The Maldonado’s

Great location and amenities Morton’s is one of my favorites, and they are located in many nice hotels like this one Make sure you visit on the evening

Our tour had breakfast arrangements, missed the eggs on the last two mornings of the trip To their credit, staff was kind, attentive and accommodating Starbucks in the house too (for those Cafe lovers like us) Safe “business” area, and parking is just around the corner Modern feel with plenty to do around the hotel

It’s a good business hotel, quiet standard, could be any brand really Pros and cons below:PROS:Large spacious room with nice expansive views onto the main street, gets good light during the day Comfy bed

There’s a desk to work at if need be Nice staff at the hotel, very accommodating and caring Very clean, good observation of covid rules etc Food served during the event was good too, tasty, good temperature- I recommend the current kitchen staff can certainly cater for breakfast tooAreas to IMPROVE:No breakfast, no pool/spa; the air in the hotel was so dry most event delegates were complaining about difficulty to sleep at night, myself included – I strongly recommend to get lots and lots of green plants, maybe install some air humidifiers for the winter months The shower head was full of limescale – need to check those details and replace Maybe add a picture(s) in the room, some softer interior details – interior now looks so sterile, plain

We visited DC for leisure, and we felt that this hotel was the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and value Driving in from out of town, it was easy to get to this hotel by car, and the Metro stop made it easy to get to all the big sights around the capital Our rooms were clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable

Yes, you have to pay for breakfast here, but there are tons of options nearby, including several in the lobby I was perfectly happy with Starbucks and Dunkin; my husband and his parents sought fancier eats in the morning The only bummer was that there’s no pool and hot tub But still I’d give the place a full five stars because we were truly satisfied with this hotel

My Insurance company made housing arrangements while work was being performed on my home We stayed here for a month and a half The staff was outstanding from the front desk to housekeeping

It was me, my son and my daughter The room had a fold out bed which my son could use and my daughter took the other room I had the master bedroom with the attached bathroom The kids used the other bathroom with a tub A little wear and tear on the unit but overall it was clean We used the gym, pool, and basketball court I would have given 5 stars but took away a star due to the cabinet door coming off in the kitchen area

Jack Ryan

The room was well laid out and spacious I was left alone, and they had an ok breakfast They get a lower rating because they don’t deal with disruptive guests after a complaint is made

I had to deal with the room above me banging around for several hours because they were, “working out”, while I was trying to type up a report Next time tell them that you have a workout room

K K

Very disappointing Despite being gold elite, we didn’t receive our upgrade We had only three towels despite reserving the room for 4 people

The bathroom door won’t lock, won’t even latch closed The room was not feather free like we requested because of an allergy, so at 9:30 at night I called and asked for feather free pillows and we were told we had to go to the front desk to get pillows However, most of the time there’s an away sign at the front desk The subway station is not a short walk like they advertise After being Marriott members for over a decade this was definitely one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had

It was an awesome time that we had at the Homewood Suites as we celebrated a family gathering and the atmosphere was conducive for this event The front desk staff was attentive and even funny as they made it a greater experience The quality of the upkeep was well worth the time of enjoying this space

So if you are in the DC area and you don’t mind maneuvering all of the 95s in the vicinity then give this location of Homewood Suites a stay!

Lon Woodruff

I called the front desk early, themorning after my stay, to extend myroom for one more night and the front desk confirmed When I returned to my room that evening and used my key to enter my room, all my belongings were gone Front desk said they had given my room to another guest

The manager would not respond byphone or text to the front desk person in charge at that time After competing in a sporting event any being too tired to drive home, I was lefttrying to find another hotel for the night

Mr.&Mrs. Keesee

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in When I checked in the room was not ready and it took 2 additional hours to get into the room while awaiting it to be cleaned 3 hours after my check in When we finally got into the room there were no wash clothes and was told there were none available

There was dried pee on the toilet seat The staff were rude and unprofessional The mattress cover was being used as the comforter I’m assuming because they didn’t have those either There were no options for people who do not eat pork for breakfast They ran out of syrup for the waffles 2 hours before breakfast was finished

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your hotel They compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of my favorites in the area

I’ve been staying here for years If you choose this place you definitely will love it I’m sure! Our family has celebrated many special occasions at this property The entire staff, especially Nicole, are the absolute best! They always remember us and provide the most impeccable care during our visits! I highly recommend this property, the ambiance and amazing staff ensure we always return!

I would highly recommend the Four Seasons in Georgetown The staff is so amazing and the Concierges is out of this world They helped us get tickets to all the places that we wanted to go around town and went above and beyond on places that didn’t have availability to try to get us tickets

Also the rooms are incredible! I can’t say enough about the service and the quality of the hotel

Betsy Juhasz

My daughter’s wedding was at the Four Seasons I have never had such exceptional service The food was beyond amazing, and the attention to detail was perfect

The Four seasons took care of every detail so we were able to show up and enjoy Every member of staff was professional, polite, and top notch I can’t thank them enough for making this the most beautiful wedding we’ve ever been to

Hotel was great The breakfast was dynamite Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful

Good location My only issue was that some of the guests were being too comfortable I noticed several times various guests walking around the lobby and restaurant without shoes or even barefooted One lady was walking around the main lobby with only a robe What happened to “No shoes, No shirt, No service”

Sean Roche

Staying in a hotel with young children can be tough, but we found Embassy Suites to be perfect for us The rooms have tables large enough to eat on and (obviously in the hotel chain’s name) have a living space that closes off from the bedroomThe pool/hot tub area was great (but slippery – be careful!) And included continental breakfast + happy hour make for an easy day while exploring DC

Already plan on returning next year

TGKawikachu

Honestly, this hotel turned out to be everything I expected, except for one MAJOR caveat Service was fine, except room service did walk in on us with barely any warning Here is the most concerning part

I enter the hotel with no bug bites, and then I wake up with FIVE! The fact that this hotel can’t even keep bed bugs out of their sheets will discourage me from ever staying here again The rest of the room wasn’t all too clean either We found a forgotten pacifier in the bedroom area, and the bathroom floors and counters were all sticky If you want to have confidence in your room’s cleanliness, DON’T go to this hotel Spend your money elsewhere

I stayed four days at the Darcy at Logan Circle The photos on the official website matched my room exactly and I was surprised at how large the standard room with city view was I am extremely happy with my stay

The staff at the front desk are so wonderful, polite and attentive, I felt so special every time I entered Even the door attendants are superb They all had wonderful attitudes The bathroom is a tad small but it’s aesthetically pleasing The bed was very comfortable and clean, I enjoyed my sleep here very much They only issue I had was housekeeping, which is why I only gave 4 stars You must request housekeeping which is fine but they almost never came, even after calling 3 times, and when they did it was late in the evening after I had called again When guest check into a hotel this is their chance to be taken care of and this is where the Darcy fell short I found myself cleaning up, making my own bed, and gathering trash, also calling for fresh towels and soap which weren’t delivered because housekeeping didn’t come This was honestly the only issue Other than that I enjoyed my stay and would like to return in the future because I frequent DC and it is within walking distance of all the attractions I even walked to capital hill one day with no issue and it was so fun The walk score is definitely a 10, as well as the atmosphere and staff They also have complimentary drinks for half and hour on certain days which is such a nice touch The housekeeping service is the only issue The housekeepers are so nice and thorough but it’s simply getting them to come that’s the issue Other than that this hotel would get 5 stars I hope that if return that they have this sorted out!Lastly, definitely order room service, you will not regret it I’m leaving a separate review for Gerrad Street Kitchen, which blew my socks off!

Ashleigh Caldwell

First off, the staff here is wonderful Very friendly staff and they made sure that guests were well taken care of The ambiance of the hotel was lovely

Even the restaurant on site was great The food and the staff were wonderful Giving 4 stars because the bathroom in my room was smaller than I would have liked Overall I would definitely visit again

Meredith Bird

The rooms and bathrooms are quite small, but the front desk was pleasant when we checked in and the decor was nice The walls are very thin, we could hear the guests next to us having a party until about 1am (we stayed up late too so we didn’t bother complaining to the front desk) There was no menu for the restaurant in my room, and no breakdown of the costs involved with ordering room service, so be sure you confirm that before you pay twice the price of the food in fees, taxes, and more fees

We stayed at TownePlace Suites for more than 15 weeks I would like to say that this was thus far the best hotel stay experience we have had The hotel is clean, has great amenities, and has free continental breakfast

But, the staff at this hotel makes the stay more enjoyable Mr Tilahun, the general manager, was very courteous, helpful, professional, and attentive to his guests need He made sure we enjoyed our stay One of the engineers, Andrew, was exceptionally welcoming and always said: “If you need anything, we are here for you” which meant a lot to us The housekeepers did a fantastic job keeping our room and hotel neat All of the staff we encountered displayed warm and welcoming smiles every time The front desk staff was professional and helpful Ms Sherry especially treated us like family We miss her warm and caring personality This hotel is under great leadership We have enjoyed our stay We highly recommend TownePlace Suites!

Danielle Pierre

This is definitely one of the nicer hotels in this price range in the area I stayed at some of the cheaper locations and I would really suggest paying a few dollars more to stay here The staff were amazing and friendly

The room was clean and nice It also has a kitchen in it if you want to save a little money from eating out This is so close to the Greenbelt Metro station, it’s really convenient It has free onsite parking I would definitely recommend this place!

Taylor Namm

Hotel was nice and very convenient for my business trip but the management is a joke for sure I checked in Friday and per the manager the front desk did not turn in my room to get cleaned so i was initially checked into a dirty room Was told that they were booked and she’d she what she could do and thankfully found me another room but the new room smelt like cigarettes/weed and covered with perfume

But i took the room with fear of not being able to be accomadate and had to get up early for training the next morning So I was told to call management Monday (today), so i did and asked for either comp’d stay or half off and told me no because i didn’t check out after staying one night I had my training all weekend (every where else was full due to this) so i had no options but to stay He refused to help me Their mess up because my inconvenience at a price which is very unprofessional

We had a lovely time staying at the Melrose in Washington Could not recommend this hotel more highly Beautiful, clean rooms with very comfortable beds, housekeeping service daily with new towels, quality soaps and very quiet

The entire hotel is gorgeous- felt like a luxury hotel, but for an affordable price And it’s located in a perfect area of Washington, a walk away from the big monuments, but not in a loud, touristy neighbourhood The restaurant is open for breakfast, and the Brioche French Toast is delicious! Sofiane is an amazing server- very professional, attentive and made us feel so welcomed He is amazing at his job the Melrose is lucky to have him Julio is very kind and friendly There is also a bar open at night which is fun to visit after a long day walking around the sites of DC! Overall a wonderful stay at the Melrose, and we will definitely return here when we’re in Washington again!

Sara García

The hotel staff were very helpful and polite throughout our whole stay (5 days, 4 nights) The room we got was nice and clean and had a nice view of the area There were some nice places to eat within walkable distance and it is in close proximity to public transport for places further away

The area is pretty safe – we felt perfectly fine walking around during very late hours on our first night in DCThere’s a Whole Foods nearby in case you need to grab something random during your stay and a coffee shop right next door if you need to start your day with some caffeine We walked the 4 blocks to the subway each morning on our way to the more touristy destinations of our itinerary in the National Mall

Kylie Kirk

Had a lovely stay at this hotel – a glorious king bed in a spacious room with great linens The hotel feels very upscale, loved the morning coffee station as well as the fruit water hydration area The cherry on the top was fantastic service from Myra at the front desk, who we had a delightful conversation with and made us feel welcome

Would stay again!

Disappointing Can hear the highway from the room, and they supposedly didn’t have any other rooms to offer us Definitely not worth the price

Rooms should be soundproofed better Mediocre— nice Marriott at best Probably could have spent $200 less and stayed at a hotel just as nice, and way quieterThe lobby is adorable and homey feeling Service was great Location is great

Alyssa Glorioso

I had the pleasure of working with the director of catering, Liliana Klein, on a gorgeous wedding this past weekend I was the couple’s planner and was thrilled to be able to produce a wedding at Ritz Carlton Georgetown Throughout the process, Liliana was the consummate professional: warm and welcoming, communicative, addressed any and all questions, followed up after any meetings promptly, and on the day was FANTASTIC to work with

I could tell it was a high priority of Liliana to go above and beyond for the couple in making their wedding weekend a dream experience for them and an effortless celebration for their guests Would work here for every wedding if I could! Plus, gatherings of 70-90 are my favorite!! Thank you, Liliana and RC staff

Patty Arvielo

I’m sorry but hope that my review helps when making a decision on what hotel to book This is a 3 star hotel at best, it appears as though it is a Marriott not a Ritz Carlton For a better choice book the Four Seasons Georgetown

I have an Exec Suite , the furniture is stained and old, the mini bar has absolutely nothing in it Just not a 5 star hotel

Excellent location only minutes to Rosslyn Metro station About an 8-10 minute walk Starbucks and Safeway are very close and within walking distance

Nice neighborhood I got a one bedroom, and it was perfect for our family of 4 Rooms are spacious and comfortable The staff was accommodating and friendly to any needs we had I will stay again

Endeavor Aerial Photography (Endeavor UAS)

We spent two nights at this Residence Inn and would definitely stay there again It’s located very conveniently to the Rosslyn Metro station as well as a Target store and Starbucks (if the need arises) As some of the other reviews mentioned, the hotel is showing its age in many cases

Chipped paint on the doors, the metal trim was peeling from the light fixture, and some other assorted things However, the room was clean and was ready for us even with an early arrival The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent Again, I would not hesitate to stay at this location again

Stayed for 2 weeks due to work Decent RI Older building could use an update soon

TVs are probably from 12 years ago and the streaming services struggled to keep up if they played at all Thankfully there was a hard wired connection I could connect my computer to and watch moviesParking garage underneath, $25 a dayStaff were greatWalkable to some restaurants but mainly business type sandwich and taco shopsStandard breakfast each morning

Hotel was in a good location with wonderful service Main entrance doors locked at night the lot across the street only charged $30 for overnight parking instead of the $50 the hotel charges

Poor wifi however, and the shower door kept sliding open while in the shower Also, even though we noted that 4 will be staying, we were given a room for 2: toiletries, towels, no sheets for the sleeper couch, silverware and plates and cups… they do have good service though and although it took a few calls, everyone was very friendly and helpful

Overall my stay was enjoyable The College Park Holiday Inn was located in a great area not to far off I-95 Ext

on Ikea Way and yes it shares a parking lot with Ikea The hotel has a Bar and Restaurant both reasonably priced Their breakfast buffet is very fulfilling and kids eat free That was a plus! Although I didn’t get a opportunity to use the pool, they did have a indoor pool in Tower One The staff were all very friendly My room was clean as well I definitely recommend this as a place to stay when visiting the area

Kala Twigg

Front desk staff were kind & tried to help as much as they could But this hotel is disgusting Not clean

Whole first tower smells like water damage My lungs & throat have been killing me Was contemplating staying extra days Definitely not now Moved rooms because the first definitely smelled of animals Children were complaining of that And water damage The elevators smell like urination And there is dust & dirt in every crevice Not to mention a very strange encounter at “free breakfast” which we wound up paying for I will be beyond grateful to be HOME (We originally wanted to stay at Hilton… it was having some Reno issues so they suggested we shop nearby, sad this is where we chose) Id venture to say the water/sprinkler system went off multiple times at some points in the past The carpets reek of water/mildew Convenient to the highway But … save your money people Drive elsewhere

Dan Royea

I really enjoyed my stay here Staff was very friendly and helpful Hotel was very clean no matter what area I was in, either my room, at the pool and in the elevator

I really enjoyed the color changing water wall (be sure to check it out) And this is the first hotel I’ve been to that has a doorbell for every room How cool is that? Plus the ring around the button changes red for do not disturb (also shuts off doorbell function) and green if you want your room cleaned Nice indoor pool Also has a nice restaurant/bar Outside was just as clean as the inside was It’s 30 minutes from the White House and 20 minutes away from the airport I highly recommend staying here if your in the area

Staff were friendly and helpful Valet offered to keep Tesla charged overnight which was great! The room was THE quietest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in (no HVAC noise at all) Bed was comfortable, bathroom nice although some paint bubbling in ceiling

The rooftop spa and bar looked amazing but too cold to enjoy Deducted a star for value, was very expensive and just didn’t quite deliver what I felt it should at that price

The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities The pool is the size of two hot tubs

Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel I had to go grocery shopping They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor…and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar The room is incredibly small and the bathroom hard to manage in its size The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus More accurately this is a brick wall view There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals The fitness facility is a really big disappointment-I’ve had to find a gym to go work out at So I’ve had to leave the premises for food, workout, spa services…It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade

I stayed here for a week on a school trip and it was great Our group was well accommodated, and the staff were all very helpful The rooms were really nice and clean, and there was a whole kitchenette and a balcony

It was also within walking distance of a lot of other cool destinations I had a great time at this hotel and I would definitely recommend

I reserved a hotel room for my fiance’s birthday We had a very pleasant stay The staff greeted us warmly and were very accommodating

They even upgraded our room for free! The room was very spacious, like a 1 bedroom apartment, with an attached balcony There was a decently stocked kitchen attached This is a pet friendly hotel, and a dog bed and bowls were provided at no additional charge The gentleman at the front desk even offered to walk our puppy for us There is a hospital close by, and the noises that come with that, and just DC noise in general, but they offer ear plugs, sleep masks and white noise machines The bed was comfortable Wifi was complimentary (a bit slow at times tho) Overall, I would stay here again

Check in was smooth The clerk acknowledged me as an UHG Rewards member and that I had booked with points I was given a room on the 8th floor which is great

I do not like low floor rooms The bed and bathroom was super clean 👌 Great night sleep and the breakfast was good I would recommend this hotel and would stay again! No complaints at all

I can’t speak highly enough about the staff, management and service! Not only is this hotel clean, updated and in a great location, but it’s well-run hotel, the team here doesn’t take anything lightly All concerns were addressed immediately and they were most helpful and compassionate when I experienced a personal emergency The front desk, maintenance and management were all very kind and I will never forget my experience here! Highly recommend, will be returning! Thank you~

Check in was smooth, I arrived earlier then the schedule and they were able to find me a room The room was clean overall, but had a couple of missing things here and there With a simple phone to the service desk they were able to get it

Daily housekeeping service, the housekeepers are wonderful and honestly that’s why I put the 4 stars It’s all for the housekeepers! Full kitchen is provided, location is great The gym is alright, only dumbbells and cardio (not expecting anything more) Overall great! Front desk staff were also great

Place a bit weird 4th floor is probably under construction because the hallway is not air conditioned, super hot during the day and smell like rodents and have a few wall coverings taped in place by masking tape and a part of the hallway curtained off and that where the heat is coming fromThe rooms are quite nice and AC works

Clean bathroom Although the toilet is super high and you feel like a perching eagle with feet dangling (I am 5’10”) Pillows are of 2 varieties – feather and synthetic Decent mattress as wellThere is even a little balcony with a nice view onto the inner patioThe pool is closed due to some regulation from 2020 Gym is open 24 hrs with free weights, 2 treadmills and an elliptical Towels, disinfectant wipes and chilled water machine make it a nice experience working outBar is closed

California Dreaming

After being on the road for 4 hours I arrived to the hotel 35 minutes before the 3pm check in time I went inside to ask if I could possibly check in early (you have to be buzzed in) and as soon as the door opens the lady at the front desk yells across the lobby “if you’re here to check in check in time isn’t until 3pm” I understand rules are made to be followed, I get it, but I would have appreciated a little professionalism on her part to at least pretend to want to accommodate me even if the result (me having to wait 35 minutes to check in) was the same

So I go outside and wait until 3pm to come back to a very rude check in process (by the same lady) I was already turned off by my experience with the front desk only to open the door to a room that was subpar especially for the price I paid (there was a concert going on at the FedEx Field so I’m hoping that’s why the prices were inflated) The bed was springy and lacked support or cushion, the pillows were flat, and my comforter was dingy and stained The shower is VERY small (tub/shower combo) and had hair in it My mirrors had what I assume to be toothpaste splattered on it I explored the area and ended up checking into another hotel nearer to the concert venue that had a very polite staff and the hotel and rooms were a lot cleaner In the immediate area (literally next door to each other) are two other hotel optionsthere is a Residence Inn by Marriott and a Hilton Garden I believe I would fork over the extra couple of dollars in hopes that the service, beds, and cleanliness are better Needless to say if there is an event in the area again I would definitely not come back and will avoid any stays at the Sonesta brand in the future

Nomad Family

Nothing about this hotel makes it worth the price Staff is unprofessional They double charged our bank card for no reason

They said the money would go back to our account same day, had to wait 5+ days Rooms are decent, no amenities here except a mediocre gym Pool is closed for no reason, you have to request microwaves, the fridge in rooms is very small and don’t work well Definitely shady at night, a guy kept trying to sell stuff to us as we enter and exit the hotel building Late at night people standing in the hallways talking loudly The front desk people have no respect and speak to you like you have never stayed in a hotel before, don’t waste your money! Do not recommend and won’t return

I can’t describe enough how grateful I am for the attentive and kind staff and excellent rooms I stayed here for several months and never had issues Anything I needed help on the staff promptly took care of

The food was good and the rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable I so enjoyed staying here and had such an excellent experience The front desk workers even knew my name after a while and were such a pleasure to interact with The housekeeping staff was equally pleasant and did a great job This is the perfect place to stay both short and long term 11/10 🙂

We had a 2 bedroom suite (King + 2 Queens) It was convenient to DC The service (of the front desk staff and those in breakfast/evening social) was quality

Pros: plenty of room for my 5 kids, full fridge & counter in room, some basic cooking things, shower for parents & tub shower for kids, doors to bedrooms, clean upon arrival, front desk staff was nice, mini waffles at breakfastCons: furniture & things had wear (rip in couch arm, non-functional can opener), tiny cooktop, didn’t know we had to request housekeeping to get fresh towels and empty trashService only down a star because they didn’t tell us housekeeping required a request (This is a new, common thing, but we haven’t traveled much since covid and didn’t know)
