I can’t recommend this hotel Overall, it was merely ok The room was big, could have been cleaner

Lots of little issues to include big lines going down the TV, broken hook on the back of the bathroom door, loose toilet paper holder, wall damage, rusted table, water damaged vanity in the bathroom and the coffee pot didn’t fit in the coffee maker I expect more out of this brand of hotels and was quite disappointed Not too mention the homeless person sleeping on one of the couches in the outdoor area If none of this bothers you, book it If they do, pick somewhere else to stay

Kim Wilson

We are enjoying our stay, just checked in today I was a bit worried about some of the reviews, but everything is perfectly fine so far Our room is very clean, no issues at all

All of the staff are very nice & even the other guests that we’ve encountered They have a very nice outdoor area & we have sat out there this afternoon No complaints, highly recommend

Larhonda Stout

It’s just okay The girl at the front desk is soooooo nice and professional The hotel seems dated and needs a thorough cleaning

Stains were on the couch, chair and headboard Honestly it seems like the cleaners didn’t even wipe down the furniture Some of the dirt could just be wiped off Chipped paint in the bathroom Small hairs in the bed Stained dish towels The carpet needs to be cleaned The kitchen and bathroom floors need to be mopped They were sticky I suppose it’s okay for an overnight stay but I can’t imagine staying here for an extended period of time unless I was low on funds Oh and the ac is weird I had to put it on a very low temp to get the room cold This could be a good hotel if it had proper upkeep

A newer hotel that opened during the pandemic still has a new feel Open parking, nice staff, clean and fresh Evening the stairwells are fresh and clean with soft carpet

One bedroom suite is a great choice, with plenty of room and is very comfy I wish the fridge had ice makers, especially because the ice maker on the 3rd floor was broken during my entire stay However, the appliances are full size The staff is very friendly Comfy bed, very nice fitness center with plenty of equipment for a hotel of this size, the towels are still newer and soft The breakfast is hit or miss Some days it’s eggs and sausage, other days they have wrapped breakfast sandwiches There are a few restaurants close by, both sit-down and fast food

A.K. Walker

I loved my experience here My room had everything I needed (Sink, stove, appliances) It made me feel at home

The coolest amenities I seen was the basketball court and stainless steel outdoor grillsMorning breakfast is always a plus They provided everything I needed and the food was flavorfulI liked the design and setup of my room so much, I had to record it This is a memory I surely want to remember Google should allow us to post videoMy only reason for rating the service 4 of 5 is because there was an extended time where the host was not at the deskI most certainly will book my next stay at the Residence Inn by MarriottI’d suggest you do too It’s worth it

Beverly Ochs

My husband and I stayed for a month, with our dog, while waiting to move into our new house Our suite with mini kitchen was perfect! Everything was cleaned on a regular basis The daily breakfast was wonderful

But, best of all was the staff! We only had two minor problems the whole time and they were rectified swiftly The staff was super friendly and kind

Best hotel I’ve stayed in My wife and I could not have been happier Quiet rooms, well equipped, outstanding staff – everyone we met was super friendly, including the maintenance staff! Great breakfast, and the hotel offers a free dinner experience as well as drinks

The entire atmosphere made our stay so enjoyable We shall return!

Teresa Gunter

Exceptionally pleasant check-in with a personable young man who I can only identify as a student at Liberty UniversityFull disclosure: I was more than taken aback and worried about the safety of our vehicle and a quiet night due to people hanging around at the back entrance drinking and smoking the intoxicating stuff and who repeatedly yelled at us until we acknowledged themOnce inside, the din of children at a pool party also had me worried because sometimes those parties continue late into the night in guest rooms

Not to worry Our hall was quiet Our room was quiet and restful Most important—the room and linens were sparkling clean!! We slept well and enjoyed a hearty breakfast included with our room When I requested a late check out, the staffer was more than agreeable

I started going to this hotel chain in Charlotte, NC I have always had an awesome experience there So for my birthday this year I decided to stay at the Richmond location!!! All I can say is wow!!! This location was even better

Staff was so nice and helpful Breakfast was great Hotel was clean and beautiful Well worth the money I paid Only thing I got a picture of was breakfast…but I promise you, you won’t be disappointed!!! Richmond Drury I will be back!

Started out my stay and was planning on staying 2 nights I got the queen studio room and was immediately blow away size of the room in general and by the full sized appliances in the kitchen and sofa size The kitchens are stocked with pots and pans all the dishes you would need also

And having an ice maker in a hotel room is so much better then having to have a bucket and going to search for the ice machine I love that the TV swivels between the bedroom area and living room area I am VERY picky when it comes to beds and have a really hard time sleeping in most beds These beds are also incredibly comfortable and the pillows are very good as well I ended up extended my stay several more days as the reason I needed the room was also extended The hotel staff was absolutely amazing and kind and incredibly attentive The complimentary breakfast isn’t just some prepackaged pastries There’s fresh fruit, yogurts, a couple waffle makers and 3 different choices of hot items (which varies day to day so you have different choices if you’re staying a few days) The pool area is very nice qnd my kids really enjoyed a lazy Sunday playing in the pool Hands down one of the nicer hotel rooms I’ve stayed in Even told my daughters if it was just me this studio “apartment” space would be perfect for just me Will definitely be coming back when I need a room again

john kwak

It could use an update, but otherwise it’s a great dog-friendly hotel that’s convenient to 64 as well as being near a TON of shopping and restaurants The staff were friendly and very professional, plus they made sure to acknowledge our kids (and our 3-year old absolutely loved it!) Unfortunately, it is a little dingy, so I can’t give it 5-stars, but if/when it gets updated, it’s a 5-star for sure!

Traci Hastings

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars I booked a stay here with my 8 month old I called ahead asking for a pack n play and a customer service rep confirmed they had one reserved for me and I even had it in writing

When I arrived to check in at the end of a long travel day and right before bedtime, the front desk associate told me that they didn’t have any pack n plays available I explained that I called ahead She left for a few minutes and came back to tell me that her manager said they only have one and it’s broken Apparently someone was supposed to tell me and they “forgot” They offered nothing more than a half hearted apology The manager didn’t even come out to speak with me I ended up having to switch hotels so I had somewhere safe for my son to sleep As a loyal Marriott customer, I am beyond frustrated that an extended stay hotel option had no sleep options for children and no courtesy to address that problem

An overall great experience! Everyone was so friendly and service was great When I arrived in the room my mini cooler wasn’t working, I called the front desk and a maintenance man arrived within 10 minutes with a new one Check in and out was easy

The room was clean and beautiful, Starbucks in the lobby Valet was amazing as well Thanks for a great stay, if I need to stay in Richmond again, this is where I’ll be!

Angie Dotson

The common areas of the Omni Richmond are lush and peaceful The room was comfortable and clean We were on the side of the hotel overlooking the highway and enjoyed the view of the river, the trains, and the area surrounding the city

It was nice during the day and stunning at night The location is great Be aware that the parking deck is not associated with the hotel itself, so if you self park is is essentially at least $25 per day vs $30 per day plus tax and tips to valet park If you want to go out expect to pay about $5 per exit in addition to the $25 you’ll pay overnightIf we are back in Richmond, this will be the place we went to stay

Natalia Mesfien

My father stayed here for 7 months on business in my teens and I stayed with him for long periods of time so got to know the workers They are amazing, terrific, perfect especially Stewart he is amazing the best of the best The setup great valet expensive but they are very nice

I’m staying here now again with friends and insisted to come here and so glad I did The restaurant, Starbucks is great and if you are nice at check in they give tickets for free drinks at Starbucks or at the bar It’s a nice location to walk or drive around The restaurant is great and there is a amazing chef and very nice aesthetic There is a Wells Fargo bank across from that Next to the restaurant there’s a store that sells smoothies and açaí bowls All of that it’s amazing love it second home There is also great gym pool etc

We just came back from our vacation This was the 3rd time we stayed at this hotel and we’re quite disappointed Is it under new management because it’s not Marriott standards anymore? Lacking utensils, a few big stains on the rug, no propane for the fire pit and the pool was closed after a few pieces of glass was found nearby for “cleaning” but it was never cleaned or reopened in 2 days

We’ve always enjoyed this hotel because of the outdoor pool and fire pit and thought being there July 4th would have been fun

Britt Hendrix

One word: WENDY It was like having a personal concierge She went above and beyond

My room’s AC wasn’t working and she personally made sure I got a nicer room and even delivered ice to me when I asked where to get it She smiled, was sympathetic, and as a Marriott ambassador I can say she is top 1% no doubt She is a better employee than those in five star resorts I’ve visited, even all inclusive ones I’d come back just for her

Yv H

The location does not match what you see on the website The staff is wonderful but the exterior needs an upgrade and the rooms have a decent appearance upon entry but that’s as far as it goes The rooms need much more of an upgrade than they have received so far

The prices are way too high for this location Very disappointing for a Marriott, I would not stay there again

Great location, walkable to restaurants and stores Super cute, updated but kitschy feel to this old building The decor is super cute

Fun bar area, and the rooftop pool is perfect for lounging although you may need to fight someone for an actual lounge chair! Also I wish the walkway between the pool and rooftop car was actually usable but it was locked Rooms are cute, bathroom is absolutely tiny, as in, only one person can even fit at a time but also cute

We checked into Graduate Richmond on 8/4/22 to attend a Conference Upon checking in and arriving to the room, we knew it was not going to be the greatest experience The carpet was filthy, the shower curtain had stains and the room just looked old and dated

We cleaned the room ourselves because it appears as if housekeeping was lacking All of the furniture in the room was completely dated and it was just dusty The building appeared completely dated We figured we would be there for only 3 nights, so we attempted to make the best of it Our party had headaches after the first nights stay which leads us to 8/5/22 Our party had headaches all day long When we returned to our room the night of 8/5/22, our carpet was completely wet We all woke up again on 8/6/22 with headaches and it was just unbearable the night of 8/7/22, so we called the front desk to inform Nicole that someone in our party was really sick and we needed to check out a day early Nicole’s response was that we would still be responsible for the cost of the stay No offer to solve the issue, switch rooms or anything So we loaded up and went downstairs to check out I asked Nicole if there was an issue with mold in the hotel and she then stated that she would send an engineer up to our room to inspect It was only after I mentioned mold, Nicole mentioned possibly finding a replacement room disregarding a person in our party was really sick Nicole mentioned that someone would be in touch? Please be mindful of some of these issues mentioned before booking here The hotel hallways are not clean, the carpet is in need of replacement and it smells bad As of this time, no resolve

Hannah Peters

I booked this hotel during the $30 deal and I definitely would not go at the normal prices When we arrived, it took about 30 minutes to get checked in We had to wait for the desk attendant to find a room

The room looked nice when we came in but we soon found there was no way to adjust the thermostat on the wall and the one under the window sill didn’t work well at all There were beads like from a kids necklace and sequins all over the carpet as well as a discarded sock It seemed like it hadn’t been vacuumed The beds were nice and comfyWe also had only three towels and no hand towels or washcloths in a room with two queen beds The soaps on the shower wall, one was missing a spout and was moldy insideWe went up to the pool which was fairly small and a guest was cleaning it out with the net because it was so dirty There were also no chairs! There was one lounge chair and two tables All of which were taken (some of which occupied by employees) There was plenty of space for more chairs there just weren’t any A kid ended up offering us his chair and some people who came after ended up just laying towels on the groundThe game room was fun but most of the games were broken or missing pieces If we had payed any more than we had, I would’ve been mad

Very nice front desk staff and lobby felt clean The hallways do smell like smoke a bit, but rooms are smoke-free The rooms themselves felt a bit dated

The first floor is ground floor, so expect that there may be some dead bugs around windowsills We did find a spider on our ceiling, but “they kill other bugs”Very small fitness room, but at least there was one! Great mirror wall and water dispenser there with clean towels The location is good as long as you have a car It’s near shopping plazas and retail food chains but not walkableOverall a good stay, but you kind of get what you pay for

Hannah S

So so pleased with this hotel! Stayed for one night while passing through town with a toddler and a dog The hotel was clean and updated, the staff were extremely friendly, the room was quiet and had a balcony so I could easily see my car, and the pool/courtyard space was especially lovely It was in a nice part of town and I felt very safe

Will definitely stay again when in Richmond!

Frank H

They have a nice small commons area, complete with a bar that serves breakfast and a light dinner Rooms are small but adequate, I liked the pull out desk and sliding door to a small patio From what I could determine, there was no complimentary coffee in the lobby but during meal times they do sell Starbucks

I am not a fan of the surrounding area but it was easy to get on and off the road making it a quick drive to a restaurant or to the Interstate Service was friendly and the room/area was clean

I got married here 4 years ago today and when I say it was the most wonderful experience of my life I’m not exaggerating The staff was absolutely amazing and there isn’t one detail about my wedding or reception that I would change I relive this day with my family and friends all the time and to this day I get compliments on my wedding the location how accommodating the staff was and how wonderful and clean the entire hotel was

Everyone I worked with there was extremely professional and friendly And the Fragrance the minute you walk in is amazing and it’s all over the hotel Most of my guest spent the night and enjoyed their stay My husband and I had such a marvelous experience that we went back for our first anniversary and plan to book again next year for our 5th wedding anniversary You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay a night, a weekend or make a lifetime memory! Thank you indefinitely to the Marriott Short Pump staff! I am forever grateful!

Megan Rush

This was nastiest Marriott I have ever stayed inWhen we walked in the hotel room it was so hot the ac was on 60 in the room already set to that before we came in and it was so hot but I’m pretty sure the ac was broken in the entire building So walking into the room all the lights in there where extremely dull and dark could not get any bright light

The room smelled musty and unclean The couch in the room was tears and rips and stains all over it The towels where so old and gross that there seriously ripping in half it was like paper The wall paper was ripped and stained all over the room I felt like I was in a motel not a high end Marriott I would never ever stay here again Not up to the Marriott standards for a hotel More like a remodel that ran out of money If I did not check in at midnight I would have gone somewhere else but it was way to late and I was way to tired

Jeff Glancy

Terrible experience We had to change rooms because the bed was so bad in the first room Also we booked online with rewards points and they double charged us and also charged the card we put on file for incidentals for the nights we already paid for

We have called 10 different times and each time they acknowledged the double charge and told us we would be refunded It has now been 3 months and no refund We had to dispute the charge with our credit card company and have provided proof of the double charge and they are fighting the charge back This also happened to another couple in our group We feel like this hotel is committing fraud Do not stay here

Stayed here for a few nights over Thanksgiving It was fine Not great

Not bad Just fine The rooms we had were good Clean, comfy and nothing to complain about The facility itself? It’s tired It’s like the conference center that time forgot about Brick sidewalks settling too far, creating uneven paths Weeds in the landscaping beds Wallpaper nicked and ripped in the hallways Any of these crucial things? No, not at all But just not as a pleasant as other places Perhaps the prices (which are good) reflect that? In summary, the Burger King cup in the picture was there, on the post in the parking lot, the entire time we were there No staff thought to remove it and throw it in the trash/recycling I think that’s a testament to the place A fine place but the details are overlookedThat all being said, it’s a good value and I will being staying there again because I’m OK with the flaws Others might not be and should know in advance

The Hotel is outside the city of Richmond but just a short drive The hotel buildings and grounds are very charming

All the wait staff were wonderful and very accommodating to your needs The food for breakfast which was included with our stay was very good Plenty of choices to choose from on the buffet Dinner in the Tavern was very good too Everything was freshly made

Recently stayed at the Virginia Crossing Hotel The hotel is under some renovations as with any construction project there are nuances that are part of the project so because of that the hotel itself rates a ⭐️⭐️⭐️However, the staff at Virginia Crossing Hotel are the real gem of the hotel

They are fantastic! Seriously, I have not met a kinder, friendlier, and hospitable group of people I did not take all staff members names but, Tamara, Dakota, Katie, Carla, Taylor, Selene, and so many others that I didn’t get their name are truly of a servant heart! ✝️⭐️They wanted to truly take care of me and even exceed expectations! Oh my gosh, I love them! And because of this the hotel gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The hotel is very close to many things one would frequent in their own town like gas, grocery store, fast food, and nail salons, etc So if you left home without ityou could find what your needing within a mile of the hotelBlessings & safe travels 💫

This is the second hotel stay I’ve had in the Richmond area (previously stayed at the graduate) and for the price, I must say this is the better pick It’s a quick drive into downtown Richmond, the immediate area did not feel threatening for two woman travelers and the hotel is well maintained and cleanIt is atrium style so I will say you can hear the lobby and bar area but honestly it wasn’t too loud as to be an issue

We got the two bedroom with the pullout and it was perfect for our situation The pullout was nothing fancy but I wouldn’t say it was uncomfortable by any means The bathroom is quite small but did not pose an issue to us Having a door between the two bedrooms was perfect for privacy and both rooms were quite largeThe lobby was great and even offered a nightly snack, we didn’t partake but I believe it was things like a vegetable and meat and cheese tray Contrary to other reviews there is definitely a bar, pictured belowMy only issue and one that definitely could have been avoided with a question on my part was the deposit being the same price as the the entire stay so you’re essentially having double your funds unavailable at once Not an issue for everyone but definitely something to ask about or keep in mindThe front desk staff was very friendly and helpful although the housekeeping staff did knock multiple times one morning when we had a do not disturb sign on the doorOverall I recommend this hotel and I would stay again next time I’m in town

First I would say the front desk staff was very nice…always smiled and greeted us The breakfast was also very nice We were in town for a graduation and it was Mother’s Day weekend, so the hotel was crowded and VERY noisy on Saturday night

We went to graduation on Sunday and when we returned, our room had not been cleaned When I called the front desk for towels and coffee on Monday morning I was told that, since the start of the pandemic, rooms have not been cleaned daily because staff shortages I understand, but there are no signs in the room letting guests know The rooms are comfortable but quite outdated No bottled water was provided and only shampoo and conditioner as far as toiletries were provided The bathrooms are extremely small For the price we paid, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel nor would I stay again

I read several reviews and decided to stay here to see how it was Overall experience was EXCELLENT I would definitely stay here again

Jason the guy who checked us in went above and beyond They even started up the two free drinks at 530pm Indoor pool was fantastic Continental Breakfast was AMAZING Even though its a fancy hotel, I think to go plates for breakfast would be great

We planned to celebrate with friends and decided to lodge here per a recommendation Our party of 6 (3 rooms) stayed three nights The valet team was kind, informative, and efficient

The checkin staff was thorough We had an issue with our room and the manager assisted us with a room change The rooms were clean, the penthouse level rooms offered spectacular views, and the hotel is quirky The lounge level bartender staff recognized us and greeted us, even when we were not stopping in for a drink Our only problem was that we were constantly being stopped and asked if we had reservations to access the rooftop Numerous individuals walked into the hotel, however; upon observation, we were the only group stopped when entering the side door or getting off the rooftop elevatorI recommend this hotel because it is a beautiful building In fact it’s the first fire containing/fire proof building in Richmond I hope that the staff’s keen awareness to minority groups was just a fluke

This hotel is adorable and perfectly named! So much pink it should be nauseating but it is not The decor is welcoming and refreshing and the rooms are nice Our king room was ready and clean when we arrived

The lobby bar has good hours There is a small gym on the lower levelValet parking only – $25 per night

It’s a quaint hotel It’s old school with some modern designs What I didn’t like about the hotel is that there are wood floors in the rooms as well as outside of the rooms and at night the noise from people walking in the halls sounded like they were walking inside of your room

The floor creaked and squeaked all night and it’s jarring to sleep thinking someone is walking in your room The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming I ordered food and wasn’t impressed at all It’s like when people try to do to much and ruin the entire meal It was just a salad that they ended up ruining It’s located in the perfect place A lot of restaurants surrounding that are in walking distance There is Valet parking The rooms are spacious Staff was very attentive The bed was comfortable

Perfect location if you want minimal driving to the best restaurants and shops in town We celebrated our anniversary this summer and one of the hotel employees, Bianca, did a really great job with an early check in request we had despite how busy they were There were three wedding parties on our anniversary weekend and she was working the desk alone which was really impressive

The corner tub suites are absolutely divine and worth itBe aware (I can’t find it on the website) that they do charge a $50 extra deposit per night (if you book 2 nights, they’ll charge you one deposit, but if you book 1 night in 1 hotel room and decide to spend another night in an upgraded/different room, they will charge you $50 twice) However much they charge though will be refunded within a week or so which was good news

Hotel centrally located Room w king bed was ultra clean, modern, and spacious Huge lobby with plenty of couches, tables, and chairs – perfect if you have visitors and need a place to hang out

Lobby also has a bar off to side with TVOnly complaint was the coffee and tea table in the lobby was not kept stocked and refilled But every other amenity great

We stayed here years ago We had such a great experience that we came back to town and wanted to stay here again The hotel is in such a great location

It’s very clean, Has a free breakfast, free parking, and a customer service has been nothing but exceptional I highly recommend this hotel They do have food and what looks like a bar I haven’t been able to go there yet but it looks very well-maintained and clean I just found out they won’t have a pool anymore That is so disappointing but they will be making it into a nice outdoor area they said

I asked about breakfast and she said it wasn’t complimentary, you had to pay to order One of my favorite things about going to a hotel, is the free breakfast before starting my day Te hotel is in a great location

We checked in and walked next door to have dinner at Red Robin There was also a dollar tree next door We walked to the movie theater just to get a tub of popcorn and return to hotel for movie night The kids enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi There were shampoo and conditioner in the shower which was a plus I would stay here again

I dont give 5 star reviews They must be earned This Courtyard by Marriott earned it

Every member of the staff that we interacted with was professional, friendly and very courteousThe room was very clean The bathroom was clean The bed was clean and very comfortable so that I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud and woke very well restedThe rates were very affordable Check in and check out was easy The young lady that checked us in went out of her way to be helpful but I failed to get her nameI highly recommend this Courtyard to all travelers

Hotel is outdated Rooms are old Wallpaper peeling off the walls

Rusty sprinkler head falling off the ceiling No hot water in the shower I told the GM about it Nice guy, but he seemed to be surprised It’s interesting to see that other people posted about the same issue though This hotel is not up to the typical Marriott standards in my opinion I’ll stay somewhere else next time
