Excellent staff! Each and every one of the staff members were more than helpful, polite and always greeted me with a cheerful smileFrom the lobby to the rooms , all clean, updated and comfortable The person or persons who attend the morning breakfast area need a big standing ovation for the quality of service they provide

I will book this hotel again and again when traveling to and from visiting family Thank you for all you do to make my stay a most comfortable one

Dave Roberts

I arrived early on the afternoon of Aug 1 without a reservation I am a Hilton Honors member who often stays at Hamptons (5 times within that week) The parking lot was nearly empty so I put on my mask and went in The clerk took one look at my mask and said the hotel was completely booked

I left and waited 15 minutes and called on the phone and was told there was plenty of availability I continued on and stayed Lexington instead I guess they don’t welcome guests who care about the health and welfare of others

Vanessa Ann

The location is right off the interstate The room was nice and the beds were comfortable The main issue was the shower

There was zero water pressure, so trying to wash the shampoo out of your hair is hard when half the water is still coming out of the tub spout When in the elevator chatting with other guest, they had the same problem so it just wasn’t our roomThe hot breakfast served was overly salty, but the fresh fruit was nice and fresh and there was a good selection of yogurt

Very good price for a hotel The included breakfast is better than average and included biscuits & gravy The covered pool is cool to use when it isn’t warm outside and fun for the kids

The staff is super friendly too My only complaint and loss of the star is because housekeeping came by two hours before checkout with a do not disturb on the door Overall, I would stay here again

Brianna Worrell

The front desk representative, Robin, made up for any minor irritations, and nothing was more than minorThe hotel was truly a value for what I spent It was cozy, clean and comfortable

Most of the staff was friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond, especially Robin, on several occasionsThe biggest frustration I had was with whatever air freshener or cleaner they spray in the rooms (musky, woodsy smell) It irritates my head and my allergies which was a nuisance but may not bother all So again, not huge to all but was a problem for me personallyBreakfast was nice, it was hot and tasty with eggs, meat and biscuits with gravy as well as breads and cereals/fruits and the attendant (especially the one on Friday morning – 1/7) was very kind A recommendation for this I would add is that it would have been nice to see variety from day to day (I was there for 3 breakfasts so maybe seeing the biscuits and gravy one day then waffle maker the next, etc would have been nice rather than biscuits and gravy every day) There was always coffee and hot water (for the available tea and cocoa) in the lobby, though it wasn’t always hot – yet this was only minor too since the room had a microwave as did the dining area where you could warm up your water No big deal!A huge kudos to Robin for making me forget any other very minor irritations I may have otherwise left in a review and to the property as a whole for being overall welcoming and a valueYou can tell the property and their staff are working hard to make their guests comfortable during their stayWill definitely stay here again!

We were going to stay one night before moving along on our vacation drive but y’all made it soo hard to want to leave that we booked a second night!I just don’t know where to begin with all of the wonderful things I want to say!Literally, every single time I walked in from being out I said to my husband, “I can NOT BELIEVE how clean and fresh it smells in here!”From the lobby, to the Fitness Center

there was such a pleasant aroma throughout the building! It was so clean and cozy! Surfaces polished and shiny! All furniture in top notch condition and floors, tubs and appliances spotless! 🙌🏻The rooms were bright and spacious, and we were beyond thrilled with the price! The complimentary breakfast was hot and delicious and the staff just as helpful, friendly and accommodating as could possibly be!Even the outer grounds were litter/butt free and quite obviously tended daily! We will be back to Roanoke again soon and I will not even consider staying anywhere else!Thank y’all so very much! What an absolute pleasure!

My wife and I planned our wedding from halfway across the country, and Lisa was a great asset in helping us understand the available hotel resources and rooms, and the mechanisms available to our guests to book rooms She also offered to personally manage the bookings if any of our guests had difficulty with the process (some where not state-side during the process, leaving them with only email to contact the hotel) Once we checked in, we felt greatly supported by Lu and Linda and the rest of the hotel staff

Our wedding was on a Saturday and Linda kept the bar open late for us (coordinated ahead of time with a definite drop dead time) helping us to feel as though she was heavily invested in tending to our needs and wants We had a few hang ups, as regularly occur with large events such weddings, and the staff rapidly provided us with great solutionsThe rooms were quite large in comparison to any of the other lodging available in town The breakfast in the morning usually entailed eggs, meat, yogurt, waffles or pancakes, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and juice Sometimes they didn’t have water at breakfast, which was a little weird, and sometimes it was an ice water jug at the bar There is some covered parking, but likely only for about 40% of the guests We had beautiful weather the whole time save one afternoon, so it was never a concern for us We used the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and a couple times to various locations out in town While the regular driver was on vacation during our stay, the stand in drivers were knowledgeable, polite, and good drivers

Alison Holland

We stayed here for two days and were suppose to stay at another hotel closer to where our family lives Needless to say we checked out and checked right back in to this hotel, staying four nights Everyone is so accommodating and friendly

The rooms are clean and comfortable with fresh linens and extra towels The children were happy on the pull out couch/ day bed and had fun in the indoor pool We all had such a great night sleep with the down comforter and pillows The showers were refreshing with great water pressure and full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash There is always fresh coffee and tea, cereal, breakfast bars, and oatmeal They also serve a hot breakfast till 10 We look forward to staying here again and will not stay anywhere else Thank you to all the staff who made this trip enjoyable and a special thank you to Lu who is so super wonderful, hard working, accommodating, and sweet, making our stay feel like home away from home

Heidi Sue Ross

We truly enjoyed our stay at SpringHill Suites in Roanoke! We drove up from Raleigh for the weekend, found the hotel easily, and immediately felt welcomed by the staff here Our room was clean, comfortable and well laid out, and housekeeping did a great job of taking care of our needs All of the staff was friendly and helpful, but Linda and Jeanie were true standouts in their warmth and professionalism! An unexpected bonus was the “front row seat” to the fireworks show on the evening of 7/3- we opened the window to hear everything, and we had an amazing, unobstructed view from our room on the 4th floor

We definitely plan to stay here again on future trips! Thank you to everyone at this hotel for a wonderful weekend experience!

Hotel was ok Best I can say is it was a place to lay our head at night The hotel seems to have been renovated but it feels like the owner did the bare minimum updates to satisfy whatever requirements Marriott had for them

Definitely not gong above and beyond to provide a top notch customer experienceOur room was very humid So humid you could feel the water in the carpet and bedsheets Maintenance came the next day to check the AC (those old hotel window units) Everything was working fine but they felt the humidity as well and brought up a dehumidifier for the duration of our stay Not sure why central HVAC was not installed as part of the remodelCould have been worse I guess

Quinn Sutton

Conveniently located just a few minutes from Roanoke Regional Airport

clean, bright property with very personable staffthey are very welcoming and accomodating! Ask for Ericashe is amazing! Being a customer service Supervisor for American Airlines and dealing with people every day, people like Erica would make me ABSOLUTELY use this hotel anytime I’m in town!

Beth Kinstler

The hotel stay was fine however the room information is incorrect Says the king room with sofa bed can sleep four, but in reality it is 3 The sofa bed is not double/full size but a twin

I asked the lady at front desk if there had been a mistake and she told me 3 fit in the king bed!!! I had to either have my son in bed with us or lay the mattress directly on the floor and have other child sleep on sofa cushions

Devra Brusso (Lashing)

Can tell it’s been recently renovated Overall clean The bed was very comfortable

The sheet metal base was weird though You can hear the metal popping if you sat near the foot of the bed Shower felt like being in a space pod but it was roomy Took a moment to understand the temperature control vs pressure control Did it’s purpose for the night so nothing to complain about

Mykl Dean

I’m a local and I needed a place to stay for the night My girl and I had an excellent stay the staff was exceptionally professional even though my credit card was acting a fool After the second attempt it went through without a hitch and everything was groovy but if you’re looking for a nice clean Hotel in Roanoke Virginia this would be a good place to go

Sheets are clean rooms are immaculate you can’t ask for more than that And it was only $99 a night

Sarah Creamer

I stayed for 3 nights recently The room smelled bad and was persistently damp The humidity was so bad that nothing could dry and the carpet felt somewhat wet and sticky

The carpet was a dark color so it was hard to see, but it definitely felt/smelled moldy There was also a group of three men that liked to hang out in the parking lot who harassed me several timesI got an email asking for feedback, so I was honest This prompted a chain of belligerent emails from the owner implying that I was lying and/or wrong because I had not complained during my stay I assumed that I had been given the best room available and I was too busy to move to a different hotel Given how he came across in these emails I can’t imagine I would have been treated differently if I had said something at the timeSimply the fact that the room I was given was up to the hotels standards is alarming

The room was very spacious and generally clean but not super clean Everything worked fine, sinks, toilet, shower, air conditioner The location was great for us but nothing is really walking distance but the Catholic Church next door

The room itself smelled fine but the corridor smelled like a locker room The breakfast was included but pretty light, only cereal, toast and pastries, yogurt, and waffles to eat The staff was generally friendly and helpful The luggage carriers were great, quite large and there were plenty of them

Benjamin Nguyen

Reserved room through Hotelcom Hotel clerk Meet said there was no record of reservation

As it was late; I booked a room Then went to my room and called Hotelcom who said they do have record of my booking, and called hotel and spoke to Meet Bottom line, I had to pay for the room again and hope Hotelcom will refund my ticket Hotel was very clean, spacious Great hot breakfast If wasn’t for check in snafu, would be 5 starsADDENDUM: Comfort Inn agreed not to charge me for the room twice Gave 1 star back We stayed at 5 hotel/Inn during this trip Comfort Inn was the best Will choose Comfort Inn going forward

A delight that exceeded expectations: As we traveled from NYC to Charleston SC, we planned to stop for a dinner with family in Roanoke Much to our delight, we stayed at The Hotel Roanoke The overnight stay became an experience rich with historical and architectural appreciation, comfort and hospitality

From the welcome at the main entrance by the Valet Service to the Receptionist who worked to respond to our slightly early arrival (noting that we are Hilton Honor clients) – locating the room we reserved, the stay that we would talk about began The room was well appointed with everything we would need or want The view was as we requested My spouse went for a swim as I relaxed after a long drive We would eventually find our way back to the wonderfully inviting lobby – a great place to sit, relax before dinner and take in the ambiance Dinner in The Pine Room was satisfying, giving us time to visit with family over an enjoyable and fulfilling meal We ended the evening with drinks as we sat around tables off the lobby that encouraged conversations It was a delightful stay that exceeded expectations

“Rose Hill Bed & Breakfast”Wendy B&B owner, offers exceptional hospitality throughout stay Her customer service skills are outstanding, she engages with each guest interested in their plans and finds from local markets and antique shops Wendy’s 3 course gourmet breakfast are delicious

We spent 4 nights in the Garbo Room of Rose Hill It’s a wonderfully decorated property The room accommodations were comfortable and clean

There are plenty of nearby restaurants for lunch or dinner and some are within walking distance Wendy Blair, the property owner and hostess is very nice and friendly and she makes a wonderful breakfast Every morning there was something different to tempt your taste buds Her homemade muffins made with her own recipes are amazing Each breakfast is 3 courses including a muffin, some fruit dish, and a main entree She is very accommodating to specific food needs, likes, dislikes, and the time you’d like your breakfast served If we pass through Roanoke again, we will be sure to pay her a visit and stay again

Ken Brown

We stayed here 2 nights in the Garbo room Wendy was our host and provided delicious 3 course breakfasts each morning Each meal started with a mouth watering muffin followed by a fruit and then a main course

The house itself, built in 1909 was completely restored with lots of fine details The front porch was large and inviting We look forward to returning!

Great hotel if you are ok with losing your room while driving from out of town! My husband , dog and myself have stayed at this location a few times as it is a halfway point for our trips I made an online reservation almost a week before the stay, did the online check in where it said room was ready As we are en route to hotel after many hours of driving I get a call from the front desk worker “hi just letting you know we are overbooked you don’t have a room

” … I’m sorry what? She could have cared less, I said well that’s odd because I have had this reservation for days , and my online check in says room is ready Front desk worker said “oh yeah weird our system did something I’m not really sure but no rooms” … I said well what is then resolution here? We are literally on our way with our dog and need a place to stay, can I talk to the manager? Shockingly no manager was there, the front desk worker said she’d have the manager call me back… You guessed it no call We had to call Hilton Corporate which took around an hour with being re routed to multiple people and departments- while eventually corporate did help us to figure out a solution the whole thing was simply unacceptable At one point someone told us oh try the holiday inn down the road, WHAT! I will absolutely never book to stay at this location let alone any home 2 suites as that is so unsettling not knowing if you really do have a reservation with little to know help Maybe look into “the system “ that does the booking because I sure hope no one else has to deal with such

Elisabeth Mitchell

My partner and I stayed here over the weekend and were impressed with the staff members and their assistance We stayed in a handicap-accessible room, as it was all that was available with a king sized bed that was originally booked, and the room was equipped with a sink and refrigerator which were both perks The room was large enough for us to accommodate a pack and play for our baby, which was also helpful

Unfortunately the hotel itself has seen better days The rooms are noticeably starting to fall apart, from peeling wall paper, to half-done repairs (ex: the toilet paper holder was moved but the hole where it used to be was patched very poorly), the bathroom sink leaked when used, and during our stay 1 of the 2 elevators stopped working and slowed everyone down Neither the ice machines on the first or fourth floors worked either, which was disappointing

Katy Lesold

I stayed in a suite which was nice and large for my 2 toddlers to have room in Unfortunately the pool was closed for a bit, then the chlorine was so strong in the pool area we were forced to leave after 5min bc our eyes were burning Location is great! Hotel staff is friendly, hotel does need a lot of updating

Was not a fan of walking through people smoking to get in the side door with my children and myself having asthma and allergies It’s an adorable outside area but way too close to the entry doors

For starters, Summer, the evening front desk representative was fantastic! We stayed on the fifth floor – room was spotless, stocked with all supplies, smelled good, and everything was fresh ALL the staff no matter the position greeted my wife and I, no matter the time of the night The morning there was a nice time frame of a few hours of breakfast included

The kitchen staff was meticulous with their cleaning, the food was fresh, and again all supplies well stockedThank you again for the great experience and the fresh food Keep up the good work

Vincent furfaro

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel It passed my cleaning test I usually don’t sleep when I stay at a hotel with the exception of this one

The breakfast was simple and good The only complaint I have is that the shower curtain sticks to you when you are taking your shower They might have to consider putting shower doors that would make it the best hotel experience ever

t iijima

I have stayed in thousands of hotels literally over the decades and this is one of the nicest Beautiful rooms and bathroom, spotlessly clean and very comfortable (see pics) Hotel is clean all over, staff is friendly, and breakfast is hot and fresh

This was a converted Sheraton into a Fairfield and the quality shines through Highly recommend, Marriott’s done a wonderful job here

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had I stayed here for the Ironman in town, and they were first class! Super prepared for everyone and even accommodated a really great continental breakfast for us at 3am Their manager was incredibly helpful, and this is the place to stay if you want to experience Roanoke

Great hotel and town

Downtown Roanoke Hampton Inn is great and staff were awesome HOWEVER

DO NOT use the Roanoke Hampton Inn website to book your were room Some 3rd party software company likely oversees will charge an additional $80 reservation fee which is NOT clear when you a booking through the local website I’ve reported this “crime” to Hilton as Hilton should be handing bookings for Hampton Inn and not some 3rd party vendor

Lovely historic house in a beautiful neighborhood very close to downtown Roanoke Lynn the host recommended a really nice bistro for dinner that was within walking distance from the inn The room was so pretty with tons of character

My only problem with the experience was that I couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the gorgeous house more! Breakfast was delicious Lynn and Jim are great with alot of personality

We stayed in the Queen Elizabeth while we were in town for a wedding in nearby Vinton It was wonderful! Lynn and Jack were very nice and Lynn was easy and fun to talk to We helped out a bunch with the wedding, so what a relief it was to come home to such a comfortable bed

It was a king and the sheets were so soft, it was like falling asleep in a cloud The blankets made it feel so cozy, like almost a weighted blanket There was also an air conditioning/heating unit in the room It was our first bed and breakfast stay and we would definitely recommend to couples looking for a unique getaway We had a nice talk with other people staying at the inn during breakfast Very wholesome We had a key to get in when we came home late, and a key to our room There is parking on the premises If we’re ever back in the area, we’d stay again Wonderfully quaint spot After looking at a bunch of hotel options, we were very happy we chose this one

Convenient location for our trip Quality is what I expected from HIE Love the firm and soft pillows they have for all to make their choice

Only thing I found as negative was lack of information about breakfast not being included in rate That was because they have someone actually preparing real scrambled eggs for breakfast and other things First time on trip that we had chopped fresh fruit available Overall I would stay again and recommend

This hotel was a good stay on our long trips between NY and Tennessee The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, showers are nice and they have a large breakfast with plenty of choices for everyone We haven’t used the pool or spa but it looks like a small one outside

I docked one star on service because their TVs weren’t working at all when we stayed and I feel they should start breakfast at 6am for early bird travelers My husband and I were disappointed to discover it was at 7am We wanted to be on the road by 7 so we left early and didn’t eat The location is great for this hotel right off interstate 81 in Salem VA Over all a good stay and we came twice this month on our round trip to TN and back

I lived here for a total of 1 year and 6 months and would have loved to stay forever but needed a two bedroom My space was clean with all the amenities which made it easy because I work a lot The owner and housekeeper are nice and amazing! It’s very quiet and my neighbors were friendly

If I ever need to only have a 1 bedroom I will definitely go back because out of all the places I’ve lived this was by far the best and will be missed 💜

I attended a company meeting at this location Very clean! Friendly and helpful staff! I didn’t room here, only went in lobby and conference rooms Clean bathrooms! No mask requirements

All of my expectations and accommodations were met! I would definitely stay here overnight if I needed to in the future Very close to local malls, shops, restaurants, and conveniently located within 10 minutes of the Roanoke-Blacksburg Airport

Room was clean and quite Hotel very pet friendly Lady at the check in desk around 5:30pm 3/31/2022 gave our Buster a doggie treat

The guy at the bar was very friendly and suggested the Cuban sandwich and I got unsalted fries to share with Buster The guy working the bar in the morning at breakfast time 4/1/2022 was most pleasant and in a chipper mood Told us about the breakfast buffet and where we could sit with our dog Buster so we could have breakfast he even brought Buster a bowl so I could share eggs with him instead of feeding from my hand I wish I had gotten these mens names Would love to stay here again I think everyone went above and beyond

If you wish you have air conditioning, power & housekeeping throughout your stay, I wouldn’t suggest here We were never brought new towels during our 4 night stay, housekeeping never came to our room & they shut the power off while our girls were getting ready for a national pageant They also advertise directv, but you really only get about 12 channels (not even local channels)

We also did not have a toilet paper holder Completely unacceptable

My wife and I stayed here on 7/11/2022 The room was large, clean and quiet The staff were friendly and helpful

The breakfast area was cleaned and well maintained The breakfast itself was standard fare you would see at a hotel but it was plentiful and good tastingThe hotel itself is on the northern portion of Roanoke and less then a mile off of I-81 You will have to travel a little (5 minutes or so) to have sit down meal for the evening, but it’s not that far and there are plenty of suggestions with directions available at the front deskThe hotel has an indoor pool, fitness room and business center

I don’t like writing less than stellar reviews, but this hotel was very off brand from most of the Hilton umbrella hotels I’ve stayed atStaff was extremely welcoming and helpful, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the three employees I met brieflyThe biggest issue was the humidity in the room

I arrived at 2 AM so didn’t have much time to get settled before going to sleep, the floors, sheets, and pillows were all noticeably and uncomfortably moist Running the AC for about an hour solved this issue, but I was consistently having very long days and ended up having to sleep on nearly damp sheets each night I checked out a night early and stayed at a friends house after the third night of coming back to damp sheetsThe mini fridge did not work well, if at all, I kept one water bottle in it and it came out slightly cooler than room temperature at best The bath tub faucet leaked and the tub didn’t drain fully while the shower was running The room itself was just dated overall, bits of trim on the floor chipped off, minor stains, etcThe outside door near my room rarely locked fully unless it was pushed close deliberately, but the hotel isn’t in the worst part of town so that was just a minor concern One of the locks on my door was also broken, but the deadbolt was still workingGreat potential with some general maintenance, but the wet sheets are a deal breaker for now

Normally, I really like the Hampton Inn but when I arrived at this location at 3:30 PM for a funeral the next day, I was told by the front desk clerk that the room wasn’t ready and to come back in 30 minutes even though check in is 3 PM

after going to McDonald’s to get some food, I was allowed to check in I was told that the room was being cleaned while we waited but honestly, as the pictures show, this room was filthy and they only put clean towels and linens in before saying it was clean I washed my sons feet four times and they continued to turn black from the carpet if he took his shoes off The bathroom was so nasty and the shower head was so covered in mold, I didn’t feel comfortable even taking a shower to get ready for the funeral prior to check out Hampton Inn always has good breakfast and it didn’t disappoint, but the rest of the stay was less than great I hope they can get the floors and bathrooms cleaned properly before the next guest
