The moment we stepped into this hotel our whole family fell in love with it 😍!! It’s absolutely a family friendly hotel with Pool table, board games, washer dryer room, clean gymnasium (trust me I’ve experienced the bad one’s where you can’t stay a minute) and free hot breakfast!! The breakfast was moderately good For our transit to Smooky mountain we choose to stay in this place and we absolutely loved it! Our room was very spacious with a modern look The automatic roller blinds was so very easy to use

Absolutely Loved the cleanliness Highly recommend if you plan to stay for a day or two

Hotel staff were nice and check in was excellent Room was fine, The room had an alarm clock were set to go off at 6am – not sure if the housekeeping staff was passive aggressively setting them? I asked at check in if the hotel was serving breakfast and confirmed it was When i showed up in the lobby, there was nothing but pre packaged shelf stable foods – like what you might find in a very basic convenience store

Overall a dissatisfying stay, not what i expected from Hilton hotels

Adina Langer

After our second time staying here with our family, I can vouch for the cleanliness and friendliness of this easily-accessible hotel Breakfast is a highlight— especially the pancake machine and little packets of Nutella In the rooms, I love the environmentally friendly soaps and shampoos with the bright and refreshing lemon scent

The style is fresh and modern

I was very happy with my stay It was a great value compared other nearby choices The hotel and my room were clean

Parking was easy There are plenty of restaurants nearby Even in walking distance if you so choose My only disappointment was the mattress was much softer than I prefer That is always hit or miss regardless of where you stay

Mike Prekopa

We stayed 3 nights while hiking and enjoying Shenandoah National Park Check in was very fast and easy The person at the desk was very friendly

To conserve energy and reduce waste, they do full room cleanings every 3 days Each day we asked for extra towels, and the bed to be made Never actually got the extra towels, but they gave us fresh towels each day and made the bed up The hotel was very clean, and every staff member we interacted with very friendly House Keeping even gave us a note saying they hoped we enjoyed our stay (If you’re reading this Rita, we did!) The breakfast was a little limited on the 2 days we made it down From over hearing a staff member, I guess there was a supply issue, and a lot of stuff was out of stock Lots of restaurants around A little far from the park, but easy to get to, and we had to book late Aside from this, our stay was great, and will be keeping this on the list of places to stay

I am writing this five star Google review from a four star hotel in DC and nothing really distinguishes them but how they would look on Instagram This quality inn location seems to have suffered nothing while the rest of the world is struggling with staffing, maintenance, and materialsThis spot is clean, attractive, easy to find and park at, quiet and safe to walk at night, near plenty of restaurants, and complete with great amenities like a great comfortable bed, a fridge and microwave, free continental breakfast, a nice pool, and sewing kits or forgotten essentials at the front desk

Both our day and night staff were attentive and pleasant – this place was a find in 2019 and again in 2022

We stayed here at Quill Cottage a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend A wonderful place to stay The bed is ridiculously comfortable with really soft linens, the fireplace was easy to use (gas log), and the jacuzzi tub was perfection

Huge too There is a TV and a nice little kitchenette area, although we didn’t use it because Harrisonbug has so many great local restaurants It is very close to downtown and everywhere we wanted to go We would definitely stay here again

By the Side of the Road is a hidden gem! My darling cottage was well appointed and though a simple gesture, the personal “Welcome” sign made me feel noticed and appreciated In the past I have stayed at another very nice B & B, but trying to justify the more than triple jump in price, I was looking for someplace that could be a frequent place to stay in the valley, that felt comfortable and safe for solo travel and most of all, sat in a serene setting both indoors and out The innkeepers were extremely responsive as well

I cannot wait to return for a longer stay Happy New Year!🎊

Amy Dodson

We loved this quaint little property! We stayed in the Water Lily Studio and we couldn’t have asked for anything better! It truly was home away from home! The owners thought of everything and made sure to leave cute little, personalized touches throughout! Once entering the studio, we were welcomed by soft playing music and a warm, relaxing atmosphere The sheets were heavenly to sleep in!! The shower experience was priceless!! Will come again and tell everyone we know about this cute little place! Thank you so much for accommodating us!

Great hotel, real clean Nice beds Nice shower

but can’t give 5 star if you don’t have coffee in room and the stuff you put out in lobby looks like tea Folks like real coffee in the morningand people don’t like being stared at when making breakfast I understand they need to stock up, but don’t stand there and stare at people, it’s very uncomfortable

B. Parker

Fantastic property with fantastic staff I stayed here as a long-term guest and was very pleasantly surprised The rates were fantastic as was the breakfast and sevice

We had a great time staying here The kids and I enjoyed the pool while my husband enjoyed the gym Great price for being Christmas time, room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious

Our room was pretty great, king bed and sofa bed, desk and kitchen We stayed almost a week while visiting family and had a lot to do nearby within walking distance, or a short drive, to be entertained and have a good time

Katelyn Sheffield

We stayed here on the way to and on the way back from a family road trip It was really nice to have a full kitchen, especially when traveling with a baby Another highlight of both stays was the shower

However, our two stays were completely differentStay 1: The bed was uncomfortable, but that was the only complaint The breakfast had a lot of different choices The waffles they had were so deliciousStay 2: The bed was more comfortable The toilet seat was loose The man at the front desk did not acknowledge you except with a nod when you spoke to him The breakfast was nonexistent (who eats beef and bean burritos in the morning)

kelmadfan

Not the hotel’s fault but had to change rooms because of pounding from the folks on the floor above and changed rooms later that night The front desk clerk was very helpful in getting me and my things to a room on the third floor However, that room wasn’t much better

The room next door was vibrating music around midnight when I was trying to get to sleep And the A/C was noisy The pillows were like sleeping on a pile of straw Slept 3 hours Woke up and went to the bathroom and the toilet stopped up Not impressed Checked out around 6:30 the next morning and got out of there This is a Marriott these days? Oh yeah, I’m the the first room, the kitchen counter had some sort of sticky stuff on it above the dishwasher The second room was much cleaner

Room was clean but our problem was we settled into the night started to get our showers and discovered there were no towels no hand towels or face towels to be found so we had to call down to the front desk all the front desk could offer were pool towels which aren’t the best but at 11pm what was I going to doThe room also had a stale odor to it like the room hadn’t been used in a while which took a while to clear upOther than those two items the stay was good location was good for my business dealings

25 stars The hotel industry has gone way done

This place will nickel and dime you No continental breakfast, just high priced snack bar When we tried to check out early in the morning to catch our flights, the 24/7 desk was unmanned We waited for over 30 minutes but had to leave for the airport I had to just leave a not explaining why my team and I could not check out I called multiple times to reach someone after we left and even wrote an email to the General Manager I received no response from them Called back once I arrived home and the receptionist confirmed our check out and sent me receipts so we could file our hotel expenses I was so disappointed with my stay here

Adon Gaitan

Good -1 Great location lots of food options available2

The lobby and restrooms are kept very clean3 Staff member Elva was very accommodatingBad -1 Was told by the front desk receptionist that no smoking was allowed in the Courtyard but when I went out there there was a smoker’s Pole See pictures attached2 Order a chocolate cake from The bistro it was very dried out, The older gentleman worked in the bar immediately got an attitude when I asked for a different one He said they’re all the same which he was right because the 2nd one was also dried out3 Went down to the front desk to report some type of rodent scratching the ceiling in my room for the past 2 days The woman working the front desk immediately went to the back to speak to the manager, She returned and said that she can move me to a different room Very disappointed as the manager was in the back and never bothered to come up front to apologize Atcheck out I reminded them about the rodent in the room and asked for the manager to contact me still have not had any communication4 Titanium members are not acknowledged at this hotel as the $10 food credit is only applied for one day, Even if you’re staying for a week as I did

We Googled motels in the area I always check reviews and decided we would try here We really enjoyed our stay all around

Greeted at the desk by friendly faces The lady took the time to tell us all the fun things to do and the gentleman understood how hard it is to travel with 2 preteen girls so he hooked us up with adjoining rooms and beds was super comfy and clean rooms will stay again! Thanks guys

Lori Harrison

My husband and I just stayed 2 nights at Fairfield Inn in Harrisonburg, VA Our experience was nothing less than 5 stars I would give it more if it were possible We arrived in town quite earlier than anticipated and the gentleman at the front desk was kind enough to let us check in early

This property is beautifully furnished and everything was very prestine Our bed was very comfortable I loved the soap/shampoo& conditioner dispenser in the shower The water pressure was great The breakfast buffet each morning was great Many hot and cold food selections Great coffee and some of the best orange juice I’ve ever tasted All of the staff we came in contact with during our stay were very polite and courteous I highly recommend this property This is our 2nd time staying here and certainly won’t be our last

Keith Hennett

Rooms are nice and well maintained Location is convenient to all that is JMU I was very disappointed in service

Specifically requested a slightly early check-in Seemed as if it was no issue Get there and they were firm on normal 3pm check-in With no where to go and no warning that was not cool Marriott has always let me know ahead of time if early check-in is not doable Disappointed!

I stayed in Harrisonburg, Virginia 3/4/22 to 3/6/22 and it was absolutely the BEST experience I have ever had staying in a hotel It was clean, comfortable, and the customer service is unbeatable!! I had the pleasure of meeting a young lady named Jessica that’s works third shift/ over nights at this location I have stayed numerous times in hotels across the country and I have never met anyone in customer service that could compare to this young lady

So kind, sweet, caring, yet very professional She went out of her way to take care of not only me and my children but everyone I really hope that Country Inn and Suites in Harrisonburg, VA realize how valuable she is because she is the reason my stay was as wonderful as it was and the reason I will be returning

Shirl Katherine

Rooms and breakfast were decent Minus stars because the pool is closed and it’s not listed anywhere I can find on their website Seems like false advertising to not make that known

For those of us with kids, it was a big let down The business center was also closed I have a feeling the staff might just be too lazy to keep up with the amenities Make sure to call if you’re wanting to use either of those, as they might not be open

I read the reviews and was a little nervous about going All of the employees were very friendly Their customer service was top notch

It’s like they all had the best training just on customer service and nothing else The room was clean I wiped tables, knobs, light switches, etc down with clorox wipes and not one came back dirty I gave the rating a 4 because the furniture in the room was very dated It’s so dated that the tub can no longer be white when it’s cleaned There also was no microwave in the room I didn’t need it since I only stayed one night, but that would have been an inconvenience if I stayed another night I like that a 7 Eleven and Cracker Barrel were very close Oh the breakfast was decent too There were hot and cold items

Catherine P

Don’t get me wrong it’s a beautiful hotel, really nicely decorated The check in was super fast and easy, the woman at the desk was very helpful and nice The hall we were on didn’t smell like smoke

The room isn’t the one I thought i booked, needed a bathtub, didn’t get one There was blood on the bathroom wall by the trash can There was only a single sheet on the bed, not the multi sheet protection that you usually see The light on one side of the bed was unplugged because the light bulb was melted and burned but not replaced The pool was nice looking but the chlorine was extremely strong It burned our eyes to even be in the pool room The breakfast was okay Just your standard hot breakfast but there was plenty It wasn’t the worst stay but It wouldn’t be my 1st pick again

Robert Snow

Where do I begin Run!!We’ve been coming to Harrisonburg for 15 years This is the worst hotel to date

We opted to book with this hotel because of the pool The pool, however, had a disgusting smell and was closed We were not told this when we booked our room and mentioned wanting to use the pool Room kind of ok but bathroom floor was sticky YOU must request housekeeping if you wish the service to be provided It is not automatically provided and they don’t make it known to you They said there was a sign on the bathroom mirror explaining lack of housekeeping but there is not so after a long day we returned to find beds unmade, no clean towels, no coffee or shampoo since we had used them the day before and pizza box trash etc still in our room They graceously do still charge full price at $135 Notice I didn’t mention breakfast free Gave it a look and went out for breakfast instead

The room was good, desk service was fine, location was very convenient But

the breakfast service was seriously lacking Breakfast service is from 6a-10a At 8am the breakfast was out of bagels, sausage, eggs, mix for waffles The only things in stock were 1 type of muffin, 2 English muffins, and cereal Breakfast service doesn’t make or break this rating but it certainly detracts from the possibility of a great ratingPS for management, your elevator is in serious need of service

kayla howard

The young lady who checked me in Saturday was great, come Sunday when I was checking out at 12 I waited 30 minutes for someone to help me, when the gentleman finally came to help he seemed off like he was on drugs or something Someone should really check into this I wasn’t the only guest who thought he was high off something and unfocused at his job Besides that it was a great stay

Krishna Prasad

We were driving for long hours and wanted to take a sleepover , was pleasantly surprised at the location , size of the room and the service was awesomeWill look forward for this chain in the future the only reason I took one star away was because of breakfast , it could have had better options

at least some hot breakfast options

Wonderful experience from start to finish The hostess and our server jake/jack, sorry forgot the name, was wonderful Food was amazing – have not had food this fresh, well prepared, and creative since my wife and I lived in San Francisco – the quail appetizer was so creative and a blend of southern cuisine that meant Asian and French all in this dish that was delightful

Highly recommend this fine establishment We will be back again

Loved it! The rooms we got were amazing Two rooms connected via one main door, clean and well laid out They provided everything from soap and sponges to laundry detergent

The grounds are laid out well Lots of things to do around the giant property We saw a show that was great, and the restaurants on property were pretty good too I’d love to visit again!

For a resort boasting all seasons, there is little to do if you’re not interested in what they have to offer There’s a outdoor aerial type park and an indoor/outdoor water park If you go at an off season, there’s no slopes to ski on and weather is not warm enough for any pools to be open

They regards themselves highly and in ranks with Disneyland*eye roll* If you’re there through timeshare, they endlessly remind you that you will not be able to revisit due to their “high demand” Our unit in the Regal Vistas surely had not been checked upon for a while, the DST on the clocks were all behind and there was dust on counters There was a slight ladybug infestation (wasn’t enough to bother us, but there was definitely more than a handful during our 3 day visit) The unit had NO tissues at all but we didn’t bother with the front desk since we didn’t want to hear that we weren’t allowed to revisit in 4 years once again FYI – from what I’ve read other reviews saying, this is the ONLY resort we’ve ever stayed at that charges their own separate “resort fees” on top of whatever else you’ve paid for They even tried to charge a $50 key fee if the owner doesn’t arrive before any of the other guests on the trip arrive first (I have never heard of such a ridiculous rule) They literally make you doing everything at checkout, pull off bed sheets, run dishwasher, pile all towels, turn off all lights, turn down thermostat, collect all trash, etc At that point I feel like you’re just short of being asked to clean the unit for them or you’ll get charged Checkout is a prompt 10am and check in is 4pm It’s not the worst place we’ve stayed at, but it’s far from the best I would definitely NOT stay here again

Nice place It’s a very large resort which has its pros and cons I didn’t love having to drive to the pool

Great place for young kids or older folks Not much to do for couples But there’s deer everywhere which is a lot of fun (Came in May) Very clean and relaxing Area is great for hiking, parks and caverns That said, I wouldn’t come here twice The resort has extra costs for almost all activities Pools are very nice but they close early and each closes one day midweek so you only have one crowded option It’s kept clean though and they do maintain a good website for info Happy with my visit

It’s a Hidden Gem!I found this place accidentally when I was looking for an inexpensive hotel to just crash out halfway to my destination I couldn’t believe a place with rooms under $100 could possibly have nine stars on hotelscom, but review after review recommend it and I booked it

Check-in was super easy and the clerk was very nice The lobby was very clean and it’s connected to what appears to be a lovely restaurant Right now the restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch, so I will amend this review if I eat thereWhen I entered the room I will admit that it had that musty smell that you get from motel rooms that don’t have the air conditioning on constantly, but once I figured out how to use the air conditioner, cooled the room, it was not noticeable I have a room with one queen, and get this, a small jetted tub! The room is immaculately clean, the bathroom is spacious and although the furniture does look a little old, it does not look dirty or wornOnce I got settled in my room, I decided to walk around the property and discovered the very cute pool area as well as two separate playgrounds for kids Behind the hotel is a really nice stream and if you get one of the larger rooms it has a back porch that you can sit back and enjoy a very beautiful and restful viewI will definitely stay here anytime I am making this trip, which I do at least once a year I hate giving it a good review though, because I don’t want to many people to find it! It’s that good

Very nice concept – U-shaped, village-style with rooms that are pie slice, V-shaped Rooms, clean, nice layout Great price

Only downside is the flies! None came into the room with me, but I killed 5! Better than mosquitoes, but still annoyingApparently, not a problem unique to my stay, as there is a fly swatter for the guests (see photo)I know fly paper is pretty tacky (pun intended), but would be nice to relax in the room without flies landing on your face

I visited the dining room at the Village in The service was excellent Everyone was friendly, polite and helpful

They have a small buffet and the food was great Their were several choices of meat and seafood The beef tips and gravy over rice were wonderful They also had an excellent salad bar, rolls and vegetables to choose from I would highly recommend this restaurant Be Enjoy!

Celebrated our first anniversary here and could not have been happier! This was my first time staying anlt a bed and breakfast and this was an experience worth remembering! The room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable, and could not have been more perfect! The entire bed and breakfast is styled so beautifully and my husband and I couldn’t help but take multiple pictures of our room and the building to show to our friends and family Breakfast was excellent! Kyle did a phenomenal job and was so pleasant and kind to us during our stay! 10 out of 10 would TOTALLY recommend, and definitely will return (Lord willing) Literally cannot say enough good things about this place!

Last night was our first night staying at the Holiday Inn in Harrisonburg VA We DID NOT have a good experience We woke up to find bed BUGS crawling in our bed

We addressed the issue to the manager and were told we would not be getting refunded until a exterminator came into our room to confirm it After showing the lady at the front desk the alive bed bug and having a video of it crawling on our bed The lady at the front desk was very rude about the whole situation and seemed not to care about what had happened at all I have a 7 month old baby that slept in THAT SAME BED with us last night Still didn’t bother the manger or the lady at the desk We had to leave all of our bags there DEFINITELY WONT BE BACK This is not a place to stay and if you have stayed don’t return!

Whom ever the woman was working the front desk, ya may want to hold onto her Her customer service was so very inviting My son said to me that she was so very kind & boy did he nail it

My only complaint is that the shower door was broke & had to rig it with a towel to keep it closed to prevent a flood from happening & the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open & this was room 106 other than that, I LOVE staying with Holiday Inn express & suits When on the road that what we look for I will drive until we find one Thank you so very much ma’am and I’m just so sorry I didn’t get her name
