Get your Clark Gable on AND enjoy a comfortable stay at the beach The Georgian has all the style and charm of a classic Hollywood-era hotel with modern comfort and convenience Lovely architecture and a perfect location with modern bathrooms and plumbing

Our room was fresh and clean and had plenty of plugs for all our gadgets The only thing a bit “dated” was the elevators (they worked fine but a bit creaky) This is a hotel where the staff will get to know you quickly and greet you when you return The woman at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful and the valet was fast and very courteous We have stayed here several times and will always return when we are in Santa Monica

Lovely place to stay Rich history and comfortable room, the view is awesome! The valet staff, restaurant staff, and cleaning staff were absolutely awesome However I’m giving a 3 due to poor valet service and the young lady at the front desk

The issue is I asked to retrieve my car and she said “ it will be just a few minutes” – 20 minutes later still no car , I expressed that I would be late for a very important meeting and she replied in a sarcastic manner “well I told you it would take a few minutes” A few minutes to me is 3 or 4 not 20 , and while trying to get her attention away from the computer that she stared at most of the time ( as I passed the desk from time to time during my stay ) and receiving a sarcastic response was unbecoming of a host Secondly the day I check out I was told that the valet guy was late to work so I had to go retrieve my car from the garage no help with luggage, no apologies, no nothing and when I commented again to the same sarcastic young lady she just said “yeah well” and laughed it off So off I went to the 4th level below to get my car with zero help… that’s not “valet”, especially at $52 a day To be clear the valet staff are respectful, kind, and work hard, the problem is how they are managed While my stay at this amazing hotel was fantastic I was left disappointed with a poor valet service and a young sarcastic disrespectful host that really needs a refresher in hospitality and guest service I sent an email through the web site with my concern and to kindly refund 2 days of valet services but yet to hear backUpdate, I added a star as the management team has indeed addressed the issue appropriately and I will return in the future Thank you

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, the staff were helpful and the bathroom had everything I needed Very easy to walk around downtown Santa Monica or to the Pier

The hotel restaurant was fine, but with so many dining choices around that area, finding another place to eat isn’t difficult A charming Art Deco building No complaints at all

The Sea Blue Hotel is such a gem if you’re looking for a nice, affordable stay near the Santa Monica pier! It’s literally steps away from the beach, restaurants, bars, bike rentals, etc Our room was perfectly spacious for 2 people, very clean, and nicely decorated for a “60s vibe” California trip There’s also a microwave and coffee maker in the lobby for guest use, outside tables/chairs, and a balcony on the back side with a nice view of the pier and ocean! All of the staff were so helpful and accommodating

They also helped us find overnight parking when their lot was full Oh, and it’s only a few blocks from the metro and bus stations as well!

JC Carlson

Great location! The proximity to the pier and beach is the greatest amenity at this quaint seaside motel-style hotel For that alone I would stay here again The beach is only one block away! The staff is amazing, so that is a huge plus

I had only pleasant experiences no matter what time of day or night and even some great conversationsI knocked off a star because of the bathroom It really needs remodeling badly The sink stopper got stuck in the down position a few times and the shower pressure could have been better if the water wasn’t also flowing from the main faucet at the same timeBathroom aside, this is a great place I hated knocking off a full star, but the review had to be an honest one

Kai Sheng

Pros: Great location and staff was very friendlyCons: Our room faced the street side, and there is no insulation or sound proofing on the door or windows Our stay was very noisy from late night guests returning home in revelry to incessant car traffic along Ocean

The shower head pressure is also very weak and showerhead is probably 5’5″ high The AC unit attached to the window is right above the toilet and doesn’t work! I’d say you can find better value elsewhere

Dan VanGent

I knew when I booked this room that it was several blocks back from the ocean So I had low expectations for an “ocean view” room I was pleasantly surprised by the view from the large balcony of our 7th floor west-facing room

We had a great sweeping view of the ocean over the low rise buildings, including the mountains and coastline all the way to MalibuThe room was good sized, clean, comfortable, and in good working order The only downside for me was the lack of a coffee maker in the room I know that’s a personal preference But for me, that’s a deal breaker when choosing a hotelService was great throughout the hotel, including valet parking, the front desk, and restaurantThere’s not a lot within close walking distance, so having a car is important Fortunately, the hotel restaurant has great food at restaurant prices And the complimentary valet parking saves at least $50 a night compared to many nearby hotels

Derick Cuthbert

Had a wonderful 3 night stay at this property I’m so grateful they had valet parking at no additional feeRoom:Spacious and clean

We had daily housekeeping We used the sofa bed for my 7 year old to sleep in the living room areaLocation:A little out of the way from the promenade and pier It’s about a 15 – 20 minute walk but we chose to drive instead Parking around the pier is plentiful and inexpensiveWe did not dine on-site or use the fitness center The bar is fantastic thoughI would absolutely return my for my next stay in Santa Monica

Kalil Saikaley

Great hotel The location was very central Rooms were very clean and beautifully furnished

Pool very clean Free parking and bike rentals:))))) One huge positive, was Carlos and Jimmy They made sure that our stay was a memorable one They bent over backwards to make sure we were very happy Please rewards these guys, they are an asset I would definitely go back

The view from the roof top is perfectly out looking the ocean for beautiful sunsets The balcony also allows you to see the fun filled streets below This top is perfect for beautiful pictures

As soon as you enter your room you’re met with a cute kitchen/living room area with sleek marble countertops and fun red brick walls Kinda off and more private is the bedroom and bathroom The bed is big and comfortable perfect for falling asleep after a long day vacationing To top it all off their bathroom is beautiful and modern again with sleek countertops and mirror lights on the mirror This is perfect for doing makeup and getting ready If you’re looking for a hotel with a good shower this is the place It has a glass shower with 2 shower heads each of which, get very very hot and the water pressure is perfect Not too hard but not too light I didn’t think this place could get better but it did The receptionist were the sweetest people ever making our stay more comforting and 10 times more enjoyable One of the receptionist named Danielle had my heart She was the sweetest and every time I’d come in and out of the hotel I looking forward to her greetings If you’re looking for a fun, comfortable, beautiful, and trendy place to stay this is the way to do it

Nice location, great handicapped accessibility – bathroom in particular was well done!Gilbert at the front desk was especially helpful and friendly!Parking is awful though! Expect to spend close to $50 day/nightly parking…no parking available Drove around one evening for close to a half hour, there is no “free” parking as they indicate…day parking is $10 and nightly $35 and up!

Rasheedah

I stayed in room 307 on the third floor and at the back of the hotel on the side that faces the public parking garage next door Hotel is in a very busy area This is not a hotel for a peace and quiet type of vacation

Loud music all day and into the night Very clean and staff was very nice and personable Lots of choices for food within close walking distance Bed had a firm mattress but it was comfortable to me If you’ve ever been to IKEA, the room looks exactly like a setup in an Ikea showroom Very cute and eclectic It was convenient to be right on the boardwalk Easy access to the beach, restaurants, bike rentals, etc The shower was awesome! Good water pressure with two shower heads, one of which was a rainfall shower head The kitchenette had pots and pans plus a whole four person set of dishes and silverware Not much provided in the way of cooking utensils except a big cooking spoon and a slotted spoon This is California so be prepared to smell marijuana as you explore the beach and boardwalk If you are sensitive to it, you should choose another place to visit All in all, it was a good experience I give it four out of five stars due to the noise, but that’s not really the fault of the hotel so much as it is inherent to the location itself

This is simply the best hotel in Santa Monica The service from the booking process to checking out is exemplary This was my tenth visit to the hotel since it opened

Ramon at check in was so friendly and helpful – he wrote a list of cafes and restaurants to visit and told me about a local band that was playing at the hotel one evening that week The hotel also offers free bikes and you can book them out for half a day – there is a cycle path along the coast which is beautifulAnother person who provided excellent service was Tony on the bell desk – he is very friendly and helpful Jesse is also another excellent employee who is a credit to the hotel and he helped me with my reservation prior to arrivalThe rooms are spacious and have stylish wooden floors and the balcony is just the right size to sit out and eat dinner on whilst watching the sunset The pool area is clean and never too busy and the hot tub is a welcome addition after a day of cycling! The hotel is in an ideal location – 5 minutes from the pier and 5 minutes from the Third Street Promenade with a range of restaurants and cafesThank you again for another outstanding stay!

Teliese Purdy

After a long day of traveling there is nothing better than being greeted with exceptional customer serviceThis evening Ramon was kind enough to check the system and see if there were any upgrades available (per my request) He walked me through the options and price points and helped me select the best option for my stay

He also walked me through how to locate my room All of this with a polite and professional demeanorIt really set the tone for the duration of my stay and Ramon made me happy that I booked at the Shore HotelRespectfully,Ms P

Robyn

I have so many good things to say about Shore It’s a beautiful hotel, smells great, and staff are friendly, happy, and helpful Parking is easy and a great value (has in and out privileges)

Hotel feels safe, and location is prime You’re across the pier and walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, and obviously the beach I love the bike rental they provide, that made our Santa Monica visit so much better and I would stay here again because of their easy to use bikes and the location!! The room is modern, spacious, and beautiful They’re not your tacky cookie cutter large chain hotel rooms with the outdated carpets (We didn’t utilize the pool or other amenities but they looked great!) We are 100% starting here again when we return to Santa Monica

Freshly renovated The room was really nice Probably my best hotel stay so far in California

I like it better than the courtyard marina del ReyThe room was very quiet and I couldn’t hear loud footsteps above me or people in the room next to meThe service was good and the breakfast at the restaurant was great It is valet only for parking so plan accordingly if that is an issueThe surprise on top was the spray they provide in the rooms to help aid in falling asleep I was skeptical but it worked And have used it at home Great job Marriott

C. Paulsen

The rooms have a nice, roomy, modern design, but like most Marriott hotels, there are some minor cosmetic maintenance issues (baseboard in hallway needing repairs, wallpaper in bathroom peeling on edges) The pool was lovely and well cleaned The restaurant for breakfast was delicious and wait staff super friendly

Most of the staff was great, but there was a problem with my reservation (put me for 1 night instead of the 2 I had reserved) and when I went to fix it, the staff at first didn’t seem to want to help at all – like I was causing problems That was a minor blip to otherwise good experience

TIFFANY GUO

Incredible stay! Service was excellent, rooms were clean, spacious, modern, and it’s quiet in the rooms for a good night’s sleep (I’ve been at one too many hotels where you can hear guests next door entering / exiting their rooms) The only thing that was lacking was the water pressure – showering was not super satisfying with the weak water pressure Despite that, would definitely book here again!

My wife and I had a great two night stay here The place is beautiful, staff was excellent, and you couldn’t hope for a better location We flew in early and our room wasn’t ready yet, but the front desk let us use the spa bathrooms to change and clean up, then held our luggage while we took the complimentary bikes out for a ride on the beach path

Big thanks to Antoine for helping us coordinate that ahead of time! Our room kept magically tidying itself up and fresh waters kept appearing throughout the trip Top notch service and everyone was friendly as well We’ll be staying here again the next time we’re in Santa Monica!

Beautiful hotel, with Beautiful decor We were lucky to have our stay when the new year/Xmas lights were still on It gives a wonderful vibe to the Beautiful banyan tree at the entrance to this hotel

The room was nice, but could be more spacious The pool was warm, but the hot tub was spending! The sitting area(s) are amazing With tastefully decorated furnitures The food and the bar was also great The staff is extremely well mannered and the cafe is kid friendly Overall a very good ambience and a wonderful stay The proximity to the beach is great They also offer free bike rides for the same We did not use that service but I would say was a good option Would recommend the place for a good stay near the hustle and bustle

Jessica Arzola

Location was great but the rest of my stay was horrid I encountered 2 very nice people during my stay The gentleman who checked me in and the gentleman who took my luggage

Other than that I couldn’t use any of the amenities I was looked down by staff and disregarded during my stay They would attend the Caucasian people who would be standing behind me and ignored me and my family completely They offer spa amenities to guests with your stay However, when we inquired about the services, the staff were extremely rude by saying that those were only available for guest I had been staying at this hotel for over 3 nights paying $1000+ a night If I couldn’t afford this place for my family, I wouldn’t be there My husband couldn’t even work out comfortably as another guest kept asking if he worked there and making comments like “I didn’t know they allowed staff to use the facility” After he told him I don’t work here, he then kept asking what he does for a living The restaurant hostess extremely rude Never again I have stayed in many many other resorts, hotels, bungalows and they are 100 times more comfortable with better furniture, and cleaner rooms Not Worth your money!!!!!!

I stayed here with my Sister and niece and I am only reviewing the property as I paid for none of it so I can’t give insight on pricing Valet was quick and efficient They have an outdoor pool on the 3rd floor with plenty of seating in the area

No hot tub that was disappointing for one of the kids and myself There is a restaurant on site if you don’t feel like going out, but it’s a bit pricing compared to other food options in the area But you pay for convenience Location wise it’s maybe a 8 to ten minute walk to the pier and maybe the same to the downtown shops It’s really not a far walk and kept us active and not having to worry about parking in the city The room we were in was nice and the only wish I have is that in addition to the mini fridge that they had a microwave in-room also You can store leftovers but can’t reheat them I didn’t hear people through the walls or overhead so that’s a positive Also I appreciate that the tv allowed us to plug in our Nintendo Switch easily with no restrictions to keep the kids entertained Depending on pricing I’d definitely stay here again

Kellie Niles

One of the best hotels I’ve visited I have stayed at hotels for $500 a night that weren’t as nice as this The entire hotel was IMMACULATE and smelled so good

We saw the maintenance team scrubbing the elevator floors at night The restaurant (though overpriced) had really good food The location is ideal, the room was super clean and comfortable My husband slept on the pull-out sofa with my son and it was as comfortable as the bed The room was quiet and had modern amenities like a nightlight in the bathroom and plentiful USB charging ports I’d definitely stay there again

Madison Eve

I mentioned the upgrade and the desk agent made it happen! I very much enjoyed my stay but keep in mind there is a $50 a day incidental due at check in Also, $40 a day for valet parking was a no go for us We somehow managed to finesse free parking from the garage across the street and it was fine

I had an amazing birthday in Santa Monica thanks guys !

Great hotel! Room was very clean I asked for a quiet room and they put me at the end of a hallway It was so dark and quiet in the room I felt like I was in a sensory deprivation tank! I loved it

The staff is amazing! Especially the front desk workers Super friendly and accommodatingI loved the pool and hot tub which I must say I had to myself The pool is heated which is very nice! The location is really great Close to the pier and beach and third street promenade It is true that there are many homeless people in the area However, the area is heavily patrolled and I didn’t feel unsafe in the least Having said that, any hotel near the ocean in LA will have the same problem At least the Marriot has some safety protocols in placeI don’t usually write hotel reviews but I really appreciated my time here and I recommend the hotel to anyone!

S Marisa

While I had an issue my first night, they quickly resolved and upgraded me to another room The rooms were spotless, I didn’t use the pool or the gym but the outdoor fireplace was great area to unwind at night The hotel only uses valet parking through a 3rd party just outside the front which comes at $49/night, there are other parking options if you don’t mind walking

Would stay again

Richard W

This Courtyard is new, modern and clean The staff is nice and helpful then here comes the issues:Homeless- not hotel’s fault but makes the neighborhood not comfortable to walk around

Hotel Front door is locked and only opens w room key that says somethingPoor soundproofing – People above my unit was super loud They woke us up every morning their walking or whatever they did felt like stampede Not sure who to blame but we didn’t have good sleep all those nightsThey didn’t recognize Marriott status and offer no perks or even a bottle of water… at least to me A Marriott I stayed in LA the same week treated me like a loyal member and I sure will go back to them

Two words sum up this charming guest house – Utterly Superb! My son and I chose to commence our holiday in California at this wonderful location and it was the perfect way to begin After a long and tiring journey we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff and a comfortable, clean and well presented room After a perfect night’s sleep we felt refreshed and ready for our adventures

Breakfast was fantastic with delicious home cooked dishes (I still want the recipe for the homemade granola too!) The location is perfect for exploring and the beach is a short walk, the house is charming with period decor carefully and tastefully updated and appointed with modern amenities I loved the piped classical music which gave a very calm atmosphereThe staff were attentive to our needs and ever friendly, providing great local knowledge to enhance our sightseeing and at all times my son and I felt welcomed My only regret during our 2 night stay was that we were too busy to indulge in the cheese and wine served in the afternoon but judging by the wonderful homemade cookies and sweet treats left out for us, I have no doubt it would have been equally sensational!I cannot rate this guest house highly enough, in a world of sterile concrete and steel hotels which put business efficiency and guest turnaround before customer experience, this location provides the perfect and proper way to relax and unwind on vacation I would (and will) definitely return in futureThank you so very much to Violetta, Delaney and all your kind staff, you made the first 2 days of our American adventure the perfect welcoming experience!!Simon & Thomas Cree(Lincoln, UK)

I had a terrible experience and I will not be coming back I was very nervous to be staying at an inn during the pandemic but had to come out to California for personal reasons, and so I did not want housekeeping coming into my room during my stay I specified that very clearly on my second day via text message, and when I came home that night I saw that housekeeping came in anyway

They moved my personal belongings on the bed being my own flat sheet I had brought from home and my pajamas, and they moved clothing items that I had in my bathroom It ended up making the remainder of my stay extremely uncomfortable and scary since people I don’t know touched my things during a pandemic It is utterly pathetic and unacceptable for an inn who charges at this rate to make such a careless mistake Also, the temperature in the hallway / my room the first couple of days was absurdly warm for the third floor of an inn during an August heat wave, and the inn overall felt very dirty and dingy particularly in the hallways and my bathroom There were black mold spots on the ceiling of the bathroom, rust stains, the door knobs looked disgusting, the AC vents were closed and filthy, and I also did not feel very safe on the property in general It almost feels like a scam saying that my room was such an “upgrade” with “ocean views” You can barely see the ocean; you mainly just see a seedy looking main street with loud traffic The parking lot is also absolutely ridiculous There are not enough spaces, they are too close together, and the whole tiny parking lot is also completely sloped The people in the kitchen were strangely attitude-ish; twice we were walking through the hallway when they almost ran into us and didn’t even say excuse me or apologize Upon arrival the manager also immediately was concerned with taking my credit card information as soon as possible and finding out my car info It was a strange almost hostile feeling For the prices you charge, this is a joke Never staying here again or recommending to anyone Thanks for making my stay extremely stressful

I did not really think this hotel was worth the price considering the condition it is in, however I realize that the vintage feel may appeal to others therefore I am not going to rate this a 2 star The main reason I’m rating this 3 stars is due to the fact that there was a smoke detector hanging on our ceiling in room 7, also the carpet in the hallways was pretty dirty The lady who checked us in was very nice and friendly

They offer breakfast and wine for dinner but I can’t comment on that because we did not eat here The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are decent and the location is pretty nice overall I don’t think I would stay here again because it is not really my style, I’m sure there are people that enjoy this vintage feel and more power to them

Take a break from the mundane Quirky, friendly large room – so what if the BR is small Didn’t come here for a shower

Great location and first rate Michael’s restaurant down the street and walk to the beachI understand that due to COVID hospitality service workers are in short supply But the folks at the hotel were very helpful and worked hard to make us comfortableNote to management:; Give these folks a raise for trying so hard to make us comfortableWill be back

Not worth the price we paidThe only positive is the beautiful hall and the comfortable bedEverything else we had a problem with:- The sink in the bathroom was leaking, you could hear the drops falling every 2 seconds

– The toilet in the bathroom was directly in front of a glass window looking out the street so you either had a public or you had to close the shutters and the room would get pitch black- The elevator was very old, heavy and difficult to maneuver, it made a terrible noise each time you have to get out or get in- There was no fridge in our room whereas less expensive rooms had one (we were staying in the “penthouse” (quotation marks intended) so it makes no sense)- The remote control for the TV didn’t work,- The door of the walk-in closet couldn’t stay open, it kept shutting down by itself and there was no light in it so I had to block the door with my foot every time I wanted to grab something from it- Only one bathrobe in the room when we arrived (we asked for a 2nd one and they gave it to us but when you’ve just arrived and something as basic as this is already wrong it’s annoying)Overall very disappointed with this place, we were happy to leave which is not supposed to happen on holidays

My son & I stayed there for a quick Fathers Day weekend trip It was just a absolute Great Experience The location is Perfect

It close enough to the pier and restaurants but still far enough to get away from the hustle that goes with it The Design of the Hotel is awesome with the open courtyard pool area Very elegant and Relaxing The staff is very pleasant and friendly and that starts with Emily the General Manager She leads by example! I have stayed at a lot of nice places by the beach but this one is the Best! My wife was home and a little jealous! So I have promised to return soon for the two of us Very easy 5 STAR Review

My wife and I booked at the last minute after a change in plans Glad we chose this location based on previous reviews Got upgraded without asking to a marina view on the top (third) floor

The room was nicely appointed with a nice balcony just to the left of the restaurant, not loud at all The heated pool and hot tub were great and used daily (stayed 6 nights) There’s a ton within walking distance (groceries, restaurants, city park, walking and biking paths It was a great choice

Perfect location on the water The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating They go out of their way to make your stay as perfect as possible

Please work on hospitality especially if a mistake is made on your endYou should try your best to go above and beyond for a customer especially if a mistake is made, I didn’t feel that this occurred during my stayFirst they charged my personal card full price for a room that was paid for by my company with contest from me instead of just doing the usual incident fee

Which was a major inconvenienceThen when talking to a concierge or manager about the incident they were very stubborn on doing anything to rectify the situation, but eventually they released the charge, but didn’t offer anything to rectify the inconvenienceThen there was the late fee, even though my stuff was packed and my room was cleaned, because I didn’t know what time checkout was and because I didn’t know that the hotel offered a luggage holding serviceTalking to a customer and trying your best to understand and help the customer would have been better than just seeming money hungryEven though they reduced the charge by 50 dollars which I appreciate, they weren’t very much hospitable or understanding La traffic is a monster in it’s own right and they gave me an ultimatum to come back before the hour even though they knew I was coming back or they would charge me for a full nightI was excited to come to this hotel, because i am a new traveler and this was my first time traveling alone, but the experience that I faced with the manager and concierge I dealt with cheapened and made this experience irritatingHaving a hotel manager insinuate that you don’t have enough money because of a mistake they shouldn’t have made was very annoying and unprofessional as wellThe facility was nice though

I would like to leave a review on behalf of my boss He went to Womack and only sharing and talking about good things that had happened there He said that the guy from the front desk has a good personality

He was so friendly, genuine and had just positive attitude He wished that the world needs more people like him Appreciate him! Kudos for hiring and training great employees

A hotel 6 would have been better than this We paid $500/night for the worst hotel experience of our lives The furniture was old and outdated, the floors were dusty and dirty and the windows were dirty and couldn’t be opened

The bed was pushed towards the window with little room to sit and enjoy the view while there was a huge open area to the other side The ironing board didn’t work (legs were broken) and the chaise had white spots on it and looked as if it hadn’t ever been cleaned The plumbing was clogged and there were very few amenitiesThey had a huge private pool party the day we checked in (which they didn’t warn us about) and we couldn’t use the pool The party was obnoxiously loud and disturbing and had I known about it, I would have gone elsewhere They didn’t clean our room during our entire stay and on the day of checkout we were an hour late checking out and they sent security to threaten us Then they called our room every five minutes to harass us, even though we assured them we were doing our best to get packed upCustomer service is a joke here This hotel is a stand alone hotel and run by a general manager who doesn’t know the first thing about customer service The young guy behind the front desk is extremely RUDE and should be working as a bouncer at a nightclub, not a hotel The staff are untrained and unqualified to be in the service industry (except the Valet, who was extremely friendly and courteous) They do not know how to run a hotel and just trying to keep their dilapidated hotel afloatBe warned, don’t waste your money staying here! We’ve never been so disappointed This place is an EPIC FAILURE

Super modern and very clean I appreciated how I could comfortably walk around the room and bathroom without feeling dirty The hotel looks amazing in the pictures but it was even better in person! I loved the robes, knit throw blankets (so comfy and can bring it with me to the couch), complementary water, and the iPad provided to order room service, wide variety of amenities, and services

All the lights’ intensities can be adjusted with your touch sensor, which was convenient The workers are very friendly and maid service is great Our sink was clogged, but maintenance fixed it up ASAP! One drawback was that the room service food was overpriced for its quality (paid over $20 for 5 pieces of shrimp and $5 for a tiny bottle of Sprite), but that’s the case for most hotels anyways Will definitely be returning here in the future just to see how much nicer the upgraded rooms are 🙂

Hope Nicole

Akemi the supervisor here has such a beautiful spirit! She’s one of the best people I’ve met in the Hotel Business! Including staff here as well, they all are so nice! Including Valet! I am Celebrating my best friend who passed away 1 year ago! They made this trip all the less sad, very friendly people and grateful that we were able to ride bikes for free for their hotel guests as well! Up to 4 hours free bike riding! Beautiful view as well!! 💞

The interactions with all of the staff were impeccable Being a Diamond member with 100+ nights in 2022, I have to say I am beyond impressed with the high level of service that was provided from front desk to bell hop to house keeping The staff remembered me by name

The rooms were clean spacious updated and with ample amounts of phone outlets The firepit and pool areas were great places to relax after a day of sunshine I look forward to returning to this hotel in the future!

We came in town for my husband’s birthday We were there for 3 days and had so much fun All of the staff was great

The rooms were clean and the bed is really really comfortable I love the location and the breakfast was really good Rita made sure we got the most out if our cocktails that night The gentleman at the front desk (I forgot his name) was extremely helpful in helping us find a few places to go

lena vasilyeva

I don’t know who wrote 5 star reviews describing a bellhop and service, I found this place very poorly run, dirty, unattended most of the time and very much like a motel When I got there with a huge suitcase I had to drag it over the entrance that’s fitted with boulder-like non-slip feature which is fine if you can get help but there was no one The carpeting on the floor is thick and nothing rolls over it

The carpet on the floor has huge stains and looked very old Breakfast was disgusting, no coffee, no one to ask about it 15 mins later someone appeared to refill the brew Food selection was on the level of an airport motel This place is a rip off Stay away

Lovely hotel! The entire lobby / restaurant / pool area was recently renovated, and they did a great job freshening it up The lobby is a great place to work with lots of charging stations if you’re here for work, but equally it’s a great hotel to chill out at It has a great vibe and is super relaxing

Location wise it’s just steps away from the beach and the Santa Monica Pier The restaurant is yummy too and there’s a nice coffee shop for the mornings The staff are so kind and super attentive! The rooms haven’t been renovated yet but they still have a really nice old Hollywood charm to them and are super clean Ask for a higher floor or city facing room if you are noise sensitive as you could hear the cars on the ocean side

Melissa Harwood

Stopped in Santa Monica, celebrating my honeymoon and stayed at Viceroy for two nights SERVICE is impeccable From the minute you get out of your vehicle at valet, to the front desk, to the pool area, to the restaurant they have, to literally everyone you pass- everything is absolutely amazing

The pool/lounge/restaurant area is just incredible Location is close to the pier but without being so close to all the loud noise and crowds Easily accessible to the beach and bike rentals Viceroy actually has bikes you can use We stayed on the 6th floor, facing the ocean which had a perfect view Room is very spacious, bathroom is gorgeous I highly recommend staying here Very very luxurious!

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday and I wanted something with a complete vibe! The hotel was absolutely beautiful! The restaurant was so nice and the food & drinks were amazing! You literally do not need to leave the hotel! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the gentleman at the front desk While checking us in he reminded me & my sister he remembered speaking with us a couple weeks prior To start off my birthday they poured me and the rest of my party of seven a glass of champagne

The next day the manager William sent 2 bottles of champagne to our room with a happy birthday card This is my far the best hotel in Santa Monica!

Very nice, but pricey, beach hotel Expected an exceptional stay for our honeymoon for what we were paying but left rather disappointed However, we did enjoy the great views of the beach and ocean, complimentary bike rentals, excellent outdoor pool and bar area, and the nice restaurants and food options

Cons:-Room was not ready at check in time-Our flight home was delayed and we requested to stay an additional night but they were rude about it and less than accommodatingPros:-Upgraded our room-Excellent service from the staff (minus the front desk lady when we inquired about an additional night) Some of the staff even knew us by name before we left

Jem G

This is the only place to stay in Santa Monica Obviously, the location can’t be beat Staff were amazing, the place felt really welcoming

Room always looked spotless and the house keeping staff we met were super friendly Concierge helped me set up some surfing lessons and gave us some pointers on where to go diving (though sadly couldn’t help us arrange the ferry out) Breakfasts at Coast were excellent too, with fab service Can’t wait to come back!

Max Sanna

Amazingly well kept hotel, with excellent service all around in a great location right on the boardwalk Food is great, and the rooms are spacious yet very cosy and will let you have a very good sleepThe gym is decent and provides the basics you’d expect in a hotel gym, and is very clean

Perhaps the pool could use a little renovation but it’s still very niceI look forward to stay here again!
