Great location for shopping and dining The room was spacious except for shower which was narrow I forgot to request for a fridge and microwave

Which I got by without it Bed was clean and comfortable I also liked it was pet friendly I just wished some people gave courtesy to pick up after their pets Maybe they can post doggy bags in front of the building Overall I enjoyed my stay

Rosalinda Perez

If I could give it a zero I would I planned a getaway for my husband and I The room is spacious and comfortable but smells like mold or pee

They say on website they have 24hr room serviceNo roomservice at allThe TV has 1 free movie channel just showtime The rest of channels are basic cable with commercials No Streaming available from your phone or laptopThey have pay preview for $1999 a movie They are showing pretty women okay its 2022 not 1990s for $1999I know it sound ridiculous but they say this place is 5 starsI could have gone to Hampton suites or one of those for the price u pay her at $285 a night u think u will be able to get food delivered to room and watch a movie and get comfyThe only other superior thing going on in this hotel is u can bring your dog You are gonna need it

I stayed at Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel, for my birthday (3/4 -3/8), I had a lovely time, even when I locked myself out of my room (more than once) I was given extra rooms keys with a smile The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the GM went out of his way to make me feel welcome Only negative is that I wish there was a refrigerator and microwave in the room

other that that I have highly recommend Sheraton Chicago Northbrook Hotel

Very nice hotel for a couples stay during an extended Valentine’s weekend Looks like 1970s business architecture, but the inside is quite nicely decorated, and rooms were very nicely appointed It was not very busy, and the prices were excellent and worth the upgrade to the Executive floor with whirlpool baths

Staff was friendly The interior floorplan layout seemed a bit odd and which door is really the main entrance is confusing given this is also a conference center The entrance needs better signage and marking

I have stayed at this hotel twice now

once last year and the other time was this past weekend I had such a good stay here last year that I couldn’t wait to come back Well, things changed Last year I would’ve given the hotel 5 stars This year, 2 starsThe Good:- The hotel is located in a forested area with neaby trails that you can walk- The lower level has a pool, hot tub, sauna, and fitness center- Breakfast buffet had an alright price with good offerings- Most guest rooms have a spacious sink area outside the bathroomThe Bad:- The cleanliness of the building took a major nosedive compared to last year When I checked-in on Friday, there was garbage everywhere Empty cups in waiting areas, litter on the floor, and there was a silver breakfast tray (from the previous visitor) that sat outside my room (601) for the entire weekend You cannot tell me that no one from housekeeping noticed that tray sitting there for 48 hours- Pool area might need a refurbishment soon There was rust on the floor and mold on the walls and ceiling (I know it’s a pool area and it’s going to eventually happen)- There was a police investigation going on down the hall from where I was staying- Noise can be so-soOverall, would I stay here again? Maybe to a probably not

Jeff Axelrod

Absolutely disgusting pool with black mold on ceiling tiles and walls Every time we were at the pool there were no towels Staff didn’t have enough towels to bring to the pool to accommodate the guests after we called them for help

Pool chemicals must be pretty harsh; my skin was peeling for several days after the visit Temperature controls in room didn’t work, keeping the room about 5 degrees warmer than set all night Beds were extremely comfortable and room was clean Phone system didn’t work half the time Staff did the best they could under the circumstances and were extremely nice Shower pressure was abysmal but jetted tub was nice

My husband and I came into town for his 40-year High School reunion It was a great experience! After a long drive and exhaustion, I called the hotel to see if we would be able to check in early Maria was the sweetest and told us we could

That set the tone for the perfect stayThe rest of the staff was very friendly Beautiful hotel and cleanTo it off everything was within walking distanceWe had a wonderful stay and will be back

Vinh Le

Despite the other reviews, I went anyway and to find that people there are really nice especially Maria Just a hello and we had a great conversation about life, great customer service The hotel may need some upgrades but don’t we all; I think we should stop judging and just focus on the positive sides of thing and just enjoy it

Cause if you are able to be at a Doubletree Hilton during this pandemic time, pat yourself on the back and just go enjoy! ❤️ For me the highlight was meeting another like minded person and connecting while enjoying the Pool that indoor outdoor pool as you can see in my pictures is def amazing Go live it up and Thank you Hilton for a relaxed time much needed

Eric Bell

Service was pretty good but the nightly fee they charge for what amounts to tips for housekeeping was kind of cheap If the housekeeping is good I’ll tip accordingly, but don’t fail to disclose this when I book it then I find out when I get there that it’s mandatory Overall pretty good hotel, nice and clean, but I didn’t get a chance to visit the attached restaurant and the shuttle service isn’t very reliable as I had to hail a few ubers

If it wasn’t for the manager having checked us in an hour early and staff being friendly, this would be a 1 star Got up to the room, fully unpacked, and while going towards the sink outside the bathroom stepped in a wet spot on the carpet It was pee – guessing pet due to it being relatively pungent

It was out of the way and I thought it made sense someone might not notice it, until we found two much larger spots near the entrance towards the kitchen Staff was apologetic and came with cleaner, but even after rinsing out the spot and airing it out with the large sliding door (that opens directly to a patio rail – odd but convenient here), it smelled pretty strong of cleaner 6 hours later when we came back While we didn’t ask for a new room when we notified them (again, early check in), we weren’t offered one either By the time we got back there wouldn’t have been time to settle the kids into a new space Based on how strong the spray was, I have to imagine they usually don’t have someone stay in the room when they have to use itPossibly equally problematic but more endemic, is that the second floor unit we were on feels like it was carpeted over something other than a smooth surface (wood or other) There are several spots where the carpet dips down as you walk, and frankly if youre not careful could probably tripI will say – it was a quiet place, and I didn’t have to worry about anyone coming through the halls drunkenly waking up the kids That’s why I booked it in the first place But, in hindsight, it probably wasn’t worth the benefit at about $200 for the night

I was here for a business trip for 5 days I really enjoyed my stay The staff is very nice and helpful

As well as the hotel rooms are VERY clean, you can tell that they really do a deep clean before checking you in I would definitely recommend it The only thing I would say that was not that good is the pool; the water is dark blue and does not really look clean Other than that, I loved my stay Thank you

The pandemic cutbacks have really made this place inferior to what the Marriott standard used to be We certainly can get by without daily maid service, however there was one tiny bar of soap for two nights for two people We had to move it back-and-forth between the shower and the bathroom

There’s in room coffee to make in the morning, but only enough for one out of two morningsBoth TVs were unplugged, and it took us a few minutes to figure out that we had to plug them in to get them to workThere was a clock radio, but the buttons to reset the time to the correct time only worked for minutes, but not for the hours I guess everyone travels with a cell phone, so the clock in the hotel is now superfluousThe computers were down when we checked in, and they had to take a photo copy of my drivers license and credit card Of course, they said they would shred it once it was entered, but in this day and age, businesses are not supposed to leave that information visible to employees at any timeWe called the front desk to ask for an hour delay at checkout time, but we still had someone knocking at our door half an hour before the promised checkout time to clean the roomThere is a morning coffee bar downstairs, but on a Sunday morning when it was busy, I had to ask for the cream containers to be refilled There were no stirring sticks, but I snuck a spoon from the buffet next-doorWe did have a lovely well presented buffet breakfast for a large groupThe room was clean, and almost everything else was in working order, although the shower drained extraordinarily slowly The room was clean, and everything seemed relatively new and freshHopefully as pandemic fueled staffing shortages improve, they will be able to undo some of the cuts that they’ve been forced to make

Michael Pinto

My wife and I had a night away and stayed here, close to our homeNice and clean hotel and roomSince my in-laws booked us the room as a surprise, they booked it through hotels

com instead of Bonvoy direct They were nice enough to honor my Gold Elite status and the amenities that are associated Very nice of themNice hotel, nice staff, and an a around solid property I will definitely stay here again for a local hotel

Mike Lurie

I will give you the good, and the not so good I hesitate to call it bad, because it really wasn’t terrible, but worth notingFirst, the good

Hotel staff were AMAZING! They were so friendly and helpful From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff to the bar staff – they could not be nicer With every interaction I felt like familyThe room was very spacious and very clean Every room is a suite, so there is a separate bedroom that can be closed from the remainder of the roomThe price was amazing, I wold have expected to pay much moreNow for the not so good I was there in early July, and it was hot outside However, the A/C in the hotel was on overdrive It was so cold in the hotel lobby, bar, and eating area you almost needed a coat or sweatshirt In fact I did see several older folks bundled up because it was so darn coldSame with my room When I first opened the door, I was surprised at how cold it was I had to turn off the A/C to get the room up to a manageable temperatureAnd while the room was super clean, you could tell it is in need of updating The bathroom was great, but not very bright And the sink drained very slowly Also, the hot water faucet would leak when the cold water was turned on, making a sizeable puddle on the counter All of these are easily fixed if they were to spend some time making regular updatesI am still providing 4 stars because the good far outweighs the not-so-good Will definitely stay there again, as it is close to highways and friends and family when I travel to Chicago

good morning, Good hotel, excellent location, very clean and comfortable and very good breakfast

Only the employee Wilma A was not friendly at all, she questioned my arrival time when there was already an arrival note, instead to receive the guest with a smile that is only what is asked of a worker because he not only refuted and I felt like a scolded child I hope that in my next stay there because I am going to return I will not run into that employee because it could be the last time that she uses that hotel but otherwise very good hotel and service

Many pot holes in road surface, of hotel property Poor lighting, so that walking from car to front door you have the risk of tripping Towel replacement requested everyday but took 3 days to get towels

Each day multiple people responded that towels would be replaceTub surface was dangerous to stand on Bathroom tub area had well positioned hand rails and a pull down set Tub looked safe However, dry tub surface was very slippery I wondered if they polished it to look good Once tub had been used and it dried overnight I checked by placing a dry foot onto dry tub surface and promptly had foot slid on tub surface Tub unsafe to use, despite railsIce machine did not function on 2 out of 3 floors and yes reporting ice machine problem did not get problems solved Desk clerk said each machine has a note “BROKEN” Neither had a notice that machine did not functionTV remote quit working on day 3 of 6 never fixed despite reporting problem Once I was told that someone would be right up My next call I was told someone HAD been immediately sent to make repairAll of my requests were made after a large group of musicians had checked outThe musicians were the best part of my stay The music they played in the lobby was beautiful and relaxingI will never stay at this hotel again

Debbie Guzman

Big bedroom, with a desk and a couch in it You have a microwave, small fridge, and a coffee maker (but there is a coffee station in the lobby with everything you could need)Everything clean

The shower didn’t drain the water at a similar or faster pace than the one coming from the shower, so you get a little puddle in the bathtubthis is my only complain, but I have to say I didn’t ask for help from the helpdesk or other staff members, since my stay was very shortIncluded breakfast during my stay: 3 different cereals, oatmeal, protein bars, 3 type of muffins (chocolate, vanilla, blueberry), boiled eggs, waffles (you can make big ones or smaller ones), yogurts, fruit cocktail, 2 types of juice (apple and orange), different types of bread, and grape jam The coffee and tea station was availableThe staff is super nice Howard in the front desk was amazing and funny ❤️

I was going to leave 3 stars because I was so surprised at the night auditor our first night being so proactive and helpful when I expressed our concerns over the status of the room After speaking with the manager this morning at checkout, I can only leave 1 I worked at a Staybridge for many years and love the brand and the quality of service they always provide

Along with the quality of maintenance of their rooms and building I can’t say that about this location Walked into room and immediately noticed the large bulge in the ceiling of the living room 6-8 inches wide and about 2 feet long Continued through room and when I went into the bathroom, noticed evidence of extreme water damage and at the base of the door trim-mold because of said damage I took photos and planned on speaking with staff in the morning Late that night, while my family was sleeping, I was reading in the living room The guests upstairs were so incredibly loud and stomping-but it comes with the territory They stomped so hard that all of a sudden a piece of the ceiling (where the large bulge was) fell onto the couch and a large crack had opened up I went to the front desk and she was so helpful and said she would be taking 50% off our stay I was so thankful and was not expecting that at all They were 100% full so moving rooms was not an option When we checked out, I went to front desk to get our receipt and check out and thank them for being so accommodating, the manager printed off my receipt and I noticed only 50% was taken off for one night When I had asked her, she said she had no idea about this but thanks for staying I told her the ceiling literally fell on me She said “I had no idea, sorry Have a great day Here’s a card if you want to dispute this” We had a very long drive ahead of us with small children, so disputing this right then and there was not something I could take the time to do I plan on sending an email to manager and also their corporate as well This was unacceptable behavior from the management Things happen Out of our control and the night auditor was fantastic But the fact that I was treated with zero regard and said to have a good day from management is not ok I hope this gets resolved immediately

Hanslik Julie

We had to wait 45 mins to check in because they tried to take money for our stay twice Every employee there was trying to run our card They ended taking money out twice anyway

Now have to wait days for our money to go back on our card They were not pleasant at all The lady that ran the breakfast area is very rude Our bathroom had black wavy hair all over the floor They had kids above our room that were running around most of our stay The hotel was OK They have a fire pit area that we did enjoy Heated pool I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel The staff seem pretty incompetent

larry wright

It was a suite with a full kitchen Everything was very clean and put away It had two TVs

And although there may be an additional cost I believe it’s pet friendly And it wasn’t much more than a normal room The service was as expected but the staff was very friendly They had a decent complimentary breakfast The location served my needs but I have no idea what is in the area If I come back in the area I will definitely be staying here again

Every single light in my room could only be turned on at MAXIMUM BRIGHTNESS It was not even possible to use the bathroom in the middle of the night without fully turning on this bright white light (see photo), which made it rather difficult to get back to sleep afterward I shared a double room with a family member, and there was no way to turn on a small light to work or read without waking her up – even the “reading lights” next to the beds were this same bright, undimmable white

The room was otherwise pleasant, the staff are just lovely (really exceedingly friendly and helpful, would give them six stars if I could – they partially opened the lobby coffee bar early for a handful of guests who came down before their official 7 AM opening time), and the courtyard is beautiful, but the lighting issue is just such a huge problem for a hotel room (after all, the point is ultimately to _sleep_ there)

Said Abushamleh

I saw an unrecognized transaction from them I called them, the hotel rep told me it is an internet fee Well, I was told that the internet is free at the check-in

My Expedia booking also shows that the internet is free as well When I mentioned this issue to the hotel rep, she refused to refund this hidden fee, and when I told the hotel rep over the phone that I am going to post a low star review about this, she seemed careless and she said yes go ahead and post a bad review on us!!!

Booked a king room Got double full size beds that barely fit both of us Both beds didn’t use a fitted sheets, which is fine if the flat sheets actually covered the mattress

Both were not completely covering the mattress at the foot of the bedAirport shuttle arrived and left late Appeared to just be sitting on the side of the hotel across the street until 5am where it pulled up to pick up people there before coming over to the Doubletree If it cannot leave on the hour as stated, the time should be adjusted Shuttle driver left the door shut until loading all bags making us wait, before letting everyone on (although there were guests from the other hotel already on the shuttle)! Why would it matter if people are already on? I’ve seen this before at this hotel during the winter thinking it I’d appropriate to have guests wait in freezing weather to board

John Miller

First impression of my visit this past weekend (6/10/22) was that this place was going to be great The lobby was impressive and well maintained and check-in was friendly and efficient Unfortunately this trend did not continue

Once we reached the ninth floor the halls were overly warm a thermostat on the wall near the elevator stated it was 77 degrees and it remained that way our entire stay My group and I were treated to various unpleasant smells over the course of our weekend stay in the same hallway Again our first impressions of the room were great but that faded as the weekend drew on A moderate sized stain on the carpet we discovered when we moved a chair to play board games, small spots of peeling wallpaper, messy grout in the bathroom shower, incredibly dirty AC/heater vent, and mini fridge but no microwave were amongst the biggest annoyances for a room of the price range Breakfast was the biggest surprise, there was a buffet with a pretty standard spread of items like scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereal, and a fruit bar We were waved over to a table and then went to get our food, some of the items that should have been cold were room temp like the cottage cheese Imagine our surprise when the man who waved us to the table brought us checks as it was not posted anywhere or ever told to us that this was not complimentary like it is a “lower” caliber hotels After tax something like $21 per person for this buffet One of our group only had a small bowl of cereal and a glass of water Overall very disappointed

Great place to stayRooms were ample and nicely furnished, I like coffee pots that do not use pods My room had a tub, unfortunately didn’t had a chance to enjoy it

Location is unbeatable, walking distance to the outlets and very convenient shuttle service to the airportEven taking the CTA train is just a 10 minutes walk awayFront desk helped out group a lot, we had special requests and they worked hard to help usGreat place to stay, the welcome cookie is a nice touch

I stayed here fromDec5to present In that time I was able to observe the staff, cleaning, etc

There are so many people I am grateful to This is a top rate hotel! The people at the front desk are amazing In particular I want to mention Olivia who went out of her way to make me feel welcome during my very long stay She is the paragon of competence and professionalism And yet she always had time to give my dog extra attention and care The hotel is quiet and very well run The black out curtains , the pool and other amenities were much appreciated! I was here for a long stay due to the unfortunate flooding of my home I felt welcomed as a new guest each day I wish I could mention in name each person, from cleansing staff to so many others but there is not enough room for me to do so This is a wonderful and well run hotel

Jose Martinez

I stayed recently for a weekend Check in was quick and easy Front desk staff was always friendly and would greet you if possible

The only reason I’m giving this location 3 stars is for the cleanliness of the bathroom A lot of Hair in the shower Under the toilet seat there was brown marking which seemed like excrement Sink didn’t seem like it was clean

Deep Chatterjee

Good place to stay for a short trip Rooms are spacious, at least mine was I didn’t get to check out their pool or gym etc, but I heard other guests saying that it’s good

Breakfast is not included, and there is no complimentary bottled water But it’s conveniently located to cafés and restaurants Parking is around $20 a night in a parking garage adjacent to the hotel Also you can go see the lake if you walk 10-15 mins

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the last few years while visiting my brother in town Every stay has been wonderful Good breakfast

Clean rooms Great service Great location off of I-94 The only to be aware of is the lack of housekeeping during your stay at this property Since the pandemic started, housekeeping during your stay is by request only We have requested towels and/or housekeeping services during our stay, and they have already done a great job (we travel with two little kids)! We would definitely recommend this hotel to others

The hotel is lovely and the staff were very friendly The room was large, clean, and quiet The shades blocked out all the light from the parking lot which I loved

The bed and bedding was comfortable The parking is free and there were plenty of spaces My only complaint was the breakfast It was really just packaged food I would stay here again and just not get the breakfast option

My family and I stayed here for 12 nights when we were moving The suite we had was very spacious (1 bedroom with 2 queen beds, living room, kitchenette) for the 3 of us and our 2 cats The staff was always very friendly and the breakfast was good and convenient

The gym is mainly cardio machines with a few free weights and the pool was a nice addition The location was great for shopping and dining and getting to where we needed to be We were very happy with our stay!

Service was fine, and the cleanliness and sleep quality was fine as well, but this place gives off the vibes of an old hotel that has been given a fresh coat of paint, and some issues have seeped through the cracks Don’t pick this hotel if you’re looking for a classic family vacation destination, as there is no pool and no complimentary breakfast (But you can pay for breakfast items at the onsite cafe or use the fitness center that seems to have replaced what was a pool area

) Some small complaints are the lack of microwaves in the rooms and the mowing starting at 8:30am Monday morning The most inconvenient part of our stay was the poor quality of the mini fridge Not only was it impressively small, but it barely generated its own cold We had to put a bag of ice in there with our food to make sure it wouldn’t go bad, which was inconvenient due to the aforementioned lack of space

Fam stayed here for couple nights Remodeled in September On going into room picked up hand towel to dry face and saw somebody had used it as buttwipe/TP

Immediately brought it up to front desk where they continually apologizedAfter kid saw towel and pulled a face they told us they would add points to account Still haven’t seen points or heard back since checkout

First time staying in this location The hotel is beautiful, it’s clean and it’s quiet, but by far the friendliest front desk staff I have experienced to date Main reason for the review and will definitely be back

Chantil has been here every night, has greeted us, made conversation with us, remembers us and is just an all around pleasant person

Standout staff Accommodating and truly kind Rooms were fine, although both rooms I stayed in had issues with shower temp and water pressure, and multiple common areas like the bar and restaurant were under renovation

They did their best Overall this is an outstanding property under renovation to keep up the standard of service you expect from their brand A great place to stay The attached Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a game changer

I’ve been to at least 10 Renaissance hotels around the world, and this is easily the worst Renaissance hotel I’ve lived at The service was terrible There was no hairdryer when we checked in, and when I tried to call the front desk, nobody answered, so I had to come to the reception

Also, they weren’t able to provide any slippersThe buildings are quite old, and due to renovation, only half the amenities are open Sound insulation is terrible We were hearing constant door slamming and children screaming, despite us staying in a CORNER ROOM! We got woken up before 7AM on both days we stayed there The shower has very low water pressure, and it takes half an hour to do a “quick” shower There’s also no access control for the elevators, which means non hotel guests can get to any floor they want Fortunately, this neighborhood is relatively safe, so this won’t pose too much of a security riskThe only upside is the price We booked two nights for $135/night, after taxes and fees, which is a good deal for the Chicago area around the memorial weekend However, with the problems mentioned above, this hotel isn’t worth the price

CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT: We stayed here for a wedding and the room was very nice and clean However, our car, parked in the hotel lot had its catalytic converter stolen overnight Unfortunately, there are no cameras on the parking lots so the police couldn’t do anything

The GM returned my voicemail and did comp our room which was very appreciated (but not much to offset the cost of a new catalytic converter) The theft of catalytic converters is not unique to this hotel, but its proximity to 94 definitely makes it a target I personally feel like putting in cameras is an important step the hotel should take A Marriott should provide some level of security I’m a student and this financial loss is not easily absorbed Just be aware!

Just had lunch there with my daughter, grandchildren and wife outside in one of the bubbles For those of you who don’t know about the bubble, it’s an outdoor dining climate controlled bubble that fits eight people Six would be more comfortable tho

Each bubble has an electric space heater and electric wood fireplace Temperature inside was great Outdoor temperature was 39 degrees Food service is offered We had crab cakes, burgers, chicken fingers and chocolate fondue All were very tasty and hot The service was attentive and friendly This is a great concept offered during the pandemic Cheers

The staff is great my mother has Alzheimer’s and wondered out of the room at night the 3rd shift car was helped to keep my mom company and as a precaution for paramedics just to make sure it wasn’t any other issues I am thankful for them The outer doors coming from the parking lot need fixed it is an issue where you have to put the rug in the door to hold it open so you can get in and out

This hotel does offer breakfast and does have a small convenience store where you can buy chips drinks and other microwavable foods

Caleb Belrose

The room was nice, but it could’ve been cleaner There was a strand of hair and a big clump of hair on our towels There was ducks in the courtyard which was nice, but people kept stopping outside our door and talking about them which was very interrupting

We could also hear our neighbors when they talked and also when they used the bathroom: DISGUSTINGWe stayed for a week, but had a trailer on for our last night that we were assured could be parked out of the way in front of the entrance as the hotel was at high capacity and neither we nor the front desk person wanted to prevent other guests from having convenient parking However, when the night front desk person arrived at 1AM they rudely told us we had to move the trailer We had to park at the back of the hotel when our room was at the front Since we were staying for a week we had a decent amount of stuff in our room that we had to bring across the whole hotel to load back into the car Even though we used a cart and carried stuff in our hands it still took 2 trips and we were sweating from the heat Definitely not the comfortable stay we were hoping for

Ms Davis

I actually loved the room but service is everything and there were issues with front desk staff that had to be escalated to a managerThe room was clean and the bed comfy I didn’t hear other guests and loved the private balcony

Courtyards are rather well known for bar and bistro and wellthis one is lacking The hotel seemed short staffed so front desk was also bartender, barista and who knows what elseMy point is that it may be best to cut back on some services The eggs pictured were old and nearly pickled as you can see the yolks The breakfast sandwich was freezer burned but microwaved and you can see it was overheated from the photoIf you don’t care about breakfast, it’s a great room for a great price point in a peaceful environment and the pool is a nice bonus!
