Everything from check in to check out was great!! The front staff clerk was extremely friendly The room was very spacious and clean Loved the accessible shower which made bathing the kids a whole lot easier

The beds were very comfy!!! The surrounding area was very nice and the hotel was not too far from things we needed The pool and hot tub were very nice, was a bit smaller than the other Hampton we stayed in but was still nice none the less We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here to stay again!! The entire hotel was so clean and smelled fresh which is a huge selling point for us

Katie Sweet

Hotel was great for the price range and family friendly Our initial room had a window leak and we were moved to the other Suite which was wonderful The staff also was really helpful each time our door cards failed for whatever reasons

The room itself was quiet even though it was right by an entry door Breakfast was great! The only thing was the pool area had a few really gross areas outside of the pool

Our company uses this hotel I have been here the last 3 nights I am leaving today Since day one I have notified the front desk that our shower does not get hot water and we need to change roomsThree different desk clerks have denied my request

their solution was telling me to run the water longer which did not resolve anything leaving us with 3 days of cold showers Our company will not be using this hotel moving forward

Staff was friendly, location was great, room was clean but only small complaints The room had a odor, like a moldy odor, I went to Walgreens nearby to get a candle because the odor was not pleasant One more thing was the bugs, there’s insects and bugs coming out of the heat and AC vents so I didn’t turn it on because I didn’t want to get a room full of insects

If These things improved or someone sealed the vents and cleaned out the vents, made improvements to the smell, this hotel would be great! Thank you!

It’s about a 20 min drive to Navy Boot Camp graduation If you go the opposite way, there’s a nice outdoor mall also about 20 min away The Walgreens just a few steps away was great as well as the breakfast offered

They do have a bus that takes you to the entrance for graduation From the gates to the ceremony hall it was about a 10 min walkJust ask to have your name added to the list Spent 2 nights Would recommend except our first night the iron burned my brothers pants Woke up to check out and found 2 bed bugs under the sheets and another 2 on the comforter

Rebecca Smith

Arrived at the hotel in Libertyville on Thursday afternoon and needed to change the bed requestfor my room due to recent changes in travel The staff were pleasant and quick to accommodate Room was clean and plenty of towels and washcloths

We went to the pool and the water and areas were clean (and they brought us towels) Breakfast was served daily with eggs (scrambled or cheese omlette), bacon, sausage, hashbrown potatoes, oatmeal, fruit, bagels, pastries, assorted juices and coffee All was delicious They have a small store for snacks and beverages next to front deskClose to Starbucks, pub and other shops Not far from Navy graduation Highly recommend

I would give the customers service here no stars but you can’t But first I would like to thank Hailey the GM of this place for her rude and disrespectful customer service Thank you Hailey for canceling my paid for reservations which lead me to spending an extra $1200

00 because you didn’t like the fact that we didn’t want the rooms by the office Thanks Hailey for throwing our cards at us Thanks Hailey for refusing us and refusing to let us rebook our rooms I now know what it must of felt like back in the 30s, 40s, and 50s Thanks Hailey because of you I was able to avoid rachetness!!! She has her employees job scared to speak up for what’sright (Blake) Thanks Hailey because of you I found somewhere more desirable to stay Thank you Hailey for this awful experience… People please do not stay here Its not worth it Better Room or down the street and I would rather sleep in my car Peace

This review is based on my experience staying one time, for two nightsWe enjoyed our stay We love that it’s pet friendly The bed was comfortable

The breakfast was just okay The staff was very nice We would/will stay there againThe sofa was a bit worn and uncomfortable to sit on A fridge was placed in the closet that used to have a door The click and lock flooring is very cheap, but maybe by design since they allow pets

Lisa Zhu

The staff is really nice, the lobby has plenty of space for hanging out with friends The breakfast shop offerings are affordable and look great The only big problem I have is with how little sound proofing the rooms have

For the whole night I was listening to bathroom flushes in the adjacent rooms And starting from about 6am I started hearing banging of doors because of how the room doors are designed to slam, very loudly, especially through thin walls Then the vaccuming in the hallway started around 7am I get it, it’s not a 5-star luxury hotel, but I think some little things can improve to make the stay more enjoyable

Lewis Kay

The staff was nice, but I cannot say the same about our stay We had adjoining rooms and both were horrible!! Mold was in the ceilings and there was a stench of sewage The couches were soiled, food was on the wall, and the headboards, bed skirts and sheets were all dirty

The sinks were slow to drain, feces was on the toilet and the shower doors would not stay closedAnts were crawling between our beds, on the bathroom walls and floors, which were also spacing Housekeeping did not change our linen while we were away, as requested, and because of the issues we kept encountering, they switched our room 3 times My children and I were very displeased by the upkeep of this hotel property and opted to end our getaway However, there is a $50 early departure fee, totaling $100 for both rooms As for customer service: After submitting a complaint and photos of our stay, a representative’s email stated it was “hard to get in touch with me due the time difference” No one has followed up with me since

Came into town for my sons PIR Check in process was very simple I even needed to make reservation changes during my stay because my son was getting weekend overnight liberty and we wanted to split time in the city

They waived fees and helped us with dinning options Our room was great, clean, and we loved having a full fridge, stove, and dishes to eat and hang out with family and our SR comfortably My son has A school here so we will be back to see him again and will certainly be staying here!!! Thanks for everything to the GM and Chad for all your help

Thomas Barntsen

Pros: Room was a suite with kitchenette for under $70, so it was a pretty good value It was reasonably clean, and the bed was comfortableThe breakfast was decent – all individually wrapped packaged food, like breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, oatmeal

Cons: there were a couple broken alcohol bottles on the sidewalk between buildings My room also had very little soundproofing from outside noise, and the furnace was very loud, kicking on every fifteen minutes or so

Christine Canty

**update** After staying at this hotel for 22 nights (checking in and out over several weeks,) I will not earn any points or upgraded member perks, because I booked through United which was still cheaper than booking through the members website that has a discountFor work, I have stayed at several different hotels in the area I prefer this one, because this is an extended stay suite where you have a full refrigerator, 2 burner stove top, dishwasher, and kitchen with dishes

I have not had time to use the amenities Pets are accepted The rooms are not very sound proof The person on 2nd/3rd shift is super friendly and easy to talk with

Amazing hotel Management is so stellar ! The experience with customer service made me feel as if I was at a Four Seasons Hotel I was not expecting such a large indoor swimming pool area and the hot tub is simply massive

Love the colorful murals in the guest rooms tooWe will be returning soon

Janet Kohl

Other than the nice clerk at check in, the hotel was sub par The room did not have sheets for the couch bed and no mattress pad (unsanitary) The phone didn’t work, so we had to go get them at front desk

The shower curtain was ripped and the TV didn’t work The breakfast was a mob scene with no refills of food and coffee was empty At check out I told the new clerk and she didn’t seem to care about any of it She said the satellite dish had bad reception and some channels don’t work I told her none worked No discount offered, nor other accommodation For $220/night, plus taxes, I expect a working TV and coffee!!

Elizabeth

I called ahead and was told both rooms I booked would be ready, next to each other Checking in at 4 I was told they weren’t ready pillows on the bed looked clean, but smelled of oily sweaty heads laid on them, Garbage cans on property flowing over

Pool had several clumps of hair on the floor next to pool, dead bugs floating in the hot tub Colony of small ants in one of our rooms Other room several lamps and bathroom lights lightbulbs burnt out Spider webs in bathroom I witnessed several different people staying at the hotel complaining to the front desk, one had a water stain on the ceiling looked like possible pipe burst, another person saying they never vacuumed their room and smelt like cigarettes as they just checked into their room, and another complaining to the maids their sink was backed up This hotel is listed as a 2 star hotel, should be 1 star They are no longer called Antioch Inn, I passed the hotel up as its now called Clarion Point, no one informed me of the name change I will NOT be staying at this place EVER AGAIN!!!

Loved it We came to Navy graduation, and this hotel is just close enough, without being stuck in the city Awesome staff, quick check in, great rooms with very good matresses

Everything super clean! We did come during some type of competition for cheerleading, so hotel was super busy at the lobby, but the staff still made time and helped us Super awesome crew!

marina bograd

The staff was great and space was plentifulAnd that’s itCleanliness was an issue The hotel appears worn out and neglected

Wall paper is peeling off the walls Glass doors and window appear like they haven’t been washed on weeks and floors were sticky (including the rug in the room)The space has potential to become an amazing venue Hope someone notices

The hotel itself is great! Everyone at the front desk was really nice! The only complaint we had was that the shuttle driver was not a great driver at all- he drove real slow, changed lanes recklessly, cared more about the radio station rather than getting all of us back to the hotel When he came back to pick us up from the wedding venue (which he was very late), he told us all that he hated us and then said he was kidding, but it wasn’t professional to say anywayAgain, the hotel was great! Comfortable beds, complimentary breakfast and kind staff

I would just avoid the shuttle if possible

M Jovanovic

ZERO STARS! Both pillows had BLOOD 🩸🩸🩸 on them! We’re not talking about hair on towels We’re talking about biohazard ☣️☣️☣️☣️☣️ Human pathogen! This is beyond unacceptable, even in “normal” times, let alone during a pandemic

I told the front desk and the lady didn’t care She said what do you want me to do about it, I don’t have another room! I had to sleep in my car and they wouldn’t refund anything NEVER STAY HERE!!! 🛑

Heya Howdy

I had a horrible experience just trying to book a room for this weekend My son is graduating from boot camp and my ex-husband and I wanted to get separate rooms in the same hotel so the kids could go back and forth from room to room I booked a 2 night stay on their website, and got an email verifying so

4 days after booking my room I called to check on something and was told my reservation could not be located The hotel could not even find my info using my confirmation number After 3 different people and 30 minutes of wait time, I was told my reservation was cancelled the same day I booked it No answer as to why or by whom I didn’t cancel it The hotels system obviously had made a mistake or error Without trying to help me or offer any customer service whatsoever, I was told the hotel was now fully booked and I had to look elsewhere Even tho I still had my email showing when and what I had previously booked! How sad they didn’t even offer any help at all! Luckily I was able to find a room at another hotel close by My ex-husband said they had also messed up his reservation but he was able to fix it in time Please be VERY careful of booking on line with them If you do take that chance please follow up after doing so I will not be booking with them again as I’ve seen how they handle their own customer service issues

Traci Walker

We came here because my son was graduating from The Navy Boot Camp which was 15 minutes away The rooms were very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful I came a second time to visit about a month later and had arrived early

My room was not ready yet so they offered me an upgraded room so I can get in a room instead of waiting in the lobby for a few hours I was very happily surprised and very comfortable There are stores and restaurants literally across the street so that was pretty handy too Very nice place and Devan at the desk was very helpful and friendly I highly recommend!! Plus great complimentary breakfast spread in the morning

Viraj Summers

People are friendly Location is great But if your stay in long then get ready to clean your own room

I had asked for a cleaning for the room on the 3rd day, since I had 2 kids and 2 dogs But they said no, and gave me sheets So I had to make my own beds It was disappointing There was NO point in cleaning the room the day before I was checking out I would not stay here again

Standout staff Accommodating and truly kind Rooms were fine, although both rooms I stayed in had issues with shower temp and water pressure, and multiple common areas like the bar and restaurant were under renovation

They did their best Overall this is an outstanding property under renovation to keep up the standard of service you expect from their brand A great place to stay The attached Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a game changer

minghao liu

I’ve been to at least 10 Renaissance hotels around the world, and this is easily the worst Renaissance hotel I’ve lived at The service was terrible There was no hairdryer when we checked in, and when I tried to call the front desk, nobody answered, so I had to come to the reception

Also, they weren’t able to provide any slippersThe buildings are quite old, and due to renovation, only half the amenities are open Sound insulation is terrible We were hearing constant door slamming and children screaming, despite us staying in a CORNER ROOM! We got woken up before 7AM on both days we stayed there The shower has very low water pressure, and it takes half an hour to do a “quick” shower There’s also no access control for the elevators, which means non hotel guests can get to any floor they want Fortunately, this neighborhood is relatively safe, so this won’t pose too much of a security riskThe only upside is the price We booked two nights for $135/night, after taxes and fees, which is a good deal for the Chicago area around the memorial weekend However, with the problems mentioned above, this hotel isn’t worth the price

Laura Thompson

CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT: We stayed here for a wedding and the room was very nice and clean However, our car, parked in the hotel lot had its catalytic converter stolen overnight Unfortunately, there are no cameras on the parking lots so the police couldn’t do anything

The GM returned my voicemail and did comp our room which was very appreciated (but not much to offset the cost of a new catalytic converter) The theft of catalytic converters is not unique to this hotel, but its proximity to 94 definitely makes it a target I personally feel like putting in cameras is an important step the hotel should take A Marriott should provide some level of security I’m a student and this financial loss is not easily absorbed Just be aware!

Had an extended stay at this residence inn, the staff were all wonderful, friendly and accommodating I’d like to specifically mention Miriam the breakfast host- she was a highlight of my stay! Always so friendly, kind and thoughtful She clearly put so much love into her work and it shows

She made my mornings a little brighter! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, not only for cleanliness but for superior hospitality

Brianna Drevlow

I have been staying at this location weekly since January 2022 The staff has been nothing short of incredible and welcoming In particular, the night lead, Jared, has been very kind and thoughtful, ensuring my stay is the best it can be

He even goes the extra step to include things like extra water and towels, upgrades when possible, and evening putting out my favorite candy in the front desk candy dish when I am there! The rooms are very clean, the property is well-kept, and the breakfast areas are safely maintained While I initially chose to stay there due to it being close to my work location, I now regularly go back there because they truly take care of me I recommend staying here if you are in need of a long-term stay option!

Dee Humphrey

Quality hotel What truly makes this a 5/5 stay verus any other Marriott hotel is the INCREDIBLE staff In particular, Miriam (the breakfast host/chef) has the best hospitality and kindest soul Some mornings I would arrive after the breakfast was closed from an overnight shift at the hospital and she would save me a breakfast sandwich in a bag to make sure I didn’t miss out

She is something special!!

If it wasn’t for the manager having checked us in an hour early and staff being friendly, this would be a 1 star Got up to the room, fully unpacked, and while going towards the sink outside the bathroom stepped in a wet spot on the carpet It was pee – guessing pet due to it being relatively pungent

It was out of the way and I thought it made sense someone might not notice it, until we found two much larger spots near the entrance towards the kitchen Staff was apologetic and came with cleaner, but even after rinsing out the spot and airing it out with the large sliding door (that opens directly to a patio rail – odd but convenient here), it smelled pretty strong of cleaner 6 hours later when we came back While we didn’t ask for a new room when we notified them (again, early check in), we weren’t offered one either By the time we got back there wouldn’t have been time to settle the kids into a new space Based on how strong the spray was, I have to imagine they usually don’t have someone stay in the room when they have to use itPossibly equally problematic but more endemic, is that the second floor unit we were on feels like it was carpeted over something other than a smooth surface (wood or other) There are several spots where the carpet dips down as you walk, and frankly if youre not careful could probably tripI will say – it was a quiet place, and I didn’t have to worry about anyone coming through the halls drunkenly waking up the kids That’s why I booked it in the first place But, in hindsight, it probably wasn’t worth the benefit at about $200 for the night

I was going to leave 3 stars because I was so surprised at the night auditor our first night being so proactive and helpful when I expressed our concerns over the status of the room After speaking with the manager this morning at checkout, I can only leave 1 I worked at a Staybridge for many years and love the brand and the quality of service they always provide

Along with the quality of maintenance of their rooms and building I can’t say that about this location Walked into room and immediately noticed the large bulge in the ceiling of the living room 6-8 inches wide and about 2 feet long Continued through room and when I went into the bathroom, noticed evidence of extreme water damage and at the base of the door trim-mold because of said damage I took photos and planned on speaking with staff in the morning Late that night, while my family was sleeping, I was reading in the living room The guests upstairs were so incredibly loud and stomping-but it comes with the territory They stomped so hard that all of a sudden a piece of the ceiling (where the large bulge was) fell onto the couch and a large crack had opened up I went to the front desk and she was so helpful and said she would be taking 50% off our stay I was so thankful and was not expecting that at all They were 100% full so moving rooms was not an option When we checked out, I went to front desk to get our receipt and check out and thank them for being so accommodating, the manager printed off my receipt and I noticed only 50% was taken off for one night When I had asked her, she said she had no idea about this but thanks for staying I told her the ceiling literally fell on me She said “I had no idea, sorry Have a great day Here’s a card if you want to dispute this” We had a very long drive ahead of us with small children, so disputing this right then and there was not something I could take the time to do I plan on sending an email to manager and also their corporate as well This was unacceptable behavior from the management Things happen Out of our control and the night auditor was fantastic But the fact that I was treated with zero regard and said to have a good day from management is not ok I hope this gets resolved immediately

We had to wait 45 mins to check in because they tried to take money for our stay twice Every employee there was trying to run our card They ended taking money out twice anyway

Now have to wait days for our money to go back on our card They were not pleasant at all The lady that ran the breakfast area is very rude Our bathroom had black wavy hair all over the floor They had kids above our room that were running around most of our stay The hotel was OK They have a fire pit area that we did enjoy Heated pool I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel The staff seem pretty incompetent

It was a suite with a full kitchen Everything was very clean and put away It had two TVs

And although there may be an additional cost I believe it’s pet friendly And it wasn’t much more than a normal room The service was as expected but the staff was very friendly They had a decent complimentary breakfast The location served my needs but I have no idea what is in the area If I come back in the area I will definitely be staying here again

The pandemic cutbacks have really made this place inferior to what the Marriott standard used to be We certainly can get by without daily maid service, however there was one tiny bar of soap for two nights for two people We had to move it back-and-forth between the shower and the bathroom

There’s in room coffee to make in the morning, but only enough for one out of two morningsBoth TVs were unplugged, and it took us a few minutes to figure out that we had to plug them in to get them to workThere was a clock radio, but the buttons to reset the time to the correct time only worked for minutes, but not for the hours I guess everyone travels with a cell phone, so the clock in the hotel is now superfluousThe computers were down when we checked in, and they had to take a photo copy of my drivers license and credit card Of course, they said they would shred it once it was entered, but in this day and age, businesses are not supposed to leave that information visible to employees at any timeWe called the front desk to ask for an hour delay at checkout time, but we still had someone knocking at our door half an hour before the promised checkout time to clean the roomThere is a morning coffee bar downstairs, but on a Sunday morning when it was busy, I had to ask for the cream containers to be refilled There were no stirring sticks, but I snuck a spoon from the buffet next-doorWe did have a lovely well presented buffet breakfast for a large groupThe room was clean, and almost everything else was in working order, although the shower drained extraordinarily slowly The room was clean, and everything seemed relatively new and freshHopefully as pandemic fueled staffing shortages improve, they will be able to undo some of the cuts that they’ve been forced to make

My wife and I had a night away and stayed here, close to our homeNice and clean hotel and roomSince my in-laws booked us the room as a surprise, they booked it through hotels

com instead of Bonvoy direct They were nice enough to honor my Gold Elite status and the amenities that are associated Very nice of themNice hotel, nice staff, and an a around solid property I will definitely stay here again for a local hotel

I will give you the good, and the not so good I hesitate to call it bad, because it really wasn’t terrible, but worth notingFirst, the good

Hotel staff were AMAZING! They were so friendly and helpful From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff to the bar staff – they could not be nicer With every interaction I felt like familyThe room was very spacious and very clean Every room is a suite, so there is a separate bedroom that can be closed from the remainder of the roomThe price was amazing, I wold have expected to pay much moreNow for the not so good I was there in early July, and it was hot outside However, the A/C in the hotel was on overdrive It was so cold in the hotel lobby, bar, and eating area you almost needed a coat or sweatshirt In fact I did see several older folks bundled up because it was so darn coldSame with my room When I first opened the door, I was surprised at how cold it was I had to turn off the A/C to get the room up to a manageable temperatureAnd while the room was super clean, you could tell it is in need of updating The bathroom was great, but not very bright And the sink drained very slowly Also, the hot water faucet would leak when the cold water was turned on, making a sizeable puddle on the counter All of these are easily fixed if they were to spend some time making regular updatesI am still providing 4 stars because the good far outweighs the not-so-good Will definitely stay there again, as it is close to highways and friends and family when I travel to Chicago

Service was fine, and the cleanliness and sleep quality was fine as well, but this place gives off the vibes of an old hotel that has been given a fresh coat of paint, and some issues have seeped through the cracks Don’t pick this hotel if you’re looking for a classic family vacation destination, as there is no pool and no complimentary breakfast (But you can pay for breakfast items at the onsite cafe or use the fitness center that seems to have replaced what was a pool area

) Some small complaints are the lack of microwaves in the rooms and the mowing starting at 8:30am Monday morning The most inconvenient part of our stay was the poor quality of the mini fridge Not only was it impressively small, but it barely generated its own cold We had to put a bag of ice in there with our food to make sure it wouldn’t go bad, which was inconvenient due to the aforementioned lack of space

Fam stayed here for couple nights Remodeled in September On going into room picked up hand towel to dry face and saw somebody had used it as buttwipe/TP

Immediately brought it up to front desk where they continually apologizedAfter kid saw towel and pulled a face they told us they would add points to account Still haven’t seen points or heard back since checkout

First time staying in this location The hotel is beautiful, it’s clean and it’s quiet, but by far the friendliest front desk staff I have experienced to date Main reason for the review and will definitely be back

Chantil has been here every night, has greeted us, made conversation with us, remembers us and is just an all around pleasant person

The room was was squeaky clean, our dogs sniffed but didn’t find anything new ( Yes, that’s happened before but not here) Staff was friendly, courteous and professional, all the common areas were kept up very well, each chair or station in the pool/fitness area had a towel waiting for whoever went to use that item next Great breakfast if that’s something that is important to you! Hot items, fruit, yogurts, toasters for your use, surpassed my expectations for a hotel breakfast

Nothing short of a good stay and would recommend

This was a wonderful stay! The staff was wonderful upon check-in and check out We stayed in a King Suite Jan 21, 2022 for my son’s graduation for boot camp at Great lakesThey had plenty of hot breakfast both days we stayed

And a room to watch the graduation if you didn’t get a ticket! The bed was so cozy, I wanted to take it home with us!! My kids loved the pool and the kitchenette was the perfect size for making a snack or light mealHair dryers kept me from running outside in the freezing air with wet hair!!! A huge plus for this Florida girl Loved the coffee and hot cocoa bar!!I cannot say enough about how accommodating and helpful the staff was!
