedding reception the setting was lovely , the catered food was better than the restaurant The valet parking/bell staff were excellentThere was no cleaning service for the rooms you had to request maid service and call the desk if you ran out of anything That was a post covid shocker to me after many years of traveling and having certain minimal / routine expectations of hotels

Lacey Frownfelter

My husband and I were so disappointed with our stay We paid $750 for 2 nights in an outdated room with an odor, stains on the sheets and walls, and minimal amenities The view of the river was nice, but it was blocked by a construction barge with a crane

We expected so much better, but you’re really just paying for the location and the brand On the positive side, the few staff we interacted with were very pleasant and welcoming, and I appreciated that they were all wearing masks But I definitely would not stay here again

Brad Mase

Honestly, my wife and I stay was great The room was clean and spacious The ferry was always on time, the front desk staff was amazing

They were very knowledgeable of everything going on The ONLY downfall for our stay was the dance competition crowd The kids were running all through the hotel with no supervision from parents The pool was overly crowded, always Couldn’t really enjoy the poolside vibe because all the kids But that didn’t bother me to the point where my stay was interrupted

We had such a great stay at this hotel The staff was incredible! What kind people! Breakfast was hot, the room was clean, and the indoor pool was perfect for my family It was convenient to I-95 and lots of restaurants

None of us wanted to leave! The only detail I didn’t see is it’s pet friendly, but there were no smells that made you realize until you actually saw an animal! Great stay!

Kyle Wilson

Everything was perfect!I have stayed here twice in one week as it is the halfway point between NC and Florida (for me) The check in process and quick and efficient The room was clean, had a soft mattress and plenty of pillows

The mini fridge had a “freezer” section which was greatly appreciated Also the shower was hot and really good pressureI also appreciate the free hot breakfast! I would definitely stay here again

Till Man

We enjoyed the very hot swimming pool, but the kids would have preferred a cooler pool The room was fine and the climate control was fine, also We stayed here to escape the winter weather farther north

The breakfast was good except for the scrambled eggs which had a weird taste and were either very salty or the weird taste made them seem salty The automatic pancake maker was pretty good, though the pancakes came out small 2 small pancakes under 1 minute is pretty good The lady at the front desk who checked us in was very friendly which made our stay much more enjoyable We would stay here again for sure Not wild about the non-refundable pet fee, but at least it was only $20 per pet compared to Home 2’s $50 fee which even used to be $100!

We stayed there beginning May 30 and was very impressed with the character of the house but unimpressed by many things The first two days we were there only one other couple was staying in the inn on the first day and the second day my wife and I were the only ones staying in the 16 bedroom inn We loved it, very quiet, but there also was no staff there after about 2 or 3 PM everyday

We could not find anyway to get ice for our room at night so we could have a drink and nobody was around to help They have a bar but it was only open very briefly (maybe an hour) for one day during our trip and that was three days into our stay On the Wednesday after our Monday arrival, they had several guest check in and that is when we noted more staff had appeared and the quality of service improved I get it, they did not want to pay for staff with so few guest, but we paid over $400 PER NIGHT thinking we would be staying at a really nice place with great service and that was not our experience In addition, the cooling system was so loud and rattled all day and night so it was difficult to get to sleep A fire station is a couple blocks down the street and every night you would hear the fire engine truck take off with alarms blaring (not the Inns fault but guest should know the location is near a very active fire station) The staff was very pleasant when there, especially the older lady In summation, I could not recommend this hotel, too expensive for the level of service and other factors I would not stay again

Stuart Little

We stayed here over the Christmas holiday Wonderful staff Cozy rooms

Awesome location Central to everything Walked from the Inn to all restaurants for the 8 days we were there Beautiful little garden with great ambiance at night to drink wine in Parking worked out well for us although it is limited at the Inn If you don’t get a surface lot spot you have to park on the street Great cleaning crew There is nothing negative to say about this place If we visit again I would definitely stay here again

Raul Roman

While our stay was a while ago, our experience was excellent The atmosphere is as if you are taking a step back in time I asked the attendant (I wish I remembered his name) to point me to some local experiences like a carriage ride

He took the time to book them for me! This was a great touch and made our anniversary celebration memorable The Inn is located very central in Savannah so you can walk to most everything

Mixed feelings about this stay The hotel itself is lovely and clean The staff were friendly

There’s a parking garage with access to each level in the hotel The spaces and the garage are squishy though My room was nice and comfortable EXCEPT for the horrible black mold smell that slapped me in the face soon as I opened the door It was coming from the shower which looked clean but soon as I opened the door the smell was overwhelming It was fine with the bathroom door shut but after 2 days it made me sick The A/C started a high pitch whistle the first night that scared me awake at 5am The staff did fix that very quickly The continental breakfast is fairly decent with several different warm and cold breakfast options They need to make more coffee I might stay here again if given a room that doesn’t reek of mold

Ape Simmons

Stay was perfect ! Would stay again! Parking garage connected to hotel which you can access your floor from was a huge plus! Good view of the passing cars! Updated gym! Super clean blue pool with good lounge area! Lobby was so nice and pretty! Hallways smelled fresh and were so calming with its dark brown tones! Staff was helpful! Snack options were great! Bathroom spacious, bed spacious room was very clean! Elevators worked fast! Just a pretty pretty hotel! Will be back! Hope I have many more great experiences at this! We didn’t even wanna leave honestly ugh! Lady at the front with long braid-like hair today at July 17th around 11:00 a

m was so cool!

Mark Schultz

I did not get the chance to stay Due to problems with registering The manager did nothing to assist me with correcting the issue

She was rude and offered no help Her attitude was very poor and inhospitable Upon arrival I also noticed parking fees that were not disclosed I would not stay here if it was free after the treatment I received The welcome mat said satisfaction guaranteed When I mentioned this to the manager I was told to leave Southern hospitality at its finest! Note to potential guests we found fees that were not disclosed upfront I would suggest not using a third party registration process as Fairfield did nothing to assist with problems and left us without a room and room was fully paid for

No Hot Water!!!!!!! My brother and I came in on Saturday morning at 2am Running little late due traffic They said at first we were a no show! We finally got our room

Then we decided to try to take a shower before we went to bed It was Cold We tried gain in the morning, Cold We spoke to the front desk in the morning They told us they have been having issues with other customers with the same complaint They told us that we are going to fix it my Monday or Tuesday morningWe said we’re gonna leave Monday morningAnd they said we’re gonna comp the whole stayEvery day the shower was cold On the Monday morning When we checked out they said we have to pay for everything They said no one said that I would do that They took off $50 They told us that they gave us the option of leaving or staying, that was a total lie They never gave us an option If we had the option to leave we would’ve left There was no options, that they gave us nothing This was the worst Hilton Garden Inn I stayed at I would recommend you stay away from this specific Hilton Garden Inn Until they change or retrain management and fix the amenities and plumbing in the building

It was all around disappointing We stayed in room 214 for 1 night The staff that checked us is was friendly enough, until the keys didn’t work, then it seemed as if we were to blame

The cleanliness of the room was not what I would consider Hilton standards, nor was the maintenance There was popcorn kernel on the floor and some tiny bits of trash- not a huge deal, they were under the deck chair and were missed when vacuuming The main issues, however, were in the bathroom The water was barely warm We tried to shower at 3 different times and did not get to a point anywhere near hot I also hate that one of the light bulbs was out That’s a peeve of mine it made the room feel dark and unkept, and such an easy fixThere’s some other maintenance issues too, but I think I’ve ranted enough to show how disappointed we were in our decision to pick the Hilton garden inn over one of the many other hotels that are surrounding it

What a wonderful hotel with amazing staff who knows how to provide top-notch service We had a horrible experience at the Fairfield Inn next door and moved our stay over to the Hilton garden Inn thankfully Front desk staff restaurant staff everyone was amazing! The wonderful woman waiting on tables for breakfast during our stay is out of this world, she was taking care of all the guests wanting breakfast with a smile on her face and was so pleasant although she was so busy and doing everything herself minus cooking

Had the most wonderful stay at the Galloway House Inn The owners Jim & Keith were so accommodating & friendly They suggested some amazing places to go eat, drink and visit

Every suggestion was a hit ! The neighborhood is further south of the main tourist area but easily walkable We enjoyed the neighborhood the inn is surrounded by very much and actually ended up spending more time there than up by the main tourist area There is plenty to do ! The inn is beautiful The gardens are stunning Our room, the turner loft, was perfect for us and very comfortable I cannot recommend this place enough ! Thank you Jim & Keith!

Three other couples and I rented four of the five rental rooms this past weekend We were graciously greeted by Jim to show us our rooms and give us all a detailed rundown of activities and restaurants in the area We met Keith later in the weekend and really enjoyed hearing the story of the Galloway House Inn

Wonderful old house with all the needed amenities for comfort We spent a great deal of our time walking around this portion of Savannah, and the remainder of the time laughing and relaxing on the huge front porch I highly recommend the Inn and look forward to a return one dayRick

We had a memorable three night stay at the Galloway Inn in The Caroline SuiteThe suite was lovely set back in an attached building surrounded by beautiful gardens It felt exceptionally private but roomy with a nice kitchenette, large bath and the most comfortable bed of our travels

There was a living room area and large TV The inn was well furnished with local art decor We did enjoy having our breakfast on the beautiful verandah Keith and Jim the owners were exceptionally accommodating giving us the low down on local tours and helping us to get dinner reservations at a better restaurant The Starland area is an easy walk to the historic district but has plenty of flair of it’s own We preferred the quiet after exploring We highly recommend The Galloway House Inn

Extremely convenient to walk to shopping and dining Somebody put a lot of thought into the space because it had a lot of small details that made it homey I was shocked at how clean and wonderful it was because we didn’t even find dust anywhere

I would definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to my family and friends We had 4 adults stay in a two bed with 15 bath It was so much better than being in a hotel and gave us so much space to be social with each other in the living area Absolutely loved the place and all of the wonderful little details in it

The place was very nice We (6 women) stayed in 902 for the 2 full baths Most comfortable sleeper sofa I have ever been on

Because there were 6 women, we ran out of toilet paper and needed fresh towels which is what they offer if we needed them We text and emailed Jessica one evening with no response Next morning, we called her and she said she had given us enough towels and toilet paper She told us there was no concierge service and we needed to go buy toilet paper if we needed more She did send a guy over with more towels and 2 rolls of toilet paper Thanks, Jessica Sorry if our $90000 3 night stay payment didn’t include toilet paper in the cost They also charge a $5000 cleaning fee There was popcorn under the couch and a huge plastic bubble wrap under one of the beds when we got there But everything else appeared clean

Parking (1-space per suite) 20 feet from door Cozy courtyard with birds/ bird feeders and two small fountains in the brick privacy wall Typical savannah charm

Key codes for entry super easy Accommodations clean, air works wonderfully Kitchen is small but functional Bathrooms are spacious Living area comfortable Bedroom large with a comfortable King in ours Only downside, as a middle aged person with two bad knees the stairs are a challenge No elevator but there’s not room for one Would not recommend the top floor room unless you are fit!

We enjoyed our stay The room was clean The staff was helpful and friendly

The breakfast was deliciousThere were a few minor inconveniences (our room didn’t have enough towels, we were missing hand soap and shampoo, and the pool towels were too small to even be considered towels) but nothing that would keep us from visiting here again Great value for the price

Pros first: Friendly staff, great location off I95 near decent restaurants, pet friendly, clean room and hotel, good breakfast, nice pool areaCons: Ripped bedspread which we noticed when we first arrived in the room, we took photos and then immediately brought the bedspread to the front desk Clerk did not replace it, told us to bring it back to our room and said she would report it

We did not hear back, so no bedspread for the night We put it in the closet, as we did not want to damage it further, then in the morning left it out with a note on it for the cleaning staff to see, and reported it to the front desk again in the morning The morning clerk wrote it up, we don’t know how it was handled after that It would have been nice to have been acknowledged by management so we didn’t feel like we might be somehow held responsible, and it also would have been nice to have a replacementWe also reported and took photos of the huge approx 1′ gouge on the right base of the credenza It was obvious that it was not new, but we wanted to report it, similar to a walk around with a rental carWe generally try to stay at La Quintas, staff is usually friendly and professional and we like that they are pet friendly This is the first negative review we’ve posted

Although the people were very friendly and the room seemed clean, my mother woke up, turned on the lights and had a cockroach next to her It 8 AM, which is later than the normal hours for cockroaches and typically means a wider infestation (I unfortunately discovered this after doing some research on their cockroaches) It also didn’t move when the lights were turned on and it saw us…also not a good sign for infestations

It was alive when we captured it and gave it to the front reception We were told to email the manager Just as horrifying as the event itself is the fact it has now been 48 hours since my mother sent the manager an email with a photo and she has not received a response!!! This is completely unacceptable We have stayed at this hotel before and not had an issue but based on the lack of response from the manager over such an event we will no longer stay here (I confirmed the email address was correct based on the business card my mother was given from the reception) Apparently, they don’t think cockroaches are a big deal in your bed, so beware if you are staying here! (I will update this on the off chance the manager ever responds to my mother’s email)

Disgusting, Gross and Filthy! Pulled out sofa bed for my daughter

Mattress pad & mattress were covered in dried blood Not quite a murder scene But, Disgusting! They don’t leave any bedding for sofa bed in room (people steal it, I was told) Never got to use room Front desk clerks solution was to check us out (hotel was full) and we were left to find a room someplace else (which we did 45 minutes away) Spent an hour on the phone with IHG Their best offer was to refund us our points used So sorry etc Have been a platinum elite member for 22 years Not sure why we should continue with IHG after this rooms debacle

The Hyatt always takes great care of us and this location was no exception! Absolutely stunning views of the bridge and river The balconies aren’t quite deep enough to sit out on, but the weather was cool so we sat just inside the open slider and thoroughly enjoyed watching the cargo ships, tugboats and ferries Lots of birds too – cormorants, gulls, grackles and even a bald eagle! And dolphins every night at sunset – I had no idea they came so far inland! The front desk staff were welcoming and so helpful

The valet employees were exceptional, always so quick and kind and we loved being able to pick our car up on the parking level and not deal with the busy traffic out front The women at the Express restaurant were lovely as well All around a fantastic trip! We felt very safe here and loved how clean everything was If we weren’t still in this darn pandemic, I would’ve spent more time in the lobby and bar as they had great views too The only thing we were missing was a microwave, but we didn’t really need one with all the options they had available Thank you, Hyatt Regency Savannah!

This hotel is an excellent value in the historic district at a prime location A beautiful modern hotel on the river with views of river traffic It’s downstream from the busy container ship port-not scenic but interesting

Summer rates will soar with good reason so visit in the winter and enjoy the spring like temperatures- much better than the heat later in the year Only downside is the cost to park-valet- but considering the service intensity it’s not unreasonable at $38 daily I paid one night when I arrive very late and changed parking to the city garage a short distance across Bay St on Whittaker-$16 daily Easy to use I plan to return in a few years and may try one of the historic B&B’s as a contrast The historic district of Savannah is one of the best destinations in the country- beauty, charm, historical interest and tons to do This hotel is perfect for a first visit

Great hotel Friendly staff Very clean

The rooms were quiet, (except when the guy decided to play his trumpet on the riverwalk You could hear it on the six floor, but running the fan helped to drown him out) We paid for a river view, and it was worth every penny! Moon River was inspired here! Would definitely recommend (View from our hotel room)

I’d definitely stay again We have stayed at quite a few locations and they are always very clean and with a friendly staff They have a pretty decent selection for their complimentary breakfast and there was plenty of parking

The shower had great water pressure and got plenty warm When you’re on the road for hours, this is so important Only thing was that there was no book in the room that told you breakfast hours, things to do in the area, checkout times, and what the channels are on the tv That being said, we had no complaints and loved the eating/game area

Got in early evening and check in was a breeze The place smelled very fresh, and we got complimentary water and a snack Room was clean and not carpeted, which I loved

Bathroom was spic and span and the linen was all fresh, no odors or odd stains anywhere The beds were comfy My 4night stay was good, and morning free breakfast was decent enough to please all 3 room guest each day Parking lot was well lit, and lobby and halls Staff and patron were all very friendly Hotel is dog friendly, yet the pets were quiet Nearby was something for everyone as well from shopping malls, plazas and eateries…A really cool, bright, welcoming place

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL Especially if you value professionalism, competency, and your safety I was staying there for my birthday weekend and one morning the “manager” tried to burst into my room

When my fiancé went to the door, this person kept insisting that our room was supposed to be vacant He was extremely rude If there were any common sense amongst the management at this hotel, once you realized people were in the room you would then double check your system since there is clearly an error Not here, instead they just began calling our room incessantly When we finally went down to the front desk to see the actual manager MILES, all he had to say (when he saw two very angry people approaching) was “oh we’ve got it straightened out” There was no apology There was no offer to make thing right or they’ll “cover the night” as the sign in the lobby states Heck they didn’t even offer a complimentary snack In addition to the fact that the person who tried to break into my room was actually someone named RICO who was only the engineer, and NOT the manager So in addition to everything else, there are people who work at this hotel who have no problem with misrepresenting themselves in order to try and gain access to your room I’ve worked in a five diamond, four star Hilton in New Jersey for years, and I’ve stayed at this specific hotel, multiple times; so I know what it is to accommodate guest and be hospitable but this is NOT it I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE And to the Hilton corporation, if MILES is the best you can do as management for this property, you need to reconsider
