We spent one night at the Courtyard recently I loved this hotel The room we stayed in was large and really nice

The bed was comfortable and the down comforter along with a strong air conditioner gave us a great sleepThe only small knock against this hotel is the location It was easy enough to get wherever we wanted to go – the hotel is less than a block from the NoMa station on the red line So that part wasn’t bad But the neighborhood was under a lot of construction, and didn’t appear to be among the safer neighborhoods in DC Also, because of the construction, getting to the hotel was a bit of a challenge The directions given by it GPS included what would have been illegal left turns, so we had to go a long way around to make our way It was all a little confusing But once we got there we were able to park the car and take the Metro everywhere we wanted to go, so it wasn’t a big issueThe rate on the room was really reasonable, the service was good and the folks at the reception desk were both very nice and very helpful We would happily stay here again

To start, the valet parking is outrageous but there is a garage literally right down the same road for about a third the price The staff is super friendly Housekeeping would speak to us and ask if we needed anything as we headed to the elevators

Everyone was always saying, Have a good day” The amenities within the hotel room were good We checked the sheets and filters and all was clean Sheets are super thin but worked out okay Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink/bar All the you need I like the security they have coming in It is a two minute walk to the Metro (red line) Would recommend for location being close to a walking path and the Metro

Stayed here for 4 days Overall my stay was great My stay included breakfast

This hotel is great in terms of service and kind staff As for the breakfast, it’s not an open buffet style They have a menu and customer choose from it Though the choices were limited, we enjoyed every breakfast dish we tried Chef Mo is an excellent chef excited these dishes in a fine great way Ladies tacking the orders also were very friendly and helpful As for the location, it’s a 15-20 min walk to the convention center and a little bit more to reach the attractions near to it The only thing they need to add is an airport shuttle which currently not available Enjoyed the toiletries with the refreshing lemon smell Overall, thank you guyz for the great stay

The staff at this hotel deserves an award! Every person I met was so helpful and friendly My room was very clean, the check-in process was seamless, and storing/picking up my luggage after checkout took less than one minute each way I was staying there for work and not focused on my hotel stay, but the incredible staff really made me stop and appreciate how nice it was

I would highly recommend choosing this hotel over others in the same price range if you’re planning a trip to National Harbor Thank you for a lovely stay and kudos to the staff and management!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hampton We were greeted and welcomed by a lovely front desk clerk I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but I wanted to lift her up

She was pleasant, professional and polite We arrived prior to check in and was pleasantly surprised that our room was ready The room and bathroom was clean and airy and it came equipped with a microwave/refrigerator The beds were super comfortable Breakfast was good, I personally don’t eat huge breakfast but all the amenities were in place to do so I loved the surrounding area, shops, restaurants etc etc We will definitely return Thank you Hampton Inn & Suites for a pleasant stay!!!

The hotel had only one operating elevator average wait time was 5 minutes We opted for parking validation for the three nights we stayed However we ended up having to pay an extra $15 because our parking card was cut early

When presented to the manager, the best she could offer us was to call the parking garage owner There’s no number on the ticket or on St George’s site to contact anyone Our bathroom was not clean there was hair in the shower and on the floor The hotel offered no way to get change for the washer and dryer The best they could tell me was to go to cvs and get change The only good thing about this hotel was the location That’s why I gave them a two We will definitely consider other hotels in the area the next time we visit

My recent experience at the hotel in mid March was quite pleasant The room was clean, decor was fairly up-to-date, beds were comfortable (subjectively), and the bathroom was fairly well maintained The staff were very accommodating and friendly, this includes the cleaning crew (on the 8th floor) who would give you anything you asked for

The pandemic is not over yet, so I liked the idea of not having staff coming in every day People complaint about the thin wall, water pressure and the train I did experience all of the above The thin wall didn’t bother me that much, it’s usually due to loud neighbors For the water pressure, I just waited for the others to finish their use then take my turn, the place was packed at the time and everyone was taking shower at the same time As for the train, the hotel unfortunately situated right next to the track so unless you are a heavy sleeper, the noises could bother some of the guests on the east side We ended up switching to the other side and it was great! The food at the restaurant downstairs was also surprising The taste and the price were comparable to the nearby places, if not cheaper A Starbucks was also attached to the hotel but they do close somewhat early As for the parking, we didn’t have a car, but once I parked at a hotel in downtown Chicago, it was over $100 a night All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will stay again for sure!

Cody Shepard

Location was great although there were not any restaurants or bars in the area Rooftop pool was nice but the hours were limited and there was only a bartender on the weekends We had a baby with us, she loved crawling on the floors, but we found multiple shards of glass and old food crumbs on the carpet (in places that guests would normally be walking, not hidden under furniture or anything)

Otherwise the room was nice Staff was super nice The prices look cheap online but they tack on lots of different fees, like 50$/night parking and $20 for breakfast each day

tabitha buono

Rooms were decent sized Our beds and pillows were AMAZING! The air conditioning was very hard to control We froze the entire time

Also our bathroom had a light out, and only 3 drawers for 2 adults in a double bed room? Had to stay on top of housekeeping too You have to call down every morning if you want fresh towels, etc Even with calling, they still forgot With all that said, I’d stay again The bed and pillows were AMAZING!

It’s currently housing as a shelter we all know I am currently homeless so this place is housing me until I can get placed with my voucher The shelter staff aren’t as snobbish as regular shelter staff, but they still have their own personal attitudes Overall this is a nice hotel really clean smells decent and it’s a nice size and location

Mariana Olivera

This hotel is very convenient in location, 20 minute drive away from the capital of Washington! However, I do not recommend walking around the area if you are not familiar with it Staff was helpful and friendly The complimentary breakfast consisted of fresh cut fruit, oatmeal, bread-based, etc always tasted great

Rooms were clean and the house keeping always provided us with fresh towels My only complaint was about one staff member, very nice guy, but he got too comfortable and approached my partner and I about “going to his house” and “checking out local strip clubs” Very unprofessional conversation

Matthew Schneider

Terrible No water in the gym No towels there

Machines covered in sweat Went to wash my hands in the first floor men’s room and the soap dispenser doesn’t work If you’re driving – forget it The access is impossible I only stay at Marriott properties and have a decent status, and this is the worst I’ve visited Stay away despite it being low cost Nice friendly staff but the place is literally dirty The surrounding area looks quite dangerous and despite location on what looks to be a park, I would not go running there

Absolutely beautiful place All the staff were very friendly and hospitable We were treated very well

I love that your car is locked secure in the garage every night Check out time is NOT at the crack of dawnthe only disappointment was the beautiful pool was closedThe bathroom tile was beautiful and clean Beds were comfy and very cleanLocation, I gave 4 stars only because it was a little bit of a walk to get to the museums But also, it was a nicer quiet area, right across the street from the beautiful Martin Luther Church

Mon L

I am staying here currently with my family I can’t say enough about the warm, friendly front desk staff They treat customers with respect and kindness, and went above and beyond to get us a room suitable for our party

The pool and all the facilities are clean, well cared for and comfortable This hotel is a little bit dated in some parts, but the warm and welcoming vibe makes it worth it Excellent value and I just want to say thanks to the amazing staff who work here

Monica Hasbun

Everything was excellent: the location, the service and the cleanliness I want to thank the front desk staff Treasure, Maya, Joy, Tenisha and Evelyn They were all very pleasant and helpful

I was also very pleased with the thoroughness of the housekeeping staff They did a great job cleaning my room meticulously every day The hotel is very nice, regardless of whether it is updated or some rooms are small, which were comments I read from other reviews The rooms are equipped with a small fridge and a coffee maker, and the coffee provided (from Nicaragua) was delicious I also liked the pizza at the patio restaurant by the pool I ordered half vegetarian and half sausage/pepperoni It is lovely to sit there on a nice day Many of the guests are out in the pool area at all times of day I highly recommend this hotel

The price of the room is what got us to stay here, room was OK However they charged an additional $100 deposit that they mentioned NO WHERE on the website and the desk clerk claimed it would go away once they checked our room upon check out It’s been 3 days and the charge is STILL on my friends account

If we had an extra 100 bucks to throw around we wouldn’t have looked for a cheaper hotel Not everyone can just wait days and days to get that money back these days Especially when our room was left in perfect condition Doubtful we will stay again Even the VERY nice hotels in the harbor don’t charge 100 deposit 🙄

I plan on staying here again when next in the area This hotel stay was great for a number of reasons The desk attendants were polite, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was exactly what I needed to get me going on the morning with good protein options

While the hotel is somewhat worn, it is well maintained and clean My only complaint with the facility is that all entry doors are not useable from the outside except for the lobby entrance This hotel has a lot going for it and only minor “issues” that would not bump this from the top of my list of places to stay in the area

After doing a lot of research for a trip to Quantico, we decided to stay at the Malalo for a few days of down time in the DC area The very first time I called to enquire about room availability, Jorge was more than helpful! He made sure to tell us how to use the train system, where to go for sightseeing, and arrangements to be picked up at the train station Upon arrival, Jorge picked us up and almost immediately, we felt like family! Jorge and Dave went above and beyond! Our stay was peaceful and restful! Jorge’s breakfasts were incredible, to include one in the very early morning hours! His peach syrup is to die for!!!! We had such a great time! We highly recommend the Malalo!!!! Jorge and Dave are people we will stay in touch with!!!! They are great hosts!

I enjoyed my stay here in Malolo Bed and Breakfast immensely George and Dave go above and beyond to provide an exceptional b and b experience The house is beautifully decorated and the room was Huge

The food was Delicious – and the hospitality and warmth is so special I enjoyed so much the company and the joy of good conversation They knew all the ins and outs of DC and gave me good tips when I wanted to visit places – but my experience in the B and B was my favorite part! Highly recommend!

Greg Werner

A wonderful stay! The proprietors, Dave and George, are extraordinarily kind and welcoming My flight got in late, arrived at the b&b just before midnight to a warm Aloha greeting! A peaceful property with a very satisfying array of breakfast items The bed was comfy, the room spacious and quiet

Engaging conversation about what to do, see and how to get around Information overload for this first time visitor to our nation’s capitol I highly recommend staying here, off the beaten path

The hotel was clean and well-maintained Breakfast was decent, typical hotel breakfast It was disappointing that the pool was closed

The website did note this, which I appreciate The room is a fair size and we had all of our amenities The location was good Places to eat were nearby The parking lot was well lit at night Staff was pleasant enough

Duane Shurow

Booked a standard room for my wife and I and an accessible room for my parents They had difficulty finding the accessible room, even though I had a confirmation number Eventually gave us a room on the 4th floor

I asked if it was ‘accessible’ and was told “yes, it’s hearing accessible” Hotel was fully booked and that room was all that was available Thankfully, the room was very very nice and the beds very comfortable – so my parents didn’t mind a little inconvenienceYou are required to leave a separate deposit upon registering that is returned “in 3 to 5 business days” – not a big deal – but a little oddAttempted to charge some snacks to my room and was told that I did not have a card on fileeven though I booked the room with a cardand left a deposit for a cardRoom service was provided, which was appreciated, but did not replace towels or replace the coffeePool is closed indefinitelyNice hotel, good location, very comfortable rooms Would have given this 4 stars but too many of the little things seem to be missing Would probably try them again

The Smoyers

NEVER AGAIN! I cannot believe how rude the staff was First, we took our kids to the pool at 9am (the signs at the pool said open 9a-10p) The door was locked

My husband went to the front desk where the manager was, to which the manager replied that it doesn’t open until 10am My husband questioned why the sign was wrong, and the manager stated he “DOES NOT HAVE TO update the paper”, he “only has to update the time on the website”, and had no plans to fix the sign (it was just a piece of paper printed off of the computer)The next day, I went down to the lobby to request a set of towels My husband and I were traveling with our children, and routine maid service is no longer existent during stays (only available upon request) I asked the woman at the front for 6 bath towels (for our showers that night) and she told me I “DID NOT NEED 6 TOWELS” and that she would only be giving me 4!? When additionally saying I would like one for my hair, she LITERALLY TOLD ME I DID NOT NEED A TOWEL FOR MY HAIR I was completely floored I am still trying to process that this woman spoke to me like a child and told me what I needed and did not need She refused me towels just wow Would she like us to share towels??The hotel is nice, but the level of service was terrible I can’t believe the rudeness coming from two people in the hospitality industry, let alone just two human beings in general

My Insurance company made housing arrangements while work was being performed on my home We stayed here for a month and a half The staff was outstanding from the front desk to housekeeping

It was me, my son and my daughter The room had a fold out bed which my son could use and my daughter took the other room I had the master bedroom with the attached bathroom The kids used the other bathroom with a tub A little wear and tear on the unit but overall it was clean We used the gym, pool, and basketball court I would have given 5 stars but took away a star due to the cabinet door coming off in the kitchen area

Jack Ryan

The room was well laid out and spacious I was left alone, and they had an ok breakfast They get a lower rating because they don’t deal with disruptive guests after a complaint is made

I had to deal with the room above me banging around for several hours because they were, “working out”, while I was trying to type up a report Next time tell them that you have a workout room

K K

Very disappointing Despite being gold elite, we didn’t receive our upgrade We had only three towels despite reserving the room for 4 people

The bathroom door won’t lock, won’t even latch closed The room was not feather free like we requested because of an allergy, so at 9:30 at night I called and asked for feather free pillows and we were told we had to go to the front desk to get pillows However, most of the time there’s an away sign at the front desk The subway station is not a short walk like they advertise After being Marriott members for over a decade this was definitely one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had

It was an awesome time that we had at the Homewood Suites as we celebrated a family gathering and the atmosphere was conducive for this event The front desk staff was attentive and even funny as they made it a greater experience The quality of the upkeep was well worth the time of enjoying this space

So if you are in the DC area and you don’t mind maneuvering all of the 95s in the vicinity then give this location of Homewood Suites a stay!

I called the front desk early, themorning after my stay, to extend myroom for one more night and the front desk confirmed When I returned to my room that evening and used my key to enter my room, all my belongings were gone Front desk said they had given my room to another guest

The manager would not respond byphone or text to the front desk person in charge at that time After competing in a sporting event any being too tired to drive home, I was lefttrying to find another hotel for the night

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in When I checked in the room was not ready and it took 2 additional hours to get into the room while awaiting it to be cleaned 3 hours after my check in When we finally got into the room there were no wash clothes and was told there were none available

There was dried pee on the toilet seat The staff were rude and unprofessional The mattress cover was being used as the comforter I’m assuming because they didn’t have those either There were no options for people who do not eat pork for breakfast They ran out of syrup for the waffles 2 hours before breakfast was finished

Mixed feelings… Making the reservation and getting an accurate rate – then confirming the rate – through IHG was a NIGHTMARE I spent over two hours total on the phone and talked with five different people to get things straightMy group of 16 selected this hotel because it had parking, breakfast, and a pool

Unfortunately the pool was closed (IHG did not mention this when I confirmed with them that the hotel did in fact have a pool) and two of our non-smoking rooms smelled like cigarette smokeThe breakfast was okay Nothing special, but okayThe positive side of things is that the staff was FANTASTIC The manager apologized for the problems, did not try to cover anything up or make any excuses, and did his best to make things right! He was gracious in ensuring that we received the correct rate and compensation for the smokey rooms He also explained that the hotel is under new ownership and new management who are actively working to improve the facility We even saw an interior design team present when we checked in

Was greeted at desk by a gentleman in a plain white t shirt and jeans, not professional, and some guests making a complaintFound the pool and hot tub was closed by a handwritten note at front desk We specifically booked this hotel for those amenities

Our room on the first floor was in no way a soundproof room, highway traffic and other guests noise, caused a sleepless nightHowever the room was clean and the breakfast selections were nice

Hotel was in a good location with wonderful service Main entrance doors locked at night the lot across the street only charged $30 for overnight parking instead of the $50 the hotel charges

Poor wifi however, and the shower door kept sliding open while in the shower Also, even though we noted that 4 will be staying, we were given a room for 2: toiletries, towels, no sheets for the sleeper couch, silverware and plates and cups… they do have good service though and although it took a few calls, everyone was very friendly and helpful

We are Club Wyndham owners at this location

I loved everything except issues with the pool area people were leaving stuff in chairs and then leaving and going back to the rooms or somewhere for hours at a time so that left there no chairs for people that were actually at the pool Especially the Cabana chairs somehow I feel there should be monitored by the facility When we reported it they kind of just acted like there was nothing they could do about it

Right next to some beautiful views, the resort has 4 pools, a game room, from 9am to 10pm as well as a 24-hour gym, spa, and computer room with printer It might not serve breakfast but each room has its own kitchen with fridge, microwave, oven, and sink The best part was the free laundry room

The parking validation was a breeze thanks to customer service

Great location to enjoy the national harbor area Not too far from Washington DC The facility doesn’t have its own parking, but there’s a parking lot across the street, which the timeshare acts as the intermediary

My guest arrived first and instead of asking how long they plan to stay, they assumed they would stay the duration of the reservation and issued them a parking pass for the length of the reservation When they left 2 days shy of the reservation, they were told there is no refund for unused time The lobby and common areas looked nice My room was a 3 bedroom suite with a balcony The room was a decent size, the amenities were a bit antiquated, and the rug was disgusting My grandson, a 15 month old, was with me and the dirt on his feet, daily, was unacceptable Unless Wyndham plans to renovate, I don’t see myself staying there again This is not the first Wyndham timeshare that I stayed at that seriously needs an upgrade It makes me wonder what they do with our maintenance

We stayed for 6 days at this hotel May 18/23 and we loved everything from our stay! The hotel was safe, clean and had great breakfast variety! Yes, they have paper plates but unless you want to help wash a dish due to staffing shortagestop complaining! The breakfast and front desk staff were wonderful and very polite

Rooms where clean and we will definitely stay there again plusmetro is right across the street, tons of food and fun places around Didn’t use the pool, so can’t review that

Came into town for a last minute passport need This hotel is not only conveniently located and reasonably priced, it is top notch clean and accommodating Staff is 5 star terrific all hours of the day

Bar in the lobby, lounge on the second floor, pool, nice suites with pull it beds big enough for 2 kids I could go on and on A fantastic stay, which certainly helped with the woes of having to deal with the passport agency( they were super nice too, just a long line) loved it, I’ll be back every time I am in DC

Before I say anything negative about our stay I absolutely have to start by saying the staff is beyond compare From the desk attendants to the valet staff everyone was so wonderfully helpful and super friendly Their claim to any good ratings has to start with these employees & I hope management pays them accordingly

But we need to talk about the beds I’m sure bed firmness preference is one of those things where you can never please everyone but I can’t believe these beds are pleasing even the majority This firmness of these things are one step up from sleeping on the floor & the linens are papery We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but after speaking with some other guests in the hotel & their confirmation about the mattress situation we checked out early since it appeared all the mattresses were going to be like this My back is killing me and I won’t be able to make it 2 more nights Upgrade everything about the bedding and this place would be a great find

We stayed here with our two young kids and had a great experience The bistro took such great care of us at breakfast, and we couldn’t believe how delicious the food was for a little cafe The hotel was clean and well-maintained which has been our typical experience with Marriott

There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and we were able to walk to the Capitol in just a few minutes I’d stay here again

There are a few staples I value in a hotel (ie safety, quiet, clean), but the customer service is what will wow me

The two gentlemen who work at night were incredibly personable, helpful and caringWhat took it to the next level was this: they gladly coordinated an accommodation I needed Then, shortly after I got to my room, one of them called to ensure it was okay I’ve never had someone be that attentive at a CourtyardIts close proximity to Whole Foods was an added perk!

Don’t forget to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a stay This site will compare thousands of booking web sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in this area

The lobby/check in staff were fantastic! The room was clean (minus needing a little dusting), the breakfast was awesome & it was in a great location We did have a couple of critiques, but nothing that was a big deal We asked for the room farthest from the elevator & was given the room right by the elevator, we were charged for a pet fee, despite not having a pet & leaving the room very clean (but they graciously removed), not having a bathroom ventilation fan in the bathroom & low water pressure, but we were very pleased w/ our stay & would definitely go back!

Deanna Lewis

We stayed here for a stop at six flags America This was a perfect location due to the food and shopping nearby, The pool is nice (not too exciting but good for keeping kids entertained for a little)The breakfast here was excellent with good choices Check in and out was also easy

Do ask for a room away from the elevators as they do make noise when they arrive on the same floor, if that is something that will bother you

Tim J

I didn’t stay here, my family did They told me that the room was very comfortable and spacious They enjoyed the breakfast and even though the lobby was full, there was still ample room to move around

The liked the fact that the location is off the mall but yet is on it so they really didn’t have to deal with mall too much mall traffic interrupting them They would stay at this property again

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a resort This web site will compare thousands of hotel sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of my favorites in the area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you definitely won’t regret itConvenient location, fairly close to the Smithsonian museums and national mallThe 2 queen bed (and sofa bed) room is perfect for families Service is fast and friendlyBreakfast is a bit basic but is included in your room fee which is a major plusMost of the unique amenities are closed in the cooler seasons and parking is a little pricey ($50/day) but otherwise it is a well equipped hotel

Ryan Yturriaga

Pros: Great clean rooms, access to the national mall, relatively a good part of the neighborhood Room service everyday The swimming pool is a little small for the building, and no matter how hot it gets (summer) the water is ice-cold

The room service staff are friendly and very accommodatingCons: (why the 2 stars) – it a hit or miss with the staffing Their breakfast times are 6AM-9AM so really short compared to other chain hotels If you are from the west coast, chances are you will miss the breakfast Here’s the kicker, the waitress literally swipe the food in front of us at 0905AM – instead of closing off the section, we are left just scrambling to get whatever we can get thanks to that very admirable waitress (05-31-2022 – mornings) It left a really bad taste for the 4 people left on the line without consideration at allI save about $5000 a night from Embassy Suites, but this kind of service is not worth it Consider somewhere else

Nichole Raybould

The staff is the most UNFRIENDLY I have ever experienced at a hotel We booked and prepaid for 3 nights through a 3rd party and I called the hotel the day before we were to check in to verify we were confirmed with our room as were to drive 6+ hours the following day It took 2 people on the phone and 45 minutes to “find” my reservation in their system even though we had prepaid for the room in order to get a cheaper rate

Finally they found it and said I was good to go Great We arrive the next day to check in and AGAIN, they cannot find my reservation It took 2 people and ANOTHER 45 minutes to “find” our reservation in their system They were incredibly unfriendly about it too Almost like they were waiting for us to get fed up and leave Finally, magically, it appeared and we’re good to go again With 1 night left in our stay we get a phone call from the front desk saying that we were supposed to only stay 2 nights We inform them, no, we paid for 3 nights It says right here on our confirmation and when we checked in we confirmed it was 3 nights They threatened to call the police on us because we told them we would not check out early They put my husband on hold and never came back on So in the meantime, I called the 3rd party company we booked it through and asked them to contact the hotel and confirm that yes, indeed, we paid for 3 nights My husband got tired of sitting on hold and went downstairs to the front desk to confront them in person By the time he got down there it was all “magically” fixed No apology No accommodation, nothing SO RUDE I’m being gracious in giving them 1 star but only because the room itself was fine and the free breakfast was good But we will never stay here again I have never had a worse experience with a hotel
