First time I’ve ever given 5 stars to a hotel but this one was excellent (and we travel monthly) VERY clean and updated The breakfast was not a huge buffet but sufficient, fresh and well made

We really enjoyed it The staff were very nice and friendly The keurig coffee bar in the room was a wonderful touch away from home Would only stay there when in the area

Brittani Sabourin

The staff was really friendly! The hotel overall was really clean There was a towel with possibly puke on it in the elevator last night, and still this morning But aside from that the entire place was clean

The beds and pillows are so nice! We were woken up at 2 am our first night with drunk jerks being loud, and then around midnight our second night with a group of people loudly trying to find a room Then this morning we had some kids screaming and being loud at 7 am So we didn’t get much sleep at all, but it’s not the hotels fault Only thing I recommend is changing up the breakfast a little Maybe sausage one day and bacon the next, or have some hash browns one day

chris miller

Fantastic from the front desk to house keeping to the people who run the cafe area in the Morning Great room clean , the manger should be proud of the staff Only thing that sucks is trying to find parking late at night

I would always stay in this hotel when I need one by far best in Monroe for price only thing I would change here is a tad bit faster Wi-Fi still good but it should be a lot faster for how good this place looks inside and out

Sleep Inn Matthews-Charlotte customer service was poorMy stay at Matthews, NC Overall Feedback:Highly Disappointed Issues include: 1

Toilet not working Wobbles when seated Runs continuously Requires long hold to clear the bowl 2 Towel ring separated from wall while reaching for a hand towel 3 Window had no locks which compromised room safety 4 TV worked intermittently Froze on a channel remote failed to work 5 Faucet loose during operation 6 AC not adequate for Charlotte humidity 7 Asked to change rooms and was told it was sold out when minutes earlier rooms were available on top floor 8 Room service never came today 7/23 to clear trash or provide fresh towels I took pics I am requesting a partial refund for this terrible experience I could go on and on but you get the point No lounge chairs at the pool so it’s a waste of a trip to the pool Continental breakfast was atrocious Don’t waste your money it’s not worth 5000 a night let alone the 9800 that we paid

Judy Orr

*Room not ready*Entire hallway blocked with shampooing equipment*only a half roll of toilet paper in room&overcharged for pet after indicating the change was for 1 night*Don’t slum here Go to a better neighborhood, newer hotel, better kept location

We had 1 night stay here The location of the hotel appeared to be safe, was quiet The interiors appeared to be renovated a few years ago, were polished and clean

Despite the COVID time, they were able to provide some hot breakfast The minor issue is that the shower water was not very hot, but was acceptable after turning the valve of hot water to the maximum (zero cold water mixed) Overall, I would recommend this hotel

Christy Morgan

Staff was exceptional, Shanta made checking in easy and was very accommodating The facility itself was pleasant and clean, some things may have been in need of update, but nothing concerning Rooms were clean and comfortable, the pool was a nice touch

Paris the manager,,or assistant manager was truly agem and I’m so glad we stayed there

Owen Laurie

We had a reservation at another hotel and were so disappointed in the quality that we cancelled upon arrival and switched to this Fairfield location The concierge was an absolute sweetheart and helped us to secure a room for that night with outstanding service Room quality was wonderful, the room was even scented when we walked in

Very pleased with our stay

I checked in here as my flight was delayed by 24 hours There was no catering facilities or anything nearby All that was available was a pizza delivery or chips and snacks from the lobby

Rooms were spacious and very clean All the team were very helpful and friendly Unfortunately the walls are paper thin I could hear the man next door snoring so loudly and talking the next morning I was too tired to request a room change Good value for money too

Always “Call Me Effy” Effy

We had a Nice stay There’s an outdoor Pool and Rooms wBalconies that overlook the pool area Room was spacious, Big TV, big beds, and a nice size Bathroom

It was very clean ONLY downside isIDK what happen to the continental breakfast we walked thru just to see what they had but Only the little restaurant was open This was a Lovely stay and super convenient to EVERYTHING!! perfect location

Andy

Great little hotel – hidden gem in Southpark They’ve updated the exterior and interior to give it a bit of an updated facelift The interior pool area and courtyard is perfect

Great little grass areas for chilling, a fire pit, lots of tables with umbrellas, and a great pool with lots of lounge chairs I almost hate to leave this review, because it’s such a chill spot and I don’t want to share it with anyone! Lol We live in Charlotte, but it’s one of our favorite staycation hotels Get a first floor room with a patio and a walkout to the pool and courtyard

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in It’s right in the middle of Charlotte’s downtown and walking distance from highly rated restaurants and fun things to do like the science museum In the room we had the view was fantastic

You have to pay for parking but we didn’t need to drive most places because the location is so walkableEveryone we interacted with was very nice and accommodating You can tell that the staff are proud of the hotel At night they had cookies out and you can enjoy some very good free tea and coffee any timeThe rooms are amazing I stayed with my husband in the Premier Room, which has one queen bed The furniture was in good condition, very classy but not old There are charging outlets for different types of devices The TV was very nice and had a good sound system A few times I felt like I could hear my neighbors a little bit it wasn’t bad Also I love the shower It had a horizontal showerhead thing so you could get two sources at once Water pressure was greatSo yeah we loved it! Hope we can stay again some day

Chelsea

My sister and I were in town for a girl’s night We booked a room at the Dunhill through a third party, at a discounted rateWe enjoyed our stay! The lady at the front desk was very helpful and kind

Parking was super easy There’s a garage right behind it and you grab a ticket and they validate it at the front desk There’s a bar in the lobby The room was small but in a quaint-has everything you need-kind of way Very clean I would look into staying again!

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during out trip to the spectrum stadium The entire place was clean on a extraordinary level The staff was incredibly nice and informative

We can’t wait to come back! Price was beyond fair for the across the street walk to the stadium Breakfast was delicious and the staff are hard workers and personable We come from a small town and we got that feeling in this giant city because of this place Don’t miss out Just book it!

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any place This site will compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the most well known in the area

I have been staying here for a long time If you stay for a few nights you won’t be disappointedBilly Eilish concert was going on and they were swamped! Line was wrapped around the block to get to check in Housekeeping was trying to clean rooms to get people in but they were way behind It took 90 minutes to get to the front of the line To be told they could take down our name and call when a room was ready Not acceptable as had a reservation I asked for compassion as was my nieces birthday please check again We got a room!! I thanked the overwhelmed young lady at the desk and tipped her! She was an Angel!!! Be nice to these hospitality workers they really are doing a great job despite trying circumstances!!

h

A really wonderful hotel Rooms were large and clean and fully equipped with all the amenities for a comfortable trip – fridge, microwave, coffee maker, desk, pullout bed, etcThe staff here was superb – everyone I spoke to was very helpful and always kind and welcoming

Especially the lovely gal who runs the delicious breakfast – her warm welcome each morning made it feel very homeyThe only con for this location is that it is next to the rail station and you can often hear the bells as the train approaches It also means this location is conveniently located, you can hop on the train to south end for more shopping and eating – but just something to be aware of if you’re not a sound sleeper

Brittany –

The lobby and restaurant were super clean, nice, staff was very friendly and helpful All rooms are accessible only by the elevator that requires your room card to access The room smelled clean, and was pretty clean (not as Sparkling as I expected with the lobby, but not dirty)

Bed was comfy but the blankets were kinda thin and the heat took a while to warm upBe aware this is located on a busy street and you can definitely hear when people are revving the engine and speeding, so if that makes it hard for you to sleep, maybe see if they have ear plugs?)

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your stay They compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in the area

I have been staying here for years If you decide to stay here you definitely won’t be disappointedThe staff is super friendly and fun The room was clean – pretty typical hotel room This hotel is near a lot of food/bad options and is great if you are in town for a nearby event I did not take advantage of room service and cannot speak to the food but everything else is an A+

Iommed Gotjis

I came to Charlotte with a 96 year old It took him 20 minutes to get from the parking garage to the lobby I don’t think a single brain cell was spent designing this hotel’s parking area

How the heck is my companion supposed to get from his car to his rooms without a heart attack? The farce then got even better $22 a day to park in a garage you have to walk a quarter mile to reach And get this: we went downstairs and asked where breakfast was Lobby staff pointed us to a room and we sat down and ate at the buffet They then billed the two of us $43 Are you kidding me? For the price we paid for the room—which I would describe as thoroughly average— we absolutely shouldn’t be paying for both parking AND breakfast, at ludicrous prices The one good thing about this hotel was supposed to be the location, but if you’re old or otherwise handicapped then the parking garage gets a 0/10 on locationJust ridiculous

Really nice hotel and staff The room was clean, well equipped, and quiet for a Saturday night The manager was very kind and helped me get a room when my flight was delayed and all the rooms in the area were sold out

Complimentary breakfast was also very good with a wide selection The room I stayed in also had a microwave which was very convenient

Amy Tilson

This is the worst Hampton Inn I’ve ever stayed at We chose this location specifically because of the rating Rooms 216-219 are located next to openings above the lobby

You can hear everything!! I had to call the front desk at 11:45 pm to ask that persons in the lobby quiet down They did not do this of their own volition The hallway is also stifling hot in that location due to the openings Breakfast was very limited compared to other Hampton Inns and of a much lesser quality than expected Rooms were similar to other Hampton Inns, except the bathroom doors faced into the sleeping are instead of the entry That is an awkward placement consodering they are sliding barn doors and don’t close completely as is I would NOT stay at this location again

Amy King (The Real Estate Lady)

Was in town on business and stayed too late to drive 25 hours home, so, last minute, Hampton Inn it is My stay was great! Staff was great, hotel was in great condition, room was comfortable and breakfast the next day was just right to get me on my way

As a Hilton Honors member I’ve stayed at my share of hotels I’ve stayed at more than a few Hampton Inns and this one was by FAR, the best!

The property feels quite new and is well maintained The rooms are quite spacious and the kitchen and living area makes it feel quite comfortableThe check-in process was quick and efficient even though we reached the property quite late

The laundry service at the property did not have half the machines working, and the ones that were working, were not effective Anyways, coming back to the room The bathroom, kitchenette, bed were all of high quality We enjoyed our one night stay at this property

I enjoyed my stay at Hyatt House The guest service was friendly, staff friendly, rooms were homey and breakfast was okWhen I checked in I wasn’t informed of the free dinner tasting or the shuttle runs by the lady host but she was relieved of her position shortly after my arrival

I also spoke with the manager about the monthly rate, he said they were sold out until June but they are advertising available rooms that let you book online throughout the entire month when he said they were booked Maybe he was misinformed I’m going to contact him and get clarityOverall, It was a great stay and I would recommend

I have reasonable hotel standards, but slow draining tubs and broken air conditioners just irritate me at a place that should be this nice These massive hotel corporations are great at keeping up appearances and providing mediocre service veiled by paint and bedspreads If the location were different, I’d say this is over-priced

Given its location I’ll give it a pass, but this could ultimately be summed-up as a stereotypical over-priced cookie cutter interstate-side shoebox hotel Perfect to get a good night’s rest and get on with your lifeI don’t want a refund or any reciprocation My only ask is that they fix the A/C and treat their employees fairly Staff deserve fair treatment and enough help too I have deep respect for hospitality and customer facing workers

Angie Stone

The check-in process was absolutely amazing and painless Our room was extremely clean and we really enjoyed the bottled water and treats that were prepared for us Was great to have a hair dryer and a Keurig with coffee pods in the room

Oh and a refrigerator is a must! But I will say do your check in before you enter that parking garage! You must have your room key in order to proceed past the drop gate!

Timothy Ingram

This location is prime! It’s really close to the entertainment venues, has front door access to the light rail system and is really nice inside the structure The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and the rooms are spacious and modern to add to the experience As with most Hilton properties this location has everything you need or expect from a DoubleTree and a destination lodging location

Parking is located next door in a garage, the only drawback is there is not connection within the building, you have to walk outside to get back and forth Otherwise, a top lodging recommendation for this area! Enjoy your stay

We booked a King room and it was a very big room but it smelled musty and felt wet We cranked the AC to help and after a while it did but we had to the same thing each day when returning to the room after being out all dayThe shower didn’t drain so we were in standing in water while showering

And we had zero room service We had to go get fresh towels and tpIt was disappointing because we booked the hotel based on the reviews and ratings of othersNow, the location was great and I thought the breakfast offered enough to give you a good start and the attendants kept it stocked And the front staff were nice So, some positives but still the stay fell below our expectations

Lovely staff, all of them I encountered were professional but still warm and personable Pretty clean Dogs allowed-I could smell dog in the lobby a little but a worthwhile trade to me, but if you’re sensitive to it you will notice

Personally so long as there are no physical remnants I’m happy, and it was nice and clean Sink and shower drains a little slow, happens with older rooms, but the toilets were no problem at all Cozy interiors, AMAZING mattresses Room clean, odor free, thoroughly checked, and the worst I could find was the vacuuming could be a little more careful around corners It’s got to be a top notch resort to get a full 5 from me This was an excellent hotel I will be back, likely often

David Stoller

HiltonI made the mistake of choosing this hotel again after a bad experience before This time of course disappointed yet again I choose that there were 2 adults and a child

Yet all there was in the room was a bed and no pull out or couch even The digital key wouldn’t work and no one would answer the phone just like the previous stay I walk down to the desk and an employee is standing there right beside the phone I get a key and go in the room to find the sleeping issues On top of that the quilt is barely thicker than the sheet with very little warmth to it This was ridiculous I call to ask for a cot, of course they don’t have any He tells me there should be a pull out yet there isn’t He says he will call me back but never does 30 min later I call back to yet again no one answering the phone for 5 minutes I walk down and there he stands I ask about the issues of the cot and he says they haven’t been able to find one yet he is just standing there h another employee just behind the wall He acts like he is trying to find another room for us but isn’t actually doing anything for 15 minutes while I stand there I ask for a bunch of blankets so I can make my daughter a bed on the floor and he hands be 2 cheap rough blankets I ask if there are any comforters or something I can get to lay down and he says that is all he has I am beyond ill and fed up with this hotel and Hilton Honors I need to go to bed and I need rest for tomorrowThen they charge my card again and when I call about it they have a very bad attitude and talk down to me

David Harrington

Asked to leave the restaurant area due to having a service animal

Tried to explain that’s against ADA regs and the clerk asked what the regs say Well if you don’t know maybe you shouldn’t try to enforce an illegal rule Then he said I have an attitude OK even if I do you probably should keep that to yourself since you are in the hospitality businessI attached a photo of some of the regs so maybe the manager and staff will educate themselves Probably not but its worth a shot

I must say that this is NOT what I expected from a Holiday Inn Property First let me say that my room was clean, comfortable, and well attended But this Hotel it totally lacking in customer service

Upon arrival there was a line of 5 other parties waiting to check-in There were two employees behind the counter but only one attending to guests The other employee was on her cell phone Finally, after about 10-minutes the employee who was on her cell phone ended her conversation and began checking guest into the hotel From the time I arrived until I finished the checking in was about 20-minutes When it was my turn to check-in I was NOT greeted in any fashion or made to feel welcome The only acknowledgment was “I need your credit card and ID” After a few minutes I received what amounted to a two-minute lecture on “proper conduct” and the Hotel Quiet Time I also got a breakfast order slip and was told that in order from me to receive a grab and go bag breakfast I had to fill it out and place it in a tray at the front desk by 10 pm sharp, “Not 10:05” Then I was handed a two page “Welcome Letter” with my key The second page of the letter once again dealt with “Quiet Time” and was basically a written version of the lecture I had just received All of this before I even got to my room Once in my room I found it to be clean and well attended The bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well and served my needs However due to the total lack of customer service I will not return to this hotel on future visits to the Charlotte area

Very friendly and helpful We were able to find accommodations that were handicap accessible Free breakfast that included eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, bagels, etc

very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms We really enjoyed our stay My only complaint was that they do need more carts, there were only 3 and they always seemed to be in use Had a problem with a truck parking in a handicap spot that had no tag or placard in sight but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault

Room service is very spotty Sign says you can get your room cleaned on request However we requested it several days and got service once in a 6 day stay

Had to go to desk for fresh towels when neededBreakfast was fair but they close it up at 10am period Regardless of people in line 2 different days arrived at 945a and food was essentially out flipped the switch

I absolutely love this place I stayed two weekends in a row! The first weekend I was extremely upset because I took my children to swim for the weekend and they were unable to do so because some kids bullying my son! Melissa came down personally to make sure my son was okay But MSLILLIE IS OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!!! She comforted my son and make him feel so much better and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed

It was only because of her that we came back for my son’s birthday on 4/16 our stay was way better this time around and we were looking forward to seeing her smile at breakfast! She is absolutely amazing and she definitely saved me as a customer because before her I didn’t want to stay there ever again!!!!! She is definitely and asset to the quality inn brand! We love MsLillie ❤️❤️❤️

Great price for the location to go to Carowinds The pool is alright, not very spacious but it was enough to satisfy the children We got the room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa, it was the most spacious room we’ve had for that combination in the last few years of taking vacations with the kids

Breakfast has a great variety!

We have used this hotel a couple of times for full week large group training We have had to make numerous adjustments during the weeks (aka last minute), and they have been extremely accommodating The catered food options are delicious, and the sales, front desk, and event staff are super attentive and friendly

There is a fabulous balcony next to the meeting rooms (shady but nice and breezy), and the pool deck is also very nice There are tons of places to eat, shopping, and most anything else you might need within walking distance to the hotel, so there’s no need to rent a car for the week We have definitely been pleased

I stayed one night over St Patrick’s Day The hotel is what one would expect for a Hilton Garden Inn They have always been very professionally run in my experience

I enjoy having room on 7th floor as it was nice views The room was very nice It had large shower and large room The bed was very comfortableI liked the bar in the lobby They had good selection of beers including some local brews The prices were very reasonable Parking is convenient to the hotelThe staff was friendly although there was not a ton of interaction as I’ve gotten accustomed to self check in and digital key on the Hilton Honors app I really like just going directly to my room without having to interact with people or wait in any lines
