We have been spending 4 nights there, beginning of February Nice large rooms Breakfast bar in the morning with self service

I liked the parking space that is a little more private behind the building, with access through an arch way Walking distance to restaurants and small shops in the area The hotel is pet friendly we had our little furry buddy with us It was very quite not a lot of guests Very friendly staff Can only recommend the place

Outdated and UNFRIENDLY – there are better places to stay in MadisonDo yourself a favor and look elsewhere for decent hotel accommodations in the Madison area The customer service at this hotel is the absolute worst I’ve experienced at any hotel or resort stay The staff seemed like they did not care at all about the guests, the experience, or the hotel

My request for an early arrival was never noted when I called weeks ahead due to my flight arriving earlier than anticipated check-in The agent acted like I was an inconvenience when I arrived early to check-in even though I had called weeks prior Upon check-in, I gave my personal credit card for incidentals and noted that the corporate card on file should be utilizing for room/tax/fees, etc In addition, as someone who has a severe feather/down allergy, I always call prior to my stay to ensure that my room only has hypoallergenic/polyester pillows upon my arrival I did this when I called about the early arrival weeks earlier but apparently this was also not noted I had to open up every single pillow case and cover to find the feather pillows and ensure that they were put to the side Luckily, there were enough polyester pillows to use during my stay Unluckily enough, my hands and face itched the entire evening In addition, daily housekeeping service is not the standard at this hotel and you have to call daily to request Even if you do request, like I did on Sunday evening along with pillow replacements, you do not receive housekeeping service When I called about this miss, I was met with no apology, no solution, and no emotion – just an OK and then a hang up on the phone In addition, when I mentioned the pillows for a 3rd time, an employee entered my room while my DND sign was on the door and delivered one pillow and extra pillowcases My room was in desperate need of a deep clean and my toilet actually came up off the floor and the bathroom tiles were cracked When utilizing the pool on two occasions, I noticed that children of employees were also utilizing the pool as well Once was a young boy who spent about an hour in the hot tuband since I was the only other adult in the pool area with him, I did not feel comfortable utilizing the hot tub myself and kept my distance in the space Upon check-out, my personal credit card was charged for everything when I had previously noted that the corporate card on file should be charged This took almost two days to correct from calling the hotel, then the manager, and then my bank

GREAT VALUE! Plenty of dining, shopping, trails nearby Super clean Great staff

HOWEVER it seems the locals book rooms here just to use the pool & spa and then invite their friends pool parties past midnight, SUPER LOUD, cursing, drinking – staff seemed unaware until I phoned them I could not sleep due to the rowdy shenanigans! I’m not a complainer – but I have never seen this level of rowdy before!

Beautifully remodeled modern style hotel Great service from the staff The room we had was without any windows though

Instead it had a door to the inside pool area While some might find that a preferred convenience, If we did it again, all 5 of us would prefer a window room instead next time Other than that the stay was good The pool here is geared towards small kids only

Joyce Marx

The staff is incredibly nice I didnā€™t get her name, but the girl who checked me in was very sweet and helpful Thank you for a wonderful stay! Iā€™ll definitely stay here again next time Iā€™m in Madison

When we went in to the pool, it was closing in 30 minutes No one has been using the waterside so it had been turned off The lifeguard working turned it back on so my nephew could use it Even though she was closing in 30 minutes she never made us feel rushed and we enjoyed our time in the water park This was the evening of Tuesday March 2 Thank you!

Michele Ashbeck

There were some positive things about our stay, but I feel like the bad outweighed the good Starting with the good; the rooms were very clean and the pool area is great, with wonderful lifeguards Now the bad

When we booked the room we booked a 1st floor poolside room, when we checked in our room was on the second floor Checkout is at 11am, which is fine, but the pool doesn’t open until 9am, and when we were here they didn’t open it until 10 minutes after 9 They also didn’t open the water slide in the morning There isn’t a free continental breakfast, you have to pay $5 per adult and $3 per child Having to pay for breakfast we assumed everything was included, but only milk, water or coffee was included for drinks, no fruit juice We also thought we would get refills on our drinks, especially since we had to pay, but no one came around for refills Overall it seemed like this hotel likes to nickle-and-dime their guests while having subpar service and limited pool time

Comfortable, clean and quiet with awesome staff! After check in we had lovely complimentary evening snack with really quite nice wine and beer options followed by dinner at an excellent restaurant just up the street Looking forward to what looks to be a great breakfast with oatmeal and waffles Had a nice deep bath and about to drift off to sleep in our very comfy bed

Highly recommend!

Derek Blume

Quite disappointed with this place It is right offthe corner of two very busy roads, one an expressway However, the rooms have no sound proofing

It seems the front desk was unwilling to enforce the no-smoking policy Our floor smelled of marijuana both evenings of our stay Pets seem to be allowed, which would be fine except they allowed big dogs and people kept their animals in their room all alone for they day We had constant noise from a large dog in the room above ours all night long The televisions in the room were very out of date The underground parking garage was nice except for the cloud of cigarette smoke in there The pool and workout areas were nice The breakfast was only fair

I would advise seeking an alternative My parents are in their 70ā€™s and my Dad is a double-lung transplant recipient Upon taking a serious turn in his health, he was flown to WI in a medivac plane from KY

My Mom got him situation in ICU and finally made it back to the hotel after 2am She left in the morning with the shuttle and was taken to the hospitalā€¦after returning at about 5pm, she went into the restroom and found someone had been in her room and vomited in the toilet They did not clean up their mess She needed to go to the restroom, so quickly cleaned it and made her way up the long hallway to report the incident They did bring a device down and found someone entered her room at 3:05pm The question was asked if could have been my Mom, my Dad or familyā€¦again, she was alone and took their shuttle to hospital She realized a small birthstone ring was missing from her nightstand (she had all of her other jewelry) and was upset Me being helpless in the situation I asked that she file a complaint with management A person working the desk explained he,ā€was in a bad mood and wouldnā€™t see guestā€ The direction given was to call the police My Mom was in no position to be going through that, and placing any loss to her on her was absurd, especially considering everything she had been through She left the next morning and was shuttled to a new hotel I have sought answers to policy and ask if the person was an employee and do they still work there and have gotten no where Simply getting her ring back would have dissolved the situation The recap from corporate is my Mom was switched roomsā€¦she wasnā€™t She was offered but declined, as she isnā€™t in great shape herself to be moving rooms And that she left in a good mood, trust me when I tell you, that certainly wasnā€™t the case If you are a woman traveling alone, I would never recommend this hotel Also, no one at any level appears to care about your concerns I asked to speak to a Regional Manager to review policy on theft and corporate office bounced my concern right back to the property, promising a call back within 48 hours After 4 days, I responded to the email that I hadnā€™t been able to speak to someone Todayā€™s email had the recap of everything they did to rectify (which was basically nothing), ending their insight to the matter I am not one to write a bad review, but clearly someone at that property isnā€™t opposed to inviting themselves into guest roomsā€¦

Nikki Dill

I arrived late at night, the front desk lady was awake, and was so nice We had the best conversation while i was checking in The decor in the hotel was beautiful, the lobby, elevator, and the hallways were extremely clean for being late at night

Our room was clean, the bed was so comfortable We overslept and unlike a lot of the upscale places we have stayed they were so accommodating by offering us a later check out instead of rushing us to get out of the room Breakfast was good as well The pool and hot tub was amazing Can’t say enough great things about out experience Will definitely stay here again on our next trip

Randall Grady

Very clean place The staff was courteous and professional The pool and hot tub area was clean

We arrived fairly late in the evening and there were only a few towels left poolside I requested a couple extra and planned on taking them back with me The gentleman working the front desk a Asked me to go enjoy the pool and that he would bring them to us right away It wasnā€™t more than a couple minutes and he had them delivered I would definitely stay there again!

Joanne Genevka

I picked this hotel for a single night in Madison for my husband and myself Check in was easy and the people working the desk were friendly! However when we went up to our room someone was already in there So we went back down to get a different room

It wasnā€™t that big of a deal to us, but they(manager and clerk) were apologetic and quickly gave us a different room on the same floor, so we went back upstairs to that room, but that room had been used and hadnā€™t been cleaned, so we trekked back down the elevator to the front desk and told them about the latest room The manager ended up putting us in the biggest room they had(2 king size beds) and also gave us a discount on the room we had originally requested The new room was clean and well litThe beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub and pool were relaxing and clean! Thanks for a great stay!

Good location right next to Alliant Energy Center Room was clean and nice Comfortable beds!! Very functional kitchen with full fridge, two burner hot plate, small dishwasher

The hot breakfast was exceptional Fresh scrambled eggs, homemade hash browned potatoes and two types of sausage Also waffle maker, toast and cereal and good hot coffee Microwave available if needed I would come back just for the hot breakfast!

Steven Hamilton

We were in town for 3 nights for a convention at the Alliant Center The hallway that connects the hotel to the center was very handy Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles, muffins, cereal & etc

They had a pool & exercise room but I didn’t have time to check those outOur room was clean & in good repair Staff was helpful

Isaac Liu

This is a fair hotel for the price- I stayed here to make sure I was within a reimbursement limit The rooms are extremely drab and old but the appliances and amenities are functional- though the shower annoyingly shot a straight jet of water There were no glass, only plastic cups

I hope that they eventually remodel The service for breakfast and the front desk were very good, but my room didn’t seem to be cleaned (towels and bed not changed) for the two nights/three days I was there

Dawn Austin-Richmon

The front desk associate, Indra was very kind when we checked in an when we checked out She provided as much information regarding our stay a possible She was very attentive

Other front desk associates during our stay were not as attentive, they could be found outside having a cigarette or in staff Ron sitting reading or on phone or not at all We had to search for someone in order to get toilet tissue for our room as the amount on the two rolls was pretty much out The windows on right was stuck in open position add the crank seemed stripped and would not close window The sink in bathroom was extremely slow to drain I did inform front desk of these issues and did leave a note in room at check outOverall the room was nice and comfortable Selection of pillows which was very nice The room smelled fresh when we checked in which was very nice Many of neighboring rooms had pets which you could not tell as the rooms are very quiet Will return Thank you MsIndra for your kindness and professionalism

Ashley Booker

It is the staff here that makes my stay an excellent one A lot of my interaction has been with Indra who goes above, and beyond to make you feel welcomed, and comfortable; and does it all with a smile Everyone who works here is very nice

Cynthia always greets me with a smile, a wave; and often has fresh towels waiting before I even before ask for them Travis always says hello, and tells me to have a good day The housekeepers are friendly, and courteous They have a nice hot breakfast every morning The pool, and hot tub are a very nice size! In addition, they have a shuttle service for guests It is also in a nice location Thank you to all the staff for all you do!

Jen Belisle

Was charged $100 for a ā€œcleaning feeā€ without consent or follow up It took three months of calling to contact manager, and he told me ā€œyouā€™re not getting your money back, and donā€™t tell me how to run my businessā€ We are a quiet family of 5 and the room was fine

Itā€™s his word against mine Wouldnā€™t stay there again for not only the fee but for the way I was treated

Lindsay Williams

We were really looking forward to our stay at the Edgewater Hotel, but sadly, we were very disappointed by our stay Even though our multiple visits to their restaurants and bars have always been disappointing (there’s just not many on-the-water options in Madison, which is why we always return to their gorgeous location) due to poor/slow service and extremely high prices for sub-par food and service, we had high hopes for the hotel stay While the hotel is gorgeous, it’s the lack of customer service and attention to detail that disappointed us

We had our Do Not Disturb sign on our door as we were in desperate need of sleeping in At 8AM on a Sunday, a cleaning staff person knocked and walked into our room – even though we had Do Not Disturb sign on the door The front desk was unsympathetic about it Our room service breakfast was terrible for a “luxury” hotel The coffee was so weak it was undrinkable The bagel and packaged cream cheese were fine, but the fruit salad was defrosted frozen fruit The creamer was individual shelf-stable creamers, not real cream in a creamer service Just so disappointing for a $30 breakfast, that should have been free since we were woken up unnecessarily The rooms were nicely appointed, but the bathroom is poorly lit making it difficult to get ready/do make-up, etc There isn’t anywhere to hang towels, either This might seem very nit-picky, but for a $300/night room in Madison, Wisconsin, one would hope to have a more luxurious experience

Collette McDonald

We had a girls spa day The location is gorgeous Some of the treatment rooms overlook the water

Beautifully appointed The only rub for this spa is the lack of silence from the staff when near the relaxation area and treatment rooms Our first impression was the manager taking a cell call as we were getting a tour and the use of outside voices vs spa level communication It would also be a nice feature if spa guest could reserve a table at the boathouse vs having to go to the restaurant to ensure names are on the list Little things that add up

Mary Ashworth

Madison was a new experience for us What a nice city It feels so much safer than Chicago! We actually walked around at night without feeling the need to look over our shoulders

We were at the Edgewater for a business meeting It is a great hotel with a beautiful view The rooms are large, clean and comfortableWe had a nice cocktail reception on the varanda with dinner to follow The bartender was so sweet and the waitstaff was very accommodatingI will say that the lighting in the lovely bathroom is not bright enough to apply makeup Most hotel bathroom are that way these daysKeep up the great work Edgewater!

We use to love going to hotels but it hasnā€™t been very pleasurable the last few years Iā€™m happy to say that wasnā€™t the case on this trip This is the best hotel experience we have ever had! It all started with the staff

They were so polite and welcoming The room, price and location were also perfect I canā€™t say thank you enough Hotels can either make or break a trip and this definitely made it

GREAT location to grocery and other shops, VERY clean rooms, and the STAFF are MOST WELCOMING and HOSPITABLE!! What wonderful staff here – clearly dedicated and precisely who you’d want taking care of you during your travels – thank you both!!I’d also like to give a special thanks to Efraen of the Maintenance Department Had a small issue with my shower head and microwave which was resolved within 5 minutes of my request!! Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and I gotta say I was thoroughly pleased I was greeted right away by the staff at the hotel and my check in was prompt and efficient There were quite a few people staying there but it was quiet the entire time we were there

The lobby was clean and vibrant as was our room I would also like to comment that their Continental breakfast was actually a breakfast with various options Most places these days just offer you coffee and granola bars and thatā€™s it And breakfast was great! One more important thing to note was the location It is a hidden treasure because there are so many options of places to dine at in Monona like Tobyā€™s, Buck and Honeyā€™s, etc And itā€™s right off the expressway For the price I paid for this place and everything that came with it I was very pleased I come into Madison a lot for business and will definitely use this place whenever it is available!

ConvenientĀ 2pm check in and friendly staff upon arrival Rooms are a bit small, you have to finagleĀ the bathroom door because it hits the entry door RoomsĀ were very clean

Ā Ā Pool area was ok, kids didn’t seem to mind We had a large group that reserved the meeting room for the weekend, which was very nice! Breakfast that is included was also nice – had a few shortages the second morning, but that is due to deliveries, and out of their control Would stay here again

Absolutely blown away by the professionalism and care the staff puts into their work! The front desk woman Lindsey is such a sweetheart and is always so kind and helpful, she deserves a raise! Also Jermaine has gone above and beyond to make sure I have felt welcome and comfortable during my stay, the amenities are essentially a furnished apartment and I couldn’t be happier with my room! We stayed for 3 nights Our room was dirty, hair in tub, toys left under the furniture, blood stains on pillow covers on the couch Common areas were never cleaned

Kitchenette was useful but we had no supplies to clean up after ourselves The AC was loud and the bedroom never cooled off There was one packet of coffee in the roomdecaf Very disappointing We will not be back

Justin Kelley

Terrible experience Did not lift a finger when informed that my room wasn’t cleaned properly before I arrived (dirty towels left hanging in the room, dusty/crumby table, some white stains on chair) Rooms were available, but reserved by platinum members (who weren’t arriving that night) and they refused to clean the room or switch my reservation

Staff was clueless and management was either absent or didn’t care Room was finally cleaned 48 hours after I complained a second time At check out they tried to make me pay for the room saying that I was not part of my organizations reservation and refused any reduction in price Couldn’t recommend a worse hotel

Noah Sternig

I honestly wish I could rate this 0 stars, but unfortunately I can’t We had a hotel room reserved weeks before we came and when we arrived, we were told that our room’s air conditioner broke this morning, keep in mind that we arrived at 9 pm When we walked in our room, the carpet damp and squishy and they had no intention of calling us early

They wouldn’t a reduced rate There were no available rooms left and we were forced to try to find a different hotel Overall, a horrible experience

Clean hotel, newly renovated, and management was very helpful We went through a second party booking site and upon check in, there was an issue with the site not sending the code to pay the hotel for our stay The manager was so helpful, and let us check in and go to our outing and called the second party site to resolve the issue

We woke up too late for the breakfast, but it looked like a very good set up of lots of variety in food and clean open dining space There is also an all day coffee/tea counter that was very nice The hotel is also a stop on Middletons free trolley ride that goes from different hotels every 30 min to downtown Middleton Very nice extra features The gym and indoor pool looked very nicely kept up as well Best thing of all, they have a 12 (noon) check out Overall great stay and only 15 min straight drive into downtown Madison

Hotel was very nice and friendly Breakfast was good Rooms were clean other than maybe they top sheep on the bed looked pretty rough

We were able to have pets which is always greatly appreciated My only concern and bummer was that the pool and hot tub were VERY dirty The pool water did not even look like pool water it just looked like dirty water After noticing that I looked at the walls of the pool and they seemed brown and almost moldy looking the hot tub looked even worse than the pool I def stayed out of it and really hope My kiddo stays healthy after it Had I noticed it before he had gotten in and started having fun I wouldn’t have allowed it It would benefit to drain that thing ,scrub up and start fresh Other than that the hotel was very nice

This place is excellent to stay at Monty is a great guest service He reinforced hotel policyā€™s

In this newest stay I was able to experience how Monty had to denied service to some guest because they were in the Do Not Rent list The female of the this couple was very rude and threatened Monty However he stood his ground Like I said he does an amazing job to keep the hotel safe

Wow for the price this place was amazing There was some miscommunication upon check in since we paid through the Hilton website but even with that we were still checked in in under 10 min I get the feeling they get a lot of a holes cause they were super apologetic about the situation

The pool alone makes this place so worth it if you have kids They even provide some pool toys (balls, noodles, squirrels) We didnā€™t try the free breakfast but pretty cool they offered that and we saw tons of people taking advantage in the mornings so it mustā€™ve been good Our room and bed were nice and comfortable It wasnā€™t downtown but everything we did was within like 15 min drive Will definitely stay here on our next trip!

The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the water in the shower was dangerously hot and cold I don’t mean just annoying It took over 5 minutes of letting the water run for it to warm up, and then it went from a good temp, to painfully ice cold, and then the only way to get it off ice cold was to turn high enough that it was dangerously hot – so hot you would honestly get burned, and then turn it way back down again

It was stressful to shower and also shower my kidsAside from that, the pool was great, the breakfast was great, the staff were all friendly, the room was clean, and the price was good

This hotel is a nice choice on the square for anyone visiting Madison We had an excellent view from our window and being steps away from downtown restaurants and the farmerā€™s market was fantastic! The hotel offers free coffee, muffins and fruit in the morning before 9am, which I wasnā€™t aware of before my stay, but itā€™s great Also, the parking is only valet which costs $20/night

They are still using some COVID-specific rules at this hotel, such as not doing housekeeping in the room every day; this is actually my preference so I hope they keep doing it for the future Finally, they were amenable to splitting the room bill between me and my colleague evenly, which made our travel plans easier Overall, I was really happy with this great spot!

Nick Chill

Our Best Western Premier Park stay was great The overall hotel had a very professional feel and welcoming service The valet was very helpful and friendly

Our room was nice, but not huge We also had a small view of brick building walls The shower, on the other hand, was incredible The location was key, as we were across the street from the amazing capitol building We also enjoyed the hotel restaurant, The Post, and loved sitting next to the windows with a view of the capitol

Mixed bag Hotel itself is beautiful, lots of history and the poolside room we had was very nice Minus stars because the pictures of the rooms show nice walk in showers which is not the case

A big deal for those with mobility issues The restaurant is good for breakfast(not included), but skip dinner here, overpriced, mediocre offerings Plenty of nice places within walking distance

The manager was very friendly and helpful The room was super clean and comfortable The pool and hot tub are awesome

Breakfast was good Our room was nice and quiet The manager recommended an excellent restaurant just down the road, ā€œTobyā€™s SupperClubā€ We ate there two nights, it was amazing The hotel was a little off the beaten path, but still close to everything We would definitely stay at this hotel again, and highly recommend it!

The road to it is a bit bumpyThe staff were friendly Kathy at the front desk was exceptional!People complaining about no bathtubs? I would never take a bath in a hotel! šŸ¤® No cash for payment? I don’t know of a hotel that will take it without a credit card for incidentals

I found the room to be very quietThe owner was on site a lot and friendly as wellIf convenient to where I wanted to be I would definitely stay here again

My family and I stayed 1 night for a wedding The hotel allowed us to check in early by 2 hours I called previously that morning and asked if they had baby beds and they informed me that they have pack and plays

I told them I would like to reserve one for our stay and they said they would put it down for our stay When we arrived I let them know about the pack and play and they said they were out and they don’t do reservations on pack and plays Luckily, they had one left that was slightly broken but it worked The room overall was just fine and the beds were comfortable The pool area is great and 8ncludes some water features like basketball hoops and waterfall features, the kids loved itThe one downside is that I called the front desk to reserve a late checkout at noon because our 1 year old was still napping They said that would be fine A few minutes after 11 am, the housekeeping staff knocked once and then keyed into the room and turned on the light, thus ending nap time for our son They also seemed to have turned the room key off at our original checkout time

Overall a great stay! The staff were all excellent! Very convenient to Epic campus for training and the daily shuttle was great! Only slight downside is that the hotel is older and starting to feel a little outdated The carpet in my room had definitely seen it’s better days Also, my room was not the cleanest when I arrived

There were a few pieces of trash in the room (under a chair, beside a nightstand) and the carpet had something sticky on it (in front of the couch) Maybe just a more thorough cleaning between guests would be nice I arrived super late and the issues weren’t big enough to warrant any major attention Just wanted them to be known for future reference

Khoi Nguyen

The hotel seemed to be old and outdated The front desk staffs were friendly but depending on who was working at the time The breakfast in the morning was alright, a little bit above average

The positive thing about this hotel is it provides the shuttle to pick people from and to the airport If you don’t have a rental vehicle, this hotel may not be a good location if you want to do some sight seeing at Madison, WI
