The hotel is nice and they definitely had a great breakfast for free & nice pool/hot tub My 1st room, the iron board/iron shelf unit and sheet rock all over the area We switch room

No major problem though My only true complaint was the tiny balcony If they had a sliding door instead of one the opened out then we could’ve squeezed 2 chairs out there Sad cause the views are lovely Over all it was a nice, comfortable hotel with great views

Stephanie Lessmann

There is a nice view, and it’s close to downtown BUT there is nothing walking distance, not even water in the rooms, no food at the hotel, AC is SUPER loud and there was random hair all over the carpet! We stayed for 4 nights, on the third day we wondered why they didn’t clean our room… We asked and apparently that is a service you need to ask for

It was in the afternoon, so we asked if we could at least get fresh towels – nope, had to wait until the next morning Save yourself the trouble and stay at an Airbnb

Rachel Wolffbrandt

We switched to Springhill after one night at the LaQuinta and it was so nice! The desk staff was accommodating and extremely friendly Everything was clean and stocked And it was better priced than other surrounding hotels

The breakfast was better and they kept restocking until breakfast ended at 9 which was great! I used the laundry room which was clean, the machines worked great, and I felt confident leaving the laundry room knowing there was video surveillance Overall it was a great experience

Overall the hotel was phenomenal Beautiful lobby, awesome valet, really cool furniture and decor We booked a corner suite for our anniversary, and the room was really nice

Very spacious, comfy bed, had a record player, really cool furniture and decor The courtyard and Frannie and the Fox were great, really enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine My overall experience was 5 starsI do have some complaints that I hope the management will address- water in the shower was just kind of warm (room 324), never got hot- handles to the bathroom were loose and banged up, and the sliding door sometimes didn’t stay closed- would have liked to have coffee in room- housekeeping didn’t come the first day (full disclosure I took a 3 hour nap in the afternoon and had the do not disturb sign on) Then on our last day they knocked on our door twice before 11am checkout which made me feel kind of rushedI’d stay here again or recommend it to a friend Although for the price some might find the above quibbles a turn off for $500/night

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday and I felt so bad that he wasted his money When we arrived we were told the room wasn’t ready so we left our items with valet and walked around for a bit Valet was AMAZING! They were so kind, helpful and seriously the best part of the hotel

When we came back to check on our room around 4:30 our room still wasn’t ready and the front desk staff didn’t care that we needed to get ready for our dinner reservation They were not very kind throughout our stay We finally got them to switch our room Why have a check in time if it isn’t accurate especially if you would charge us for checking out late At least put something on the website that check in times could be delayed When we got to the room, certain light switches didn’t work, no coffee in the room but we had mugs? When we inquired about finding some place to purchase drinks for the room we were scoffed at because this place didn’t have vending machines Overall for the price you pay per night this hotel is absolutely missing many key details, like customer service!! The location is perfect but we wouldn’t stay here nor recommend it I only give it any stars because the valets were the absolute best!

Great European boutique hotel Loved the architecture, decor, and vibe! Spacious king suite with urban European decor, and a super comfortable mattress! Very nice lobby and terrific location in the heart of downtown Loved the restaurant and it’s ambiance, with both indoor and outdoor sophistication and charm

The cafe was spacious and inviting with huge windows and very good coffee My only suggestion is adding more healthy breakfast options The hotel manager couldnt have been nicer, and the service was excellent We can’t wait to return!!

So I hate giving a bad review but I disliked this hotel so much, I checked out the next dayTo start on a positive note, the staff are beyond lovely and nice I had an issue at check in and they were very patient and helpful, resolving the issue quickly

The staff seemed to genuinely like working there and working with each other which is a huge plus And the location is great as a home base while you explore CharlestonMy concern is with the room I stayed in A lot of the hotels in the area are older and get a lot of traffic so I ignored some of the lack of updated features I mean realistically I just need a clean bed to sleep on But therein lies the problemTo avoid going into great detail, I found multiple things in my room that grossed me out Black mold in the vent being one of them, as well as some unsettling stains on the bed and the curtainsI’m avoiding going into great detail because I’m hoping that this was a one-time thing and that this room maybe just didn’t get the care that it needed before I checked inI will say that I do believe the hotel needs to be cautious about their ventilation, but also when you’re paying hundreds of dollars for a room, stains, dirty sheets and black mold shouldn’t be presentI’m giving it 3 stars and not lower because I feel like this oversight can be a pretty easy fix and with how nice and helpful the staff was, I believe that this issue can be rectified

This place blows Started with the toilet not working Next was the batteries and electrical ties in the drain

How did I find them? The sink filled up and when I hit the garbage disposal I heard the noise Reached in and wished I hadn’tNo extra rooms Manager left Final touch were the lights kicking on outside making it difficult for my toddler to sleep This place sucks Only redeeming thing was the absolutely lovely young Indian gentleman working the front as well as the rest of the staff The young guy was patient and very professional as well as kind Cleaning staff and front desk were hard working and extremely friendly This is clearly an ownership issue

Nesheba

We were greeted with a warm welcome from 3rd shift ( intern) who waited until we finally arrived from the airport to do his Audit

as an assistant GMyou are very blessed to have an Auditor with the same morale as the 1st and 2nd shiftthe morning server was very pleasantthe staff in general was exceptionalthe hotel was very beautiful in itselfand I loved the wheel of Reward Points at the front desk brilliant! All in all our stay was was perfect!!Thank you for a great experience!

This hotel was absolutely fantastic! I was here for 3 days for a leadership meeting and my bed was soft with the many feather pillows, very clean and spacious room with artistic elements The hotel also has delicious food (Lenoir restaurant: try the catfish and pimento stuffed martini) and offered wine offerings in the evenings but just note, because this hotel is in an awesome location to the shops, you will need to book in advance I chose to valet park instead of self parking so I wouldn’t be concerned with worrying about my vehicle

Michele Vold

I must write this review if our beloved Renaissance Charleston This was our fourth stay at the hotel starting from the time it opened I read some of the more negative comments before we left home this trip and I was worried

The last time we were here was about 3 years ago At the time the hotel had a whimsical and very appealing decor The artwork, furniture and accessories were fabulous It had a restaurant open all day where we had breakfast on occasion Yes, the hotel has remodelled and it is not as attractively done as it had been Yrs, the Dining Room that served breakfast now is set up like a Starbucks which had interesting things that are prepared and warmed There is a dinner restaurant that must be good because people not staying in the hotel ( locals) choose it Yes, the rooms are small and storage is a problem but we are here now for 7 days and doing fine!HOWEVER, and you MUST read on 1 There is no hotel I have been to (and we are world travellers) where you will get better service From the bell staff to the front desk to the housekeepers, there is a pervasive kindness and desire to make you happy 2 Though the rooms are not enormous, the beds and linens are the most comfortable I have been in in a hotel 3 The location is the best in Charleston! You are steps from King Street and steps from Meeting Street giving you easy walking access to everything I feel like I am in a residence and not a hotel We are from Chicago and we have travelled the world so I hope you can read my opinion and take it seriously If something was off, I have no doubt that a quick call to the front desk would solve the problem Don’t ignore this hotel because of a few unhappy people

Michael Ping

What a wonderful hotel Everything was perfect The staff was very nice

Dana was a great Navigator She helped us with reservations and helpful tips The hotelIs in a great location Everything is no more than a 10 or 15 minute walk (or less) The coffee shop was also very convenient We appreciated the upgrade since we had two teenage boys and the extra room space was awesome I have to mention the valet staff They were fantastic Always polite and quick

As this was our first time visiting Charleston, I couldn’t have been happier with the accommodations We arrived early and they bent over backwards to make sure our room was ready ASAP When we walked in I was stunned with what I saw

As someone who has spent a lot of time in hotel rooms for work, I really appreciated the full kitchen and layout of the room…it was actually more like an apartment…I would seriously live there It’s right on the main drag and within walking distance of just about everything downtown Charleston has to offer Definitely will plan on staying here again in the future, 10/10!

Starting off to say the suite was ok Good location, cool concept People at the desk were nice

Things I disliked:1 The fact that I received information for suite 301 when someone else was already there My family and I walked in another party in the suite we were given (received email with access code) The other party was cool with it but I felt pretty annoyed given that I was in town, after driving half a day, to show my in laws a good time Luckily someone was still in the office an hour past their close time so they gave us the access code for another suite (they said I had suite 302, even though my email confirmation says 301) I wasn’t even apologized to I was just told I was in the wrong place I sent a complaint to the third party booking site – then someone from this hotel called me to apologize2 The rooms are nice but not well maintained There are stains and dents all over the place3 Cockroaches I saw one review about them but figured it was a one off I didn’t tell anyone about the cockroaches until now – didn’t want my in laws to be disgusted with where we stayed4 The fact that we have to do the dishes in a hotel, especially when we’re not getting daily service5 Didn’t have a nice shower once There is some sort of leak so some water goes around the rainfall head and then drips back down onto you (was a constant cold stream – it turned into drops when I took the photo)Would give 1-2 stars but the location made it better

Dan Lee

Pros- Location is excellent, room was nice and cleanCons- Let me tell you a story about a dehumidifier The AC in our unit had a sign near the thermostat saying it was old and to not drop the temperature below 72 degrees or it would freeze itself, that would have been no issue

Additionally, they had placed a dehumidifier in the main hall to help pull the moisture out of the unit This dehumidifier has to be tan at all times because the AC simply was not functioning as it should have been This is no exaggeration but that dehumidifier pulled out so much moisture that it needed to be emptied every 6 hours… that’s 4 times a day It actually became this fun little chore we would take turns withAll in, nice place and good location but for $330 a night fix your freaking AC unit This “fix” could not have made you guys look more cheap

The sweetest little inn there ever was! This place is so cute and the staff are very friendly and helpful They even let us keep our bags here the day we checked out so we could explore more Location, location, location

The PERFECT location to walk all over Charleston Able to walk to restaurants, the market, shops etc Room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom nice and had a mini fridge too! Spacious room and fair cost Loved our experience here and will absolutely be back Highly recommend!!! One note it is down a little alley/sidewalk so may be a litter harder to find for some at night The gas lanterns are adorable and I just looked it up on Google to see the entrance outside and was easy then 🙂

Jenna Hill

I booked my parents a Cathedral Suite here for three nights over Valentine’s Day and they absolutely loved it! They said the room was very spacious, clean, and very southern inspired! They attended two of the wine & cheese events, plus had breakfast brought to there room every morning! They loved the location and the restaurants in the area, plus the parking rate was very affordable compared to other hotels you may see My parents had a great stay and could not have said better things about their stay!

Fulton Lane Inn was a quaint hotel in the center of Charleston You can’t beat the location However, there are some negatives that need to be addressed

Of note, we were on the third floor which is the top floorFirstly, I did order a single red rose to be placed in the room They did not follow the order, but refunded me the $10 without questionSecondly and more importantly, the room’s climate was poor We got in very late (1am) and were looking forward to a cool room to go to sleep in The room was in the high 70s and very muggy We turned the air conditioning to its lowest setting but the mugginess seemed to never go away Secondly, I can only describe the smell of the room as very musty and this smell did not go away after we turned the air onLastly, and this may be specific to our room but there was a lot of noise from what seemed to be air conditioning piping above our room It sounded like a chattering and it was almost constant It seemed to go away once the air turned offWe really enjoyed the location and the uniqueness of the hotel compared to big name hotels But, the negatives will deter me from staying with them again

Great location! Front desk staff very pleasant! However, the room smells musty; it desperately needs fresh air There is No linen service, even for a 5/day stay I was told housekeeping would clean room on day 3; but this did not happen

The carpeted hallway has not been vacuumed during my stay The elevator is extremely hot & stuffy I would recommend bring your own disinfectant if wipes & spray, a room air freshener, Room did have a small room fridge & single cup coffee maker Beds were comfortable, but sheets & pillows did not smell clean & fresh Come prepared with your cleansing wipes, disinfectant spray & air fresheners & you will enjoy your stay here If this seems like too much for you, I’d stay somewhere else

Kem Schultz

Appearances can be deceiving! Nice lobby, great location, very friendly front desk staff and I thought the hotel was clean I thought the room was fine, set up was a little unusual with back of the bed facing the entry door, but again seemed clean Best thing about this hotel was the bed! Super soft and slept great

Here is where it fell apart and reason for the 1-star rating The room is HOT and HUMID I cranked the AC down to the max allowed 65 and it was a sauna Desperately in need of a shower…worst water pressure I’ve ever seen! It was so bad I laughed If you are a water pressure nut, like me, this place is not for you!Forgot to mention there is no TV service When I was checking in there was a guest leaving and they were complaining about no TV during their 5-day stay I should have paid attention but thought how long does it take to fix TV?!Don’t believe the reviews of the in-lobby restaurant, it isn’t open Sun-Thu There is a bar, but no food during the week Now let’s talk breakfast It’s available, but resembles what you would receive at a chain hotel continental breakfast Very basic AND, it’s $13! Save your money and eat out somewhereOverall I have mixed feelings Love the bed, hated everything else I won’t be back to this Charleston hotel and I hope this review helps you make a more informed decision

Wendy Rollins

The staff was friendly and seemed accommodating However we had to ask for our trash to be taken out and we had to ask for fresh linens but never received them We stayed 5 days and booked 2 rooms

They told us they had a linen shortage but from what I seen this was likely because they only clean rooms when someone checks out and don’t bother to swap out the linensThere was a bad smell in the elevator which I believe was dirty air filter they tried to mask the smell with spray only making it worse The rooms looked clean as long as you don’t look too closely They do have a restaurant and bar and no complaints there The rooms have been updated and are nice The suite is very spacious 10 minutes from downtown and 20 from folly beach If you stay here I suggest bringing your own linens and some lysol wipes Otherwise great option for a more affordable price than downtown

Absolutely wonderful hotel! I recently visited Charleston with my boyfriend and we stayed in two different hotels- the restoration was by far superior and definitely a place we will returnBreakfast is delivered in a basket to your room every day and it is delicious! The pool is perfect and the restaurant is fantastic as well They also have a free wine and cheese happy hours daily and a jeep shuttle that brings you anywhere downtown

This hotel is the perfect location because it is right in downtown Charleston and was actually cheaper than our first hotel that was significantly farther and didn’t include all of those great perks that the restoration doesI cannot recommend this hotel enough- the other guests who we spoke to felt the same way!

Ashley Thom

The Restoration is what all boutique hotels wish to be The accommodations were beautiful and clean! The A/C in our room was cold and welcomed after the day in the heatWhat really stands out about The Restoration is their attention to small details, which made a huge impact

The drink service in the room and morning breakfast picnic baskets were great Always having cold, fresh water in the room was awesome! We enjoyed the Wine and cheese in the afternoons Also, the jeep to bring us to dinner was a really fun touch! The staff was so charming, kind, helpful and welcoming! I can’t say enough great things about this hotel and our stay!

My husband and I stayed at the Loutrel for two nights We are locals and have never stayed in the Historic Charleston area We were in the Lounge King Room

We had a great time and felt at home the entire weekend Everyone was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed The amenities were top notch! We felt very special and pampered! The property was magnificent and beautiful! One of the Top places we have ever stayed

Brittany Sutton

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Loutrel The room was very nice and clean, with a stocked mini fridge and snacks that were all complimentary There was a nice range of options for drinks in the mini fridge with several sodas and sparkling waters

We were given a complimentary beverage at check in and there was always water/lemon water/ and tea available by the elevators The rooftop terrace and the bar in the lobby were good places to have a drink All of the staff members we interacted with were extremely helpful and nice, especially Worship and Emily! Valet parking was quick to bring us our car if we wanted to go somewhere We would absolutely stay here again for the staff, amenities, and quality of the room! Also a fantastic location just a block away from many restaurants on Bay Street and the city market

Tyler Nystrom

My wife and I came to Charleston to celebrate our first wedding anniversary We were only staying one night, so we wanted to find a hotel close to the market We found The Loutrel and really fell in love with how it looked, as well as it’s proximity to the market and shopping center

The hotel was easy to find and the staff were extremely accommodating Valet and check-in went smoothly When we booked the room, we asked for a room on a higher floor, and we were given a room on the top floor, which gave us a lovely view (we had a corner room with windows) of Downtown CharlestonThe room itself felt sophisticated and romantic The bathroom looked and felt fancy There were complimentary snacks and drinks in our room for us, which we hadn’t had before when staying at other hotels The room Itself was very clean and neatA complimentary breakfast was also provided, with options to either eat in the lobby, our room, or outside on the rooftop lounge We ate out on the lounge, as it was something we wanted to see during our stay It gave us another lovely view of Charleston, and a moment for us to take some nice pictures togetherOverall, it was by far the best hotel experience my wife and I have had together We agreed the price was definitely worth it, from the location and quality of The Loutrel itself

Charleston Marriott is quite niceThe rooms are clean, and have a nice aesthetic It’s nice having a gym with more than just a set of dumbbells

The downstairs restaurant is also nice, although I didn’t eat there, others seemed to have liked the food and the atmosphere seemed relaxed in passing The staff were very courteousMy only issue is the parking (which I included into service) Even as a guest, you have to pay to park via an app (or on a website, which is not very difficult to use to be fair) that you will see on signs around the building You can also pay to have your vehicle parked by a valet Either way the parking fee was a bit aggravating It may have been my fault when reserving the hotel, that I didn’t see that there was a parking fee However, I felt this was unnecessary When you’re paying in the hundreds to stay at a hotel per night, paying for parking feels like a punch in the gut And with the impressive size of the building, if you park at night, you will likely have a ways to walk to get to your room, which can be frustrating when you’re carrying a lot of luggage or gear for work daily

Hotel is very good a little further from historic downtown but we knew that The lobby and common spaces are maintained excellently Breakfast buffet is reasonable for the price and kids are half price

Rooms are well proportioned and we have a sunset view over the water Bathrooms are small and I have been told that it is the same for all rooms Carpet in my room appears old and has a moist smell Perhaps need a change

The Spectator hotel and their exceptional staff truly deserve a 6 star rating! The location , amenities, wonderful bar , decor, cleanliness and spacious bathroom size were all 5 star but what really puts the Spectator in the exceptional column is the staff! Genuine friendliness combined with professionalism and a focus on customer service -a rare and special combination that truly sets them apartIt was a special birthday trip and the staff went above and beyond Starting off with champagne in the room on ice -beautiful Crystal glasses and ending with a giant birthday balloon and beautiful cake made of flowers

Thank you for an unforgettable stay ! We are already planning our return !

We all have experienced first hand how much worse the service industry has gotten since Covid That’s not the case for the Spectator My wife and I stayed there for half a week and they made us feel like royalty

In every area they went above and beyond, the saddest part for us was checking out We highly, highly recommend you stay there We want to thank our butler Alexander our valet and handler Mark, Chuck, and the entire staff for making us feel so special Don’t miss out on this experience!

This review is way too late We stayed here during Covid, and the entire experience, staff, butler, Buler!!, location, room, cleanliness etc; we’re the best we’ve ever experienced This place tops the best of the best and with gusto

Please don’t change We will be back, and we rave about you here in the DC area Thank you for a great experience Our butler was a middle aged man with the best personality and such a charismatic attitude This was our best hotel experience by far, and that tops The Ritz, the Seasons, the Red Fox Inn in Virginia, and any other fancy hotelsBravo

We enjoyed our stay at The Dewberry The staff was very professional and they looked for opportunities to make our stay warm and welcoming at all times Never a moment we had to ask for anything

You get an A plus for hospitality Breakfast was very nice Our room was clean and comfortable Your location is fantastic Everything was perfect and we will be returning when we come back to Charleston

Considering how much we paid + how talked up this hotel was, the room was okay at best No smart TVs, make up mirror didn’t work after being replaced 2 times, limited (VERY) closet space, gross carpeting I have super high standards when it comes to hotels and this one just didn’t have many of the “basics” that come along with a high price tag

Spa was also okay at best, relaxation room only … no sauna, pools, nothing special Gym was a tiny closet!

Stayed here on our honeymoon, it was a perfect experience in many ways At the time we stayed here (fall 2021) there was no restaurant, though there were several bars with food options I hope they have put a restaurant in since then, check that if it’s important to you!Staff here went above and beyond to make our stay a special one, they were always reachable and courteous

The concierge desk had plenty of helpful tips for things to do both on the peninsula and elsewhereWe stayed during the week, it was pretty calm and quiet during this time Come Thursday night, though, the weekend crowd started to come in There was a notable difference in the noises in the halls and rooms around ours during that time, nothing worth reporting or complaining about, but a far cry from the tranquil calm we experienced during the weekWe tested several spa experiences – the massage we can recommend and the Carolina wrap we suggest skipping (not much more than a rote application of lotions)Location was great – we were able to walk pretty much anywhere on the peninsula, and we had a great view of the bridgeIf money is no problem for you or if you are looking for a nice fancy treat, we suggest the Dewberry!

I have been a Diamond Hilton member for about 6 years now I have stayed at a lot of Hilton hotels This is the first time I have felt like I needed to write a review

Very poor experience and would not recommend this place to anyone Started off by checking in and going up to my room and someone still sleeping in the room I asked if we could switch to a regular room (I had booked water front) and they said they didn’t have anything available They finally found a room after waiting for about 20 minutes in the lobby The breakfast situation here is a disaster They charge you different amounts for cold buffet or hot breakfast buffet Hilton’s typically are very easy for breakfast even if you have to pay it is always very organized and an easy process I used a voucher to the restaurant and still was charged for breakfast on my credit card All in all, the worst experience I have ever had with a Hilton hotel I will not be coming back here!

Good hotel Great location Nice friendly staff

Only issues were some daytime construction noise during their exterior renovation, pool was open but in my opinion unsafe due to men working overhead, and over billing for breakfast during our weekend stay The billing issue was resolved promptly when I called them from home after I noticed the issue Overall, I would stay there again due to the location It will be a great choice when their renovation is complete

The 1 Cal King was ultra modern, private, very clean, cozy and comfortable I stayed in July and was surprised at how little I had to navigate around other people (no crowded elevators) The parking deck is private and felt safe for a young woman traveling alone

Loved this view from my room too I walked down to hang out at the docks one night and it was peaceful (nobody bothered me!)

If you understand this is an older property and set expectations accordingly, it is a gem The location across the river makes you as close to the city without being in the city and you also get easier access to west Ashley and Folly Beach Of course the iconic circular style of this hotel has gone out of style, but since it is across the river it has a landmark quality and the location sitting between the road is also cool for easy entry and exit

Staff was professional Rooms have been updated to the best of their ability with lots of plugs, standard furniture, and better lightingRestaurant on top won’t impress for most, but is easy to get seated and the view is spectacular Could be one of the best in the city The lunch buffet on Sunday is worth a visit Affordable and a mix of healthy items and classic American dishesIt can attract a rowdy crowd on some nights, but that is just how Charleston is You will get drunken tourists anywhere you stayWould recommend staying here Very easy access and meets the brand standards

Renovated rooms and free parkingWe like the hard flooring in the (small) room but had problem with the toilet, which did not flush well The front desk was helpful Their not-free breakfast buffet was not as good as free breakfast from other 3-star hotels

Free parking is nice; the exit from the parking lot connects to a highway (in only one direction) so it is hard (and dangerous) to exitOverall a solid 40 rating We will book it again when the price is good (we booked this time for a high price because the prices of the hotels in downtown were even higher)

This establishment is the only place I stay at when traveling to Charleston I absolutely love these people!!! My first visit was when I was required to stay locally following my kidney transplant at MUSC After being discharged following a major surgery, they gave me the compassion and friendliness I needed

The smiles, kind words, affirmations truly helped me Last week I visited for the first time in a long time and they remembered me and my family! I have never had issues with my room, service, etc The location is close to downtown and offers an amazing panoramic view of their beautiful riverfront A drive to the beach is short and delightful They always give me ideas about where to eat, things to do and places to go (always dine where the locals dine!) They are in a great location, so going out is never a long trip I’ll be back in June!

If you’re going to stay in Charleston, stay at The Mills House Absolute perfection! Eating, shopping and sightseeing all in walking distance from the hotel I’ll never stay anywhere else

The staff and accommodations are top notch 🤌 Rooms clean, spacious with beautiful views We really enjoyed our stay My only regret is we didn’t try the in-house restaurant Always smelled amazing Great price point too

Great experience! The Bell Captain and Valet were wonderful! (Seth and John) They held my car, gave me some suggestions for the area, and were super nice! Housekeeping was also quite fab given they allowed me a extra long stay at checkout so I could hit a deadline with work Wonderful! I think they may be undergoing renovations soon

I am sure it will be gorgeous!

I have been a long-standing, frequent guest at the Beach Club Thus, we chose this hotel to stay at for our upcoming wedding this weekend We had a couple from out of town stay with us and their flight arrived late

We enjoyed some time talking with them once they arrived, and were then greeted by hotel staff to tell us to “be quiet” (for details, this was shortly after midnight) To add context, I have stayed at many hotels and do my absolute best to respect other guests and avoid being a disturbance, so I genuinely appreciate the acknowledge and feedback from staff when warranted At Beach Club, their interruption was not warranted and without meritFurthermore, we were once again disturbed for being loud yet staff failed to provide adequate documentation that’s guests sign agreeing to any posted quiet times or “non-talking” periods The next morning, I went to the hotel lobby to address this issue with their staff I was met with mockery and disrespect from a bitter, old receptionist As a result, I asked to speak with the GM whom was polite and understanding yet quick to provide excuses Additionally, the staff cited the hotel as being fully booked but availability is showing online, the parking lot is merely empty, and they still condensed guests into a congested areaOverall, this hotel puts on a front of being 4-5 stars but their staff is extremely rude, disrespectful, and non-accommodating They fail at their most coveted task, which is customer service I am highly disappointed in Beach Club and will be advising friends and family against staying there in the future They had us wait 25 minutes to check in since their employees didn’t want to do their job, they failed to provide water to their guests, and treated us with disrespect throughout our stay thus far

A generally fantastic facility to stay at, from the rooms to the pool to the views Very clean and beautifully decorated Also, very convenient to downtown Charleston (10 minute drive), not to mention the Fish House restaurant and Patriot Point Maritime Museum, both next door within walking distance

Or, you can take the water taxi directly from the hotel pier to downtown CharlestonA few downers were the apparent lack of enough towels, both in our room and at the pool Also, the mini fridge in our room was extremely mini, not really able to fit much at all, and never really got cold A small microwave in the room would’ve been nice too Still, we would definitely go back

matt m

It’s a good hotel The gate at the front so annoying The brown from the balcony is so good

The hot tub wasn’t working when we were there unfortunately The pool is big so there’s plenty of room to swim around A bar near the pool for drinks They will let you take bikes out and ride around which is cool Not really a beach just a patch of grass with sand on top of it The best part is the little robot who roams the lobby

Our stay was wonderful Staff were friendly and very accommodating Every thing was sparkling clean and fresh

The room was excellent, including the bed Breakfast at the Bistro was so delicious, with healthy choices The veiw of all the boats in the marina was spectacular I snapped lots of photos to use for some future paintingsThank you for making our stay so special

Karen Hampton

The outdoor deck on the water made this city hotel almost feel like a resort And you are truly only 5 mins from anywhere in the city – we were visiting The Citadel The location is great for driving since it’s literally on a highway ramp

The whole “u-turn” experience was a bit novel, though! Note that because this hotel is on a highway, there is absolutely no way to walk to anything Overall nice experience and would definitely stay here again

Here for a Bluegreen update – all staff have been friendly and the location is great Jill Gonzales on sales gets a special shout out My one complaint is that despite us being on site for six days we had a first day presentation

Going down to concierge (presentatíons are done at other site – Lodge Alley Inn) I had no luck trying to reschedule when my partner got violently ill That was after I called every day for a week to confirm schedule and was promised a call back and got radio silence, and despite a morning request was given 12:30 (requiring shuttle to be taken at 11:30 and long delay upon arrival)

We loved the hotel, the rooms and the service we received Parking is not the easiest, we parked across the street at the Hyatt’s parking garage There are alot of shops and restaurants around

Definitely walking distance to everything in Charleston from this location We were not happy with the people that were around the location There are alot of college age kids that are rude and obnoxious, literally just shoving you off sidewalks and calling you names We were wanted by the bicycle taxi’s to stay out of the parks at night because the homeless populationThe staff and the hotel are amazing It’s just the people around the location

Alice Rogers

The room and staff were nice However, we had to spend almost $90 for parking in a lot across the street with a 3 night stay Each time we asked for valet for our car, we were told that they did not have room

I decided I would get a Coke to go with our popcorn only to find out that this property has NO vending machines!!! Soif you want any snacks or drinks, you best get them before you check in This was our first and last stay at this property
