Second time staying here There used to be a nice pool but they don’t use it anymore We had to order takeout from a local pizza joint because no food was offered here

But that food we did order was awesome So thanks for the recommendation! The room was very nice as were the people at the front desk The location is perfect for anyone either going to Newark Airport or the Cape Liberty Cruise Port just an easy 15 minute drive away Already planning on coming back here in January

Desiree Ferrell

This is a very business heavy location that seems to be focused towards quick airport travelers rather than people going on vacation The location to the airport is hard to beat and a major highlight if you are making a quick in and out like an overnight delay or a flight connection They only provide up to 2 breakfast meals for Bonvoy members so if you are traveling with more than two people in the same room (like children or 3 people like we were) that might be a downside

The main issue was the charges Parking is $20 a day which seems a bit much Also our final bill has some extra charges to our room that we did not make We were trying to notify the front office, but the front desk told us they would look at it later We didn’t have time to wait so we just had to pay as is or we’d miss our flight An unfortunate experience at the end, but a serviceable place for very quick 1-2 night stays

Jason Hiltabidel

The hotel is nice and the rooms were clean It’s in a decent location if you are going to the airport Beware if you are using their shuttle service

Getting to the airport isn’t a problem Returning from the airport is a big issue that they really need to fix They say they run the shuttle every half hour, 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the hour The problem is they never show upMy family and I have been stranded at the airport 2 or 3 times The shuttle never came even after calling the hotel We waited over a hour and a half at the P4 location where all the hotel shuttles are located This wasn’t a one time issue, it has happened multiple times The first two times we had to call a cab The third time a nearby hotel shuttle dropped us off It’s extremely frustrating after a long flight, it’s late, and still have a 2 hour drive homeI’ll never rely on their inconsistent shuttle service again Do yourself a favor and make other plans to get backIf driving to the airport, be careful and pay close attention to the directions The roads can be confusing and one wrong exit can add 7 or 8 miles to your trip Our cab driver found this out the hard way

The room was decent, never seemed to get cold enough though Some of the lights in the room didn’t work, the door didn’t close properly, and there was stains in the carpets The front desk people were always nice and helpful

I would never recommend getting breakfast there, the man Lamont behind the counter needs to work on his customer service skills Two days in a row he made my breakfast wrong, him being a “chef” I was expecting much better than microwaved eggs and bacon on a bun There is a wonderful breakfast place one block over that was amazing! It’s pretty close to the boardwalk and beach Parking lot is big and didn’t have to park far away from the hotel I did see they are remodeling this fall, hopefully with a new breakfast staff and cleaner rooms I will be back!

Usually when I think of this hotel and at the price of it per night, I expect higher standards The hallways were kind of muggy and funky smelling The room itself felt clean and not as smelly

But the temperature was not good for me You can only adjust the temp to 68, but the whole room was definitely not at that temperature Half was cool and the other half not so muchThe staff seemed nice The beds were very subpar to my standards Just not that comfortableWith all of that, it’s not the worst place to stay But for the money? I would have rather spent a little more to stay at another hotel next time The location is great though

We came to the area for a concert at the Hard Rock, we had a different hotel for the night and unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with the cleanliness of the TWO rooms they provided us I called around and was able to get a room here at the Courtyard by Marriott, I travel with work and the Marriott has always been reliable especially when it comes to cleanliness While this room was slightly more than the one at our first hotel, it’s well worth the extra money to have a clean space and free (updating to add parking was $15 when I received the receipt, this should be mentioned at check in just so it’s not a surprise to your guests) parking along with a welcome package b/c I’m a Marriott Bonvoy member

This place is good for a clean room and quiet atmosphere if you don’t want the busy noisy casino hotels Looks like a short walk to the beach and it was a short walk over to the Hard Rock You won’t find a bar to hang out in, and they only have a Bistro and a small snack station to buy something to drink or snack on but it’s reliable and clean The only negative is the halls and elevator are on the warmer side but the room itself is comfortable, you certainly feel the difference once you step out of your room and into the hall

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any hotel This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in this area

I’ve been staying here for a long time If you decide to stay here you for sure will love it I’m sure!Such an amazing experience Me and my friends stayed here over the weekend for my birthday because we wanted to visit NYC The entire staff was incredible, and the young woman that was working at the cafe made our coffees perfectly The food was incredible as well Not to mention the bus stop to go into NYC was only a couple minutes away on foot! I can’t wait to stay here again!!!

H Wilkes

First let me say that the rooms were nice, clean They leave you a disinfectant wipe to clean what you might want to like say the remote, etc I would stay here again if visiting Edgewater

BUT, what is up with the water pressure in the shower??? It is non-existent!!!! Such a nice big shower and no water pressure!! I washed my hair and instantly regretted it as I could not get all the shampoo/conditioner rinsed out of my hair They need to do better!!Also, another thingthe mattress we had has definitely seen some action It has seen better days and needs to be replaced At first you think, oh how comfortable but quickly found out that my husband and I cuddled every night whether we wanted to or not, as we sunk to the middleAnd my husband and I only stayed 2 nights The hotel is in a nice area, stores, restaurants close by A police station literally right there Nice walkway along the water with a beautiful view of the city, Manhattan Ferries to the city not far Just SO disappointing that I could not enjoy a nice shower and get a better nights sleep

Monica Green

My experience was terrible I’ve been a Marriott member since 2010 when I traveled heavily for work This was the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed at

The shower was dirty, the bathroom sink clogged and would fill with water I asked for more towels and wash clothes and only received towels In the morning my phone was ringing at 6:30am, but stopped Then an hour or so later housekeeping was knocking on the door I politely answered we weren’t requiring a cleaning They STILL tried to get in the room Luckily I had the stop lock on Around 10:30 they started knocking again!!! I opened the door and said I was not checked out yet! I then received a phone call in the room saying they thought I was checked out I kindly but frustratingly explained check out was not until 12pm and I was still getting dressed! I complained to the manager at the front desk at checkout and was offered 3,000 rewards He was very kind and listened to my concerns I was happy with the 3,000 rewards and felt valued and heard However, I NEVER received the rewards points Hence, writing this review I will never stay at this Marriott again!

The room were decent Clean But the hotel is old

Housekeeping barely came to clean the room at all Didn’t replace towels or anything I literally had to put the trash outside the door so that Housekeeping can empty it! I shouldn’t have to call front desk and say where’s housekeeping The elevator going to my floor was broken and rusted which is a violation I didnt really go to the pool or gym because it was closed lol It wasn’t great but a decent place to stay only for a couple days I’ve seen better hotels with decent prices because this hotel is expensive for nothing Nothing in that hotel is worth paying so much money for

Zena G

Hey, my stay was the best I especially liked the way i was treated by the staff Mr Cruz was very accomodating and informative

I will say that Mr Cruz is well trained and knows how to deal with people I was greeted with respect, patience, and mainly he made me feel like i was at a home away from home Thanks Mr Cruz

Alicia Peterson

The “courtyard” in the middle would have been nice, but the fire pit was broken The pool was out of service And at 11pm on a weekend, there was no place for a wedding party to hang out

Go outside and the front desk guy followed the father of the bride and yelled at him that he couldn’t go there The boys had to stand outside the front door to smoke a celebratory cigar Oh, and I had ants on my room We were only in the room to change and sleep No food Just bottled waters No excuse I love the franchise, not so much this location To many little issues that added up And that’s just for me, others in this large parties had some serious issues

Mom Cris of The PM Family

We stayed last week of July 2022 Clean and updated hotel Love the shower! Buffet breakfast is great and well stocked

There’s 1 big pool and 1 jacuzzi Location is great and about 15 minutes to AC Only reason we’re giving it 4-star is because of the following reasons: (1) staff at the Reception (Justin) seemed to us like he didn’t want to be there working that day or what not Lacked the energy and smile that a customer/guest would expect from a staff working at the front desk (2) their website stated indoor pool is heated but it wasn’t – water was cold We called and staff was nice stating someone will come to fix but we stayed for almost an hour and nobody came (3) toilet flush handle is loose always needed to be re-aligned See photos attachedOverall, still a good stay for us and will still recommend

Robin Boyle

Tony checked us in he was very welcoming and helpful Room is very clean and comfortable We went to dinner after checking in and upon returning found that the A/C was not working

Reported to the front desk and Tony came to the room to reset the A/C When that did not work he called Justin the Night Manager who came to the room and tried multiple things none of which worked At that point he decided to replace the entire unit This was at approximately 11pm Within 20 minutes he replaced the unit and it was working well This is above and beyond any experience we have had at any other hotel Justin and Tony set the example of what true customer service should be Kudos to both of them and because of them we will return here the next time we come come to NJ This hotel will get our highest recommendation

Eileen L. – God’s Servant

I stay at Holiday Inn & Express hotels often, however this was my very first visit here on 3/13/22 I had a wonderful stay!! My sister & I were greeted in a very sincere & friendly way by, not just one, but two men(Justin & Tony?) when we checked in We were given the room we requested(on the first floor); it was clean & comfortable with a great view of the pool! The atmosphere is peaceful & the staff is very pleasant & professional

The breakfast buffet was great! – it was tasty & well stocked & even included potatoes! I love the hotel’s location – it was a short distance from the AC boardwalk I definitely recommend this hotel & I will stay here again

Prime location – access to so many different shops and entertainment Nice rooms and affordable I enjoyed staying at this hotel but the biggest feature for me was the pool area

It is large and the seating area was very accommodating BUT the pool has not been open since the covid shut down So please be AWARE IF YOU ARE STAYING FOR THE POOL, IT HAS NOT BEEN OPEN! I have not stayed here because since then So my rating may be outdated at this point But I’ve always called for various occasions to book and see if the pool was available and it was never available So for those looking to book because it has a pool, you might as well skip past this hotel

i book two rooms, two double beds both ac are not working it is in July, feels like 80+ degree inside the hotel room

my kids crying all night because it is too hot i spoke with front desk staffs multiple times and requested to change rooms first, they said the hotel is fully booked, but the parking is filled 1/3 of car then they said i booked from Expedia, 3rd party website, they cannot make any change i went to target to buy 2 fans in order to get some sleep This hotel is ruining my vacation

We loved our rooms Having the kitchen island area to work instead of a desk was great and everything was really clean The location is great with a good view of NYC

On our last day in New Jersey we went to explore NYC We had asked the front desk if we needed to move our car or if the parking pass would still let us out They informed us the pass didn’t expire until the end of the day When we got back to our car and went to leave the card wouldn’t let us out and we had to pay $18 in addition to the $22 for parking we paid every day we were there It was a good stay but only about half of the front desk staff were great

Lilly Chris

Really great hotel! It made our stay in New York more relaxed and special Very clean and modern suite, and kitchen had all utensils necessary for cooking and eating, dishwasher was also there, and washing powder provided Personnel was also very friendly and helpful

New York city easy to reach by public transport, bus or ferry The view of New York was stunning

Monica Mak

This hotel is so pretty It’s right by the water

the only thing is, they don’t have any rooms that are waterfront directly but you can definitely see the water from the side window The suite is so spacious and updated I love how it has a full kitchen and a huge refrigerator The woman at the front desk was very polite Parking is $22 in the garage that’s located right outside of the hotel Make sure you let the front desk person know that you will be going in & out so you can retrieve a parking pass for a one time fee It’s very close to NYC!! Complimentary breakfast… don’t expect a full meal It was breakfast sandwiches, cereal, quick meals Still good 🙂 the only thing is I wish they had a pool but it was still a great stay This will be my new go to hotel when I come into town Thank you Residence Inn!!!

I booked 3 rooms, got them on the same floor I wiped everything with my Clorox wipes and was happy to see no dirt or even dust! The bartender was nice, the restaurant was closed off but kitchen was still open, we ordered food and ate by the bar The location was great, restaurants in walking distance and the train to NYC was nearby too which is where we spent most of the days

Beds were super comfy…my toddler and infant slept well and my parents and in laws stated they slept comfortably Overall good experience here and will book again when visiting

Marianna Mansour

Had to book a block of rooms for several directors for a corporate offsite nearby Karen was very nice and accommodating Everyone was very impressed with their rooms

It was much more than they were expecting I liked my waterfront view, the comfy bed, and the amenities They even offered extending our rate to others outside our company who had to meet us in town Karen even followed up to make sure we were happy Service was excellent!

Jenn Q

Our stay was mostly pleasant My biggest complaint is that two of the elevators need to be serviced The sensors do not work

For most of our stay we dealt with the doors closing on us as we walked in, but we dealt with it because it bumped either my husband or myself But when our four year old was pushed down into the elevator and onto the floor because the door began to close on her, that was not okay Thankfully I was able to put my arm and leg in to prevent the elevator from completely closing on her feet I reported it to the front desk They were apologetic and said they would have someone come out and service the elevator We checked out that same day, so I’m not sure if it actually happened Our room was okay We didn’t use the sofa bed because it was worn and looked like it needed to be replaced The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly There was a lot of dust and a used Q-tip on the shelf underneath the sink where our “clean” towels were The shelf clearly had not been wiped in a while Thankfully, I always travel with Lysol wipes and Lysol spray I cleaned that area and we asked for a clean set of towels Would I stay here again, I’m not sure It would depend on if the elevators were actually fixed The other issues were manageable

We stayed recently for a medical appointment and we were very happy with our stay Check in was a breeze with friendly staff The room was larger than expected and had an included mini fridge and microwave

I liked the sitting room being separate from the beds and how comfortable the couch was The beds were just right and I had a great night’s sleep The pool is indoor which is wonderful to be able to use it year round It’s not heated so it can be chilly but the kid didn’t care much and gladly swam for an hour Will definitely stay here again

Very clean with everything functional Hard to believe it at a Marriott you have to think of that We checked in here after leaving the Element – another Marriott brand

The two are not really comparable other than the brand Marriott SpringHill place lives up to the brand Elements is more Red Roof in ambiance than anything else The employees here seem more professionalYou got to really read the google reviews and the most recent ones since the industry is having so much difficulty

If I could give 0

I would give 0! I got to the hotel after traveling 2 flights, 1 train ride and 2 users Arriving at 11:15pm I called hotel early in day and said I would be in late They said no problem Get in and they say the hotel is sold out I say I have a reservation and had it for 3 days! I’m here on bereavement and the woman had not a care in the world I asked to speak to a manager and they had to call her She was on phone saying I’m not on duty and basically didn’t want to help The girl behind the counter Alia I think kept talking over me and being very rude Then another girl came on duty and the other girl Alia walked out and left very abruptly The girl who came in Melanie helped me get a room 25 mins away but they wouldn’t get me a ride there She called the manager and the manager Jacklyn said just keep a receipt Why should I have to put anything OUT at all I am here after all this travel and they are basically throwing me out to the curb I want my points back, I want to be reimbursed for my suffering waiting in this lobby for over an hour after all day grieving and travel This should have never have happened and I should have gotten a call early in the day! I should be transfered to hotel with their expense What a complete disaster and poor management!!

Would never stay at this hotel again!! There for my sons wedding Should have realized what I was dealing with when they gave the bridal suite to one of the other guest at check in More than 24 hours after check out, they tapped my credit card again for approximately $300 and can give me no explanation whatsoever what this charge is for…fraud?? What they have mastered is the art of “a manager will speak with you later tomorrow “

You didn’t take my money out “tomorrow “ so why do I have to wait to get detail of charge?? The rooms were all left in impeccable condition at check out They were not staffed for wedding after party and guests were waiting 30+ minutes to get a single drink Very unorganized to say the least Their service did not meet basic necessity Half of the rooms had no hair dryer, none of the rooms had refrigerators or microwaves I will certainly be speaking to the wedding venue who referred us there to inform them of the disgraceful manner in which they treat their guests Maybe time to connect with a hotel that reflects their upscale values and the Westin Mt Laurel is bottom of the scale in my opinion as well as many of our guests

Jennifer Kim

There were several opportunities for the hotel to make my husband’s stay right No steps were taken If 6 of your housekeeping staff called in sick – if should probably call your guests to let them know check in would be delay or find different accommodations

But that wasn’t done My husband arrived at 5 pm – well after check in time Took over 40 minutes for him to get “checked in” to an in uncleaned room He just needed to take a shower before going to a family event and was told by the time he came back the room would be cleaned He arrived back at the hotel around 2am Room still hadn’t been cleaned There was no call from the hotel to let him know So he went to the front desk No solution was provided so he slept in an unclean roomSo then I call the hotel in the morning and spoke with a Carolina – told me she was a manager She seemed sympathetic and offered points Stated that it would take a couple of days to adjust I wait the requisite number of days No points Called back the hotel – she’s on vacation so I asked to be transferred to the customer service line Spoke to a rep on the phone and was told no points had been entered in nor had any notes been added Got to a supervisor who was rude, spoke over me and hung upWorst experience ever

Logan Smith

DO NOT STAY HERE This place ruined my wedding day from start to finish The front desk lady with greasy red hair was beyond pathetic and extremely rude

Our room block for our wedding guests was so messed up and we could not have been any more embarrassed Our bridal and groomsmen ready rooms were booked on the wrong date and had to be moved last minute, the fault of solely the hotel My husband was promised his things would not be touched and when we returned to pick them up, they were thrown in another room This hotel has no respect for its guest and honestly should be shut down It’s completely run down and the rooms are dingy Do yourself a favor and run the other way from this property You too, will have the worst stay of your life I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone We were charged multiple times for our rooms because the front desk has no idea what they are doing STAY AWAY

Affordable and comfortable place to stay on business Its not fancy but has the comforts of home you would expect to find The cleaning service does a great job and the free breakfast is okay

I’ve stayed in some that were worse and some that were better Highlights are ; the staff is friendly and helpful , the building could use some work and a 20oz drink is almost 4 dollars at the desk, also there’s some remodeling going on so there construction materials everywhere

This was by far our favorite Hyatt on our trip The rooms are always consistent at Hyatt What made the difference was the staff

Excellent breakfast buffet each day Consistently had great coffee (strong but not too strong) and the management had the best set up with 3 different coffee stations with all the supplies needed so multiple people can get coffees at the same time They were always restocking items so you rarely waited for anything They also consistently had oatmeal, yogurt, and fresh fruit cut up and added blueberries and other fresh fruit They did the best job of rotating the warm breakfast items as well The staff were friendly and helpful Our room was kept clean while we stayed for the week Hyatt should use this hotel as example for others

The staff is amazing! Everyone was so helpful, they would go out of the way to help me out! The room was perfect, I went there to take my exam and as I had requested I was given the exact room, rather better! Everyone was so cooperative all alongTanisha was the best there, she and Justin were always a great help to me and made the best coffee for me I highly recommend this place, it’s amazing

Had the best experience with hyatt till date

Great!!Parking is easy and access to New York City is excellent The bus stop right in front of the hotel will take you to Manhattan in 20 minutes The bus costs less than $10 round trip per adult

The complimentary breakfast was better than expected and included orange banana apple and other fruits, orange juice apple juice milk, coffee, tea, bread, waffles, yogurt, sausage, scrambled eggs, and cerealI speak poor English but all the staff were smiling and patient with me Check-in and check-out procedures were smoothI also asked in advance about amenities and was answered instantly, which was very helpful The rooms were spacious and clean The room was in front of the elevator, so I could hear people talking, but I was tired from sightseeing and fell asleep right away, so it was not a problem We had a worthwhile stay with our children

We stayed for 4 nights Parking was right next door and access to public transportation to NYC was close and easy Front desk staff were kind and helpful

My main issue was the elevator There are 2 elevators and one was never in function On the morning we were checking out, the elevator was out of service Our room was on the fourth floor and we are a family of 5 We had so much stuff to lug down the stairs It was very frustratingThe cleaning person did not make our beds either They took the trash and our dirty towels and gave us new ones thoughBreakfast was not fully stocked, especially the muffins We could only grab 2 muffins a day because they did not replenish them I’m sure it doesn’t help when customers hoard food The guy in front of me one morning stuffed 16 hard boiled eggs into a “to go” bag and grabbed another bag to stuff bread into But it was still frustrating because there were 5 of us and everyone wanted to have a muffin Small complaint but it was still disappointingOverall, I was disappointed with the hotel We love Hyatt Place and have stayed at many different ones across the country We have never had any issues before

This is old review “Feb 22 to 24, 2017”, was over from Ireland and stayed here for a few days, really enjoyed my stay, people were nice, rooms were spacious clean, nice breakfast, had a problem with my card on arrival helped me get through it, there is a bus outside the door into Penn Station pretty cheap and only 20 mins, keep my bag safe when I wanted to do a little exploring of the city behind the desk after check out and even dropped me to the train station for free when I was heading to the airport heading to Florida for a few days before home If I’m that way again I will probably if not definitely be staying here Thanks for all your help at the time

Wonderful really went above and beyond Thanks again

The evening bartender was a solid 5 – kind, friendly, efficient and attentiveThe front desk worker was disappointing because of some billing errors and because he would not split incidentals off of a company card and put them on my card Despite several requests he refused and told me it was not possible

After checking out, I called back and was able to do it over the phone with him FrustratingAlso, lighting in the rooms was poor and unlike the photos presentedReally good food too In fact, everyone in the restaurant was fantastic

It looks like your typical Marriot, clean rooms, large entrance hall, bar, lounge ample parkingMy issue is that this place has no electric vehicle chargers which I feel is a must for any new construction This hotel was built in 2018 and they put no electric vehicle chargers? How is the world meant to transition to electric vehicles, when new hotels don’t care enough to include doors with that included? Also for a new construction I was surprised at how paper thin the walls were at I could hear other rooms every night

Not the same ones so you could day I just had lots neighbors Different people at different timesFinally I have pictures of how the outlets next to the night stands just come straight up They aren’t fixed in the stands or anything That is poor workman shipOverall it is clean and looks good, so if those details don’t bother you, your stay will be great However I can’t give a higher rating to a place that isn’t trying better

Jim Anderschat

Two forms of GPS may be necessary in finding this property! Why on Earth would they build a hotel buried behind office complexes, I don’t know But, if you find it, a decent hotel! Like all Courtyards, no included breakfast, everything comes at a priceThe room was nice, but my problem with this hotel is the location

If you want to go out to eat, you will need a car as this place is the last stop on the tracks, surrounded by offices and highways No good walking available Doubt we would stay here again Good if you work in the nearby offices

The thermostat wasn’t working when I got into my room and the room wasn’t ready for my check in time The black out curtains didn’t close all the way and the amenities room (laundry room, deck eating) are not connected to the digital key, which made me need to obtain a plastic key as well The response to needing assistance was the quickest I have had and my issues were addressed with speed and friendly staff

Staff has offered intimate and detailed information on which bus routes to use to get where and the easiest way to do the little things as well as some fun tourist options that were meaningful to them The top floor has a nice view, if very distant, of Manhattan and it doesn’t have the building cluster of the inner city Nice happy medium Staying on the top floor at the end give the best view for price The bar is very small but they had a snack, soup and salad, and cheese platter section available to go with the hotel bar’s 5pm-10pm service time Overall, I would say it’s a decent bang for your buck if you don’t want to be in the thick of it The business center on the main floor has lots of open spaces and plenty of comfortable looking chairs to lounge in The gym is rather small, but it does have a decent selection of equipment

Our stay here was excellent Our room was decent It was clean, they are on the small side and the bathrooms should have vents but other than that it was excellent

The staff was courteous, professional and efficient The breakfast options were varied and the coffee was good The breakfast eating areas were very nice The parking was convenient Because we were staying more than five days we did not have to pay $15 per day parking fee The hotel is right at the highway exit which was great Will definitely stay here again

We stay at this Hampton Inn many times since we have family in the area We haven’t stayed there in almost 2 years because of Covid Wow how it has changed we arrived around 6PM there were 3 people at front desk and 4 families waiting to check in Only one waiting on customers

We waited 10 minutes and checked in ready to go park our car when the employee told us about a $1500 per night parking fee No mention of that on the website I booked on He told us we could park across the highway at the Hilton It was dark and 25 degrees outside we paid the fee Staff needs to work on customer service Hotel and rooms were very clean and modern Went to go to the pool and was told they don’t supply towels We had to use our bath towels Needless to say I am not paying 15000 a night and have to pay $1500 a night to park and no extra towels for the pool One bright spot was a great free breakfast buffet with very friendly staff keeping everything full

The hotel is quite modern and has no smoke smell The hotel is clean and tidy My only issues with the hotel are they did not have a complimentary breakfast nor did the room I stayed in have a refrigerator or microwave

Also, the gym was not available If the hotel is charging normal high rates then they should have other services included instead of cutting other services Another issue I had was with the nighttime front desk attendant – Medium height, African American middle-aged female She was quite rude and did not try to accommodate my needs when it was already pre-booked a few days earlier and she was very rude when I tried to resolve the issue with her Would probably not stay here again if the issues are not fixed

I was on a vacation to Boston, New York and New Jersey recently I lived in Basking Ridge many years back in late 1990’s and having known the area and close to Hindu Temple in Bridgewater, booked a room in Delta Hotels by Marriott, Basking Ridge It was a very pleasant experience for my wife and me

Location is excellent, nice greenery view from window, no noise and very peaceful Front staff were gracious and helpful Room service was great, though it is done on request due to COVID situation Room was very spacious, clean, very clean and upgraded bathroom, great mattress, pillows and sheets and towels, nice climate controlling unit in the room Quality toiletries were provided Had great rest sleeping on the very comfy mattress!! Morning complimentary coffee was good Free water bottles were provided For the price we paid, it is well worth it Wish we had more time to stay few more days at this hotel Overall, we had a great memorable stay!! Probably the best after Wynn Resort in Las Vegas and better than the other Marriott and Sheraton Hotels we stayed during this trip in Boston and New York I was able to see the places I used to go back in the days around Basking Ridge and reminded pleasant memories All the towns, Hindu temple close by make this location very ideal I strongly recommend anyone coming to visit the temple from out of state and planning to stay overnight or few days to definitely stay at the Delta Hotel in Basking Ridge One can appreciate the real beauty of New Jersey towns around this hotel after seeing the horrible places like Newark, Jersey City, Oranges etc!!

The general manager (who comped us a breakfast after the people in the room next door had been partying all night) and the restaurant staff seem to be the only people there who know what they are doingFire alarm went off on Thursday evening; guy at the front desk was walking around laughing and filming with his phone instead of directing guests to proper staging area or even checking if everyone was safe Fire brigade arrived after about 10 minutes and then left without any staff making an effort to inform guests it was safe to come back in

Other person behind front desk seemed supremely disinterested and only gave an explanation after being asked Apparently a malfunction was the reason, as it happened again 10 minutes after and in some rooms they were apparently unable to shut it off only after an hour No apologies whatsoever were offered, only a half-hearted offer to move us to another room, which makes absolutely zero difference if the alarm goes off in the entire hotel Note that we were traveling with a 2-year-old as well, who we had to take out of bed and rush out with several times Again, zero apologies offered for the inconvenience Alarm went off twice more the next day, apparently due to a test which was not announced beforehandGeneral lack of service: no responses to several messages we sent through Bookingcom app before arriving to ask for a baby bed Luckily they did have one, but had to take it up to the room myself, and saw several other people walking around with hotel luggage carts, which would suggest severe staffing shortageFood options in the restaurant were either not available or not prepared as advertised (vegetarian burger was not available, grain bowl was not prepared as listed on the menu), though I suspect this is more due to issues with supplies than with staffBathroom had black mold on the ceiling, housekeeping seemed very understaffed, did not always empty trash cans and never removed dirty glasses we took up from the bar on the first night Water leaking from the ceiling in the restaurant and lobby areasPoolside was full of discarded cups, trash and clothing when I wanted to take my daughter for a swim one morningDry-cleaning service is not available on the premises (I realize it is not explicitly stated that it is) but outsourced to a local dry-cleaners, which would take 3-4 days when we asked for it To their credit, they did provide an alternative after we insisted that that was too longAll in all most of the staff seemed either utterly disinterested in their jobs or in dire need of hospitality training

Made reservation online May 6Tried to add a night on May 10Was directed to the property to make the change

Called the property and spoke with front desk about changes Was told, on May 10, that the changes were made and we were good Got confirmation e-mail 4 days before trip and I see the dates are wrongCall the property and speak with a manager whoo explains to me that the employee who made my changes never actually did anything and now they are booked solid and can do nothing I asked if there was another property near that we could move to I was told that this is a franchise and not linked to other Marriots ???Call Marriot corporate and they too were helpless I then spent over 1k to change flightsThe Worst Customer Service

The place is very clean, modern and well maintained The staff was accommodating and friendly The room was really nice and spacious but cozy

Bathroom amenities were Paul Mitchel and I greatly appreciated those There was a great variety of breakfast foods available in the morning which was wonderful This hotel got all the details right even down to the smallest of details! There is also a delicious smelling restaurant right across the street that sadly I didn’t get to try but the next time I am out here I will absolutely be looking forward to it!

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at We had booked 50 plus rooms for two nights and the service was the worst we have ever seen and this is coming from someone who works in the hotel industry We had booked a meeting room for all the people who were staying in the hotel and our count for people attending went up to 80 therefore; she told us to use the lobby

The hotel has a bar but on purpose they don’t open it so they can charge people to have a bar open The bartender the hotel gave us had no bartending experience as he didn’t know how to make a martini or a Moscow mule He was supposed to be there from 5:30 to 10:30 and he was missing in action from 7:30 onward When I went to inquire, he was hiding in the back and said if he wanted noise he would work in a club One of the guests (who was not affiliated with us) said I know people and you can get fired and he ran with that saying we threatened himThe GM, the next day said I need to speak to you and we didn’t tip the bartender She claims she had to comp $5,000 worth of room revenue which is a lie because we had occupied 60 rooms Why would you put other guest in the middle of all the rooms At the end of the night when we came back from our event we decided to go to Tap house 2020 and we were told that the hotel called and said we were too rowdy and not to accept our wedding block I came back to the hotel and when we confronted the GM Melinda, she denied it When my nephew went up to speak to the front desk about why they called the tap house 2020, the GM came out and said I am tired of everyone coming and asking me questions and she is calling the cops Are you serious, the hotel does not know how to handle a large crowd The hotel should not host any wedding room block You can’t threaten to call the police when someone is asking question and you don’t feel like answering The GM and the staff ruined our happy day and upset the bride and the groom
