Location is great, right next to the arch and within walking distance to Busch Stadium, not a ton of traffic in immediate area The hotel employees were all very nice for the most part but this hotel should not be branded a Hyatt It was dirty, towels all over the hallways, our floor had some nasty sticky patch on the carpet had to cover it with a towel

Bathrooms need updating The employees deserve a better product to sell Was not happy with check-in Get there 20 minutes before 4:00pm told no room available and when asked if I should come back in 20 minutes will it be ready, was told yes Come back in 20 minutes to be told still not ready, that they are light staffed on housekeeping (everyone is) and that they have no clue when we would get into our room We had just driven 8 hours and had a game to go to so she spoke to the manager on our behalf and a room was available Very long lines for everything – Starbucks, breakfast buffet, check-in Parking deck is gross and hot an not enough spaces to accommodate guests, very tight and small underground parking The stairwell is disgusting and they are charging like $40/night! Also, beware staying there on Cardinals game nights, the hotel will be super noisy all hours through the night Overall, even though the employees are good they cannot salvage this hotel, very disappointed in our stay overall especially for the price we paid

We ended up at the Hyatt unexpectedly & were overall happy with our experience We were able to pay $25 to check in early which was greatly appreciated after being up since 3am Our room was ok, view was awesome! The front desk staff were all super nice and helpful

My only real complaint was no extras of any kind-no makeup removing towelettes, lotion, slippers or even extra bedding Maybe it’s a theft or sustainability thing but I guess when I’m spending $300/night I expect those The pillows and bed were also a bit firm but not the worst I’ve experienced Oh, the sports bar downstairs is great! Bartender was nice and helpful

I just had my 4/30/2022 wedding at the Hyatt and it was an amazing experience! Almost all of my guests were from out of town and stayed at the Hyatt Everyone reported great experiences with their rooms and customer service here at the Hyatt In terms of the wedding, wow, Lisa Sabin is so talented at her job

She was incredibly responsive to emails, so detail oriented and organized in planning the whole wedding ceremony and reception In terms of the venue itself, the Gateway East and Terrace was everything we ever imagined for our ceremony and reception with a dance floor and ceremony that felt outside but was still inside The view of the Arch was just a bonus! Everything on our wedding day went so smoothly and I could not recommend Hyatt enough!

We had a great time This was a halfway point so we only stayed for two nights It was perfect, close to the Arch, close to a lot and plenty to do and see around the hotel itself

The kids had a blast It was not overly pricey The aquarium is small but kinda expected that They did a lot with the small space and was pleasantly surprised by how much they had to do for the kids We enjoyed our stay Staff was very helpful, easy to get lost We had some fun in the beginning finding parking but that was all

preston gustin

Absolutely beautiful hotel, bellhops and front desk attendants were every nice and helpfulThis place however for being as expensive as it is has hardly any amenities No room service, not happy hour or snack bar, breakfast not included (which the staff will lie to you about)

The pool even though it’s not open yet is in a very public place with no lounge areaI feel like this place is just pretty and made for conventions and to get you outFire and Light show was pretty decent, you can also hear it from your hotel roomsOutside of the hotel on the aquarium side is pretty cool with the koi pondAlso all of the restaurants close by 10pmIf you have kids this place may be a better stay for you

Mrs. Jacob Eubanks

What a beautiful place! Had a lovely time BUT don’t let the pics of the rooms fool you Those fancy rooms are only the ones you pay a WHOLE LOT MORE for, the suites

The regular rooms are just that Also, careful with breakfast They made it sound continental when it was actually $36 for 2 buffets A bit aggravated because the front desk made it out to be continental Overall the stay was great, and optically pleasant

What a great experience! The staff went out of their way to insure a great weekend The text concierge option was amazing If I needed something I sent a text and the team at the hotel would respond and answer in minutes

What a nice feature Our suite overlooking the ballpark was really nice One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had…and I’m a hardened business traveler

Kevin Hacker (Khacker)

I went to the Hilton at the Ballpark for a family wedding The venue was very nice

There was plenty of space for the cocktail hour, and dinner The dance floor was a pretty good size There is plenty of room for the electric slide, a beer barrel polk and a disco dance Avoid time was had by all Parking was an amenity of the wedding party Overflow parking directed to Stadium East after valley parking was full I would recommend The Hilton for sure

Matthew Himmelhaver

The first night we were moved twice due issues with our room (smell, toilet that wouldn’t shut off that flooded the room) We were finally put into a room that was less than the category room we paid for That room was dirty (dark dust stuck to the ceiling from air blowing out of AC, dust covering lamps, furniture, etc

) No one offered any apologies until check out when we asked to speak to a manager She was very kind and reduced out rate while covering parking for 2 nights Despite the room issues, we were most disappointed with the front desk staff who offered no apology or seemed concerned about the previous rooms we were placed into They seemed annoyed by us As a diamond rewards member I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties, this was by far the most disappointing Ive never asked to change rooms until this weekend, and it happened twice Great location, but a lot is lacking here Roof top bar is awesome! Breakfast at the restaurant was good

Hotel is adjacent to a rough neighborhood but you’ll have that when you stay downtown in a large city Hotel itself is gorgeous and all of the staff we met were incredibly kind and helpful I wish I’d have gotten the valets name from when we checked out – he was amazing

He was super kind to our pups and helped my hubby load the truck so we could easily continue on our adventure He also helped to check us out efficiently We will definitely stay here againOur room was well thought out, with a huge shower in the bathroom Beautiful furniture and a truly eclectic and welcoming vibe

Monica Newnam

I totally feel like I underpaid for this stay! What a nice hotel with amazing historic properties Loved the exposed ceilings and all of the Art Deco but modern touches The security was an added bonus, all the elevators needed the key card to go up to the floors

Beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was very clean The large walk in showers were just exquisite! I will say that any modern hotel I’ve stayed in lacks hooks or bars in the bathroom Only one hook and one bar in the bathroomJust so you know, there is no self parking included here There are pay lots very close or street parking but the hotel only has Valet that was $30 a day We parked on the street the first night on Sunday since it was free, but the city starts charging at 8am Monday It’s all by the Park mobile app which was easy to use

Shylah Kunick

Pros: The views are awesome! There is an obvious level of attention to detail in the artistry through the entire hotel Most of the employees I interacted with were friendly and helpful, especially Luke at the front desk! The morning of check out we hung by the pool and that was the BEST experience we had at the hotel! We got lounge chairs and enjoyed the incredible city skyline The pool water was mostly clean and refreshing in between sun bathing

Cons: check in was at 3 and we couldn’t get our room until 7pm! I’ve never experienced this before at any hotel, much less a high end place We tried to enjoy the rooftop pool and bar while we waited but it was disappointing The place was packed with day pass people There was nowhere to sit and the pool was… Incredibly dirty I think someone puked in the water or something because yikes There was only one bartender and she was out of every single drink I asked for, including the ones advertised on her chalk board… she was way overwhelmed That was a 3 person job she was doing aloneRedeemed: after waiting for two hours upstairs, we finally came down to the lobby bar They comped our drinks, two each, while down there waiting for another hour They comped our valet, $30 also They still couldn’t get our room by 7 so they gave us an “upgrade” which took our regular king room to one with a sitting space We didn’t need that but we were glad to finally have access to a room to freshen up and unwind in!I can only assume the hotel is seriously understaffed right now, causing the struggles we experienced This seems to be a common problem these days, though Hopefully they can get it figured out because I think we would have really enjoyed the hotel otherwise!

Excellent hotel! First time we have stayed with them and really was impressed The room was clean and tidy when we arrived The staff were great and the breakfast was fantastic! They even had a thing called dinner and drinks in the evening

Really enjoyed the stay Had to cut our vacation short and they were great helping us check out early

Becky Vickrey

This is THE BEST hotel! We came for Spring Break We were 17 minutes from Downtown and literally just off the interstate So, let’s talk about how amazing the staff here is

Man They were engaging with my kids The manager was very visible – not just sitting in an office The first night they were booked solid and they let us know that it would probably be busy for food The food served was amazing Always fresh and hot The servers were continually checking to make sure things weren’t low Everyone greeted us in the hall Maintenance workers, housekeeping staff, it made no difference I heard many say they love being here That says so much about the management I would go out of my way to stay here again

Kaitlyn Davies

A very nice hotel! I enjoyed my stay Fridges were a little small, I couldn’t put a leftover styrofoam box in without taking out the shelves and using them to keep the box from opening fridge door

Room and other parts of hotel smelled funky Kind of like a wet mold The food and the complimentary bar were great! Staff was very nice

i’m a truck driver and broke down in the area the company i work for put me overnight here during a repair the room was very clean, tidy, and comfortable

the bed was a tad firm in my opinion but nothing that would deter me nice hot shower, fantastic breakfast in the morning and a friendly staff check in and out was quick and easy and lots of places to eat within walking distance if you’re in the area, stay at the comfort inn

Mynah Howard

*writing this review on behalf of a family member*Was staying here for work, & they have taken over $2000 out of my bank account when our room was paid for up front Even after leaving this hotel, they decided to take over $1000 out again, and have told me they can’t “give it back” and that it’s just a “pending” charge? The money is not in my bank account, therefore it is not a “pending” charge Ridiculous

Absolutely do not stay here or you will get robbed Contacting corporate now

Had a very memorable service experience here passing through town & booking a room last minute for a discounted rate Unfortunately they were very booked when we arrived & had run out of non smoking rooms (attached to a casino), I wasn’t looking forward to staying in a smoking room so they kindly arranged for me to stay in an upgraded suite that was non smoking The suite was spacious, comfortable, & had a great view

Ordered an amazing crab Cobb salad from room service and had a chance to unwind for a few hours Wouldn’t hesitate to return when I’m in the area Thank you!

I had booked a hotel yesterday for my girlfriend’s bday We enjoyed the Cinder House The only thing we didn’t like were the front desk staff

They were rude and not welcoming I called down and asked where can I find the room snack prices because there wasn’t a menu The lady said she wasn’t sure and asked someone else She then said she’ll bring one up I never received one Then I realized the snack part wasn’t stocked and beverages were missing I called to let them know that and the phone wasn’t answered Two different housekeepers came in at separate times to clean the room, both said they didn’t know anyone had the room and apologized One asked if I needed towels I said yes because the shelve was nearly empty It made me question if the room was completely put together after that, because we had to wait for our room to be cleaned in the first place I then told them about the snack compartment being nearly empty They told me someone would come When that person came they asked me why didn’t I call down I said I did and no one answered We later went downstairs and the ladies had an attitude It was obvious they ignored the phone call My girlfriend had a great time I just wish the front desk people had better customer service skills

Aaron Madden

The hotel is beautiful The design, smell, and architecture is something to see The service not so much

All of the people were very friendly but some of them lacked knowledge They don’t seem to have control over the parking garage as my girlfriend and I waited for 45 minutes to get an attendant in the booth to let us in Amenities and space of the room are amazing You won’t find that in many hotels in STL The food was decent but you would expect higher quality with such prices Again, the service was amazing and they made sure to keep up their customer service I would go back but I’ll try to find something better before I commit

Doug Perkerson

This is a beautiful property just off Washington in downtown St Louis Tiny elevators that will just hold two people and the luggage trolley Our room was large and looked just like the picture on the Google link

Everything in the room was functional I was happy with the bed but my wife said it was too soft The only complaints that I have was the view of the neighbors AC units and the fact that there was only one trashcan in the roomWe ate breakfast in the hotel on both days we were there It was delicious and not like typical hotel breakfastThe staff were very courteous and helpful at every turn

Paul Miller

Excellent from the start! They gave a treat bag for both of our dogs Had an area for them to relieve themselves super close by! Even had bags stocked on the trash can Room was spacious & super nice

They have pretty much everything you need inside their hotel & are also centrally located! We will 100% return Also I have to mention how absolutely friendly and helpful the guy at the front desk was

Joyce Hansen

The lobby and entire downstairs was very welcoming and beautiful The hotel has such historic features, primarily seen in the rooms Our room was very cute, I wish it felt more clean, there were handprint stains on the light switches and dusty areas

The bed was nice and comfortable and we slept great The location is great, we were about a 15 minute walk from the arch and food and coffee was a block or so away Staff was nice, helpful and the happy hour in the evening of cookies and milk for the kids was a huge plus!

I had a weekend getaway for my granddaughters and we all were VERY happy with the stay First of all the cookies are to die for My mouth is drooling now on the keyboard just thinking about them

The girls swam and slept like logs on the comfy bed in the room Sunday morning Porter’s the adjoining restaurant had a buffet breakfast filled with high quality tasty food both hot and cold Not to forget the Starbucks coffee or assortment of teas available Kudos to Kiele who provided top notch assistance in helping me at Porters We will return and I will probably fast first so I won’t feel guilty about eating the great cookies and Porters steak

Brittany Piggee

Property not maintained as well as it should’ve been Trash cans outside the hotel were full to capacity, sidewalks cracked, baseboards were filthy, lighting was horrible, chair in room had a white stain on it (kinda scared to know what it was), headboards were peeling, and the front desk clerk wasn’t very friendly If this place put more time and effort into the hotel’s rooms and hallways as they did in the front lobby, it would be 10x better

It’s definitely time for an upgrade The only thing that was comfortable was the bed We had initially planned to stay three nights, but quickly changed our minds once we saw the hotel and all of its flaws

Vanessa Shackelford

They gave us warm cookies and cold water at the front desk when we checked in The guy that checked us in was honestly really pretentious about us checking in 5 minutes earlier than what we said online Our first room was disappointing for the price we were paying

It didn’t have a refrigerator or a microwave (Personal complaint; all the soaps have lavender in them so I couldn’t use any of it because I’m allergic to lavender) the fan in the air conditioner was broke so it only got more hot in the room They did upgrade us to a room with a couch and fridge/microwave with working air conditioning but the unit was so loud that it woke us up every time it kicked on throughout the night Morning staff was much more pleasant than evening staff Also poor drainage in both bathrooms

Bri Berens

This hotel is spectacular We came into town to visit the baseball stadium and stayed in one of the suites, and it was one of the more impressive rooms we’ve stayed in during our travels Although it may be loud for some, we loved the energy just outside our window from the game

The location is prime We traveled with two young children and to be able to go in and out of the stadium with the hotel right there was a lifesaver We were also able to be a part of the fun from our balcony or just steps outside of the hotel for games we weren’t going to The accommodations are clean, modern, and spacious and everything in our room was top notchMy only complaints are that this location is hard to get to when they block of streets for baseball games, the front desk said police usually let guests bypass the cones but it was a bit stressful to find our way Also, the hotel put over $1,000 in holds on my card in addition to the full cost of the room, our parking, and our restaurant bill I think it will end up not clearing and the front desk said not to worry about it, but I’ve never had additional holds for close to 100% of our room rate put on my card I’ll be keeping an eye on the pending transactions to make sure they don’t clear as the host assured me they wouldn’tIf we are ever in St Louis again, we would absolutely consider this hotel again Thanks for the memories!

Shaleitha Kohliem

The hotel is gorgeous Spacious and clean I love the restaurant options in the hotel

The hustle and bustle of St Louis, it’s nice not to leave out We had the sweetheart special with the sparkling wine, truffles, and 2:00 pm check out, well worth the money However, I didn’t enjoy the stay because we also paid extra for a city view and our view was a parking garage This may be because the hotel is only 8 stories high Very disappointing

T Clark

If you’re attending a Cardinal’s game, this is the place to stay You cannot get any closer to the stadium Valet parking is quick and easy

Front desk associates were very helpfulYou’re also within easy walking distance to the Arch and City GardenIf you’re staying on a game night, you will be able to hear the noise of the game (we were on the stadium side) I personally liked it, but it is not for everyoneI’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the pillows were not comfortable We only stayed in the room to sleep, and with uncomfortable pillows, it was enough to impact the rating Everything else was great though

This place was great! My niece hosted a small birthday party here that went very well It was easy getting the girls ready for the pool The pool had access to a restroom across the hall, which we all know how that can go if the restroom isn’t close

Rachel made us feel right at home by being welcoming all while ensuring that we stayed within the guidelines of guest policies I appreciate it when someone in customer service can go above and beyond, maintain their composure, and keep safety in mind Thank you for helping make my niece’s day special

Seth Nichols

Clean rooms, but nothing special The service was excellent Everyone at the front desk was very polite and helpful

Even the cleaning crew was kind and respectful of privacy The location isn’t good if you’re trying to do/see anything interesting easily There’s a Circle K within walking distance and other than that, it’s just off the highway A good 20 minutes to downtown

Jennifer Tab

I usually stay at Holiday inn, it’s reasonable, I’m a member and it’s usually really clean This one was no exception You won’t be disappointed

They may be a little short staffed but everything looks good, the staff are friendly and very courteous The only reason I’m giving it four stars and not five is because breakfast is so expensive But I’ll be back since it’s kind of close to where we need to go when in town, lots of restaurants and shipping nearby

The room was spacious, clean and fit us well for the evening Continental breakfast the next morning, super full of options (eggs, muffins, turkey sausage, pork sausage, waffle bar, boiled eggs, cereal, biscuits, gravy and probably more but we can only eat so much with our eyes) Basin, who was the staff gentleman attending the area, was very helpful to us and kept a very clean breakfast area (big kudos) I had some help finding the ice machine from another staff member but missed her name Thank you to everyone who helped make our stay super awesome for such a short time Oh and Russell was also helpful via phone call when we were on the road and realized the pool was closed, SUPER BUMMER Totally the place to go, location was great and very close to BEAUTIFUL CHURCHES!!!!!

The staff was amazing and accommodating Rooms were good size Very clean place

One woman (usually there in the mornings, a bit older) had some rudeness but other than her, everyone else was very pleasantNow on to the Breakfast staff these are the kindest people I’ve ever met They will go above and beyond for you They work hard and they really treat you like a family member Awesome folks and good food

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any room They compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in the area

I’ve been coming here for a long time If you decide to stay here you definitely won’t regret itIf I could give this place 100 stars, I would I just spent the past week here while my husband has been hospitalized at St Louis University They offer discounted rates for situations like mine The staff are some of the friendliest people in the world, the cooks are loving people, and the atmosphere has been so comforting for someone in my position I will be back next week and I look forward to it It’s a clean hotel as well, very accommodating I can’t say enough good things about my stay here A++++

I really want to love this place and think that I can if I overlook a couple of things The service was great The hostess was friendly, professional, and had a perfect smile

Bright hallways and lobby area I loved the refrigerator, hot plate, sink and kitchen accessories in the roomThe room seemed cleanat first However, the shower seems as though it is never scrubbed Mildew and slimy floors testify to thatWe enjoyed the workout facility and the pool Then in the evening, we went to take showers and noticed that the bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke I told the problem to the hostess to which she promptly responded by providing us another room That room was clean, though it had a bathtub as suppose to a shower The A/C unit made a loud grinding/groaning soundI do plan on returning and giving the whole experience a second chance

Everything about this hotel was great The staff was super friendly from the get go and the room was beautiful We first started out in a hotel in St Louis and it was disgusting; stains on the sheets, drunk people everywhere, and a ~nasty~ shower (just to name a few things)

So that combined with a huge commute confirmed we had to leave, I called around and this hotel stuck out to me It was so much nicer and the pricing is so good for the quality They loved my doggie I brought with me and they gave no trouble to us at all Best decision of my life to move to this hotel I’ll be coming back to Illinois for no other reason other than this place Thank you TownePlace Suites!

I am a rewards member who feels when l redeemed points l should get the same level of service as l received when paying for my roomThat happened here as l was allowed to mobile key so front desk discrimination is removed and l feel a person is not placing me because l don’t look like themThis is the BEST room l have ever been placed in & my request of a high floor was honored

Thank GOD🧡

Wow! The location is super awesome and feels safe (even at night, when I stopped late) The staff is very nice, the rooms are clean, it’s gorgeous inside the hotel, and I felt compelled to walk around even after a full day of driving I could walk into the room without feeling the need to have extra cleaning service, and I felt at ease

I love this place! Definitely stay here I’ll definitely stay in another Drury

Scott Rektenwald

This place was excellent It worked perfectly for our family of 4 Loved all the extras: breakfast, kickback (let’s be honest this is a full meal besides desert), sodas, drinks, popcorn, and more

Pool was great We enjoyed every minute of our stay One of the elevators was broken during most of our stay But not a big deal Just took longer with things like luggage carts

Sabrina Slonim

Beautiful place The property is clean and seems safe Large, well-lit parking lot

Staff is very friendly and accommodating The rooms and beds are clean and comfortable We stayed in a 2 room suite which was HUGE The only thing I could even try to complain a out was the blow dryer only had low speed Dinner, 3 drinks, and breakfast is offered for each night of your stay Pets are welcome!!! I would stay again in a heartbeat

Great view of the St Louis Arc with a beautiful outside Be aware that parking is not included in your per-night stay

For us it was an extra $15 a day They do provide a great breakfast but the cleaners could do a better job on the room While pulling out the pullout couch we were surprised to find candy, hair, and crackers that were left behind from a previous stay Other than that everything was amazing!

Lavender Litondo

I loved the hotel and it’s close proximity to the ferris wheel and aquarium Also it was not too far from the gateway arch

My only dissatisfaction was upon arrival, being informed about the parking garage fee It would have been nice if that had been disclosed on the hotel’s website while booking the hotel so as not to incur a surprise extra cost upon arrival

penny pincher

Stayed 3 nights The rooms are clean The service was helpful

The breakfast is take out and not kitchen cooked buffetThe parking is EXTREMELY limited Keep that in mind because street parking is only free on the weekendEach night that I could not find parking, I let the front desk know and they removed the fee

Great bar, great front desk staff, very safe, great location Great valet folks–huge hustle by everyone! No room service Absolutely no coffee on a holiday (July 4) unless you walk a block away to Roosters

Housekeeping might consider using a checklist when they close up a room and call it ready We checked in to Room 1518 on Saturday July 2 The automatic dispenser in the shower was empty, the clock was unplugged and the carpet between the beds was sticky like someone spilled a soda Also there was no backup roll of toilet paper I would think a hotel supervisor would check a room or a housekeeper would use a checklist Very easy to fix For this reason and the lack of coffee/room service we won’t stay here again

We were there for a Church Convention and there was this really nice waiter name Orlando He was always right there doing his job, very caring and attentive to the customers He was never rude even when he had to ask us to move to another area with our door dash food

I’ve told everyone about him and if they go there ask for him He’s personality and professionalism handle all of the negativity he received Orlando is a perfect fit for Management position The rooms were old but nice, no microwave and no free parking I’m not used to dealing with that at a Marriott GRAND????

Rachel Rowan

Very pretty Updated And the most social lobby / bar I have ever been to

Very loud But did not transfer to other areas of the hotel Rooms were very nice and comforting while gone for work weekly No water in room like most Marriott’s so that was different Enjoyed the staff – one guy both nights with an overflowing bar area Great job guys!

The staff is so welcoming and amazingly nice! The hotel is clean and very homey! When the front desk is manned by Jay and Dave there’s always going to be a smile on your face! Honestly they are the nicest people i have ever met! My family was in a tough spot (we had mold in our house and couldn’t stay in it any longer due to the fact our 2 and 3 year old babies got extremely sick) Jay went out of his way to make sure we had a good rate that would give us the opportunity to stay somewhere until we found more permanent housing They are always there to help with anything they can or just have a lighthearted and fun conversation! In this dark time we are lucky to have found comfort and sunshine! Thank you so much!

This was a great hotel in its price point The room was clean, pool was nice and warm, breakfast was a great free extra and had a good variety and was good But the thing that really left me wanting to leave a review was the awesome staff

The management must be doing a fantastic job training and creating a welcoming environment, because not just one but all of the staff members we encountered were so warm and welcoming and made me want to use this hotel again in the future

When checking in, we were told the room was marked occupied When checked it was not, however it was extremely hot The air conditioner was then turned on and set to 60

We checked in after midnight, as we were traveling and only planned to sleep, then hit the road againMy husband and I were exhausted as we worked all day, then hit the road to get this far, before getting a good night sleep Well, neither of us had a good night sleepWhen checking out the next morning, I reported it and was told, with the construction going on in our hotel, we are limited on king rooms so you were probably given a room that the air conditioner had problemsMy daughter used to manage a hotel, and she told me that was probably why it was marked occupied (So we were knowingly given a room with no air)We would have gladly taken any size room with working air conditioning, had we have been offered, rather than suffocating waiting for the room to cool downCost us $12067I typically do not leave bad reviews, I don’t like to leave bad reviews, we are business owners ourselves and we know that never goes awayBut in this case, our $12067 was more important than our comfort
