The location was convenient and seemed pretty secure Check in was efficient and we were treated well with all staff interactions Cleanliness was good throughout the property

Breakfast was standard fair with an okay variety but pretty meh quality I didn’t have high expectations and unfortunately wasn’t surprised by a stellar tasting breakfast either It’s good enoughI did feel misled regarding our room Realizing that some of this is on me for not doing better research when booking, it was disappointing to book a ‘suite’ to find it just a standard room with two beds and a pull out all in the same space My previous experience with booking suites involved having some separation in sleeping space This meant our space was cramped with 5 people but it workedI would stay here again, but make sure you know what you are getting if booking a ‘suite’

Had a nice stay here overnight The woman checking me in was very hospitable They should give her a uniform to wear though so she can feel good about her job

The room was clean Pet (dog) fee was $20 which is why we stayed here Typical HIE breakfast in the morning, which is always nice to haveAs most places go in SLC/UT – absolutely 0 social distancing or mask wearing here – save one housekeeper And we wonder why we’re still in this 2 1/4 years later I guess to be expected when all the license plates are from UT/NV/IDAlso didn’t see many (or any) hand sanitizing stations Expect to have your personal space invaded by the geriatrics in the morning buffet line, breathing all over your food

I would like to say first the Housekeeping staff is amazing and deserve 5 stars! I stayed at this property for 3 weeks while my place was being prepared Miss Martina is the best! Ashley at the front desk was accommodating and understanding deserve 5 stars! She went over and beyond to ensure my stay was a relaxing experience Now I will explain why this property is not getting 5 star because the lady that do the breakfast is by far the meanest individual I ever met

She is so damn lazy and spend most of the time on her cellphone Breakfast is the worst and she rarely put out multiple items! Everything is always undercooked and poorly managed! I wouldn’t want no one to lose there jobs but they may need to consider sitting her down and having a conversation with her!

We stay here when visiting family Sharron and Kyle are so accommodating to their guests! Our rooms are always clean along with the rest of the common areas in the hotel

thanks Gina! We needed some Ibuprofen one night and the young man at the front desk offered some up so we didn’t have to run out to get some A plus service from everyone we deal with We look forward to our next visits

Worst Hampton Inn experienceHad requested a room on the main floor in our reservation Not available

Room stunk – window was left open Window was so dirty (picture attached)Fridge didn’t workAC would turn on intermittently even when it was turned off manuallyIce machine was out of serviceNo hot water in the sink or shower ( evening when we arrived or next morning)Breakfast selection was terribleTried communicating with a manager – none on site (Hilton website – is not conducive to making a complaint Although we have received surveys in the past from our stays @ Hampton Inns – nothing was forthcoming this time)Although we have stayed at this location in the past – this was definitely a disappointment

Steve Garvin

Worst customer service EVER! The hotel general manager, or “top dog” (as he called himself) just hung up on me when I called to get the regional manager’s number to address my issue of leaving items in my hotel room closet, totally my fault I called to have them check the closet, the manager said nothing was found, you can call back tomorrow…no offer to take my name and number When I called a second time to get the regional’s number, I was told “Sir, you just misplaced your stuff” (I always misplace my suit for my sons wedding, a coat, two shirts and tie!)

He raised his voice as he assured me that all rooms and closets are thoroughly check after each customer…I said I know they don’t because my son and his family stayed in another room and had “used” bathroom towels piled up in their closet “Sir, you are questioning the integrity of my staff!” No, I replied, I just want the closet checked in room 211 “I am sure you just misplaced your items sir” I didn’t want to argue so I just asked again for the regional managers phone number…”we don’t give that out, there’s no way I am giving that to you…you would have to call corporate Okay, can I have that number? You can find it online…click He hung up on me…unbelievable! I wasn’t even going to complain to him about how his desk clerk the night we checked in could not figure out how to process an online reservation combined with an added night that we booked I did mention to the GM as a courtesy when we did check out that they needed to fix the faucet in our room…oh yea, those faucets are a horrible design he said, they spin and leak water all over the counter Exactly, I said…it’s a known issue, he replied Breakfast food and service was great, location is great, the leader of this hotel not Great at all, except in his mind You just lost a customer and actually made a very easy situation to address a BIG issue, because he didn’t know how to simply listen to a customer, address the concern without sarcasm, and find a resolution Now, I will voice my experience to everyone I know… family, fellow business travelers, etc I will now use this as a story in my business and training meetings across 5 surrounding states, including UT, of how NOT to solve a customer need/request Yes, Top Dog, you will be famous for this horrible interaction and how your condescending attitude has now made you a legend for the wrong reason I will insure that I do get to speak with your regional manager and let that person know what a poor GM they have hired and how that person has damaged the reputation of Hampton Inn! NOT a Top Dog in any sense of the word!

Beautiful property with a clean, updated feeling Check-in was quick and easy, staff was friendly This location has a larger than usual fitness facility, lobby area, pool/hot tub and probably the best hotel continental breakfast I have had

The room was nice and spacious and also clean Only a 4-star because the door to my room had definite evidence of damage to the door on the door jam (room 130) This prevented me from being able to use the deadbolt Had I been with my family instead of a business trip, I most likely would have requested a room change Guest safety should always be top priority imo I kept the room and created my own fix, see pics lol This probably won’t be the case for just about every other room I’m sure Great restaurant and shopping options all within a mile

Junior

Even with the power going out on us for 1 out of 2 days this was the best and nicest place we have stayed Extremely nice and courteous staff and really clean The mini apartment we had was so nice and COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST! I’ve stayed in so many hotels in salt lake and Utah county and this one is way better

Whatever you do never go to the grand America in salt lAke worst 1500 presidential suite we ever spent This place wasn’t even a fraction of that and was wayyyy better

Raven Carlson

It’s nice until you check out and get your incidental’s 261 dollars for logging on to the internet not to mention my car was broken into while I was there and my phone, my prescription glasses, my vapor and much more was stolen I had a lot of stuff in my vehicle because my house had caught fire hence the reason I was even staying there

They didn’t even try to work with me on the bill So I will never stay there again

We checked in last night after a long day of driving We have stayed at these hotels in the past without trouble in the past, but this specific hotel seems to have some lapses in the housekeeping departmentFirst, after the long day in the car, we all had to use the washroom

We were surprised that our room didn’t have any soap It sounds trivial, but in a time when the world is concerned about everyone washing their hands, I would have thought that this would be an important (and very inexpensive) detail for the hotel to have looked after Second, wanting a drink of water, we realized that our room’s cups hadn’t been restocked Again, not a huge issue, but it meant a second trip to the front desk and a delay in us getting to bed Lastly, however, when going to have a shower, I discovered that there was what looks like blood on the shower curtain! It was disgusting and as a result, we did not use the showerI am disappointed and will not be planning to stay at this hotel in my next visit

Taha Palwala

I had an issue with toilet( it seems little clogged a plunger would had done the job), the receptionist told me that they cannot switch me to another room since those were their premium rooms and all std rooms were fully booked Good thing was that the toilet starting working when i played with it, but the response i got from receptionist was very wierd and upsetting Besides this issue my stay was good

Marty Anderson

One of my selection criteria for a room on this occasion was a hot tub The hot tub was out of service I was not notified of this prior to, or at check-in

It wasn’t until we had changed and gone to the pool area that we found out–very disappointing The bathroom door did not latch or lock, which was a minor inconvenience as we were traveling with children The staff seemed to be overwhelmed at breakfast and had a difficult time keeping up My previous visit to the area I stayed at the nearby Quality Inn for half the price and my experiences were comparable I am still looking for the ‘right’ hotel to use when visiting my grandkids

Check in was super easy Staff member at front desk made me feel comfortable The room was clean & the stay was great, but unfortunately I left my phone charger behind and left the state

I called the same night I checked out and was told I had to call back the next morning When I called the next day to speak to the supervisor for lost and found they told me they hadn’t found anything and they did not have my charger I only stayed for the night and remember clearly that I forgot to grab it I gave them the benefit of the doubt and checked my duffel bag that only had one outfit in and it wasn’t there I’m just so sad that my charger won’t be returned

Con #1: They asked for my card even though I had the reservation OPEN on my phone, when I asked why they said “to have on file in case of damage” This is common practice at hotels so it was fine by me and I gave it to them I found out later after we got home that the hotel charged us AGAIN! I have called multiple times and they keep telling me they cannot access their employee account to fix it and that the “manager” will call me back to take care or it

It has been five days and I still haven’t heard from one manager and the charge is still showingCon #2: Bed was not great, could not get comfortable and woke up with a very sore backCon #3: Besides two packets of coffee, everything is an extra fee It wouldn’t surprise me if they charged people $10 if they were walking through the lobby with squeaky shoesPros: It was very clean

Customer service is goodClose to lots of places to eatBed is comfortableDidn’t try gym or poolGood parkingShower is a bit odd You have to get wet to turn the shower on But it’s a good shower

The body wash and shampoo in the hotel smells really nice and I will be looking to get some for sureBreakfast is good…enough I hate to seem disparaging But I travel a lot I dislike fake eggs But had good meat, had some fruit, etc

Located between highway exits across the highway from the AquariumRooms were clean and nice Small fridge, microwave and large screen TV

Next door there is the Leathernecks Bar and Grill Good place for a beer and burgerThe Black Bear is a great place for a well portioned breakfast, lunch or dinnerAbout a 10/15 minute walk there are a couple of shopping centers Everything from Kohl’s to Smith’s GroceriesThe only downside was that the location is really not that convenient for mass transit

{PFG} Professor Frankly Gaming

l spend a whole week in this hotel with my boyfriend and the rooms are clean and comfortable the bed is nice and soft and the room is nice and cool(tho you can change the temperature however you want) The only thing I would like to change is the breakfest and their options, but the scrambled egg is the best egg you will ever eat in your life

Even tho the breakfast has minor problems this hotel is a great place to stay while you explore Salt Lake City

The quality staff really make the difference in this hotel Yes, the rooms are comfortable, spacious, and clean Yes, the food is the quality you’d expect out of Hilton

But, the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable Everyone from the shuttle drivers to the desk staff are friendly and definitely exceeds expectations My only detracting comment is that the pool is super small and very noisy if multiple people are in there Still an enjoyable experience though

Steff Gorden

I would stay here again! Although it was pricey for a couple of stays it was worth it The staff took great care of me Breakfast was delicious and the rooms were a warm and welcoming stay

Rebecca in housekeeping was so sweet and after I asked her to clean my room she didn’t hesitate to go above and beyond what I asked The front desk was friendly and welcomed me with warm smiles This hotel does an amazing job!

ross langhans

Absolutely super nice people! I left a bag by the front door, and only realized it when I was a couple hundred miles from there They made sure my bag was taken care of, and had it sent to me back in Minnesota Of course I had to pay the shipping, but how great it is that the management there would go out of their way to get my bag back

On top of that, it really is a beautiful property!Thank You!!

A pleasant stay at an average hotel Booking at a Holiday Inn Express, I essentially just want a comfortable bed in a clean room This location delivered just that

We were upgraded to the suite, after requesting a top floor room We are IHG members and that ensured our complimentary room upgrade Happy with the quality of the room, it was clean (enough) and very spacious Climate controls worked fantastic – there’s an option for constant fan which is fantastic white noise during the night Bathroom was functional, and the shower was roomy with plenty of hot water and high water pressureOnly things that were negative to this stay is due to the amenities 1) The pool/hot tub area was a battleground of families and children vying for space in the water Also, the water itself smelled rancid and was very slimy 2) the breakfast was mediocre Yes, there was food options presented, but I think I’ve had better quality food served at military chow halls I was really looking forward to both of these features, and was left disappointedOverall, a good value for 3 night weekend stay Would return again!

This was the best experience I have had in awhile when visiting the Salt Lake City area The fact that they had an opening was just the beginning, (last minute reservation on Memorial Day weekend) We arrived about 4:00pm exhausted from the drive and check in was so easy and the staff was very helpful and knew their job🙂

We were offered cold water and a tour , we skipped both We located our room 😄 right across from the pool and fitness center 👏 The room was fresh and bright, clean and well stocked the shower head was amazing (pulse massage 🙃) water pressure was great, towels and shower curtain clean and attractive Coffee maker, refrigerator microwave built-in and out of the way TV remote was clean and undamaged Window was huge and well placed with privacy liners and black out curtains that were in working order The Air conditioner was great and at night the heater came on to keep us toasty and comfortable This location is my new favorite go-to when I visit my family in SLC The next day breakfast was fresh and hot (6-9 AM ) and a good variety of choices ( the only place I’ve found Cranberry juice available) 🙃👏😄 no long lines or unnecessary delays Options for seating in the dining room or your welcome to take it to your room Indoor pool and hot tub (6AM-10PM could have a good cleaning but it wasn’t gross ) was a good way to end a long rainy day, the beds were very nice and the extra pillows were a bonus(6 on each bed)👏 with the thermostat set on auto we all woke up refreshed and well rested For a last minute reservation on a busy Holiday price wasn’t too bad We opted to stay over and at first it was a little confusing as to how it would be billed, 🤨(an extra $100 for incidentals????)🤔🙄 but the clerk informed us of our options and handle everything for us Our deposit was quickly returned (2 hours) upon check out All in All it was a pleasant experience and the service and staff was excellent *****

BumbleB Flow

Staff with attitude, when one goes to work and doesn’t want to be there Projects that failure on others The online site let’s you check in at various times, but the hotel has a policy if 3 pm to 11 am, so mind that

The pool? They stuck a bird bath in an enclosed place Ants crawl the floor from under the sink to the tub, they had plenty of room and may give a better review If your with someone, you will have to take turns to get past the bed If your in a pinch why not but way over valued The staff was the biggest issue Fake smiles, yet body language doesn’t lie After a heart surgery procedure, we had to wait 3 hours to book in, even after we had selected 11 am and got a confirmation and still was 30 minutes late on that Breakfast was a 2 item selection Coffee was horrid Microwave is basically on the floor! If you value a comfortable environment, and pleasant surroundings this place is not for you Bad enough it’s Utah, don’t be lazy

I really love staying here, beautiful rooms, mini fridge and microwave are always a plus as well I always get the best night of rest here, for a couple reason For one the beds are amazing and comfortable

For two the rooms are nice and quiet The only complaint I have is the digital key So many timed I was standing at the door trying the digital key 10-15 times before it works work, so frustrating

Brittany Skelly

Staff was super kind and attentive in all areas (front desk/café/room service) Rooms were very cozy and the view of the mountains was a treat The gym and pool were totally empty on the weekdays since the guests were mostly a working/business crowd

That’s an added bonus if you want to just hang out and relax on a Monday 🙂

Melissa Burns Mugisha

We stayed here recently, over February 12th-14th in a room with one king bed When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a man who was automatically suspicious of us We’re not sure why, but because of that, he was very rude and curt with us

Thankfully the customer support lady was much nicer The room was nice, but the bathroom didn’t have conditioner or lotion provided, which we chose not to say anything about because we didn’t want to deal with the rude check-in assistant again and were only staying for 2 nights We decided to go to the pool which was completely empty the entire weekend we were there As soon as we entered, it was obvious to us why The whole pool and hot tub area smelled strongly like sewage I reported it immediately on the first day but it didn’t get taken care of before we left, even though I’m almost certain it was a health hazard The day we left, the check-out time was at 12:00pm At around 10:30am, the housekeeping staff knocked on our door, waking us up, despite the do not disturb sign on our door and the required check-out time being later Overall, it’s not worth the price and I would never stay here again Marriot usually does such a good job, but the hotel does not live up to its rating

The front desk staff are so friendly and professional and made my stay as comfortable as they could possibly can The suites are spacious clean and comfortable I haven’t tried out the Elements restaurant as it was closed the whole time we were there, but the complimentary breakfast and meals were great

Thank you for everything Luse and West Valley City Embassy! Will definitely visit you again❤️

Hotel amenities in the room are substandard Several of the light switches in our room didn’t work The TV in the main room didn’t work either

It turned on but only displayed “PHILIPS” throughout our stay (3 nights) The sofabed was completely broken, kids had to sleep on the floor The saving grace for this place was that the hotel staff were extremely helpful and very customer oriented They offered us a second room, at no charge, but can’t accept having half the family sleep in a total separate floor & room We traveled with 2 minors I would stay at this place again if they updated/upgraded their room furnishings The view was awesome though 😀

Bad Room ExperienceI made a reservation a night before my wedding in March 2022 with my 2 kids so we can get ready the next day close to the reception I checked in at 1am, they were friendly Once we were going to bed the Bed sheets were yellow! Disgusting! I called front desk, they apologized and offer to give me another room in the same floor

My kids and I packed and moved We checked the Bed sheets before unpacking and same thing Yellow!I called front desk and they offer another room in the same floor again but this time the Front desk lady went to check the sheets and Yes Yellow again!!So front desk and the security went to get clean sheets, at this time it was 3am!! We had to be up at 6am to get ready for my wedding, we were super tired!!Front desk said they will discount my stay but unfortunately they didn’tVery disappointing to Pay this price for a suit and get a dirty bed! I just hate a night before my wedding me as the Bride and my little kids had to go through this so late In the nightAt least the Breakfast was good!

We stay here quite often for personal and business trips The rooms are always clean and quiet We love that the pool is open during the late hours

There is plenty of grass areas outside for pets The location feels safe and we have never had any issues with work materials in the trucks The elevator is a little wobbly so we have taken the stairs quite a bit which is inconvenient with bags We do stay often so it would be nice to get a discount after multiple stays and being loyal!

We stayed at this best western on a spring break trip to Salt Lake city We traveled with a dog, they hold a $25 cleaning fee per night for this We were only charged a total of$25 for cleaning after we left

Probably due to having a yellow lab that shed quite a bit, so I understand and am not upset about it The rooms were very clean, the bathrooms were very clean, the hallways had a few ” sprinkles” of evidence of others staying there, but those things were not there the next day, ie, they clean this place to to bottom daily My only complaint world be that the mattresses are spring mattresses and you can tell they could use an update Overall the nights sleep was comfortable, but I did miss my memory foam bed from home Highly recommend this best western, centrally located, friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast, pool, and clean rooms!!!

Good location near the main road and has Wendy’s right beside it Lobby is small and so is the breakfast area Has a pool which is great, however, you have wet guests walking to their rooms and dripping on the carpet making the hallway and elevator smell dank (which would be ok if I were at the beach)

The shower handle (to turn the water on) also requires some force to pull, I thought I was going to snap it off the wall Front desk staff are nice and friendly Mixture of pros and cons but enough pros for 4 stars

This is an older Hampton Inn It desperately needs some attention Not in the best part of town

No refrigerator or microwave in the room as normal in many Hilton properties I was scheduled to stay for 4 nights I moved to another much better Hilton property for the same rate downtownI would recommend this place only if you need a room to sleep in or it is ski season and the rate was good Definitely better hotels in Salt Lake City to stay in

Stephanie Nightingale

Absolutely horrible customer service! An older woman’s husband was dying in the hospital and the hotel wouldn’t allow her to extend their reservation because he wasn’t at the hotel – in person! How in the world would he be able to do that? The woman offered to pay cash but the front counter shooed her away When she asked if he wanted her to sleep in her car, he just shrugged Appalling customer service

All staff were the same None seemed to like their jobs and several talked badly about new management DO NOT stay at this hotel

Because my wife is allergic to dogs and there were no rooms for her at this hotel because ALL rooms are pet friendly We asked to change rooms, no dice

even though the parking lot was basically empty We asked for a refund, no dice because we paid ahead I have stayed at Hilton properties for 40 years This has never happened before, and I hope it never happens again Or I may move to Marriott!

Good, not great We’ve been here a few times now The first times it seemed very noisy, as far as other guests

Our most recent visit we were on the top floor and right next to the elevators I was a little worried about noise from the mechanical room, but we never heard it This was definitely our quietest experience so farThe staff was always incredibly friendly and helpful, and our room was very clean The kitchenette is a nice touch at this hotel chain and came in handy with a baby using bottlesThe location is a little odd and isn’t accessible directly from a road, you have to drive to the back corner of a parking lot Otherwise the location is nice and quietThe breakfast is sub par I’ve had much better breakfasts at much cheaper hotels You’re basically restricted to either microwaved frozen breakfast sandwiches (I could only handle a few bites of mine), a waffle station, oatmeal, or typical cold hotel breakfast fare, and even then their selection of fruit was underwhelming, as were their other cold food offerings In an effort to be fancy and modern they laid out their breakfast area in a really confusing, counter intuitive way

I was reading the reviews before I booked a room here, not going to lie I was a little worried After saying for 3 days I was very surprised Everyone working was super friendly and very helpful

The room smelled really good throughout the entire trip, although the hallways did kinda smell like pot/cigarettes, if you’re in the hallway for a short period of time, it wasn’t really bothersome The room was decent, very big and had everything you need, BUT the room was kinda falling apart: wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, mildew was on ceiling, you can tell there was water damage also on the ceiling, and the bathroom hook was broken so when I placed my towel it fell off that seems like a lot of issues but it really wasn’t I didn’t mind it too much because everything else in the room made up for it I just figured I would leave it in a review so it is made aware The shower was perfect, nice water pressure and stays hot The pool was probably the best part about this hotel, the water was warm and I’m not sure what they use but it wasn’t chlorine which is amazing! I would recommend staying here because its a decent price for what you get

Fred CD

Very clean! Rooms are truly fully functional complete with a dishwasher a real refrigerator along with anything else you might need at of the kitchen including plates and forks Only drawbacks where when I checked in at midnight my keys did not work I was informed by the front desk guy that the key maker was not working so we did the digital key on my phone but that work sporadically Very unfriendly front desk girl as well when I came down the next morning to see if I could get a regular key I did not hear good morning did not see a smile on her face she actually looked like she didn’t want to be there

Breakfast ends at 9am which seems early compared to most hotels that the breakfast ends at 10 am

This room was spacious, clean, and well stocked of soaps, shampoos and other toiletries The outlets worked well and the trundle bed was a very comfortable couch in the room The TV was on a swivel and made it easy to see from the bed and the couch on the two sides of the room which had a small wall divider

The room was also well stocked with coffee makings and towels The breakfast in the mornings was served promptly and early They had juice, cereal, individual cartons of milk, packaged Belgian waffles, egg sausage muffins and fresh fruit The staff at the front desk was courteous and knowledgeable The parking lot was cramped in the front and dark in the back, it made it hard to find great parking The key return was easy at checkout In all a great stay for our wedding night

You can’t ask for a better location! This hotel is right next door to Thanksgiving Point and right across the freeway from the Traverse Mountain Outlets It’s only an exit away from IKEA and ten minutes or so from the Hale Center Theatre It was perfect for our weekend getaway! The whole place was so clean and well kept

The room had two beds plus a couch with a pull out trundle It comfortably slept our family of 5 The breakfast was abundant and well stocked They even had hot breakfast sandwiches and burritos available that were great to take and go My girls loved swimming in the indoor pool and hot tub There was even a little gazebo area outside for relaxing and reading I would definitely stay here again!

Casey Swain

Great place to stay and our family loved the continental breakfast Waffles, oatmeal, fruit, egg omelet, with milk and juice There was more but I’m unable to remember it all! The room was decent there a few things like the shower curtain rod was falling off

There was also a small pool and a small hot tub Don’t let the pictures fool you! They are pretty small! But they do have a small gym which is pretty good considering other hotels only have a treadmill and a mirror!

I often stay at this property when in town for business The staff has been great since day one and treat me like family Our company booked a meeting room for a few days and had several team members staying on property

The entire stay went off without a hitch and Jeffrey was amazing and took great care of us He was always available and whenever we needed something he was there If you are in town I highly recommend this facility for hotel or meeting needs

This place is incredible Every time I walk through that front door I’m greeted by amazing and professional individuals From day one the supervisor “Hope” was accommodating and could probably give a seminar on customer service

I’ve stayed at this specific hotel for about a month and Spencer at the front desk was able to answer every question about the area and point me in the right direction with confidence Overall I hope to come back to this hotel in the near future The employees make establishment a great place to stay and that is why I can confidently give this place 5 star rating
