Wife & I stayed at the Hampton Sherman Oaks for two nights while we toured LA from Malibu to Hollywood & UCLA The front desk agent Vishad, was easily the most helpful, pleasant and kind hotel agent that I’ve ever encountered So that helped us have a great beginning

Our room was very nice along with the large shower and nice toiletries available to us Also, the included breakfast offered was extremely nice and the two on duty staff were very helpful We needed a few extra washcloths, phoned the front desk and we had them and more within a few minutes Available free parking was great to not have additional fees tacked onto our bill A certain amount of time after dark, the lobby doors require your room card to enter as does the elevators at all hours for added safety The Sherman Oaks area seems VERY nice and presumably safe A Target store is just a few blocks away to obtain items you may have forgotten All in all a great location and experience for our sightseeing in the LA area No doubt that we would stay here again

We stayed only for one night but will definitely be returning Upon arriving, we were greeted by Vassar (I think I misspelled his name) who gave us our room, explained about the breakfast, and offered directions to anywhere near there Once we were in the room, he called a few hours later to make sure that we had what we needed to be comfortable

At night, Jesus helped us as we were looking for a place to eat He was friendly and knowledgeable and extremely courteous As we checked out, Vassar made sure we had receipt and knew exactly what we were being charged for He explained any charges and offered directions back to home Above all, the entire staff was friendly, courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable In addition, the hotel was clean, convenient, and close to main attractions

Parking our SUV w/ a 6×12 trailer wasn’t hard their parking lot had the space to accommodate us and parking was free I also really liked that they have the Diamond Member parking spots right next to the main entrance, looks real VI

PUpon entering the hotel, the lobby is nicely decorated with modern furniture and lots greenery, it felt very welcoming Also, we arrived late at night around 12:30am and the front desk representative automatically put us in for late checkout which was very thoughtfulWe had 2 rooms on the 4th floor and as we exited the elevator there was a nice sitting area with a long curvy couch, very chic The halls leading to the rooms were well lit and not dark and dingy at allThe rooms were clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable However, the only issue we had was our tub/shower combo in 414 needed to be repaired The stopper in the shower did not work properly so when we pulled the stopper up to start the shower the tub was also filling up The next morning I told the front desk representative and he made a note of itOverall I would stay at this hotel again, 9 out of 10 I recommendNote: Breakfast was complimentary but we didn’t get up for breakfast

I recently stayed at the Hotel Burbank for more than a week The staff truly made it feel like home, and I give them really high marks The room also was very good

It included a mini fridge, microwave, and good climate control system The neighborhood was wonderful with several excellent restaurants within close walking distance The only slight downsides were that there was limited drawer space and limited bathroom counter space The elevators also were also a little slow With that said, I would absolutely jump at the chance to stay there again The Hotel Burbank was a wonderful place to stay

Yvonne Leyva

The stay was clean and comfortable Good area Walking distance to restaurants and 15 minutes from Universal Studios

Customer Service was great Ethan checked is in and was very helpful Only thing was I wish the lounge would have been opened One night wanted to stay in and have a few drinks but the was closed Other than that it was a great stay

Brett R. Brown

This Hotel is very spacious The hallways are wide and the rooms are spacious and the lobby is big and comfortable The service was great

They helped me get a late check out The pool was nice and clean and it was a nice area to relax The location is perfect for downtown Burbank It is close to great places to eat and a movie theater and we were able to walk to a nice hike in the hills and it is really close to the Burbank airport You need to Uber to the airport but it is a quick trip I liked the decor in the lobby

This location was truly accommodating We stayed here for 7-days due to our home being flooded and their staff took us in right awayThe front desk staff was amazing! Thank you so much LT , Louie, Jazz, Melissa and Alexandria you all made my family feel so welcomed! The feeling their team gives you is like being “Home, but away from home”

I will definitely come back and refer my friends and family to come and stay I love the nightly vibes at their bourbon bar Great place to stop and watch the game, or any sports eventsI am so thankful for everyone who helped us, and happy this place is not too far, will be back for those Tater Tots!

The hotel is new and everything is vibrant The is hotel is valet parking only $33 night Not a problem I love to tip

However, I went through 8 different rooms after Checking in I changed 4 different rooms because of dirty beds One of the rooms had skid marks on the sheets, two had hair and crumbs and the other had toenails Not to mention the floor in the bathroom was dirty as you enter Finally the night clerk decided to go up with me and check it out We went through 4 more different rooms before finding a room that was cleaned properly She was really helpful I would give them another stay because the hotel is new I would hope they would hire new and or better maid help

Mixay Chanthala

The room we stayed in was nice Normal Why 4/5 is because of the charges

Parking was 29 a night…I thought that was ridiculous but I haven’t stayed in a hotel in while Maybe it’s the norm now We went down to their restaurant during happy hour and food/drinks Our bill included our stuff and added an extra 15 buck for employee living wages and something else This did not include tip which they also wanted So, our bill for food/drinks was 73 then add in the extra cost for employee living+ comes to 89 This is without tip So, add in another 15% of 73 plus the 15 bucks comes to around 98 dollars I paid a lot for food before but the charges for this place is outrageous Definitely don’t recommend the restaurant but everything else was fine I would’ve given a 3 if it wasn’t for a shuttle taking us to universal

Lace Anderson Garland

This hotel is super cute and the staff are remarkable! From early check in to ensuring my breakfast room service was on time

they delivered They have all the amenities and an adorable community feel this is welcoming to both families and adults The staff consistently seeks to do the absolute best for their guests and honestly seems thrilled to be of service My one neg would be that my room was highway side I closed the curtains and turned on the fan/AC and the white noise made everything fine but I am confident that if you took a room interior to the complex this wouldnt be an issue 1000% this team makes this one of the best stays I have had in a long time Also- super easy to get to Universal!

Jon Eastaugh

My wife and I stayed for the first part of our honeymoon Ideal location for day trips, most places are no more than a 30 minute Uber ride away The restaurant part of the hotel is incredibly stylish and the food was amazing

The pool area is stylish and features a movie screening every night with classics such as ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘The Princess Bride’ The staff were fantastic Friendly and helpful at every turn, and the grounds are clean and incredibly well maintained I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying there next time I’m in Los Angeles

Great location, decent underground parking Staff was nice and pleasant Room was clean but it didn’t have USB connections to fixtures(lamps) like I am use to at other Hilton locations

Good variety of food just a quick drive or walk away Room service wasn’t availableone person at desk said only lunch and dinner then when I tried to order, they said it wasn’t available Breakfast wasn’t cheap and not worth the cost Better off eating somewhere else nearby I would stay there again for business trips but I might look around for another place for family trips

Julie Schlomer

The room type was incorrect even after confirming the correct type of room twice with the front desk prior to our arrival The room was not what I reserved After I entered the room and discovered the wrong type, I called the front desk, and was advised: “Oh we ran out of those rooms, we have two weddings this weekend

“The bathtub was stopped/plugged/not draining resulting in us showering in high ankle-deep water Disgusting! Reported it immediately the first morning and the engineer that was supposed to come to fix it never didHad to call to request toilet paper as there is no daily cleaning service and there was no additional toilet paper left in bathroomWastebaskets not emptied as requestedRequested a manager call me and this person did notThis was a totally unacceptable experience from a Hilton facility and not of the quality typical for Hilton hotels The only reason I gave 2 points was due to the housekeeping staff that delivered towels and also for “Phillip” at front desk who tried to rectify the tub problem but by then we were checking out Their customer service was 5-star

C Martinez

Nice clean hotel with friendly staffwe stayed for two nights and three days

after checking in we realized our tv in the room didn’t work so we notified the front desk, we were quickly given a different room with a working tv We brought our dog with us on this trip and had plenty of space in the room to accommodate all of us Located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of shop and dining options Door Dash had no problems delivering to the hotel

Great location near Burbank airport and attractions, with lots of stores and restaurants close by Busy street, so a bit noisy The beds were comfortable and the sheets very soft

The sofa bed was already made up, which we really appreciated The front desk staff was very polite and helpful Breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety Thank you for a great stay!

Tonya Darghali

Looking for an affordable stay near Universal? Look no further Don’t let the outside areas fool you, this hotel is a diamond Simple and small enough for any stay

The front desk gentleman Jerar was incredibly kind and welcoming and informative The only odd thing is parking, but hey at least it’s free! The breakfast is also great, the staff are quick to restock bagels and such I will definitely return if I’m ever in the area

Eileen L. Smith

The parking was unusual They had limited parking, and many of the cars had to be double parked to fit everyone

This comfort Inn was small but awesome Beds were very tall, pillows, and comforters super fluffy The breakfast was huge and had many choices It did not disappoint The night staff was friendly and helpful Although there were homeless camped on the sidewalk across the street, I felt safe in the garrage parking of the hotel There was a pool that I thought was an indoor pool untill I looked out my room window and could look straight down to it It was an open-air pool Thoughts of taking a dip in February quickly left my head This was a great experience I had no complaints

Incredibly friendly staff, from check in to housekeeping to the shuttle drivers – they were all exceptional Rooms were clean and everything we needed for our 3 night stay Location was perfect for what we wanted to do

It’s worth repeating that the customer service was some of the best we have encountered If you have the chance to eat at Olives Bistro (right next to the hotel) definitely give it a shot – you will not be disappointed The food was incredible Thank you for a great stay!

Nicole Edwards

Our family stayed here on a road trip along the Cali coast, we visited from Colorado We loved our two days and nights at Safari Inn Truly comfortable beds, clean rooms, tiny fridges available, good coffee supplied in the room, very fun pool, a small fitness room with weights and treadmill, laundry room, and free shuttle to and from Universal Studios

Staff was helpful and friendly It is walking distance from some good Thai food, Mexican food, and Starbucks Not too busy and loud of an area however! They add $200 to your initial charge to use at their restaurant but whatever you don’t use falls of at the end We never ate at the bistro, so no reports on how good that is

Kennedy Tartaglia

A trip to the Safari Inn was a great recommendation! The location is perfect, safe down from the studios in Burbank, and clean! As two young women in our 20s we felt that the Safari Inn was perfect! The staff is the kindest hotel staff I have ever had encounters with, and are readily available by call or at the desk The rooms are WAY bigger then expected and are clean! Floors, mirrors, shower, bed, dressers

you name it, it is CLEAN! They have rooms with a full kitchen, yes FULL kitchen The pool and deck area are also great extras to have fun at and enjoy a phone call or some breakfast The parking lot is a tight fit, but it is free to park At checkout they did NOT nickel-and-dime us with incidentals, very honest hotel Right around the corner is a walkable CVS for any missing items forgotten I would recommend this place 100 times!

First time staying at this location and I have to say the front desk service is absolutely amazing! The check in and out process is very easy and I was greeted by warm welcomes! The staff members are very professional and I can feel the hospitality from HyattAs the Fuel Run event hotel, I will be returning back from Aug 15-17 and I’m looking forward to another great experience over there! The breakfast is paid buffet with world class open kitchen design and I love it! The parking garage is easily accessible The WIFI is fast and TV is big and smart

Dan Zimmerman

Typical of a Hyatt Nice place, clean hotel, friendly staff, good sized rooms Only issue I had was the shower flooded after one quick use and I had to change rooms around 8pm since it overflowed

Didn’t get to use much more except the room, bar & restaurant as it was a business trip Melissa, the bartender, was great Engaging, attentive and handled the large crowd with ease Parking is across an access road in a structure, not bad Overall good hotel that I’ll return to for business especially as a World of Hyatt Globalist Member

Me and my wife decided to stay here for our business trip last minute Overall it was a very clean hotel and dog friendly (as we needed) The room was clean upon arrival

no complaints there However no parking we had to valet $22 a day I believe I wouldn’t say that was the bad part as can be expected in LA honestly The noise each night constantly hearing people running around on the top floors doors slamming we honestly wouldn’t have cared had it been decent timing but this went on at late hours of the night after 1am even so that was very unfortunate Either the walls are super thin or just loud people staying there with no common courtesy Whatever the case was it wasn’t pleasant waking up to some lovers being noisy at 8am I was very disappointed We tried to extend our check out time the night before and were told to call the next morning the day of check out That was something that bothered me but I guess that didn’t matter with the wake up call we got for whatever neighbor that got busy that morning Anyway just something to keep in mind when visiting this hotel We also heard the cleaning lady being yelled at for trying to do her job she was so nice so I didn’t think that was necessary maybe just rude people the weekend we were there Me and my wife just didn’t expect all that for what we paid for Maybe the people maybe the area this might be helpful or also give people some insight on having hotel manners

Kyle Witt

Highly recommend this hotel Our family of 5 arrived in Burbank about this 10 pm after a 9 hour travel day Shuttle bus arrived at the airport within 10 min of our call and driver was friendly and courteous

Room was clean, hotel was quiet, and the sofa bed was already made (and pretty comfortable for a sofa bed) No frills but a very cool peasant stay for our family!

Vincent Chiaro

Have stayed at Hampton Inns very frequently, in fact it’s my go-to favorite hotel chain This one missed the mark though Overall the hotel is nice, clean, good breakfast, and nicely designed but a few things were not great:1 – All the 2 queen bed rooms are facing the freeway side of the hotel (or so I’m told when we asked to change)

There is a lot of freeway noise2 – Valet only parking and $20/night parking fee3 – Our room only had 1 partial roll of toilet paper and no “do not disturb sign” Housekeeping tried to enter our room at 9am on the day we were scheduled to check out (at 11am)The location was pretty convenient for going to Universal Studios Breakfast was good as usual, but the freeway noise cost us a decent night’s sleep

Overall, this is a good place to stay Safety is always a big concern for me because I’m a young, visibly queer woman who travels alone This hotel is definitely a safe place to stay if any of those categories apply to you

This hotel is a short walk away from downtown Burbank, restaurants, a mall, and a movie theater Not to mention it’s only a 10-15 minute drive from Universal If you’re only staying for a few days/going to theme parks, I’d definitely recommend this hotel The room was clean + spacious, and the staff was friendly I was in a 1 bedroom suite and loved the full kitchen + living room spaceAs for negatives, I heard people stomping around in the room above me Luckily it stopped quickly, but I can see it being a problem As other reviewers said, noise can also be an issue since this hotel is right next to a freeway My hotel room faced away from the freeway, so noise wasn’t a huge problem for me as long as the windows were closed The layout of this hotel is a little strange There’s underground and above ground parking available for $18/day The underground parking is a little sketchy at night so I’d recommend sticking with above ground parking

Liliana Stratton

Would not recommend this hotel We had an awful experience here My parents were asked (forced) to switch rooms mid-stay to accommodate a “VIP” client

Despite already being checked in to their room We were lied to, told they’d get a better room but were moved to a worse room with a smaller bed The management was rude and unfriendly I would never stay here again Find another hotel option or an Airbnb! Oh and my daughter got sick after swimming in the disgusting pool Wish I never let her go in it Overall just bad! Nothing good to say sadly

Shaun H

Stayed several times Would get full on 5 stars if:1) at $300+ a night, it should come with room service each day without asking This is not a motel 6

2) total junk toilet paper is provided Again, this is not a budget hotel upgrade to TP that doesn’t stick to your fingers each and every time you use it

We stayed a week in the hotel, the hotel was very clean and nice, indoor and out, the staff was friendly Outdoor pool and relaxing area was absolutely beautiful and even more gorgeous at night Loved that they had breakfast for their guests every morning, the only down fall with that was it was the same things over and over, but everything was good just wish it had a more healthier selection and a little more variety but still good

They loaned us a fan for our room, which we really appreciated cause we sleep with one and without one would have been miserable so that was so very appreciated Our overall experience was above average, so thank you all for making our California stay a wonderful relaxing one Highly recommended and we will come again

Shirley Dong

This hotel appears to be pretty new The design and the furniture are very modern We stayed here two nights for six flags magic mountain after our San Diego trip

The bed is very comfortable, the room is extremely spacious with big closet which can fit almost all of our luggages The bathroom has shower room only which might be challenging for family with kids like us The breakfast has lots of selections and meets the typical Marriott standard But the hotel is not the cleanest one among all that we have stayed since this year The maintenance/ cleaning group needs to work hard to protect Marriott brand The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly They were here to help address any concern you have

Timothy Bee

Close to magic mountain and pretty quiet considering it’s next to the freeway They had a good breakfast buffet and plenty of seating both indoors and outThe hotel is quiet and one of the newer properties

Our room had plugs everywhere for charging devices The wifi was pretty good as well Parking is free and plentiful

I don’t usually write a lot of reviews, but I wanted to share my great experiences here at Residence Inn I work as a travel nurse, and I’m always looking for a safe, clean and comfortable place to call my home away from home I like to pack light, so I’m looking for a place that has all the amenities I need to make that possible

Residence Inn has all in this location! The suites offer a full kitchen with all the supplies I needed to cook meals, coffee maker stocked with coffee, and a dishwasher so I wasn’t spending my time off doing dishes The suite was perfect sized for 1-2 people I would say, with lots of storage, and the bed is SO comfy! I need to find out how to buy the mattress topper and pillows they have for my own home, because they’re so soft and cozyI also appreciated that the large and spacious lobby offers plenty of comfortable seating, along with a bar serving drinks and food in the evening, and a complimentary hot breakfast in the morning This was a huge selling point for me, as it was very convenient for me that I could go have a drink and food there at the end of the day, and eat their delicious hot breakfast in the morning before heading to a busy day at workEverything about how the hotel is run is perfectly From the friendly customer service at the front desk checking me in, to times when I needed something and I was quickly helped, to the Super clean rooms, great breakfast and bar, I can’t say enough about how much I have enjoyed staying here Special thanks to Luanna for so kindly helping me with my reservations, Donna for making the best breakfasts and being so friendly in the mornings, and Robert at the bar/restaurant for his delicious drinks and great service This place is the best around, and I highly recommend!

Quick stopover on our way from SF to SD- Booked standard studio suite using Marriott points No upgrade (didn’t ask either since it was a quick stopover)

No acknowledgement of status (Gold) upon check-in- Since I was traveling with my parents, needed an extra set of bedding This was provided by the front desk staff and I had to carry it up stairs myself (not a big deal, but expected it in the room or delivered) Since I had put 3 guest on the reservation, I feel they should have at least placed it on the sofa prior to arrival, or offered to send it up- Room was mostly clean, spacious, and well stocked The property is fairly new so overall the environment is pretty good Nothing too fancy, sofa bed definitely isn’t as good as Hyatt House Cupertino, but it is fine for a quick overnight stop- Noticed toilet was not fully flushed, there was still toilet paper in there (but nothing else thankfully) Not sure what happened- Complimentary breakfast: very standard, although I did notice some fruit didn’t seem too fresh Could be improved, especially the scrambled eggs and coffee- Parking was easy and free – has covered and outdoor parking There is EV charging if needed (not supercharger), although a Tesla supercharger location is only 6 min drive from hotel if needed (at a shopping center)- Location is right off the 5 freeway, super convenient for overnight stay

I was very happy with the room and service The rooms are nice and spacious and very clean The staff was very nice and professional

The location doesn’t give for the greatest view but it’s close to Magic Mountain so perfect for a stay after a fun day My room was on the freeway side but I couldn’t hear the traffic at all I highly recommend this hotel

I enjoyed my week-long stay in this hotel The housekeeping staff was great at making sure our room was clean and we had everything we needed The staff was friendly, and Patrick at the front desk was extremely gracious and helpful

The view from the 10th floor was beautiful, and we were in close proximity (walking distance) to plenty of restaurants

Sean Bryan

We flew into Van Nuys for work and stayed here for 2 nights It was a convenient location and to be and easy for us to get over the hill and down to Santa Monica and Downtown LA The hotel was clean and friendly staff

Check in process was a breeze The hotel also has a cafe down stairs for breakfast which was good There are plenty of options for food right near the hotel

Exceeded expectations We booked the hotel for a family vacation and based on previous reviews had relatively low expectations However the staff was very friendly, the rooms are very clean and spacious, and amenities were good

We didn’t have much time to use the pool and the outdoor facilities but they were more than adequate, clean and enjoyable The breakfast was much better than indicated by the reviews The packaged quiche, frittata, and bagels were actually pretty good It saved us a significant amount of money by feeding the kids breakfast at the hotel rather than spending time and money on takeout or sit down somewhere else Convenient location Would definitely recommend

Dad was in town and had a 2 Queen Larger Studio room reserved here, and it wasn’t the best experienceUpon arriving at the room, noticed it was an accessible room, which is not great if not needed, as everything is lowered by design, so mirrors don’t align when standing, sinks are lower, hand rails everywhere (and taking up space in the shower) etc It’s great these rooms are offered for those who need them, but they aren’t great for those who don’t

This was not what was booked and there was no mention of it at check-in After calling down to the front desk, the rather unhelpful staff said they were all booked up, nothing they could do, and refused to make any concession with regard to rate, parking fees ($18 per night for parking btw) or anything Just pretty much said “sorry, can’t help you, we’re full” Strangely we didn’t run into a single person in the hall to or from the elevator over 3 nightsThe room itself is nice enough, though the couch is incredibly stiff so not great for lounging for any length of time Nice to have a working mini-fridge and microwave, and the TV was on a nice swivel mount so you could tilt to either side of the room if you were watching from either the couch or a bed AC unit made some additional noise too, but probably not the case in all roomsThe pool area looks nice (didn’t use it), and they have a small fitness center and laundry area ($3 for wash, $3 for dry), though we didn’t use eitherThere’s supposed to be a bar and a restaurant but it didn’t look like either appeared to be open at any point over the weekend, so not sure what’s up there Lobby bars are a great addition to any hotel, and they have one there, but it was dark and not staffed There is a small convenience area where you can buy some beer, wine, soda, snacks, etc if you want, and it appeared to be open at all times, as it’s next to check-in deskLocation is walkable to a lot of downtown Burbank, and easy to get to and from the 5 freeway, so I would say it’s convenientOverall a fine stay, just a bit disappointing with regard to the service (or lack thereof) and the room being a bit less than maybe what the pictures would indicate

Customer service at Burbank location is terrible I called the front desk from my room and it took forever to get a hold of someone Once they answer they put you on hold or tell you they will call your room back in a few minutes

I believe this is very unprofessional specially if you are a guest Very rude front desk staff They have the biggest attitudes They are also short staffed and just the wrong people working in my opinion Housekeeping is terrible as well I really wasn’t so happy with this place and the service they provided for me Rooms are good and cozy but I had a issue with my bed their was black hairs all over the pillows and sheets I guess from a previous guest that had stayed or maybe housekeeping didn’t do their job correctly to make sure everything is spotless I believe cleanliness is important Also a few blood stains on the blankets as well Pool hours are from 8am until 10pm and during my stay people were still swimming past pool hours kids yelling and shouting in the pool and it’s 10:40pm so basically past the hours of the pool I called the front desk to let them know it’s disturbing and pretty loud since I can hear it from the 4th floor Luckily they had everyone leave after my phone call I just would say this place is okay not the best but just wanted to point out some of the things that bothered me during my stay here

Hotel is nice and room was clean Staff were friendly Parking seems a bit complicated and tight

Convenient location My only true complaint is the breakfast Choice options were okay however some of the cooked items were burnt or extremely dry For me, food is an essential part of my stay I stayed two nights and both nights they were out of the delicious 😋 cinnamon rolls that I love from HIE If I had to choose again I probably wouldn’t stay here

Julia Steele

Hotel was clean and neat The breakfast was good too The last day they had good egg, cheese, and sausage croissants

The parking lot is a little tight… if you have a truck be mindful you might need to park in there additional parking which is away from the hotel The surrounding area is a little sketchy but the hotel is blocked off from all that

zot171

Room had clean beds, but also some scratches on the mirror and stains on the carpet, and setting the AC unit to fan mode fills the room with a damp smell Elevator and main lobby have some minor cosmetic issues just out of reach, like nobody knows where to find a ladder Breakfast is varied but not great quality, I’ve had better hotel food

Hotel was booked through work, but they took a card “just for incidentals” and charged me instead of work

Nice & clean beds, sheets Bathroom nice Parking limited, but decent with 10$ a night extra otherwise, park on the street

And didn’t look to friendly out on streets , but whom I to judge Attendant nice and cordial Stayed 3 nights and each night replaced turned down perfect Gave housekeeping extra tip for cleanliness Due to inflation, everything was more cost But I still would come back As always, post your experiences , where ever you end up

Ami at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating!!The hotel met my expectations with rooms and service And the parking garage was so convenientIf I were to make a suggestion to change anything it would be to muffle the air/heaters and get a different brand of sheets

Not sure what blend they were but felt scratchy and very syntheticOther than that I really enjoyed my stay and would 100% go back and recommend to people!! Thanks Lexen for the accommodations!!
