The staff was very friendly and helpful The first room we got was absolutely gross, but we were quickly given another one that was much better The breakfast options were great, get there early to get the best choices

The location is good you can see the amusement park from the parking lot The pool looked a little risky Overall a pretty good value choice stay

My wife and I stayed here on June 20-21 after a long day at Carowinds & Carolina Harbor We checked in late (10pm) and the front desk staff was very friendly and professional We have stayed here many times before and love the location, staff, accommodations and complimentary hot breakfast

This stay was a little different – however things were handled very well by the staff My wife noticed the tub was not draining fast when taking a shower I went downstairs to the front desk and let the lady know about the problem She originally stated it’ll have to be looked at by maintenance in the morning but also offered to look at it herself (even if it was 10:30 at night!) I agreed to let her look at it and she was very adamant about getting it resolved After some pulling and tugging, she got assistance from another coworker who was able to successfully unclog the drain (LOTS OF HAIR)…and they cleaned the tub out well with disinfectant After they left, the shower drained as it should This was impressive customer service and why we will continue to come to this hotel when visiting Carowinds Great job Comfort Inn At the Park staff!!

The Pink Room

Currently still here but I had to leave a review on Johnathan the receptionist because he was amazing and very informative I hope he is being paid well here He greeted me so nicely and made me feel welcomed which is significant because I’ve visited a few hotels this weekend and none of them were exceptional as he was

Definitely wish I came here to begin with ! Thank you Johnathan keep up the great work

I’ve frequented hotels for over 25 years and never experienced this before

the light blocking curtains are intentionally installed in such a manner that you cannot close them As others have complained, the beds are uncomfortably firm Then, the TV service went out just before 1AM for approximately 20 minutes I doubt I’ll ever stay here again

Michael Koon

The internet is terrible Never more than 5mb download speeds, less than 1 most of the time I called front desk about it, and despite advertising high speed internet, they apparently don’t offer it

Don’t plan on getting any work done on a laptop without having a mobile hotspot Kind of wild to have such slow internet at this kind of hotel these daysAlso, check your shower, mine only stayed hot for about a minute before running cold for a few minutes, and kept repeating this cycle After working in 100 degree heat all day, the cold water was pretty shocking

Before I decided to book a room at this Best Western, I checked out the ratings and reviews of several other hotels near this one They were mostly in the 3_ range or lower for various reasons including cockroaches, dirty bed sheets, rank musty room odor, etc

When I walked up to the front desk at Best Western, Dana was very cordial, courteous, and professional She checked me in without a hitch and even took the time to strike up a friendly conversation, which made me feel very welcomedWhen I walked to my room, I discovered that my room door was right next to the exit door (to the stairwell) on the second floor I thought this might be a problem with noise of people coming in and out and the door slamming shut I opened the door and let it close and it was very quiet, so I was relieved that that would not be a problem When I walked into my room, it smelled fresh…there was no stale or musty odor The room was brilliant and looked like it had recently been remodeled Everything was up-to-date and sparkling clean! The heat and AC worked well, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was very well put together The maid service kept my room tidy each day and refreshed the towels, etc My two night stay could not have been better!

Mila Kukacka

Nice and clean hotel, we spent only 1 night but it was very pleasant stay All new upgraded and clean, hot breakfast, shower worked wellNice, pleasant and helpful staff, When we checked out in the morning, Monique was very pleasant and cheerfulThe only thing I was not too happy about was the noise from the highway, next time we will have to ask for quiet room( that’s why only 4 stars)

Hillary Attar

Nice rooms very clean and staff were very helpful My only criticism would be that the extra blanket they brought us for the pull out couch bed was super itchy and uncomfortable, and they didn’t have any pillows available so we had to use 2 from our bed to give our kids, leaving us with 1 very flat and lumpy pillow each Still though, I would definitely stay again!

A lot of people like to leave negative reviews, but I want to focus on what this location did right They have amazingly friendly staff who made me and my daughter feel welcome I was pleased to find out that pets are indeed allowed, which means the next time I travel I may bring my furbaby with me

The location is family friendly They have a fire pit and grills outside to cook on But if you want to dine in, they have a stove, full size refrigerator and will supply pots and pans, utensils, and seasonings The beds are so plush and comfortable, I slept soundly So grateful to get to stay at this location when I visited Rock Hill I will definitely return

The Service was very poor and the rooms were horrible Can you say Motel 6! After traveling 8 hours, I arrive to a smelly and Stinky room The toilets and the tubes were nasty

The toilet seats were yellow with the ceramic coming off of them The bottom of the tubes where horrible When you turned the shower on the pipes pushed water out and wet the whole bathroom There were rust on the walls and the smell of mildew and urine filled the hallways I arrived at 8 am and reported the condition of the room They offered to move me or come clean it I elected to move The manager asked if I could give her until noon When noon came around, I called the front desk and she said she would send someone They did not do a good job! At all! The manager was rude and disrespectful I left the hotel She never checked me in probably and she found my credit card number and charged be for a room , I never stayed at She charged my card without permission I never gave her permission to charge my card She lied and said she waited for me to come down and she did not I would not let my pet snake stay here The breakfast was horrible the pool smelled like swamp water You would have been better off sleeping in an alley

Colleen C

Traditionally select Marriott properties This one is a disappointment- actually it’s a dump Old, hallways smell, rooms leave a lot to be desired – small and not what I’d consider clean enough

Dishes still in the dishwasher No contact with any staff Picked as it was dog friendly Wish I’d read all the reviews before booking Choose the Hampton Inn that’s right next door – same price – and reviews are better

If I could give a zero rating I would We booked a reservation at this hotel as it was listed as pet friendly at bookingcom

After driving for over 13 hours, we arrived at the hotel exhausted and looking forward to our room Earlier in the day, I received an email that my credit card had been declined Not true as I called right away and the hotel put the room charge through before we arrived When we did arrive, the front desk manager asked me if we had any pets When I said, a cat he gave me a cold stare and said I’m not giving you the reservation because we don’t take cats I thought he was joking at first I told him that I had already paid and had booked the hotel as it was pet friendly He said, “you’re not staying here” quite rudely And we only take dogs” I then asked for a refund and he waved me off, that I would receive it in 3-5 days This is the rudest person I have ever encountered working for a hotel He could have cared less about our situation and that we had to now scramble for another room at a different hotel on a Friday night No suggestion about where I could look When my husband came in and asked to see the manager, he said he was the manager A verbal altercation took place as he continued to be very offensive and he commented that we should not be travelling with a cat Fortunately the service rep at bookingcom found us a room at the Hampton Inn at a higher rate We will never stay at a La Quinta again I still can’t believe how awful the front desk person was

Carmon Angel

Wonderful stay! Night shift employee, Christin was amazing! She helped us multiple times whenever we needed something Super pet friendly and clean rooms Only issue – thin walls

The ice machine woke us up multiple times but the amazing customer service made upFor it Thank you christin! 🙂

BUYER BEWARE Terrible customer service Stayed there over the weekend for a volleyball tournament in the area

First off, they only had one pack-and-play for parents with small children (which is odd for a hotel) and when I asked for it, they flatly said “it’s broken” Ok…so I made my own accommodations and my baby just had to sleep in the bed with me Then I asked for a late checkout (early in the morning in case the game went over by an hour or so), typical request obviously, and the front desk again flatly said “No” No reason was offered and when I asked why not, they still did not provide a reason Just glares I was being very pleasant so I don’t understand why the staff was being so rude They get paid to be there, especially in a service-type occupation in which you deal with people on a continual basis so if they hate it so bad why not just look for another job I will avoid this hotel and blacklist it from our volleyball tournaments as ‘available hotels in the area to stay at’ in the future Hope this helps

Everything was so perfect It was better than perfect!!! The rooms were big for having two beds, the beds were comfortable, the room decor was relaxing, and our room was SUPER clean There were two bottles of water in the room for us to use for coffee or drinking

It was nice that we didnt have to use tap water I felt safeBreakfast wasn’t free but the chef and breakfast attendant went above and beyond to make sure we were happy The grits were amazing! We got a great rate for a Saturday night I’m not a morning person so it was awesome that I had such a perfect morning to start my the day off right! I had just driven ten hours from Florida the day prior So waking up feeling refreshed, having a perfect breakfast and having a perfect morning was a great way to get back on the road It really made a huge impact on the rest of my day! I’m so happy that mom and I decided to stay at this location for the night

Stayed for one nightWas upgraded to a bigger, more comfortable room which was a nice bonus The room was showing some age, with signs of drywall/plaster peeling from parts of the ceiling – this was the only negative

Staff was friendly, and accommodating Weather was good, so we took advantage of the pool and the weekend buffet style breakfast was quite good

lucas prestera

The property wasn’t the cleanest, but the staff was super nice and accommodating , bathrooms could use updating and light switches looked nasty, the carpet in room 212 had multiple stains and the couch looked “well used” to be nice about itI probably will just stay at the Tru by Hilton down the street in the future

Here now and was supposed to be staying next weekend Canceling and will never book this location on our frequent trips to the area Found whole Oreos on the floor, candy behind pillow on chair, TV won’t turn off (had to unplug it), bathroom surfaces are sticky, shower dirty, table dirty, scratched up pans, dishes not put away, stained coffee pot

Old, dirty, unprofessional staff to top it off No manger on site Stay elsewhere!!! We are not picky travelers, and travel often, but this is not anywhere near Marriott standards! So disappointing!

Tatiana K

The front desk staff during the day was the worst I’ve ever come across Literally not even a smile upon arrival, not from anyone including the manager The food was unpalatable

The reservation system online doesn’t sync with the reservation system in this hotel I was forced to leave and go to a Hilton The only polite front office staff was the gentleman who works in the evening He’s the only reason the hotel received 2 stars

Ciara Williams

Overall the hotel is fairly new and in a good quiet area The cleanliness could be better If the shower isn’t cleaned often, it will deteriorate over time

This was my first time using the bonvoy marriott app and the keyless option took a while to update There’s an option to put in service request which can be confusing because you have to go get the items you are requesting Other than that, my stay was decent I carry shower shoes (flip flops) because hotel shower/tubs aren’t always sanitized Someone had a key to my husband’s and I room while we were sleeping I woke up because I heard them trying to get in I called down stairs and the manager apologized, and that was it

I legit could not ask for anything more !! Awesome work to the staff and employees that puts the time and effort into making it the way it is!! Wish I could give more stars!!! Stopped over for a night on our road trip – We arrived a little late at 9pm The check in and check out process was swift and the service rendered by Tazay was amazingThe room & bathroom were super clean

Loved the hot breakfast with sausages, eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, orange juice, yogurt and waffles Lovely staff, very polite Good place for a stop over if driving long distance as it is close to the i85 I would definitely stop over again should I need accommodation in Charlotte!

Ivonne Raiford

I absolutely loved the customer service After a 8hr delay missing a flight (missing 🧳) is nice to see someone that smiles and says let’s not stress you anymore, here is a toothbrush and some toothpaste get some rest and let me know what else I can get you The bed was sooo comfortable, the bedroom was very spacious nice size fridge and microwave

Everything was super clean The person at the counter made sure I was aware of the breakfast time and offered to do a wake up call so I wouldn’t miss breakfast (Since I came in at 3 am ) I’m glad I woke up for breakfast they had pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and 🤤 cinnamon rolls Fruits , cereals, bagels and more I’m just sorry I only stayed 1 night The hotel doesn’t offer the airport shuttle but it’s worth extra cost for the taxi (Sorry,I was too tired to take pictures )

Decent Marriott, but going to give this one 5 stars because of v good service All the staff were good including front desk What really stood out was lady in charge of breakfast (Patsy?)

Wonderful to meet someone so passionate about her job who enjoys helping guests She insisted on personally cooking waffles for me and my sons– lots of laughs and smiles (see pics)

H Boney

Second time staying here very disappointed in the staffing I asked to change rooms they informed me they were sold out Went back an hour later to get some utensils

A lady walked in and asked for a room They gave her an executive suite and the rate was cheaper than the one I had for single bed king room and I’m a Marriott Bonvoy Member I asked again and they claim they forgot I wanted an upgrade In short the doesn’t matter if you a Marriott Bonvoy Member or not they treat non-members better and they don’t care if you get the accommodations you want Very disappointed in the staff The hotel is nice but the staffing do not understand customer service Insult to injury the bed was a queen I’m 6’3″ and my feet was hanging off the bed If you can find another hotel I would recommend you go that route

Desiree Shaw-Stephens

First of we were supposed to be in Room 310 and at 9 at something and the room was DIRTY , the bed had obviously been slept in and there were dirty wet towels all over the bathroom 😠😠 They did give us another room but my goodness and the room we did have , supposedly has a pull out sofa bed and the mattress on that bed was trash !! I’m not sure you could even call that a mattress You might as well sleep on the floor

The room could deserve a little more detail oriented cleaning, we found candy wrappers hidden under the phone, and the shower had enough bodywash for only one person Other than that it was a great stay, staff was great! Very attentive to all our needs on every shift Pool was a little small, but just big enough to have a great time with our nieces and nephew

Linda Noga

All of the staff was friendly and Check-in was quick and easy staff friendly, although our keys did not work Breakfast the next day was good, a nice variety, good coffee, nice staff BUT The next day we come back and the key didn’t work again

And the TV didn’t work But because it was after 8 o’clock there was nobody on call we had to wait till the next day Next day in the morning the TV was fixed but I had to call again to remind That afternoon the keys didn’t work …again 3 days in a row They said the key won’t work if it’s rubbing against other cards, mine was in a dress pocket by itself The iron in the room didn’t work We were not told that housekeeping would not be coming to our room, you’d think we should get a break on the price or more points We were here 5 nights, every night I asked for decaffeinated coffee and twice I asked for toilet paper Lastly, I had to ask for towels to be refreshed Oh lastly don’t buy water, it’s $4 for a 12 oz bottle that’s $50 at Costco,

Nelson Barringer

Greetings,I first would like to acknowledge it took 3 days before I was able to reach a person at the font desk, either no answering or they simply hung up on me Next I would like for you to be aware of the customer service that’s given from your front desk representative, I was explaining with using your IHG app and your IHG website it was providing two different information as far as having it accessible room She chose to over talk me would not hear what I have to say I didn’t explain that booking

com is also showing accessible rooms just like your website but not on the app She told me that you are don’t have any rules which that is untrue because I was able to find two rooms available accessibly for my in-laws on tomorrow night stay I do have updated preferences however I am very exhausted from talking to the individual at the front desk and feel like I was miss treated and overheard As a customer service representative you should always be attentive to what the customer is saying and ensuring that you are not over talking so that they can properly explain their issue My issue was not resolved and I am uneasy about my in-laws staying the night over here I would like a call back from you that general manager with an apology and allowing me to express my sincerely concerns You will find that I am a platinum member and my business also provide us with discounts for staying at your hotels I know this is not something that I should go back and report to my job that your hotels are treating members as suchYours truly the mistreated customer

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel This website will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in this area

I’ve been coming here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you definitely won’t be disappointedAll of the employees are so accommodating and awesome! I have to give a special shout out to Raymond! After a long stressful week I checked in to this hotel and was greeted with so much kindness that it was mind-blowing Raymond has excellent customer service skills and he went above and beyond to help me with all of the questions I had about the property and the surrounding area since I was traveling from out of state We need more customer service representatives in our world like Raymond!!

This Hyatt Place is one I stay at because of it’s proximity to the airport and so I can get out of Charlotte, southbound, without getting stuck in much traffic I wouldn’t stay here if you’re heading north in the morning, as 77 has a tendency to back up with rush hour This an older Hyatt Place that uses other hotel brands soaps (Best Western shampoo that smells like confetti cupcakes?) and only gives you one soap bar (what do I wash my hands with?), which is kind of a pain

Proximity to the road means that if you get a room on the street facing side, you may we awakened by the Challengers and Chargers making sure you know how utterly cool their drivers are Breakfast here is also more limited than some of the nicer, newer Hyatt Places I stay at Food options nearby are VERY limited and after 9 PM good luck Best part of this hotel is the staff Very friendly, very kind

amber garner

Very disappointed This location has really went down The carpet was VERY dirty, the fire detector was missing, electric panels missing

I itched the whole time I think carpet mites I triple checked to make sure it was nothing else The TV didn’t work at first Only saving grace was the guy at desk (can’t remember his name) He brought me 3 different remotes and called later to double check that the TV still worked Also the ice machine didn’t work, had to go to 3rd floor, which smelled like weed I understand staffing shortages and again, staff was fine But management should do better Definitely don’t stay here For some reason, the pics won’t post But I plan to turn them in How do you not have a fire detector? How is that safe or legal?

I absolutely love this place I stayed two weekends in a row! The first weekend I was extremely upset because I took my children to swim for the weekend and they were unable to do so because some kids bullying my son! Melissa came down personally to make sure my son was okay But MSLILLIE IS OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!!! She comforted my son and make him feel so much better and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed

It was only because of her that we came back for my son’s birthday on 4/16 our stay was way better this time around and we were looking forward to seeing her smile at breakfast! She is absolutely amazing and she definitely saved me as a customer because before her I didn’t want to stay there ever again!!!!! She is definitely and asset to the quality inn brand! We love MsLillie ❤️❤️❤️

Great price for the location to go to Carowinds The pool is alright, not very spacious but it was enough to satisfy the children We got the room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa, it was the most spacious room we’ve had for that combination in the last few years of taking vacations with the kids

Breakfast has a great variety!

I loved this hotel! It was super clean and the staff was friendly and helpful The hotel was so beautiful! It even had a fire pit downstairs They offered a complimentary breakfast as well

Parking was annoying because it was packed and hard to find a park Also, there was no smoking rooms Aside from that, this hotel was amazing and a good price I will definitely be staying again!!

Excellent service! I booked a reservation through a third party vendor and they botched it Tyshion was super helpful in working with the third party to get us the correct rooms on a sold out night His patience and understanding were top notch and I thank him greatly

I’m traveling with older family and young children, glad we stayed The rooms were clean and comfortable!

Above and beyond helpful I was traveling alone for work and broke a wheel on my suitcase My husband sent me new wheels but didn’t have the right tools to replace the wheels

The front desk put me in contact with the chief engineer at the hotel and he brought his tools and replaced my wheels!! Such a life saver!! Great experience and excellent customer service at this Courtyard Highly recommend

Made a reservation for a room for a certain room type Noted in the confirmation that I can’t change or modify the reservation after a given date On the date of check-in, I see that the hotel has modified my reservation for a room type I did not choose or agree to pay

No notification at all So, I can’t modify or cancel since it’s after the give time-frame Now it’s the date of the reservation and I have no other options Horrible customer experience let alone unethical business practices

The rooms are nice Bathrooms are small The refrigerator door should be reversed

The service is on the slow side and I do not really care for their breakfasts although that is more my taste than the quality of the breakfasts One outstanding service is that breakfast while scheduled to be between 6:30 and 9 AM was always ready early to help the guests that were staying for work on a local outage It was greatly appreciated by myself and other guests It definitely made up for the other minor items mentioned in my review This property is definitely a favorite and a place I would stay at again

Been a very long time (20+ years) since my last stay at a Hilton property, decided to give them a chance again after such a long hiatus Booked the reservation online and opted for the pay in advance rate which provided a significant discount I arrived early and was greeted by Kayla and Georgia…two exceptional representatives of the property

I was too early for check-in so they provided me some local options for a couple of hours When I returned check-in was easy and Kayla took excellent care of me My room was very nice and quite large…good for an extended stay with the small kitchen and full size refrigerator The room was clean, nicely appointed, and comfortable No problems the entire stay and will keep this property as a favorite when I return to this area

Pokemon Café

This location was clean, and the employees were not very friendly The room was spacious The bed was comfortable

There was 1 dishwasher liquid but no dish cloth or sponge to wash dishes There was dirty coffee cup on the dishwasher machine from the previous guestThe bathroom was running out of shampoo dispenser in the shower
