The hotel is definitely above average I would love to stay here on my next visit The staff was pleasant and helpful and the rooms were well kept

The washer dryer combo made our extended stay convenient This plsce is close to the beaches and restaurantsThere are many different activities near by

Althea Walker

The hotel looks cute, but it has many flaws They only provide bath towels Thus, you will need to purchase washclothes and hand towels

If it rains, be careful because the sidewalks in front of the hotel are a falling hazard Finally, the dryers they provided in the rooms do NOT work I informed the front desk that I had to use the blow dryer to dry some of my clothes because the dryer still had not worked after 6 hours non-stop I will rewash my clothes at home Finally, there is no parking at the hotel You have to pay $30 a day for parking or park and walk blocks I will never stay here again

Wu Amie

Very impressive studio with modern design and complete tableware There is a washing machine as well! Super convenient for the last day of our tripBe aware that there is about $38 for resort fee

We stayed at the Eden Roc for our first wedding anniversary and had the absolute best time! We were upgraded to an ocean facing suite when we checked in which was a wonderful surprise The view was incredible and we loved sitting on the balcony with our coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening The resort is beautiful with three pools and beach access

There is also a walking/running path right out front which was a great way to get exercise and walk to other hotels for dinner The staff was extremely attentive and hardworking, especially Eddie at the pool! We requested an umbrella a couple of times and he was so kind to accommodate us The wait staff at the pool area was also wonderful and the drinks and food were delicious! On our last day, we requested a late check out and they honored it with no issue Overall, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend! We can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I booked a weekend trip to Miami This was our first time in the city I booked the hotel blindly and what a great choice

It’s a lovely hotel I would definitely book it again It was a fun and exciting hotel and away from the busy end of the beach The hotel offers chairs, towels and concierge service on the beach My husband and I were able to lay out on the beach all day and even able to enjoy food and drinks from the wait staff

Jannie Rivers

No full body mirror and the $20000 per night hold liability fee, which is extreme in my opinion Also, finding out the hold can take from 3-14 days to be released back to you after you check out

Otherwise my room was clean, the staff was great and the amenities were awesome We had a great time overall Would recommend it for big groups in order to split the bill 😂

No complaints! Pool was nice and clean Front desk staff was friendly The hotel received a historic preservation award when remodeled and it shows

Some folks with me complained about the classic room with a balcony being small but how much time do you really plan to spend in your room? There are larger ones available and the things that need to be there are there The shower has a nice rain style shower head Good deal for the price Only wish I have is that there would be a little conference room of some sort

Laetitia Coleman

My friend and I stayed 3 nights It was a pretty decent stay Rooms were very clean but small

Beds felt amazing! Someone came to clean the room every day while we were gone There’s no microwave in the room and very tiny mini bar fridge The pool area was a lot smaller than expected Location was pretty good Just a 5 to 15 minute walk to most shops on Collins and about a 5 minute walk to the beach (straight shot) When you book read the terms and conditions about the $150 a day for incidental fees This is different than the resort fee Overall we enjoyed our time here

Jason Ohrum

This is the first negative review I’ve ever written but want to warn people We booked this place through Tripadvisorcom where you will see a king room with a nice big window

The room we got was on the first level in a separate building and did not have a window that you could see out of because it was next to the loading dock We felt like we were in the basement with lots of noises throughout the night When have you ever stayed in a hotel without a window? It is claustrophobic We asked to be moved but the manager never called back and they claimed no other rooms were available so we stayed in that room for 3 out of 4 nights The lobby was under construction and the entire place smelled like paint and joint compound The room was across from the fitness room and the stairs so it was incredibly loud as well The hotel is in a great location with a pool and beach access, and I liked the retro style so that is why I booked it When we checked out I talked at length with the manager asking for some type of compensation since we felt the value we received was far less than the cash money fiat currency we paid She refused to extend any type of courtesy of any form and indicated that I simply didn’t book the correct room type A disappointing customer service experience to say the least

The hotel is amazing and the staff so warm and inviting The ocean is at your backdoor and the views are amazing You have access to pools, beach and beautiful plants and trees that adorn the hotel

The rooms are beautiful and equipped with kitchen items, bath and laundry items The air conditioning is great as well So blessed to have had such a positive experience here during COVID-19 and the staff and people of the area are following the guide lines of protection which was essential for me at this time I loved the experience!!!!

Katrina Jones

Great location and staff is extremely friendly! I love the layout of the hotel which allows for an ocean view from every room! The lobby is beautiful and the private rooftop deck offers amazing views It’s the tallest building on south beach so the views are unobstructed! Though they are working on expanding the hotel but I was not aware until I looked for the construction There was no noise to be heard

Can’t wait to see it when it’s done!

Michelle C. Torres-Grant

We loved staying at The Tides After reading many reviews we knew what to expect, the pros and the cons The pros include historic and beautiful Art Deco architecture (just the actual building “Bones” and some of the lobby furniture; the rest of the interior design is contemporary by a famous designer, and the bedrooms have been completely remodeled into all ocean front suites), elegant atmosphere, location in the heart of action packed South Beach, and gorgeous ocean and beach views

The sophisticated decor is consistent throughout the building – entry, lobby, and bedrooms Our bedroom on the 8th floor was huge (we got an upgrade via Tablet Plus) Everything was super clean, comfortable, and beautiful Included was a coupon for a couple of free cocktails, which you can redeem anytime during your stay You can have them in either the lovely lobby bar/restaurant or the chic terrace, which is prime for people watching We also had a breakfast credit The setting is super nice, and the food was good, but not great Service was just average – not spectacular or horrible The biggest downside is the noise at night of the partying in the street and the super loud club next door We did know this in advance, but it was even louder than anticipated That said, it actually was not a problem for us We had brought ear plugs, but we surprisingly ended up not having to use them I think it was because we were so tired at days end, and the beds are so incredibly comfortable that we would just melt into them The complimentary beach service (lounge chairs, towels, and umbrella that a beach butler sets up for you) is nice I never even saw the pool, which was in the back We were only staying a couple of nights and everything out front is what was interesting How could one turn their back on the mesmerizing blues of the ocean?!? I would definitely stay at this hotel again, especially if I got a good rate like we did We wouldn’t stay for more than 2-3 nights, because the loud & bustling scene isn’t really our thing, but every once in awhile it’s a fun change of pace

This hotel has a great and dedicated team making sure your time here is as smooth as possible The valet guys, the cook, the front desk are all just great! Rooms are really modern and spaciousThe manager: Daniel deserves a special mention, he has been particularly helpful and kind

He is a “let’s get it done” person and he makes sure the hotel runs smoothly!

Kelli Magistrelli

The room is dirty Not just they didn’t wipe the bathroom this one time dirty, it has been neglected for a while Stains on most of furniture

Overall, just disappointing Details have been neglected for a while The staff was rude on several occasionsThe hotel was disappointing The view of the water and the quiet (other than highway noise) could have made for a very enjoyable stay The breakfast is very good

Sam Silver

Over all the hotel is nice, but one of the things I like to do is going into the hot tubIt was boiling hot, in my opinion even dangerousI spoke to the staff a few time but they didn’t seem to care

Asked to speak to hotel manager got no response I would expect better service

The atmosphere here is fun and relaxing The heated pool is glorious after a day swimming in the ocean Service is excellent, we were definitely pampered

The room was on the smaller side, but the decor was super fun and funky and the ocean view was spectacular Housekeeping went above and beyond, they are HARD workers Definitely recommend

The day before my arrival the manager called and offered a complimentary upgrade to our room with included a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool The hotel was very clean and smelled amazing However, what really made our stay special was the my boyfriend proposed and without my knowledge he requested the help of the hotel staff to stage the our room to surprise me upon returning from dinner

This is one of my favorite and now my go-to hotel in the Miami area I love the location right on the beach, the two pools separated for adults only and families is a great touch Loved the outdoor bar

Rooms are great, we usually get a pool facing with a balcony which is awesome to sit out and have a drink at night after the pool is closed The manager is very friendly, visible in the lobby and will do anything to make your stay a great experience The only critique I have is the walls are very thin, and makes rooms very noisy, doors slamming, people talking in adjacent rooms is heard very easily in your room If they could do something about sound proofing it would be very helpful

Maryann Fancy

If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would From the moment we checked in and they greeted us with a glass of champagne upgraded our room to a ocean and pool view every single employee at this hotel gave impeccable service! We went to the beach and not only do they set up chairs also put our towels down for us Pool was clean and warm, the cabana staff bring you water and even offer sunscreen

Drinks at the lobby bar were amazing and whatever the scent is in the lobby it smells amazing and I would love to know what it is I can’t wait to go back Will definitely be returning You do not find service like this anymore!

Mike McDonald

Great spot right on the beach Everything everything you want from a beach side hotel The rooms are nice and clean

The staff is very friendly and helpful We checked in at 1:00 in the morning and they had a full staff to go ahead and take care of us On several occasions we ordered a late night dessert up to the room Room service was friendly and very fast The hotel also offers courtesy bikes so we were able to ride up-and-down the Broadway several times on our trip I will definitely be coming back again soon

Our stay at the Hilton Bentley was fantastic We arrived before check in, and were told we would have an upgraded room due to our gold status to a 1 bedroom suite! It stated a courtyard view, but truly it had a fantastic view of the ocean The room was large, and well appointed with the kitchenette, large bathroom and balcony

Staff was all very nice and accommodating, everything was very clean, and house keeping was good We were quickly supplied with any additional needs (amenities, towels, etc) The first day we sat at the beach while waiting for our room, and ordered drinks and food from the restaurant We also ate at the restaurant on our second day, and I had the grilled octopus and it was delicious Service was great all around, and it was truly just a fantastic stay and getaway for my husband and I We saw families enjoying the hotel also, and we would return as a family because the 1 bedroom suites are so roomy Enjoy!

Rachel

We had a great stay this week! The front staff and beach staff were very polite and so helpfulOur room was clean, no strange stains as other guests have mentioned The food at Santorini’s was delicious and arrived in a timely manner to our beach chairs

The drinks were also greatThere are two pools and a jacuzzi We enjoyed them all I agree that it is a little confusing to find info on the amenities, but the guest services staff members were helpful in answering my questionsI would stay here again!

AEJ

The hotel and rooms are nice and very clean The grounds are lovely, but if you want to swim in the pool, you’ll be surrounded by restaurant patrons seated right next to the pool Also, if room service is important to you, be aware that it’s basically just takeout in a bag

It was very helpful to have a fully stocked kitchen with microwave, stovetop and large fridge, but be aware that there is no dishwasher Climate control was a challenge We had a one bedroom suite, with only one thermostat, which was in the kitchen, and there were only 2 vents ~ the larger one in the kitchen and the other, very small one in the bedroom closet, so we had to leave the closet and bedroom doors open at night, and the bedroom was still very warm

Scott Decator

We had a great stay for the 5 days we spent in Miami The staff were great and we had no issues really whatsoever, water whenever we needed it, towels replaced when we needed them The breakfast was decent and consistent everyday

I have read a lot of reviews about hidden fees????? We booked this trip a couple months in advance and knew of all the fees associated with the hotel Do your research people!!! Overall it was a good stay, close to all restaurants, south beach and a short walk to Ocean Drive The pool attendant was awesome He always helped with umbrellas and chairs, was very attentive to what was going on and very nice and polite

Kevin Stroiney

The President Hotel was very well kept, with room service coming every day to give new towels and make the beds The hotel being generally cleaned every day was very nice to see Henry at the front desk was very kind and helpful and Elliot the pool guy made time at the rooftop pool that much more enjoyable

Very good location if you are looking to visit the beach (3 minute walk), bars on ocean ave, nightclubs, and generally anything fun! Rooms are a little small but that is to be expected when getting a reasonable price Overall great time and recommend this place to anyone looking for the South Beach experience!

What a great place!!!! The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and great location close to beach We enjoyed lounging in the lobby and the open air courtyard Raphael and Tyson helped answer any questions we had and made our stat fabulous! They were helpful and super friendly

The bed was really comfortable, the water pressure was great, and the rooms were very cleanThere is limited parking spaces so make sure to call ahead If not the street parking was not too bad

Laura Urrego

Amazing hotel for the price! Very Friendly and helpful staff, they upgraded our room for no extra cost, and it’s only a 2 min walk to the beach, also near restaurants and parking was easy enough on the street House keeping was perfect! Room was cleaned on our schedule with no annoying knocking at 10 am

as Miami night-out tends to run late Recommend

Cheung Mary

Terribly noisy doors Thin walls, light sleepers avoid They don’t even have a proper duvet cover, it’s two bed sheets covering a duvet which feels so unhygienic esp during a pandemic

The receptionist at night doesn’t pick up any calls, didn’t help us with room changes after the receptionist in the day time said it could be arranged Raphael was very nice, the location of the hotel is great but its more like a 3 star hotel, don’t know why it has a 4 star rating

Interesting decor Comfortable rooms Mostly, the service was great

Especially on the beach and in the restaurants My issues are: we asked for a New York Times which they said they’d bring to our room Never appeared They also took the robes from our room and I called for more which they said they would send right up Never came And finally, there was a small stain on the bottom sheet of our bed I didn’t mention it because I figured they’d see it and change the sheets Never happened! I knew the sheets were clean, though just a weird stain Breakfast on the verandah was delicious

Furkan Tan

My friend had a bday party at the club and restaurant Everything was fun and enjoyable until Bouncer got physical to get us out of the club which was super sad It was embarrassing for all of us

We will be taking charges because of this situation It was unpleasant and unsafe to be there although they rate themselves to be the safe and fun club We wouldn’t recommend you to go into this place and get yourself in troubleHORRIBLE!

I stayed here with many family members in multiple different rooms and towers We had a nice time together, but the rooms were incredibly overpriced and the service, especially at the checking in and check out counters was awful All the food and drinks were very expensive and the gym had old and broken equipment

The place has so many private functions that they are constantly closing down areas to the guests so we had to walk way out of our way to get to the pool areas I was staying in a room I had booked for several days and one of the days a guest walked in on me with their key The front desk had put a new guest in my room while I still was staying there! Not only was it an invasion of my privacy, but they walked in on me undressed and could have stolen things out of my room When I went to the front desk to complain, they didn’t even apologize and just said that they would move the other guest to a new room The situation was not handled well and completely ruined my stay One of my family members also had several issues with their room, including no hot water and one family in the suite said their microwave and washer/dryer didn’t work In the regular rooms there are no mini fridges unless you pay money to open and close the fridge to the alcohol In my opinion, there are probably so many other places you could stay with nicer, more affordable prices and with a more pleasant staff I’m giving 2 stars because we did have an incredible meal at the Italian place the one night, and the men who worked at the pool who set up chairs and umbrellas were incredibly nice and helpful

My teenage daughter and I booked an oceanfront room with a balcony in the main building and had a fabulous stay! Literally every staff member we interacted with from the front desk, concierge and luggage staff, to housekeeping, pool, restaurant, and beach staff was fantastic and seemed to care very much about customer service The amenities on site were beautiful and the lively music and scene were fun for my daughter She also loved the gym

It’s incredible and well outfitted Our room was clean and very nice, and so was the facilityThe only things that were tough for a four-day stay were the meal prices My daughter eats easily, but I am a vegan I found one item at each meal I could have, and in especially loved the offering at La Cote, but the prices for even the simplest foods were so high, that we spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on food that really was just ok and certainly didn’t warrant those prices with all the gratuities included To have a refrigerator in the room to make breakfast or a quick snack easy would have been 25/day, which did t make sense for two people The pools were also very, very warm, and there aren’t too too any umbrellas, so it was tough to lounge by the pools for as long as we would have liked, but we truly enjoyed it nonethelessIf breakfast had been included in our stay, or some of the options made simpler with more vegan options, I would have rated this 5 stars Great stay, but I really felt we spent unnecessarily on all our simple meal and snack needs

Unfortunately the Fontainebleau hotel has dropped in overall quality (but certainly not in price!) We stayed at the hotel 3 years ago and really enjoyed our experience there It seems since covid, the hotel has really gone downhill

The prices are more insane than ever (food, drinks, room rates) Our room felt dirty and was rundown/shabby The carpet was gross and the nightstands were covered in dust They really need to renovate their rooms The staff was very friendly and accommodating, I must note We enjoyed the pools and the poolside service (the food and drinks are wildly expensive, though) Our balcony door was broken which made me feel uncomfortable the entire stay Overall, I feel the iconic Fontainebleau has lost its former glory We won’t be staying here again

The hotel was phenomenal It actually felt like a resort The location was great, walking distance to all the major areas

The staff was very accommodating and welcoming It’s clear that the staff is trained a certain way to provide the upmost experience for the guests Alex (pool bar manager) went above and beyond to make this trip a memorable one His work ethic shows how passionate he is about his job Not to mention the staff at the beach It’s amazing to watch those guys run around in that kind of heat! The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping was great Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in a luxury place It was worth every penny! Will definitely be returning!

The stay was nice, the pool staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, until there was no hot water in the rooms The hotel knew of this issue, did not tell the guests (even with their text message system), and when I called front desk she said it was an issue with a vendor and no ETA on the fix She could not care less

Her manager offered two solutions (to pack up my entire family and move to the other tower?! or take my toddler at bedtime to shower at the spa at the other tower?!) that did not work for me and said he’d call back when it was fixed He also said they were notifying guests by putting a letter under their doors (of all rooms in their main tower… sure…)I did not receive the aforementioned letter or phone call I did receive a small credit to my resort fee at check out the next morning after I said they provided BS next steps I can’t believe a hotel of that size doesn’t have any action plan or compensation plan for a major issue like NO HOT WATERHope they don’t reply to thank me for the review to help them grow/improve rather spend the time being more proactive with their guests instead

This is one of the few kid friendly and family friendly hotels in Miami beach However, even here the party crowd obviously is favored The pool closes early

around 5pm, so does the beach (chairs and umbrellas) I’m not sure why The food options for dinner inside the hotel are pretty much only room service We ate in the hotel restaurant once for dinner and had to wait an hour until our food arrived In the meantime they dimmed the lights and turned up the volume so my kids got cranky and I did not even have the opportunity to finish my dinner myself The rooms are rather small but that’s fine if you spend most of your day anyways outside There’s no kid friendly menu for the pool side (except for usual chicken fingers etc) or beach as you have to go inside the hotel for ice cream or similar Also upon arrival we were not shown around and felt treated rather second class The location is beautiful though and i still prefer staying here than many other hotels Overall for the 5* rating i must say it’s the details that are missing No evening room prep, no welcome gifts, no high end toiletries, no extra toiletries, cheap toilet paper, no bath robes, no show around in the beginning, no intro to spa or amenities, the furniture a bit run down no complimentary water or snacks, there’s really that extra touch missing It’s a fancier holiday inn

The truth is — it’s a 5 star place, with a 10 star priceThe pictures won’t deceive you, The 1 truly is one of the most beautifully-designed hotels in south beach 🤩 The interior is heavily bohemian inspired with natural woods, warm tones, and earthy wall treatments

The restaurants, boutiques, bars, and the spa within the resort are all equally as airy and beautiful Be sure to note though — you’ll pay $12 for a coffee and no less than $40 to eat decorative leavesThe rooms are outfitted with sleek, modern finishes and perfect ambiance and accent lighting My husband and I found the service and the valet to always be incredibly hospitable and eager to help (As they should be when you’re paying $1500+ a night)The 1 is a huge attraction for tourists from outside of Miami, both within the country and internationally (partially because Miami people won’t entertain their prices) There’s such a plethora of things to do and see within the hotel, you really don’t need to leave to make a trip out of it What we didn’t know was that South Beach itself, is an absolute dump, extremely dirty and trashy — definitely an overrated location but ‘The 1’ is a sight for sore eyesOverall, a very beautiful, memorable experience, just be prepared to pay!!

Absolutely beautiful boutique Hotel Everything was gorgeous right down to the signature scent which we liked so much that we brought a candle home to remind us of the trip Our double king room was spacious and relaxing

The fitness center was truly state of the art and included Olympic lifting equipment, boxing, assault, treadmills, classes and more If working out wasn’t your thing then you could really enjoy the food and bars The rooftop bar, Watr, was especially impressive To give you a sense of how much we enjoyed the hotel itself, the first two days of our stay, we endured a tropical storm and didn’t care a bit On our last day, the storm cleared and we enjoyed a few hours of sun at the second floor pool Across the board, the staff was consistent in their prompt service and the food and drinks were always impressive Clearly this isn’t an inexpensive hotel, but it was an experience I’ve never received at any chain hotel I have visited We are already looking into other 1 hotel locations in Nashville and Toronto for future trips

Logan Bosiger

One of the best vacation spots we have stayed at in Florida Some of my biggest takeaways: 1) the smell of the hotel is so good that we had to buy one of the candles! 2) Try and stay on a side facing the ocean 3) reserve dinner reservations a little early and then go to the bar for drinks later 4) there is amazing seating in the front lobby Very fun to watch all of the foreign cars pull in!We will definitely be staying here again

Been coming here for many years, hotel is a really nice but the service has gone very very down hill Below are the issues that occurred during my latest stay:- Had many issues with my AC which took multiple days to resolve Room was 85 degrees

They sent a “engineer” to fix the AC on night 1, he said he fixed the AC Woke up sweating bullets, AC was not fixed Called back night 2 in the morning, they sent another 2 “engineers” who said they fixed the problem Got back to the room after being at the Day Villa we paid 650$ for to avoid being in a hot room & the AC was still not fixed, still 85 degrees I asked for a new room and they denied my request and gave me a 600$ credit The room was well over $600 a night so I find this very unfair I gave up at this point as I just wanted to try to enjoy my vacation My fiancé has asthma and was having breathing problems due to how hot the room was at this point We decided not to stay after night 2 even though we had 3 nights- Booked a 90 minute massage before arriving online Upon arrival we decided we’d like to get a couples massage so I attempted to call the Spa to change this They did not answer there phones for 2 days I called the front desk multiple times and explained the situation, they just forwarded my call to the Spa who did not answer the phone again and again Finally only 2 hours before my massage, they called The lady who called me was very rude and said they can move it as a “courtesy” however they only had one time slot available for a couples massage and we already had plans to leave at this point and go to a different hotel Because of this, I asked to cancel and they said they will still have to charge me the full price of the massage + 20% to cancel They said they’ve been trying to reach me for the past two days so it’s not there fault There’s no way they were trying to reach me, I’ve received numerous calls from the hotel which I’ve answered and had no communication problems whatsoeverI’ve stayed at many different St Regis hotels around the United States and I’ve never dealt with this kind of service St Regis Atlanta for example which I stayed at only a few months ago was an absolute joy, and the service was fantastic If you are vacationing to Miami, I highly recommend checking out other options as you will definitely be disappointed as this hotel does not live up to the St Regis brand

Beautiful large hotel close to the beach in Miami Stayed here before the pandemicThe good:- Beautiful, clean rooms with gorgeous views of the ocean

– Luxurious, tropical feel- Great location for visiting the beachThe not so good:- Service was below 5 star / 5 diamond standards- Pool complex could be biggerI know some people say the rooms are a little dated, but they are clean and well appointed If you want an ultra-modern hotel, you may want to stay somewhere else The location is amazing, as it is right on the beach Walk out from the pool complex right out onto the beachService was a little below standard for a hotel of this class The hotel didn’t seem all that busy when I stayed here, but getting a service request completed took a long time Also, the pool complex is nothing special While most people do go out onto the beach, the privacy of the pool can be enjoyable, especially at night I feel a little let down in that regardOverall, great location, gorgeous views, nice rooms, and lacking a bit in the service department I prefer this hotel over the Savoy For the price, you might be able to do a little better, but you could also do a lot worseRooms with ocean views are highly recommended
