Felix

Stayed at hotel for honeymoon and it was perfect Amazing food delivered to the room from the restaurant, all staff were friendly and accommodating Everything was clean and loved the suite, the tub is large enough even my 6’5” hubby was able to comfortably relax and bathe

The common area was luxurious so it was nice to have a quiet meal in the room one night and play cards with a local friend Definitely want to go back! The rooftop bar was amazing as well!!

I have stayed at Omni Viking Lakes a few times, and there are a some things that keep me coming back The hotel is beautiful! The Nordic Viking theme is just perfect, with subtle and tasteful nods to the Purple&Gold Vikings who’s training facility is just next door This hotel is high end while still being inviting and comfortable

Side note: If you are a MN Vikings fan, you just might end up having a drink and some great conversation with a player or coach ;)The rooms and spaces are exceptionally clean and well appointed The staff- from the front desk to the restaurant, and bar staff- have all been so kind, professional, and welcomingTheir loyalty program is so thoughtful! Sometimes a glass of champagne at check in, complimentary wine/beer at the lounges or restaurants, or complimentary coffee from the in-house Caribou Coffee branded shop are always so appreciated I recently also booked services at the spa and it was truly a luxury experienceSo, with all of the hotels to choose from in the area, I’ll continue to come to Omni

Cassandra Krzebietke

This place is excellent My fiancé and I booked a regular room and were able to upgrade to a suite for half the price We had a huge bathtub and shower room

Very clean room, comfy bedThe food down at the restaurant is good too Only complaint I have is the fries were not all that great But my Korean Fried Chicken sandwich and his steak was so yummy! We had breakfast down at the little coffee shop (wasn’t great for the price…)We also got couples massages at the spa and were treated like royalty when we went in there You can use the spa all day if you book a serviceOverall, it was a nice and enjoyable experience We were sad to leave!

We had a great time The kids loved the water park We all loved the bowling

Bella Linda

So much fun here!!! I highly recommend this resort Family friendly!!! I’ve gone to family resorts and the people working aren’t family friendly This resort definitely provided great customer service

The water park is so much fun! Our day passed by so fastI saw some reviews and I was slightly nervous, but I have to say this place was wonderful!

Jordan P.

We went up to the hotel for a midweek getaway and everything worked out nicely We were easily able to check in Our room was ready to go and clean

A couple knocks I have with the rooms are that there are no freezers in the fridges and the window shades get pretty bright when that summer sunrise rolls in early Breakfast is not included but if you fit the bill, it’s a nice buffet to start the day The water park was a lot of fun with very good lifeguards Because it was the middle of the week, it didn’t seem too packed in regards to people Everything in the pool seemed clean Overall, it was a fun stay and I would recommend it to others!

My wife and I stayed here and had the king suite in room 228 on 8/12/22-8/14/22 We checked on that Friday 8/12 and went out on the town Upon our return, we got ready for bed, only to notice crunched up chips all over our sheets in our bed

I went down to the front desk and was given a whole set of new sheets my wife and I put on ourselves Omar, the gentleman working took note of our issue and stated we had to call back on Monday and speak with the managerI called back and spoke with Rose, the manager, and she said all she could offer was a $30 discount I explained I did not think that was reasonable that I paid $500 for a 2 night stay in which I had to change my own sheets, on top of having the icky feeling our room wasn’t even cleaned She was very rude, after asking who else I could speak with She said it was just her and hung up the phone DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

KJ Goldstein

The king jacuzzi suit exceeded my expectations My only complaint was that the room was about 58° when we got there Good thing there was a fireplace! And the direct TV was somehow not connected

We had to jiggle and fiddle with everything, but got it workingHighly recommend staying here for a quick getaway

George

Specifically, wanted to use thehot tub** asked them prior to, and during

that it was in”Proper working order”I went down the first time and I told her it was “cold” and she checked ,and she said it was 93° and by the time I left it was up to 96°degrees”Not acceptable”The room was okay, but the shower/tub drain didn’t work

Brendan Allen

Stayed at this hotel with my entire extended family for a funeral Staff was extremely friendly and courteous and the General Manager Lynne was a great help in helping make arrangements for dinner at the adjoining Machine Shed (which was delicious)The hotel is very clean, and the lobby is beautiful

Very comfortable beds and large bathrooms is a plus The pool area is incredibly spacious and the kids loved itWill definitely be staying here again

Lydia Keskitalo

Clean rooms and great staff, but the floor plan is very odd Many of the rooms look into the pool which itself isn’t bad, but the windows are very thin and the pool doesn’t close until 11:00pm This can be a problem if you are here for business or if you like to get to bed early

However, good prices, clean rooms, and helpful staff makes this hotel a good place to stay in St Paul

Lisa M

Black hole of a room Overall, the hotel was fairly nice, typical Holiday Inn…HOWEVER, our room had absolutely no natural light coming in

We had a window, but it faced a wall Pitch black at all hours Hard to relax, when you have no idea what it’s like outside, or cues that it’s getting late, etc We (spouse and kids) slept terribly as we all kept waking up at various times afraid we’d oversleep (yes, we used an alarm clock), since we had no other cues it was morning Pic was taken before checkout at 9:30 am, just to show how ridiculous it wasWas never informed our room was like that when making booking, or calling in to confirm that day Unable to get new room as hotel was booked No refund as prepaid for best price We’re done with the IHG brand after this

Large room and front desk guys were friendly But the room itself had many dirty areas The sliding door that’s supposed to cover where the bathroom sink is was completely missing! Inside the fridge was dirty

Many sticky spots on the floors No paper cups for coffee, just clear plastic cups for water No laundry bag Only 4 hangars Iron didn’t work correctly (no steam on any setting) Breakfast was awful and the worker in there needs a lesson on customer service At exactly 9 am, instead of asking me and my husband and the other couple who were still eating if there was anything else we needed, she just rudely shut the door to the area where the food was! She also did not refill multiple items that were missing or empty I poured myself a bowl of cereal and then found out that both milks were empty, she didn’t refill the coffee, there was nothing in the mini fridge, no apple juice Etc The person in the room next to us was making noise for hours at night I couldn’t get to sleep until almost 4 am and then I ended up oversleeping The only thing that helped was turning the fan on so it was constantly on and my husband and I both woke up with sore throats The room had a bad smell of smoke mixed with an unclean AC There is no way to open windows here After checking out we noticed a man in a parking lot cleaning his ears and then throwing the Q-tips on the ground! Absolutely disgusting Also, when we checked out the front desk gentleman told us to have a good day but he never asked how our stay was

Cherise Fillinger

Although the hotel was recently remodeled and looked nice there seemed to be some deeper issues The elevators were slow and noisy and didn’t seem to run wellWe had dozens of ants in our room

The ants were in our bathroom as well as on the dresser in the main room The room also did not include a hair dry and a burnt out light bulb in the the bed side table (We did not complain until checkout as we arrived late and were gone all day We noticed the ants when we got back but we leaving early the next morning)When we mentioned the ants and light bulb to the front desk staff at check out they didn’t take note of our room number It was clear they either knew about the ant problem in the hotel or didn’t care they have an ant problem We did not ask for or expect any compensation and were only interested in seeing they cared about the issues This is not a cheap hotel and I expected much better at this price point

I am a Hilton Honors member and made a reservation at this location for one night being in town for work I had stayed here multiple times before because of its location and I liked the rooms I was asked to show the card I planned on using to pay for the room(the same card I used to make the reservation) and was told that they could not accept it

I explained to the gentleman at the front counter that it was a business card that I use while traveling and have used it at this location before as recently as the week before He said that was irrelevant and he couldn’t do anything to help I was quite furious when I left Especially because it was 1030 at night and I was exhausted I got to my vehicle, cancelled my reservation and made another one at the Hampton Inn 5 minutes down the road and didn’t have any issues paying with the same card that was turned down earlierI don’t ever plan on recommending this location to anyone nor do I plan on staying here againThank you

Kacey Hammer

Rooms and public spaces were clean, which is rare these days Housekeepers said hi when they saw us in the hallways, which is niceFront desk staff wasn’t very friendly and they forgot to fulfill our request a few times

Elevator was very slow the last day When we asked about it, the front desk was obviously irritated that they had to answer about the slow elevatorPool is indoors but well maintained and clean with towels at the ready

We decided to spend our anniversary here as this is where we spent our honeymoon 5 years ago and still love it! The staff are very nice, it’s always clean, pool is nice and is 3-5 feet so not very deep but enough to swim laps or just lounge in The price seems reasonable to us, as we paid $163 for our suite for the night It’s nice to have the roof top restaurant attached! We always get the suites with the hot tub that has a fire place, king bed, stand up shower, and lots of towels

We would highly recommend them and will be going back again

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions The times before were good This time the hotel was wild and quite the party atmosphere

It was so loud outside our rooms until after midnight Definitely do not stay on the ground floor if you are wanting to sleep at any point The other room we had on the second floor wasn’t much better We understand people having a good time but this was outrageous When management was asked about it, he politely replied there wasn’t anything that could be done and the bar stayed open until 2AM This will be our last stay at this facility

Shayne E

We were in town for some concrete pump training and stayed at this facility Nicest Best Western I have ever stayed The owner would personally greet us at dinner to make sure we were enjoying our stay

The restaurant bar inside the hotel was lively and had incredible food Try the prime rib it was delicious! We had a large group and our server, who I believe was Eddie, was very attentive and kept the drinks flowing This is why I can’t remember his name for sure! Great stay

From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing The front desk was manned by true professionals that cared about their clients 100%They were so helpful, friendly and accommodating

The 4 us girls traveled up from Nebraska for 5 days to attend a concert in St Paul for my niece’s birthday and even though we only ended up staying 3 days (the concert got cancelled at the last minute so we came home a couple days early) it was worth every penny and then some The parking at the hotel was a breeze in a very busy, quaint, beautiful town The location cannot be beat as can walk to everything easily Our room (308) was absolutely gorgeous with a balcony overlooking Main St With a river view It was beautifully appointed as a 1 bedroom suite They brought us a mini fridge and a rollaway bed and the couch was also very comfortable Plenty of room for the 4 of us They had numerous outside sitting areas, a fire pit courtyard as well as a rooftop deck with a fire pit and large hot tub as well We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone

Alyssa Goldschmidt

Pros: Rooftop hot tub was amazing The hotel Is located In a perfect place Everything Is walking distance

Staff/customer service was friendly & easy to call when we needed somethingCons: No fridge or Microwave(which we thought was odd), but just giving a heads up for future visitors, because we brought cold food & ended up having to toss It Lastly, the bed & pillows were terrible Other then that, great stay Fire pits & hot tub were awesome on these last couple cold nights!

Leslie Hollerud

I stayed here for one night with a friend on a free night because she previously had a problem In the dead of winter there was no hot water The hotel was attractive in the public spaces

The rooms had no closet, no fridge, no microwave and no iron We tried to eat there My water arrived warm on a really hot and humid day and the glass had a big smear of lipstick and a red dot that I was hoping wasn’t blood The server didn’t even apologize He just said I will get you another We ordered Red Snapper and when it came I tried to cut it in half to share and my knife wouldn’t even cut through it I’ve never seen a piece of fish that was that rubbery I don’t even know if it was fish The Manager came over and I told her what happened and she laughed and said “I don’t think anyone in the back is bleeding “ referring to the dirty glass With a huge bar and about 1000 bottles of liquor they couldn’t even make blended drinks If we would have paid for the room it would have been $389 a night If they want to charge those prices they really need to step up their customer service skills With all the competition in the area I would think they would be a little more concerned with their reputation Would not stay there again

Stayed in the carriage house for a girls night We loved everything about our stay The hosts were fabulous

They were so warm and welcoming and really made sure we felt welcome and at home The main house is gorgeous and charming The carriage house is off the main house and oh my goodness I could just live here The huge jetted tub is to die for The breakfast and coffee was absolutely fantastic and so much food we couldn’t finish although we sure did our best to try I cannot wait to come again

Jonathan Barcus

Very lovely B&B Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable It was our 32nd wedding anniversary and the 2nd time we stayed here

Enjoyed the vouchers to the breakfast at Lowel Inn a few blocks away vs having breakfast at a set time They made up ours to go which was perfect as my wife has some disabilities that make it hard to get around There wasn’t any contact with the owners, just instructions on what to do for your stay

Mark Eliason

Terrific inn and room The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in The spacious hot tub is fantastic

Breakfast was superb (and plenty of it!) and they did a great job of accommodating my diet needs Rachelle is very personable and makes the whole stay very pleasant On-site, off-street parking is a bonus Easily walkable to downtown for shopping, bars, restaurants but we would highly suggest the short, 3-block walk to Pioneer Park for a picnic dinner overlooking the river Ideal! We highly recommend

Convenient location to places we visited over the course of 4 daysBreakfast was less than ideal, but we managed and used it to hold everyone over until brunch The website stated that we would have 2 queen beds, but one of them was a full size bed

When we needed extra items, they were extremely helpful with bringing the items up to our room

Kristi Ferguson

I am not impressed with the staff at all Especially the cleaning staff It’s also entirely too hot throughout the hotel

The faucet in my room broke right away I asked for a clean bed blanket and was told they only had exact amount for each room, so I drove from Roseville to my storage in East Bethel for a blanketI have counted 2 to 3 days where the garbage sits in the hallwaysI’ve also had to call downstairs and was very upset because Housekeeping tried to enter my room without my permission, request or call They never knocked, or announced anythingIt’s bad enough for myself and my family that we have to be here long-term, and now it’s just very depressing

Tom Lennon (HVS Leak Detection)

Front door locked Nobody answered front desk phone to check in Came back an hour later to check in Breakfast was very poor

Out of eggs no meat was served scooped up last bowl of oatmeal Person serving breakfast working at an infuriating slow pace Does not affect me but heard others complain of no coffee Many other hotels in the area Choose another I will

No television remote in the room the first night but the front desk staff handled it quickly the next morning My wife asked for more coffee cups the second night but they were never delivered Club access was available however the espresso machine did not operate, and the meals were available thru a voucher downstairs in the market

Pool was small but nice we were hoping for a hot tub to relax in after spending the day at Mall of America We were happy with the proximity to the mall

Michael Moses

Nice digs for an airport stopover Right on the train line so don’t even worry about taking a shuttle, and technically you could just take the train into the city and not need a car at allSeems fairly new

A bit noisy in the hallways from guest room doors opening and closingCould use a bigger lobbyRooms felt modern and typical of a Hyatt Regency

Top notch hotel Staff was extremely nice Room was equipped with Stove top, refrigerator, dishwasher, real silverware, dinnerware and glasses

Room was very clean Beds were extremely comfortable Had a shower to die for We had access to amenities at no extra charge Provided a very healthy breakfast, fresh fruit, yogart, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, etc Highly recommend staying there

Alix del Toro

First, when we were asked about the quality of our stay by the gentleman checking us out, the concierge (blonde lady) next to him scolded us when we simply asked a question A few other things disappointed us There was a pool of blood in the pool room

My wife kindly let the concierge desk know about it In the 30 minutes we were in the pool area it was never cleaned Then, on the Sunday morning, we came down for breakfast and there were 25 airport cargo employees who came in off their shift and wiped out the breakfast buffet And they were rude I get it They were staying at the hotel too But the hotel was aware of their schedule and did not plan for it It would be like a restaurant taking a reservation for a large party and not preparing a head of time thus disrupting their service availability to the other patrons No restaurant would do that out of fear of alienating the other patrons And that is what happened Other guests, who like ourselves were enjoying a vacation at a nicer hotel, were thrust into what felt like a workplace cafeteria It ruined our experience And from the comments we heard of the very shocked other guests, it ruined their experience too

Pat Simmons

Great new hotel right across the street from Mall of America A fantastic restaurant 100 feet away named Hazelwood Food and Drink Rooms are spacious and are made for long stays with kitchens and refrigerators

On site lounge and grab and go breakfast Only draw back is being close to the airport, the takeoffs and landings can get a tad loud at night and the morning

We stayed here at the end of March for a spring break getaway The outside of the hotel was clean and well-maintained Olin, welcomed us and was extremely friendly and helped us check in

The hotel had hand sanitizers in numerous locations The pool area was very large and clean They did not have a clock or restroom in the pool area you did have to go down the hall They had a basketball hoop outside as well as a large fire pit and chairs The continental breakfast was excellent The lady was extremely friendly and made you feel at home They had hot foods as well as those to just grab and go The inside of the hotel was very clean well-maintained cozy they had fireplaces in the main area We had a one bedroom studio which was very nice and clean Location wise it was perfect! Restaurants, shopping etc all close by We definitely plan to go back!

Very poor management and customer service Mother-in-Law made a reservation the 1st of April for my daughters graduation Gets a call a day before they fly up to tell them they have been moved because they overbooked

I am a Lifetime Titanium Elite Marriott member and was put off by this After talking to the hotel and explaining they booked because of having the mini kitchen they said they would try to find them a room and honor their reservation About 2:30 I get a call they are good to stay, next day at 11:00 AM (as they are arriving at the airport) they are now not staying and booked at a Hampton! Talking to the staff they can’t give me an explanation of how someone gets booted but people who booked after are still there The hotel is not 100% occupied by Marriott rewards members so they just talked in circles I am sure she booked so far in advance the rate was cheaper so they kicked them out to get a higher rate since it graduation for several local schools Here is a hot tip, have 160 rooms then you don’t take more reservations than that

We have stayed here a few times and this last visit was quite disappointing Drove 12 hours and were anxious to get our room and order food after a long day to then wait 30 minutes to get our room keys Not even acknowledged by the fellow at the front desk

He was waiting on another guest, but not even a hello I had waited all day for the mobile key to come through, but supposedly “it hasn’t been working for weeks” Having a mobile key would have started us off on a much better foot from the beginningPlatinum Elite and yet no upgrade, this is not a huge deal, but no mention of it and a mostly empty hotel And the kicker is a $100 pet fee for 1 small dog staying for approximately 10 hours I appreciate pet friendly spaces, but that fee seems a bit steep for a one night stay

I spent about a month in the hotel on business The staff and housekeeping services are pretty solid I was able to get my room reliably cleaned every week and get a paper from downstairs on the local news

Coffee is available 24 hours, its pretty decent The room had awesome heating, plenty of space and a comfortable bed The gym has a few treadmills, a bike and elliptical and a dumbbell set, yoga mats – all you need to get a good work out inThe hotel does an evening social once a week where they’ve got free beer and snacks which is cool and encouraging I haven’t come across many places that do this but its a great way to network and interact with people especially in times of COVIDThe biggest complaints would be the inconsistently of the room keys, if you can get the app – use it because you’ll find yourself losing the ability to go into the gym, laundry room, pool or even your own room at the drop of a dime The breakfast is edible as long as you stay away from the powdered eggs

Solid choice for north suburban stays They do one weird thing though , I’ve observed it during every stay in 2022, which is that between 0715 and 1000 each day but especially on weekends, they’ll entirely clean the lobby bathrooms, tiles in front of bathrooms, and even tile floors of first floor exit areas with really slick floor detergent But this is exactly the time of highest foot traffic in all these areas

I’ve witnessed grandmas nearly spill their breakfast coffee trying to maneuver into and out of those bathrooms because it’s like ice I thought it was because staff to do this only worked mornings, but that turns out not to be the case, the same individual creating local slip & slides is still working at 1530 Clean up of these areas should really occur only after 10:30 or so, it isn’t safe unless you’re barefoot and even then I doubt it

Friendly, helpful staff (thank you Shay for the great service and caring smile) Valet and shuttle driver were extra perks! Hot breakfast provided a variety of options (son is gluten free) but odd no brown sugar for the oatmeal Classy yet cozy room with well supplied kitchen

Best of all, first time we’ve stayed in the Twin Cities without waking to sirens or traffic noise (Several were deployed, too)

Stayed here 4 nights with my wife and kids Started with the air conditioner not working in the room We notified them multiple times they gave us a fan

Average room temp was 75-80 degrees Didn’t want to make a big deal because the said the we fixing it By yesterday we’re like pack all our kids up and goto another hotel? We just toughed it out The only good thing about this place is the pool Breakfast was sub par Good thing hopes is next door I mentioned again about the room air and their reply “Said did we tell them” Unreal! You gave me the fan So she comped us the valet parking We didn’t even use valet parking but one night because when we got back the place was surrounded by police cars Been here before a year ago and it is definitely not the same Hit or miss here

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 months while we worked in St Paul The staff here are amazing

The hotel was well kept and well run Extra mention for Shay who made sure we had a room that was in a good location for working night shift and Luke who brush our car off when we didn’t have a snow brush and had a flight to catch the next day I cannot say enough about all of the wonderful people who made our stay amazing I wish I could give this a rating higher than 5 stars Thank you to everyone for going above and beyond – kitchen staff, housekeeping and maintenance, we are so grateful!

We had a large group stay at Celeste over the weekend The Celeste staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful! The bar staff were very accommodating, the included breakfast in the Chapel Room was perfectly delicious with plenty of choices to meet all dietary needs The rooms were amazing! Our view of the state capital out one window and the old church out the other was second to none

We will definitely stay at this beautiful hotel again! Thank you!

Pros – The rooms were clean and cozy Loved the historical character that has come from the redevelopment to a hotel It is in a great location – many restaurants within a 10 minute walk, the train is right next to it, and close to the river

Booked my room online and reception was a breeze Super friendly staff as wellCons – You must climb a flight of stairs to enter through the front entrance to get to reception There is a side entrance that is a bit more accessible – just further from reception There is minimal parking in the front of the hotel for checking in Paid parking is offered down the street

Dany Stoufer

My wife and I stayed in the Celeste Suite for our anniversary and were very pleased with our stay This room had tall ceilings and windows with black out shades I loved the blue color and the architecture

Breakfast was really good as well! The building is right next to the metro train and I could hear it late at night and early in the morning; however we did have a great stay and we will stay again if we’re in the area I also did not feel like you need to religious to stay here just because it was a convent before

Hotel is very dated The breakfast is hit or miss – day one was meat, potatoes and eggs Day two was potatoes and eggs

Day three was potatoes, french toast, and eggs Day four was cold breakfast for $9 Day five was a full spread I watched someone try to check in at 6PM and get told their room was not ready yet because housekeeping was short staffed Check in is at 3! It was comfortable enough but I will definitely try a different hotel when in the area again

I stayed here almost a month So got a really good feel for how things a run at this location I’ve stayed at several Hilton properties

This one may be the absolute worst one I asked several times for my sheets to be changed, that only happen once during my 26 day stay They never once vacuumed the carpeting in my room Also you can forget about the bar and restaurant It’s almost never open The staff is very friendly but they are working under a manager that is inept I’ll be staying at the Marriott next week

The lobby is nice Valet parking was convenient The morning we left, there were dozens of other people leaving too and waiting for valet

The desk staff and valet people were really hustling and did a good job getting lots of cars quicklyThe room was not great There was no mattress pad on the bedjust a fitted sheet directly on the mattress The room was not cleaned well There was dried mascara on the sink leftover from a previous guest The door handles and high touch surfaces had residue and marks showing that they clearly take no time to wipe down or properly clean such areas The shower was not cleanTheir saving grace is that they are right across the street from the excel center, which is convenient for attending events However, it may be worth it to stay elsewhere in a cleaner room and take an Uber or pay for event parking instead!

We were in town for a difficult family trip (saying goodbye to a loved one), so for us, this place was a haven of much-needed rest It’s been recently remodeled and has a new feel, even though you can tell by the ceilings that the building has old bones The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast room packed but kept up with, and most memorable were the staff, who were kind and helpful

The only thing I wish I would have known about beforehand was that there was a parking lot *right* behind the hotel, which could have saved us the $35 valet fee (though the valet guys were great) We literally walked into our room, opened the windows, and looked down onto the park-and-pay parking lot It would have been a short walk up a hill and around a corner with our suitcases, definitely worth the $35 plus tips! Oh well! If we’d been having a sight-seeing trip, it would have been a perfect location for downtown events and the riverwalk Another time, perhaps!

Tara Miller

We went to a Minnesota Wild game, and love the convenience and location of the hotel to the Xcel Energy You are given valet parking, so you don’t have to find a spot to park and pricing is reasonable They have breakfast in the morning from 6 to 10 am

we have stayed there a few times for games and all the experiences have been good Would reccommend
