Our team stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton Memphis – Southwind for a local soccer tournament Overall the rooms were below average with regard to cleanliness, but acceptable The most significant problem was the customer service and general treatment of our parents and children

This was entirely unacceptable Multiple parents and kids were treated far beyond rude by the staff at the front desk It started almost from the moment we arrived and confrontations included shouting, arguments, and foul language This is a group of parents and boys that have been on many tournament trips, not an unruly bunch as we understand the typical hotel expectations They stated they have a “rule” that they don’t allow any minor to be outside the room unaccompanied Ultimately that was a good idea because I didn’t feel safe leaving my kid unaccompanied in that hotel Both nights as we sat in the outdoor sitting area in the back of the hotel, we were greeted by an intoxicated and high woman, who claimed she had been staying in that hotel for a few months She’d sit in her car with the music blaring, smoking and drinking, then stumble out to attempt to talk to us We were friendly to her, but it was not a good situations Then there was a steady stream of younger adults going in and out the back door without a key It was obvious they were not patrons I would not recommend staying at this hotel We will not be going back

this will be long but necessary! This was by far the WORST Four Points experience we have ever had The entire hotel gave us Motel 6 vibes from the moment we checked in until the day we left The cleaning was substandard, the lobby was nice, but was always occupied by someone and the staff was always frowning and mean

We checked in on Friday, July 2 at about 1am because of our long drive The gentlemen that was manning the front counter was sitting in the office just off to the rear left and just stared at me when I walked in I said politely, good evening, I need to check in He walked over to the counter, said ID please then we had a few moments of silence between us His next response was, credit card please and pointed to the reader on the counter I inserted my card, he programmed the keys and gave me my room number, nothing more Once we saw where the elevator was located, we went to the room and it was like walking into a bad dream The colors were dated, carpet was nasty, the sheets had stains on them from the previous occupant we assumed, the weird printed sign was on the desk, they only put 2 cups and 1 bottle of water in the room, the provided items in the restroom weren’t from the same vendor, the shower items were missing and we only had 2 towels, there was what looked to be blood spatter on the wall and a wad of hair on the floor Good thing we always travel with cleaning wipes and our own pillows because there was NO WAY I was sleeping on those pillows with feathers flying everywhere! Overall, we were really disappointed with this hotel carrying the Sheraton name but none of it’s luxuries (photos provided)

The reception was welcoming, but the the hotel service was poor Many amenities in the rooms were missing—the sofabed sheet, pillows, towels Even the shower gel was completely empty when we first entered the room

While we were able to request most of them from the reception desk, it was quite disappointing for a 3-star hotel Complementary breakfast was not included unless ordered and paid, so be prepared Other than these, the room itself was quite spacious

Room is very spacious and clean The hotel looks modern and sleekI like the lavender and eucalyptus scent of the body wash provided in the shower

The wash and the hand soap moisturized my skinThe bed could be a little more comfortable, but overall, this is the best and cleanest Fairfield I’ve ever been to

” Man she was a life saver and so nice to me Truly was a delight meeting her if only for just moments Great hotel but Ms Patsy I have to say takes the cake Thank you so much Ma’am for being so nice to a hungry truck driver PS Mr Terrance was also a great person and was very polite and helpful to me

Lorraine & Jr representatives very extremely friendly and helpful at check inThe king suite room is very clean and spacious Great for someone who has been on the road traveling for business for months straight

I stayed in this hotel for 2 months, and while away from home, the staff here made it feel like home I had new carpet in my room, two nice TVs, a new AC, and got a brand new couch Ever time I made a request for something small, the staff went out of their way to help me out

The overall friendly staff of the hotel made the difference Every morning, Ms Jackie took care of me with having coffee out early since I was out the door before 6, she was incredibly friendly, and I came to know and appreciate her as a friend Mr Junior, the maintenance technician always took care of me whenever anything were to arise, and would not stop until the problem was fixed, he always checked up on me when I was passing through the hallways or lobby to make sure that I was satisfied with his work Mr Torrance also did the same thing, he made sure my room was always taken care of and that I was happy with the level of service he and Junior were providing Brandesha and Diekstra (sp) also were very welcoming every time I stepped through the front door, they addressed me as Mr Elloy and made me feel very at home whenever I returned from a long day at work They both went out of their way to help me out on numerous occasions, and always were there to make small talk This all comes down from the top, the GM (I didnt get her name) but she was always very friendly, and made sure I was satisfied with how things were going, and if I had any complaints When I left the hotel at the end of my stay, I looked at all the staff as friends after spending so much time with them, and they made my stay away from my family very comforting

Chris Ghalayini (Cheffie G)

Dated Front desk staff never recognized Diamond status nor gave the impression that he cared as much if anyone was staying at the hotel or not Came down one night for a bandaid and waited 25 minutes at front desk with nobody in sight

Even the night security tried to check in on shift and couldn’t Old mildew smell in room, dirty carpet and overall rundown feel As a loyal Hilton member, one of the worst properties to date Definitely will not be returning to this location with multiple choices within a 5 mile radius

We have been loyal Hilton Honors members for years, so we almost always choose a Hilton property when traveling I was hoping to find a place we can stay again and again for the next few years while our daughter is in college in Memphis, but this will not be the one To be fair, I will list the positives first

The front desk staff were friendly and professional, the property was in a safe location, and the hotel was mostly cleanNow the negatives: the key card system was down for our entire stay, and according to staff had been down for a couple days when we got there Every time you needed to enter your room, you had to wait in line for someone to walk you to your room and let you in All exterior doors were unlocked because there was no other way for guests to enter the hotel This is clearly not a safe practice, and there seemed to be no urgency in getting the problem taken care of As I stated before, all staff were courteous and friendly I believe this property must be poorly managedYesterday we were also informed by the restaurant employee who escorted us to our room that the entire system was down hotel-wide and they were unable to ring up anything food or drinkThere is no housekeeping service at this hotel unless requested, which was fine, but sort of strange When we wanted to use the ice bucket in our room, we discovered that it had about three inches of water in it from the previous guest, which made me wonder how clean the rest of the room actually wasOverall, this was a disappointing stay If there is a problem so severe that no one in the hotel can have a key card, the hotel management should be finding other accommodations for all the guests, or at the very least, offering free breakfast and drinks or even bottles of water No apology or attempt to make things right AT ALLLastly, the walls in this hotel were thin On night one, we could hear our neighbors to the left talking until very late that night On night two, our neighbor to the right went out and left a barking dog, assumedly in a crate We had to call the front desk because it went on and on and on This is a hotel that is not supposed to allow petsI wish I could say we’ll be saying here again, but I can’t see that happening since management seemed to be completely absent in this hotel

STAY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!My company brought me here to work in one of their local offices for two weeks On Saturday night I decided to go home for one night since the drive was less than 3 hours away When I came back Sunday night, my room looked like it had been vandalized! There was no bedding on the bed, the bathroom rubber to the slider was torn off and the blinds were jacked up

The pillows were on the floor and all the belongings I had left overnight were gone! Since it was after 11pm there was no manager or housekeepers on staff The front desk girl had to go find me some sheets for my King size bed! The following morning I spoke with the Hotel Manager Ellen She brushed off the incident and told me to send her an email! I sent her an email no response Went to front desk again the following day and said I am waiting to see how they will compensate me for my missing items Ellen sends me an email later in the evening telling me housekeeping did not find any missing items that I “alleged” were stolen! I was appalled by her lackluster response and lack of apology and for not taking any responsibility for her staff! The fact that my company paid well over $2k for me to stay here and be treated in this manner is terrible I won’t even let housekeeping in my room now at all and have been requesting my towels at the front desk, which also takes forever to get! My co-worker had to switch rooms the first week we got here and in doing so, had his expensive sneakers and some shirts stolen! Although the hotel is nice, the way this place is run; dirty gym with no disinfecting wipes, equipment that doesn’t get wiped down and management that doesn’t care about their guests and overlook thieving employees is appalling!

Tony Brott

Overall, I felt my stay was satisfactory But there were some things I felt made the whole experience less than exemplary For a hotel that charges at a premium rate, I didn’t feel like it was a premium experience

Things like not having regular housekeeping service unless requested, rooms that were pleasant but not above average, no complimentary breakfast That kept it from being top-notch Now, I will say that the staff was pleasant and helpful and did a great job They were top-notch But the overall experience was just OK

I came home to lay a loved one to rest I must say that from check in to check out; the experience was nothing short of superb The gentleman that is the chef of the facility is one amazing human being

He helped me to my room because I had a lot of things to carry He also informed me that they have social gatherings between 5pm-7pm Monday-Wed The front desk staff assisted with anything I needed The king suite is ❤🧡❤🧡❤🧡The room was very clean Full amenities: fridge, stove microwave, dishes and cookware Extremely spacious The bed was so comfortable This is hands down the best hotel experience I have had coming back home to Memphis! Thank you guys for making this a pleasurable stay Especially considering the occasion

Only stayed for 1 night and honestly I choose places based on our needs and reviews So I was a little confused with my experience We were placed in the only room available based on my call to the hotel when I was inquiring about if dogs were accepted

Our room was on the 2nd floor and there was a noticeable foul odor immediately when we got off the elevator Room was acceptable, had a kitchenette but we didn’t need it The absolute WORST thing was the toilet did not properly flush It would fill up to the point I thought it would overflow and slowly drain It seemed like strong enough pressure to actually flush the toilet paper down but didn’t My husband and I had to use the public bathrooms downstairs, even in the middle of the night SO that’s why I give it a 1 star rating It was good enough to tolerate for 1 night but it was not comfortable And before management responds and ask why I didn’t say anything, would you after getting settled in with your pet and being told it was the last room available after booking through a third party site for a better price for a non-refundable $250 a night? The lady at check-in was nice but at checkout the women was on the phone the entire time, conversation wasn’t with a potential customer The situation could have been understandable if it was about the hotel as she was the only one working at the desk It’s a little rude in my opinion

Lovely hotel, good breakfast, nice lobby, quality of rooms and service was great The hotel gym is also very nice, on the fourth floor with treadmills facing the windows so you have a cool viewThe only issue was the pool 🥹 My family and I were really looking forward to swimming so we called many hotels to confirm if their pool was open

Via phone they confirmed the pool was open So we booked with them Upon arrival, we asked again they said yes When we went to the pool, they had these signs posted, front desk had no idea about them when we brought it to their attention, and then urged us to not swim until they confirmed it was okay to swim (better safe than sorry, i understand) They promised to get back to us with answers and they didn’t We asked another staff member and the interaction of not knowing anything about it repeated I am happy they preferred to be safe, but the miscommunication was frustrating I appreciate the staff being nice as possible throughout

donted60

First time staying and we were very satisfied Upon arrival the staff was very courteous and cordial For some reason I was booked for 3 rooms instead of one( an Expedia mistake) but it was quickly cleared up

Thankfully I was only billed for one room The rooms must have been remodeled because they were better than the pics and the bathroom was 👍🏿👍🏿 The next morning I got a chance to go to the gym and that was a good experience also hand sanitizer and complimentary water was available and that was a plus All in all this was a good stay and will definitely be on my list of hotels to stay in when in Memphis

Paul Baltz

Stayed here the weekend with my family, for a soccer tournament The front desk was very friendly and helpful I also appreciated the tireless staff during the busy breakfast rush

They worked non-stop to keep the food supply coming The room was clean and comfy It had a fridge but no microwave (had to go to the lobby for that) Parking lot patrolled at night by security vehicle Only dislike is the location–it’s squeezed in between a couple busy stretches of road Blink and you will miss the entrance or accidentally turn into the adjacent property

We booked this hotel based off the reviews that stated it was clean, in a great location, and recently renovated Upon arrival I was greeted by a very nice and helpful gentleman at the front desk He gave me the keys to my rooms and we headed up

Once I entered the first room I began to do an inspection of the room before we got settled I noticed the bathroom floors were stained and mold was in the corner of the walls I then noticed lint and thread from someone clothing on the bathroom floor as well as hair in the sink The bathroom also smelled like urine I went back to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room The gentleman at the front desk stated the floors were like that due to the tile that was used when the hotel was renovated 🤔 he then gave me keys to two rooms and asked me to go check them out I went and chose room 313 Once my husband and son came we began to inspect that room starting with the beds as always As we were spraying the bed with disinfectant we noticed the mattress pad was stained with what seemed to be urine and blood My husband then took the mattress pad off and revealed a very horrific sight There was a huge bodily fluid stain on the mattress We then took the mattress pad off the other bed and revealed more stains I was horrified Although I always check hotel beds for bed bugs I have NEVER found anything until this day I was so upset and horrified until I could not stop shaking I headed back to the front desk where the gentleman looked at my pictures and stated “the mattresses are old” and “this is why we have mattress pads” I was baffled at his response He then issued me a full refund and we had to search for another hotel Mind you this is the weekend of Univ of Memphis graduation, high school prom, and Mother’s Day I will be contacting cooperate about this issue and now I’m wondering are the reviews that show up are real🤔

My family was in Memphis for a memorial for our Mother and the staff was so kind and helpful They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant The hotel was clean, quiet, and had gathering areas inside and outside as well as by the pool for us to gather together as we came from all over the US

Some of us had late flights and they helped the folks late in the night get settled with their rooms, snacks and drinks Ditas was so helpful arranging a group of rooms for us Victoria who worked days when we were there (7/8/22-7/10/22) seemed to anticipate whatever we needed and appeared instantly to help us I was not able to read the name tag of the woman who worked overnight, but she was also very helpful getting my niece and her daughter settled as their flight was delayed The bistro is available to purchase Starbucks brand coffee and breakfast type items Customer service was excellent The only thing I would suggest is that when it is time to replace linens that they get softer towels as they were quite scratchy Hate to complain about anything for this trip, but keeping my glowing review real!

Very clean, lovely place Staff was very polite and helpful Breakfast was good with hot and carry away options

They were very fast about cleaning in between each guest It’s not often you go to a hotel and there isn’t any kind of odor, good or bad It was just neutral and clean Bed was comfortable We stayed in the handicapped room and it had all of the accommodations needed

Delanna Neely

Friendly staff, Jessica was excellent After having a horrible experience at a different hotel, she was able to get my family off 6 in with 2 adjoining rooms Upon arriving we checked in with Chad

He was also excellent and very warm Rooms were very clean Breakfast was good We will no longer be staying at the previous hotel We have switched over to Marriott!!!

This is a decent option for business travelers or families looking to stretch their dollars while traveling This is a newer property, so everything is pretty well kept and in working order The front desk employees all were helpful and greeted me warmly each day

Nice TV’s, mini fridges, and modern decor/bathrooms in the rooms Have realistic expectations, don’t expect this to be the Ritz Carlton, and it will be a sufficient option for many

Hotel was very nice, staff was super friendly It was never hard to find anyone to help Everyone was always asking how you were or at least saying hello

Hotel was clean, except for the pool water needed some adjustingIt was the guests that were the issue!! We were woken up at 2:30 am but a group coming in that was screaming, banging, running, waking the dead for over 30 minutes Once they finally stopped we managed to fall back asleep only to be awoken at 3:40 to someone attempting to make the bed above us come through the ceiling for the next half-hour Trying to not explain what was really going on to my child was so much fun So if you plan on staying here bring some ear plugs

Customer service was poor with attitudes especially by the manager Eugene Perez he was getting loud with me for no reason at all All the workers seem to have attitudes and they don’t greet youMy trucking company booked my room I’m sure they have an account with the hotel as they spend lots of money with best western

They treated me poorly and very inconsiderate The refrigerator didn’t work and it was dirty, it was an issue talking to them to have it fixed I couldn’t believe the poor hospitality that they had My co workers also had issues being here I tried to get corporates number and no one seem to be able to provide it Such an unwelcoming stay I don’t recommend

Our experience began before our arrival when Myron called to confirm all of my noted preferences The staff were all notably friendly, accommodating and provided exceptional customer service Our suite was great, we enjoyed the layout of the room and the new large-screened smart TV’s

The in-room amenities well suited our comfort We did not eat the breakfast offerings, but did enjoy the restaurant options surrounding the hotel Overall, it was an excellent experience! Our family will return and appreciated the service and comfortable stay I am happy to favorably recommend with a 5-star rating Thanks again

Looked for bed bugs when we arrived, but saw none until after our second night We left immediately after packing all of our belongings into garbage bags for a 12 hour road trip Was told I wouldn’t have to pay the $85 fee for checking out early

Then I overheard staff say the room wouldn’t be booked until the day after Also, the mattresses had MANY stains It was pretty gross I was also told I’d be charged for drinking too much coffee I think it was supposed to be a joke but the staff was clearly not amused by his own joke Not impressed, but glad my dog was welcomed there! So, that part was nice!

DO NOT STAY HERE! The girls in the room next door were having a very loud party After several complaints, the police were finally called The ended up arresting at least one person and evicting the girls

We finally got to sleep at 12:30 AM The next morning, the desk clerk refused our request to no be charged for the room, despite the sign in the lobby that said if we were unhappy we would not have to pay My wife called the GM and he was rude and argumentative Avoid this place and spend your money where you are actually valued as a customer

Stayed here for a week, and the stay was just average overallPros:1 Good location in terms of access to restaurants, stores, etc

2 Friendly, and attentive staffCons:1 Overall cleanliness of hotel wasn’t up to the typical Holiday Inn standard Carpets on my floor were grimy, and there were several spills that didn’t appear to have been cleaned2 While breakfast was included in the stay, there was none available throughout the stay The night of checking in, I was told breakfast would be available from 6 AM However, the next morning, the lobby was completely empty and I was told ‘the staff didn’t show up’ so there wasn’t any breakfast! At a minimum, at least coffee could have been made available in the lobby – but that wasn’t the case

Lily Fluharty

Our stay here wasn’t bad, but there were some unfortunate issues with our room Our first room the heating/cooling wasn’t working When we told the front desk, they got us a new room which was great! While the cooler worked in this new room we had some other issues

the shower door would not close, there were crusty stains all over the carpet, and the shades were brokenOverall, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location wasn’t horrible, but the rooms weren’t great

The room and lack of amenities did not justify the price chargedCheck in and counter staff were courteous and I’m sure had nothing to do with the overall business plan of the ownersWe will not be staying at a Candlewood facility in the future

It’s such a wonderful place to stay, clean rooms, reasonably priced, but the staff is what makes this place 5 stars! As soon as you walk in, you can feel the warmth The restaurant was good, nothing to write home about, but again, the staff is so wonderful, I ate there twice There are plenty of food choices close by, that’s why I really can’t ding the hotel itself

There’s also Top Golf simulators in the lobby, nice little something to do when you come back for the night

I’ve stayed at the Memphis location when in the area for the 25 years I stayed here on 5/2/22, getting a reservation was once again a ridiculous hassle

Once there we got the room directly across from the staff supply room, in and out slamming the door a lot I had to use the pull out bed, terrible mattress and could feel the bar the whole time I was laying on it I called the front desk to get bedding for the pull out, “yeah come get it” was the reply I go get it from the front desk, when I start making my bed I notice the blanket is really thin I call the front desk again and ask for another blanket, again I get “yeah come get it” I go back to the desk, and then have to follow the employee back to the door across from my room and wait for them to get me another blanket! There was no conditioner in the shower, this isn’t the first stay that something soap wise has been non-existent When I first started coming to Memphis for doctor appointments, staying here was nice and I couldn’t say enough good things I don’t know what happened in the last year and a half but I will not be coming back Service, bed, supplies left much to be desired

Our AC went out and we were looking for an affordable place to take myself, my fiancé, his cousin, and our cat I called ten hotels and each one was full until I called Sonesta They said they had a room available, and when we drove there, Michael was a great help

He checked us in quickly and was very kind to us when he learned about our situation He ensured that we were in a very comfortable, air-conditioned suite The room was extremely comfortable, and at an affordable price, too Will definitely be staying here again!

A few weeks ago, I booked a stay for 19 nights at this location on their corporate website Upon arrival, I was told my reservation did not exist even after showing a confirmation email What made the situation worse was the rudeness I encountered at the front desk

The lady had a horrible attitude, did not care about my situation, and basically told me to kick rocks After reading reviews, I should have avoided this location in the first place I emplore you to do the same as well
