Super fun hotel!! Steps from the beach, pool and jacuzzi They have an elegant dining area with a bar inside and outside The casino is fun and we hit a couple hundred on the slots

They have a gift shop and a nice lounge to wait in on arrival or departure I also saw several people using their laptops there I booked through a second party and the only option was 2 queen beds While checking in they immediately found us a room with a king bed on a floor we preferred We didn’t even ask them, they asked us The room was very nice with a small refrigerator and a microwave The room was clean and the bathroom was well stocked We definitely enjoyed our stay there and the employees were super friendly and helpful We can’t wait to go back!!

I’m leaving this location a two-star rating not because of the people who work there but because of what I gather to be a value for my money based upon the overall experience of just the hotel All of the staff did an excellent job however I found that the cost of this location versus what you received in terms of amenities were not in alignment in my opinion My room cost varied from just over $200 to almost $400 during this day depending upon the day

On top of that they were charging an additional 34 or $35 for a resort fee which based upon the amenities we received should have not been charged The rooms have been recently renovated although there were still some minor issues they really didn’t affect anything other than my overall thoughts on quality for the renovation We spent quite a bit of time at the pool area and the pool bar which in my opinion was probably the best time we spent there along with the breakfast in the morning The food for breakfast was good The wait staff at the bar did an excellent job However the dinner there regarding seafood was poor quality and very little quantity and I was suggest you skip dinner at this location at their restaurant There is also no shuttle from this hotel to and from the airport which considering the amount of money we paid I found to be very odd and one of the reasons for this low hotel rating Some positive aspects were the beach and again the people who worked at the hotel did an excellent job I’m fairly certain that I would not stay here again but I might consider it if I see some changes in the hotel pricing as well as the resort fee

Don’t forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a stay They compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area

I have been coming here for a very long time If you decide to stay here you definitely won’t be disappointedWonderful amenities and staff! Stayed for a week, beautiful views right on the ocean We enjoyed the casino and the outdoor restaurant/bar many times Food and drinks are both delicious Hot tubs, pools and hammocks are very relaxing after a long day of fun Definitely would return!

First: I would stay again Now for the small negatives The front receptionists could be a little more welcoming, brown bag breakfast is a little disappointing, you can very clearly hear people talk outside of your room door and I feel the amenities close to early

Now for the pros The maid staff was great, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location is very convenient for the beach, food, and essentials shopping

Melanie Leslie

This was our first time staying here and I must say it was great!! If your looking for convenience, we’ll here’s your place Close to the beach, and a variety of restaurants! 10mins from the airport!!!Once we arrived, we came earlier than check-in so the front desk lady was kind enough to hold our bags while we walk around for a few! The lock on the door was a bit annoying so we had a key instead The room was really small

I kinda reminded me of having a bedroom just with the bathroom attached The room was very clean! Prices for beverages were $1 which you can’t beat that anywhere I would definitely book here again to stay!! But I’d definitely see what other room options they have available!!! The hospitality was beyond great

Samantha Sheen

The hotel itself was great It was clean and the staff were very helpful and welcoming! The rooms were a decent size for 2 people Very small negatives like there not being a mirror other than in the bathroom made it difficult for 2 people to get ready at the same time, and the doors are very thin so you can hear everything outside your door (which wasn’t a big deal because no one was really loud), and although its a cheaper hotel in the area i think it was about $20-$30 more expensive than it should of been for the amenities we recieved but we would stay again despite these things!

Wonderful host! Very accommodating to our last minute needs last night for a great rate ! The little street is completely gated so I felt safe and there was a police station just up the road too I highly recommend this as a good place to crash especially right before going to the airport in the morning One thing to note is she only takes cash I believe but no biggie

Great rate and bed was comfy ! I would stay here again

Karen chidera

Marisol is an excellent host Clean room with AC and wifi (connection could be a bit spotty) When my early morning flight was cancelled, Marisol let me stay at the place longer so that I could take an evening flight later that day at no extra cost

She was friendly and also gave recommendations of places to visit in the surrounding area Great location and a comfortable stay You cannot go wrong in choosing to stay at Aramana & Beach BB <3

Rebeca Maria

All I can say is the staff is wonderful! Everything is immaculate The amount of people working at this hotel is great! They have everything you need and will do anything to make sure you are comfortable Yes it is a Hampton Inn so some of the decorations in the room are a little older but the cleanliness is amazing

The beds are super comfortable The pool area is very nice for being so close to the airport While it is more expensive than a mainland Hampton Inn, the value you get and service is well worth it The breakfast buffet was one of the best managed I have seen as far as keeping things up and never having anything look out of place Extremely well managed Hampton Inn! I even used the washers and dryers, and that area was immaculate too!

Travel Like a Type A

We only stayed here for 1 night before we checked into our rental house but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was! We got in late after our flight and the complimentary breakfast was perfect to get our day started The staff kept it stocked & clean and they were very gracious with the bottles of water We spent the morning lounging by the pool that we almost had to ourselves

It was so so nice with plenty of loungers and outdoor furniture The swim up bar was really fun & we ordered lots of yummy drinks (the mojito & margarita being our favorites) After check out we wanted to walk around a little & the front desk was very accommodating by holding our bags for us during this time Highly recommend!

AC Cruze

I stayed 9 nights at this hotel, and we had an amazing experience They gave us room 125, which was all the way at the end, but to our surprise, it was really close to the pool and had was close to the parking lot at the back side of the hotel which made the coming and going much easier and quicker All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful

The morning breakfast was wonderful and was always something new Parking lot was closed to the public which felt more secure Kids at lots of fund at the pool Will continue to book at this hotel everytime we visit San Juan! Loved our Stay!

I had an amazing stay at Mango Mansion All of the hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable Corey was very kind while checking me in and provided me wonderful recommendations and directions to local attractions

Although the area can be noisy at night, I brought earplugs and slept perfectly because the bed & bedding were so comfortable The dorms and bathrooms were tidy and kept clean Wonderful shared community areas within the hostel to enjoy I loved that the hostel was within 5-10 min walks of cafes, parks, beaches, nightclubs, and restaurants- great location! Thank you for a wonderful stay, I will be back soon!

This was my first time ever staying at a hostel It was a great experience over all Clean friendly

The group of fellow travelers is what really made this a great place I would give five stars but a few of the employees were less Hospitable then others, others went out of there way to make sure you had everything you needed Safe Clean Secure Accommodating Great location, easy highway access They did not have secure parking for my rental car but I did know this ahead of time

Santurica is one of the best hostel options in San Juan Firstly it is Centrally located with plenty of food options around and close to the famous market place Secondly the staff and service are amazing, they are proactive and reach out to ensure you have a good stay

Thirdly they have both dorms and private rooms to chose from depending on your budget and lifestyle The private rooms are big and comfy! The dorms are great but could be better – having night lights, Power points in bunk beds would be great The lockers in the dorms are old, and the paint is chipping which is a health hazard – advise you replace them Metal sliver entered my skin while using the locker and could have been hazardous

Zandria Winn

So I am still here at Santurcia but I want to give a shout out to Ahmed (the owner) and the other staff because I had a situation and they immediately jumped in to help with no hassle or judgment After an “interesting” stay in PR thus far I really appreciate their kindness I am looking forward to my next 10 days here

Thank you 🥰The only* complaint I have is I think they should put fans in the kitchen area as it gets pretty hot in there but the rest of the building is kinda cold at times so I guess it can be considered a haven for the more cold-natured folks 😅

J

I had a fantastic stay here with a few things that could be worked on I booked this hostel because it was the only one left that had female dorms available and I’m so glad I chose them The rooms were exactly as pictured and staff was super friendly and gave great customer service

I stayed about 6 days in the 4 bed all female dorm and had the best roommates Each room gets there own shower and ours was very clean Just a few things to note about the rooms was that if your on the top bunk your outlet is all the way down at the bottom of the bottom bunk and the ladder was kind of hard to use, there wasn’t anything to really grab on to which I didn’t realize when I requested the top bunk Also it would be helpful to have a small lamp or something at each bed in the wall as I’ve seen at other hostels Each room was air conditioned except the kitchen, maybe add a fan somewhere? Also, these are small things but please add a mosquito catcher to the kitchen😫 because there are opened vents(?) In there they get in and I got bit up And I think you should change the type of trash can that’s in the kitchenit requires guest to use their fingers to opening lid which isn’t very sanitaryjust a cheap one with a pedal will do Just one more thing to note, they do rent out the rooftop to non guest on weekends sometimes which I did not know I get it, make that money anyway you can BUT maybe give the guest some rules because whoever was having a birthday party that night was obnoxiously loud and stomping and singing (screaming) at the top of their lungsI’m pretty sure they did it on purpose Luckily I was leaving that night but the rest of my stay was very nice Like I said these aren’t that big of a deal and the pros definitely outweigh any cons It’s in a great location with a grocery store nearby and a nice coffee shop across the street Old San Juan is about a 15min UBER drive and the Art Museum is a block away I highly recommend this place even with those few hiccups, it’s the best hostel I’ve stayed at so far I would definitely stay here again

We loved our stay here! It was right on the beach (the highlight of hotel), convenient to local stores, restaurants, and bars (all within walking distance), and the staff was very friendly and super attentive- anything you want was a easy text message away! If I had to give any recommendations for an improvement would be better ventilation in the rooms The rooms are really small (which is standard for a boutique hotel) but because of that the room felt moist and stuffy at times (especially if the air conditioning wasn’t on) My other recommendation would be a separate sitting area outside for hotel guest! The restaurant inside the hotel has seating for restaurant patrons only, but as a guest it would have been nice just to sit out on that balcony area and enjoy the nice weather

Yusimy Reyes (Yusi)

Hotel personal very nice Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful However, rooms are not as cleaned as expected

Rooms need a little maintenance to make them look as they are promoted within their website Sink was loose; from the wall Toilet seat was not the size the toilet bowl required (oversized) Bed sheets were not changed during my 5 day stay It would have been nice to have had at least every other day; room service; done to the room and clean towels placed Otherwise, my rating would have been 5 stars

Luis Mercado

This is my 3rd time at The Tryst I love the location Super clean, with a beautiful ocean view

Small rooms, but I’m good with it The restaurant is A+ The staff is excellent and very friendly They always have helped me a lot In this trip, Alex Vargas made the difference helping me with some technical issues I had to work from the hotel Thanks to him, I could Thanks, amigos!

Paul Rolince

The lobby and rooftop were very nice The rest of the hotel we experienced was very dated We had 4 rooms, all about the same quality which was not really an upscale experience for the price

Staff was great Always very accommodating Fernando was one of the front desk staff I encountered while I was there He was the best! Great location to the beach Overall it was a good experience, but will probably stay somewhere else next time

Nicole Hawkins

I wanted to celebrate my birthday on the beach and this was a great place to do it! The rooms themselves need renovation (3 out of 5 stars) but I was only in the room to sleep The restaurants and roof top lounge were wonderful! The staff and service deserve 5 stars The service began with the digital concierge texting me a few days prior to my stay

It was a very helpful service that answered many of my questions with prompt response times Upon arrival and during my stay, the staff where very helpful and accommodating Great location steps away from the beach and plenty to do in the area Would definitely stay again

cynthia Mueller

Well, my visit started off bad as soon as we arrived I had booked through a travel agent a room with 2 double beds for my daughter and I They gave us a room with one king size bed

When I tried to change it the hotel manager said that they didn’t have anything else available at that time but she could probably provide us with a room with a full bed and pull out sofa the next day That was fine As long as they fixed their wrong That never happened Also, per their advertisements, the room was to have a refrigerator and microwave which it did not They were also supposed to provide a continental breakfast which they did not, and please do not believe the pictures they show of the hotel The pool area does is very small and does not have chairs Their are beanbag chairs and they are not white as the pictures show Eventhough the rooftop restaurant is pricey, they have the best food and cocktails ever The wait staff and bartender’s are awesome That is the best part of the hotel Besides the room being wrong, it wasn’t a bad stay You just have to adjust to some things when you weren’t expecting to The staff was super nice and friendly

We loved everything about our stay First thing we noticed was how welcoming everyone was I told my partner that I wanted to stay forever because the front desk staff had me at hello! The staff’s energy was magical and the community vibes made us feel safe! I even shared a little about our business venture with the Dream team and they went above and beyond to make me feel special with their enthusiasm and encouragement

One day we entered our room and there was a cold bottle of champagne sitting on the table, gifted by management, again I was flabbergasted by such a beautiful detail! Our room was super clean and comfortable Their rules are simple and they even have an honor system to purchase drinks and food items Wow! No boring vending machine here! There are awesome restaurants, bars, and other entertainment at walking distanceWe will definitely be back! Thank you DREAM TEAM!

My husband and I along with another couple stayed here for 4 nights and I loved it The atmosphere is incredible The singing coqui frogs at night were magical

I stayed in room 1, where the bathroom is bigger than the bedroom with an open outdoor window that brought in lovely sounds at night I loved our “outdoor” shower The use of beach towels and chairs, free of charge, was incredibly nice I enjoyed the common areas too Highly recommend!

Shawna Stillwell

This was the best stay my partner and I have had anywhere, ever We stayed in the Tropicalia Suite and it was like a home away from home It was incredibly peaceful, close to the beach (only a couple blocks away), close to great restaurants (we barely drove anywhere), and the staff was always kind and helpful

Earvin at the front desk was amazing, and the yoga instructors Rhiannon and Jessie helped us to strengthen our yoga practice There was always fresh tea, coffee, and snacks too! If you’re looking for a more tranquil getaway where you can connect with nature (and yourself), this is the perfect place for that There are plants, fountains, and the sounds of nature all around you during your stay We will definitely be back

You feel like you are welcomed into the Coqui family and the hosts are very knowledgeable and hospitable They go above and beyond to make sure every part of your stay is enjoyable every step of the way The accommodations were very comfortable and clean

The breakfasts were delicious I met some lovely people and would definitely recommend to those travelling alone, with a partner, and/or with friends I look forward to going back again in the future, what a little gem!

F Simp

Staying at Coqui del Mar was one of the best traveling experiences that I have had the opportunity to experience in a very long time! The main hosts, Rob and V’, were beyond hospitable and ensured that everything at the house functioned/operated like it should I had no issues with lodging or any of the other guests in the house Everyone was friendly and very accepting of their neighbors

Sign up for a tour and enjoy weekend brunch- you won’t regret them! Highly recommend staying here and feel free to reach out to the hosts if you have any questions about any future or upcoming stays They are extremely helpful and know the area very well! I am already considering future visits and can’t wait to travel back!

Paul M. Jones

It really is somewhere in between 35 – 4 but I tend towards the higher Gated community location doesn’t make access simple, however once you learn how to navigate the area, I think you will find the hotel quite charming

Small, narrow walkways and a tiny “pool”, but the place is really nice and a very easy walk to the nearest beach The one owner goes out of his way to make all the guests feel welcomed while the other barely acknowledged me But who cares, I am not into idle chit chat And if you like chit chat in a secluded environment, this place is for you What is 5 stars about this place, though, is the weekend brunch 5 star coconut bacon, potatoes and French Toast! I personally will stay somewhere else if I return to PR, but I highly recommend you give it a shot to experience for yourself

The location is absolutely perfect! Short walk to the lagoon for paddle boarding and to multiple beaches! The price was unbeatable and the staff was friendly and helpful Being able to use the pool next door was a huge bonus and we even had a little balcony on our room which I didn’t expect The view from the rooftop was also gorgeous

It’s definitely a slightly older building but as long as you go in understanding it’s a budget hotel with a great location, you’ll have a great stay

Balthanon Ysen

Overall, I was fairly pleased with my stay at the El Canario On its own, it is lacking a number of amenities and its rooms are definitely dated However, the arrangement they have with the Comfort Inn next door remedies most of the elements that are potentially gaps with breakfast, a nice little pool (shaded in the evening for sunburn free swimming, in the sun in the morning for those who prefer that), an exercise room, and a slightly nicer area to sit and relax

I was surprised at how tasty the breakfast was most mornings– it’s fairly simple fare, but it’s cooked and seasoned well and they give you a good variety to make up for it not being the standard all you can eat you typically receive It also changes each morning, so you’re not just eating the same thing constantlyThe rooms are the biggest gap, but while old (not even having electronic locks) they were clean and the bed and pillows weren’t terrible The biggest issue for me was really the AC, which was the old style in room variety and thus noisy, constantly running and cycling between very cold air and room temperature For the price compared to nearby hotels it was more or less what I expected I stayed at the very beginning of spring break so I did experience the fact that the noise in corridors is clear in the rooms tooOverall though a decent stay

Yesenia Martinez

Love this place Breakfast next door, The elevator is kind of scary If you go you’ll understand what I’m talking about

Unfortunately this hotel does not have parking and there’s barely any street parking but there is a garage down the street that you can park the car and they charge about $20 fee overnight parking But its nice , peaceful place to stay

Our experience was excellent Personnel was friendly Nice cozy room, cool a/c, water sistern tank and generator in case of emergency at an affordable price

Even though there is no restaurant, Doordash delivered to our room as requested There are many places to eat nearby, if you have a vehicle We appreciated that the pool closes at 10:00pm as some guests do really want to rest and avoid loud noises late at nightNice Christmas decorations right after Thanksgiving! It can improve by offering complimentary coffee and perhaps water the day of arrival

When we checked in there was no English speaking person! The only 2 bed queen rooms are on the 3rd fl and I have a bad knee so it is hard for me to walk 3 flights When we got to the room there were no wash cloths and only 1 sheet on the bed Ironing board but no iron’ no soap, no shower mat and no kleenex In the morning there was no hot water to shower, no coffee and no maid service

I don’t think they come up to the 3rd floor Hotelcom claimed it is handicapp accessible but it is not The road back yo this hotel is a road from HELL There in nothing around this hotel and it should be considered a 1 star hotel

Nice small hotel hidden in the country side of Carolina, Puerto Rico If you want a little bit of tranquility in the middle of a busy city, this is the place to be Located less than 10 minutes from main road Ave 65 de Infanteria

Very clean and comfortable, had a refrigerator and large bathroom Parking is available free for hotel guests The only con was that water was cold most of the days, but they told us that they use a solar water heater, and to be fair it was raining most of the days we were there Overall, it was a nice place, affordable, and safe for your stay in Carolina

FANTASTIC! My partner and I loved everything about our stay here The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area Jorge was awesome getting us checked in and giving us recommendations/info about the area

The hotel is beautiful and has all the amenities you could want for a top-notch beach stay The roof-top deck is really fun and has a gorgeous view The location is fantastic, and you are walking distance to a TON of amazing food and night life I adored getting to explore PR, and even got to take the ferry over to Culebra I cannot wait to come back! I cannot say enough about the Dream Inn! The owners have really thought about every detail The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well decorated The island experienced a power outage during our stay, but our time was uninterrupted because they had a generator

The upper roof deck and pool area offer a nice place to hang and plan your day There are restaurants and a beautiful beach within walking distance Beyond the accommodations the owners are truly lovely and hospitable people My flight was delayed due to the power outage and they went above and beyond to try to assist my family, allowing us to access the facility even beyond our check out time to come up with a Plan B Thank you Dream Inn!

Great hostel! There was clear communication on how to enter the location upon arrival I was immediately greeted by an employee who helped me find my room, even after hours The other guests staying in the hostel were kind, helpful, and respectful

I felt safe the entire time, and felt like I was given the info I needed to have a great night in the local area I spent most of the night on the awesome rooftop hangout, chatting with other guests When I made it to bed, it was clean and comfortable 10/10 recommend for solo or a few travelers!

This hotel has been updated (relative to the Hilton Ponce property we spent the first 5 days at) However, the room wasn’t thoroughly cleaned — debris from previous guests on the floor and the bed linens appeared unchanged We requested clean linen and changed it ourselves

The restaurant was nice and the food slightly above average but service was always excellent The chicken wings with guava BBQ sauce was very good but the ribs were tough and not edible (per my mom)In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, there is a Denny’s, an Asian restaurant, and several other stores Going down the block and around the corner, the neighborhood appeared run downIf I travel back to San Juan, I’ll stay at the Marriott which is about 10 minutes away That property was right on the beach and had a huge lovely pool

I have stayed at Motel 6 with better facilities Don’t come expecting the amenities you’re used to in continental US or any other region with decent hospitality Only the restaurant at the front is upscale

Nothing else about this hotel deserves a star rating The rooms are small, shabby, poorly lit and congested The toilet doesn’t provide complete privacy which is weird if you’re not traveling with a romantic partner They charge 4 star prices for non star service The staff is either helpless or not very helpful Certainly not very hospitable You’re better off paying a little extra and staying at a 5 star hotel by the beach

Been here couple times now, never had a bad experience like some have posted Great location to just exit hotel and get out in the town Large supermarket right across the street and many restaurants located within walking distance of hotel

Staff are always pleasant and accommodating If you are looking for large rooms this is not your place, but most don’t go to stay in rooms anyway

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel! definitely made you feel at home especially with the hotel cat 😻 I saw some negative reviews on here but we didn’t have any issues people have had the whole week me & my boyfriend stayed here it’s close by to everything & there was two specific women at the front desk were so helpful with telling us good places to eat, etc yes it’s close to the airport so you can hear every plane take off & land but i just wore ear plugs when i went to sleep

people will complain about every & anything! this place was great

Shayla Harris

Don’t accept a room near the lobby especially room 105! The lobby is open 24 hours The hotel needs updating as the room doors are not sound proof, they are thin wood with grates on the bottom and there’s no carpet in the lobby or hallways so the sound travels There was loud talking, loud laughing, microwave door banging, microwave beeping (there are no microwaves in the rooms, only in the lobby) well after 1am and one night until 3am and I could hear the front desk phone ringing all night

I complained the 1st 2 nights to no avail The staff was nice but not very helpful as they suggested we, all 3 of us, were just light sleepers Some parts of the hotel were not cleaned well, little bugs were crawling all over the front desk when I checked in I had to pay $20 per night for a broken roll away bed, but we needed it There was no ramp for handicapped or persons needing help to get to our room, also no elevators There’s also a mangy, old dirty cat that has taken up residence in the lobby Usually laying next to the no animals allowed sign Go figure I hate to say it but if you need sleep or peace and quiet to sleep, or allergic to catsthis isn’t the hotel for you The location, pool and price were great and the highlights of the hotel Next time I’ll pay a little more and get a different hotel, not staying here again

I want to give this hotel a better review because the building, garden and location nearby to the seafront are superb but there were a couple of issues with my stayFirstly, there is a termite infestation throughout the main building I had them in my bedroom, bathroom and got bitten badly

Worse, they were all over the kitchen and even inside the fridge that was used to prepare breakfastSecondly, the breakfast is poor quality and not very varied If you don’t eat scrambled eggs there’s no other option Just a few small pieces of toast with the same jam every day and if you’re lucky some rice and beans The gallo pinto (rice/beans) was cooked up in a big batch and then re-heated in a microwave for the next 4 days The typical Costa Rican breakfast is very simple but if this hotel wants to appeal to international tourists a little more effort needs to be made There were some vegan/gluten free visitors there during my stay who had to go with nothing except tea/coffee and juice for breakfastThe pool area and garden is really nice and it’s 5min walk from the beach frontThere’s a great seafood restaurant just around the cornerIt is a long walk from the town centre along a busy road I didn’t mind this as I’m used to plenty of exercise but some people might get tired and will have to rely on taxis
