This was a last minute getaway, and we were not disappointed with this place It is a newly remodeled bed and breakfast that’s only a block and a half from the beach Top quality staff, amenities, and food

Plenty of areas inside and outside to just sit and relax You can have a romantic evening by the fire pit in the back or a glass of wine on the front porch We look forward to going back, and checking out the other rooms, since this was the smallest one

My boyfriend booked a hotel here and I live in Florida I was super excited about it but unfortunately was astonished at the service their staff is offering Not only was the front desk person extremely rude and acted like he was too good to be working there The ENTIRE room and level of floor we were in was extremely HOT

When we asked for help, they brought a fan and said they couldn’t do much about it I got into an argument with the front desk person and so did another guest The bar said it was supposed to be open from A certain time and nobody was ever there Cops were called from his side and my own as well We spoke to the manager in the morning where she said she would follow up with me and recently called to say they can’t do anything about it Nice decor in the room but Absolutely the worse place I’ve ever stayed I highly recommend going somewhere else

Alan Smith

Location was very good, as were the size of the roomsNegatives – breakfast was stale bagels, no microwave in the room – apparently you had to ask for this at check in despite no one telling us this until check out – staff were pleasant but not helpful, room furniture was tall enough to be designed for a hobbit, AC in the room leaked, room safe didn’t work, one of the TVs in the room didn’t work, smokers in the corridors, no cutlery in the roomNone of the negatives were in themselves deal killers but at the price this hotel is charging you expect it to be pretty near perfect It far from it

It’s a nice hotel Room and bathroom were clean Bed was comfortable and so were the pillows

The blanket was thin however, not sure why they didn’t have a comforter They also have a restaurant and a little store We didn’t eat at the restaurant but their breakfast options were small and undesirable The store was convenient yet ridiculously expensive They sell snacks, water, wine, beer, and small things you might need like medicine, etc Overall it was a good experience The few things I didn’t like were that when we first arrived, exhausted after a long day and drive and wanted to check in, the girl at the front desk was on the phone and would not get off We waited for a very long time and could hear that the customer was asking her ridiculous questions, she kept telling them that she’s have to transfer them to another place but just wasn’t doing it You’re supposed to cater to the people actually in front of you first, not people on the phone, so she should’ve at least put that person on hold or transferred them alreadyBesides that, we were looking forward to getting drinks at their bar and found out that it’s only open from 5 pm until 9 pm Um why? Someone else we ran into was pretty unhappy with that as well Yet they purposely sell alcohol for two/there times the price it’s worth in their little store The last thing was that we requested a late checkout upon check-in and the girl gave us a check-out time of 1 pm Yet the day of our check-out, the phone rang once at 11 am and our key cards stopped working at 12 pm We weren’t ready and didn’t check out until 12:45 pm but luckily it didn’t become an issue

I could not believe the service that I received from this Hotel SUPERB!!!If I could give more stars I would Sharon the manager was such a sweetheart and did more for me than I ever expected

Nate, Brandon, Ryan, and Maggie were front desk associates who made my stay memorable and provided stellar customer service Any time I visit Wall Township, this will be the ONLY hotel I will stay at I am beyond pleased with my stay here and will be doing so for the foreseeable future

Arnon O

Firstly, there is nothing around this hotel ( restaurants bars erc)The maintenance of the rooms is lacking , the sink in my room was clogged , the ironing board would wrinkle your cloths even more Where most hotels which do not provide complementary breakfast provide coffee in the lobby , at this hotel there is only ( expensive) coffee for purchase( the coffee in the rooms is the liw end kind and is complimented by powdered whiteners

)The AC in the room will either freeze you or the room will be warm and damp when the temperature is selected to a warmer temperatureThe windows have not been cleaned in a while ( the windows in the photo are not steamed or wet)couldn’t see much outside on a nice clear dayThe front desk staff was responsive and helpfuloverall, not a pleasant stay

My family needed a place to stay down the shore for a long weekend and are so glad we found Chateau Inn and Suites! It is so charming and the location couldn’t be better (10 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the main stretch of Spring Lake, and easy access to all of the other busier shore towns) The rooms were clean, cozy, and quiet (couldn’t hear my 2 year old nephew crying in the room next door) There are lots of places to sit and gather with a group, and it was so convenient to have badges, beach chairs, beach bags, and towels available

You could also rent bikes for a minimal fee Although they don’t offer breakfast, they have an agreement with a local shop that delivers delicious breakfast quickly! They also have round-the-clock cucumber water, lemon water, iced tea, and coffee available in the lobby The staff was very helpful and friendly – they spent a solid 30 min trying to get our TV working, and when they couldn’t they offered us a gift card for breakfast

We love this place! Great location, wonderful staff, April was amazing both times we have stayed thereI do not want to say too much about this hidden gem, but I have to give it up to this hotel My grandparents owned motels and bungalows on the NJ shore, that being said I have a lifetime of NJ shore experience 🙂 We had not to returned to the NJ shore after my family sold the properties until this place was recommended to us during COVID Shutdown

This place is very special, a unique combination of great location, wonderful staff and comfortable accommodations I would recommend it to everyone I know but then it would be even more difficult to find a vacancy :)Thank you for our second wonderful stay there, we will be back ASAP 🙂

This Inn is very unique and different It’s a very old building and has a lot of character It’s like a bed and breakfast but without the breakfast

It doesn’t offer a lot of amenities, but has a lot of warmth and charm All of the rooms are clean and fully updated Parking is limited when the building is at full capacity Rooms have a lot of different lighting options and offer a refrigerator, an iron, hair dryer and wall mount flat screen TV The bed is very comfortable The only drawback was the close proximity to the train tracks It reminded me of the movie My Cousin Vinny when I was woken by a train at 5:36 in the morning

Could not beat a relaxing location on the water Smaller boutique hotel with full service offering Excellent restaurant overlooking River with largest scallops I have ever seen!! Walking distance to Main Street and lots of other food options and grocery! Beds very comfortable, rooms quiet and contain a fridge with full floor to ceiling windows !! It is an older hotel that was upgraded in the past but very very clean !

Samg381

This was my first time eating at the Oyster Point since I was very young I was pleased with the cleanliness of the hall, attentive staff and tasty dinner Despite having rented the banquet hall with patio access, there were no lights outside, making what could have been a fun scenic overlook into more of a treacherous affair

I’m happy I took a cab over, because parking was an utter nightmare The Coca-Cola was flat Nevertheless an all-around pleasant time

Hellene Liu

I expected better rooms, as the common areas are pretty well maintained Our beds were okay, the sliding door to the closet was jammed on both sides There was no hair dryer and the shower had nonexistent water pressure

The water in the tub did not go down the drain as quickly as it should And our room did not get cleaned We left the room at 2pm and I saw the housekeeper still doing her rounds but our room for some reason was left out, it had the door tag please service For 600+/2 nights I was hoping for a really great room but sadly, I was extremely disappointed

This resort is absolutely amazing! The room, the view, the food, the location, and the staff are ALL outstanding A serious highlight to this resort is the staff! They are top notch, so helpful, professional, and attentiveWe reserved a corner suite with ocean views, it was fantastic! Spacious, comfortable, and luxurious! The bed was perfect and the shower was large, clean, and very modern

I highly recommend booking a stay at this lovely resort, I wish we could’ve stayed much longer!!

Victoria DelCasino

I booked this hotel for myself and a friend to celebrate her 50th and I Highly recommend it Very clean, updated modern decor, great bedding, and AMAZING views from the oceanfront room The staff was professional, efficient, kind and very welcoming

The front desk manager Patrick Muir went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and then some The addition of a note and chocolates in the room for my friend was a wonderful extra The cafe downstairs that’s open very early for coffee and muffins was so convenient, and lunch at the Catina that’s also attached was delicious! There’s a whole pool area with views of the beach very cool, and there’s separate beach area for only hotel guests is set up with chairs and umbrellas that was awesome This has now become our go to at the Jersey shore

Janie Schmidt

Great location, great service, good for families This is the second time we have stayed here and really enjoyed ourselves Only a few suggestions: Please replace the balcony furniture, it is very rusted

Also, some of the furniture is very stained in the lobby and the sofa in the rooms I wish guests had free access to the ice machine That would be much more convenient than asking for ice to be delivered It’s a great destination for a shore vacation and we plan on returning!

I needed a break from the Hilton and Marriot’s Sitting on the front porch on a rocking chair with a view of Spring lake was so soothing!!!!! I’m rejuvenated…

Be Prepared To Be Escorted Out By The POLICE if You Complain About Room Cleanliness and Service! If you stay at The Hewitt Wellington and find the service or your room unsatisfactory, and complain to the manager Matt, you will have to answer to the POLICE!I had booked room 18 a few months ago for a 3-day weekend stay in July Knowing that most Spring Lake hotels are outdated I called the front desk ahead of our stay, and asked if room 18 had been remodeled I was assured that it was

Upon checking in I found our room not to have been remodeled nor to be sanitary There were greasy and questionable stains on the sofa, curtains and bed After my initial complaint about multiple issues with the room, the on-duty front desk assistant manager Bridget did not apologize for this inconvenience however, offered a discount upon checking outUpon checkout I was instructed to speak with Matt, the manager I began in a very friendly tone telling Matt the issues with the room:-Questionable stains-Nobody cleaned our room the entire stay-The mattress on the sofa had springs sticking out and was extremely uncomfortable I was in significant pain after sleeping on it-Miscommunication about the room being remodeledMatt proceeded to cut me off The on-duty manager did not allow or want to hear from a guest, instead he offered to print out the definition of the word remodeled I declined He then said “the customer is not always right” and proceeded to verbally abuse me He said he wasn’t going to offer proper discounts and that if I did not like the hotel I should leave at onceOn my calm remark that I found it unbelievable that a manager shall allow himself to talk to a customer in such a rude way, Matt called the police to escort me from the hotel Allow me to repeat this, the on duty manager in the hospitality industry decided to call the police on a guest speaking and voicing genuine concernsI am bewildered at this hotel’s complete lack of service, mistreatment and abhorrent behavior by management

M S

I checked into the Hewitt Wellington on Monday, June 13th, 2022 at approximately 10 pm The front desk was closed and it is important to note that the lights were off

I could not see the notice on the darkened desk that gave the after-hours help number Contrary to what Mr Johnson, the manager, later claimed, there were no other notices in the reception area for the after-hours phone number There was an envelope with my room key on the desk Unfortunately, the key was not for the suite that I reserved, but for a smaller room The result was I had to sleep on the floor that night as I gave the bed to my daughters Next morning, the front desk clerk admitted the hotel’s mistake and was very apologetic and helpful The first chance that I had to speak to the manager, Mr Johnson, was on Wednesday I informed Mr Johnson of the hotel’s mistake and the fact that I had to sleep on the floor Monday night Mr Johnson informed me he would only refund me the difference between the price of the small room and the suite for Monday night In light of the inconvenience caused by the hotel’s mistake, I was of the opinion that Mr Johnson could have done better to redress this This was and is not about the amount of money involved, but the fact that I wanted some acknowledgement that the hotel had fumbled this situation Mr Johnson was unfortunately not apologetic or indeed professional as regards my respectful sharing of the facts with him When I asked to speak to the owner, I was informed that the Hewitt Wellington was owned by a Home Owners’ Association and that Mr Johnson was where the buck stopped, so to say Mr Johnson then offered to take one night off my three night stay, if I left immediately Again, all I was looking for was a token acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused by the hotel’s mistake Mr Johnson badly needs a refresher course in Hotel Management 101 and Good Manners He seems to be of the opinion that he is not answerable to the Home Owners’ Association board that hired him, but I will continue to share my experience with the Spring Lake Chamber of Commerce and other appropriate bodies

We liked the vibe of the place I called the hotel upon booking personally the day before to check on the attached restaurant w-river view was going to be open the one night we were staying there for a birthday get-away After we hit the beach and then dressed to go eat, the place was shut down early due to a power outtage that had occurred earlier

No fault of anyone of course! But a little surprising, never mentioned so that we could get dinner on time (places close early so it was a sprint to find a good meal in time) So the place operates simply but the beach is beautiful across the hwy and this is a great town Attention to detail in the room is a C but it’s fresh, simple, and positive I appreciated the chance to stay there a lot and look forward to checking out their new building if not too much higher for the stay We both thought the price was way above the motel room but it’s the location, nice feeling and maybe because there are no other hotels to compete with 🙂

I checked in last night Nice room, no hairdryer, shower curtain too high Outside shower curb resulting in flooded bathroom floor, no hot water

Informed front desk no hot water at 9:00 AM At 4:30 pm next day informed that we needed to change rooms do to gas problem Here I am at 6:30 sitting on steps, no place to go The room I was reassigned to is a mess but the house keeper is cleaning a room that someone WILL be checking into I am sitting on steps No place to go to REally???Staff are very nice I kinda feel bad for this review but use caution

Michele Finley

Tiny room The bathroom hasn’t been updated in at least 25 years Almost no water pressure in the sink and the shower handle was rusted out, The TV was maybe a 20 inch

NO milk or cream for coffee Choice motel would’ve been better Tiki bar was fine not free so why the $435 a night? Colossal waste of money What a nerve to charge so much for a motel room that hasn’t been upgraded in decades and no maid service

The overall stay was excellent I am satisfied with the accommodations as well as the cleanliness of the rooms/hotel It is worth mentioning that the room had all appliances in the kitchen where you could cook whatever you liked and also the suite was very comfortable for three people as it has two full beds and separate living room with sofa bed (expanding)

We all really enjoyed the stay and I would go back if I have to The only thing I am less satisfied is the breakfast which was mostly out if frozen foods but self-serve waffles were deliciousThank youMaia

Very homely, surrounded by nice woods and I believe a small river The facilities were clean the staff nice and the room was superb Had a nice kitchen with everything included (electric stove, sink, refrigerator, cabinets, plates, utensils the works

Bed was comfortable and the sofa bed was a nice touch! Overall a positive experience, only complaint is that the managers reception is only on Wednesdays Wish it was everyday and also the offerings aren’t anything to write home too Honestly it was the worst thing about it, prisons get better meals and snacks Please make an effort to at least really show you care about the guests that pay money to stay in your building

Five stars is not enough Well maintained Nice gym

Very nice and professional staff We had a rough time with other hotels in the area and this Homewood suites blows all the others out of the water Extra kudos to Teresa (I believe) who was working the night shift and dealt with a handful of very aggressive customers with a smile She was poised and showed much more patience than the average person Thank you!

I stayed at the Laingdon for my friend’s wedding I had a lovely time and I would recommend staying here My only suggestion is that I’d like if they sent confirmation emails when you book with them and also provided itemized receipts when you pay

Other than that, the room was comfortable and clean and the location was great! Rates are reasonable and the staff was friendly

Jill Sherman

First time in a place like this It’s cute and the owners are very nice the rates were inexpensive and it’s right on the beach

That said, the bed in room 16 is awful One side is tolerable but the other is a nightmare My husband and I swapped sides and agreed I tried to relax on the lobby during the afternoon, but there was too much ruckus I had a hard time finding comfortEDIT:It never occured to me that the problem with the bed might have a simple fix! If you stay, be sure to let the staff know about any issues! They really were very kind and friendly And based on their response here, are clearly invested in making sure you have a comfortable stay! xoxo

Accidentally booked a bread and breakfast when I thought I booked a hotel smh buttt to my pleasant surprise this defeated all stereotypes place was beautiful clean … staff is clearly a family (which I love family stuff ☺️) and everyone from the owners to the children to the grandparent(s) very warm and welcoming people … And I can say … being a young black male from nyc these kind folk treated me like family … I have a good judgment of character and people and this b&b is it!! … parking infront house is easy peasy… neighborhood is a super safe leave door unlocked neighborhood…walking to beach is nothing its right on corner and THE OWNERS SUPPLY PASSES !… I give this experience place and people a 10 out of 5!!

Carolyn Yee

I love this place! Have been coming every year for about 15 years now The manager, Mary, is great Accommodates any and all requests to the best of her ability

The dogs are amazing too! And the sweets, breakfast and just the overall feel of the inn is so welcoming and homey Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone visiting New Jersey!

Had to book a last minute stay and everyone here was so accommodating The housekeeping was extremely friendly as was everyone at the front desk I never ate in the dining area but they had so many options at reasonable prices The lobby had everything we needed in the small shop so we didn’t have to run out for any snacks or necessities

Bathroom and bedroom fully stocked with soaps, towels, etc Another plus was that they are dog friendly, they even had little complimentary dog treats at the front desks While the hotel room was extremely nice and the entire place was well kept, the employees definitely made our experience! I cant thank you guys enough and we will definitely be returning!

This we will be my new stay in this area from now on The building may look different from the outside but its a great stay on the inside The rooms are comfortable and clean most importantly

I’ll definitely stay here again Not as jam packed as some of the mainstream corporate hotels either There is an Applebee’s bar practically connected to the property if you need a drink Also a 711 in walking distance and some businesses like a pizza place right across the street Great highway access too but far enough away where you don’t hear the traffic Perfect location!

It was a convenient location and I’ve stayed at this chain of hotels many times for work I have never had any complaints The staff was very kind and friendly

I took pictures of the bed when I walked in It looked as if someone had been laying on it, pillows propped up and all The carpet on one side was soaked and had a strong mildewy odor to it The bathroom fan was on and there was a hand towel off to the side as if someone used it There was a pair of old socks on the ground by the trash can The shower curtain was torn in 4 spots and barely functional The smell was the worst, but I was there on business and I was exhausted The only reason I did not request to move rooms

Nichole Matos

I ultimately gave this hotel 2 stars because they did house us for 2 nights The place is extremely outdated and sketchy looking They were skimp with the towels, having to share with my little sister

There aren’t microwaves in each room (as advertised) but there is one in the lobby The “breakfast” consists of frozen sandwiches and mid coffee The worst part of the stay was the lack of customer service- employees seemed to be annoyed when assistance was needed One of the staff lied about the ice machines (which do not work) and stated it “was just working earlier” yet the machines clearly have been out for some time I had a great family trip at the Shore but will not stay here again even if it was the last option (and it was) I would not recommend
