Paul Rolince

The lobby and rooftop were very nice The rest of the hotel we experienced was very dated We had 4 rooms, all about the same quality which was not really an upscale experience for the price

Staff was great Always very accommodating Fernando was one of the front desk staff I encountered while I was there He was the best! Great location to the beach Overall it was a good experience, but will probably stay somewhere else next time

Nicole Hawkins

I wanted to celebrate my birthday on the beach and this was a great place to do it! The rooms themselves need renovation (3 out of 5 stars) but I was only in the room to sleep The restaurants and roof top lounge were wonderful! The staff and service deserve 5 stars The service began with the digital concierge texting me a few days prior to my stay

It was a very helpful service that answered many of my questions with prompt response times Upon arrival and during my stay, the staff where very helpful and accommodating Great location steps away from the beach and plenty to do in the area Would definitely stay again

Well, my visit started off bad as soon as we arrived I had booked through a travel agent a room with 2 double beds for my daughter and I They gave us a room with one king size bed

When I tried to change it the hotel manager said that they didn’t have anything else available at that time but she could probably provide us with a room with a full bed and pull out sofa the next day That was fine As long as they fixed their wrong That never happened Also, per their advertisements, the room was to have a refrigerator and microwave which it did not They were also supposed to provide a continental breakfast which they did not, and please do not believe the pictures they show of the hotel The pool area does is very small and does not have chairs Their are beanbag chairs and they are not white as the pictures show Eventhough the rooftop restaurant is pricey, they have the best food and cocktails ever The wait staff and bartender’s are awesome That is the best part of the hotel Besides the room being wrong, it wasn’t a bad stay You just have to adjust to some things when you weren’t expecting to The staff was super nice and friendly

This place was amazing! Me and my husband went to Puerto Rico for the first time for our honeymoon and decided to stay at this hotel – we just got back about a week ago The customer service was incredible! When we booked, we booked a resort view room to try and save some money, but when we got to the hotel and they realized it was our honeymoon, they upgraded us to a ocean view room – it made our day! The following night they left a bottle of champagne and some dessert for us as a surprise treat with a sweet note They also secured a ride for us back to the airport for the day we left so we didn’t have to worry about it

The most friendly people I’ve ever met! Apart from that, the views were beautiful and the resort had a lot to offer – multiple restaurants, pools, and a casino, along with an enterprise desk right in the hotel in case you want to rent a car for a day I can’t say enough good things about this place We will be going back!

J M

Had a great time Overall an amazing experience Everyone was friendly minus some of the bartenders

Most of the bartenders were great though It’s five o’clock somewhere grill is probably a 1* but, the other outdoor grill is much better Wish there was room service all day long instead of just breakfast and dinnerMaid service was great and they were all friendly and accommodating They are quick to bring you whatever you need Bathrooms were a bit outdated, but the room and bed were greatRoom was very cold when we arrived so that was nice Air conditioning works way better than you can ask for If you go below 70 you will need a jacket or an extra blanket That made it nice for sleeping I A very humid environment We got a great view with a good size balcony

Julie Powers

We were there for a week and it was a great vacation The hotel was beautiful and well kept, very comfortable The pools were amazing especially that they had a separate adult “quiet” pool

The restaurants were excellent, people were very friendly and accommodating There were plenty of restaurants with different food choices and hours of availability Very well run hotel Would definitely return!

The accommodations are incredible, our room spacious and beautifully clean daily, the staff bends over backward to be helpful and friendly The food is very good and our experience at the Hibachi restaurant the other night was delightful

A lot of food so be careful ordering appetizers; you’ll be stuffed😉 The beach is relaxing and the pools are immense! My one concern is wanting to bring more family with us, I did not see any food for kids under the age of 12 ***Please*** create a kids’ menu with those simple things they like; Mac and cheese,a simple burger, chicken nuggets I truly want to have more family there but the lack of kids’ menus is a concern for me Other than that, this resort is top notch in all aspects

Dave B

Stayed here in July 2022 What an incredible resort for this price! The property is beautiful and the enormous pool is one of many highlights The spa service was incredible

The fact that they even have room service (given how the rooms are spread out over multiple acres) is impressive The employees were generally helpful & friendly The only improvements I would suggest are (1) better quality food at the pool, and (2) faster front desk experience / more employees PS For travelers, be prepared to walk a lot because the property is spread out

Megan Connors

This hotel was absolutely beautiful The grounds and facilities were all impeccable and clean Our “basic” garden view room was so much bigger than expected and we even had a partial ocean view

The staff was extremely friendly and always wanted to make sure everything was up to standardWe were so impressed that we were able to get into our room at 7 AM due to a red eye flightFood was priced as expected for a resort (even cheaper than some I have experienced before) We really enjoyed Nori hibachi and regular tables For lunch we ate at the food truck or ordered pizza to go and ate by the pool Both great! We had one extended wait at the sports bar for a burger but the staff was so apologetic, gave free fries and bottled water We were on vacation and had no where to be No problem for us!Overall we felt this resort was a piece of paradise and we can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely loved staying at this hotel! definitely made you feel at home especially with the hotel cat 😻 I saw some negative reviews on here but we didn’t have any issues people have had the whole week me & my boyfriend stayed here it’s close by to everything & there was two specific women at the front desk were so helpful with telling us good places to eat, etc yes it’s close to the airport so you can hear every plane take off & land but i just wore ear plugs when i went to sleep

people will complain about every & anything! this place was great

Shayla Harris

Don’t accept a room near the lobby especially room 105! The lobby is open 24 hours The hotel needs updating as the room doors are not sound proof, they are thin wood with grates on the bottom and there’s no carpet in the lobby or hallways so the sound travels There was loud talking, loud laughing, microwave door banging, microwave beeping (there are no microwaves in the rooms, only in the lobby) well after 1am and one night until 3am and I could hear the front desk phone ringing all night

I complained the 1st 2 nights to no avail The staff was nice but not very helpful as they suggested we, all 3 of us, were just light sleepers Some parts of the hotel were not cleaned well, little bugs were crawling all over the front desk when I checked in I had to pay $20 per night for a broken roll away bed, but we needed it There was no ramp for handicapped or persons needing help to get to our room, also no elevators There’s also a mangy, old dirty cat that has taken up residence in the lobby Usually laying next to the no animals allowed sign Go figure I hate to say it but if you need sleep or peace and quiet to sleep, or allergic to catsthis isn’t the hotel for you The location, pool and price were great and the highlights of the hotel Next time I’ll pay a little more and get a different hotel, not staying here again

Matthew S

I want to give this hotel a better review because the building, garden and location nearby to the seafront are superb but there were a couple of issues with my stayFirstly, there is a termite infestation throughout the main building I had them in my bedroom, bathroom and got bitten badly

Worse, they were all over the kitchen and even inside the fridge that was used to prepare breakfastSecondly, the breakfast is poor quality and not very varied If you don’t eat scrambled eggs there’s no other option Just a few small pieces of toast with the same jam every day and if you’re lucky some rice and beans The gallo pinto (rice/beans) was cooked up in a big batch and then re-heated in a microwave for the next 4 days The typical Costa Rican breakfast is very simple but if this hotel wants to appeal to international tourists a little more effort needs to be made There were some vegan/gluten free visitors there during my stay who had to go with nothing except tea/coffee and juice for breakfastThe pool area and garden is really nice and it’s 5min walk from the beach frontThere’s a great seafood restaurant just around the cornerIt is a long walk from the town centre along a busy road I didn’t mind this as I’m used to plenty of exercise but some people might get tired and will have to rely on taxis

The hotel was a good value for the price we paid The pool area was quite clean as were the rooms etc There were only very minor issues like the sliding door to the bathroom not functioning correctly and it appeared to be condensation dripping from the window

Aside from the that the roles employees were all very friendly and attentive Rooms were made up halfway through the trip Location of the hotel is great It’s on a main road, right across the street from the beach and walking distance to restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies and bars

My husband and I stayed at the Rainforest Inn for 4 nights in the Jungle Suite and my sister and her husband and her husband occupied the Garden Suite Our stay was absolutely wonderful and as world travelers I can honestly say one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at! The Inn is breathtaking with stunning views of the Rainforest as well as all peace and tranquility it brings Both suites were immaculate and amazing! Our Jungle suite had two his and her bathtubs on the balcony overlooking the Rainforest! It was so unbelievably romantic! The Garden suite had an outdoor garden that was majestic and beautiful! We all enjoyed the most delicious and freshest breakfasts in the garden along with the amazing coffee! This place is a hidden paradise amidst the the El Yunque Rainforest! We enjoyed the beautiful infinity pool on the gorgeous grounds along with a tasty grazing board! The owners Bill and Renee are wonderful and take such pride to make your experience memorable! Thank you so very much for everything! Anna & Ali Aydin

A group of 10 of us came for a 40th birthday and had a great stay at the Beach House The women running it were very helpful and had great communication They cleaned the pool and outside area every morning during our stay

I liked that there are four separate apartments, so we all had a little privacy, but still could enjoy the space as a group It’s in Pinones which is great for local food, bars and restaurants Great place if your looking for something a little different than staying in San Juan area Uber is hard to get, but we had not problem when scheduling in advance

S J Murray

We stayed here Feb 2019 for three days prior to a cruise At first, we were really skeptical The property itself has a lovely pool and securely gated courtyard, and the gate opens up to a cute little hammock and bar area with a boardwalk behind that takes you quite a ways in both directions

The rooms were clean but very primitive by mainland America standards (for instance, you could only get hot water by plugging in an electric box to an outlet on the shower wall; we were really afraid to take a shower and get electrocuted!!) The town is so tiny and has only a postage stamp size grocery store (if you can even call it that) The town clearly had been quite beating up by the hurricane, with many damaged buildings around My fifteen-year-old daughter cried because she was so scared of the area We were also not prepared for the tiny bugs that voraciously chewed on us every evening (they were outside, not inside) Bring bug spray!!!On the other hand, in the three days we spent there, the place really grew on us Mi Casita, the open-air restaurant down the street, served amazing food The locals were friendly and gracious, thanking us for visiting their town The hotel staff was not always on the premises, but when they were they bent over backwards to give us recommendations and to help us (I had had my credit card compromised right before the trip and had to navigate switching the credit card so that we could pay for the stay) It’s less than half an hour to Old San Juan, so it was an affordable Uber to go sightseeing there for a day The pool was very unique and crystal clear we typically have the courtyard to ourselves in the evening there was some sort of a bar nearby with loud music but it didn’t really bother us when we went to bed inside The walks along the boardwalk in the morning provided astounding beauty It was a glimpse into real Puerto Rico life, something far more than a touristy area can provide I would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone with an adventurous spirit who would prefer to be off the beaten path as opposed to in the middle of a tourist area

Nate Gilfillan

This was the worst experience we have ever had staying in a place The apartment was ok Pool was ok

Beach was ok Location is terrible Food selection is very local No where to walk, no sidewalks, neighborhood is pretty sketchy The planes fly directly over the house, all night There is a bar/restaurant right behind it that played music at 120 decibels from noon until almost 1 am!! Definitely wish we would of had a heads up, it was terrible especially with a 2 year old

Our stay here was fantastic Customer service top notch 10 points for cleanliness

Martin from the Banyan Tree Grill was amazing! Had one of the best cocktails hands down! Thanks for the great service Will definitely be returning! A point to note- we booked the ocean view king room booked, but the tower part of the property only has rooms with partial ocean view

Briana Knox

Our stay at this hotel was fantastic in all respects! The atmosphere, the service, the cleanliness, the pool and beach amenities, just everything was amazing I honestly wish we spent at least one more day in PR just to spend at the hotel Everything was top notch, but I was really blown away by the level of professionalism and friendliness from all the staff members

And our room was spotless from beginning to end, which is super important to me I don’t understand some of the negative reviews; I can’t wait to come back and stay again!

-Overall the stay was good and the hotel/bar/casino staff were helpful and nice-My wife and I stayed here for our first vacation out of state since the start of Covid, needless to say, we were excited to go We arrived for our 6 night, 7 day stay on a Thursday around noon and found that our room was ready which was great

The room booked was a “Deluxe Balcony 1 King” and is described as being “Located on Floor 3 in the Grand Tower, these guest rooms feature a sitting area and a private balcony” I would call this a bit of a stretch When we got to our room we noticed a hint of cigarette smoke that seemed to be coming from the vent, I opened the “balcony” door to find that we had a small tiled sitting area encased by a 7ft tall wall you could not see over without climbing onto the sitting area After leaving for a bit to get food, we returned to the same smoke odor but we were too tired to deal with it that night from traveling The next day after leaving the room for a bit we returned to a stronger smoke smell which made us call down to the front desk, this initiated a back and forth which lasted a few hours trying to come up with a resolution that ranged from spraying air freshener(not a fix) to swapping rooms to across the hall with no view or “balcony” for the same rate(not a fix) to our final solution of a slight upgrade which placed us in a junior suite-Like other reviewers have stated, during our 6 night stay we lost power in the room 14 times No real explanation was given for the power loss but we were there during a several storms that dropped a significant amount of rain-The food and beverage prices were quite high based on the quality and quantity provided Like others have stated, service was typically slow not only at this resort but around the island overall-In summary, this hotel was nice but did not seem worth the price or headaches while on a vacation I would most likely not return

I enjoyed my stay at this resort The staff and facilities were the best I took advantage of the on-site spa which was heavenly

The rooms were wonderful The view was great! My only issue was that it is located so far away from everything Renting a car was a must for me Thanks for making my first trip to Puerto Rico memorable!

Robert Salvage

This is a beautiful resort Appearances may be deceiving Touted as a five star resort, the star rating is flawed

If you expect daily room cleaning, you will be disappointed If your flight arrives late and you are hungry, there is no late food service Learn how to set up your pool lounge and umbrella unless you can find a pool boy I realize this is Covid-19 times, but I paid full price and am entitled to full serviceWelcome food platter and welcome letter were addressed to the wrong guest How long was it sitting there? Guest services told me if it smelled good, it’s Okay to eatIf you want to travel outside of the resort, rent a car at the airport or be prepared to wait 25 minutes for Taxi from San Juan as Taxis are not allowed to wait on premises If you bring children, make sure to bring their favorite snacks!!!Food at the resort is incredibly expensive for mediocre qualityOur rate included upgrade upon availability Not available Guest census accidentally stapled into the New York Times actually stated otherwise Resort was 70% occupied I am just posting my review and won’t return I am not asking for amends There are better options

Anya Andreeva-Quirk

We had a fantastic time at the St Regis The property was enormous and perfectly landscaped, complete with walking trails to explore the nature preserve

We enjoyed the beach and beach games, the bike rentals, the beautiful grounds and the impeccable service (including an upgrade to celebrate our engagement) I would advise anyone considering a stay at this location to carefully read the information provided by the hotel to avoid any surprises For example and as noted in other reviews, this resort is in a comparatively remote location with somewhat limited food options — but that is to be expected for a luxury getaway We were able to rent a car nearby to explore El Yunque and other beaches and restaurants

All I can say is the staff is wonderful! Everything is immaculate The amount of people working at this hotel is great! They have everything you need and will do anything to make sure you are comfortable Yes it is a Hampton Inn so some of the decorations in the room are a little older but the cleanliness is amazing

The beds are super comfortable The pool area is very nice for being so close to the airport While it is more expensive than a mainland Hampton Inn, the value you get and service is well worth it The breakfast buffet was one of the best managed I have seen as far as keeping things up and never having anything look out of place Extremely well managed Hampton Inn! I even used the washers and dryers, and that area was immaculate too!

Travel Like a Type A

We only stayed here for 1 night before we checked into our rental house but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was! We got in late after our flight and the complimentary breakfast was perfect to get our day started The staff kept it stocked & clean and they were very gracious with the bottles of water We spent the morning lounging by the pool that we almost had to ourselves

It was so so nice with plenty of loungers and outdoor furniture The swim up bar was really fun & we ordered lots of yummy drinks (the mojito & margarita being our favorites) After check out we wanted to walk around a little & the front desk was very accommodating by holding our bags for us during this time Highly recommend!

I stayed 9 nights at this hotel, and we had an amazing experience They gave us room 125, which was all the way at the end, but to our surprise, it was really close to the pool and had was close to the parking lot at the back side of the hotel which made the coming and going much easier and quicker All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful

The morning breakfast was wonderful and was always something new Parking lot was closed to the public which felt more secure Kids at lots of fund at the pool Will continue to book at this hotel everytime we visit San Juan! Loved our Stay!
