I travel for a living, so I have some perspective At check-in, Amanda was very professional, courteous and friendly Joseph, also at the front desk was beyond kind and accommodating and so graciously offered to print a document for me

Twice! Although it’s currently being renovated, the noise level was at a minimum The room was very clean and housecleaning did an exceptional job as well Bed was very comfortable Pool area was super clean AND it was right off the highway and centrally located to everything Well done

Decent breakfast, however front desk woman should be enrolled in a course on customer service quality, she also needs an attitude adjustmentBed not so comfortable and should come with a ladder it’s so highLobby restroom hand wash faucet pulled from sink

Every had sanitizer in common areas emptySo many added tax’sWould not recommend

Visiting for business and I have found Joseph at the front desk is the nicest and most accommodating man I have ever had the pleasure to do business with!! This is a standard hotel, everything you need nothing you don’t I can’t complain and I have been very happy Again I have to mention Joseph at the front desk, making the visit memorable by being very friendly, welcoming and willing to address any issues with a smile

Wish i had to come back more often

Rooms and staff were good Keep in mind a few things Some rooms don’t have closets

Breakfast is a meat, eggs, and muffins/yogurt/grits Juices were very water downed Missing a few amenities in the room like tissues (had empty boxes in one room but full ones in another) and pillows for pull out couch Staff is very friendly and helpful Location is nice too I would come back here again

Nat C

Does not even deserve a rating Asked for handicapped accessible room, booked weeks ago Was give room I can’t even get into the shower

Front desk was horrible and no help Her excuse was she was out all week and just came back today! What does that have to do with my room being given to someone elsethen was told they had plumbing issues and some rooms not available IIt SMELLS horrible in the halls and the rooms Dirty stained walls and broken furniture OVER PRICES Not worth the money Holiday Inn Express would be better

Cheri Cobb

Nice location and the breakfast was decent (minus the expired milk) Once we entered the room we noticed lots of hair on the bathroom floor as if the bathroom was halfway cleaned or rushed I asked the front desk lady to have it cleaned while we stepped out, but of course, it was not done

As soon as we got off the elevator there was trash piled up in the hallway which had the elevators stink (see pic) The pool also closed very early, very strange very inconvenient There was also a mirror behind the door in the main room Yes a glass mirror right behind the metal door handle I was not a huge fan of this property

The rooms were very clean, the employees were very nice and helpful but we stayed there 2 weeks and in the last weekend there were a bunch of teenagers running, yelling, slamming doors over and over and over again and playing basketball until almost 1 am I called the front desk around 11 pm and asked the gentleman that answered the phone to please go upstairs ro the third floor to hear all the yelling and basketball playing and put an end to it because my sister and I had to get up early to be at the hospital for training at 7 am Well we waited and waited for the man at the front desk to go upstairs or call them but he literally did nothing and the noise finally stopped a little past 1 am

So the next morning when we were leaving looking like zombies I stopped to tell the lady at the front desk and she already knew what I was going to say and she said “I did hear what happened, but don’t worry they’re all gone” So I said that if it happened again to move us to another floor because we were there to sleep But the rest of the time before that weekend everything was perfect

Rooms were very clean, spacious and accommodating You can’t beat the great price Room came with a nice little kitchenette and complimentary coffee

Breakfast is complimentary too and offers a nice variety Staff was very friendly and helpful Plenty of parking and for military families relocating it has places to park small moving trucks Located right next to the golf course Will definitely return

Nick Skirvin

All was well until the last night when the manager got on my group’s case about wearing masks, saying she was the manager She didn’t look like the manager I spoke with the day prior who said she’d had no complaints (impressive for a group of high school students)Roach as long as a 110v plug crawling up the wall was a nice touch, but how many did I not see?

Bob Builder

Overall, reasonable accommodations for the price over my >1 month stay Three issues: repairs, animals, housekeepingRepairs – upon checking in, I had multiple repair requests involving cords on blinds falling off, fridge replacement for door closure issue and leaking, bathtub drain clogging There were four functional dryers for a hotel with roughly 90 rooms, others were out of service for the entirety of my stay

Animals – outdoor trash is filled with raccoons, you have to take out your own trash, and I would often throw the trash (sometimes miss the garbage bin entirely) to avoid contracting rabies from an uninvited bite Indoors, I saw fruit flies if I left food in my room trash for more than 1 day, so I made an effort to take this out daily Beetles were seen by the AC A lizard was seen by my fridge Maintenance addressed my pest issues in the room, but the raccoon issue remained This is a health and safety concernHousekeeping – upon check-in the front desk informed me housekeeping will service my room every 4th day, the standard note left in each room from the GM states they’ll swing by every 3rd day In actuality, they came every 5th day I requested on three separate occasions for housekeeping to come on certain days of the week due to using my room for meetings on particular dates; this was not respected even onceI would encourage management to address maintenance/pest issues by pre-treating/pre-inspecting rooms, hiring exterminator for raccoon issue, and speak with housekeeping to streamline services for our active duty populations

Absolutely enjoyed my stay The hotel staff was extremely friendly My family really enjoyed Joshua in the hotel restaurant

He was extremely friendly and polite He is the reason we ate at the hotel for dinner both nights of our stay The room was great We had no issue The only downfall was the pool was extremely cold Our daughter is a water baby so that was a bummer for us

Debbie Aubrey

This hotel is close to the Hwy,which on one hand is good, but it as also means the noise level is higher The room itself was nice just as advertised on the website

It was also nice to be able to have a hot complementary breakfast again( Post Covid) The staff were nice I did see staff wiping down door handles, tables, lamp lights All staff wore masks You do have to ask for house cleaning if staying longer than one day

Stacey Deal

This hotel is one of our favorite Hilton brand hotels and we love staying there! The only thing this hotel does different than the rest of the other Hilton hotels, is you cannot go to the pool whenever you want! You have to make a reservation! I know that the pool is indoors, but again other Hilton hotels in the area with an indoor pool do not require a reservation! The hot tub was not hot! It was just as cool as the pool! Other than those two things, it was great! Breakfast is fantastic and the omelets are delicious!

Peter

The property was clean The front desk clerk was outstanding when we arrived She had a line of about four groups checking in at once

She did a great job of moving everyone through efficiently, while still making each guest feel welcome Breakfast was as expected for a holiday inn express Good spot for a reasonable room for an overnight stop

Wendy Vause

Front desk was very friendly Got off of the elevator to go to our room and the hallway stinks Walked into our room and did our typical inspection before getting settled in

There was a long hair on the vanity Toilet seat and toilet tank had hair on them as well The carpet in the room was very old, dirty and disgusting Bathroom floor was dirty Breakfast was horrible For hot food you had a choice of cheese omelette, sausage and make your own pancakes We were disappointed because we stayed at this same hotel in Tennessee and they had potatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs, and much more Issues with the elevator 4 floors with only 1 elevator Had to press the button multiple times to get it to stop on our floor We also got stuck in the elevator for a brief moment It stopped in the middle of our trip up to the room A big jolt caused juice to spill and the elevator stopped It then started back up and we got to our floor safely It was a very scary moment Very old hotel

Sonia Wilson-Crandall

This hotel DOES NOT have big trucking parking!! Called last night asked the hotel if they had semi truck parking And the lady at the desk Miss Lydia said that they did And I specifically told the Miss Lydia that my husband and I were in an 18 wheeler

And she said YES, that they did So when we got there she had us park in the back of the hotel But the next morning when we were getting ready to leave the property That’s when the chaos began It was such a tight squeeze all around trying to get out of the property Trying to get to the back of the property was not too bad But when trying to get out of the parking lot the next morning was awful! Then after my husband had jacked up some of the landscaping I had got out of the truck to take pictures Then That’s when the hotel manager had gotten rude with me Then the other lady who I believe was the assistant manager Had stated to me so rudely, that we should have known better! And when I told her that I was not the driver She then stated to me “Well you’re in the truck aren’t you?” So to keep from losing my cool I just walked away What a way to start your day We will never ever stay at another Holiday Inn Express again And the only reason why choose Holiday Inn’s is because these hotels are really clean So Nope Never Again! Miss Lydia should have never told us that you guys had semi truck parking Or else we would have never came to your hotel SmhAnd as for management being rude to me when I was not being rude to her Because I could have cussed out both of these ladies 6 ways from Sunday But I did not I just politely walked away So unless you are driving bobtail Do Not Trust It! When they tell you that they have 18 wheeler parking

The staff upon check in and in passing were very pleasant The gentleman checking us in was awesome and hilarious Was great talking to him

Cheered us up after a long day of travel The day and evening staff always gave a passing “hello” and would ask if everyone was going well or if we needed anythingThe ONLY reason I almost took 1 star off was due to the state of the tub It was pretty beat up I assume they are renovating, because the room, beds, TV and counters were ultra updated/in perfect condition The beds were probably the most comfortable I’ve EVER stayed in I usually don’t sleep well when traveling, but these beds changed that So I recommend overlooking the tub if you get that room (it was still perfectly functional) and just enjoy the remainder of your time By the time I was out of the tub, I forgot all about itBecause the hospitality, beds and rest of the room was perfect I don’t feel the need to knock stars off

Mimi Jones

This hotel was definitely amazing! And I love how the rooms match the pictures that they advertise online to a perfection! They were super clean no dust anywhere except for the AC vents, it was very dusty there so maybe they could clean the vents out or change the filters a bit more consistently (we ended catching colds because of this)Other than that our stay here was amazing and our housekeeper Kenneth was awesome and very attentive to us! He deserves a raise!

Courtney Cox

Overall, the hotel is fine You can tell it was once a really fabulous place but it is in need of a lot of TLC The rooms are pretty spacious, but housekeeping was not great

The rooms have hard floors with lighting around the perimeter of the bed, and as soon as the light turned on, there was trash and debris all over the floor, not to mention the 2 insects I had to kill in the roomthere is currently no on site restaurant or bar which was disappointing as it was one of the main reasons I booked (the direct website does mention that these amenities are closed, but 3rd party sites do not) The pool was nice and warm and very clean When I mentioned the cleanliness issues to the desk manager, I was offered some Best Western Points which is ok, but given what I paid for the room, I certainly expected just a higher overall standard All in all, if the price was right, I would consider staying again, but only if I inspected the room before agreeing to stay

This hotel is pretty good Very clean and new Breakfast is one of the best you’ll see for free breakfast

Staff is helpful They only downfall is they only clean your room if you ask by 830am Not great if you’re staying multiple days Hotel manager is not responsive to a request for a call back My boyfriend stepped on a roofing nail right next to their building and she ignored my request for a callback 3 times Not cool at all I expect better customer service from an establishment such as this

Ellen Graham

We loved our stay It was a home away from home The room was very quite, clean and our youngest son loved the view from the room of the pool, on the ground floor

We also enjoyed the continental breakfast, on-demand snacks, mini-fridge and Microwave (this was very needed in sterilizing baby bottles for our youngest); to enjoy our food in the room or the main facility when we had breakfast, or restaurant leftovers as a snack Hampton met all of our stay needsThe Staff was helpful, cordial and very accommodating Especially Madeline and Mary-Lynn When we needed extra Towels, a room refresh or coins for laundry – they we very helpful and friendly We sincerely look forward to a return to JAX Orange Park and will look forward to another stay if needed in your Hampton Inn Location The whole family enjoyed the stay very muchSincerely,The Grahams

David Fadule

I wish I could give it full stars like Hampton deserves The lady at the front desk was great and sweet like I would believe they should be The people in general were really nice and deserve their recognition

However, the iron had water left in it from the previous tenants The shower was slippery as if they left something in the bottom of it The picture frame and all had a dust collection on it for those who may be allergic to dust I will admit the only thing that looked really clean was the air unit and bed linen Other than that the breakfast was decent w/ buffet style cheese omelets, sausage, gravy & biscuits, and french toast strips There were also normal fruit and bagels

Suite had a kitchen, but microwave did not work The one appliance that I would have used I reported it and was directed to a community microwave down the hall

Appreciated CoVid measures in the room Phones and remotes wrapped, antibacterial wipes provided, etc Room was quiet Pillows were great Staff was friendly Easy access to I-295

Kelly Ruston

Very happy with our stay! Kitchenette was lovely, full sized fridge and all the extras including plates etc Nice large desk, comfy reclining chair next to the bed, and the bathroom was clean and spacious The key card reader was a little finicky to get into the room

There were two really lovely gazebos out back, both of which featured a grill along with seating Security patrolled outside overnight, so we felt very safe and weren’t concerned about our vehicle Location was great, easy on/off the highway and a few places to order delivery from

Leah LaBounty

I’ve stayed here for a couple of extended stays Rooms and common areas are always clean Rooms have kitchenettes and full size fridges which is awesome; everything worked well

Free laundry, little gym area, often a selection of food/snacks/beverages/travel size toiletries Staff are all friendly and helpful, and do a good job of keeping everything clean A lot of long term stay guests Couple different outdoor areas with grills, there is a little pond in the back The area is kinda walkable but not a ton of stuff in the immediate area No pool or anything but the beach is close Great location, easy to get all around Jax and surrounding areas, right off 95 and 202 Usually a pretty quiet area as well I don’t really have any complaints!

First and foremost, the staff was wonderful and friendly, check in-out was quick and easy My wife and I stayed on the 4th floor, room was spacious Those are the pros

The cons, i woke up the second night with bug bites on my arm, back and back of the neck It wasn’t from the bed because my wife and 2 year old son didn’t have any bites on them I did note that I took a nap on the couch I searched to see if there we’re bugs on the couch but due to the couch itself being dark and the lighting was poor (only 2 plug in lamps on both corners of the room) we couldn’t detect them The wall thermostat would show 70 but wouldn’t go lower then 74 Hot tub was out of order And when we arrived to our room, there was dirty Lenin’s and garbage bags by our door that didn’t get pick up till the following day This was my first bad experience with Homewood suites Usually really clean and no problems ever happen The staff was super nice and so was the night front desk lady

C. Selz

We arrived early and hung out by the pool while we waited for our room So cozy the poolside vibe was Rita at the front desk was very helpful and kind

Check in was seemless and appreciated The room was as advertised and we had no complaints It was clean and spacious The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! The hotel was a short Uber ride to the event downtown Highly recommend and we will be back

Dave Kuiil

Was provided a room by my property management company The customer service representative at Homewood Suites was less than helpful in the checkin process due to wanting to charge a premium for something that was already paid for When she enlisted the help of her supervisor the supervisor had a snippy attitude after I told her what the problem was

When I asked for her name she refused to give it and wasn’t wearing any identifying badges Her response was, “don’t worry about my name” They refused to speak to the property management company to rectify the situation They not only ended up charging us the premium for the room but also tried to charge an extra $200 Luckily my bank refused it probably to prevent fraud Once I got into the room it smelled like stale smoke Somebody didn’t abide by the no smoking room and they apparently didn’t have it properly cleaned after the last guest as a result I don’t feel like a guest hereOne other thing that happened as I was checking in someone came to the front desk exclaiming that they were robbed at the pool This place apparently doesn’t have any security whatsoever in the heart of Jacksonville I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemyShame on this company’s management I have slept at Homewood suites before and received excellent service Yet this particular operation lacks in all aspects so far I wouldn’t be staying here if I had the choice as it was all set up through my property management company

Called to book at Fairfield Inn at Airport, got to hotel at 10:00 PM, only to find that reservations were made at this hotel even though reservation said airportDesk manager at this hotel was very friendly, but we ended up in a room that has a broken AC unit It works, but is so loud that we can’t hear the TV

It clicks and bangs constantly and kept us up all night My husband went down to front desk and asked if something could be done He was told that maintenance doesn’t work on the weekends I feel like we should have been offered a different roomWe are very dissapointed Not a good Marriott experience at all We are supposed to stay another night, but will be checking out early if we can find somewhere else to stay

Troy Coffman

Everything was great other than my check in I waited at the front desk for several minutes I could hear people in the back office laughing and joking

I said “Hello?” twice with no response Finally another lady that worked there came and asked if I’d been helped She had to yell twice to the people in the back office before she could get their attention Finally four girls came out of the back laughing and eating food I thought it was very unprofessional

I love the location Quiet and easily walkable to several bars and restaurants The staff was SO nice and welcoming

They were possibly the kindest and sweetest hotel staff I’ve ever met I had two separate reservations which needed to be combined and they did so seamlessly They explained the parking, amenities, charges thoroughly We requested a few items sent to the room and they showed up immediately Would definitely stay again

Greg Withers

Booked my room from Hotel tonight! $219 supposed to be a suit! Turned out to be one room two beds! Took 15 minutes to get help when I first came in! Lady explained to me the pet fee was $125 but on Hotels Tonight it said $50! Then explain its $15 for parking Hotel tonight said $999! Plus additional $40 hold on your card! This really set a tone for my families vacation! My last time staying here not worth it

Daniel Pooser

I have to say I was very disappointed during my stay considering the condition of the hotel I understand that things happen beyond the hotel’s control, but guest should be notified at time of booking that the place is under some kind of construction and services which we come to depend on (Ie

breakfast) are not available I understand they were sending guests next door, but we both know the breakfast there is nothing compared to what is offered at HGIThe missing ceilings near the elevator, wires hanging out that wall, the stained flooring throughout the hotel, and not having bath rags in my room was just to name a few things I was shocked to discover As a Diamond Member, I choose this brand of hotels because of the comfort in knowing that I am going to get a level of service that I have come to love and appreciate You can’t charge rates based on what the hotel once was, but need to reflect what current conditions are Sadly, this was a step up from a Motel 6 and I don’t say that lightly I was here attending a family emergency and recommended this hotel to all my family who also stayed here, and frankly I was embarrassedThe highlight of the stay was the wonderful staff at the front desk Despite working in conditions like this, they were very upbeat and charismatic That is the one thing that I can say has stayed true to what has always been when I come here I have to say, this will probably be the last stay at this location

All the staff was great, but everyone that worked front desk Friday thru Monday Grand Session days were AWESOME! My car messed up soon as I got there and the staff was very understanding and caring The front desk staff really made the stay a good one The room was very nice and the A/C and Heat worked great, so did my refrigerator some people didn’t realize they had one because its kind of hide in the desk

I cant think of nothing bad to say, even me adding a extra day wasn’t a problem I was without a car but didn’t realize how many restaurants were so close by, until I left Will stay again!

The front desk staff Sam was the best He was so flexible, accommodating and friendly He assisted me with several things I needed

The room was clean and nice The only issue I have was the fridge wasn’t plugged up and I left my food in thinking it was on so I was sick The other issue with the fridge is that it’s on a timer One button will keep food cold for two hours The second button will keep food cold for 8 hrs It auto shut off after these times Other than this issue, the hotel is nice and in a good area for restaurants

The valet employees are very accommodating and friendly The property is clean and the restaurant on site has good food The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable

The property has every amenity you would expect The rooftop pool is nice and spacious There’s a nice grand piano on the second floor for guests to play which is nice but only two chairs by it if people want to sit and enjoy the musicThat being said the rooms are EXTREMELY dated The wallpaper was peeling off the wall, the bathroom door was peeling apart and random mechanical parts were falling off the wall/ceiling The shower is something out of the 70s I venture to not even call it “lighting” in the room but rather simply a lamp You basically get dressed in the dark 24/7 The staff aren’t exactly nice — nor rude Common seating is absent There’s about 4 chairs in the lobby which are always taken and there’s a large space by the restaurant but no common chairs outsideOverall the location is convenient and I would stay at the hotel again — just don’t show up with ‘Marriott’ expectations and you’ll enjoy it

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a room They compare hundreds of booking websites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! You’re welcome :)! This place is one of the highest rated in this area

I’ve been staying here for a very long time If you stay for a few nights you for sure won’t regret itNight Auditor, Nancy, provided the most pleasant and accommodating check-in experience for myself and guest! Our party enjoyed their stay here The only downside was with dinner, waitress was aware of our tabs and it still took a while to pay after we were through We did appreciate the accommodation for a large party and our time was enjoyable Thank you again, Nancy! I would most definitely have my guest stay here again!

The location is good but there’s quite a lot of homeless people around There’s a restaurant inside the hotel if you don’t want to go out ! Lobby is nice and clean! The hotel is clean but could use a renovation They only provided one towel for each person so I had to ask for more for the following day

They only provided one tiny bottle of body wash (125 fl oz) for me and my husband I think they should check how many people stay in the room and for how many days There’s no power outlet to charge your cellphone next to the bed TV is placed on the side of the bed rather than at the end of the bed

My wife Adult son and 9yr old grand daughter reserved a suite while visiting for my other son’s wedding After 2 nights of 4 night stay he housekeeping staff had not checked for room service They were reluctant to empty trash upon request, negligent in our request for room service

Upon direct contact requesting fresh towels Finally we resorted to contacting the front desk for action Holiday Inn is my first choice, the experience was by far the worse considering what I am used to I hope the next 2 nights are better

Was 5 star, friendly, helpful staff, great food, clean All was well until about to walk in the lobby and was told “there is video being recorded in the lobby, and will have to wait outside” Now I have years of photography experience, a couple of back drops or screens would have prevented background distractions

People could quietly make their way in respecting to keep noise level down Was the lobby the only place for this video, if so, another entry could have been far more appropriate to allow guests to enter This video filming turned 5 star review to 3, it was only a short wait for me Had it been longer, of course the star rating would be lower

I stayed there is week The hotel is amazing It was one of nicest hotels I’ve stayed at

Sadly, housekeeping knocks on your door an hour prior to checkout Lady said sorry Then another 15 minutes later, a different woman knocked on my door I felt this was rude, and lack of communication between front desk and housekeeping Checkout time was 11 I checked out at 1028 Lady at front desk didn’t seem to care when I brought it up to her

Highly recommend this hotel

fantastic 2 night stay on our way to Orlando After long drive, shower was extremely relaxing; can’t remember the last time we slept in on or off the road!!! Quiet rooms – somehow intoxicating for naps also Very convenient to I-95 and other highways to beach and/or eateries Will definitely stay here again

This was the worst experience I had customer service wise at a Marriot At check-in Zachary provide 0 information regarding breakfast, until I went down to get toothpaste he was on his phone ear bud in! Handed me two slips of toothpaste (stingy, ended up just having to buy a tube) when I asked what time breakfast was he said “started at 7” at this point I am irritated – usually reps give the ENTIRE time breakfast is served

no mention of anything else I set my alarm only to find out I needed a voucher, when I went to grab one there is some elitist’s hierarchy where I was not allowed to have any despite I booked through Amazon which is business class Having to leave and grab my own breakfast was not only embarrassing in front of other guest but I was late to work due to unanticipated delay of no breakfast despite the agency telling me there was breakfast included

This was a godsend after a hellish day breaking down on a road trip from Port Saint Lucie to Atlanta After two tows and a Lyft, made it here only to find out it was the wrong Marriott! She kindly cancelled our other reservation and got us a room We were about to order food at 10:30 pm since we hadn’t eaten

The room was clean; the service was wonderful! The only downside is like other Marriott’s, the breakfast buffet is $30/person We went without breakfast

The bed was comfy and the location was good Front desk lady was very nice The main issue was the bathroom

The door to the walk in shower even when shut all the way let water leak out all over the floor about 1/2 inch deep What a mess! The bathroom sink was backed up I did report these issues upon check out The hose in the laundry room connecting the washer to the wall had suds coming out of it

Although we had a key card issue to begin with, Linette was a true professional and assisted us in resolving our issues She also went above and beyond to assist in getting us the items we needed for my husband to sleep better with his breathing issues This employee showed a cheerful personality and compassion for us the customers

5 stars for this employee!!

LM Ryan

Mattress wasn’t on top of the foundation so I fell out of bed Sheet was too small for the mattress, or it was improperly put on as it just barely covered the top and was only one inch down the mattress side The bathroom is open to the bedroom

Want a tub and a show? No prob I removed the blanket as it was made of your recycled plastic bottles
