The staff (front desk, maintenance, and household) was very friendly and extremely helpful The rooms were clean, comfortable and roomy When asking for more blankets they were more than accommodating

It was a very homey type feel The front desk concierge made us feel welcomed and even gave us a great tip on where to get some good deep dish Chicago pizza It was a 10 minute drive to the Naval Academy and not far from Six Flags Walmart is right around the corner and there were many places close by to grab something to eat I would definitely come back and stay again

I would give the customers service here no stars but you can’t But first I would like to thank Hailey the GM of this place for her rude and disrespectful customer service Thank you Hailey for canceling my paid for reservations which lead me to spending an extra $1200

00 because you didn’t like the fact that we didn’t want the rooms by the office Thanks Hailey for throwing our cards at us Thanks Hailey for refusing us and refusing to let us rebook our rooms I now know what it must of felt like back in the 30s, 40s, and 50s Thanks Hailey because of you I was able to avoid rachetness!!! She has her employees job scared to speak up for what’sright (Blake) Thanks Hailey because of you I found somewhere more desirable to stay Thank you Hailey for this awful experience… People please do not stay here Its not worth it Better Room or down the street and I would rather sleep in my car Peace

This is by far the BEST Hilton property we have visited I worked in front office hospitality for 3 years and we lodge in hotels for my husbands work often so I am usually very picky…honestly I haven’t found a single thing to critique about this property!Niki and Leo from breakfast are so delightful My two year old daughter especially loves the extra attention “Miss Niki” shows her in delivering her breakfast with love

Niki also is so friendly to every guest that comes down I never see anyone leave with a frown She has a super power of de-escalating grumpy guestsIsrael’s breakfast is on point, he makes everything fresh and as you order so everything turns out perfect every timeEveryone from the front office has also been so helpful with anything we need help with Greg has been super helpful to create an efficient check-in and helps us with securing a parking spot to charge our carCleaning staff has been on top of everything, they keep all common areas so clean and fresh I was super impressed to see that when they mop the floors, they have a second person come by to dry so no slippery floor!Great job to the hiring management for staffing this hotel Seriously, this property should be used as an example to other properties that are opening

Hotel was pretty good Room was standard, felt a bit aged and non-updated It was quite annoying that the restaurant wasn’t open since it stated that the hotel had an on-site restaurant when I booked it, with no mention of it being closed, and no other option close enough to walk to

The breakfast was good, except I felt like I over paid by booking a room with breakfast included as I only ate from the cold buffet, which was ~$6 a day If you’re more of a hot food (ie omelettes, pancakes, waffles, etc) breakfast person, it’s probably a good deal, as that was $14 a day if I remember correctlyOverall it was a good stay

Ashley Odett

Very pleased with my stay here March 14-15th Hotel lobby and rooms were clean and inviting Rooms have great wifi and ethernet hookups, which was convenient for both personal and business use

Staff here is excellent! They were very accommodating in the lobby area while we had a small gathering during our stay Can’t speak highly enough of the service received from the dinner/bar staff during both breakfast and dinner hours Front desk staff was also friendly and informative regarding any questions that I had during my stay I was slightly disappointed to see the pool and hot tub closed during this time for cleaning, but glad to see it was being done, and felt no inconvenience as staff had already made arrangements for guests to use these facilities at a separate hotel adjacent to the parking lot 5/5 will definitely be staying here again next time I am in the area

The hotel itself is great! Everyone at the front desk was really nice! The only complaint we had was that the shuttle driver was not a great driver at all- he drove real slow, changed lanes recklessly, cared more about the radio station rather than getting all of us back to the hotel When he came back to pick us up from the wedding venue (which he was very late), he told us all that he hated us and then said he was kidding, but it wasn’t professional to say anywayAgain, the hotel was great! Comfortable beds, complimentary breakfast and kind staff

I would just avoid the shuttle if possible

ZERO STARS! Both pillows had BLOOD 🩸🩸🩸 on them! We’re not talking about hair on towels We’re talking about biohazard ☣️☣️☣️☣️☣️ Human pathogen! This is beyond unacceptable, even in “normal” times, let alone during a pandemic

I told the front desk and the lady didn’t care She said what do you want me to do about it, I don’t have another room! I had to sleep in my car and they wouldn’t refund anything NEVER STAY HERE!!! 🛑

Had an extended stay at this residence inn, the staff were all wonderful, friendly and accommodating I’d like to specifically mention Miriam the breakfast host- she was a highlight of my stay! Always so friendly, kind and thoughtful She clearly put so much love into her work and it shows

She made my mornings a little brighter! I would recommend this hotel to anyone, not only for cleanliness but for superior hospitality

Brianna Drevlow

I have been staying at this location weekly since January 2022 The staff has been nothing short of incredible and welcoming In particular, the night lead, Jared, has been very kind and thoughtful, ensuring my stay is the best it can be

He even goes the extra step to include things like extra water and towels, upgrades when possible, and evening putting out my favorite candy in the front desk candy dish when I am there! The rooms are very clean, the property is well-kept, and the breakfast areas are safely maintained While I initially chose to stay there due to it being close to my work location, I now regularly go back there because they truly take care of me I recommend staying here if you are in need of a long-term stay option!

Dee Humphrey

Quality hotel What truly makes this a 5/5 stay verus any other Marriott hotel is the INCREDIBLE staff In particular, Miriam (the breakfast host/chef) has the best hospitality and kindest soul Some mornings I would arrive after the breakfast was closed from an overnight shift at the hospital and she would save me a breakfast sandwich in a bag to make sure I didn’t miss out

She is something special!!

Vinny Valdez

Extremely friendly staff, especially Becka walking distance to CTCA but they also provide shuttle services every 20 minutes If you are a light sleeper make sure you ask for the parking side room not the street side

Most rooms air conditioner doesn’t meet the standards of someone from Texas 🙂 The water pressure could be a bit better but overall very pleasant experience There are only three handicap spots sharing with several other businesses so expect to either be dropped off by someone caring for you or plan to walk a pretty great distance

Anthony Street

Great location Good restaurants near by Coffee shop on site

Rooms were clean and comfortable It was quiet Good view Price was a little high in relation to accommodations, but not extremely high They also offer a chill meeting room Good for business or romantic travel But if travelling alone I would select a different hotel

The Smitty

Went to check in on 7/14 and upon arrival the front desk person was outside as I was walking in He asked “are you checking in” and I said “yes” He said “well let me see if your room is ready because it might not be”

The time was later than 130pm My train was very late getting in After looking at a monitor for 2 seconds he said “your rooms not ready” He didn’t call the cleaning ladies to find out how long it would be and just said come back at 3pm which I understand is check in time I explained to him that I am a diamond elite member and I requested a 2pm check out He said he could do 1pm and would have to see how the reservations worked out and let me know I again explained to him that I am a diamond elite member which means I stay at IHG Properties a lot He did not care and honestly his customer service skills were off right from seeing him at the door Like I said, I’ve stayed at numerous IHG properties and I’m always greeted with a good evening or good morning, once they check me in they thank me for being a diamond elite member and remind me of points that I would get, sometimes even a bottle of water I walked past that lobby to go out at least 6 times and not a person at that desk opened their mouth to say anything Only the breakfast lady spoke When I checked out the same guy was at the desk and when I put my keys in the return he didn’t say “thank your for your stay or have a good day” and I checked out today With that being said the conditions of the rooms were very dated, patched up holes in the walls, chipped paint and the sofa bed look like it was picked up off a street corner Definitely will not stay at this holiday inn express again

That Girl

Good location, in hotel row near a few decent places to eat or Walmart walkable

Affordable rates, indoor pool, decent breakfast Bedding linens a bit dingy and tattered That old synthetic cheap kind that cling to you when u sleep… owner should upgrade, they are horrible to sleep under But staff was friendly, all in all a pleasant stay

Mo Lawal

This was by far my worst experience in ANY hotel ever! Check-in was horrible: received key cards to room that was broken The cleaning ladies were VERY helpful in getting us situated I honestly will never book her even for free

I understand it’s hard to deal with the public but you get paid to do a job I also found ants in our room I was so disgusted with my initial service I refused to bring the problem up to the front desk and went to the local store and bought some insects killer Outside of having a great location this was definitely not the best of what Holiday Inn should be

Jamal Furat Mussa

Staff was friendly, location was great, room was clean but only small complaints The room had a odor, like a moldy odor, I went to Walgreens nearby to get a candle because the odor was not pleasant One more thing was the bugs, there’s insects and bugs coming out of the heat and AC vents so I didn’t turn it on because I didn’t want to get a room full of insects

If These things improved or someone sealed the vents and cleaned out the vents, made improvements to the smell, this hotel would be great! Thank you!

I cannot say enough great things about this place My house had a carbon monoxide issue in the middle of the night that required us to vacate Not only did this hotel take us at 3 AM but they set up the pack n play in my room for my 1 year old daughter so I could get her back to sleep quickly

Loved the room- perfect for traveling with kids (separate door for after the baby went to sleep) AND our dog! Thank you so much for keeping us safe!

Bradley Stratz

Nice little place away from home Only issue that I had Told the service desk that I will have a late checkout

As I work nights and sleep through the day While I was sleeping I put the “do not disturb” sign up on the outside door As well as locked both the door handle and door stopper on the pillar The house keeping consistently ignored the sign and tried multiple times to get into my room while I was sleepingi was not able to get a good sleep They need to train their staff or communicate with their staff appropriately

Amy McGee

Doesn’t even deserve the star nor my hard earned money My whole entire stay was nothing but harassment and disgust by management Never once we my room cleaned by housekeeping even when I asked them for it but still never did it the once a wk that they told me I needed to request for

I had to change my own lines and towels and kitchen stuff I also had to wash the stuff because I wasn’t always given the stuff Tried to get my money back from the bank they said I had to go through them Their customer service line isn’t helpful either They didn’t need to talk to management about my claim and they could’ve given me back my money because of the disrespect and disgusting service that I received there I feel bad for the front desk ladies that they have to deal with horrible managers They should never had gotten my money I should’ve gone and stayed at Extended Stay where they have bigger rooms and better kitchens and better service

Standout staff Accommodating and truly kind Rooms were fine, although both rooms I stayed in had issues with shower temp and water pressure, and multiple common areas like the bar and restaurant were under renovation

They did their best Overall this is an outstanding property under renovation to keep up the standard of service you expect from their brand A great place to stay The attached Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is a game changer

minghao liu

I’ve been to at least 10 Renaissance hotels around the world, and this is easily the worst Renaissance hotel I’ve lived at The service was terrible There was no hairdryer when we checked in, and when I tried to call the front desk, nobody answered, so I had to come to the reception

Also, they weren’t able to provide any slippersThe buildings are quite old, and due to renovation, only half the amenities are open Sound insulation is terrible We were hearing constant door slamming and children screaming, despite us staying in a CORNER ROOM! We got woken up before 7AM on both days we stayed there The shower has very low water pressure, and it takes half an hour to do a “quick” shower There’s also no access control for the elevators, which means non hotel guests can get to any floor they want Fortunately, this neighborhood is relatively safe, so this won’t pose too much of a security riskThe only upside is the price We booked two nights for $135/night, after taxes and fees, which is a good deal for the Chicago area around the memorial weekend However, with the problems mentioned above, this hotel isn’t worth the price

Laura Thompson

CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT: We stayed here for a wedding and the room was very nice and clean However, our car, parked in the hotel lot had its catalytic converter stolen overnight Unfortunately, there are no cameras on the parking lots so the police couldn’t do anything

The GM returned my voicemail and did comp our room which was very appreciated (but not much to offset the cost of a new catalytic converter) The theft of catalytic converters is not unique to this hotel, but its proximity to 94 definitely makes it a target I personally feel like putting in cameras is an important step the hotel should take A Marriott should provide some level of security I’m a student and this financial loss is not easily absorbed Just be aware!

Heya Howdy

I had a horrible experience just trying to book a room for this weekend My son is graduating from boot camp and my ex-husband and I wanted to get separate rooms in the same hotel so the kids could go back and forth from room to room I booked a 2 night stay on their website, and got an email verifying so

4 days after booking my room I called to check on something and was told my reservation could not be located The hotel could not even find my info using my confirmation number After 3 different people and 30 minutes of wait time, I was told my reservation was cancelled the same day I booked it No answer as to why or by whom I didn’t cancel it The hotels system obviously had made a mistake or error Without trying to help me or offer any customer service whatsoever, I was told the hotel was now fully booked and I had to look elsewhere Even tho I still had my email showing when and what I had previously booked! How sad they didn’t even offer any help at all! Luckily I was able to find a room at another hotel close by My ex-husband said they had also messed up his reservation but he was able to fix it in time Please be VERY careful of booking on line with them If you do take that chance please follow up after doing so I will not be booking with them again as I’ve seen how they handle their own customer service issues

Traci Walker

We came here because my son was graduating from The Navy Boot Camp which was 15 minutes away The rooms were very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful I came a second time to visit about a month later and had arrived early

My room was not ready yet so they offered me an upgraded room so I can get in a room instead of waiting in the lobby for a few hours I was very happily surprised and very comfortable There are stores and restaurants literally across the street so that was pretty handy too Very nice place and Devan at the desk was very helpful and friendly I highly recommend!! Plus great complimentary breakfast spread in the morning

Viraj Summers

People are friendly Location is great But if your stay in long then get ready to clean your own room

I had asked for a cleaning for the room on the 3rd day, since I had 2 kids and 2 dogs But they said no, and gave me sheets So I had to make my own beds It was disappointing There was NO point in cleaning the room the day before I was checking out I would not stay here again

Kryshna Beattiger

I was going to leave 3 stars because I was so surprised at the night auditor our first night being so proactive and helpful when I expressed our concerns over the status of the room After speaking with the manager this morning at checkout, I can only leave 1 I worked at a Staybridge for many years and love the brand and the quality of service they always provide

Along with the quality of maintenance of their rooms and building I can’t say that about this location Walked into room and immediately noticed the large bulge in the ceiling of the living room 6-8 inches wide and about 2 feet long Continued through room and when I went into the bathroom, noticed evidence of extreme water damage and at the base of the door trim-mold because of said damage I took photos and planned on speaking with staff in the morning Late that night, while my family was sleeping, I was reading in the living room The guests upstairs were so incredibly loud and stomping-but it comes with the territory They stomped so hard that all of a sudden a piece of the ceiling (where the large bulge was) fell onto the couch and a large crack had opened up I went to the front desk and she was so helpful and said she would be taking 50% off our stay I was so thankful and was not expecting that at all They were 100% full so moving rooms was not an option When we checked out, I went to front desk to get our receipt and check out and thank them for being so accommodating, the manager printed off my receipt and I noticed only 50% was taken off for one night When I had asked her, she said she had no idea about this but thanks for staying I told her the ceiling literally fell on me She said “I had no idea, sorry Have a great day Here’s a card if you want to dispute this” We had a very long drive ahead of us with small children, so disputing this right then and there was not something I could take the time to do I plan on sending an email to manager and also their corporate as well This was unacceptable behavior from the management Things happen Out of our control and the night auditor was fantastic But the fact that I was treated with zero regard and said to have a good day from management is not ok I hope this gets resolved immediately

Hanslik Julie

We had to wait 45 mins to check in because they tried to take money for our stay twice Every employee there was trying to run our card They ended taking money out twice anyway

Now have to wait days for our money to go back on our card They were not pleasant at all The lady that ran the breakfast area is very rude Our bathroom had black wavy hair all over the floor They had kids above our room that were running around most of our stay The hotel was OK They have a fire pit area that we did enjoy Heated pool I personally wouldn’t recommend this hotel The staff seem pretty incompetent

larry wright

It was a suite with a full kitchen Everything was very clean and put away It had two TVs

And although there may be an additional cost I believe it’s pet friendly And it wasn’t much more than a normal room The service was as expected but the staff was very friendly They had a decent complimentary breakfast The location served my needs but I have no idea what is in the area If I come back in the area I will definitely be staying here again

They waived fees and helped us with dinning options Our room was great, clean, and we loved having a full fridge, stove, and dishes to eat and hang out with family and our SR comfortably My son has A school here so we will be back to see him again and will certainly be staying here!!! Thanks for everything to the GM and Chad for all your help

Pros: Room was a suite with kitchenette for under $70, so it was a pretty good value It was reasonably clean, and the bed was comfortableThe breakfast was decent – all individually wrapped packaged food, like breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, oatmeal

Cons: there were a couple broken alcohol bottles on the sidewalk between buildings My room also had very little soundproofing from outside noise, and the furnace was very loud, kicking on every fifteen minutes or so

**update** After staying at this hotel for 22 nights (checking in and out over several weeks,) I will not earn any points or upgraded member perks, because I booked through United which was still cheaper than booking through the members website that has a discountFor work, I have stayed at several different hotels in the area I prefer this one, because this is an extended stay suite where you have a full refrigerator, 2 burner stove top, dishwasher, and kitchen with dishes

I have not had time to use the amenities Pets are accepted The rooms are not very sound proof The person on 2nd/3rd shift is super friendly and easy to talk with

The pandemic cutbacks have really made this place inferior to what the Marriott standard used to be We certainly can get by without daily maid service, however there was one tiny bar of soap for two nights for two people We had to move it back-and-forth between the shower and the bathroom

There’s in room coffee to make in the morning, but only enough for one out of two morningsBoth TVs were unplugged, and it took us a few minutes to figure out that we had to plug them in to get them to workThere was a clock radio, but the buttons to reset the time to the correct time only worked for minutes, but not for the hours I guess everyone travels with a cell phone, so the clock in the hotel is now superfluousThe computers were down when we checked in, and they had to take a photo copy of my drivers license and credit card Of course, they said they would shred it once it was entered, but in this day and age, businesses are not supposed to leave that information visible to employees at any timeWe called the front desk to ask for an hour delay at checkout time, but we still had someone knocking at our door half an hour before the promised checkout time to clean the roomThere is a morning coffee bar downstairs, but on a Sunday morning when it was busy, I had to ask for the cream containers to be refilled There were no stirring sticks, but I snuck a spoon from the buffet next-doorWe did have a lovely well presented buffet breakfast for a large groupThe room was clean, and almost everything else was in working order, although the shower drained extraordinarily slowly The room was clean, and everything seemed relatively new and freshHopefully as pandemic fueled staffing shortages improve, they will be able to undo some of the cuts that they’ve been forced to make

My wife and I had a night away and stayed here, close to our homeNice and clean hotel and roomSince my in-laws booked us the room as a surprise, they booked it through hotels

com instead of Bonvoy direct They were nice enough to honor my Gold Elite status and the amenities that are associated Very nice of themNice hotel, nice staff, and an a around solid property I will definitely stay here again for a local hotel

I will give you the good, and the not so good I hesitate to call it bad, because it really wasn’t terrible, but worth notingFirst, the good

Hotel staff were AMAZING! They were so friendly and helpful From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff to the bar staff – they could not be nicer With every interaction I felt like familyThe room was very spacious and very clean Every room is a suite, so there is a separate bedroom that can be closed from the remainder of the roomThe price was amazing, I wold have expected to pay much moreNow for the not so good I was there in early July, and it was hot outside However, the A/C in the hotel was on overdrive It was so cold in the hotel lobby, bar, and eating area you almost needed a coat or sweatshirt In fact I did see several older folks bundled up because it was so darn coldSame with my room When I first opened the door, I was surprised at how cold it was I had to turn off the A/C to get the room up to a manageable temperatureAnd while the room was super clean, you could tell it is in need of updating The bathroom was great, but not very bright And the sink drained very slowly Also, the hot water faucet would leak when the cold water was turned on, making a sizeable puddle on the counter All of these are easily fixed if they were to spend some time making regular updatesI am still providing 4 stars because the good far outweighs the not-so-good Will definitely stay there again, as it is close to highways and friends and family when I travel to Chicago

I would have given 5 stars for room, but I must be honest about some finishes in the bathroom A little tired, but overall, such a pleasant stay and worth the extra to stay The evening reception was laid back and had a terrific bartender

The other bartender in the restaurant was also fantastic, giving us a tip in a local Chicago style pizza place The breakfast was superb, and the made to order omelettes along with the service everywhere were unmatched! Great job in staffing and keeping up with the needs of your customers

I was pretty excited to see a quiet place It has amazing indoor view I enjoyed breakfast: it has various options

Staff was friendly Erving time snack was a good option Little issue with room and restroom plumbing but overall I have a great leisure trip with my family It was quite and adequate during night time Elevator has secure operating option I recommend it for family and friends

Nice hotel and good location Quiet area, and friendly staff Family friendly hotel, free breakfast omelet made to order, free drinks during happy hour! Pool is okay, but can be busy, which makes it difficult to swim or play, wish it was bigger for such a large hotel! Walls are thin in the suites, living area, no door sweeper, and you can hear basically anyone walking by the hall

Overall good experience and for the deal we received it was great Spacious living space and bedroom (2 queen beds, two TV, a couch and desk/chair and single swivel sofa chair, wet bar sink and microwave/fridge/coffee keurig, plenty of drawers for clothes)

This review is based on my experience staying one time, for two nightsWe enjoyed our stay We love that it’s pet friendly The bed was comfortable

The breakfast was just okay The staff was very nice We would/will stay there againThe sofa was a bit worn and uncomfortable to sit on A fridge was placed in the closet that used to have a door The click and lock flooring is very cheap, but maybe by design since they allow pets

Lisa Zhu

The staff is really nice, the lobby has plenty of space for hanging out with friends The breakfast shop offerings are affordable and look great The only big problem I have is with how little sound proofing the rooms have

For the whole night I was listening to bathroom flushes in the adjacent rooms And starting from about 6am I started hearing banging of doors because of how the room doors are designed to slam, very loudly, especially through thin walls Then the vaccuming in the hallway started around 7am I get it, it’s not a 5-star luxury hotel, but I think some little things can improve to make the stay more enjoyable

Lewis Kay

The staff was nice, but I cannot say the same about our stay We had adjoining rooms and both were horrible!! Mold was in the ceilings and there was a stench of sewage The couches were soiled, food was on the wall, and the headboards, bed skirts and sheets were all dirty

The sinks were slow to drain, feces was on the toilet and the shower doors would not stay closedAnts were crawling between our beds, on the bathroom walls and floors, which were also spacing Housekeeping did not change our linen while we were away, as requested, and because of the issues we kept encountering, they switched our room 3 times My children and I were very displeased by the upkeep of this hotel property and opted to end our getaway However, there is a $50 early departure fee, totaling $100 for both rooms As for customer service: After submitting a complaint and photos of our stay, a representative’s email stated it was “hard to get in touch with me due the time difference” No one has followed up with me since

Went here for an Amazon interview, beautiful place Seems like an amazing place to stay I never stayed here but it would be on my bucket list

To stay at an double tree by HiltonSuper cleanA lot of parking space, an couple of restaurants and gas stations are close by

This specific hotel itself was great Stuff happens and things break My room was almost $250 for my kids and I

This was supposed to be a special experience and memory for them as it was their first competition They are young Didn’t need to purchase a hotel room we don’t live that far but wanted them to be well rested Both AC units could not keep up with the room It happens I didn’t make a big deal about it because I work outside for the most part all year round Was still trying to make it a positive, memorable experience for my two Littles Maintenance couldn’t come till 9pm The room on both sides were close to 80 Staff and management were kind, respectful, and did what they can Hilton however, their customer service was incompetent, unprofessional, and wasted my time The hotel itself has no way to help in this situation after you leave because the advance payment was through Hilton DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE OR THROUGH HILTON Pay Doubletree if possible

Sandra Revnell

The room was on the small side but clean Generally speaking, the décor of the hotel is both drab and dated The hotel appeared short-staffed, with only one person attending the front desk

As a result, all attempts to call the front desk were in vain – they went unanswered If you need to stay here, use the app and digital key to check-in — you will wait at the front desk for far too long to get a room key
