First, the staff was personable, intelligent and well spoken The king suite was spacious, clean and attractive The hotel Interiors were well appointed and visually appealing

I’m an interior designer so I notice that kind of thing! The complimentary breakfast was much better than average And last, it’s location is convenient for downtown restaurants, bars and shops We’ll be back for sure

Mellissa Hansen

Staff are excellent! I’m so happy I stayed here Traveled by myself for a business conference and as soon as I arrived in town construction started the next day Hotel has free transportation that could get me to the university for my conference even to the right door!! I was so worried about finding the right location and then construction and I didn’t want to be late

The staff certainly saved me! I was at my conference daily and on time! By the end of my trip I knew them all by name and I felt right at home! Vince gave excellent food recommendations! Nick, Liz, and the gentleman going to AZ, thank you all for being so wonderful to me! I will definitely come back here! Clean hotel Excellent breakfast options Housekeeping was excellent too!!

Elizabeth Knox

Hampton Inn is one of my favorite places to stay The hotel is always clean, has a friendly staff and the most excellent breakfast almost as good as a B&B My only concern is for mostly all hotels and that is the beds are rarely as comfortable as mine at home

As the saying goes, there is no place like home, but at least at Hampton Inn, I know I will have a good meal, fresh fruit and coffee and a clean environment with kind people who care about my stay PS please put memory foam toppers on your beds, then I will always pick the Hilton

We rented out the Lumber Baron Inn for our wedding party! Most of our party was couples and each person got their own room It was amazing! They let everyone check in by noon and wrote our names in a post it note on the doors so we knew where they were They let us pay for it all in advance so we didn’t have to worry about it the morning after! They also left the door unlocked so we could get in after a late night

The stay itself was amazing and the beds were very comfortable We had a great time in the jacuzzi tub and the view was so beautiful The morning breakfast was worth the price of the room stay alone! It was so amazing and the couple were really sweet! Through the booking progress they asked all about the wedding and how it was all going as their granddaughter was also getting married soon too! Such an amazing place and we can’t wait to stay there again!

The STAFF goes above and BEYOND! While staying here my rental car battery died I had a doctor appointment we flew into town for in 20 minutes and I asked for help Toni the front receptionist was so kind, jumped into action, she got me a ride from Dan the main person (also very friendly) and my daughter and I got to our appointment! while we were there at our appointment (Spencer another staff member) jumped and moved my rental car to the back lot and recharged my battery! They also told us to call for a ride back to the hotel once the appointment was over and we did! Dan picked us up and gave us a ride back!! i can’t even believe the kindness of the staff at this location! Truly saved the day and what a blessing! My daughter and I loved the themed hotel, decor, pool and arcade area! We had a blast while staying here

The coffee was good, the breakfast was yummy and for the price it was worth every penny! The rooms were clean, cozy and comfortable We’ve stayed in many hotels but never had such a warm and welcoming experience 10/10!!!Thank you Toni, Dan and Spencer for being so kind and such blessings to us today!

Amazing hotel Staff was very welcoming and friendly Hot tub and pool where clean and they provided towels for us to use at the pool

Indoor outdoor connection pool was fun for the kids Breakfast was wonderful and they kept everything full Rooms are good sized and clean My family included a teen and a 3 year old and both had a fun time The hotel it self was clean and the decor was wonderful They have a rustic decor style I would most definitely stay there again

Kelsea Peterson

I really like this hotel I picked this hotel for a family reunion and the hotel staff were very accommodating There were 13 of us and we were able to hang out in the lobby seating that they have there

There were also other random seating around the hotel The pool was down, but they did let me know in advance and they had an alternative pool that we could use The rooms were very clean We didn’t have room service as it wasn’t neededMy only complaint would be that I didn’t love the layout of the rooms, but nothing can be done about that I just prefer the sink to be on the outside of the bathroom There was a fridge and a microwave in the room They also only put 2 towels in the 2 queen bed room and I thought that was odd, but all we had to do was ask the front desk for another one You will also hear people in the hallways So if you hate that then don’t stay here I couldn’t hear anything from the rooms next door, only noises coming from the hallway

This place was great! It’s very clean and modern The hot breakfast offered waffles, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy one day, then eggs, sausage, hash browns the next There was also cereal, breads, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice and soda

The staff was friendly and available With three boys the great food and the 24/7 complimentary beverages were a really nice treat!

Carla Kron

I had some appointments one morning We live fairly far away So we decided to stay here

I have mobility issues currently They have a shuttle that is underground, and it will take you to anywhere in the facility Just ask and you have it The rooms were clean, comfortable and laid out well I did not expect that we would have such a nice room for the price, and that was great! The breakfast tasted good, the area was kept clean, and every employee was really friendly We will be back!

Rena Diem

We haven’t made it there yet

but the customer service up front has been stellar! Bringing a group to town for an event soon Heather has been pleasant, helpful and accommodating the whole way Worked a little with Rachel also, who was also helpful and pleasant Looking forward to the event and have no worries about the accommodations planned! (Which is a blessing in itself!)

What an amazing place! Newly remodeled rooms with custom designs and different room themes Pay close attention when booking rooms online to the different room themes and decorations So clean and cozy

Excellent shower and a bed I did not want to get out of Felt like home Amazing staff and awesome customer service Added bonus…a great little small town with something to do for everyone Highly recommend!!!

Barb Boyd

If you want a very clean and well appointed room, this is the place for you There are no cookie cutter rooms here like the major hotels have Rooms are newly remodeled with balconies facing the Mississippi River

We were fortunate to be there when the neighboring establishment was sponsoring a band Sitting on our balcony on a beautiful summer evening listening to music was delightful The owners are friendly and take pride in their Inn

Katarina Frank

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn on the River We stayed in room 23 The room was recently renovated with an Italian theme

The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was wonderful We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the boats and trains The inn is located within sight of Lock and Dam #6 Unfortunately, we did not get to see a boat use the Lock and Dam while we were there We noticed the owners were kind enough to put ear plugs in the nightstand in case you needed them for the trains, but we thought the air conditioner was loud enough to block out the train noise Although no breakfast is included with the stay, there is a great breakfast restaurant not too far away from the inn We wished we had booked more than one night and would love to come back to stay again

Spurgeon Dunbar

Staff was extremely kind and helpful The room was clean and new with comfortable beds and a big bright bathroom There was a diner right on the same lot and the food there was good

The free breakfast in the morning was much more than I was expecting Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels, etc and it was all very good!Would very much recommend for all you wary travels out there Stopped on my way through town

beck kay

A big shout out to Ken who cleaned our room before we arrived It smelled so fresh and clean when we opened the door and the room was wonderful The breakfast was lovely, and there were so many options to choose from

The pool and hot tub were also nice and my dad ended up winning some money off one of the slots in the lobby 😂 All around a fantastic trip

Kayla Bartels-Merkel

The walls are super thin The room smelled a little like mildew and dog that was covered by an air freshenerThe bed was comfy, i actually slept very well

We did not attend breakfast due to allergies, and we did not go to the pool, so I don’t know much about that The mini fridge worked well enough The surfaces were very clean in the room, which is especially appreciated during a pandemic the shower worked wellThe wifi is unsecured, so I wouldn’t stay here for business, or do any important things while connected to itThe hotel is located in a decent area for travelling You can hop on and off the interstate very easily It’s a short drive to the coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores south of the area There’s not much to walk to in the direct vicinity, but there’s a restaurant next doorThe staff we interacted with were very nice, but clearly they were understaffed My spouse and i were misgendered, so that was a bummer, but it didn’t seem malicious the employee was clearly frazzled by doing so many different tasks at once, working the front desk and doing housekeeping and probably moreOverall a decent stay There are many options of accommodations in the area, but this was a good choice for us, as far as location and price, as a pit stop for the night on the way to a funeral I wouldn’t necessarily seek out this hotel if i was in the area again, but i also wouldn’t actively avoid it

Dawson Freiberg

Great location in downtown La Crosse Plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, etc within walking distance

Attached parking garage provides ample parking space It was clean and smelled good The employees were friendly and accommodating They don’t have breakfast, but that isn’t much of a problem given the restaurants in the area I wish the bar area next to the lobby had been open, mainly because the shiny lights on the slot machines tempted me every time I walked by

Rich Panowitz

Had a last minute change in plans and came to LA Crosse for one night I parked in the garage and walked in I asked the front desk if they had a room for one night

They said, Sorry they were booked I went back to my car in the garage and looked up available hotels in the area with my IGH app This location came up I booked the room and walked back in When I asked why they told me they were booked full not more than 10 minutes earlier, the guy blamed their system The lady that checked me in was polite and helpful Explained how to get free parking in the garage – Rooms were okay Seemed a little out of date Location was perfect and close to several places to eat – Bed was comfortable and room was neat Did have a bit of a musty order when I first got there Person coffee maker was broken in the room and didn’t see the general coffee usually found in the lobby area No breakfast

Raven Vaccaro

I called ahead to make sure amenities were open and was told they were Everything was

Except breakfast! The night manager, Tom, was amazing and issued a partial refund since I had been told there would be breakfastHowever the pool was awesome and clean, the hot tub was hot, bubbly and amazingly spacious The room was very clean, ( although there was no channel list or list of nearby restaurants and attractions)The mattresses were super thick and fluffyI get that during the pandemic breakfast was a hassle and probably wasted money but it’s time to bring it back, ownersThe manager was as I nice and so helpful it more than made up for the few shortcomingsFast wifi, lotsa cable channels Coffee hair dryer and iron in roomWe had a wonderful stay Thank you!!!!!

A R

The room was nice & the pullout couch was comfy for our 11 year old Only recommendation would be to have sheets & blankets for it in the room or readily available Luckily we were staying up late but if we were wanting to go to bed early it would have been an issue as they weren’t ready from the dryer until close to 11pm

The room was quiet and clean Breakfast was good Pool and hot tub were nice We would definitely stay here if staying in Onalaska again!

Daniel and Veronica Hill

This is one of the best hotels I have visited Clean and new My kids loved the pool

Large, well designed rooms Room darkening shades on the windows that actually block out the light And a super impressive breakfast We have some food allergies and there was something for all of us – gluten free muffins, almond milk for cereal We frequently travel to this area for family functions and this is going to be our go to hotel in the area

Danielle McCormick

Beautiful, clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable We really enjoyed our stay and we’re tempted to stay another night Staff were very friendly, check in was easy

We had two Queen beds and a pull out couch and it’s rare to have so much space for a family! Pool area was really nice – the hot tub was lovely too although a bit hotter would be nice Breakfast was good, although options seemed a bit limited Also why do hotel breakfasts never include hashbrowns? 🤣 We will definitely be back!

I have a special needs son, and the staff are so kind and welcoming They always go out of their way to be friendly and attentive The location by the parks and gardens on the river, with walking trails and historic buildings surrounding it, is stunning

A quiet private road nuzzled into the center of this gorgeous town, is amazing It’s for families and business people and travelers and nature lovers So many dining options, even different cool bars You can see concerts and events and walk peacefully back to your quiet Hotel Paddle boats and fishing It’s gorgeous

The Accountant’s Office

Room reserved for a couple of 75 year old ladies who are friends but can’t sleep in the same open room together The fact that they had a handicap shower, nice kitchenette, and 2 separate bedrooms with closing doors was exactly what we had searched the area for 4 hours to find Extremely reasonable rates for the stay

We told the front desk that they are probably the best kept secret in La Crosse and will definitely use them again when we have out of town family arriving for gatherings

Jason Bott

Great location, continental breakfast was typical Room was cleanBut, the air-conditioning in the room did not work (was offered fans in place of AC), the shower drain was clogged and the drain plug didn’t stay open, there were no pool towels, and only one small bar of soap to be used for your hands and in the shower

Too much money to spend on a place that doesn’t seem to care about the details

Opaque Fate

Overall a very good choice if you need a place to stay Good value for the money Would consider staying here again

Pros: 1 Excellent continental breakfast- one of the best i have had 2 Excellent front desk service on check inCons: 1 The pool heater was broken so the water was too cold to swim in This was a big disappointment as our biggest consideration in choosing a hotel was it having a pool 2 The hot water in the shower was very erratic The temperature would change from too hot to too cold without touching the knobIf I had the choice I would give a 4-1/2 star rating but since I can’t I will just give 4 stars as it would be a disservice to the true 5 star hotels to give the Fairfield the same rating

Debbie Chandler

I really like the Marriott hotels and I am an active member It was the first time that I was not acknowledged as a member when checking in Also, the staff was all very messy and lazy

We had no coffee in our room except for decaf and the lobby was also out of coffee when we went for breakfast Speaking of breakfast, I would not recommend it Super bad!!!The downtown location is nice because you can walk to several different venuesI will not be staying at this particular hotel again

Peter Stemmeler

I travel a lot for work and stay at various Marriott chains and this is by far one of the nicest Fairfield inns I have stayed in With it being newer that is to be expected and it didn’t disappoint I had a king suite which I didn’t even was an option at Fairfield Inn

The added space was nice for being able to do work in my room I definitely would prefer to stay here over the courtyard which is right on the river but more dated

I can’t say enough good things about our stay here We had the family package (both rooms on the first floor), which was the perfect setup for us and our two kids The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the common areas had absolutely everything we could need during our stay

The breakfast was delicious, and even our picky kids found plenty to eat We got to help with milking, feeding the baby goats, and collecting eggs – SO much fun! Donna and Cindy are wonderful hosts Our kids are already saying they want to go back!

Kim Larson

My husband and I had a GREAT time at Rainbow Ridge B&B! We wanted to get away and try something new We got to help with milking the goats- which was so much fun The baby goats are adorable and so hilarious- and we even got to bottle feed a few! It’s so peaceful and calming to be around all of the farm animals (who co-exist in the same pens with no issues! [goats, llama, donkey, chickens, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats])

Our host, Donna, was very friendly and taught us so much We can’t wait to go back and bring our kids!

What a wonderful experience!Billy and Brandon keep a beautiful home; though large and eloquent, it’s also very warm and inviting We mostly holed up in our room or ventured downtown, but we did explore the first floor sitting rooms (and were lucky enough to get some time with one of the pups) and enjoyed some tea and a puzzle in the card room We also poked our noses into the other rooms (we were the only guests at the time) and all of them are lovely

Plush carpets, hardwood, fluffy beds, bathrobes, a real first-class experience! The breakfasts were also exceptional I’ve included a picture of the opening course of our first day’s meal; this was followed by an egg-scramble-filled acorn squash with a side salad, and an incredible cinnamon scone We don’t normally eat such a large breakfast, but it was too good to let a single bite go to wasteWe’re hoping to make this a traditional get-away spot for ourselves, as we had such a lovely time I would definitely recommend this spot to others

Stephanie Bailey

Absolutely the best place to stay in the area Everything was top-notch: the service, room and breakfast I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast before, but it was a really amazing experience

The host was very friendly and accommodating They offer a lot of special touches like leaving little treats in your room every day and daily cleaning in addition to optional extras like breakfast delivery to your room I’ve stayed in a lot of 5-star hotels and Castle La Crosse was way better than literally ANYWHERE I have ever stayed before If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back here It was an unforgettable and magical experience that is perfect for a romantic getaway for couples

sketch erz

Billy and Brandon’s beautiful castle in the heart of La Crosse is a gem They are both extremely amiable and accommodating Once you enter the castle, you enter into another world, in its ensemble it’s impossible to feel anywhere but at home

My girlfriend and I spent her birthday weekend here and there is no doubt that this is the place to bring your significant other if you want them to feel like a prince/princess As if the location and hosts aren’t enough to convince, Brandon cooks a delicious breakfast presentation, delicacy, savory and sweet, light but filling All the products are local and the result is other worldly Finally, ask about the wine of the house It’s perfect if you decide to spend the night inThank you for everything

First time staying at a Home2 Suites and must say, I was very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff (team) was One of the reasons I choose Hilton brands is because of the comfortable beds and this hotel was no exception Great night sleeps, great breakfast selection and friendly, professional staff members

Great job everyone

Pravin Lewis

Rooms are newer and up to date It seemed busy so it felt crammed in the common areas like the lobby It is great for long stays, not so appropriate for shorter business trips

I used the app so had no interaction with staff while checking Hence had no idea of the parking pass or other facilities until my last day The breakfast was not great
