Beware of booking online, even through their direct website! We showed up for our reservation and were told they did not have us down The lady at the desk looked into it and found a reservation dated for the night we made the booking, rather than the night we were staying She mentioned they had problems with online booking and she would get her manager to reverse the no-show charge

When we checked out a different lady was at the desk and she mentioned both charges and told us the manager had not come in and she would have her call us A few hours later she called but was no help She too admitted to issues with online booking and when I called her out on it she tried to take back what she had said Ultimately, we would not have checked in of we knew our issue was not going to be resolvedAs far as the room and the hotel itself, it was okay The room was clean but very small We had trouble walking past each other It was the basic queen, not the upgraded queen room which I believe is bigger The bathroom was decent sized and similar in size to the bedroom This room seemed best suited for one personThe hotel has an old world charm to it The room doors are heavy wood with ventilation louvers at the top It made it very noisy even though we were there on a slow night The bed was comfortable but the room was a bit warm and I did not see any thermostat in the room to adjustWe ate dinner at the new Tex Mex restaurant in the hotel That food was very good with large portions and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive I would suggest eating in the restaurant and getting a specialty margarita (not cheap but you only need one!)A morning continental breakfast was included but was surprisingly disappointing There was regular coffee (no decaf), orange juice, yogurt, instant oatmeal, apples, oranges, toast, and a waffle iron Frankly, I’ve seen better in much cheaper hotelsI would reccommend eating at the hotel restaurant, however, I cannot suggest staying in the hotel if you want a good night’s sleep For the price, I would have expected better customer service from management and competent online functionality When I told the manager I had left a 5 star review for the restaurant and hated to leave a bad review for the hotel, she said, “Go ahead”

Really impressed The property is so remote you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, in the best possible way Everywhere you look are Instagram worthy vistas

The cottage suites are spacious, rustically beautiful and clean with big decks looking out over the mountains We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Elements (Try the Arctic Char; you won’t be disappointed) And a great lunch at the Pub Everywhere we went, the staff bent over backwards to make us happy Also enjoyed a great massage at the spa, and a 25m hike on one of the trails We will be back

Location is easy six stars if you want to stay in a cabin with a view Cabins are really spaced out in the 12k acreage There really isn’t much to do outside the resort, aside a winery or two

It’s kinda in the middle of nowhere but that’s a plus for me The resort offers lots to do if you wish Some of the cabin views are better then others

An older hotel that is under going some renovations Right on the beach with a great view and easy beach access Has guest laundry on several floors

Easy parking Lots of nearby restaurants The only negative was the breakfast Very poor selection and nothing hot unless a micro was used Hopefully this was do to renovations and not the norm

BAM

Joseph at the front desk is the reason I’d book here again! He is the perfect example of excellent customer service, which is so hard to come by these days! Joseph and Roselina at the front desk were so welcoming and accommodating!!! FIVE stars for those two!!! Other than that, the hotel is clean and comfortable, and conveniently located to pretty much everything you could need 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I think this is my last stay at this hotel The hotel is falling into disrepair and the way they are still reserving at full capacity while unable to keep up with the cleanliness and forcing the cleaning crews to work harder with fewer staff

I walked into my room and within a few minutes saw 2 fruit flies We went to the beach and when we got back went to give my son a shower and noticed we only had 2 towels I picked up the phone to call down and ask for more towels and the receiver on thr phone was so sticky and gross, I couldn’t pick up the handle When i put my son in the shower, it leaks out onto the floor, so I had to use one of the towels for the floor Meanwhile, the water pressure was minimal and sadI called down for more towels and was told they would be up shortly and never cameAt night, I put thr kids into bed and noticed there was a lot ofnsand in the bed I checked the other bed, and again, there was a ton of sand We hadn’t been in the bedroom until nighttime, so we knew it wasn’t us I wanted to lay down on the sleeper sofa since the kids went to sleep earlier than I had wanted to and there were no linens or blankets to be foundWe went to breakfast at 9:30 It closes at 10 There was NOTHING left Breakfast is over at 10 thankfully, two ladies in the breakfast crew took major care of us and made us fresh eggs and sausage I told her thank you, but I don’t eat pork, and just as quickly, they went back and made us a stack of turkey sausage Thank you Vicki and Zina They are the ONLY reason this review didn’t have 1 starThere are stains on the bed, on the walls, broken tiles, and dirty It’s just not worth the $$ to stay here anymore I was a choice privileges member and it was so I could stay at their location on 20th Since they sold that location and I had so many points left, I decided to stay here I’d stayed here years before and didn’t enjoy it, but the other locations were not nice eitherNeedless to say, it’s my last stay here and I will no longer be a choice privileges member

I would not recommend this spa They have major staffing issues and we have had multiple issues trying to deal with resolving issues from 11/20 through now from a 12/26 visit

They did not provide the described services and they bungled the resolution as well Don’t waste your time or money There are better options in the DC Metro area Do not recommend The hotel stay was mostly fine

This is my go-to hotel when visiting DC/McLean, Virginia

It is beautiful, and the service is fantastic! This location has luckily been able to uphold high standards and customer service from check-in to dining, concierge services, you name it! I’ve had amazing experiences speaking to agents on the phone, who are actually on location, check-in services, the wonderful greeter who is always happy to direct me in the right direction, especially while under construction! I hope the Ritz maintains this level of enthusiasm as well as standard for cleanliness… I also look forward to having breakfast at Entyse, the bistro Mona has been serving us for years and we absolutely love catching up with the staff! I would definitely give them 10 stars if possible!

I stayed there 3/18/22 The only reason I give it 4 stars is because there was hair on the shower wall that was there beforehand I feel we are paying good money, it should have been clean

And the steam shower was still broken in the spa (not as big of a deal though) The restaurant (room service) and the spa totally made up for our unhappiness with the shower not being clean The room service is phenomenal! Super fast service and accurate Nice, hot, and delicious food! Yum! Everything is definitely farm fresh or at least it seems The spa treats you like a queen I was there for my birthday this time, and Christine T gave me the seasonal awakening treatment (winter) She was so amazing and kind She made sure to apply just the right amount of pressure She listened to me and it was very relaxing I really like how she made me feel comfortable as well (I have social anxiety) I’ve been to many spas and she is by far the best massage therapist I have ever encountered I will be going back because of her and the great food!

Second time staying here The first time we were upgraded to an estate room- thought that was so nice This time we brought our dog and are staying in the terrace rooms- hello! These are not a downgrade, they are just as fabulous

I actually prefer the terrace, being able to walk right out onto these gorgeous grounds is fantastic The terrace is so private I love this entire resort Everyone is so friendly This place has great energy, I’m so happy here Having our dog with us makes it feel like home, it’s so awesome that they allow pets We only live ~ 30 minutes from here but it’s such a fun getaway that the whole family looks forward to

First time staying in a Residence Inn I enjoyed the apartment feel and the pillows were soft I could tell the room was a little dirty or at least could have been much cleaner

Some trash was left under the couch from previous guests I only found this out because I was doing some push-ups and was greeted by a couple of plastic bottles in site under the couch The shower/tub floor needs to be replaced or reapplied because it is peeling and I could feel it in my feet Great TV movie selection

After driving 75 hours we had to stop We didnt have a reservation so we were desprate

John at the reception made checking in, on a moments notice, so easy and smooth He was so accommodating, guiding us through what the hotel had to offer after we checked in We felt like we were homeThe room was very large with a kitchenette which included a stove and a lounge area separate from the bed areaBreakfast food was decent The service was great, the two gentlemen in the breakfast area went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed There is also an outside area to bring your food It looked like people were out there grilling the night before while enjoying some drinksMy 15 year old daughter and I ended up going in the heated pool after breakfast The pool water was so clean, whilst not overly chlorinated, and the pool deck was spacious and clean Being a competitive swimmer for 14 years I can appreciate a clean pool and can tell the differenceThe only issue we had with the entire experience, which was seemingly flawless, was the toilet didn’t flush in our room

Stephen Hunt

Rooms were clean and cleaning staff very helpful Rooms and facility needs maintenance We were without most TV channels for all of our stay(20 days)

Maintenance said it was the cable peoples problem and had no solution and no plans to fix the issues TVs are outdated and the appliances/ utensils were old or ineffective We stayed in Williamsburg at the Marriott there and it was much better overall Breakfast was always sandwiches and ready to make waffles, cereal, bagel etc it was ok Windows don’t open and the highway never sleeps If your lucky enough to sleep next to the vents you won’t hear the cars as much Lighting in the back is terrible( no one did any maintenance on the exterior during our stay as far as cutting the overgrown trees)

Terrible Stay, Horrific Follow-Up, Wedding Party Stay DisasterReserved large block of rooms, conference room, etc as a base for guests during wedding weekend Poor communication and follow up when management changed hands to Mr

Gilbert Capate Arrived to 2BR suite Friday night, had a heavy odor like Chinese food, shrugged it off Did not appear very clean/disinfected/wiped down Shower in BR 1 not functional- completely clogged, as we discovered Sat morning- day of he wedding That left 4 adults scrambling to use 1 shower 3 of the 4 of us were in the wedding, so did not have the luxury of time Returned late Sat night, go to bed Arise early Sunday knowing the shower situation, tried to be first to the only working shower to discover it CRAWLING WITH MULTIPLE BUGS Go down to the front desk to show photos and video of said shower, to have the woman tell me “oh that’s nasty!” but there was nothing she could do since a manager was not on site So for an almost $500 hotel bill I have 4 people with no way to shower after a late night of wedding festivities We were so frustrated we packed our stuff and went home feeling gross After almost TWO MONTHS of attempting to follow up with the manager, Gilbert Capate, he emailed me that he was offering 15k Marriott points (essentially, one night at a lower level Fairfield) for my “inconveniences” This was more than inconvenience, this was disgusting! He claimed to have deposited the points into my Bonvoy account on May 2 When I questioned him almost three weeks after he claimed to have deposited the points, he went radio silent…AGAIN Finally, I called Marriott customer service, to be told he’d not deposited anything They immediately took action and issued me points and apologized for such a poor experienceManagement of this hotel is dishonest and unresponsive This place is disgusting, please, go elsewhere If you are hosting a wedding nearby, such as at The Barns at Kanak, seriously, save yourself the trouble and go with another property, even if it means a longer drive This place was a nightmare Oh, and the guests that stayed at THIS hotel? We all came home with the bonus of being COVID POSITIVE, 45+ people

Room 412 : yuckI am very shocked and surprised honestly The room itself when you enter felt fine but the bathroom!! What happened there? I put three pictures to explain my doubt about being clean For some guests it might not be a deal breaker but for me it is because then I have unease about the whole room

At $200 the night, I am quite disappointed1) when I arrived the shelves above the toilet had dust — I wiped it and moved on but the mirrors were dirty, the shelves next to the mirror had some kind of spit consistency and worse of all Intake my shower and find on a mat a piece of what looks like food (maybe bacon)

My husband and I just got back from a wonderful weekend at the Red Fox Inn to celebrate my birthday Check-in went seamlessly My husband had worked with the Inn to arrange for flowers and champagne to be in the room when we arrived

Throughout the weekend the staff was fantastic, breakfast was delivered at our specified time, the room was so clean! This is a true relaxing place to stay and it is conveniently located in the middle of town Short drive away to different wineries We will definitely be back!

Red Fox Inn & Tavern, the oldest Inn in the country, had an amazing, Five Star dining experience consisting of four courses of the highest quality The service was second to none, top tier Thank you to Tim M

for creating an incredibly inviting atmosphere and excellent recommendations for dinnerPrix-Fixe Four Course Experience: $125 ppI can tell you that I made a couple of upgrades and parings to maximize the full experience and it was well worth every penny! You’ll see below, the lamb meatballs, grilled watermelon salad, wagyu bone-in ribeye, and strawberry/rhubarb shortcake with a cocktail and local Virginian wine, ending with a nice coffee and every single bite and sip was fantastic, prepared to perfection! I will let the pictures speak for themselves but the flavors were rich and complex, offering a delightful experience for the tastebuds My greatest compliments to the chef and team!I will be back!!DSG

We did the 4 course meal which was mostly ok I added the waygu steak and was extremely dissapointed The steak was not as good as a steak you could get at firebirds or other chain restaurant

Everything else was ok but not deserving of the price tag Service was 5 star, and saved the experience

First time staying recently, didn’t know what to expect The grounds are nice, the rooms look nice It is slightly nicer than a traditional hotel for sure

However, there was mold in the bathrooms and some other housekeeping issues that weren’t up to my standards It’s also hard to enjoy the living room area because the walls are very thin, it sounded like the family next door was in the room with us The bedroom was quiet though at least I didn’t appreciate trying to get roped in to a timeshare presentation on check-in, but that is just my personal hang-up While I definitely see the appeal, and the location is great, I wouldn’t stay again, most of the hotels I stay in are just as nice/quiet and a little cleaner

Catherine Megan Anderson

This is a beautiful resort My room was CLEAN, spacious, very nice, and quiet The bed was comfortable

The combination jacuzzi/shower was AMAZING I also really liked the outdoor balconies They have 2 pools on site and multiple amenities! The negatives I would say were that the TVs in the room were very small, the toilet was located right next to the bedroom (which isn’t the best for couples LOL), the cafe/bar was very small and not really a place to hang out, and the drive out to other places is a bit annoyingOverall this was a really nice place to stay and I’d come back again

Michele Rogers

This is our 3rd stay at the resort and every time we come it’s is as beautiful and relaxing as the first time The rooms where clean and very quiet and we didn’t want to leave!! One thing that bothered me is one night my daughter and myself was coming from the pool and there was the smell of someone smoking weed you could smell it all over the place!! I feel like if u gonna do that do it in your own space not at a family resort!! Other than that we had a wonderful stay and will be back next year!! Another thing people don’t understand that this is a resort not a hotel No your trash will not be taken out for you, And no you won’t get your free breakfast that’s why there’s a kitchen, That’s just my opinion 😉

I stayed here for a week for a work trip and my stay was nothing short of AMAZING!! The staff was INCREDIBLE and accommodating ( all the way from check-in to cleaning staff) Common areas were gorgeous and my room was spotless! I never even had to ask for anything for the entire week Towels and wash cloths were replaced every morning and bed was made perfectly! Everyone who worked at the restaurant downstairs were so nice and amazing as well

This is the first time I’ve stayed at a hotel and was legitimately sad about leaving! Will be back in a week! Wish I could give 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating They were more helpful then expected and willing to go the extra mile I love the fact that there were many restaurants and stores within walking distance

The breakfast was plenteous and delicious The rooms were clean had a microwave refrigerator, sink, sofa and two comfortable beds I definitely plan on returning

Tyrone

Nice, well maintained hotel Staff were very friendly and helpful Room was clean and comfortable, not drafty or noisy

We will definitely stay here again in the future Looks like it will be a nice trip in the spring and summer Unless you do valet you will have a walk in from the parking lot and if it is busy you may have a bit of a walk in store for yourself I recommend dropping bags and passengers at the door and only the driver deal with the walk This leads to a quieter hotel though in my opinion, even surrounded by roads Tucked away in the woods is really a nice touch and one of the things that drew us in

My wife and I planned our wedding from halfway across the country, and Lisa was a great asset in helping us understand the available hotel resources and rooms, and the mechanisms available to our guests to book rooms She also offered to personally manage the bookings if any of our guests had difficulty with the process (some where not state-side during the process, leaving them with only email to contact the hotel) Once we checked in, we felt greatly supported by Lu and Linda and the rest of the hotel staff

Our wedding was on a Saturday and Linda kept the bar open late for us (coordinated ahead of time with a definite drop dead time) helping us to feel as though she was heavily invested in tending to our needs and wants We had a few hang ups, as regularly occur with large events such weddings, and the staff rapidly provided us with great solutionsThe rooms were quite large in comparison to any of the other lodging available in town The breakfast in the morning usually entailed eggs, meat, yogurt, waffles or pancakes, oatmeal, coffee, tea, and juice Sometimes they didn’t have water at breakfast, which was a little weird, and sometimes it was an ice water jug at the bar There is some covered parking, but likely only for about 40% of the guests We had beautiful weather the whole time save one afternoon, so it was never a concern for us We used the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and a couple times to various locations out in town While the regular driver was on vacation during our stay, the stand in drivers were knowledgeable, polite, and good drivers

We stayed here for two days and were suppose to stay at another hotel closer to where our family lives Needless to say we checked out and checked right back in to this hotel, staying four nights Everyone is so accommodating and friendly

The rooms are clean and comfortable with fresh linens and extra towels The children were happy on the pull out couch/ day bed and had fun in the indoor pool We all had such a great night sleep with the down comforter and pillows The showers were refreshing with great water pressure and full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash There is always fresh coffee and tea, cereal, breakfast bars, and oatmeal They also serve a hot breakfast till 10 We look forward to staying here again and will not stay anywhere else Thank you to all the staff who made this trip enjoyable and a special thank you to Lu who is so super wonderful, hard working, accommodating, and sweet, making our stay feel like home away from home

We truly enjoyed our stay at SpringHill Suites in Roanoke! We drove up from Raleigh for the weekend, found the hotel easily, and immediately felt welcomed by the staff here Our room was clean, comfortable and well laid out, and housekeeping did a great job of taking care of our needs All of the staff was friendly and helpful, but Linda and Jeanie were true standouts in their warmth and professionalism! An unexpected bonus was the “front row seat” to the fireworks show on the evening of 7/3- we opened the window to hear everything, and we had an amazing, unobstructed view from our room on the 4th floor

We definitely plan to stay here again on future trips! Thank you to everyone at this hotel for a wonderful weekend experience!

I really enjoyed my stay here The room was clean and spacious and the view from the balcony was amazing I enjoyed the on-site restaurants and music

Each meal I had from the restaurants were great I loved having a section of the beach right in front of the hotel with chairs and umbrellas or bed and cabanas for additional fee The only thing that I would like to see different is that they add microwaves to the rooms, add a partition to separate the balconies because there is no privacy from each room, and no $20/day fee for parking Other than that, the hotel is nice and we would stay here again

This hotel is absolutely amazing Stunning I love whoever thought of making the Marriott sign clearly visible from 17th Atlantic street! Safe, secure, modern, and very clean cut

I would stay time and time again Room is true to size and looks Front desk manager is SUPER elegant and sophisticated She was very helpful and knowledgeable Restaurant staff was sweet and attentive Housekeeping was very thorough in cleaning and super friendly Only complaint: the room service breakfast wasn’t worth the arm and leg Potatoes were unseasoned, eggs were delicious and I ordered a kids breakfast Based off my order, the kitchen should’ve added extra napkins

Checked in this evening only to find out that my “suite” is right next to the elevator, with a window right next to my bed and the parking lot within feet, a balcony that is overlooking the construction for the most and the parking lot and a tiny side view of ocean Super noisy from all aspects I’m honestly so very upset

The manager said “sorry”we are at full capacity Clearly customer service and honesty means nothing to this establishment He is forced to comply with these this type of service or is he? I rarely even complain but I feel like this shows greed on behalf of this company I even prepaid for breakfast and that was a surprise to the young lady checking me in She said you can come back by to get those vouchers? Maybe you should offer to deliver them?? A thought? And really, I paid extra for a suite experience not what I’m being shoved into I understand staff shortages etc, but what I don’t understand is being basically robbed of the hotel experience that I paid for and then simple told I have to deal with it I’m concerned about the other surprises I might run into

Room was amazing Super comfortable, the desk was great and the television was above top great with the additional appsThe entire property (inside and out) was kept very cleanDropped a star for the price of bar items, seemed a bit expensive Even with the $15/day credit, everything in the restaurant is expensive The food was goodNot any fault of the hotel, but there are limited eateries within walking distance

Last minute booking for memorial weekend, decent prices Room was fantastic, staff was helpful too! We got an upgrade to the 9th floor for 20$ extra per day and I’m so glad that we took it The bed was comfortable, the shower was so good, definitely felt the luxury there!Additionally, coffee downstairs was excellent and the bar was happening

There was a happy hour between 5-6 PM when we spent a lot of time in the lobby chit chatting and sipping 5$🍻

Very nice place to stay, ample rooms, coffee machine is welcoming, nice views, very convenient “pantry”store with basics as ice cream, good sandwiches and small first aid last minute itemsThe gym looks good but I didn’t had time to use itBut mostly and more important: the staff was very helpful and accommodating with our needs

Amazing hotel Incredible staff Angel, Jonathan and the whole team took care of everything during my multi-week stay here

They were the friendliest, most positive, helpful group The hotel itself is the cleanest and quietest hotel I have stayed in anywhere in the US The staff seems to place a particular emphasis on customer service, cleanliness, and ensuring a quiet space I would stay here again anytime If I could give the hotel team six stars I would!

This hotel was exceptional for our room block and rehearsal dinner for our wedding- Logistics: It has a continuous shuttle to/from the airport every 30 minutes that reliably transported 40 guests It was the furthest north-east Marriott we could find that had a continuous shuttle instead of an on-call shuttle

– Suites: Many of our guests told us after how much they loved their suites They were large but also reasonably priced- Event support: The space and service for our rehearsal dinner were great, and the hospitality suite conference room accommodated preparation for 9 bridal party members with 4 hair and makeup artists- Staff: The staff, especially Phillip, went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences, concerns, and last minute changes

While this hotel is the nice one in the area you can tell it is in dire need of updates From a leaking roof to the fitness center it’s a old hotel The breakfast which is $20 is robbery as it’s subpar food

In fact I believe free hotel breakfast at places like the holiday inn top the breakfast here Dinner is priced fine and tastes good The servers during breakfast are very niceThe gym is in dire need of updates and a working AC system It gets so incredibly hot and humid in there and adjusting the thermostat doesn’t seem to change anything Pool was closed , not sure if this is for good or notI seem to never be able to get anyone to bring towels I called three times one day, 30+ min apart and no one ever came up Likewise for wipes in the gym Have to always go grab them your selfParking is free and easyThe room is large and nice though showing it’s age with the TVs

Danielle Caneva

The location was great There is whatever you need pretty much within the shopping center so you don’t even need to walk anywhere Plenty of parking

Joy at the front desk was an absolute delight She was so friendly and helpful the entire time that I would go back to stay there just because of her Great customer service is hard to come by nowadays and she is the best!
