I have been traveling to Mobile for over 30 years, and for the past 10 I always stay at the Spring Hill Suites Staff is awesome and you are greeted promptly and with great enthusiasm the minute you walk in the door! Hotel is clean and well kept and no matter what my stay is always top notch! I really enjoy that they go out of their way to help and on the very rare occasion there is an issue it is dealt with promptly and professionally I cannot say enough about this hotel! I travel often and I have had my fair share of hotel horror stories, and I can categorically say that the Spring Hill Suites in Mobile is one of he finest and well kept hotels! Highly Recommend!

Unexpected…Upon arrival the greeting from the front desk staff member was pleasant she was helpful in giving good restaurant ideas around the area However once moved into our room *103 * we noticed loud noises by children singing happy birthday and other shrills of screams for at least an hour On inspection of the room we noticed a huge dark stain that covered the decorative pillow

As we tried to get comfortable closing the curtains there were several high stains that possibly consisted of someone’s bodily fluids, the same as the decoration pillow The stains continue to appear on the couch and inside the bed and behind the pillows The bathroom wasn’t to bad but had little to no toilet paper We decided not to fully unpack and go downtown to enjoy the night life a little Upon return we did ask for another room and noticed more appropriate room, we still saw yellow stains on the pillow and some dark stains on the couch The overall rating is definitely based on cleanliness The breakfast was light, however the waffles were crunchy as if it was nothing but sugar I would highly recommend doing your research and consider other available alternativesSafe Travels!

My wife and I have stayed here in the past as well for tennis tournaments at Mobile Tennis Center It is about 10-12 minutes away Although rooms have not been recently updated, the rooms and main areas were very clean and everyone was very nice and accommodating

Breakfast buffet was about what I would expect, but it was well staffed and did appear to be continuously restocked I felt safe there and plenty of food options close by I will be staying there again in the future

The extra stars are really and truly because of Ms Jocelyn and Melissa, the front desk associates and the shuttle driver (Forgot his name)

From the time we showed up, to the time we left, they were nothing less than amazing!!! Knowledgeable, resourceful, kind, personable I could go on We came for a Flower Show that was cancelled due to the sudden change in weather, but the staff at Hampton still made the visit a great one The one star is missing because the room wasn’t the cleanest and the shuttle van could use an good upholstery cleaning In the room, there was strands of hair, of all places, in the bathroom, the phone looked old and worn and the room it self stood for cosmetic touch-ups, I could go on, but overall, it was a decent place for us to lay after a long exhausting day Location is great! And the breakfast was yummy as usual! Thank you to the staff at this Hampton Inn, you guys are amazing!

Future BeachBum

I arrived in to the airport late so the rental car desk was closed and I had planned to stay here at the Hampton and grab my car in the morningI called the hotel as I was walking through the terminal The front desk lady was very pleasant, helpful and explained where I needed to be for the shuttle

The shuttle arrived promptly and the driver was also very friendly and helpful This theme continued on throughout my stayThe reason I’m posting this review is because this isn’t my normal experience these days especially on the grave yard shift It was VERY refreshing and I appreciate the commitment to customer serviceI would absolutely stay again due to this Great job folks

Booked this hotel because the overall reviews were pretty good Got to our room, and there were only 2 pillows on each queen bed Went to the front desk and they were only able to give me 2 additional pillows because there were no more available in the entire hotel

Went to take a shower, and every single bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was empty Do y’all even service these rooms daily?

Maddy.paige_ 27

Not bad at all! I checked in fast, my room was clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean, and breakfast was served in the morningOur room did lose power at about 3am but that was completely out of their control (bad storm) and everything was back on fairly quickly! I would stay here again 🙂 oh! And it’s a really good area with good food options and gas nearby

This is one of the best values we’ve found The hotel is ingenious in it’s appointments Space utilization, amenities and customer service is A+

Chris at the front desk was wonderful and Queen in the restaurant made breakfast very pleasantI have stayed in Ritz-Carlton properties that were not as clean and with poorer customer serviceKUDOS for a well designed and well managed and operated hotelThe park across the street was pleasant Being able to park once and walk everywhere was also nice

Steven Cameron

Overall this is a great hotel The reason for only leaving 4 stars

being that this is a Hilton, one would believe that the air conditioner in the room would work better than it did Yes we understand that it’s in the heat of the summer But it shouldn’t have taken until after midnight to cool off the room Secondly, I had to unplug the fridge due to the fact that it was extremely hot around the compressor To prevent a potential fire, I unplugged the fridgeOther than that great hotel and staff!!

Emily Reid Selvidge

I brought my 3 kids (10 months, 9, 12) for our first Mardi Gras I chose the location for the balcony/bar area since I have a baby and wanted the option to go in and out during the parade The day we checked out we walked around downtown then returned to have dinner and drinks to watch the parade

When we returned the staff followed us into the restaurant and asked us to leave because we were no longer “guests” of the hotel I was very disappointed as we had spent the past 2 nights in the hotel and had multiple meals in the hotel restaurant and was not told once we left we would not be able to return I have never been refused service or asked to leave a hotel restaurant Otherwise we had a great time The restaurant staff was amazing!

Definitely on a budget hotel Passing through from CA to FL When entering our room is smelt bad of mildew or a similar stench, got a new room that was better but still had an odd smell to it

The hotel is nice looking and relatively clean There are stains on the walls in some places and some of our towels had super curly hair imbedded in them, both of which were gross Don’t stay here if you’re looking for somewhere nice, stay here if you’re going to be here for a night or two

Jenny King

There is no rack for big towels :(No vent in the restroomBreakfast: egg and sausage biscuits were good

Everyday was the same We stayed three nightsIt took about 15 minutes to go the nearby attractions Wintzell’s Oysters house is next door Highly recommend it Must dine!

Carol Trammell

We have stayed at this location for several years now on our way to Destin for vacation Last year we were not as happy as we had been in the past and this year was WAY worseWe had three rooms, first two were okay, but they were dirty

Peanuts on the floor on the side of the bed, toilet seat was nasty, the vent over the toilet was disgusting in both rooms Third room smelled like Mold and Mildew, my daughter and her husband was in this room and she has bad allergies, she went down to the front desk and the lady was very helpful and moved them to another room, same floor a few doors downit was as stinky as the first one Daughter went down once again and the lady gave her keys to 3 different rooms on the same floor, of the 3 rooms, only 1 was acceptableAll the rooms had moldy looking stuff inside the ac units we will not be staying here again!

Hotel is beautiful inside Room is very nice, clean and roomy; beds are very comfortable There’s a $75 holding fee for incidentals

One drink vending machine only took cash, went to another vending machine and looked like it took cards; however, when trying it all it said was authorizing but never did anything so we canceled the transaction We went back to the room and tried to order some waters through room service but was told it might be a little bit because they will have to ask house keeping to bring it to us House keeping staff was very pleasant Restaurant was good, only one server available but she was great Parking options are either valet or self parking at another hotel parking garage for almost the same amount as the valet

John Olsen

Five star review, but that’s what I would expect to experience for a hotel in this price range Really impressive architecture inside, rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well maintained Ate dinner at the 1st floor bar

Food, atmosphere, and service were terrific Really enjoyed my stay, first class Only surprise was the $24 mandatory valet parking (or go find public garage), though I did take advantage of it and appreciate it

Zirconia Alleyne

The hotel is beautiful, but we were not treated well and some things are slipping through the cracks Valet was nice, but they are understaffed and couldn’t keep up with demand We saw them wreck a luxury vehicle in the rush of trying to keep up with customers

We booked the hospitality suite because we were in town for our wedding reception (my husband and I eloped last year in Kenya) and needed extra space to get dressed The suite looked nice but needed maintenance The Murphy bed leaned to one side and the first pack n play they brought for our newborn would not stay engaged (unsafe!) Upon checking out, my credit card was charged for a marble table that I’m sure was chipped before our stay Even after communicating that I noticed it was chipped while getting my makeup done, the director of sales charged us without doing further investigation This hotel looks great on the surface but its operations are struggling Also, the photographer for our bridal party called ahead to get permission for us to take photos inside the hotel; however that was not communicated with the staff on duty We were questioned by several staff members and watched like a hawk by the head of security even after he was given the info he needed It was such an uncomfortable experience and disappointing

Staff was friendly, patient, and professional The hotel was fully booked the night before my arrival, and staff was having a hard time getting rooms cleaned and ready in time for arriving guests I watched staff interact professionally under stressful circumstances

It’s easy to give good customer service when things are slow — it’s another thing to maintain calm under stress As for the facility, room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and hot shower Breakfast had nice options — including fresh fruit, waffles, and hard-boiled eggs And good, strong, hot coffee Location is close to interstate, which is certainly convenient, but photos suggest a relaxing outdoor fire pit area —it faces a fast food drive through Great for a place to rest on the road or while exploring the area, but not a hotel where you want to linger and enjoy outdoor spaces Lastly, I was on the third floor and could hear every step of the guests above me, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper I would definitely stay again

Mace

Loved this little hotel by the freeway! We were unable to stay another night in our Airbnb but they were able to help, even included a small discount to help with pricing There is a hot breakfast that consists of oatmeal, toast, cereal, waffles, and fruit Coffee and tea available 24/7

Even though we were warned, I wasn’t excited about the floors being damp from being cleaned, my children almost fell a few times from going to tile from the damp carpet Glad nobody got hurt The pool is saline not chlorine and is handicap accessible They do have ramps and handicap parking available as well Only 2 luggage carriers so if someone has one in their room you are out of luck The bathroom was a little dirty when we went to use it, there was something on the shower wall that looked kind of gross This hotel is pet accessible as well with a $50 pet fee with up to 2 pets allowed at a time Check in at 3pm Check out at 11am Microwave and small refrigerators in the room Dryer in the restroom Iron in the closet Also liked the curtain that could separate the beds from the little study area

THURAYYAH PITTS

Room was spacious and clean Smelled like bleach which was a good thing However sheets had wet spot (didn’t fully dry) they brought another set of sheets and same issue

I just covered the spot with a towel as I was just glad to know at least the sheets were clean lol However between the bleach used in cleaning of sheets and the bleach to clean room, smelled like a swimming pool The shower door was broken and the smoke detectors in the bedroom were covered (previous guests must have been smoking) But overall it was a good stay as it was clean and spacious Oh yea the food SUCKS

We were looking forward to our stay at what seemed like a great hotel in s perfect locationWell the location was spot onOn arrival we thought we were in a warehouse

There were stacks and stacks of crates and cardboard boxes and a distinct smell of cardboard You could not see the foyer or corridor for theseReception staff were friendly at all timesOn arrival at our floor the trash can was overflowing and bags of trash piled up next to itHaving settled in, explored to find a concert happening Judy a short walk away at the riverside which the reception had no idea about, we came back to enjoy the views from the sky lounge Only to find it locked Peering through the glass door we got a peek of the amazing views but utter disappointment that we could not access themFollowing morning more trash along with flies and odour by the elevator We told reception and she said she would get it attended to (All trash and trash cans had been removed when we returned later)Asking about the sky lounge she said they had not got the staff to open it Seems they don’t have the staff to press the bed linen either!Overall a disappointing stay

Lyndsey Hollingsworth

Extremely friendly staff The entrance/lobby makes you feel like you’re staying in a 5 star hotel Our room was ok

I’m not sure how well they clean them We found a pair of glasses on the floor next to the bed, and a cigarette but on the headboard (Non-smoking room) The location is incredible, and perfect if you’re heading out on a cruise

Gunter Barton

The hotel was in a good location and within walking distance of plenty of food and drinksThe room was very large and the bed was very comfortableThe skyview lounge was closed and the pool was closed the first day, which we weren’t made aware of prior to booking

The pool isn’t as advertised in pictures It doesn’t have chairs around it

We stayed from July 23/25 it was so amazing! Maria the Manager on duty was the first we saw she was so friendly and sweet she helped get us rooms right away and placed together this alone gave us peace of mind with a newborn baby then the staff all amazing with smiles and pleasant greetings! I was going down to wash and ran into a hskp at about 9pm and she was so happy asked if we needed anything that alone was so special I can’t say how much your staff made us feel so welcomed I would rate my stay at a 10+ and cannot wait to return again I didn’t want to leave It was perfect Thank you again for being so amazing

Gabrella Hinton

I didn’t have a clue about this Suite, but I was blown away when I arrived to see how it looked in comparison with some others And the room was nice, clean and spacious We had a nice window view of downtown, just in the mist of everything

In fact we walked to all the local locations Customer service was good I would stay again

Michael Bonner

25 Stars Check in was a breeze and front desk staff was very kind

Lobby is nice with reasonably priced snacks and drinks Get to the room and after getting settled, boom found a bed bug No one’s fault it happens After I inspected the beds (and my luggage) I brought the bug to Khaela and another young lady, also told them what should be done(oh btw, I am a health, sanitation, and habitability inspector for the Navy) They were polite and gave us a new room Complete 180 from our first room The furniture had food smudges, dishes not put away, fridge was dirty, and an overwhelming smell of what I assume was curry from the previous guest We stayed without a fuss regardless The next morning realized I had left my toothbrush in bed bug room Here’s the sad part, went to the room to retrieve it (still had the key) and found the housekeeper MAKING THE BEDS I HAD TOSSED DURING MY INSPECTION Room was not put out of order, clearly pest control wasn’t called Disappointing I would recommend the stay due to friendly hotel staff Just be sure to check the corners of the mattresses

Customer service was excellent! Room was awesome! Hard wood flooring was so clean you could walk barefoot and NOTHING get on our feet!! Bed was so comfortable! House keeping lady was super nice as was the front desk person Most of all I left something valuable in the room I called and within five minutes Christie went to the room found my item and called me back! I highly recommend staying here

I will again for sure!

We had a two night stay and everything went very well Simple check in Our room was easy to get in and out of on the ground floor of the courtyard

Our room was simple but well appointed The AC seemed to run all night, but it was not loud and we slept well on a bed that we initially thought was going to be too soft They are right beside the civic center and a short, 3-block walk to Dauphin Street and all of the bars, restaurants and music venues And parking was free! We would stay here again

This stay was very different from my last stay a few months ago I posted a glowing review on that two-night stay Since this was a longer stay, I noticed a number of deficiencies

To begin with, the patio area that includes a fire pit and the BBQ grill, is dedicated as a smoking area I counted 8 well-used ash trays this morning Thus, it is not fit for those of us who do not smoke There is no other outside area for relaxing for non-smokers It seems unfair to penalize non-smokers who want to enjoy the spaceThe staff, for the most part, are friendly, but the front desk is usually un-attended There is no buzzer or bell to alert staff when they’re needed That’s annoyingThere were other problems There were no towels or water in the tiny workout facility – although it is set up to have both towels and water There were no towels in the pool areaThe lack of upkeep stood out on this visit as well Walls are not only marred, they are damaged in many placesEverything I’ve mentioned can be addressed by management This property has potential to be a LOT better if management pays attention

LyNette Bush

I stay at this location any time I’m in Mobile Last month’s visit, in which I traveled with my elderly parents (80’s), convinced me it is now being poorly managed*The Hotel was under construction & the website did not reflect that, so I could book somewhere else

*Our rooms weren’t available to us until a full 2hrs after regular check-in This is AFTER we confirmed early check-in*The entrance to the hotel/Lobby area was under active construction while we were there and we had to navigate around contractors and their supplies*Contractors parked in the handicapped space during our entire stay This made it difficult for entrance and egress*The Breakfast was measly and without normal condiments*I complimented Porsha & Sherwin individually because the Ass’t Manager on duty (James) was rude and abrasive Sherwin was extremely attentive and welcoming as the Kitchen/Dining Staff although the offerings were substandard compared to past visits to this location and Porsha was helpful as Housekeeping considering the circumstancesHad I been travelling alone, I may not have bothered with a complaint, but my elderly parents were with me and this absolutely was not a Marriott experience, and I’ll not be returning based on this visitWe were compensated a total of $40 by the Hotel The Ass’t Mgr, James, offered me 20,000 points, and it’s now a month later, and I still haven’t received themMarriott should do better

I am sensitive to smells, but the room was absolutely pleasant, clean, and fresh It was charming and comfortable We had a delightful time

Everyone working there was courteous, helpful, friendly, and hospitable I wish the patrons had been the same Several people spent their time smoking near the pool One man even stayed on the pool deck smoking cigarette after cigarette and tossing the butts on the ground where people walk barefoot If only we as customers could be as courteous to one another as the staff of Drury Inn is to all of us!

We stayed at this location, for two nights The desk help was wonderful, the room was nice The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh

Their happy hour was fun I rate this Hotel a 4 for only one reason The design of the building sucks Never in my life have I been to a four-story hotel of this size and all they had was one medium-size elevator to service the staff and the guest We stayed on the 3rd floor and standing for 10 minutes waiting on an elevator that was empty enough to hold us, was a norm in the mornings and afternoons This has been exacerbated by the Covid distancing rules I am handicapped and the stairs were not an option unless for emergencies The location is not the easiest to get to either but that is because of the design of the streets in this area of Mobile That for sure is not their fault The staff had nothing to do with the poor design of the building, so I rate them a 5 We would stay here again but I would request a room on the ground

Amazing customer service! The best breakfast I’ve seen at any hotel and the dinner is amazing too, yes I said dinner! They serve dinner with drinks I was with my family and none of us drink but they have 2 or 3 free alcoholic drinks with your dinner The rooms were clean they had a refrigerator and microwave in the room

The store at the front where you buy snacks was expensive so a vending machine would have been nice but I still rate it as my favorite hotel ever

This was the best hotel stay I’ve had in a while My family and I stayed here for the passing of another relative Its always good to receive good energy during your time of sorrow

The cleanliness was superb 👌🏾 the attitudes and act of kindness was noticed If Brook is still working there upon your stay don’t hesitate to ask for her helpShe is phenomenal And I ironically lucked up getting the last room available that happen to be a king suite that I enjoyed all to myself although I was hardly there 😅

Wendy Wilkins

Nice hotel! Spacious king room and we were granted an early check in to use the outdoor pool Front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating! Free breakfast was awesome and the area was well maintainedOnly disappointment is the entrance to the pool is a smoking area for employees

Benjamin Schwartz

Staff was very friendly, room air conditioning was AMAZING (very important in the humidity of south Alabama) Room was a bit worn, but not too badThe reason for only three stars? The carpets were disgusting in both the room and common areas

The bottom of our socks became black from walking around the room and there were a couple of sticky spots I don’t blame housekeeping, this is not something vacuuming would fix The whole place is long overdue for a professional steam clean

The staff was the only good thing I could compliment them on Super nice staff and welcoming However, my room was not as clean and well kept up as I expected

I found some dead cockroaches laying on the floor behind the furniture and other bug bodies So it’s not very well inspected by housekeeping Also, the shampoo bottle in the shower was not restocked and full so I ended up having to go to the store and get some shampoo I also killed a couple of cockroaches crawling around I don’t know if it is because its the bottom floor but I would highly recommend pest inspectionI would very kindly recommend housekeeping up their cleaning and restocking abilities and inspections and do thorough checks around the rooms to make sure it is clean and fully stocked for their guests

Well I should say this is not the best Fairfield I have stayed before The hotel is clean, but customer service is not the best The front door key card reader doesn’t work

Complained about it twice, no one took care of it My room door handle is messed up Complained about it twice, no one took care of it There is no printer in this place but they have a sign which says browse and print Internet kept breaking down every few hours Called the front desk and they couldn’t help I used to stay at Marriott a lot 3 years back and changed to Hilton because of such issues Hilton was sold out so didn’t have another option than stay in Marriott I was hoping things changed But disappointed to say the least, they could do better to take of their customers

Friendly employees, spacious room, good variety breakfast itemsThis was our 2nd time staying at this Fairfield hotel We had a good experience during our previous stay, so when we were looking for a hotel in the area, there was no doubt we wanted to stay here again

The front desk agent was friendly and checked us in efficiently Our two queens room was spacious There was plenty of space for us to open our luggage and also lots of countertop space in the bathroom to stow our toiletriesAlmost everything was in great working condition The only thing that was not was the refillable wall mounted (glued) shampoo bottle which fell off That will need to be reglued We loved the pullout desk, quiet AC, microwave, mini fridge, and built-in luggage rackAs for breakfast, for fruits they had fresh whole strawberries (rarely seen at this level of hotels), apples, bananas, and cubed honeydew For hot items, they had Jimmy Dean sandwiches, sausage patties, pre-made waffles, and quiches (also a rarely seen item) They also had other common bread and yogurt itemsAll in all, we had another good stay and will still recommend this place to anyone looking for a hotel in this area!

I didn’t stay overnight So I cannot give a rating on the room but the hotel was very clean and above average decor The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful

I was their for a conference room meeting with my son in law and the staff made me welcome and comfortable while I waited for him The dining room was well stocked The front desk clerk yesterday was so nice and hospitable Thank you!

Do not book this hotel if you think it offers transport to the cruise terminal It is advertised as a hotel that will let you park your car at the hotel and transport you to the terminal It is my fault for not calling before I booked the hotel, but I was surprised when I got there, and she said they no longer offer that package

There wasn’t any help for the misunderstanding The hotel is currently under construction, but it is a nice hotel I love my room It is spacious and reasonably priced I would have rated higher if not for the cruise terminal mishap I now have to pay to park at the terminal, which is an additional $100 I was not expecting to pay

Meera Meera

Staff was kind It was a midnight check in Staff had a screw driver we could borrow for our car to resolve a door issue

However they put us in a king vs 2 queens Was too tired from a 10 hr drive to get it switched Room was simple and cozy, but lacked building maintenance bathroom door doesn’t shut and toilet had water running issues Fine for a few hours of sleep

Excellent place to stay when visiting Mobile, AL Our suite was extremely comfortable, neat & clean Lots of extras provided for our convenience & comfort

The office Staff & kitchen employees were all very friendly & helpful They made you feel welcomed They did everything to make our stay there pleasant We loved the two nights of free dinner food, beer & wine Plenty of indoor & outdoor games to play in addition to the pool & exercise room No wonder they have received so many awards of excellence If ever in Mobile again this is the place to stay I highly recommend this locationSelina D, Decatur, GA

What a horrible experience! First room had non-working refrigerator, moved to 2nd which had non-working AC in mid-July and they wouldn’t move us again or try to fix until following mid-morning, but that was just part of it Lynn at front desk, after I had voluntarily gone down to let her know I had service animals, accused me of having fake documentation and charged me an illegal pet fee She was so terrible and embarrassed me and had me so upset after

I still have an open complaint against this hotel & I will never stay here again If customer service doesn’t make it right, I will also not patronize Hilton brands again either My husband and I travel for work 85% of the days in a year, so I’m sure another hotel chain would love to have us

We decided to give this place a try despite it’s rating…You can tell they tried with decor and presentation also staff was nice and helpful I get it that it’s a old building but come on The lobby was nicely decorated but the complementary water which looked nice had no cups

Then the hall ways were dark and hot with a strange smell The ice machine was broken The carpets looked very old and dirty The bathroom looked clean from a far but needed help Sink was leaking, mini fridge was warm The beds were hard and the pillows… Come on!!! They are so tiny The closet was very dark We didn’t eat at the restaurant because we heard it was awful I would give this place a 2 star but we did get to rest and it was quiet and safe I wouldn’t go back

Nice hotel in downtown Mobile 8 minute walk to Convention center on Water Street They do not have a parking garage

A separate valet parking company will serve you at the door for $25 per night It is easy to retrieve vehicle with text click I never had to wait Very efficient There is a nearby garage that says hotel $10 this is not actually the case for Admiral It is for the hotel across the street HOLIDAY Inn Express I think I had a wonderful corner room with a beautiful bath and plenty of room NO MICROWAVES They have a refrigerator My first night (Monday) I heard music all night long, but did not see or hear anything in the streets or hallway It must have been below me

Sandi Davis

We stayed two nights at The Admiral The room was nice The staff were very helpful and accommodating

I had requested a room on an upper floor because there was a wedding and a reunion at the hotel this weekend The beds were super comfortable, and we slept very well both nights The hotel is in a great location, and we walked to many restaurants, a candy store, and the history museum We will stay here again for a return trip to Mobile
